surah kahf and the modern age
surah kahf text translation.
both book by imran hosein. its a start. surah(chapter) kahf(cave) is known as surah of end times. after reading his book, we know more than obvious/common commentary of the text.
The Sheikh always recommends his beloved teacher’s magnum opus ‘The Quranic Foundations and Structures of Muslim society’ in two volumes. A profound read indeed.
Hagia Sophia, and the end of time.
As a westerner, I’d never have interlinked these ideas to the NZ incident. . .as this “manifesto” is not being spread around here anyway, and doubtful whether I’d care read it—and the msmpress has the usual cliches to describe it all.
An attack on the East, on Russia, on Orthodox Christians, via an attack on Muslims, by a Western extremist. These eschatological views are more potent and far-reaching than any short-term political analysis. The West is godless, it’s enemy is God and those who serve Him. Westerners are trapped into a mental morass of ignorance as to the fundamental nature of the worldview that they possess—and the various take-aways from this shooting help to show how confused and upside-down even the most well-meaning westerners really are,
“Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of two Muslim lawmakers in the current Congress, called on US Muslims to “raise hell” and “make people uncomfortable” in the face of discrimination, The Washington Times reported Sunday.
“So, to me, I say raise hell. Make people uncomfortable”, Omar said during her speech at at a fundraiser hosted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) of Greater Los Angeles in California.
“Because here’s the truth, here’s the truth: Far too long, we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen, and frankly I’m tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it”, she said, to cheers from the audience.
“The reason I think many of us knew this was going to get worse is we finally have a leader, a world leader in the White House, who publicly says that Islam hates us, who fuels hate against Muslims”, she said.”
I posted this article because what Omar said here is true.
The article itself sucks ziowillie, along with the zionazi author/transcriber. The washington times is likud propaganda, IE: Islamophobic, as one can see from the material the Sputnik 5th column’er used for its article.
Sputnik needs to take out the zionazi garbage it has accrued among the staff in its English language versions. Islamophobia and zionazism are about as antithetical to Russia as it gets. And hostile.
I don´t agree. Omar really don´t think what she says. I wouldn´t say that here in Finland muslims “raise hell”, but definitely they try to make the life of native Finns uncomfortable. This has necessarily nothing to do with the Islam itself, but it´s clear that muslims in Finland make Islam as a most hated religion in Finland. They can blame only themselves, and in way are the worst enemies of themselves. If those arrogant trouble-makers even are real muslims? But do you think that an average Finn bother to think whose are real muslims and whose not?
I´m a Christian, but not a Zionist(I think that Judaism and Islam has much in common). At first, when these invaders started to flood here, I was polite and kind against them, and tried to learn about Islam. But now I`ve changed my mind, exactly because sometimes these invaders make also my life nearly unbearable. I think that there´s no future for Islam in Europe. NZ attack was not an eschatological sign. It was a sign of times, sign of total failure of liberalism and globalism. It´s misleading to look it from the religious point of view.
interestingly says Imran Hosein. I really like what he says. Once upon a time, the bible was written in Latin because it was not allowed ignorant people to read it and interpret it. it was considered that the educated people were somewhat wise enough to be able to recount the meaning of the scripture. Of course the learned clergy used it for the benefit of the church and its partners. this is also the case with the interpretation of the Qur’an. anyone can read it but few people will recognize the spirit of the scripture. if you do not consider yourself sufficiently wise and empathic, it makes no sense to read holy books. These are not novel crimes, though it might be understood that they have some elements of crime.
Very interesting and refreshing unlike any other scholar. There should be more scholars like Sheikh Imran Hosein, in both secular or religious sense, who is not afraid to tell the truth regardless of the consequences. Hope his words of wisdom and unbiased truth reach to the rest of the world and highly sought after by the truth seekers.
May the Lord bless him with more knowledge and insights!
A long interview. I was rushed and unfortunately had to interrupt my listening at several stages. Here are for me the most significant highlights:
34′ : The Sheik explains how the Ottoman empire defeated and colonised the Christian Orthodox and this soured relations between the Orthodox and Muslims. Discussion about how the early Christian church was initially a Pentarchy: Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, and Jerusalem. The New Testament was written in Greek, and therefore there was a continuity with Christianity and Ancient Greece. When Constantinople fell, the only Christian Church that was left was the Western Church in Rome but this church was marginal in the early Christianity. This is why the fall of Constantinople is so important in history.
45′ : According to the Koran, the conquest of Constantinople is still to come, and the cathedral Hagia Sofia will be returned to the Orthodox Christians, the city will be renamed to Constantinople. The city will be liberated from Turkish rule by a muslim liberators who are praised in the Koran.
By the way, the Sheikh is writing a book called ” Constantinople in the Koran”? did I understand that correctly?
1h: the interviewer explains how during the communist period China and Soviet union were NOT allies. The Sheik explains that it is only now, that Russia and China, both no longer communist countries, are allied. This alliance causes fear in the West, but it is the coming alliance, prophesied in the Koran between Orthodox Christians and true Muslims that is truly frightening to the West.
Great interview. Always enjoyable to listen to the Sheikh!
Out of curiosity, has he explained exactly what verses of the Qur’an mention all these things? I haven’t watched the interview and don’t intend to, as in one of his previous drivels he also claimed various nebulous things that are nowhere to be found in the Qur’an.
I mean – we’re talking about a book that’s nearly 15 centuries old and analyzed cover to cover by many smart people over that time, and nobody but him has managed to find these “prophetic” verses? I call bull.
I believe he does quote the Koran (e.g. “Rome was defeated in a land nearby”) but I couldn’t give you chapter or verse… From what I understand the Koran is written in such a way that can give rise to different interpretations. Perhaps someone who is Muslim can provide more info.
His knowledge of other frequently discussed topics such as financial economics and Ottoman and Byzantine history is spot on.
Even a cake recipe will be interpreted differently, let alone one of the most popular and controversial books ever written :)
However, as I understand it, Qur’an does not prophesise anything particular down to such details as he claims. It does mention many past events as a warning and a guidance, but these are clearly stated as past events. Claiming that they are prophecies of the future events is really stretching the truth.
@+Mikie. It is clearly evident that you are adopting a “one-eyed” narrow crass approach to engaging with the Qur’an rather than a holistic approach that also blends in spiritual, intuitive, internal insight.
I suggest you take note of and reflect on verse 92 of Chapter 10 (Surah Yunus (Jonah)) of the Qur’an where the Lord-God alludes to the fact that indeed many amongst Mankind are surely heedless of His signs!
Many of things Sh Imran Hosein has said are true, he is a true scholar. I learned a lot from him which I did not learn before. I have always checked sources in the Quran before I swallow anything I learn, he is spot on.
I have always questioned the ottoman empire, I doubted it as a muslim years ago I asked if this empire is a true islamic why is it invading lands that are already under control of muslims? So something was just not adding, so yes Imran Hosein was right in saying the ottoman empire was hijacked and conquered orthodox christian lands in a way that was NOT islamic, the first example is Hagia Sofia, that was not islamic and when your so called enemy wants peace you don’t attack, the ottoman did the opposite. Imran Hosein was right in saying ”what the ottoman did was to sabotage any alliance between the othodox christians and muslims.
He has written a book on constantinopole in the Quran, I have not read it yet and will do. He explains in that book something I could never understand, how he explains it makes sense. The divide of christianity in Constantinople and how Allah says in Quran ”those who follow Jesus” will be victorious over ”those who reject him” until the last day (the end of the world), he asks who are those who follow him and who are those who rejected him and those who made alliance with them, clearly Imran Hosein was right in saying ”jews” rejected Jesus as the messiah, and clearly the western christianity made alliance with jews. He is spot on in his analysis.
In Quran Allah praised the eastern christians (Rum) and clearly Allah says when they ”Rum” are victorious muslims celebrated back then and they will celebrate again. The way Imran Hosein approached these verses is amazing, never had any other scholar done same. I have followed Sh Imran Hosein for 12 years.
I watched the video of the NZ “massacre ” on Reddit. All l saw was a guy firing blanks and people falling down. Anyone who has gone plinking with. 223 or similar power cartridge knows the rounds would have sailed through the victims and spattered the walls. We don’t see this.
AsSalam alikyum brother Imram Husein alhumduliallah thank you for your exerlent advice that you have extended to the world I know that my imann has grown stronger since I have been watching your interviews I’m from New Zealand and thank you for the wonderful words you spoke of us In Sya Allah sadly as we are at the bottom of the world know body seems we are here Shame as we always put out the invite all the best Jazak Allah Alkheir
I would like to have the best english book on the Quran – is there a recommendation from the Sheik ?
I run the risk of being accused of publicising another man’s website here but I think the Saker won’t mind.
You can visit his website Ann. Plenty of books by the Sheikh that you can either buy or download for free including one on the Quran.
http://imranhosein.org/n/e-books/
In case you missed it, here’s the link to the Saker’s interview with the Sheikh. Great viewing and real eye-opener, well for me at least.
