Iran is the only non-nuclear military power that not even the USA themselves dare to engage directly in an all-out war. That should tell everything about their ostensible “weakness”.
Globalism, i.e. imperialism, is just the final stage of unrestrained capitalism, just as Lenin predicted. Accusing zone B of pursuing it “just with a different spin” sounds rather absurd to me.
Correct on all points!
I guess Jack wants to see Iranian women half naked, tattooed, with a ring in their noses and a utterly absence of any smile on their faces (pouting is considered “sexy” in Zone A). Also, instead of marrying, they should be trading “partners” faster than a baby changes diapers.
Wouldn’t that be lovely?

NOT!
Jack writes about “your own daughters and wives”?
Well, Jack, I got news for you: in Iran men are still allowed to be fathers and husbands, yup, the real, old fashioned way God created Adam and Eve.

So what does that do to daughters and wives???

to the Saker:
Sorry, but your answer to Jack is out of sync.
First of all, globalization is also in the agenda of Islam – as is in their religion (comprising everything!).
Secondly, you don’t know what Jack really thinks. He explained his opinion. But this doesn’t mean that, what you partly have written to him.
Thirdly, it is a difference between one state to be able and another state not to be able.
And to your knowledge: I lived long enough in an Islamic state in the Middle East to see the positive and negative in the Islamic religion as I see it in the Roman-Catholic as well as in the Coptic.
Your notion of “the agenda of Islam” is a very wide generalization, in my opinion.
That the Wahhabi crazies violently export their version of religion and ideology is of course true. So does Turkey – the Muslim Brotherhood is now an officially registered party here in Sweden, for example, thanks to Erdogan’s financing.
I am yet to see, however, any credible evidence of Iran doing anything similar!
Okay, now we are discussing my replies to Jack and not the article. Fine.
First of all, globalization is also in the agenda of Islam – as is in their religion (comprising everything!).
What Islam are you talking about? Oh, you mean that “generic Islam” which is as nonexistent as “generic Christianity”, lump all of Islam into one and they accuse it of something. What is an Islamic state of the Middle East? Iran, Egypt or the KSA? If you did live there, you would know how radically different they are. Furthermore, Islam is, like any other serious religion, universal in its appeal to join it, just as Christianity is, by the way. To call that a type of “globalization” is either ignorant or disingenuous.
Next, I do not need to know what Jack thinks, I just need to read what he wrote.
Next, ” it is a difference between one state to be able and another state not to be able.” I suppose that this refers to Jack’s statement “not being able to (due to weakness) and not doing it is not the same” saying that Iran is not able to export its values whereas the US can. Well then, if you know the Middle-East, you would know that Iran, in spite of being weaker compared to the USA, inspired millions in the region, hence the massive freakout by both the US and Israel. Not only that, but Iran is now pushing the USA out of the region completely, not bad for a “weaker” country. Yet Iran does not IMPOSE its model, it only OFFERS it to those interested. Again, you should know that if you lived in the Middle-East.
Lastly ” lived long enough in an Islamic state in the Middle East to see the positive and negative in the Islamic religion as I see it in the Roman-Catholic as well as in the Coptic.” It is not about seeing positive or negative in any religion, it is about understanding what that religion actually teaches and, in the case of religions like Islam and Christianity, what each sect/denomination teaches. Lumping them all into one big bag with “some positive and some negative” is the ultimate way to show that you have no idea what you are talking about. Again, it does not make you look wise or tolerant, only ignorant.
You also very selectively chose some parts in what Jack wrote and ignored others. For example, he accuses me of promoting the Muslim brotherhood (el-ikhwan al-muslimīn) which I never did for the simple reason that I have zero sympathy for that group. Had Jack know the difference between, say, Shia Islam and the Ikhwan (say in the war against Syria) he would not have written that nonsense. But he did. That did not catch your eye (not that I am surprised in the least).
So here, I took the time to explain to you how both inappropriate and ignorant your comment was.
I can’t do that with every inappropriate and ignorant comment that folks like Jack or you want to post here. I just don’t have the time or, frankly, inclination: replying to that kind of nonsense is painful and it also feels like a waste of time.
I will end with a simple question: what gave you the impression that I wanted to hear your opinion about how I replied to Jack?? The topic is the speech given by Gen Salami, yet the two of you have basically derailed this with nonsense.
So, please, dislike me and my blog as much as you want and, please, act on that dislike and simply go away. Or, better, open your own blog and call it “ihateislam.info” or something similar and dispense all your views to whomever you want (and you WILL find an audience, no worries).
I wrote “advocating Orthodox Christian and Muslim brotherhood”
meaning you are advocating a brotherhood between Orthodox Christians and Muslims (against the West)
I WAS NOT referring to the Muslim Brotherhood organization (a la Mohamed Morsi)
Nevermind that, lets stay on topic: how the Iranians described the incident was a cheap propaganda shot
which won’t do them (and anyone else) any good… because to be different from the “Great Satan” Iranians need to stop lying & not do more of the same… “we are doing it so it is OK” will lead to failure everytime
This is why more and more people wake up to the fact that Eastern elites are just the same as Western elites.
The elites are only infighting who will get more of the commoditized global pie.
I would recommend paying more attention to what contributors like “djole” and “Misha..with wolves…”
have to say. Truly eye-opening.
I WAS NOT referring to the Muslim Brotherhood organization
In that case your sentence makes even less sense! it would mean that I advocate some brotherhood between all of the Orthodox world and all of the Muslim world which, if you have had read what I write on this topic, is utterly nonsensical since neither of those two worlds actually exist out there (there are as many variants of Islam as there are variants of Orthodoxy) and would make me also embrace the Takfiri/Wahabi/Deobandi schools or even neo-Ottoman imperialism. Absolute total nonsense, a strawman in its perfect manifestation.
Next, how the Iranians presented the facts does not affect what actually happened. I can claim that the sun rose today thanks to my magical powers if I want, and that would be ridiculous, but that would not have prevented to sun from rising, right? Same here!
Finally, I asked you to stop wasting my time, but you ignored that. I asked you to go away – same result.
So what, you want to be banned? I guess that besides being not too bright, you don’t care much for requests, even by the host of the blog.
Okay sure, if that is the only thing you understand, we can arrange for that too.
Bye bye
Do we like or dislike Muslims, do we like or dislike Iranians (I sometimes use to call them, or to address some of them “Persians”, and they do not find themselves ofended), are they good or not (narrow minded dichotomy) is a theme for a broad debate.
What is indisputable, can be seen on the given video https://youtu.be/03xfHVOIgco (and thanks for the link), whatever we could suspect it as propaganda and PR of IRGC.
If it is a performance of IRGC actors, then the acting of USSs is perfectly well performed, to the very detail of some screenplay.
Iranians shown skill, experience (routine), bravery and determinance, conducting complicated manuvers with their speed boats, coherence between different units and boats, in the action of surrounding the USSs, making movable barriers between them and the US ships. In a manner of 007 actions.
I must admit that I was impresed.
Such level of skill could mean just one thing – they have been repeated that many times, either in real actions or in drill.
I would not consider other aspects of the action – they are covered broadly in comments in the former post about it.
If I may, Saker, I would like to clarify the IRGC US Navy confrontation in the sea of Oman.
All indications are that Iran had sold a Vietnamese company oil at below-market. The Vietnamese oil tanker had loaded and left Iranian territorial Waters on its way back to Vietnam. World Arrogance that was operating warships in the the sea of Oman hijacked the loaded Vietnamese oil tanker. The Vietnamese crew puts out a call for help from the IRGC who arrives immediately with full force freeing the commercial oil tanker and defeating the warmongers. This is what you see in the film of the operations released by Iran.
Dear Ali
Thank you. Question: so there were no US personnel on board the tanker, right?
Then how did the USN hijack the tanker?
Sorry, I don’t get that, any idea?
Thank you
Andrei
Probably the USN was just in the process of hijacking. Orders were probably given by the USN to the tanker to stop. At that point the tanker called the IRGC. Attempted highjacking.
All indications are that the Vietnamese oil tanker was in the process of being hijacked. They had received warnings by the warmongers and informed that they will be taken hostage. This is when they send out their SOS, likely previously arranged with Iranian forces. The IRGC apparently arrives before the Vietnamese ship was boarded by the hijackers. The released film shows IRGC Marines descending on the ship without any resistance.
This guy is well connected to the IRGC and is telling the context of the operation. So a loose translation:
For some month ago a big Iranian tanker with around 1.5 mio barrels of oil, was transferring it to 2 smaller tankers at sea. At some point “the Americans” interfere, (He dosent say how, but i have read from other sources that some US navy ships where moving towards them with warnings), and it ends with the 2 smaller tankers to leave without paying for the oil. The 2 smaller tankers say that they cant pay for the oil because they are afraid of getting sanctioned by the US. One of the 2 smaller tankers get caught by the IRGC and gets escorted to Iranian waters. While at the same time this leased Vietnamese tanker gets away with 750.000 barrels of oil.
Now, since then (several months), IRGC has been tracking the leased Vietnamese tanker, the one you see in the videos. And just as the video shows, they board this ship, and make it sail to Iranian waters.
The significant part about the video is that US navy ships are NOT “delivering security” as they cant even make Iran back off this tanker in international waters.
Having lived for last 30 years in “zone A”, I witnessed it all – outsourcing of manual and intellectual labor, decay of education on all levels, to the degree that my country in zone A cannot produce a single physical thing nor intellectual (software, advanced science, philosophy and such). We depend on others, India, China, Eastern European countries, former USSR, you name it. Of course we take their knowledge, skills and work habits and present it as ours. If they are second generation, then they are true Canadians. Like Milos Raonic or Denis Shapovalov, Canadian tennis superstars. Oh, I forgot that Romanian girl that beat Serena Williams and then apologized for beating her… Those names are known enough for people to understand what I am talking about. Scientists, engineers, doctors, professors are not that famous so I will mention no names, but you get the picture.
If we look closer, say software “industry”, we can see that most persons involved in software have Chinese, Indian or Middle East names (Pakistan, Bangladesh, and yes, Iranian too). You can find Eastern Europeans, former socialist countries, for some reason mostly Serbians and Romanians, with speckling of Ukrainians and Belarusians, and of course Russians. Although, immigrants from former socialist countries from Europe started retiring, that is why we see less of them compared to Asians.
I had opportunity to work with all of them, and of course they aren’t all equal. Some are good, some are excellent, some are weak, a nice Gauss curve describes the entire lot. For individual countries of origin, we see the same – most people are OK, a few are weak, and a few are top of the class. All except one. From one group I have not seen a single person, on any technical job, even medicine that is not top or close to top. That group is Iranians. Funny how our country is treating Iran as a country and nation, put them down, call them primitive Muslim savages… Yet we allow them to work, even medical doctors. Canadians know that foreign trained doctors have miniscule chance to work in Canada, even if they come from England or USA. Easterners? Forget it. However, somehow all Iranian doctors quickly become full time employed doctors. Why is that? Because they are very good in what they do – writing software, curing illnesses or teach engineering at universities. Almost forgot, they are very good in running construction of subways – civil engineers. In each of mentioned fields I have seem with my own eyes what they can do.
Iranians are serious players and they deserve full respect. Whether and if they export their religion and ideology does not change the fact they are among the best in what they do. If they manage to conquer the world and impose whatever they use to become so good in what they do, what harm would be in that? In our lifetimes, they have no intention nor chance to conquer the world, we are safe, our grandchildren too. So instead throwing mud at them, it is better to learn something from them.
Just because we live in “zone A” does not make us any smarter or better people. The wheel of fortune keeps turning, we could be zone B soon.
So instead throwing mud at them, it is better to learn something from them.
Oh how much I wish Russia did that!!! When I compare the aggregate power/capabilities of Russia and Iran, Iran is SO much weaker, yet they show SO MUCH MORE courage and defiance than Russia does, it shames me.
Not that I want Russia to become an Islamic Republic, but I do want it to become an Orthodox Republic :-)
Also, the leader of Russia are pragmatists. The leaders of Iran are idealists. My heart is with the latter.
“The Americans have no option in the military sector and they pursue the approach of avoiding war with us,”
I think between this one and Gen Salami, we have a clear idea that is well spoken, of where Iran stands. Taking its place and playing a functional role in the multipolar world. It’s actually quite beautiful to see and is not something that I imagined I would see.
(Multi polarity is what our new word design is. Not 3 poles as a certain US General says).
So instead throwing mud at them, it is better to learn something from them.
Oh I agree, there will be regional powers which at least China and Russia will treat as sovereign states, even though China and Russia are now the biggest dogs in the yard.
But in the Middle-East, for example, Iran is already the major regional power. That will also happen in other places, no matter how hard the folks in Zone A wave their flags :-)
It was a fallen world before the Empire and it will be after. The point is that today it is the Empire that is most destructive (and deceptive) so it should be brought down to size.
Dear Saker.
I see you point regarding (stupid) post on you blog.
But I hope that some of those are just “Uninformed”.
So here is some information to those who do not know:
Jack wrote:

My response:
No news that I’m aware of, has reported that the Tanker was hijacked.
Where did you get that information (idea) from?
Jack wrote:

My Response:
NO, Iran made the US Navy Stand Down and leave. No if and But.
Jack Wrote:

My response:
NO One in Zone B is cheering for the West because the Empire is controlling the western population with Propaganda worse than the propaganda of the Third Reich. At the same time the Empire are doing what it can to destabilize both Zone A and B
Jack Wrote:

My Response:
I do not want my Daughters or Wife in Burka, but most importantly, neither do my daughters or wife.
In the North we say: May Your God be with You.
We accept that you may have another God, values or traditions, and have no urge to convert you.
Jack wrote:
Is there a difference between advocating for Orthodox Christian the Muslim brotherhood
and Macron rebuilding Notre Dame as a universal temple of all religions?
My Response:
The difference lies in whether you demand other people to conform to your religion, or to conform to the universal religion.
Macron is disrespecting the Christian tradition in France by changing Notre Dame to a universal temple for all religions. A plan devised in the Vatican to unite all religions under the Pope – connected to the Empire.
The Muslim Brotherhood is not a Religion, but a lodge of Fraternity members connected to Western Freemasonry, and thus connected to the Empire.
Jack Wrote:
Globalism pushed in Zone A and B – are all the same.
My Response:
Globalism is connected only to Zone A and the global One world Order.
Zone B is connected to the Multipolar world order of independent sovereign states.

My Response
I agree.
Wahhabi is a cult connected to the Saudi Royal Dynasty – connected to European Royal dynasties – Forming the Global Elite controlling the Empire.
Wahhabism is absolutely un-connected to the Shia religion of Muslims in Iran, Iraq, Yemen and Syria.

Just a technical question:
Why then, is the Iranian video posted by the Saker, showing that the Vietnamese Tanker is sailing north (into the Gulf of Oman) during the incident, instead of going south (out of the Gulf of Oman) toward the open sea?
I have a lot of respect for how Iran has stood up for itself in the face of western aggression and sanctions. While I may not agree with them on some topics Iranian leaders, unlike their western counterparts, tend to stand on principles and refuse to be bought off. The west desperately needs leaders like that.
If the West had leaders like that, it wouldn’t be the West anymore. Sometimes, I tend to think that it actually would work to have a revolution ”from outside” here. Just think what the badly ravaged USSR accomplished in Eastern Europe post-1945.
Iran is the most important adversary of Zionism specifically. And it has solidified to such an extent that the Zionist Entity — after 40+ years — still hasn’t dared to attack it militarily and never will, despite Iran’s overt support of Syria, Hezbollah, and the Palestinians. Indeed, now that Iran has joined the SCO and signed a major business agreement with China, the country is more safe, stable, and viable than it has ever been.

So, please, dislike me and my blog as much as you want and, please, act on that dislike and simply go away. Or, better, open your own blog and call it “ihateislam.info” or something similar and dispense all your views to whomever you want (and you WILL find an audience, no worries).
But please stop wasting my time!
Jack here,
I wrote “advocating Orthodox Christian and Muslim brotherhood”
meaning you are advocating a brotherhood between Orthodox Christians and Muslims (against the West)

Thank you for providing this information!
Kind regards
Andrei
This is a very good speech. I wish I had one of those little machines that I can work with my foot, and type up a transcript real quick.
This follows naturally on that speech, but is more internally focused. Also very good. The PressTV piece is a discussion of a speech by Brigadier General Gholam-Reza Jalali and what makes it good, is the analysis of the US’ new approach so to speak. https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2021/11/05/669976/US-left-with-no-military-option-against-Iran
Jack wrote:
The oil tanker was hijacked: And both Iranian and US ships tried to intervene.
My response:
No news that I’m aware of, has reported that the Tanker was hijacked.
Where did you get that information (idea) from?
Jack wrote:
Iran made a performing act like they chased the Americans away.
My Response:
NO, Iran made the US Navy Stand Down and leave. No if and But.
Jack Wrote:
See, this is why many in Zone B are cheering for the West.
My response:
NO One in Zone B is cheering for the West because the Empire is controlling the western population with Propaganda worse than the propaganda of the Third Reich. At the same time the Empire are doing what it can to destabilize both Zone A and B
Jack Wrote:
just look at the burka on the right, do you support that for your own daughters and wives?

The Wahhabis violently export their version of religion and ideology.
The Muslim Brotherhood is now an officially registered party here in Sweden, thanks to Erdogan’s financing. I have yet to see, however, any credible evidence of Iran doing anything similar!
My Response

@Bill Osborne Jr
