A US judge has dismissed claims against Saudi Arabia by families of victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, who accused the country of providing material support to Al Qaeda.
District Judge George Daniels in Manhattan said Saudi Arabia had sovereign immunity from damage claims by families of nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks, and from insurers that covered losses suffered by building owners and businesses.
Three banks must turn over Sudanese funds to victims of al Qaeda’s deadly 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen to help satisfy a $315 million judgment, a U.S. appeals court ruled on Wednesday.
>The plaintiffs, 15 American sailors injured in the attack and three of their spouses, filed a lawsuit in 2010 against Sudan in Washington, D.C., claiming the country provided material support to al Qaeda that helped facilitate the bombing.
>In an effort to collect some of the money, the plaintiffs secured orders from U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres in New York requiring the banks to turn over certain assets they held for Sudan.
The amount of money held in the accounts is redacted from court filings.
The banks themselves were not parties to the appeal and did not contest the orders.
Any leader even thinking of working with the US there is signing their own death warrants. If the Russians,Chinese,or Iranians don’t kill them (very likely). The ISIS will get them.ISIS may let those leaders survive long enough to invite them in.But to ISIS they are just “dead men walking” to kill “next”.Especially, the Azerbaijanis.Have they forgotten how ISIS feels about Shia (them).
Another article here more relevant to anti Russian anti Iranian. Kosovo is part of Obama’s anti Assad meeting at the UN?
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/09/29/us-un-assembly-russia-complaint-idUSKCN0RT25I20150929
Russia’s U.N. envoy complained about the presence of Kosovo representatives at a counter-terrorism summit organized by the United States on Tuesday, saying the U.N. building was under the “command” of U.S. President Barack Obama.
“They (Kosovo officials) are sitting in the hall together with other U.N. members,” Russian U.N. Ambassador Vitaly Churkin told reporters. “It is not correct, of course. To hold such meetings on U.N. premises means they have no respect for the U.N. … It is beyond U.N. rules.”
More than 110 countries have recognized Kosovo. While it is a member of a number of international organizations, it is unable to join the United Nations as long as Russia, which has veto power on the Security Council, opposes its U.N. membership.
I had to laugh at the title – US to build anti-Russian and anti-Iranian axis, and out of what? That axis between Iran and Russia looks more like a cauldron to me.
All the US is doing now is running. I bet if we plot their movements on a map over time we’ll see them scurrying from one marginal area to another, getting beaten back at every turn by boots on the ground. We’ll see them sending in the planes to evacuate their special forces and local Gladio assets – just as they’re announcing now for Syria – and moving on to their next worthless plan.
One day the world will see the US trapped in a corner of its own design, caught in a hole so deep that no amount of complicity from the free world nations can help the US save face in its humiliation and defeat. Evacuation helicopters on the roof of the US embassy, somewhere else this time. At this point, the American people will finally have to be told their government is a loser, and a liar. And then the hatred comes home, and it all starts to unravel internally for the US.
When that happens, I guess I’ll still be here in Texas, trying to find a safe ledge to stand on, and hoping things don’t get too ugly. I’ll keep you posted. But I’ll rejoice for the victory of the free world nations.
Adding to the enormous death toll of the Saudi war against Yemen, Saudi warplanes today attacked a wedding party near the port city of Mocha, killing the groom and a huge number of civilians, with at least 131 confirmed dead in the latest reports from medical officials.
So what has been the result of the six-month long pummeling of Yemeni civilians by Saudi warplanes? 5,000 killed, over 2,300 civilians dead, ports blockaded, creating a colossal humanitarian crisis. Infrastructure leveled, port cities destroyed, this war of attrition that Yemenis are being subjected to feels more like a punishment than anything, and once it’s all over it will take decades to put their country back together.
I’ll bet most people here forgot that Sunday was Poroshenko’s birthday,I know I forgot. But before we all get excited and start to wish him a belated “Happy Birthday”.I thought it might be nice to see some of the thoughts Ukrainians and Novorossians are having about his happy day:
“The news agency Novorosinfo could not ignore this event. Scores of residents of Donbas and the former Ukraine expressed their desire to congratulate Poroshenko. Unfortunately, most of them can not be quoted here because of the censorship. We will provide a selection of the typical ones, though.
I will also write a couple of lines. Long ago, in another country, in another world, a little boy named Peter was born. Certainly, it was a happy event for his family.
The boy grew up, studied hard and, as they say, was kind and sympathetic. Probably, like all boys of his age he dreamed of becoming a sea captain or a cosmonaut. He played war games fighting the Nazis. And then he grew up …
I wish not to this grown-up Petr Alekseevich, but to that boy to find a “time machine” and to visit Vanya in a Moscow hospital, to talk to the children in Gorlovka, Pervomaisk, Lugansk. To be in Odessa on May 2 and to see a Nazi march in Kharkov.
Then I would turn on the TV and let him listen to the speech of an adult Petr.
————————–
Today, on the twenty-sixth of September, the fifth President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko is celebrating his birthday! Undoubtedly, for the natives, the birthday of their governor-general is a very important and significant event. That is why the Ukies staged a competition – who will congratulate this war criminal with more sickly-sweet pathos.
In a frenzy of crazed adoration these patriotic Ukrainians wished all kinds of goodies: “wealth” (to this oligarch who has robbed them?), good health to the children (well, the children of Petr Alekseevich are in London, so they will be all right), and speedy victory over the “Moskals”.
————————
Disesteemed Petr Alekseyevich!
We would like to congratulate you on the day of your birth (damn that day).
We wish you and your family to hear the whizzing of shells flying close, we wish you to live in the basement for a year or two while bombs will be hitting your house.
We also wish that your workplace is hit with a ballistic missile “Tochka U” and you, with your whole team, are crushed under the rubble!
What else do you wish? In general – damn you!
——————————-
We do not congratulate Petrushka Alkoshenko with his jubilee and wish him …. To be brought before the tribunal of the people of Donbas. Let this bastard be brought to account for all his crimes!
May the tunes of Frederic Chopin sound in his ears along with groans, prayers and sobs of women, children and the elderly of Donbas.
———————-
May the crying of the killed and maimed children of Donbas accompany you every night till your death.
We wish your grandchildren would be consumed by a fierce fratricide. And you, scoundrel, should be witnessing that and remembering how people in Odessa were burnt alive.
—————————————-
Peter has achieved a lot. He can be proud of himself – mountains of corpses, neck-deep in blood, poverty in the country – you are “the best” president of Ukraina-Ruina, Peter, congratulations!
Burn in hell, scumbag! And while you live – be tormented every moment of day and night ….

It does not matter on what day a pig was born, it is important what day it will slaughtered … We will mark the occasion then.”
Empathy is something you are born with. The little boy would have passed the time pulling wings off flies and skewering frogs.
When I was younger I liked hunting. Later I spent a couple of years professional kangeroo shooting for the skins. At first it was no problems. All had too be head shot. The rifle I used took the top off the head. After two years I could not do it any more. I am not sure that people become hardened to killing. It is something they are born with.
Defense is a different matter. Defending my family, defending my country, I would have no problems with that.
AZAROV: “I WAS NEVER AS ASHAMED FOR UKRAINE AS DURING POROSHENKO’S UN SPEECH”
I had never experienced such level of shame due to Ukraine’s humiliation as after listening to Poroshenko’s speech at the UN General Assembly.
During the whole history of the UN, our representatives have never given such empty speeches bereft of sense and content and instead full of dishonest statements which only bring shame to the entire country–which happens to be one of the founding members of the UN, which Poroshenko didn’t even deign to acknowledge at this jubilee session.
Yanukovych could occasionally confuse Akhmatova with Akhmetova in an improvised speech, but his official speeches were always prepared very thoroughly, they were always thought-through and balanced.
In order to show what I mean, I’ll cite a few of Poroshenko’s “gems”.
How are we to understand this phrase of his: “In order to reduce poverty by a factor of three–nevertheless thanks to the Russian aggression, we expect that indicator to decrease.”
Did anyone understand what he had in mind? So will the level of poverty decrease or not decrease? If we are to use the UN criteria, the vast majority of Ukraine’s population is living below the poverty line, and it is not the mythical Russian aggression that is responsible, but Mr. Poroshenko & Co with his inherent greed. Even two years ago our country occupied a respectable mid-range position, according to UN criteria, while today we are one of the world’s poorest countries.
According to Poroshenko & Co, “every day of the war costs $5 million.” An interesting admission. First of all, in theory there is no war, only the ATO. Secondly, and of greater interest to every “ATO participant”, is that Poroshenko spends $50 a day on each of ATO servicemembers. There have been no active combat operations since the Debaltsevo cauldron of February 2015, so one wonders “where are these huges sums going”? Into “whose pocket”? (This based on calculation that there are 100 thousand ATO participants at the front line, though in actuality there are far fewer of them).
It was interesting to listen to his promise to “improve maternal health care system.” What was that supposed to mean? Additional cuts and cancellations of benefits due to mothers after childbirth? Well, they are working pretty hard on that. They haven’t built or brought into operation a single maternity center in a year and a half, not a single pre-natal center. Yanukovych’s “evil government” was actively engaged in building them and managed to reduce the infant mortality rate. But today’s “European” leadership has not even managed to provide hospitals with sufficient medicines and vaccines. It’s running around the whole world, begging, but Russia’s “aggression” is somehow responsible?
Then there’s Poroshenko’s promise to “increase the quality of higher education” which fits perfectly with Yatsenyuk’s project to completely do away with free higher education. What do the peasants need education for???
Naturally, a large part of the speech was dedicated to “Russian aggression” which supposedly led to the “deaths of thousands of people and the destruction of critical infrastructure.” Here Poroshenko even shed a tear or two. As if it wasn’t Turchinov who sent tanks to the Donbass, and it wasn’t Poroshenko who gave orders to shell cities and other populated areas using rocket artillery, howitzers, aircraft, and all other types of weapons. As if it wasn’t Poroshenko who gave the order to destroy gas pipelines, electric transmission lines and substations, water mains, bridges.
His crocodile tears on the subject of a horrible ecological catastrophe due to the Donbass being saturated with harmful industries are totally critically, so much so that if one recalls the Tochka-U ballistic missile strikes aimed at the underground storage facilities of the Gorlovka and Donetsk Chemical Plants, one starts to shudder at the thought that such people are in power and have highly destructive weapons at their disposal.
Reading the text of the speech, one gets the impression it was written by foreigners who don’t understand the reality of Ukraine’s problems, who wrote it quickly, in a hurry, in order to satisfy a specific audience. They apparently achieved their goal, but Ukraine got nothing except for humiliation and empty promises.
I have just watched Poroshenko’s speech. Sickening stuff, though it didn’t make me feel as ill as Obama’s outpouring did. But why did he give it in English? Yes, his English is good, but it is not good enough. It made him seem incompetent and at times ridiculous. Obviously the content would do this all on its own but why make it worse? Surely he would come across more authoritative in his own language. Or is it that his Ukrainian isn’t good enough and he is boycotting Russian? Also I noticed that every time he made a particularly telling point about Russian aggression you could hear frantic clapping – then the cameras panned round and you saw the Ukrainian contingent clapping their hands off. The camera never drew back, so you can’t tell if they alone are clapping (I’m just assuming).
Live on RT – Russian lawmakers authorise use of country’s military abroad; air force to provide support to Syrian Govt.; no Russian boots on the ground; Unanimous vote; voted to start ops in Syria; Number 1 aim to fight terrorism and protect Russia’s national interest;

French investigators opened an inquiry for crimes against humanity against Asad Govt. announced on the morning when Russian parliament agrees to help Syria and following the illegal French airstrikes. As I mentioned yesterday France in all its colonial glory……this was all about regime change.
All that keeps going through my mind is Putin’s words at UNGA – “we cannot tolerate it anymore”.
The war is on. Putin will do what is right for Russia and her allies. Read this article all the way through the “comments” and notice particularly the report on what FOX News is saying, I’ve a feeling I know much how that meeting between Putin and Obama went down.
Russia has stated on more than one occasion that “Iran is our close neighbor, just south of the Caucasus. Should anything happen to Iran, should Iran get drawn into any political or military hardships, this will be a direct threat to our national security.”
An Attack On One Is An Attack On All…
With the civil war ravaged Syrian nation bordering America’s Turkish NATO partner to its south, if any of Assad’s forces strike sovereign Turkish territory, the Ankara government could not only legitimately strike back, but every NATO member state would be treaty bound to militarily assist in any armed response.
Subsequently, both the Russians and the Iranians would have no choice but to come to the defense of their mutual ally in Damascus.

A set of terror bombings have struck inside China.Mail bombs (15 as of now) sent in packages have exploded killing 6 people so far,and 13 others injured. While right now they don’t know who did it.I think we can probably guess, that it was terrorists supported by the US and by Turkey. Its time for China to get serious about crushing those groups and striking back at their backers as well. And a good start would be sending troops to join Russia in destroying ISIS in Syria.BTW,the Duma just unanimously granted Putin’s request for the military to fight in Syria against the terrorists.
They only showed a part of the video. Before that Putin was standing there waiting for Abe, and it showed him look at his watch. If you remember Putin is notorious for being late to meeting’s.While the Japanese are usually early.I guess for some reason Abe got held up and was late. That’s why he was running in.He may have seen Putin looking at his watch (or someone told him) and he was making a joke about “running to get there”.They both were smiling over it.
I think Jim has it correct again:

Muslim extremists? NOPE. Logic would dictate that this is the direct result of Israel getting busted for setting up the Hajj stampede and kidnapping of much of Iran’s government, and was most likely launched from either space or stealth aircraft. With Russia going hot in Syria, and Israel getting busted wholesale, the only “save face” action they can do now is start random bombing the world and HOPE the world believes it is “Islamic extremists
I think we are seeing a tectonic shift in the world as we know it. For the first time in many decades US has been told to stop something they are doing by a country that has the might to back up their words and apparently is judged willing to use that might. Russia has made no threats whatsoever that I know of as to what she may or may not do if US/NATO does not listen to the friendly advice but being an avid pupil of Mr. Putin I would say Mr. Putin never bluffs and never does anything without being in a position of strength.
VVP has also made perfectly clear his thoughts on the legalities needed before any military operations of any kind can be made, to wit, either an invitation by the legal head of a country’s government or by UNSC resolution, neither of which was given before or during the US/NATO air attacks on sovereign Syrian territory. President Assad has made a request for military assistance to Russia, ergo Russian assistance in any form to Syrian Armed Forces is legal.
I don’t know if this tectonic shift is good, bad or indifferent but something has to be done about the continuous wars of the last 65 years, most started or abetted by US/NATO/EU one way or another although SSSR had their full share of misadventures, make no mistake of that.
“The allegations in the complaint alone do not provide this court with a basis to assert jurisdiction over defendants,” Judge Daniels wrote.

Also I noticed that every time he made a particularly telling point about Russian aggression you could hear frantic clapping – then the cameras panned round and you saw the Ukrainian contingent clapping their hands off. The camera never drew back, so you can’t tell if they alone are clapping (I’m just assuming).
Dear The Saker,
Live on RT – Russian lawmakers authorise use of country’s military abroad; air force to provide support to Syrian Govt.; no Russian boots on the ground; Unanimous vote; voted to start ops in Syria; Number 1 aim to fight terrorism and protect Russia’s national interest;
US to open lines of communications. US still not wanting Asad to stay – yeah right.

Interesting pic on Rense up today (changes daily).
Now that Putin seems to have woken up, what about China?

http://www.examiner.com/article/the-russia-iran-syria-mutual-defense-treaties-the-western-media-missed
As noted on the official website of the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies (Jenkins, 17), the Russian Federation maintains mutual defense treaties with both Syria and Iran.
At the same time as Russian announcement about request from Syrian Govt. – NATO bombing in Afghanistan:

Fast reaction, note, to anyone threatening Job 1, doing Gawd’s Work there!
Bagram AB in NE Afghanistan is initial air exit point.
There are many even better detailed maps than this, showing all modes (marine, air, land), & all the nexus points which happen to be NATO countries/airbases (Germersheim just one)

Amusing body language in this brief video of Japan’s PM Abe and Vladimir Putin.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdaAKnTsVoA
They only showed a part of the video. Before that Putin was standing there waiting for Abe, and it showed him look at his watch. If you remember Putin is notorious for being late to meeting’s.While the Japanese are usually early.I guess for some reason Abe got held up and was late. That’s why he was running in.He may have seen Putin looking at his watch (or someone told him) and he was making a joke about “running to get there”.They both were smiling over it.
I think Jim has it correct again:
(note that the hajj fatality toll now listed on Iran news sites as 4000+ killed, another 2000 injured with scores still in hospital—he had said ‘7000’ many days ago when the ‘official death toll was 700’)

Massive blasts all over China today
Blasts were reported in 13 locations, including at a shopping mall, a prison, a county government office, a supermarket, a transport station, a hospital, a staff dormitory of animal husbandry, a vegetable market, and a disease control center
