Critical situation in Al Bab (NE of Aleppo) developing…
Writes Canthama over at SyrPer:
“…There are information of a massive build up of forces in Aleppo, for weeks now, Iraqi militia arrive at the airport daily, among Peto’s analysis, he hint a possibility of a quick and powerful [offensive] from Sheikh Najjar toward Al Bab, creating a cauldron of large proportion for ISIS inside.
The above possible strategy is interesting for Syria since the Al Bab plains are the focal point of 4 divergent forces in this conflict.
1) Syrian terrorists and islamists – used to own all the north for few years, lost mostly to ISIS, this groups is now under tremendous pressure in Azaz from almost 3 sides, their weak position has only one advantage, the border crossing with Turkey that supplies them with unlimited weapons and fresh rats.
2) The Turkish Government is eying this piece of Syria land for their NFZ and allocate their Turkmen terrorists and central Asian islamists and finally create a stronghold inside Syria, near Aleppo, that would lately be annexed to Turkey in a probable attempt to take Aleppo, this has been Turkish “dream” since 1920s. This plan is losing grip by the day due to Russian air presence and the advances of the following two forces.
3) The SDF force, primarily made up YPG/YPJ but with a small component of Raqqa Arab tribes/Assyrians, are pushing hard from Raqqa Province toward Manbij and lately to connect to Afrin, creating a powerful “State” within a State and paving the way to a stornger position in the negotiating table with the Syrian Government.
4) The allied forces lead by the SAA, after liberating the siege of Kuweires, the allied forces, against all predictions of going east or west, decided to concentrate forces and go north toward the critical town of Al Bab, by doing that the allied forces may have made a decision to counter all the above scenarios.
Once Al Bab is controlled, most of the area form there to the Turkish border would be under long range artillery control, meaning ISIS would lose any punch toward Aleppo, SDF would lose completely the “appetite” to connect with Afrin and Turkish would have lost all possibility for the NFZ in this critical area.
All of it would be true if an offensive start from Sheikh Najjar toward Al Bab, and one major offensive is about to start in Aleppo, and there is only two ways to go, NW toward Nbul and al Zahra or east…toward Al Bab.”
The military situation in Syria is one thing, but I can’t belive that nobody seems to observe the lack of information about the economical front in Russia, due to the continuous dumping of oil prices. On the RT channel is no more economic news in the every hour bulletin as it was one year ago (or more, before the sanctions) It appears to me that on the economic battleground, the US is much stronger and it seems to win that war.China is spiraling constantly down also. The markets are opening in Japan and before closing in New York those “masters of money” have enough time to react an close the bells with a margin of win.If the oil prices will go further down at 20 bucks, the russian economy and not just that will be affected. Will have also political consequences. So I wonder why does nobody observe these developments, why is there some kinda a censorship ?
The thing is, even though there’s the “time-lag” for Wall Street, it too is along for the ride to the bottom.
Reporting elsewhere does mention that US stocks are going down, as well as most anywhere else. Europe being no exception, Frankfurt is tumbling down as well. And the German prime time news are also laying low when it comes to this issue right at home.
I said it appears to me not that I am convinced, yes you’re right the US is the largest debt-holding country but the rest of the world community let that to happen.
Probably the Us plays the game “how long can you last” ? how long america can last just printing money ? is just a coincidence that the US has freed the exports of oil from january this year ?
Well thats full spectrum war!Peeps who dont realise that there’s a war going on need to wake up.The vile forces of darkness are at loggerheads with the rest of the world! The primary physical fronts are in Syriaq ,s.Yemen,Ukraine where the proxy war is coming to head. The secondary fronts are in EU,china, korea,s.America where the ngo, banksters, are using so called ‘terrorists’ i.e their babies against the sleeping masses. The third and most insidious the mother of all frontiers the battle for the ‘collective’ mind.On one side the major mass media who are brainstorming the sleeping masses that violence is necessary and the other side?god help us:-)
There’s lots of Russian media info on Russia’s economic situation in Russian but also in numerous other languages–English, German, French. RIA Novosti–Sputnik–provides the following:
“Sputnik news feeds in English, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese are available around the clock. Regional editorial offices in Washington, Cairo, Beijing and Montevideo work 24/7 to provide a non-stop newscast.”
In all of these reports which name towns and villages in Syria, no matter whether occupied by ISIS or retaken by SAA or where fighting is currently taking place, there is never any mention about the presence or absence of civilian populations there. Fighting over abandoned villages is one thing, but fighting over villages still occupied by their residents is another altogether. Maybe specific village status is difficult to know or is constantly changing due to residents fleeing when fighting erupts. We are rarely given any info about the civilian populations who are caught in the middle of all this fighting. It feels like a very incomplete picture of what is going on there.
Since new years eve we have been constantly bombarded by the western MSM with images of vast hordes of “brown” people converging on the pristine European homelands to ravage pure European women. But what about the other side of the coin we don’t hear about ? In Sputnik International today :
“Gimme All You’ve Got!’: Finnish Women Buy Sex From Migrant Teens”
“Finnish women have offered lone refugee boys €20 for sex, a Helsinki-based tabloid wrote on Friday.
Elderly Finnish women are believed to have offered lone migrant teens money for having sex with them, Inta-Sanomat wrote.
Taina Cederström, an instructor at a local center for asylum seekers, told the newspaper that women had been attempting to buy sex from underage refugees at the Helsinki railway station during Christmas, by offering the boys €20 for their services.
She said she was certain about at least two such cases, but added that there could have been more.
The employees of the Diakonissalaitos Foundation, which runs the center, found out about the case after they started wondering where the refugee boys got the money for cigarettes and other things. Questions asked by the refugee boys also raised their suspicions.
“One boy once asked, if it’s the case in Finland, that women are allowed to kiss whenever they want.”
Taina Cederström said that she could not recall anything like that happening in Finland before; 30- and 40 year-old Finnish women, apparently intelligent and wealthy, now come to the station to buy sex from teenage boys.
”We are trying to explain to the asylum seekers how they should treat women and this is what we see happening now,” she said.
Cederström also fears that the young migrants will now spend more time hanging out at the sation where they could get into trouble. She said that they could be offered to sell drugs for money.
On Thursday Finnish newspapers wrote about another sex scandal, this time between a female Red Cross worker and an asylum seeker.
The head of the Finnish Red Cross, Pekka Annala, said that sexual relations between FRC workers and asylum seekers were an absolute taboo, adding that the immigration authorities would stay out of it as the case was strictly an “internal affair” for the organization.
The sad irony of this is that on January 11, the Finnish Immigration Service launched a mobile learning course about sexual equality and sexual health and rights suitable for all asylum seekers. The easy-to-use service is currently available in English; other languages will be added in the future.
The course topics are Finnish legislation and relationships, sexuality and the act of sex, sex education, sexual violence and harassment and taking care of sexual health.
The purpose of the course is to give asylum seekers information about equality and sexuality, general rights and obligations as well as legislation and manners in Finland”.
But you wouldn’t hear about that on the MSM though, heaven forbid, and I am pretty sure Finland isn’t the only place in Europe where this is happening.
Oh please, Ilta sanomat is the Finnish equivalent of the Mirror or Daily Mail in the UK. Total trash and the Sanomat group, anti Russia – pro ZATO, are loosing readership subscriptions. Given they are a monopoly in Finland, it says a lot for how they are regarded.
Also, sex bought at Helsinki Raikway Station in the middle of a cold winter, where??? LOL totally bogus, maybe more likely in Westminster.
We are enthousiastic supporters to see the black and green on the map get smaller, but we should never forget the bravery of the Russian pilots and Syrian fighters. Every step has to be actually fought for in dirt, sweat and blood, and no glamour.
Need to nip the terrorist counter-move toward Salma in the bud and drive them back into Turkey. It seems probable that the SAA will have the Damascus suburbs cleared of terrorists by month’s end. But securing the border with Turkey must remain the #1 priority.

Italy is blocking a multi-billion euro fund for Syrian refugees in Turkey, insisting the money be paid entirely from European Union coffers rather than by member countries.
Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem said Friday after talks in Brussels that Italy had not lifted objections to the way the 3 billion euro ($3.3 billion) fund should be paid “but we hope that that is possible very, very soon.”
The money is meant to encourage Turkey to stop migrants leaving its territory for Greece, as thousands continue to do daily.
final paragraph first key news:
In August, Russia and Syria signed an agreement giving Moscow the right to retain an open-ended military presence in the war-torn country, Moscow revealed on Thursday.
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russia said on Friday that it had launched “humanitarian operations” in Syria where it is carrying out a bombing campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group.
“The inhabitants are gradually coming back to Syrian cities and peaceful life is returning,” general Sergei Rudskoi, a senior Russian general staff official, told reporters.
“In this context, the implementation of humanitarian operations will be a new line of work for the Russian armed forces in Syria,” he said in televised comments.
and this:
Russia has decided to launch its own humanitarian operations in Syria because most of the aid has so far gone to rebel-controlled areas, often ending up in the hands of “extremists,” Rudskoi said, AFP reported.
Seems at the moment the UNSC at this moment is really laying into Syria ,live on tv, really emphasising Rus must only target what UNSC approves(french ambasadeur especially bing really over the top), stop using hunger as a weapon of war as much much more territory where civilians are being starved is under Syrian government control, no more barrel bombs, etc etc…seems more like a kangaroo court at the momnent……no or little reference to those moderate opposition-isis stoping food getting through or stealing it…, it is all Syria’s fault especially as Syrian Ambassadeur is not present to be hung drawn and quartered in their sight and no interest in considering another perspective, so it seems to me.Worth a proper analysis of the meeting?
This is exactly what is expecyed of the west -rescuing thier onsored terrorists whenever they fall into trouble.
It is Russian stupidity to fall into western trap every time in Un O by not vetping the wesyern plots,
What has UNO said about illegal Saudi attack in Yemen for last 10 months? Nothing. Why so? UN must be dismantled _stupidrussia puts akl thefaith in wesyern sponsored fradulent institutions and then expect fair play and justice!
what would the economic prospects of the big corporations who went into UKRAine in their beloved “Yats” trail?
I t won´t be accepted into the EU.
Either will be used as cheap labor platform for EU companies or will be divided in several feuds, among neighbors… in both cases kiev will export people as migrants or refugees.
Because the world is in a downhill economy as a whole: why with a carefully prepared country as it was under a US policy plan – Ukraine – would it be different?
