“What is now happening in Aleppo and around it – we warned the Americans about this in advance,” the minister said. “The U.S. knows that we will be providing air support to the Syrian army to prevent territories from being seized by terrorists.”
“We expect our partners to cooperate with us honestly and not try to use our regular contacts to implement other plans – “Plan B,” “C” or “D” – secretly behind our back,” he added.
According to the minister, Russia will be making decisions regarding operations by its air group in Syria proceeding from its vision of the situation and there should be no surprises for the United States in that respect.
“We will be making decisions as to what our air group should be doing on the basis of our vision of the situation,” Lavrov said. “We share our vision with the Americans in daily videoconferences between the Hmeymim base and the US command in Amman. There will be no surprises for the Americans.”

Lavrov noted that Russia is ready to coordinate aviation actions in Syria, but this tool must not allow terrorists to regroup, adding the US is failing to comply with obligations on separating Syrian opposition from terrorists.
“We believe time was more than enough since February of this year for the normal opposition to separate from terrorists,” Lavrov said. “All those who have not abandoned terrorists must now simply blame themselves. I said it very clearly to US Secretary of State John Kerry and stressed a need to take measures to prevent infiltration of gunmen and weapons from Turkey,” the top diplomat added.
The diplomat has also stressed that Moscow would not let the US implement its plan B, C or D on Syria.
Lavrov said that large numbers of military equipment and militants had been delivered to Syria from Turkey over past 10 days.

MOSCOW, June 6. /TASS/. The Ukrainian authorities are not ready to make progress on any of Minsk 2 provisions that need to be coordinated with the Donbass region, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday following talks with his Finnish counterpart Timo Soini.
According to the minister, the Minsk agreements “clearly state that all aspects of the Ukrainian settlement, beginning with the military ones, specifically, the ceasefire and Donbass restoration should be dealt with through direct dialogue between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk.”
“Unfortunately, the Ukrainian authorities are not ready to make progress on any of these directions in accordance with their commitments, on any provisions of the Minsk agreements, which put it bluntly that all actions need to be coordinated with Donbass,” Lavrov said.
The Ukrainian authorities are not interested in having an objective mechanism to expose ceasefire violations, the minister went on.
“The Ukrainian leadership is now raising the issue of having these Russian and Ukrainian officers from the Joint Center on Control and Coordination leave for different settlements,” he said. “I draw just one conclusion: it is inexpedient for Kiev to have an objective, transparent mechanism for revealing ceasefire violations,” he said.

The Kremlin stressed that the attacks in the Kazakh city on Sunday are a domestic affair. He also knows nothing if Kazakh partners need to cooperate with Russia on this issue.
“No doubt, this is an absolutely internal affair of Kazakhstan,” Peskov said. “In fact, the Kazakh security forces have countered these gunmen rather efficiently,” he said, adding that the Kazakh investigators will definitely solve the crime.

“If this information about a new edition of the White Paper is true, this can cause regret and concern simultaneously,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
“This can cause regret because if this is true, then the talk is about the obvious misunderstanding of the Russian side’s position, which is well-known, consistent and is aimed at creating the atmosphere of interaction and mutually advantageous cooperation on the European continent rather than at confrontation,” the presidential spokesman said.
“This can also cause concern because such a position is based on the wrong understanding and, perhaps, on some incorrect information. The refusal to list extremist groups Ahrar al-Sham and Jaysh al-Islam as terrorist organizations speaks about double standards of some of member countries of the United Nations Security Council
ABU DHABI, June 5. /TASS/. Refusal of some of member countries of the United Nations Security Council to list extremist groups Ahrar al-Sham and Jaysh al-Islam as terrorist organizations speaks about double standards used by some states in the anti-terrorism policy, the Syrian foreign ministry said on Sunday in its letters to the United Nations Secretary General and the United Nations Security Council over ongoing terrorist attacks in Aleppo.

The ministry condemned the rejection of representatives of the United States, France, Britain and Ukraine in the United Nations Security Council to put Jaysh al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sham on the Council’s list of terrorist groups.
This refusal, according to the letters, proves that these countries continue to use double standards regarding the fight against terrorism and are not serious about this fight.
The ministry stressed that Ahrar al-Sham and Jaysh al-Islam aggression in Aleppo is an attempt to break down the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva and undermine the basic principles of the regime of cessation of hostilities in Syria.
Damascus demanded the United Nations Security Council condemn terrorist activities of the groups that are involved in shelling of Aleppo’s residential quarters and take urgent measures against countries supporting such groups, first of all Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Gatar.
