Given Dara’a’s close proximity to the Jordanian border, it’s easy to understand why SAA’s having difficulty as reinforcement and supply is easy for terrorists. Remember, those terrorists were trained by CIA in Jordanian camps.
Yes,which makes it amusing that some think the Jordanians are going to side with our side. They are as much under the thumb of the empire and Israel as a country can be.I wouldn’t trust them anymore than I would the Turks or Saudis.
Thought I am uncertain what they mean with “cut off” they already are on the road, and following it in their expansion. And while the road leads to Aleppo, it leads into the government section of Aleppo not the terrorist sections.
The original intention was to capture all of the M5 and link up with Hama and Damascus. At the moment the SAA has to use a goat track to supply Aleppo and even that was recently cut by ISIS for nearly 2 weeks, effectively sieging Aleppo for that time.
Really? That was their original intention? That was very ambitious that would basically mean winning the war, do you have a source for that, I don’t really know their intentions for most offensive, execpt the one to recapture the militarybase in ISIS land.

Portugal has entered dangerous political waters. For the first time since the creation of Europe’s monetary union, a member state has taken the explicit step of forbidding eurosceptic parties from taking office on the grounds of national interest.
Anibal Cavaco Silva, Portugal’s constitutional president, has refused to appoint a Left-wing coalition government even though it secured an absolute majority in the Portuguese parliament and won a mandate to smash the austerity regime bequeathed by the EU-IMF Troika.
He deemed it too risky to let the Left Bloc or the Communists come close to power, insisting that conservatives should soldier on as a minority in order to satisfy Brussels and appease foreign financial markets.
Democracy must take second place to the higher imperative of euro rules and membership.

A historic meeting between the leaders of Taiwan and China Saturday was rich in symbolism, but short on substance. Criticism of the trip and Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou’s performance at the meeting with China’s president Xi Jinping is already building at home. I finally found out what the SAA objective is in southern aleppo where their offensive has been the most successfull.
“Despite this success, the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance still have a long way to go before they can complete this large-scale offensive in southern Aleppo; specifically, they need to cutoff the Aleppo-Damascus Highway (M-5) that provides the Islamist rebels a supply route from Idlib to Aleppo.”

JERUSALEM—
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is on his way to Washington for talks Monday at the White House with U.S. President Barack Obama, in their first meeting since world powers and Iran reached a nuclear agreement strongly opposed by Israel.
