Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has called on Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to assist in normalization of relations between Ankara and Moscow, Nikolic’s press service said in a statement on Tuesday.
BELGRADE (Sputnik) — Moscow’s relations with Ankara deteriorated after a Russian Su-24 aircraft was downed on November 24 by a missile fired from a Turkish F-16 fighter over Syria in response to an alleged violation of Turkish airspace. Russia introduced a set of restrictive measures against Turkey in response to the downing of the aircraft, which it said never crossed into Turkish airspace.
“He [Davutoglu] has called on Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to assist in a dispute with Russia and expressed him Turkey’s intention to have normal relations with this country, and the president gladly agreed,” the statement reads.
Davutoglu arrived in Serbia on Monday for a two-day visit. He told Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic that Turkey was not afraid of sanctions, but both Ankara and Moscow would suffer losses if restrictions continue.

At the end of his speech, Erdogan added that Ankara is not seeking to make enemies, and is ready to make friends. WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US-led coalition against Daesh (Islamic State) launched 31 airstrikes against the terrorist group positions in Syria and in Iraq, Combined Joint Task Force — Operation Inherent Resolve said in a press release on Tuesday.
“In Syria, coalition military forces conducted nine strikes using attack, bomber, and remotely piloted aircraft,” the release said. “In Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 22 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using fighter, attack, bomber, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets.”

MOSCOW (Sputnik), Alexander Mosesov – On Monday, the United Nations announced that more than 450 civilians had been evacuated from areas besieged by militants in Syria under a ceasefire deal reached with the government. They were evacuated by land and air through Turkey and Lebanon to agreed final destinations where urgent medical assistance could be provided if needed.
“We do not announce these operations in advance. For security reasons we communicate about them when they have taken place,” Laerke said.
The Deputy Co-Chairman of the canton of Jazira (Syrian Kurdistan) spoke to Sputnik in an exclusive interview about what the command of Jazira has to say about the Russian anti-terrorist operation in Syria.
Hussain said that the situation in matters of security and defense has generally improved.
Talking about the presence of Daesh militants in the region, Hussain said, “In our canton there are sometimes clashes between the troops of the Union of the Democratic Forces of Syria and militants of Daesh (Islamic State). But the major part of the territory in the province of Hasakah has been cleared of jihadists. Recently, the soldiers of the Democratic Forces of Syria drove the militants from the area of Hol in Hasakah. Presently, there are clashes in the area of Sheddadi,” Hussain said during the interview.
Talking about the Russian anti-terrorist campaign, Hussain said, “We believe that the Russian air strikes on militant positions of Daesh are very important in the fight against terrorism. Russia defends the Syrian people. We very much hope that in the future our relations with Russia will develop more actively and that there will be more opportunities for cooperation.”
ANKARA (Sputnik) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan considers liberating Jarabulus, a Syrian northern city near the Turkish border, from Islamic State (IS or Daesh in Arabic) militants to be a priority task of the US-led international coalition.
“Coalition forces are currently conducting operations against IS in Jarabulus, its liberation from IS is a priority task. These attempts are being continued, and we will do it,” Erdogan said at a press conference at Istanbul’s airport before departing for Saudi Arabia.
According to Erdogan, there is still no exact data for the transition of Syrian Kurds divisions to the west bank of the Euphrates river, which Ankara had previously strongly opposed.
“We can not close our eyes to the activity of such terrorist organizations, as the [Syrian Kurdish] Democratic Union Party and its [military wing] YPG, which are carrying out ethnic cleaning; we can not recognize them simply because they fight against IS, because if we did so, it would only add fuel to the fire,” Erdogan said.
You only posted half the news.. The transfer is from 2 different places.. The terrorists will leave for Lebanon to fly to turkey, The shias surrounded by the terrorists elsewhere will go to turkey to fly to Lebanon and then onto Damascus.. So it is not a clear case of letting the terrorists go.. Although Syria will gain a terrorist free town and the terrorists will gain 2 shia towns now vacated.. Its a deal to save the civilians surrounded by terrorists. And a few thousand terrorists moving to a different terrorist held town wont make a difference but to the civilians who had to endure living under their rule. Those civilians will now come under Syrian government control and can vote.. Its what Obama would do.. actually Obama would just give them green cards and plead with them to vote for him.
Also remember, syrians get free medical care.. even terrorists.. Its a big strain on the system.. better to let them go somewhere else to get treatment. This is not a US style imperial control system but a government trying to deal with its own civilians.. US can take chances and let large number of subjects die as we saw in Iraq.. But you wont appreciate it if your own government is refusing to treat you because you smell like a terrorist. Which is why Assad gets better than 70% approval rates.. Obama gets what 30%?

Saudi Arabia’s Aramco Oil Company Comes under Yemen’s Ballistic Missile Attack Again http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13941008000332
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Yemeni army and popular forces targeted Saudi Arabia’s Aramco Oil Company in the Southern province of Jizan with Qaher-I ballistic missiles for a second time in less than two weeks.
“The (Qaher-I) missile precisely hit Aramco oil company on Monday night,” the Arabic-language media outlets quoted an unnamed Yemeni army official as saying on Tuesday.
He reiterated that the missile attack came in retaliation for the Saudi-led aggressors’ violation of the UN-sponsored ceasefire.
Yet, the source did not give further details about the damage incurred on Aramco Company.
On December 21, the Yemeni forces also hit Aramco Oil Company with Qaher-I ballistic missile.
Qaher-1 cannot be a “home made” missile, not if the reports of the accuracy (within 1 meter it seems) & resulting direct hit casualties it causes. Short range in any case (maybe 100 km).
Same for that guided missile they claim has now sunk the other day the 8th Saudi navy patrol vessel off the coast.
Another dyslexic western imperial propaganda laced report on homs.. by

Syria’s Stalingrad
This is the Homs model from the regime’s perspective: surround and besiege rebel-held areas until the price is so high that any surviving fighters surrender. The destruction left behind serves as a deterrent for others. Supporters of the government say that fear of a repeat of the ravaging of Homs is one major reason why militias around Damascus, like Zahran Alloush’s Army of Islam, have largely kept their indiscriminate shelling of the city center to a minimum.
After reading that article you linked. And the comments on it. Only reinforces my belief that war will end this divide. One side or the other will end destroying the other. History shows no other way. And we thinking “this time will be different” is only wishful thinking.
You actually read it? I usually read everything, or at least run through it and cut the best bits to post but this one made me throw up. You know I am not sure this guy was even there and it is a plagiarized report.. The term imperial asswipe was because they used the report from a pretty balanced report by someone else.. changed it for imperial propaganda purposes and re posted it after editing it to suit their purpose.. The entire thing is suspiciously disjointed.. Some of the comments to show sympathy etc seems to be forcefully introduced into it.. since they used a real report it is accurate at places.. makes it look authentic.. good enough to publish on a think tank on policy.. Since I had read the original report I already knew the gist of it but this one I could not stand it for its sheer bias, lies and propaganda added to it. Why it is so dangerous.. People might actually give some weight to it thinking it is real..
I mean the guy has the balls to talk about shelling downtown Damascus a town holding over like 5 million people with indiscriminate shelling.. As if that is a okay thing to do when fighting for your rights.. I only thought about shoving a tow up his tale pipe there..
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iraqi forces captured the so-called financial minister of the ISIL in the city of Ramadi in Anbar province.
The senior ISIL leader was hidden among 414 Iraqi refugees in Anbar province, but was identified and apprehended by security forces.
The security forces did not reveal the identity of the captured terrorist leader.
Iraq’s joint operations command announced on Monday that the Iraqi forces have managed to liberate the entire city of Ramadi from the control of ISIL terrorists.
The Iraqi armed forces started massive attacks on the ISIL last week to take back Ramadi.
Hezbollah recruiting push comes amid deeper role in Syria
Hezbollah has been conducting a large recruitment drive, a sign of how the war in Syria has become perhaps the most intense conflict the group has waged. Its losses in Syria — now more than 1,000 killed — are approaching the toll incurred by the group in 18 years of fighting the Israeli occupation of south Lebanon in the 1980s and 1990s. That conflict earned Hezbollah its reputation as Lebanon’s strongest armed force.
“Hezbollah is both battle-weary and battle-hardened,” said Bilal Saab, a resident senior fellow for Middle East Security at the Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security. “Hezbollah has lost many men in Syria, but it has also acquired new skills. It is overstretched, but it can operate in multiple terrains.”
About 3,000 Hezbollah fighters are in Syria, roughly 15 percent of the group’s main fighting force, said Jaber, who heads the Middle East Center for Studies and Political Research in Beirut and closely follows Hezbollah. It also has about 30,000 fighters it could mobilize if needed.
At three camps in southern Lebanon, thousands of volunteers aged 17 and up have undergone training in recent years, particularly since 2013, when the bombings took place and Syrian militants held ground near the Syrian border, the residents said.
The training lasts 60-90 days. Fighters in the past were prepared for more conventional warfare against Israel, but today they are trained for street battles and counterinsurgent tactics to deal with rebels, the residents said. Also joining the training are a small number of Shiites from other Mideast and Asian countries who came to Lebanon to study at Shiite religious institutions, the residents said.
Once in Syria, the fighters wear pro-government National Defense Forces camouflage uniforms and are asked to speak with a Syrian dialect so they don’t attract attention. Some elite fighters get more than $2,000 a month for being in Syria, a very good salary by Lebanon’s standards.
Hezbollah offers benefits that also motivate volunteers. The children of fighters get free education until they graduate from university. If a fighter is killed, his family continues to receive a stipend; if he is wounded, he is treated for free in the group’s hospitals.
Hezbollah first began sending fighters to Syria in 2012 to help protect Shiite shrines near the capital of Damascus. In May 2013, the group went in full force and captured the strategic central town of Qusair near the border with Lebanon, a three-week battle that cost the group nearly 100 fighters, according to pro-Hezbollah media. In the following months, it cleared rebels from most of the towns near the border, sharply reducing the number of bombings in Lebanon.

Saker, I just read a little snippet from the former head of an Israeli security service, Yakov Kedmi, that perfectly supports your extensive analysis a few days ago regarding the long relationship between Russia and Israel ( Putin and Israel – a complex and multi-layered relationship )
Kedmi was being interviewed about Poroshenko’s visit to Israel and speech before the Knesset. Everyone in Israel understands it’s mere theater, and that Poroshenko is diplomatically uncouth. But one statement was very revealing I thought:
“In Israel know perfectly well that the systems s-400 in Syria to protect Russian troops. Not Syria, not Hezbollah, and Russia. Israeli aircraft do not pose a threat to Russia, just like Russian, Israel. Therefore Israel sees no threat in the Russian systems s-400” […]
Russia did not react to the killing of a militant of “Hezbollah” by the Israeli forces a few days ago, reminded Kedmi. “And in Israel it is appreciated. It’s quite the right reaction. We did not threaten Russian troops, moreover – I think that this attack was carried out after Israel had informed Russia. In short, Russia’s actions in Syria and the Middle East in general does not pose a threat to Israel. Whatever may be said by Poroshenko, in Israel everyone understands,” said Kedmi.
This is perfectly the picture you drew for us in your essay, this sense of different strands of activity slipping past each other almost politely, as each entity acts meticulously according to its precise interests. Now we see Sayed Nasrallah vowing an undoubted revenge upon Israel, with not even a breath of criticism of Russia. It is an elegant scenario indeed.
I was grateful to you for that picture at the time, I hadn’t seen things with that degree of granularity before. And I’m glad to see this supported everywhere I look now. This particular story just appeared in Fort Russ, largely about Poroshenko and his futile attempt to drive a wedge between Russia and Israel: Poroshenko Tried To Embroil Russia and Israel
Fantastic intel & overview from teevee over at SyrPer :
1
In June 2014 Iranian and Russian military started to discuss ways they could work together in sharing intelligence on movements and strategies of the terrorists and their backers from US all the way to House of Saud. The Russians were to relay satellite info and Iran ground info; from that beginning the relationship has moved to full cooperation in the battlefields of Syria.
2
The Saudi regime being the gutless wonders that they are went with hats in hands to the Israelis, bent over and begged to have their help in fighting the intelligence war against Syria and her allies. This capitulation of the Saudi regime to Israel went even further than we know. Israel has supplied the Saudi regime with Drones, IronDome missile system, tons and tons of ammunition and tactical as well as technical plus medical support to the Saudi backed terrorists in Syria.
3
In June 2015 in a hi level meeting of Iranian and Russian military and intelligence officials, the facts and figures put together by the Russians and Iranians pointed to the depth and breadth of the plans laid out for Syria, Iraq, Iran and Russia. The Russians understood the time to take action was now, tomorrow would be too late. Wheels were put in to motion and you know the rest.
4
At the beginning of the operations Iran deployed a contingent of RG officers to Syria actually to observe the everyday battlefields to better understand the situation at hand on all fronts from Latakia to Dier e Zor. The Israeli Mosad had unfortunately penetrated some of the weaker officer corps of the SAA, the location and circumstances of the Iranians was compromised and several high ranking IRGC officers were assassinated by the terrorists hit squads but mostly by Israeli rocket attacks. The traitors were identified and 16 SAA traitors were executed. Iran blamed the Saudis for their siding with Israel against the Muslim world and this particular treachery. Iran promised revenge and delivered.
5
In return Iran has managed to ship several different types of missiles in parts and pieces to the Houthies in Yemen that have wreaked havoc on the mercenaries as well as the Saudis. 24 IRGC specialists are operating in Yemen helping in assembling, planning and aiming of these missiles and Russia is providing strong satellite intel and jamming for the Resistance against the Israeli stooges in Riyadh. (Just a couple of days ago the man in charge of the Iron Dome project in Israel was fired due to failure of the Israeli system defending the kingdom of death against rudimentary missiles coming from Yemen). The Russians have been able to jam the so called IronDome defense system. This is a major embarrassment to the Israelis. Kuntar’s case in Syria is curious, people don’t believe it was an Israeli operation but not quite sure who killed him, he didn’t have any role in any decision making anyhow. Hassan Nasrallah just said in his speech that revenge will be coming at whatever cost, with no reply from Israel what so ever. This is a clear sign that any future engagement against the much more advanced HZ missiles with the huge hole in their vaunted IronDome and they’re in serious trouble. But neither Iran nor Russia want any expansion of this war because that only helps the terrorists and their backers in the Wahhabi kingdom and the Turks by confusing the issues at hand.
6
But the most important event that has really turned this war around is the breakthrough in breaching and penetrating the terrorists by our intelligence forces. Word has it that several hundred FSA, JN and ISIS operatives have turned around and are providing invaluable info to SAA and allies. This breakthrough is another sea change development, any and all Saudi, Israeli, Turkish and other operatives are in mortal danger, and just about every Israeli agent has left Syria. Over 29 Turkish officers have been killed, the 50 or so American SFs deployed to Iraq and Syria are in truth human shields to protect NATO pawns from Russian or Iranians. The Saudi man in charge of the terrorist’s activity in Syria has been jailed in the kingdom of darkness. The idiot kingdom hastily announced the so called Sunni coalition to fight everyone everywhere (yeh right? They can’t fight themselves out of a wet paper bag). After the operation that netted Aloush the Saudis have reached out to Iran for talks. Iran officially acknowledged that there have been some secret meetings with some Saudi officials. The dark kingdom just appointed a new Ambassador to Iran, and most importantly Pakistan having realized the jig is up, announced they are firmly against any government change in Syria and will support those that support the legitimate government and territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq, a total rebuke of the Wahhabis and their Turk lackeys.
7
In Iraq the prize is and has always been Mosul, if the Iraqi Army along with popular Committees win Mosul then Iraq will remain intact but if the American proxies including the Kurds win Mosul then Iraq will breakup. Will Russians throw their weight behind the Iraqis remains to be seen, not much incentive there with oil prices at these levels?
8
This breakthrough from the intelligence services of the resistance will have reverberations throughout middle east and North Africa, the back of the Wahhabi army of people eaters have been broken from now on its going to be a Turkey Shoot, they are in serious trouble and they know it. Happy new year to all that support the truth and justice. And sorry for the long post.
Appreciate the quick listing of villages and towns–it is very helpful.

“According to Italian media, this family [Uzan] accused Bilal Erdogan of violating European and, in particular, Italian financial laws, since he has allegedly brought with him a considerable amount of cash in an attempt to launder it in Italy,” the journalist narrates, adding that Italian authorities have been at pains to downplay the scandal.

Erdogan’s Oil Plot: Evidence Continues to Mount Against Turkish President
Predictably, the Turkish representatives in Italy are making every effort to settle the conflict and prevent the information leak to the media.
The question remains open, whether the Italian prosecutor will open a case against Bilal Erdogan. Given Bilal Erdogan’s illicit oil trade, it is possible that the Turkish President’s son is also involved in money laundering in the EU.
“Will Recep Erdogan, under the auspices of Washington (since his son was enrolled to study at the American Institute) again is able to avoid any legal prosecution, including an investigation into the links of his family with international terrorism?” Berger asks.

Right to Self-Determination? Turkish Kurds Demanding ‘Autonomy’ Amid Increased Violence
A few days ago, Ankara started anti-terrorist operations in southeastern Turkey, predominantly populated by the Kurds. The operation involved 10,000 military and police forces.
Tanks and armored vehicles deployed by the central government created unbearable conditions for the local population. As result of the offensive, over 200 Kurdish militants were killed, while more than 200,000 Kurds are fleeing Turkey amid increased violence.

The details of future operations to evacuate civilians from besieged settlements in Syria are kept secret for security reasons, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) spokesman Jens Laerke told Sputnik on Tuesday.

Russia Against Exclusion of Kurds From Syria Talks – Deputy FM
Rojava, a Kurdish region in northern Syria, consists of three cantons Jazira, Kobani and Afrin. It is controlled by the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD). The largest canton of Syrian Kurdistan is considered to be Jazira with the capital city of Qamishli.
A Sputnik Turkiye correspondent spoke with the Deputy Co-Chairman of the Canton of Jazira, Azam Hussain.

According to the Turkish President, coalition forces have set the liberation of Syrian Jarabulus as a priority task.

Saudi Arabia’s Aramco Oil Company Comes under Yemen’s Ballistic Missile Attack Again
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13941008000332
http://www.ezilon.com/maps/images/asia/political-map-of-Yemen.gif

Since the Groom of the Stool job position went extinct some time ago, they all had to find new employment plying their skills.

ISIL’s Financial Minister Captured in Ramadi
http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13941008000398

” In Israel know perfectly well that the systems s-400 in Syria to protect Russian troops. Not Syria, not Hezbollah, and Russia.”
Let’s apply some basic math here:
– S-400 protect Russian troops.
– Russian troop protect (directly or indirectly) Syria, Hezbollah, Russia.
Now if A protects B, and B protects C, what is the relation between A and C? Does anyone know the answer? Maybe Yakov Kedmi?
General Qasem Soleimani having a small party with Hezbollah pros in Aleppo. Nice.

ZION’S IRONDOME JAMMED ?

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Wednesday that Turkey had not respected a commitment to withdraw its troops from northern Iraq, where they are training a Sunni Muslim militia to fight Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), while teh country’s foreign minister warned that Iraq will consider military action if the soldiers remain.
