This is good news but also sobering. We knew that a war cannot be won with air power only. Manpower is needed on the ground. But are not the Syrians being ground down? The opposition is said to have 50,000 strong, more or less, with more coming.
Something has to give. Or rather some other source of manpower needs to enter. I grow cold thinking of all these men being used as cannon fodder. That’s a calculating way to look at it. But is it not true, at least in a small way? Can war solve anything in the long range?
There are hopes for negotiation. But how can you negotiate with those who will never stop until they win or die? Why would the enemy negotiate when they have no incentive? Will the US pay them to lay down their arms when the US is broke already?
Suppose the coalition on our side supplies the massive manpower needed to finish the war in our favor. Even if successful here, many will die. Will it turn the tide or will it fan the fire towards an ultimate conflagration?
I wonder and I worry. What can I do about it anyway?
I am reminded of what someone said about the American New Deal that resulted in the pension that I enjoy today. The New Deal had nothing to do with compassion and humanity. It was due to competition. In the war for the hearts and minds of men, America had to match Russia’s social programs that benefitted the poor; analogous to America’s panic when the Russians sent up Sputnik 1 into space on Oct. 4, 1957, sputnik 2 with the dog and many other space successes.
The space race was on and apparently won by the US in July 1969 with the Apollo 11 moon landing. But many are doubtful if this was yet another false flag flown by liars, sort of a pre-9/11 psychological and media-trick along with technical capabilities of the period.
I hope to love that the collapse of the USSR did not also deter Russia’s lead in technology. And that the Russians are holding back their trump while the liar’s club keeps on bluffing. If it can scare Russia into submitting then we are doomed to a prison planet.
I try to live my life in such a way that I contribute to peace even in war by the holographic and quantum methods spoken of by Irene Caesar, a Russian philosopher; and others.
Let’s face it. The competition is now for survival of life that is worth living. The stakes are high.

“ABU-DHABI, November 9. /TASS/.The bombing of the Air Force of the US-led international coalition in Syria is a criminal aggression against the Syrian people, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in official letters sent on Monday to the UN Secretary-General and the Chairman of the UN Security Council.
The bombings of the so-called international coalition led by the United States of the Syrian territory and the country’s infrastructure in many areas are criminal aggression, the ministry’s document says. This aggression, the letters say, is aimed at destruction of the country’s economic and industrial infrastructure, it’s intentional destruction of the basis of subsistence of all the Syrian people.”

First, my condolance and respect to the families of flight 321, who lost their loved ones. ( I am Dutch, we are not all degenerate…)
Second, all the luck and succes for the brave fighters against the salafists! And wisdom for the providers of material and manpower to the SAA and the RF pilots (MORE!).
Third, A question: I lived in the US during 9-11 and in the Netherlands during MH-17.
9-11 was of course much bigger, and it resulted in a massive wave of patriotism/ nationalism, almost every car decorated with a flag– resulting in the massacre/ debacle of Afghanistan and Iraq: that powerful!
MH-17 resulted in EU support for sanctions and halving EU citizen support for Russia and its president (and in the Netherlands half of that).
All very predictible according to ´the shock doctrine´ (Naomi Klein).
My question: such a powerful and tragic moment could induce similar shifts in Russia (unless the shifting has been done already after the massacres during the ´ATO´.
What has this attack done to the opinion and determination of ´the Russian in the street´??? Will it have any consequences? I would think so!

Exclusive Photos of Syrian Army Advance in Aleppo Southern Countryside
The Syrian army regained control over the Sheikh Ahmad village which is near to the besieged Kweires airport in Aleppo eastern countryside, according to Al-Manar reporter.
Al-Manar reporter Ali Shoeib, toured Aleppo’s southern countryside and came up with these photos.
Not being military experts (if there is such a thing in reality).I don’t think as of now we can know how the war is going. But from history and commonsense it seems to me that to “win” a war without adequate manpower resources is impossible. You might could effect a stalemate and not “lose” a war.But winning, and not losing, really aren’t the same thing. Not winning means a constant “drip, drip” of death and destruction. And immense amounts of money being spent to just “hold your own”.Even for countries with their own “printing press” that’s difficult. But for those without, its much harder. It appears to me the “two” most important tools to accomplish the “one” and only good outcome in this war, victory. Are to increase the manpower of our side. And to gain control,or at least interdiction of the borders and halt the enemies resupply (with the first vital to do the second).Just as in Ukraine, the LDPR holding control of their border with Russia is considered vital for us.The terrorists having control of borders in Syria are vital for them.
So having set out the problems,”how do we fix them”.Where are the sources of available manpower to come from? Syria herself, will provide some as she has been doing. But after four years of savage war.The displacements of millions. The enemy control over vast areas of the country. And now the refugee outflow draining men away. The Syrian supply is very limited. And because of the smaller population. And vital security issues in Lebanon, the supply of manpower from Hezbollah is also limited.Barring some foreign volunteers (doubtful for large numbers at present.Though with the “right” propaganda effort it might be promising),the only realistic sources are Iraq,Iran, and Russia. Its wishful thinking to count on China. For some reason they fail to see how allowing Chinese terrorists to arm, train, and prepare numbers. Is an existential threat to them. They’ll have to wait until those men are inside Sinkiang killing them to wake up.By then it could be “too late”,but what to do,its their decision. So that leaves the other three.
Iraq is fighting a huge war (holding their own, maybe slightly “winning”) so large manpower support from them is highly unlikely.I’m surprised they have sent as many as they have.Which might be one reason they are only “slightly” winning in Iraq itself. Then their is Russia.Russia has large numbers available. But they have said they won’t send ground troops. Now that could be “flipped”,no,never, ever, absolutely means no, in war and politics. But it would be a big embarrassment for the government to change that pledge overnight. And then also Russia is faced with a two front war right now (at least two fronts). And committing large troop numbers to Syria might be a problem if the empire decided to order the fascist junta to attack Donbass. So that is a constant problem as long as the junta is ruling Ukraine. One of the main reasons to have solved that problem a year ago.But it wasn’t done, and we see how not doing so complicates every other situation Russia is involved in.So that leaves the most obvious choice “Iran”.Why they haven’t done more already is a mystery. They would be seriously isolated in the MENA if Syria falls to the empire.Lebanon will go within months of that (or sooner). And then Iran’s enemies can concentrate fully on Iraq, and Yemen.Which would then go pretty quickly.Leaving Iran totally isolated among her neighbors. So the question is “why” has Iran not done more.Since all the information we get about Iran comes either from her supporters on our side.Or her enemies on the empire’s side its difficult to cut through the “propaganda fog” and understand the Iranian peoples feelings on this issue. Are they not as supportive as we hope.Or is it a question of money and supplies.Or is their a fear of her enemies attacking her, either physically or with more sanctions.I frankly, don’t know the answer. What I do know is if its the first problem, then there is nothing to be done.If its the second, that is where Russia and China comes in.It would be in Russia, and China’s best interests to supply Iran with the money and arms to be able to send the troops. If its the last issue. Then again its in Russia and China’s best interests to let the empire and their stooges understand they won’t allow that to happen.
But whatever the problems are that stand in the way.For Syria (and Russia) to “win” they must have the manpower to bring the victory.A defeat in Syria wouldn’t necessarily be an existential threat to Russia.A huge problem yes,but an existential threat to the Russian state, probably not (I’m not sure about to Putin’s rule though). That existential threat is saved for a defeat in Ukraine. That is the existential threat to the Russian state (and beyond question to Putin’s rule). But for Syria,Lebanon,Iraq, and Iran.It could very well be an existential threat.
I seem to remember that Kadyrov offered to send through quite a few of his own…………….he might have an incentive since he managed to persuade the participants of an ISIS squad to drop their cause……..

“Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has personally questioned 20 people detained over a conspiracy to kill him and ordered their release after they pledged to end their support for terrorism.
According to the Chechen regional television company Grozny TV, a group of young people who had considered themselves followers of the Islamic State terrorist organization (previously ISIS/ISIL) were detained earlier this week and charged with a conspiracy to kill the head of the Chechen Republic with a bomb blast in a mosque.
Kadyrov had a lengthy conversation with all of the detained and ordered their release without any punishment, saying that terrorist intentions had been planted into the young men’s minds through brainwashing and that they had not yet committed any crimes and could be given a chance for correction.

“Even though the detained considered themselves supporters of the Islamic State, they did not have even remote understanding about the person of the extremist leader Abu-Bakr al-Baghdadi. They had their brains polluted by some undereducated so-called imam and they were taught to hate the head of the Chechen Republic as the main enemy of the Wahhabi ideology,” Kadyrov wrote on his Instagram account, which he uses as his main tool for communication with the public.
Kadyrov also wrote that all of the young men sincerely claimed to understand their mistakes, regretted them and promised to mend their extremist ways. Parents and other relatives of the detained were also invited to the meeting and after talks they promised to keep them under strict control.”
