I don’t know about the USA but my observation is that if the European leadership is planning to start a big war either with Russia or China it (the leadership class) better prepare to go to the frontline.
As dim as they are, I don’t have the feeling that the European masses are in the mood or shape to be drafted into a suicidal war. As it is, most people in Europe are sick and tired of the imposed sacrifices they have been forced to endure for the war.
I think what we are seeing is a bumbling leadership in anguish.
I believe you hit the nail in the head. The must start a war to hide the theft and other crimes against the people. It is well known that in the USA alone the theft is above $30 trillion dollars and some economists estimate more like $50 trillion. Our inflation “real” numbers are above 17% and on the way to 20% very quickly using proper calculators. Both political parties and the bankers agreed to destroy our world this way. Derivative debt is beyond imagine in the quad billions.
“World War, World War, the Americans are itching for war, there’s going to be a World war”.
I really do not think there will be a World War (conventional or otherwise), even though constantly screaming that there will be, definitely generates a lot of clicks.
Secondly, if there is a World War 3, it might start conventional, but it will not end conventional, no amount of wishful thinking will change that. When one side sees their imminent defeat, the nukes are going to come out, and if they do not, it only serves to illustrate that there is an inordinate amount of Kabuki going on.
The people in charge like money, power, and control. What good is that if you are stuck several kilometers under the ground with a group of people who are just as disgusting as they are. I cannot imagine that would be any kind of fun.
Let us not forget that for most people, unless they happen to be in the aforementioned bunker when this World War kicks off, it is very unlikely they will get to it. I am sure the 0.1% will, but that is about it. The rest of us will receive the customary 4-minute warning, which is about enough time for a few shots of the good stuff.
Putin is not biting; the only way NATO is going to get him to commit is by doing something bad and I am not talking about failing to demo a bridge or launching some poxy drones at a seaport. The instigation will have to be something that he absolutely cannot turn the other cheek on, and I do not see the cavalcade of cowards that run NATO doing anything like that. Granted they may get more severe than they have been so far, but that is just going to cost Ukraine more electricity and more water.
I will not say it cannot happen, obviously it could, but what is going on now is far more controlled than we will ever know. I just do not see it going there and I think that even if it looks like it is going to go there, even if there is some use of a dirty bomb or a tactical nuclear weapon, everyone will very quickly pull back because despite all the bluster and rhetoric, they all know where continuing would lead.
What is more likely is that this will pirouette its way right out of the news cycle at some point only to make way for whatever train wreck of a narrative is coming next, no doubt already meticulously planned, think tanked, war gamed and modeled ad nauseam.
PS: Nothing against Mr. Lira, I like some of what he has to say, but the war hysteria is unhelpful.
Though nearly every war is fought for economic reasons, such a war to change the world dynamic of inflation, supply chain bottlenecks and Chinese dominance does not have a ‘gain’ for the West in pure economic need.
The Euro Zone nations need energy. The US needs vital strategic minerals for high tech products. The common source is Russia. Additionally, Russia has the world’s largest supply of fresh water and produces wheat and grains at prodigious rates.
So, targeting Russia to capture from her all these natural resources makes sense.
What doesn’t make sense is the war needed to do so. Russia will use nuclear weapons if attacked. End of war.
Trying to configure a conventional land war against Russia is impossible due to the need for attackers to gain air supremacy and dominance. The Russian air defense systems prevent that possibility. End of war.
Trying to expand the Ukie war, well, we see how timid (rightfully so) Brussels Alliance is. They send Poles and Liths and other mercs, but won’t send their own uniformed troops. They know Russia will destroy the illusion of NATO dominance. End of war.
The US flirts with suggestions and feints of sending its military against Russia, but everyone knows the US will lose ungodly numbers of land troops and naval forces if it directly attacks Russia. End of war.
So, where is the war the EU and US need? It gains nothing to ignite the ME or SE or NE Asia. Don’t forget what they are in dire need of. Natural Resources to be stolen (won?) in war with Russia.
But Russia will destroy both EU and US if they launch such a war.
So, the only war possible is the war they have now, the SMO in Ukraine, which will devour Ukraine and is weakening the NATO nations which weakens the US. This is the war they wanted, the war they designed and the war that will be hung around their defeated necks.
If they think they can keep this war going until Russia loses, they will learn otherwise.
Russia is just now beginning the start of the serious kinetic war. The West is snared in their own trap.
The US and EU have NATO to sacrifice as the signatory to surrender. Ukraine and Zelensky will be long gone when Shoigu’s Guards Tank Armies and Airborne stop rolling and Guards Air Defense stop their missile attacks and defenses.
Putin is gathering the Russian lands to Mother. The West came for Mother’s riches and got a war the West cannot win.
They know they have to use unconventional warfare since the failure of the u.n forces in the korean war lead by MacArthur. No western land force was ever won a ground war in Asia, hence the “land war in asia” princess bride trope. Also napoleon and hitler’s invasions as well.
They are going use terrorism, funded by drug cartels. Same game they have been playing in Afghanistan and latin america. Followed by homosexuality and degenercy. Homosexuals are very big drug users.
Nato/anglo/israel/u.s are fighting russia openly in ukraine, while they are fighting China covertly. The opium war cartel in Afghanistan failed. China is no longer cooperating with u.s DEA on fentanyl, so expect more of that going to Mexico and the u.s.
Trading an arm for two legs is not unheard of. So far the major players, the main instigators, have escaped harm. Fake money, endless flows, float an entire armada of men and equipment.
Larch wrote: “The Euro Zone nations need energy. The US needs vital strategic minerals for high tech products.”
Both the EU/UK and the US already have enough energy sources. They do NOT have to look to Russia for that need. Go to http://www.oilprice.com and see how monolithic this system is.
As noted with Rubicon’s Addendum, Dr. Michael Hudson has pointed out how the EU/UK/US Oil/Gas/Natural Gas Monopolists are purposely raising their rates which is causing huge inflation rates.
Western Capitalism is based on maintaining the profits of the Ultra Wealthy, via the Big Banks, The FED and the Monopolists. They all work in sync with each other to maintain their wealth and power.
Yes Ann.
As they know about the inflation, for the same reason. As with the attacks on energy and food supply.
I know that Andre doesn’t like too much simplification of what’s going down, but everything from the destruction of Ukraine, to destruction of the financial world, to depopulation, does have one common denominator.
The mob who hate us and worship Satan/Baal, who openly admit, even brag, that they are aiming to recreate their homeland. Can’t do that without emptying it first.
They double hate Russians. Putin is anathema to them, so probably triple now.
The politicians who facilitate this foolishly believe that they will be left unscathed, instead of being first to the wall, as they know too much.
On another tack, I know shearers who make more money than those mercs in a week and sleep well in a comfortable bed at night, eat the best of food and often get to see all the stars, in clear clean skies.
There is a world shortage of them, too.
I agree with you 100% that inflation is a big issue and Western governments mainly the US will have to find something to distract the population with. Where I disagree is that it will be a war with Russia, honestly I see it happening less and less. It’s my belief the US has already given up on Ukraine and is gearing up for the next provocation and that is China, we see the beginnings of a trade war, Ursula Van whatever is already saying China is the #1 priority. I believe a trade war with China and even a possible confrontation/skirmish is in the cards, Taiwan is the next offering to be scarified to keep the people distracted.
Russia/Ukraine just didn’t work out for the USA, Russia has shown they are willing to fight, the military has not collapsed, a large percentage of the population is now onboard fully with nationalism/Putin, the chances for a Nalvany like successor to Putin are almost zero. Putin has also proven himself to be a capable leader as well as his leadership staff both on the political side as well as military, etc. Russia is a nut that cannot be cracked this time around and the tide is changing now with the political situation in Russia necessitating Putin respond to any provocations whether his legalistic character/personality wants to or not. Putin has also delegated the Ukraine theater primary command responsibility to Surovikin whom the West/Ukraine cannot predict reliably what he will do as they can with Putin. The Ukraine mess is becoming too complicated and messy for the USA and the risk of the Russians attacking western assets in the Black Sea and the West not responding in a forceful manner grows by the hour.
Simply put it’s time to move on to China it looks like, if I was XI/China I would be worried as China contrary to all popular opinions is much weaker than Russia both militarily/politically and perhaps economically. Yeah China’s economy is huge as well as their population but they have not been tested at any point recently and it is an open question whether that population/culture will really stick together and how big of a fifth column is in the country.
Watch your back China, also inflation in the US is no joke a dozen eggs is running around $6 dollars and change right now in my neck of the woods(and I am not in a high cost area) and a gallon of gas is north of $4, if you are not on food stamps(I am not) your food/commodity costs are going up very quickly. The USG needs a distraction quick and China is it.
What many in the West especially in US fail to realise that the zone B has already more or less escaped the clutches of the West.
No strategy is going to put the genie back in the bottle.
The fact is Asean is a bigger trade partner than US. As are many other regions.
In 1950 ties the West had technology, money, markets and access to cheap resources.
Now zone B has more of all that plus the manufacturing poweress.
In 1950 ties with exception of Japan and Russia even a needle had to be purchased from the West.
US gained from having highly skilled European migrants, vast local resources and huge market plus it’s creation of mass manufacturing.
It has no wonderwaffe in terms of the items listed above. So essentially it’s a matter of control of organizations which either will be dismantled or taken over by different players. Then the West will no longer be a hegemon.
Russia is accelerating the process of dismantling the organisations and the rationale for them. Even if Russia doesn’t do it it will happen eventually with many hiccups.
The amount of pain that zone B can take is much much more than the West because it’s social and economic systems are so over leveraged that they will collapse. For Zone B it’s life as usual
That is the difference! Don’t fear for china fear for yourselves.
The US Treasury is going to sell $550 billion of new debt in 4th Quarter of 2022 and its not going to be at a rate of 0%.
Interest on the US sovereign debt is fast approaching $1 trillion per year. Biden will probably celebrate this as a new record statistic for his administration!
Bear in mind that seeing the writing on the wall, the Elites of a society have historically looted the joint on their way out the door.
The subject was “inflation.” Dr. Michael Hudson has an article on Inflation and how it benefits the top Wealthiest, such as Big Oil/Gas in the US, and in the UK. William Engdahl has also written about this “I” word.
Inflation can cause all sorts of havoc for millions of citizens. In the 80’s FED Chair Volcker purposely increased interest rates, up to about 20%. That was bad enough, but these rates caused very high inflation rates.
Volcker’s real motive was in destroying as many labor jobs in the US. US corporations, Big Business hate Labor because paying all those wages decreases the amount of profit these Criminals end up with.
That’s one of the key reasons why in the EU/US inflation costs have risen very high. It’s a way to destroy as many labor jobs as possible. In the US, http://www.shadowstats.com, measured Inflation rates to 15%.
But there are other reasons why inflation is perpetrated against citizens in the US/UK/EU. It has to do with CPI and the Big Oil/Gas/Natural Gas Monsters who are seizing immense profits from Inflation.
We’ll try to find a far more in-depth understanding of Inflation. But for now, it’s causing untold grief in the Western World, while the big monpolists are making off with untold billions.
Addendum to what we wrote earlier about Inflation. Dr. Michael Hudson points specifically to the high inflation rates in the EU/UK and the US.
He says, it is the Big Monopolist Powers of Oil/GAS/Natural Gas that are purposely raising their rates against citizens because it’s providing more $$$ for them. (In no way, are those Monopolists burdened by a lack of energy.)This in turn pits them against millions of citizens who are struggling in paying these astronomical costs.
Ditto with food and other goods. The Big Monopolists there are doing likewise.
The end result with high inflation, and high interest rates is to cause greater and greater pain for millions of common citizens.

Trading an arm for two legs is not unheard of. So far the major players, the main instigators, have escaped harm. Fake money, endless flows, float an entire armada of men and equipment.
True sean, but when this escalates, which appears imminent, at the very least there will be harm to reputation.
