Everyone else got it wrong, and that’s why you should only read thesaker.is and our partners.
Let’s start with a hypothetical scenario.
A supra-national intergovernmental criminal organization called the Deep State runs a militarized intelligence agency called the CIA. They make money the way street thugs do. Only instead of ambushing individuals, they attack, ambush, rape, pillage and loot entire countries. Their ambush operations against any doomed nation always camouflaged as the civil rights movement and always starts with an arrival of a private charitable foundation named after George Soros.
Now, imagine that someone invented a powerful antidote to this systemic socioeconomic virus. Imagine that someone created a private charitable foundation. let’s say this foundation is named the Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation.
Ramzan Kadyrov established a charity in his father’s name in 2008. Since its interception, the Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation delivered tens of thousands tons of food and medicine supplies to the Muslim nations affected by national disasters and wars in Africa and in the Middle East. The Foundation has also delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Lugansk republics and to the areas of Russia affected by floods and wildfires. This foundation delivers tons of food, medicine and other help to some most desperate and abandoned people whom no one else dares to help. because they are being used as a bait by the Deep State to create social chaos and unrest in the targeted country.
Now, imagine that this foundation is being run by a Muslim scholar, who is respected in all Muslim countries and communities. Believe it or not, but he is someone who can bring together on a short notice not just hundreds or thousands, but a million of people across many countries. Most importantly, the man who runs this charitable foundation is also a Russian military officer. In addition, he is one of those people who will stay in history as a gatherer of Russia’s lands, a unifier of the nation and a guardian of the Russian Empire.
The way this antidote works against Deep State driven color revolutions is similar to the way potassium iodide. works as anti-dote to the radioactive poisoning. If to take potassium iodide. immediately when exposed to radioactive materials, the thyroid gland would absorb it and then block the uptake of radioactive iodide.. If you take potassium iodide. before or when exposed to radioactive iodide, there won’t be any place for it to go because your thyroid is all filled and the radioactive material will be excreted from your body.
According to an official statement, Russia and Myanmar have a longstanding relationship of friendship and cooperation that began with the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1948. The Soviet Union, and then Russia, had provided over the past 66 years considerable assistance in the development of Myanmar country in various spheres, including in the economic sphere
In June of 2016, Russia’s Ministry of Defense and Myanmar signed a defense cooperation agreement. Announcement by the Russian Defense Ministry and by the RT.
According to the official statement, “The signing of this Agreement establishes a solid legal framework for relationships between Russia and Myanmar in the military field, it includes exchange of information on international security and counterterrorism, development of relationships in the field of military medicine, history, topography, culture and recreation of servicemen and members of their families, exchange of experience in the field of peacekeeping as well as interaction during search-and-rescue operations at sea.”
Prior to the defense cooperation agreement, Russia has done significant amount of work that resulted in 2014 Economic cooperation agreement between Russia and Myanmar. in Russian.
In 2015, the Chief of the Main Staff of the Land Forces of Myanmar Lieutenant General Chjo Shwei visited Russia to participate in Army2015 military games and to familiarize himself with the Russian military hardware.
“The relationships of the Armed Forces of Russian and Myanmar are developing and are constantly improving. Your country is a close and good friend for us and I hope that our cooperation will only become stronger,” stated Chjo Shwei.
In the spring of 2017, Myanmar announced that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar will visit Russia during the summer
“In course of the VI Moscow Conference on International Security, Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Alexander Fomin had a meeting with Deputy Defence Minister of Myanmar Rear Admiral Myint Nwe.
During the discussion, Deputy Defence Minister stated that the Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was to visit Russia this summer.”
Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who was in the Russian Federation visited Archestrakyigar Mehailar Church in Sevastopol at 5 pm standard time on 22 June and gave donation to the church.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing then visited Fortification and Engineering Installations Museum in Balaklava.
Moreover, the senior general visited the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) to meet Myanmar army officers who are studying at universities in Russia on June 18.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said Myanmar is currently moving toward a multi-party democracy system, and the army is involved in the process.
“The Myanmar army is cooperating with the government in every sector. We will see that the constitution is based on a federal system,” he said.
At the meeting, the Russian Defence Minister expressed condolences for the deaths of officers, other ranks and officers caused by the Y-8 plane crash tragedy of Myanmar Tatmadaw, and the Senior General expressed thanks for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s letter of condolences for the plane crash on 8 June
The two discussed promotion of cooperation between two armed forces, security cooperation, dispatching of Myanmar military personnel to military medical training in Russia, holding of sports events between two armed forces, promotion of cooperation between ASEAN and Russia, exchange of the visit of naval ships as well as high-ranking officials between two armed forces, and dispatching more Myanmar military officials for scholarship training in Russia.
On the basis of the mutual relations Russia considers Myanmar to be a reliable partner in providing security in Southeast Asia.

If you know and understand how the scenarios for the color revolutions have been played out, you know that a crash of a military plane with officers onboard is nearly always a sign that an attempt of a color revolution is underway.
It’s all started in 2006, with the Shwe Gas Project, a large-scale natural gas consortium with PetroChina, which involved a construction of 770 kilometers gas pipeline through Burma to Kunming in China’s Yunnan Province.

Prior to this no one among the members of the Western coalition cared about the plight of the population of Myanmar, but from the moment the country discovered mineral wealth and started selling it to China, the West announced the “violations of human rights” in the country.
Just a simple list of the articles indexed by a search engine tells you the whole story:
- Mar 24, 2007 – Burma: Natural Gas Project Threatens Human Rights, by hrw.org
- May 11, 2013 – Burma: China-Led Oil, Gas Projects Spark Arrests … to extract natural gas from the Shwe fields off the coast of Burma, a deep-sea port, and overland oil and gas pipelines from Arakan State to Yunnan Province in China, by hrw.org
- Apr 26, 2013 – The dirty fossil fuel secret behind Burma’s democratic fairytale, by theguardian.com
- In 2004 an organization was created called The SHWE Gas Movement that uses the domain shwe.org and mail.shwe.org hosted in Kiev, Ukraine. IP Address 77.120.115.197, IP Location Ukraine – Kyiv – Kiev – Kyivski Telekomunikatsiyni Merezhi Llc.
The organization is dedicated to “raising awareness about the social, economic and environmental impacts of the Shwe Gas Project” and to protests against “the Shwe Gas Project and China’s Trans-Burma pipelines.” The Shwe Gas Movement (SGM) is a community based organization campaigning against the Shwe Gas Project and China’s Trans-Burma Pipelines, for Human Rights.
Shwe Gas Movement: Corporate-fascist feel-good scam seeks to crush competition & establish global monopoly with army of NGOs.
CIA’s Otpor fist has made its way around the world from Serbia and across the “Arab Spring.” It is now “punching” Chinese-Myanmar cooperative development, in particular the “Shwe Gas Project” with funding and support from NED, George Soros’ Open Society, and the OCED.
Amongst the myriad of organizations listed on Revenue Watch’s partnership list, is the Shwe Gas Movement. There are no smiling brown people to be found here, instead the clenched fist of the CIA’s Otpor movement can be seen “punching” Chinese-Myanmar oil rigs and pipelines, as well as mobs waving Wall Street-London creation Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy flags in the streets of London.
As you can see this NED- Soros organization still uses the old British colonial name Burma. So do multiple other “organizations” like burmacampaign.org located in the UK, but hosted in Japan. So does earthrights.org located in Washington and claiming that “over 100 organizations in more than 20 countries marked the Global Day of Action (GDA) against the Shwe Gas Project” in 2012.
The reasons why the globalists are opposed to the Shwe Gas Project.
It’s a state owned and operated entity with the revenue going to the state budget for social programs, pensions, heath care, education and developing the country’s infrastructure.
The pipeline is an integration project with China that provides for the China’s investments and developing in the South Asian region.
Myanmar has a defense cooperation agreement with Russia and buys Russian weapons, and its military officers are being trained and educated in Russia.
Designed to carry 12 billion cubic meters of natural gas, Myanmar pipeline gives China faster supply of oil and gas than from Middle East.
In May 2017, Myanmar Times reported that “Some two million tonnes of oil and two billion cubic metres of gas will be supplied annually for domestic use after the completion of Myanmar-China oil and gas pipelines, the South East Asia Crude Oil Pipeline Co Ltd (SEAOP) and the South East Asia Gas Pipeline Co Ltd (SEAGP) said in a statement.
Those oil and gas supply will support Myanmar’s economic growth and improve the livelihood of the people, it added.
Six companies are shareholders in the SEAGP: Chinese state-owned oil and gas corporation China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE), Daewoo, Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), India-based ONGC Co and India-based GAIL Co.”
Thus, Myanmar gas and oil make a healthy competition to the Persian Gulf countries for China’s market.
Myanmar Oil Pipeline Could Bring Cheaper Crude To China
At the beginning of June things were going well for Myanmar. Their pipelines became fully operational in spring, and with the revenue coming they had a great chance to improve the desperate poverty of this former British colony.
In June 25, 2017, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing returns from Russia
“Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party who were in the Russian Federation left Sevastopol air base onboard a special Russian military plane on 23 June morning and arrived at the Chkalovskii air base in Moscow.
At the air base, the Senior General inspected an IL-76 TD transport plane used by the Russian military.
In the afternoon, the Senior General departed from Moscow Demodedovo International Airport and arrived in Yangon yesterday afternoon. The Senior General was welcomed at the airport by Commander of Yangon Military Command Brig-Gen Thet Pone, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Nikolay A. Listopadov, Deputy Military Attache Commander Vitaly V. Luchshev and officials.”
But in August, the country was shocked by the appearance of the Myanmar’s ISIS, a fake Islamic group claiming to protect the local Muslim population from the militant Buddhists monks.
“The situation deteriorated on August 25, when hundreds of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army militants attacked 30 police stations. Clashes between Muslims and Buddhists in western Myanmar have claimed more than 400 lives over the past week, mostly Rohingya militants. Another 146,000 Rohingya refugees fled to Bangladesh,” TASS reported.
There is however a couple of wrinkles to this story that should give a pause to all of us.
“Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army” is reported to be a CIA trained militant group lead by the Western “specialists.” The group is the “third force” that attacks and kills the government troops and law enforcement and the civilians, Muslims and Buddhists.
Multiple images and videos that the Western media uses are not verified. Most of them have been already proven to be fake.
The Buddhist monks have been killing the Muslims with impunity all along. The militant monks are organized in paramilitary groups that terrorize the local population demanding people to support and feed them, to work for them for free. They involved in kidnapping of children and adults, in slave trade, torture and murders. They intimidate the local people into giving them children to work for them and to be made into monks. The monks don’t have their own children and they have to perpetuate their sect. Until recently they were known for horrific tortures and for making items from human skins and bones.
They have been known to kidnap the China’s citizens, also, until China took over Lhasa and managed to stop their bloody practices.
They have been idealized by the Western media, because these practices have been perpetuated by the Europeans all throughout the 20 centuries. No wonder that the Tibetan Lama headquarter is located in Langley.
Just recently Dalai Lama opened his ugly mouth and squawked that his dream was to “see NATO headquarter to be moved to Moscow.” We all know that he meant NATO invasion and defeat of Russia. After these his words, this neo-Nazi shouldn’t even think of showing up in Moscow.
Needless to say that the Russian Buddhists don’t practice any of these.
On September 3rd, Tens of thousands protest in Russia’s Grozny in solidarity with Rohingyas
What even more, an unauthorized meetings took place in Moscow and in Saint Petersburg
On September 3rd, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement. Comment by the Information and Press Department on the aggravated humanitarian situation in Rakhine State in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar
“We are closely following the situation in Myanmar’s Rakhine State. We are concerned with the reports of continued fighting that has killed civilians and members of the Myanmar Government’s law enforcement agencies, as well as the drastic aggravation of the humanitarian situation in this region of the country.
We are urging all the involved parties to launch constructive dialogue as soon as possible for the purpose of normalising the situation in line with recommendations of the Advisory Commission on Rakhine State headed by Kofi Annan”.
On September 6, Putin had a meeting with Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China State Council Wang Yang in Vladivostok, during which he said, “The Ambassador told me that during the BRICS summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping offered a new assessment of bilateral relations. He said that Chinese-Russian relations are not just relations, but comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation, as well as friendship. For me, too, this is very positive, good news.
Ramzan Kadyrov held a meeting in Grozny and call top help the Muslim in Myanmar
With Russia’s political and cultural influence growing, it’s interesting to see the Russia’s Muslims gaining an international influence. The Chechens have done huge amount of humanitarian work.
Kadyrov established a charity in his father’s name in 2008. Since its interception, the Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation delivered tens of thousands tons of food and medicine supplies to the Muslim nations affected by national disasters and wars in Africa and in the Middle east. The Foudation has also delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Lugansk republics and to the areas of Russia affected by floods and wildfires.
- In 2011-2012 Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation delivered humanitarian aid to Somalia
- During the summer of 2016 the foundation sent 120 tones of humanitarian aid to various Syrian provinces.
- December 2016: Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation charity sent 80 tones of humanitarian aid to Syria
- The Akhmat Hajji Kadyrov Regional Public Fund pledged to restore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo, which was destroyed by the Islamic State (IS).Al-Monitor, Geopolmonitor, VestiKavkaza in Russian.
- February 9. /TASS/. Chechnya’s Akhmad Kadyrov Fund has organized delivery of more than ten tonnes of food and other relief aid to Syria, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said on Thursday.
- In September 2016, the fund had sent more than 2,500 sheep, 100 bulls and 10 camels to residents of Damascus, Latakia and Tartus for the Kurban Bayrami. It also provided 7,000 Syrian children with school kits.
- 04 May 2016 Somaliland: Chechens Deliver 240 tons of Russian Drought Relief Supplies
This follows the delivery of Russian donated drought relief supplies by a delegation composed of politicians from Chechnya an Islamic administrative region of Russia who have been in the country for over a week.
The Chechen delegation which is led by Ziyad Sabsabi Member of the Group Deputy and Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs. Representative of the legislative (representative) body of the Chechen Republic (Russian Federation) were hosted at President Ahmed Mahmoud Silanyo as part of their farewell.
For more analysis of what Chechens do in the Middle East, read an article of Maxim A. Suchkov, an editor of Al-Monitor.
One of the most important aspects of the Chechen influence is the fact that they offer an alternative for other Sunni Muslims of how to live peaceful, productive, modern, prosperous lives in the framework of their customs and beliefs in a secular society along the Orthodox Christians, Buddhists and atheists.
Why did the meetings were held?
“The policies of military and of monks exceed the activities of the Nazis in death camps. The authorities of the country have stripped over 1 million Rohingya of their right to life… The United Nations, the European Union, regional organizations of Southeast Asia, kings, presidents, media outlets keep watch over it without saying anything,” Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov said at the rally, Sputnik reports.
The official added that the whole ethnic group was close to extinction and the tragedy had been lasting for years, however, no one introduced the sanctions against Myanmar.
Later in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Kadyrov’s statement.
“I will tell you honestly, I have read about various statements… We know that Muslims perceive these events in Myanmar very emotionally, but I unfortunately did not have time to get acquainted with them personally. I would like to first get abreast, and then somehow give an assessment. I will not do it right now,” Peskov said, answering the question about how the Kremlin reacted to Kadyrov’s words, according to the vestnikkavkaza.
“As for the opinion of Russian citizens on the foreign policy of the Russian state, everyone has the right to express their own opinion, regardless of his official position,” he said at a press conference following the results of the BRICS summit. ”This also concerns the leaders of the regions,” TASS quotes Putin as saying. The Russian president assured that “there is no ‘Fronde’ on the part of the leader of Chechnya.”

In case you have forgotten what happened in Ukraine, this book should refresh your memory with the incredibly precise and humorous chronicles: ANTHOLOGY OF RUSSIAN HUMOR: FROM MAIDAN TO TRUMP
Here’s what I recently wrote on the topic, including links to my original forecast from 2015 that the US wants to carve a South Asian “Kosovo” out of “Rohingaland”:
“The Rohingya Crisis will probably get a lot worse before it gets any better, and it might even escalate to the point of prompting a multilateral international intervention, but the only real and globally acceptable solution that Myanmar might have left to avoid this eventual worst-case scenario is to involve the Rohingyas in some capacity in the ongoing Panglong 2.0 federalization peace talks.
…
The present analysis will focus solely on Myanmar’s conflict scenarios and the most realistic possibilities for bringing peace to the war-torn country, which will constitute the first and second parts of this research. The third and final one will then discuss the way that China could overcome the challenges to implementing the proposed peace plan in Myanmar and thereby play an indispensable role in facilitating the conflict resolution process there.”

Thanks, Andrew
I didn’t see your article.
I started responding to Anatoliy Karlin before realizing that there is more to this story than meets the eye.
Anatoliy Karlin mentions the Saker in his article on the Chechen reaction to news coming from Myanmar.
“How wonderful would it be if “Putin’s political son” (according to The Saker) and “Putin’s soldier” (according to Kadyrov himself) were to one day discover the plight of the Uyghurs and force Putin to condemn violence on all sides there?”
Chechnya’s Ramzan Kadyrov is spreading the spore of Muslim identity politics in Russia on the taxpayer’s dime
http://russia-insider.com/en/politics/chechnyas-ramzan-kadyrov-stuns-moscow-anti-buddhist-protest/ri20839
Andrew Korybko is perfectly right, and Ramzan Kadyrov – same goes for Iran – seems to be somewhat (if not completely) fooled by this latest (covert) Western imperialistic war of aggression on a sovereign country. Not unlike the one on Yugoslavia (Kosovo), Syria, and so forth.
(Sunni) Islam, just like Western Christianity (or the Germans at the time of the Hitler Project), has been hijacked by Zionist Satanism (Saudi-Wahhabism), and is waging Jihad on behalf of Western imperialism (their own enslavers).
Gearóid Ó Colmáin is a real expert on Western (Roth-child) terrorism, and the Rohingya Psyops, and just wrote a new article about it. His first article: http://www.gearoidocolmain.org/rohingya-psyops-us-covert-war-myanmar/ tells one all one needs to know.
Kadyrov deserves a lot of respect and admiration.
But all these colour revolutions have been known for 3-10-50 years by now. Is it so hard to find the organisers (Soros/CIA), the NGO´s and get them exposed/eliminated in time?
I mean both China and Russia are there close and US are a long way from home. It has no logic that Soros/CIA/M16/ISIS suddenly can pop up in Philippines, Cameroun, Myanmar, the center of Russia/China heartland, anywhere and everytime they take everyone with surprise, surprise, surprise.
“to involve the Rohingyas in some capacity in the ongoing Panglong 2.0 federalization peace talks”
Hey that reminds me of something…oh yeh, federalization peace talks with the Syrian Kurds ;)
I forgot to write “federalization” instead of federalization — I’m referring to the quotation marks. Anyway, “federalization” in the context of these Western-engineered conflicts is always a euphemism for partition. People are now saavy about Oded Yinon and the New Middle East plans…partition was always the goal.
Sorry, I mean “federalization” was always the goal :P
Except in Ukraine, where maintaining the unity and integrity of Ukraine is the goal.
As always, they just make this stuff up as they go along.
I cannot agree more with your assertions that this is classical case of colour revolution, but we have to understand that people are dying and there will definitely be outcry which the organisers want but which clearly the Myanmarese leaders are not prepared for and look helpless to address. The Muslims reactions to the crisis is in tandem with human nature just as it’s obvious most of you have avoided a major point in Scot’s writeup which is the atrocious and vile actions the Buddhist monks are known to have been committing against not just the Muslims but the Chinese. But China is powerful enough to protect her citizens and given the close geopolitical proximity the question is who will protect the Rohingya Muslims? Why have any of you guys including the Saker failed to tackle this in your comments? Or is it that anytime Russia’s interest is involved the truth wears another garb? Does this not simply means that the Myanmar government in their failure to protect their minorities are inadvertently preparing the ground for a colour revolutionary take over?
I don’t have anything against any of you guys its just obvious that sometimes what we accused others of doing becomes the norms when we are in the same position. Human nature I guess.
The situation in Myanmar is not something Kadyrov should be getting involved in let alone calling these large demonstrations.
The Rohingar are part of yet another Saudi backed jihadis movement. And this is becoming more and more apparent.
Saudi are also funding many mosques in Bangladesh which will soon give birth to more jihadis.
Ramzan Kadyrov behaviour is a disgrace – stirring up muslims to march about issues in a foreign state ??? when his region is reliant on 80% of subsidy from central govt the focus needs to be at home.
It also put the President where he had to answer questions on a geopolitical situation.
He wants to play big power politics but is not clever enough to do this.
I’m inclined to agree with you, James Lake. This strikes me as playing with fire. If the Muslims in Chechnya are encouraged to passionately believe that “Buddhists are terrorists” and a threat to Islam, why wouldn’t they turn on the Russian Buddhist population eventually? Identity politics destroyed the social fabric of the USA, didn’t it? Why would the exact same technique produce a different result when applied in Russia? Putin is the first person to point out that fomenting extremism for a short-term noble benefit, brings disaster in the longer term.
S113 your observations about Kadyrov demonizing Buddhists with such Western style over-the-top propaganda, are right on the mark: it will spill over to Russian Buddhists (Saker had once mentioned that the Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, is Buddhist).
These irresponsible statements by Kadyrov also imply that he’s put the interests of pan-Islamism brotherhood over national unity and harmony in Russia. You can see how his outburst can confirm the fear in Orthodox & secular Russians that hold the belief that Muslims are always going to be a 5th column in non Muslim societies. Kadyrov should think about the damaging effect his recklessness is having on the image Russian Muslims too. Instead of riling up Muslims in Russia, he should have approached the Kremlin for support and answers.
Thanks, Anonymous. Kadyrov is a warrior, a sincere and noble one from what I’ve heard, and he does seem to want to defend the pan-Islamic brotherhood. I know patriotic Russians generally disregard the West entirely, but in this case, the Western experience is useful. How many of us have gone into employment in corporations, for example, recognizing that manipulative tactics dominate? We tell ourselves that we will play the game, but with a noble purpose, and prevail over the swamp, even in a small, humble way… only to find ourselves in a “race to the bottom” which we must frantically abandon at some point to salvage what’s left of our badly-beaten noble selves?? Fighting fire with fire is just not always the best strategy to prevail, although that might offend the warrior’s instincts. If Kadyrov wants to combat Soros’ toxic influence on the Muslim people, he should avoid letting Soros set the parameters and the rules for the battle – which is exactly what has happened in Myanmar. Swamp overlords do not respect a fair fight. They are predators, not warriors, and do not strive for a noble victory. Don’t step on their battleground!
Here’s an example: the Kadyrov foundation partners with the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama sends people to tend to the needs of civilians in Yemen. The Kadyrov foundation provides Chechen warriors as protection, and to build bridges with the local population. In turn, the Kadyrov foundation agrees to help in Nepal, rebuilding from that devastating earthquake. The Dalai Lama helps build bridges between the Chechen rebuilders and the local Buddhist population. Spin that, Zio-media.
S113, James lake
Well, you both have completely misunderstood the situation.
Read my article again, especially the paragraph about potassium iodine. The Russian Muslims influence in the world should and will grow. They will replace the Saudi’s influence.
And why not? Why wouldn’t we go where we want to go and replace the Saudi’s and ultimately Israel?
” He wants to play big power politics but is not clever enough to do this.”
Oh, really? He supported and maintained his father’s policies to stay within Russia and to pull his nation from the Islamic state abyss and the occupation by the CIA and the international mercenaries.
He is a cornerstone of Russia’s shuttle diplomacy in the Middle East and the Muslim parts of Africa. And he has time to go and to get Russian children from Iraq.
“is region is reliant on 80% of subsidy” So do many others regions. It’s hard to become self-reliant soon after devastating wars.
Scott, I may be mis-reading the situation, but it seems to me that Kadyrov and his foundation, in this instance, are trying to outdo Soros and his foundation by outplaying the hearts and minds of exploitable people, for different goals. Soros, for destructive ones, Kadyrov, for noble ones (to prevent destruction). Nonetheless, it is the same tactic in play – manipulating masses with emotion. Kadyrov’s credibility could be at risk as a leader if some of the gullible members of the mob conclude that he is using them. That is the dangerous game he seems to be entering into here. Putin has stated bluntly against the use of proxies, who cannot be controlled, and then turn on their masters. Clearly, Kadyrov has honestly earned the trust of large numbers of Muslim people, both in and out of Russia. He should be careful about risking that trust be trying to ‘out-proxy’ Soros, with his supporters versus Soros supporters. Or to out-proxy Saudi Arabia. There’s that Western saying, about ‘even if you win the rat race, you’re still a rat.’
S113
“There’s that Western saying, about ‘even if you win the rat race, you’re still a rat.’”
No, not after you dismantle the Western rats racetrack and replace it with real diplomacy and economic relations.
Your attitude reminds me of Douglas Adam’s Vogon saying “resistance is useless.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U42wsVF82J4
Just the fact that the Western media “suddenly” shut up with its fake news about Myanmar, tells you that Kadyrov gets things done.
His methods are very effective and they are nothing like the Soros’ methods.
Kadyrov brings real food to starving people, Soros gives money to people who create shortage of food,
Feel the difference.
BTW, some Russians and Ukrainians living in Myanmar report that there is nothing happening there of what has been reported by the media.
Mobs chanting “Buddhists are terrorists” are identical to Soros ‘divide and conquer’ mobs. I’ll leave it at that. Agree with the rest of your comments, though, and appreciate your insights and I wish the Kadyrov foundation the best success as it continues with its work.
As one who knows zero about the situation with the Rohingyas in Myanmar, I can say that the information in this account has left me confused.
Are teh Rohingya an oppressed minority or are they a wing of ISIS?
Or has the oppressed minority been penetrated by operatives trying to get a jihadist movement going in Myanmar?
If the Buddhist monks have been lording it over the Rohingyas for generations then it seems to me that this offers fertile ground for ISIS-like entities to make major inroads: the “logic” of ISIS has been to capture territory and simultaneously terrorize but also protect the people within its territory. Is this what it is trying to do in Myanmar? And if so, who profits from this? It seems like establishing a secular govt in Myanmar (or, maybe there is on already? I don’t know) would be the way to solve two problems with one stone: Stop the beastly Buddists and eliminate the potential for a jihadist entity to create a wedge in the state.
Katherine
My understanding is that Rohingyas in Myanmar are said from Bangladesh or west Bangal, They have has many children fast, and scare the natives to death. Pretty much like what happened in Serbian Kosovo. Except this time US seems on Myanmar side.
Tibeten ruling Buddhist was unique, I have not hear Myanmar Buddhists keeping slaves, and using their slaves skull as a bowl. Their are bad Buddhists just as there are bad Christian, not something unique.
I am not going to get in who is right or wrong here. Just point out some thing I read.
@James Lake
Once again you make astute observations. This Scott article is so inconsistent with reality that it leaves those not versed in the affairs of Myanmar scratching their heads in confusion. There’s a huge leap in logic and jumbling of concepts and conspiracy theories. The nonsense about Buddhists stealing children and using human body parts and skin is reminiscent of “using human skin from concentration camps to make lampshades” propaganda from WW-2 (for the uninitiated the human skin lampshade BS and soap made out of human fat from holocaust victims BS has been debunked (quietly) by Jewish organizations themselves). If kadyrov propagated this lie about Buddhists then he’s either been duped or he’s being malicious.
Tremendously disappointing article from Scott. Some clarifications:
Russia is not a major player in Myanmar, no matter what Scott says, the major players in order of influence are: The Myanmar military, the Myanmar people, the civilian govt, China or India (as both have equal influence but in different areas), the West (and their Islamic stooges in the GCC), finally Russia (who has little leverage other than providing Yangon with an alternative to China for military supplies). It is because the West now has almost the least influence that they have started this insurgency (the usual modus operandi of Anglo intelligence of gaining blackmail & leverage using their Saudi financed local Islamic useful idiots to create mayhem).
The rohingyas are the party that instigated the killings murdering scores of Myanmar police (50-60) to provoke a massive retaliation by the mainly Burmese Myanmar military. The parallels to Kosovo and their Serb victims is obvious: the KLA murdered many Kosovo Serb policemen before milosovic was compelled to retaliate. Of course like the idiot propagandists in the Islamic world and the West then (Kosovo) as now (Myanmar/Rakhine State) conveniently forgot to mention the butchery of the native policemen and only played up the retaliation of the government.
Even the prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, this weekend, in front of western cameras pointed the finger of blame on the Rohingya terrorists for starting this crisis and she asked the western media why they weren’t reporting this. For those lay in south Asian affairs, rohingyas are ethinically practically the same as Bangladeshi Muslims (both are Non-Shia too). Despite the closely emotional and ethnic ties between Rohingyas and Bangladeshis, Bangladesh has pointed the finger of blame at Rohingya terrorists and implied that the are transnational terrorist force supported by the West ( PM Hasina asked: “Why you haven’t reported these facts [that rohingyas terrorists instigated this crisis]? It raises questions in our mind why is it that [crises all over the world] are turning Muslims into refugees everywhere; the international Ummah (Muslim community) needs to ask who is behind this.” She was refering to Syria, Yemen and now Myanmar. She was clearly implying the same culprit was behind all of these terrorist induced refugee crises.
Well he’s not the only one. Iran has spoken up too. I agree both should stay out it.

Militant Buddhists? WTF?
Just another topic of which I have no understanding.
Militant Buddhists? WTF?
Yes. They are not your American garden variety fake yoga pants wearing Buddhists.
Just research some Dalai Lama and Hitler connections, and add to this The SS Mission to Tibet in 1938.
The rule of thumb, if the West embraces something, it’s always has a demonic inhumane flip-side.
The human side faces the West, the demonic side is turned towards the rest of the world.
That’s why people in Europe and the North America cannot understand why we reject their “values.”
It’s because we see and know the other side of those “values.”
Yes I found this very informative and completely changed how I saw these Buddhists, the Dalai llama (CIA) and what really life under Buddhist rule in Tibet was like.
An eye opener as they say –
Life under Buddhist rule in Tibet –
“Daily violence in old Tibet was aimed at the masses of people. Each master punished “his” serfs, and organized armed gangs to enforce his rule. Squads of monks brutalized the people. They were called “Iron Bars” because of the big metal rods they carried to batter people.
It was a crime to “step out of your place”like hunting fish or wild sheep that the lamaist declared were “sacred.” It was even a crime for a serf to appeal his master’s decisions to some other authority. When serfs ran away, the masters’ gangs went to hunt them down. Each estate had its own dungeons and torture chambers. Pepper was forced under the eyelids. Spikes were forced under the fingernails. Serfs had their legs connected by short chains and were released to wander hobbled for the rest of their lives.
Grunfeld writes: “Buddhist belief precludes the taking of life, so that whipping a person to the edge of death and then releasing him to die elsewhere allowed Tibetan officials to justify the death as ‘an act of God.’ Other brutal forms of punishment included the cutting off of hands at the wrists, using red-hot irons to gouge out eyes; hanging by the thumbs; and crippling the offender, sewing him into a bag, and throwing the bag in the river.”
http://www.ascertainthetruth.com/att/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=717:the-true-face-of-the-dalai-lama&catid=61:where-religions-differ&Itemid=103
Sorry this link is just PRC propaganda. Invaders trying to rewrite history. (The punishments listed are actually from the Imperial Chinese penal code). Tibetan peasants were not serfs or slaves and they had an appeal to either a secular or a religious court. The ‘iron bars’ were actually wooden and these monks were called ‘dab-dob’.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dob-dob
Wikipedia? Truthful? Disagree there my friend.
The lengthy article very well worth reading and written by a Tibetan historian with no connection to the PRC describes in detail the horrendous conditions the serfs endured under the unbelievably cruel rule of the Buddhist monks.
He is neither pro nor anti PRC but lists the many benefits China introduced like proper food, medicine, housing, roads, schools, freedom from slavery and in short – civilisation.
This was a slave based feudal system before then with a punitive system based on the ruling monks’ fondness for removing peoples eyes, tongues and limbs on an extremely casual and routine basis.
China stopped that.
Webster Tarpley described Buddhist Tibet as hell on Earth where social reform was totally impossible. You can read how Chinese troops were given very specific instructions on how to treat the Tibetans and show kindness to a poor, half starved nation who could not believe that the PLA soldiers regarded them as equals.
The Dalai Llama (in an RT video with Tarpley embedded in the article) is described as a product of Alan Dulles and 100% CIA who has received millions of dollars from the US taxpayer annually as does his brother.
The purpose of the Dalai Llama was to assist the CIA, who were shipping weapons into Tibet, with creating insurrection in Tibet against the Chinese government.
Unfortunately for him the now liberated people of Tibet refused to support his mad CIA funded schemes and he had to flee the country.
Whilst Tibet is part of the PRC the Chinese government have always been tolerant of their customs and personal religious beliefs.
What they will not tolerate is subversion and insurrection fomented by the CIA and it’s front man, the Dalai Llama who is no more a pacifist than George Bush – who in 2007 gave him the “medal of freedom” Now why would Bush have done that? For services rendered?
The sources for the article are two American journalist investigators and one European historian. No PRC involvement at all.
It seems that you have some knowledge of the spiritual role played by the Dalai Lama in world politics. The Dalai Lama is a practitioner of Tantric Buddhism. To quote from “The Shadow of the Dalai Lama” by Victor and Victoria Trimondi:
“The fourth and final phase of Buddhism entered the world stage in the third century C.E. at the earliest. It is known as Tantrayana, Vajrayana or Mantrayana: the “Tantra Vehicle”, the “Diamond Path” or the “Way of the Magic Formulas”. The teachings of Vajrayana are recorded in the holy writings, known as tantras. These are secret occult doctrines, which — according to legend — had already been composed by Buddha Shakyamuni, but the time was not deemed ripe for them to be revealed to the believers until a thousand years after his death.”
In other words these are esoteric or occult teachings and practices and not mainstream Buddhism. To my mind they resemble the Gnostic teachings of Christianity and the Sabbatean beliefs within Judaism as embraced by inter alia the Rothschilds. No doubt there are similar teachings and practices within other religions and they all share a common belief in the necessity of individuals reaching divinity by the exercise of their own will and strength, in cooperation with certain spiritual powers and principalities. They are also taught and practised within a plethora of secret societies to which, I believe, all the present political rulers of the West, in critical positions, belong.
This is then the foundation of what we see transpiring in the world today and is the shared objective of those in power, especially in the West, to achieve world domination and to establish a hierarchy with those who are adepts of this “Luciferian” religion at the pinnacle of power. It is my belief that the Dalai Lama is the de facto human spiritual leader of these forces.
Scott,
what about Dalai Lama Roosevelt’s connection? What OSS (CIA predecessor) did in Tibet nack in 1942? See here: https://prologue.blogs.archives.gov/2011/02/08/the-oss-and-the-dalai-lama/
And why count Tolstoy has to go there and meet Dalai Lama (barely 7 years old at that time) ?
Ok, so who are the bad guys here? The faked IS/Soros thugs or the blood-thirsty Buddhist monks who skin people for fun? I don’t quite get it, both sides seem to be bad according to the article. So which one would you support and why?
Just confused here.
ddd
It’s a fair question.
My answer is that they are all the same. They are groups that have been created to destabilize the country. All of them, and the CIA trained Jihadis, and the fake “human rights” Soros crowd and the blood thirsty militant monks.
“So which one would you support and why?”
I support the legitimate government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
It goes without saying that Russia supports the legitimate government of Myanmar. The problem is Kadyrov and the Muslims in Russia who die of concern for their ‘brothers in Myanmar’ and protest against Russia’s cooperation with the legitimate government of Myanmar.
“On his page in Instagram, the Chechen leader posted a live video in which he commented on the events in Myanmar, the “Dozhd” (Rain) TV Channel reports.
On the video, Ramzan Kadyrov called the events in Myanmar “the genocide of Muslims” and reported getting “a lot of letters” asking him to “send troops” to the country.
According to Ramzan Kadyrov, if he could he would “strike with a nuclear weapon” the people who “kill children, women, and old people.”
The leader of Chechnya has called the organizers of the tragic events in Myanmar “shaitans” (devils). He has noted if Russia supports them, then he will oppose the position of Russia”.
@http://www.mfs-theothernews.com/2017/09/kadyrov-on-events-in-myanmar-if-he.html
Hi, WizOz
Just want you to know that the “Dozhd” (Rain) TV Channel is banned in Russia. This rain is toxic
Don’t trust anything they publish.
I am going to translate Kadyrov’s exact words. This way we all would have something for a reference.
But, President Putin says that “there is no ‘Fronde’ on the part of the leader of Chechnya.”
Please do Scott.
I guess President Putin has pulled a bit Kadyrov’s ears.
“Just recently Dalai Lama opened his ugly mouth and squawked that his dream was to “see NATO headquarter to be moved to Moscow.”
When did he say that Scott?
N
“When did he say that Scott?”
On August 16, 2017 Dalai Lama said that his dream was to “see NATO headquarter to be moved to Moscow.”
he doesn’t like the Russian psychology and thinks that by installing the NATO’s headquoter in Moscow, NATO will change the psychology of Russians..
https://regnum.ru/news/2310602.html

http://ren.tv/novosti/2017-08-16/dalay-lama-priznalsya-chto-mechtaet-o-shtab-kvartire-nato-v-moskve
I have a counter proposal. Let’s install the Russia’s Ministry of Defense headquoter in Washington, London and Brussels and start changing their psychology.
Simultaneously, let’s install this pruney toad in some refugee camp and make him work for the first time in his life.
Let’s start changing his psychology.
The Dalai Lama is a monk, so instead of him having a sinister anti-Russian geopolitical motive, isn’t it more likely that he doesn’t know much about worldly affairs. He probably suggested moving NATO to Moscow simply so that the US and Russia could be closer and more friendly.
In today’s world it is more likely the Dalai Lama is a Western spook.
F
It’s been long established the current dally lhama was intimate with the cia from his early days on.
Tibet, the Dali Lama, and the Lamaism branch of Budhism have zero to do with Myanmar.
You’re last two comments have been mind blowing. Your naivety is dizzying. Wikipedia? The Dalai lama not worldly. He is a very astute operator. Don’t be fooled by his wardrobe or his Grandad like geniality
Sorry that’s incorrect. He is genial and unworldly, and he is definitely not a CIA asset. (I used to work for the Tibetan government-in-exile.)
I agree with you Hajduk.
From the Regnum article posted by Scott, Yandex translation, a quote from the article:
~~
When we see how easily color revolutions have worked by exploiting good people, we should marvel at how well bad people can manipulate good people. We should not be surprised that the Tibetan people who lost their country to the Chinese occupiers have grasped at every straw to survive and regain their sovereignty. This may well make them dupes, but it hardly makes them “assets”.
We should also understand that many people in the world still believe in the illusion of the US as a land of freedom and principle – and this was vastly more true back in the days when Tibet was invaded and its leaders fled.
One can see how easily the US culture has been able to sympathize with the Tibetans, especially since the US itself contains a multitude of good people, and many sincere Buddhists who have learned from Tibetan teachers. Under cover of this sympathy, the government and covert actors of the US have been able to work much mischief in their secret war on China.
To Grieved,
You should really read this about the Tibetan myth:
http://www.swans.com/library/art9/mparen01.html
RR – thank you for this link.
I love Michael Parenti and consider him one of the great truth-tellers. But I have resisted reading this particular lecture for a long time. Now, I will read it.
As a western practitioner of Buddhism – and largely Tibetan practice – I will do what I can to present a valuable picture of the matter of Tibet, and of Tibetan Buddhist practice. Maybe in an open thread in the future.
Tibet no more belonged to China than Palestine belonged to Israel. No amount of internal disgrace can justify this conquest.
And yet, here we are. The story of Tibet is nuanced, and of its monastic accomplishments, even more so.
Thanks again.
Grieved, I often admire your posts for their clarity and insight, here and elsewhere. Indeed, I often make a special point of reading them thoroughly. So, I was surprised to see this from you:
“Tibet no more belonged to China than Palestine belonged to Israel. No amount of internal disgrace can justify this conquest.”
Um, the Chinese & Tibetan ruling houses had had close relations since the 7th century when Princess Wen Cheng was married to the King of Tubo (her statues are still to be seen in places) and Tibet was formally incorporated (at the request of Cyamcan, Tibet’s religious leader) into the Chinese Empire in the 13th century. The first Grand Lama was created and installed around that time by the Yuan Emperor. It remained a fully incorporated territory of the Empire until the British tried to incorporate it into their Indian holdings during China’s 1911 revolution.
During those 700 years, it was administrated by the central Imperial government in all respects commensurate with Imperial practice. So, China’s presence in Tibet predates the Khazar intrusion into Palestine by at least 700 yrs, and it “lost Tibet” under extenuating circumstances of some 40 yrs duration, when China was a chaos of warring parties. Even so, the Brits didn’t succeed, and not even Britain recognized Tibet as a sovereign country during that time. Historically, Tibet is more a part of China than Crimea is of Russia.
Though I have minimal experience in Tibet, I’ve visited countless temples, and encountered Buddhists all over China & Taiwan, and minimally in Japan. The romanticized Western vision of Buddhism is, well, romanticized.
Though I still view Buddhism, as Nietzsche did, as the only intellectually honest religion, my encounters with “boots on the ground” reality informed me that its practice fell far short of “honest”.
“In theory, theory and practice are the same, but in practice, they’re not.”
I think this statement from you kind of makes me question who you are?
“He is genial and unworldly, and he is definitely not a CIA asset. (I used to work for the Tibetan government-in-exile.)”
“Unworldly” – give me a break – this is a man who has been travelling the western world and being a “celebrity” (even on cooking shows) – for many, many years. And you used to work for his government in exile – hmm that says a lot too – biased much?
Just to add from another comment of yours – if Russia has banned him it will be for a very good reason – not because it is appeasing its friend (China)….the Russian Government must have a lot of background info on him or he must of said or done some serious things in the past to warrant a ban.
There is various media on this. Sputnik is perhaps not the best but gives a starting point to look at the statement.
https://sputniknews.com/world/201708161056508302-dalai-lama-nato-moscow/
Thanks Scott for the piece. This is a whole world that I know very little about. I will ask a politically incorrect question . politically incorrect from all perspectives but perhaps existential. Is there any destabilization in today’s world that does not have the words ‘Muslim’ or ‘Soros’ connected with it?
For Westerners that is taken aback by what we believe is a peaceful bunch, i.e., Buddhist, we need some education methinks.
I thought the Rohingya were a Turkmen isolate.
No, they are Bengalis brought initially by the British colonial administration augmented by a wave of illegal immigrants from Bengal, who even before the independence of Burma started to militate (arms in hand – “some Rohingya elders who supported a jihad movement, founded the Mujahid party in northern Arakan in 1947”) for their integration in what was then East Pakistan, today’s Bangladesh. The movement lost its impetus in the late 50s- early 60s.
But in the 1970s Rohingya Islamist movements began to re- emerge from remnants of the mujahideen. Since then an ongoing insurgency (linked with the various jihadi organizations) in northern Rakhine State plagued Myamnar.
In 1998, the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation merged with the Arakan Rohingya Islamic Front and formed the Arakan Rohingya National Organisation (ARNO), operating in-exile in Cox’s Bazaar (Bangladesh). The Rohingya National Army was established as its armed wing.
As can be seen, there is more to the ‘plight’ of the Rohingya than meet our half-closed eyes. And that’s why the alignment of Kadyrov with open jihadism is worrying. He has noted if Russia supports the ‘shaitans’, then he will oppose the position of Russia. Karlin is right.
‘Needless to say that the Russian Buddhists don’t practice any of these.’
Kalmyks, Buryats, and Tuvans are Gelugpa Buddhists, which means HH Dalai Lama is their leader. Russian Buddhists would certainly consider parts of this article to be very offensive and ill-informed.
I wonder what the Myanmar government will take as payment from China? US dollars? Unlikely. No they will probably take the Yuan-Gold system China is setting up. Yet another bulls eye on their country. The nice thing is they are close enough and important enough to both China and Russia that help is nearby when (not if) it is needed.
I wish them well and hope they avoid the pitfalls of socialism like Venezuela.
Scott – just started reading – and wanted you to know – Cynthia McKinney has been onto the Soros aspect of the Myanmar crisis since the very start –
Soros and Myanmar:
http://asiasociety.org/blog/asia/george-soros-myanmar-long-term-investment-paid
“Philanthropist and investor George Soros warned Thursday that ethnic tensions and a lack of tolerance threaten economic and political progress in Myanmar, a country to which Soros has devoted more than two decades of attention and philanthropy. “Ethnic and religious tensions … are the most disturbing part of the process of reform in Myanmar,” Soros said at Asia Society in New York. Tolerance towards marginalized groups such as the Rohingya Muslims, he added, “may determine the legacy of (President) Thein Sein.”
Overall Soros praised Myanmar for its early steps toward democracy and economic reform. He called his own efforts in that country — long known as Burma — as “a longer-term investment that paid off … I don’t think I ever had a financial investment as long-term as that.”
Well, that certainly establishes that Soros has interests in Myanmar.
But doesn’t (for me) clarify what types of interests.
Is Soros automatically on the wrong side every time?
It sounds like in this case he is supporting the govt.
But also setting up a scenario for “intervention” to come to the aid of the Rohingyas.
Putatively.
Whenever I see the word “reform” I get a bad feeling . . .
Katherine
More from the Asia Society talk:
“As the Soviet empire unraveled, “I moved in and picked up the pieces,” Soros said with a smile. “The ‘Soros Empire’ replaced the Soviet Empire.” He singled out Poland and the Baltic nations as success stories, and warned that a “resurgent Russia” was threatening not only reforms in the former Soviet Union but also the power and influence of the European Union. He chastised Russian President Vladimir Putin for his actions in Ukraine and his stranglehold on public opinion. “Putin won’t change,” Soros said. “He’s now a prisoner of the genie he allowed to get out of the bottle.”
Soros was slightly more optimistic about prospects for change in China. Schell, Arthur Ross Director of Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations, asked about possibility of greater openness in China, to which Soros said, “China is at a crossroads.” A more open civil society in China, he said, would likely depend on the success of President Xi Jinping’s economic reforms. Asked whether his organization was working in China today, Soros was blunt: “We would be happy to be engaged in China, but we are not welcome.””
I am kind of surprised that Orville Schell is mixed up with Soros.
Or, seems to be on the same page as Soros.
The sad truth is that very few people question Soros or his aims.
Even when his massive ego is on display, as here:
“I moved in and picked up the pieces,” Soros said with a smile.
Excuse me while I upchuck.
He is stated that he is a behind-the-scenes string puller, aka, part of the Deep State.
Going into other countries and fiddling with their political DNA.
And he [acts] surprised the China doesn’t want him!
These Asia sycophants who doubtless call themselves democrats small d sit there tranquilly, not noticing anything wrong, while Soros describes his basically subversive activities.
“The hour-long conversation covered much of the globe (Sri Lanka is “a promising opportunity”; Haiti “moving from bad to worse”) and touched on finance, philanthropy, and even philosophy. Moving into promising regions, said Soros, was like observing a beautiful object, “the object of one’s desire,” only to be disappointed by the reality that follows.
“The collapse of a closed society,” he said, “doesn’t always result in an open society.” And in a final exchange that assessed his life’s work, Soros said he viewed the role of civil society and organizations like his as “holding governments accountable. This is a mission that will not end in my lifetime.”
Who the hell is he to appoint himself the judge and jury of other countries’ governments? In his mouth, “civil society” means: Not the voters. Not the citizens.
It means self-appointed entities.
I have hated Soros for a long time, but reading this is like a refresher course on what is wrong with Soros.
Has Putin thrown out all Soros-related NGOs? I certainly hope so.
Katherine
So Soros is funding nasty Buddhists and nasty Isis-type Muslims to wreak havoc upon the hapless Rohingya? because of a pipeline and All of a sudden? My sources in Thailand and Vietnam say this is a gross simplification of what is going on if that is indeed what you are implying–sometimes it is hard to sort it out.
The Rohingya and many added recent Muslim immigrants may be only 5% of the population of all of Myanmar but they are much more of a % when concentrated in the areas of N. Myanmar so that statistic ,like many statistics, has little bearing on the situation there. And like in Europe they have been streaming into the area en masse in the past few years. Actually, forcibly deporting them back to place of origin is an act of compassion considering the other alternative.
Fact: when Islam invaded N. India it slaughtered Buddhist monks and destroyed the monasteries there—Buddhism in effect disappeared from the region. The Buddhists in SE Asia have not forgotten this historical lesson given by a rather aggressive, proselytizing forms of this religion.
Buddhist monks are not as you describe ( perhaps in a feudalistic country like Tibet, but not in either Thailand or Vietnam—in fact my friends who live there laughed at your description of killer monks) As for a cult of monks running around N. Myanmar wreaking havoc and shaking down the population-I do not know. Burmese Monks have often stirred the pot in recent politics there even in the bigger cities and on other issues–in fact the Dalai Lama even found the time to chide them a bit on their violent behavior in 2012. But as we know he speaks for the CIA so how much of what he says below can even be accepted as true?
http://abcnews.go.com/International/dalai-lama-pleads-myanmar-monks-end-violence-amid/story?id=19013148
But one thing is clear—there will be no Islamic invasion under any pretext at all of the culture of Myanmar. period. The army, trained by Russia or not trained by Russia, will see to that. If Kadyrov wants to send some Sufis with supplies to mellow out the Waahabi baby soul types, well, more power to him. It will doubtlessly lead to a lot fewer dead Muslims.
The problem with Kadyrov is that it is a proof how easy is to inflame the unstable Muslims and how risky is the business of coddling them. The later bomb scare in Russia is additional proof.
“The problem with Kadyrov is that it is a proof how easy is to inflame the unstable Muslims”
The problem with Islamophobes is that they invariably promote israeli prejudice and their “class of civilizations” psywar, whether they consciously realise it or not. Exactly like nazis, white supremacists and other fascists who condemn whole people’s as if they are all the same.
Well said vot tak! I trust that WizOz, who puts up the facade of being a man/woman of Christ, truly can reform to become a man/woman of Christ and awaken to the warped “chosenness” and bigoted mentality embedded with him/her.
I wonder what’s ‘a man/women of Christ’ in your opinion?
That’s right Vot Tak, when you don’t have cogent rebuttal you stoop to a direct personal attack on the individual you’re debating (ad hominem, against moderation rules): similar to crying out “Racist!” no matter truthful the argument the “racist” or “anti-semite” or “sovereignist” or “hetrosexual” might be making.
Ironically you too been a victim of this kind of cheap shot when you’ve made sound arguments against the LGBT mafia and their cultural imposition or cultural jihad on traditional values and cultures. I do recall you being called a homophobe just because you stated the truth that flies in the face of the debauch elites war on normalcy.
I don’t agree with WizOz many times (debated him with facts unrelentingly, when I saw a lack of evidence to his postings), but I’ve defended him here because he’s bringing real facts to the table. Really you should address his arguments and not dismiss them by labeling him am islamophobe, just as you have been dismissed as a homophobe (in the past).
Can we not learn that the value of the saker sight is that it is a place of [relative] free thought and a zone free of political correctness?
Thank you Anon (I have no recollection of any debate with ‘you’).
OTOH, it is really disturbing to see how easily some valuable commentators fall for the Soros propaganda. It is probably because they cannot escape a black and white vision of the world.
What Israel Shamir has aptly called S.W.A.R.M. has now arrived.
teranam13:
Actually, forcibly deporting them back to place of origin is an act of compassion considering the other alternative.
Are people all over the world out of their mind nowadays?!? Either many people commenting in forums – this site included – are some secret service operatives trying to stir unrest, Islamophobes or simply victims of years of Western MSM brainwashing. vok tak makes an excellent point – the comment should be in bold letters.
Excuse me for the misspelling:
vok tak should be vot tak
As usual, nobody mentions the zionazis. Amazing when one thinks about it, considering how prominently soros’, the zionazi wing of the regime changers, is featured in the discussion.
Israel Reportedly Arming Myanmar Amid Ongoing Rohingya Crackdown
https://sputniknews.com/asia/201709071057180509-myanmar-arms-sales/
“According to the Middle East Eye news outlet, Israel is adding fuel to the violent Rohingya crisis in Myanmar by selling arms to the government. The report comes as the conflict which has already seen hundreds dead and hundreds of thousands displaced is gaining momentum.
According to human rights groups and Myanmar officials, the Jewish state has supplied over 100 tanks, motorboats and other weapons used by Myanmar’s military against the Rohingya Muslims.
Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported on Wednesday that arms deals between Tel Aviv and Yangon were in full swing despite UN and EU embargoes on the sale of arms to Myanmar.
Meanwhile, Israel’s High Court of Justice is going to consider a petition by activists urging the government to halt all arms exports to Myanmar.
The petition was submitted in January, after a delegation of Israeli officials visited Yangon to negotiate arms shipments to Myanmar.”
The israelis are making money off the Myanmar government, while israel’s “Islamist terrorists” attack the government. The israelis ran the same strategy during the Sri Lankan civil war, training and supplying both the government and the Tamil rebels back in the 1980s.
I have a very strong suspicion that this Kadyrov vs the Russian government meme over Myanmar is the usual israeloamerican psywar to sow division among their enemies where none exists. Take a look at this israeloamerican disinfo piece:
Publicly Out Of Step With Kremlin, Chechnya’s Kadyrov Rallies Around Rohingya Plight
https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-chechnya-kadyrov-rallies-for-rohingya-illustrate-clout/28716244.html
Kadyrov himself has walked right into this so called plot by his own actions
Who called the unsanctioned march ?
Who made the video rallying the muslims against the Russian govt policy in Myanmar ?
Kadyrov did all this himself and proved himself to be a useful stooge for the west
He does not deserve to be defended he shows no real understanding of the politics in that region
Just stirred up emotion
What he has done is wrong and dangerous and naive
Actually, after reading the comments by Laika von old Monkshusen, WizOz and James Lake, my suspicion that this promotion of a Kadyrov vs Russian government over Myanmar was bog standard israeloamerican divisive disinfo is no longer a suspicion, but a certaincy. Kadyrov has been a major thorn to the zionazis and they try to smear him all the time.
The target audience of this psywar is not Russia, btw, who outside of the zionazi corrupted 5th column tossers, know it is nonsense, but westerners in the zionazi colonies who, due to their indoctrination from birth, will likely be unaware the extent they are being played.
vot tak
Excellent comments. Your explanation of the ongoing events seems to be the most plausible.
The only aspect in which is disagree is the target audience. If, for example, Russia Insider is read by Westerners and Russians alike, then Russians are targeted by propaganda as well. Scott provided an interesting link above: http://russia-insider.com/en/politics/chechnyas-ramzan-kadyrov-stuns-moscow-anti-buddhist-protest/ri20839. With this kind of story Russia Insider loses a lot of credibility – at least from my point of view.
A couple of points I’ll make. First the Rohingya people aren’t “new” immigrants to Myanmar (Burma) .The region they live in only became a part of Myanmar/Burma in the late 1700’s when they conquered the area. And the region was connected to areas now in Bangladesh for centuries.Forming at times a single state. Records of Muslims there date back many centuries. Over those centuries there has been immigration from what was called then all “India”.Because the region was underpopulated when the British gained it in the 1820’s (also through conquest) the immigration got much larger. The trouble started because Myanmar/ Burma once they got independence refused to accept that those people should have citizenship. Exactly the way the Baltic States did with their Russian residents after the USSR breakup. The difference being they treated them much worse than the Baltic’s do the Russian speaking people in those states. That is the crux of the problem. Everything else flows from that oppression.
And second,it appears from that map that the gas/oil pipeline, could/should, be used for more than the energy supplies from that field off the coast there. It could/should, be developed as a pipeline to import much of the oil/gas from the Middle East imported by China.Which would cut the need for tankers to go through the Malacca Straits and to China.Which would solve the problem of the US being able to block the straits. And also the sailing time needed for the shipments. I wonder if the Chinese have thought about that. That combined with the Russian pipelines being built. And the Chinese oil and gas home supply, would leave the US with few ways to threaten China’s energy lifelines.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_people
No Bob,
WizOz’s summary is far more accurate than the version you put out based on Wikipedia and other conventional narratives. Burma was part of British India, but it was not Indian and both Indians and the Burmese majority agree on this. The rohingyas that squatted into the Burmese kingdoms were never considered subjects of that nation. And yes the main ethnic group in Myanmar are xenophobic but, in the Rohingya context, one can understand why.
History isn’t a one or so century affair. Yes Burma was considered a part of British India for a time. But that region has a history of thousands of years before then. Burma was only a Kingdom of part of the area of Myanmar/Burma. That grew bigger and and smaller depending on the historical period. Burma didn’t gain control of the Rakhine area until the 1780’s. The British gained the area from them in the 1820’s. So that is less than 50 years as part of Burma’s Kingdom before the British took it.And then later took over the rest of Burma. And combined the areas together as “Burma”.There seems to be an idea that in “every” dispute involving Muslims, the Muslims must “always” be wrong. That is BS,the world is much more complicated than that. Muslims can be bad,and good, oppressors, and oppressed. Just as any other people can.Our Western “need” for black and white, good and evil, will be the death of us all. The world just isn’t like that. Each dispute stands alone on its on merits.
Again Bob,
ignoring the obvious to make everyone fit a theoretical idea that everyones behavior is the same and are equally guilty is the exact disease the liberal socialist Salafist coddling west suffers from. It’s a form of political correctness that destroys the truth. Sorry to burst the politically correct bubble, but Orthodox Christians do not commit acts of terror and murder all over the world primarily targeting all non-orthodox, but Sunni Muslims do (Salafist or Wahabist, mainly but not always). Notice that Shia don’t. That’s because the theological underpinnings to do this are not in Orthodox Christainity, but they do exist in Islam’s Hadith and Wahabist or Salafist doctrine. Even Arab Muslim intellectuals who attend mosque admit this (because they have the courage to tell the truth). A great example was the soul searching by the editors of gulf Arab newspapers/media after the Beslan massacre. It shocked them so much to see -live- Muslims shooting Russian school girls in the back they did something very healthy: they looked at their own religious community with a critical eye and stated: “while not all Muslim are terrorists we have to face the facts that most if not all terrorists today are Muslim and we need to get to causes in our Ummah as to why.” I’m paraphrasing but it was the gist of it.
From the consensus of the comments here it seems that majority of people here have not been bamboozled into thinking that the poor Rohingya are the victims. You are not as cognizant of the facts as the Bangladeshis themselves, whose government holds that it is Rohingya terrorists that are responsible for triggering this crisis by butchering Myanmar policemen. Rohingya refugees are treated with hostility in Bangladesh by local (Muslim Bangladeshis) because many are afraid of the Islamists that might be hiding amongst them. You see the local Muslims in Bangladesh know the reality of rohingyas better than you and theoretical documents. They have ground level bad experiences with the Rohingyas. It has required an appeal by the Bangladesh PM, Sheikh Hasina, this weekend to local Bangladeshis to stop attacks on Rohingya refugees since the women and children are innocent victims. The PM also made it clear that this mess was caused by Rohingya violence and terrorism against the Myanmar police.
You are again putting today’s Islamophobia into the picture. I have known about the mistreatment of the Rohingya long before ISIS and other Islamic terrorist gangs started up. That isn’t anything new.Only that we in the West never heard of it until lately. As for the Bangladeshis, who are poor and weak and want nothing to do with refugees flooding into their country. What do you think their statements are worth, nothing actually. I’m somewhat pro-Shia (under current circumstances),and pro-Palestinian,Yemeni,Iraqi,Syrian,and Hezbollah, but not because they “are,or are not Muslim” . But because they are more the oppressed instead of the oppressor.I take people on an individual cause basis, their religion means nothing to me.There are countless cases of Christians terrorizing others. Many times one group of Christians against another. And in those cases I follow the same rule, judge the case on an individual basis.I don’t have “pets” and so then all the others I “need” to condemn. I side with,or side against ,the one I think is right “at that time” regardless of religion, or race for that matter. You should try that some time, instead of being dogmatically anti-Muslim.It would give you a better understanding of different problems in the world.
Bob1
do realize what you wrote when wrote:
“As for the Bangladeshis, who are poor and weak and want nothing to do with refugees flooding into their country.”
How would know what Bangladeshis want? Are you Bangladeshi? Do you you have some special read of their national mood?
And the amazingly arrogant and dismissive statement:
What do you think their statements are worth, nothing actually.
Yes I’m sure you a layperson who relies on Wikipedia and pedantic reprints know more about what is going on in Bangladesh’s backyard than the Bangladesh Prime Minister, her intelligence apparatus, their humint experience and military. I guess from your patronizing statement Bangladesh people’s statements are “worthless” (is that your argument when you can’t deal with the truth or someone contradicting your belief system?
Ok, the Rakhine state was founded in 3325 BC (if you believe the local legends of the native population of Rakhine)! It lasted till 1784AD, being a Buddhist Kingdom all the time, when it was conquered by another Buddhist Kingdom! The native population of Rakhine are not the Rohigya. In 1974, the socialist government under General Ne Win constituted Rakhine State giving at least nominal acknowledgment of the regional majority of the Rakhine people.
What is left out of the discussion is the fact that the Muslim Rohingya of today engaged in jihad against the state of Burma since 1948!
In the early 1990s, the military camps of the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) were located in the Cox’s Bazar District in southern Bangladesh wherefrom they launched operations in Burma. In other words external aggression. Fighters of RSO were trained in Afghanistan.
There is no doubt that the recent recrudescence of jihad is linked to the tilting of Myanmar towards China and Russia.
The target audience of this psywar is not Russia, btw, who outside of the zionazi corrupted 5th column tossers, know it is nonsense, but westerners in the zionazi colonies who, due to their indoctrination from birth, will likely be unaware the extent they are being played.
The Kingdom of Arakan was closer to India and it did have territory in present day Chittagong. It may have had more Muslim merchants and administrators than the rest of present day Burma, but it was still 98% Buddhist. The ‘Indian Burmese’ who were settled by the British changed the demographics to about 10% Muslim in Rakhine State. They all received full Burmese citizenship in 1948.
The current situation of 98% Bengali speakers in Northern Rakhine state is not caused by these Burmese Muslims having lots of children, it is caused by illegal immigration from Bangladesh since 1948. There are estimated to be around twenty million Bangladeshi economic migrants in India, which is why the Indians built their 3400km barrier fence.
Really?
“According to an article on the “Burma Empire” published by the British Francis Buchanan-Hamilton in 1799, “the Mohammedans, who have long settled in Arakan”, “call themselves Rooinga, or natives of Arakan”
Notice the date 1799.
“The British census of 1872 reported 58,255 Muslims in Akyab District. By 1911, the Muslim population had increased to 178,647.”
Again notice the dates. Long before 1948.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_people
Rakhine and Rohingya are not the same. Their languages are different. Rakhine language belongs to the Tibeto-Burmese group, whereas Rohingya language to the Bengal-Assamese group of Indo-Aryan languages.I wonder whether the confusion is just due to ignorance or is deliberate to deceive people.
The Rakhine also aren’t Muslim (mostly). So the British reports and census figures I showed which say “Muslims” aren’t talking about them. Rakhine State is around 52.2 Buddhist and 42.7% Muslim. According to surveys if the people that have fled the violence were included the state would be 62.7% Muslim. As to your question at the end. I think both, depending on the person. I’m not sure about you yet in that question. In the first are people that don’t read history much. And they are easily fooled by those in the second group with an agenda. In this case that agenda is to spread Islamophobia by tarring an oppressed people as terrorists because they are Muslim.Certainly there are some terrorists among them.Mostly caused from decades of racial persecution (as much racial as religious I think) that radicalized numbers of them. But that takes nothing away from the fact the Rohingya in Myanmar are an oppressed minority.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakhine_State
The Mohammedans long settled in the merchant kingdom of Arakan were Persians, Arabs and Chinese. Rohingya is the name of Arakan in the Bengali language. All those mentioned in British census records were granted full citizenship in 1948. The streets of Northern Rakhine State today are full of people who crossed into Myanmar of their own volition, after independence from Britain. They do not have citizenship or any claim to residency, and in almost all cases they are unable to speak a single word of Burmese.
Really?
“Due to Arakan’s proximity to Bengal, it is relatively more influenced by Indian culture than other parts of Burma and Southeast Asia. Buddhism and Hinduism spread to Arakan from ancient Bengal. Arakan and the southeastern part of Bengal (now Chittagong Division in Bangladesh) were often ruled by the same dynasties, including the Chandra dynasty and kings of Mrauk U. Muslim settlements have existed for a long time in Arakan. Arab missionaries preaching Islam frequented the northeastern coast of the Bay of Bengal since the 9th century. Later, Indian Muslim kingdoms, such as the Bengal Sultanate and the Mughal Empire, had alliances and wars with Arakan. The intertwined history resulted in a substantial settlement by Indo-Aryans in Arakan. The royal court of Arakan was influenced by and itself patronized Indian fashion, poetry and currency. During British rule, Indian Muslims in Arakan were the second largest community after Buddhist Rakhines.”
And yes they got citizenship in 1948 But things changed:
“The 1962 Burmese coup d’état ended the country’s Westminster-style political system. The 1982 Burmese citizenship law stripped most of the Rohingyas of their stake in citizenship.”
” As of 2017, Burma does not have a single Rohingya MP and the Rohingya population have no voting rights.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_people
Well said Hadjuk.
Your account of the situation is from somebody who actually knows what he’s taking about because you’ve actually been involved directly with that region and not a well intentioned person pedantically assuming written material on Wikipedia or hearsay from a lay 19th century traveller to the region, is the gospel truth.
I would also like to ask why Kadyrov did not call a march about Yemen where muslims are being bombed – if he is showing humanitarian concern with this foundation ?
Why this issue?
Who is he aligned with?
There are many questions about his conduct and that should not be ignored just because people may like him
The foundation he runs needs to be investigated as to where the money comes from – follow the money
Great article Scott. Mind you, the title should be ‘Myanmar for dummies’, as I was not much familiar with events in Myanmar, like many others in here, I assume. Thank you.
This story seems complex and dangerous as it could build a wedge between ethnies and religions in Russia, put a stress to the link between Iran and Russia and finaly bring the destruction of the Myanmar country like what happened in Syria.
It looks like that with their emotional reactions , Iran and Chechnya might have fall in a trap laid by the Empire of Chaos: a trap whose objective was to hurt China but actually is killing two birds at the same time by raising the ire of Chechnya and Iran.
Aung San Suu Kyi loks to be a trojan horse good at triggering sectarism in her country. She probably deserves her Nobel price as much as Obama.
@Iran and Chechnya might have fall in a trap laid by the Empire of Chaos
The Empire of Chaos knows very well what people will fall into the trap and how to push them towards it.
In Buddhism monks and nuns are revered as symbolic representatives of Lord Buddha, so it is highly offensive to Buddhists, not to mention inaccurate, to describe them as torturers, child-slavers, militant killers and so forth. Of course many monks fall short of the standards required but never to the extent of bearing arms or committing such crimes.
So I must protest the section of the above article that defames Buddhist monks and nuns.
As for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, he is definitely not a CIA asset. The CIA did have a short lived insurgency based in Mustang but His Holiness was not involved.
The Dalai Lama is a leader of the Gelugpa Buddhist sect, one of the four traditional religions of Russia, and its most revered monk. So defaming His Holiness insults the faith of Kalmyks, Buryats and Tuvans. In this way, the author’s ill informed comments actually aid anti-Russian propaganda and increase mistrust and hostility between Russian minorities.
Hajduk
“As for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, he is definitely not a CIA asset.”
This Dalai Lama calls for NATO, an international military organization that gears up for a war with Russia and includes 29 members plus many non-member states to come and to set up a shop in Moscow. He knows that those are countries that had attacked and invaded Russia multiple times over the last 1000 years.
He said that Russia might become a great nation because it has resources and territory. Russia is, always has been and always will be a great Christian nation because of its people, not because of its mineral resources.
He calls to have a dialogue with ISIS and to respect their opinion. Why would we have a dialogue with militant groups lead by military specialists from CIA and Mossad and armed by Pentagon? The Western proxy army that advances interests of Israel? Why would be need a dialogue with those who kill Christians and Muslims? Those who have killed thousands of Russian people and hundreds of Russian children?
This Dalai Lama is a Western intelligence asset that works against Russia and that’s why he is banned from entering Russia and he is banned from entering China.
He is a travesty and disgrace.
Next Dalai Lama has to come from Russia, or the next one will be banned from Russia, also.
The Dalai Lama is banned from entering Russia to please Russia’s new friend China. Your assumption is that everyone is as immersed as you in geopolitics and strategic affairs. ‘He knows that’ is an assumption. Another explanation is that he has no idea at all. The old gentleman still listens to the BBC World Service every day. He is also famous for his naive clangers like telling Shoko Asahara (Aum Shinrikyo) that the future of Japanese Buddhism lay in his hands. Most Tibetan lamas of his generation are antiquated and unworldly to a quite extraordinary extent. For my part, I hope that His Holiness is quickly granted a visa to visit Russia as this is the sincere wish of millions of Russian Buddhists. Please back up this statement with facts. Thx. Mod

@ Scott
i agree with you,
NATO is a banditic creation, I do not know what the Lama meant but I know for sure what robbers in NATO think under Moscow headquarters. i respect religions because i see it is important to people, just because of that. otherwise I do not care and I am funny to call people the saints. the enlightened individuals are themselves saints, but judging by the wickedness that spreads on the planet daily, the vast majority of carnivores did not learn anything but hope for salvation, hiding behind coats of arms, flags, saints, presidents, rulers, monarchies, religions, holly books which they do not understand and rely on usurpers for explanation…they do everything just to not face yourself.
saints and others …Dalai L. & Kadirov like, they all have already chosen the side. and we will have to do it also when the time comes.
Scott,
For many years when I saw the Dalai Lama on t.v. or magazine I felt guilty. He was always paraded by everyone as such a wonderful human being, but! there was something about him I didn’t like.
In fact, I had a natural aversion to the look in his eyes and his demeanor. He seemed sneaky and a weasel to me. I thought badly of myself, for disliking so strongly such a ” kind and unwordly” man.
Thank you Scott. I will follow my woman’s intuition ( a gift from God to all women) next time more carefully.

About Buddhists monks in Tibet
Well for what it’s worth, my 2 cents. I have practiced Buddhism for well over 40 years. It is historical fact that Buddhists are viewed as terrible heathens, pagans, etc. I hear it is a capital crime in Saudi Arabia to be Buddhist. Let’s recall that the Taliban blew up Buddhist statues in Afghanistan. And that during the Muslim invasions of India 1000 years ago, thousands of Buddhist monks were slaughtered, so tolerance in the Muslim world has had a mixed history.
A few years ago, I was in an internet cafe in Bangkok, Thailand (mostly Buddhist country). The guy next to me and I got to talking, he was from Pakistan, and I told him that as an American, I had to apologize for US meddling in his country.
He replied by telling me that I should read the Koran. I said I am quite happy with my own practice, and he insisted that I read the Koran.
While staying in a Buddhist monastery in Myanmar, the monks told me (in 2005) that Muslim men are paid to get local Buddhist girls to marry them, which undermines the Buddhist community.
This is all very unfortunate because both religions avoid alcohol, teach morality, even use similar rosary beads for prayer. Can’t we all get along?
Recently a friend of mine from Indonesia told me that for years, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists all got along fine there. Only with the Wahabhi influence have things gone bad there.
All religions are practiced by humans–fallible humans, all of whom have a capacity for benevolence as well as selfishness and cruelty. The Tibetan theocracy’s fascistic tendencies stain the teachings. It seems almost a given when noble practices and beliefs become institutionalized.
So, while I think there is reason to believe the stories of human rights abuses against Rohingas, there can be little doubt that it is not so simple a matter.
My friend in Burma speaks fluent English and wanted to be a journalist. He could have gotten a scholarship to the US, and I warned him that he would be an unwitting agent of the US government, that the socalled democracy movement was an excuse to get hold of Burmese/Myanmar resources, yet most people there don’t recognize the danger, given the history of military repression.
Where is Soros’ plane crash and when?
Warning: rant–skip at your own discretion.
sigh. islamaphobia?–jeez are we going to go Social Justice Warrior trash talking here on this forum?. And I just snort at other unseemly accusations knowing I will be on the first cattle car when the coup comes to my city if I even am allowed to make it that far.
OK.There is good reason to be let’s say, wary, of Islam:
Read the Koran #1. dwell especially on the 2nd half of it which according to scholars overrides the impeccable first part.
Know the History of the various sects of Islam #2 as well as the history of Islam…Try talking to a Sikh for example. Oh and an interview with a Spanish Muslim—many view Spain as occupied land which they will eventually reclaim. Do not just talk to assimilated intellectuals.
#3 open your eyes to how the worse, the very, very worse form of Islam is being used politically by forces of deep evil in this world and . If Kadyrov sends Sufis with supplies to the Rohingye, more power to him.
#4 get to know different Muslim groups of different social classes in different countries of the world
.#5 and understand, especially those of us who live in the USA , the concept of “group karma” – there are other formulations for this idea, but this is the one I use.
.The Rohingya of Myanmar (so unpolitically correctly called Burma) have never been citizens of Myanmar per the decision of the majority culture. Maybe that part of the country should be detached and merged with Bangladesh? I am sure the Myanmarese would see that in less than charitable light especially if ( lo and behold) there just happens to be underground wealth there.
By the way, other Muslims in Burma are citizens.
To preclude from citizenship is not “politically correct” according to “Western Values” . oh those same values that allow the blindness when ” the grass ” of Gaza is periodically mowed by the Israeli State. I hear very little but token protests from the brothers of the Umma ( especially the Saudis) when that happens and certainly no world wide demonstrations. Ho hum just business as usual in the Mid East?
So forgive me if I am a bit cynical about this sudden concern about the Rohingye. There is more to the story which I admit I do not know. And there are innocent victims…there are always innocent victims when the wheels of history grind.
But this merely means Truth must be spoken and Mercy delivered.
By the way, here is what a Hindu nation thinks of the Rohingya, although most recently they have been shamed into sending a few relief convoys and packs of mosquito nets

@T13
You have mentioned Sufi poets before. I advise you google ‘ajit vadakayil’. He has good information on the many poets, especially the ‘dasas’, who were imagined and created during the colonial occupation. It may be painful reading for you if you are a Sikh as I suspect. But truth is usually painful, especially for those who follow Dharma.
Don’t have to be a Sikh to have an opinion on Mr. Vadakayil

Do I hear a hearty hip-hip-hurray for the good ol’ washing machine? somewhere? anywhere?
I don’t agree with Ajit Vadakayil on everything. Nonetheless, I think he is worth reading regarding the murderous campaigns by jihadist Muslims against Hindus in India.

Brilliant, thanks a lot!
When a hungry baby drinks breast milk of her dead mother, it is a sign of human tragedy and dawnfall !!!! Read all my points, before Making any conclusion. I was as medical help in Bangladish refugee camps, i know what im taking!!!!!!!
The oppression and brutality against muslims in Burma is not new. No nation in the Face of planet is so brutalized as Rohingyas, even Palastine coming next. They lived there more then 600 years, small group came with british empire later. In princip They have no rights.
1. Their collective citizenship was withdrawn in 90s.
2.They have no right to mariage only after payment of 800 dollar, which is huge amount for those poor people. 3.They have no right to education, property, and government work, nowdays even private work and business is closed.
4. They have not passports, They can not travel or fly.
5. They can not have more then 2 childre, for birth of every child They have to pay 350 dollar, a big sum.
6. In many other cities They are forbidden to enter, IF enter They Will be killed.
7.Since some year the majority of Rohingyas living in Nazi like concentration camps.
8. The fascist state of Burma and fanatic monks and civilians Killing , raping and beheading Rohingyas without mercy.
9.Almost the entire nation agree upon the final solution of Rohingyas.
10. The only minority of Burma which nerver revolt against the brutality of regime is Rohingya minority.
11. Rohingas have no right to gather for praying.
12. State media oppenly demonizing them and provoking violence as in the case of Rwanda.
13. Buddist monks spreading mindless conspiracies against these defensless, poor and helpless people.
14.Khadyrov of Chechenya knows what he talking about, he is a honest man, when he defends Donbas so everyone like him, but when he exposes one of the biggest Genocide of 21 century, many do not like him. Those who due to their genetical hatred of muslims attack Khadyrov are the demons with double moral.
15. Russia and China a longside Israel and West are guilty of these savagery, murder, rape and holocast of Rohingyas. They knew it for decades, specially China and Russia vetoed the slightest condemnation of this genocide, recently in may.
16. Anyone who deny this human tragedy and suffring and blame those hopless victims belongs not to human family, hatred makes suck people blind, a blind and ignorant pathetic mind is equal to puré evil.
17. People of the world do not make any mistake, Russia or China is not any better option to the zionist-West empire. In Syria Russia fight ISIS to help Syrian people, while in Burma supporting one of the most Criminal regime of the planet. IT is the same double moral game which western criminals played for centuries.
18. I was a strong supporter of Russia but after my research about plight of Rohingyas and my travel to Refugee camp in Bangladish, i have no dreams and hope any more about Russia. No body gonna save humanity, the only freedom for helpless people is death.
19. To all those morons who sitting behind PC and thinks They know better, please move ur lazy ass, stop ur beer drinking and go to the refugee camps and see what is going on. U Will be responsible for ur actions and thoughts in the jugdment day, if U believe in such thing.
20. When 500000 people in 2 weeks flee their homeland, when 100s of villages where burn down, when 1000s of them were murdered, when every 3rd woman was raped, then their is a tragedy, it is human tragedy, U morons!!!!When a baby drinks the milk of her dead mother because of hunger , then IT is human plight, ur hatred made U completely blind,
21. The “Rohingya final solution” which is going on now is continuation of a serial and systematic ethnic cleansing which started many decades ago. In the 40s, 70s and 80s there occured similar events murdering some 100s thousands of Rohingyas.
22. Documents obtained by researchers showing a clear blue print for systematic genocide.
23. All major powers benefit direct or indirect from this human suffering. China invested in this area and IF Rohingyas disappear from this part, They have nothing against that. As we know Chinese mentality, money and bussiness is the real god of day. One day They Will betray Russia as well, u Will see it. Israel and West who are experts in false flag issues, they trained Burma military and the latest so called militant attack on Burma military posts looks like the work of usual suspects and of course They blame the Victims as in 911.
24. Russia did a huge strategic mistake by supporting the brutal regime of Burma and ignoring the suffering and savagery. When all Christian of West and east turn against Russia and joining one by one NATO and sanctions,
The only countries which maintain economic ties with Russia were and are muslim nations. Even the Orthodox nations turned against Russia. But Russia did betray muslims by indirectly joining the “final solution ” of Rohingyas, and muslims Will not forget this.
25. Im almost sure that Mr Putin may trust more Khadyrov then Medvedev, coz honest men do not betray friends. The only guards of Tsar who did not betray him was muslims, all Russian and non muslim guards of Tsar were bought by Bolshviks. Try to disprove me!!!!.
26. So, one day when economic interest of China collides with Russia, China Will betray you, coz their god is money, im very honest to say this.
27. I talked with many muslims and They are very disapointed about roll of Russia in helping the military junta of Burma and ignoring the genocide.
28. One other important point which make muslims worry is the RT-anti muslim propaganda, almost every day RT sending some islamophobic issue. RT coverage of Muslim genocide and exodus is invisible, while from small things They make very big news, like “a muslim man shouting Allau akbar running the street”
Antoni
Look, you presented to me with n entire manifesto. Read my SITREP again.
What does it tell you? They are doing something.
As for the RT… I have no control over them, but your reaction seems to be overly sensitive. What are you? An American high school girl?
Look… My next-door neighbors run away from me, screaming in fear… kids and this professor of International relations at the university down the street, who just bought a house next to mine.
I don’t care. I think it’s entertaining. I enjoy my newly found notoriety as a Russian.
You visited a Rohingya refugee camp right? Did you visit the families of the butchered policemen that the Rohingya “freedom fighters” aka terrorists ripped apart? No? I didn’t think so. Despair is a little Buddhist boy weeping over his fathers mutilated, dismembered and tortured body.
Ok I was making a point that your visiting a refugee camp does not make you an expert. Secondly, I have stated earlier that the Burmese ethnic group are are xenophobes. They have also denied citizenship to Hindu Nepalis that had settled and integrated into Burma many decades ago. Their treatment of these mixed Nepali-Burmese has been crude, bigoted, shameless and inflexible. I have not cast the majority ethnic group Myanmar as saints; their military can and has been vicious even to their own ethnicity: it was not so long ago that they same Buddhist monks being slandered and demonized here were being beaten severely (sometimes killed) by Myanmar military. That said, the Rohingyas are considered a festering crucible of Islamists that are held in disdain by their own Bangladesh ethnic cousins and coreligionists.
You are no doubt right that Rohingya women children have been murdered or died due to the harsh conditions of fleeing. Interestingly the country that is the closest to rohingyas and taken in the largest number of refugees, Bangladesh, accepts the women children and elderly are innocent victims and have suffered atrocities, however they also firmly put the finger of blame on the Rohingya terrorists for trigger this event. I am doing a count down on how long it will take for Bangladesh to cave-in and reverse their position on telling the truth: as they are eventually whipped into line into parroting the Western and Gulf Arab Muslim Ummah propaganda screed that rohingyas are the good guys and the Myanmar Burmese are the bad guys (including the idiotic CIA generated propaganda that Myanmar Buddhist monks eat children – like Saddam Hussein’s soldiers killing babies incubators in Kuwait).
You are correct about your views about China’s drivers are materialistic and devoid of morality. You are also correct that the emotionalism and love-in of China from foreign policy amateurs (because China seems to back Russia in certain situations) is naive and going to end badly (for the amateurs). Fortunately the people that rule Russia are pretty sanguine and cynical about the Sino Chinese shotgun marriage (which is why they continue to arm China’s adversaries) and I doubt that they are fooled and don’t have contigincies. This isn’t the first time China has turned a blind eye to morality to support regimes that commit acts of mass killings: China supported pol pot Khmer Rouge along with brezinski and the Anglo empire. So on that point you are correct too.
But what really flashes like a red alarm is why have the Bangladeshis been sorry wary and even hostile to rohingyas. What are they seeing that you are not?
To Anonymous
Burma do not allow any independent organ, UN or others to enter the area, so what are They hidding?
There is no evidence that some militants attack those alleged posts!!!!
Bangladish is a poor country so They have zero posibility to take care of these people, They want to calm down the nazi regime of Burma by agreeing with them, coz They have no other way to influence the genocide.
Currently Bangaladish gov is under controll of India, the pseudo neo nazi nationalist Modi pulls the strings in Bangladish, so ur argument is so funny and baseless. U do not know the geopolitics of this region.
But even i agree with U that some militants attacked military posts, ok terror invoke terror, oppression create terror, genocide create terror, When Nazis of Ukraine attacking Donbass, what should be response of Donbass people according ur logic?? Do U call the Donbass people terrorists? Do u call all Donbass people Security risk for Ukraine? Do U support Ukraine to drive out the entire population of novorussia and burn down their houses? IF U do not support Ukraine but support Burma, then U have Deep inherited hatred of muslims and U are on the side of oppressors like the majority of the people in the world.
Bangladish people are not hostile to Rohingya, even They are extremly poor, but They try to help what They can, there are already hundrets of thousands of Rohingyas who fled oppression years before.
They have much bigger heart then the eastern Europeans such as Czechs, Slovakia, Hungary etc which did not accept even one ME refugee, but all of them sold weapon to ISIs, according secret doc obtained by Bulgarian journalist, who was fired after disclosire.
@Antoni
briefly:
You ask:
1) why Myanmar “does not let UN in what have they got hide?”
You’re kidding right? That statement alone tells me your views cannot be taken seriously. No country in their right mind would willing give up their sovereignty to a corrupt organization like the UN (a body that put Saudi Arabia in charge of the human rights Commission and whose upper echelon are sold out empire stooges who turned a blind eye to western & gulf Arab sponsored Islamist butchers that were unleashed on the Muslim, Christian and Alawite Syrians but the UN regularly lied in accusing the Syrian government of chemical weapon attacks.)
2)You state India is ruled by neo nazis. Really? Can you tell us where the concentration camps are? Also where are the Indian einstatzgruppen and SS? While you at it can you explain to me how is it that the Hindu population of Pakistan has shrunk to 2% from 15% of the total since partition while the Muslim population of India has increased from 11-12% to over 14% today? Similar stats exist for Bangladesh whose Hindu population has been decimated from from 1950 to present. It seems to me if you wish to make a charge of nazi-like behavior and mass murder of minorities you should look at the Muslim states of South Asia not India. Again this is the Orwellian phenomenon of accusing the victims (non Muslim societies) of what Sunni Islamic societies are guilty of. What does that say of your credibility? Where is your compassion for the Buddhists, Hindus and Christians of that region?
3) You draw a parallel between Donbass freedom fighters and the Islamist butchers in Rohingya terrorist groups. It’s my opinion that comparison and analogy is obscene and dishonest. As far I can see the Donbass militia’s are defending themselves and did not engage in beheadings and butchery, nor did they torch their own peoples villages and blame it on the Ukrostani Nazis (like the Rohingya terrorists have done; same thing isabegovic did to Bosnian Muslim villages and blamed the Serbs: since you’re fond of the UN, it was a UN general, Canadian General Dyer, that testified that fact in front of cameras).
4) Unlike what you wrote, a significant segment of Bangladesh Muslims are hostile to rohingyas and have regularly attacked Rohingya refugees. This does not include those Bangladeshis that prey upon and exploit the refugees for profit. This problem was ignored by the Bangladesh government until last week when the Bangladesh PM, Sheikh Hasina, issued an appeal (and warning) to her people to stop attacks on camps “because Rohingya women and children are innocent victims” (which I agree is true). She said such attacks will [no longer] be tolerated. She also stated that this crisis was triggered by Rohingya terrorists killing scores of Myanmar policemen which “even” you admit is true.
5)You state:”U do not know the geopolitics of this region. ”
I beg to differ, I am from the region and speak several of the languages there, and I can understand Bengali (more or less). I think I might have a better appreciation of the geopolitics there than someone who parachuted in from Italy, visited a refugee camp, got shook-up by the one-sides personal accounts, and then parachuted out back to Italy. It’s quite an assumption to make when you don’t know anything about me (but that’s alright it’s not a big deal).
Don’t you find it a little strange that all non-Western major powers, Russia, China and India, all agree with the Myanmar government on this issue and it is the West (especially the Brits) and their stooge terrorist sponsoring gulf Arab regimes that are supporting the pro-Rohingya anti-Myanmar narrative?
Mr.Anonymous
In my profession We work also with human psychology and psychiatry. Here we have a Clear case of systematic genocide where almost the entire struture of society in Burma participate in and 99% of non muslim majority of Burma agreed upon this slaughter. This case is very unusual, even in the case Nazi Germany or other cases of Genocides, there were always a part of society which was against the act of such evil. Even in Israel there are forces which reject the brutality of State of Israel. The monolitic mind of Burma nation and their inability to express any kind of mercy scared me and many my European aid coleagues.
In this millenuim, the Rohingyas Genocide specially in the past months, is the most obvious case of a brutal Ethnic cleansing, but still there are people like you who Try to play by words and argumenting by bringing completely unrelevant issues. I think the reason is our psychology and conciouss. We are in our basic level all human and have concioussness and sense of justice. Those who rejecting this human tragedy, their subconcious make them feel guilty, but in the superficial level of concioussness They Try to hide or neutralize this feeling of guilt by bringing a lof of non sense reasoning and arguments in order to Escape the questions of human intrinsic voice.
Hatred and apathy and Ego make such people blind, we were surprised by the level of hatred by many fanatic hindus and buddhists. Fanatic Hindus Killing muslims coz They eating meat of cow, this happening in India.
I wanna clarify that I am against all kind of evil, be It by ISIS, islamic Takfiris, by fanatic hindus or Budhists or others.
The topic is the Genocide of Rohingyas, It Will be a devilish act to divert issue from this current and urgent human plight and talk about this or that. If you can not save one person, if you can not help one person, so please shut up, do not lower your self to such a degree to even deny their suffering.
There is also another aspect of hatred, often It is self hatred which projects itself as hating others, such people get a temporary false good feeling by hating others and blaming others for everything.
We were surprised by the degree of hatred and negativity expressed by some hindus we encountered. If U can not see what happening in Burma, ur are blind in ur mind and there is nothing to do about it.
I hope Jesus Will bring some peace to U and open ur mind and eyes.

Antoni: “The only countries which maintain economic ties with Russia were and are muslim nations.”
I never knew Finland is a Muslim country. And all that happened so fast.
I’m know this is a little anal, but there isn’t any “potassium iodine” (KI) in proper English usage – as far as I’m aware. I’m assuming it’s not typo since the wrong term was repeated multiple times. Also, if assuming the term used originated from a different language, it is irrelevant since the article is written in English.
The correct chemical nomenclature for (KI) in English is potassium iodide.
Potassium Iodide
Correcting small technical mistakes might seem very trivial to some, however, a word’s meaning and interpretation can differ even with the slightest aberration. It can devalue the message with imprecisions.
Quiz:
What’s the difference between “paid” and “payed”?
The major problem is that globalization has benefited Wahhabi ideology, and that Wahhabi ideology is fast becoming Islam. It has largely replaced traditional Islam in much of the MENA and is rapidly making inroads elsewhere. Within a few generations most of the Islamic world will adhere to Wahhabi ideology, with a few traditionalist holdouts here and there. Syria, however victorious, will still be vulnerable to the Wahhabi cancer while undergoing reconstruction.
Russia and its Chechen allies won the battle against Takfiri militants but may yet lose the war. The traditional headscarf is receding before the hijab in Muslim-majority areas of the Federation. Local Muslim leaders say that Russia has driven Takfiris underground but has not destroyed their ideology.
NATO is able to indoctrinate and recruit hundreds of Sunni Takfiris in Georgia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other areas. The Saudis provide the mosques and ideology, while the U.S. and U.K. offer weapons and transportation. Israel and the rest of the GCC work hand-in-glove with NATO.
Between DAESH, al-Nusra, Boko Haram, and the rest of the jihadi groups, there are millions of Takfiri militants and sympathizers worldwide, and their number is growing. Estimates indicate that one percent (eighteen million) of the world’s 1.8 billion Muslims are Takfiris. While relatively small, this is a significant and ever-growing percentage.
The “Empire of Chaos” controls all sides. Case in point: Yugoslavia.
NATO, Israel, and the GCC deployed Wahhabi mujahideen in the former Yugoslavia to stage false flags. NATO, Israel, and the GCC also recruited Serbian Mafiosi, among them top Serbian intelligence officials, who resisted Milosevic’s crackdown on their criminal activities. Croatian fascists and Albanian Mafiosi also collaborated with the imperialists to undermine the authority of Milosevic.
Kadyrov has attempted to forge ties with the Saudis while assisting Russia. He has long played both sides to become an independent power. His appeal to pan-Islamism is itself a sign of Wahhabi influence. The Ottomans could not convince Indian Muslims to fight the British Empire in the First World War, but Wahhabi indoctrination now impels jihadists to fight for NATO, Israel, and the GCC.
Takfiris are also adept liars who blend in well. That should always be considered.
The alleged Buddhist extremists are most likely paid actors. They are on the CIA-Soros payroll. They hurl invective against Muslims but do little or no killing. The well-armed, highly trained Takfiris and their handlers do the actual fighting, killing, and false-flag, asymmetrical warfare. The Saudis, Israelis, and NATO back these killers.
“Saudi Arabia is willing to invest into, among other projects, a ski resort, a skyscraper in Grozny and an international counterterrorism training center, Kadyrov announced on his Instagram account on Sunday.”

after a long year i have read a good report
..I’m very happy to know about kadyrov foundation and also the view of Russian about the genocide of burma
After WW2 and its independence from British colonialism, Myanmar tried to implement policies that were called “Burmese Socialism”. Until recently Myanmar had a closed economy and most business were nationalised, while the military firmly controlled politics.
Myanmar was for many years under various western sanctions…..
After Western pressure, the military gradually liberalised the political and economic system.
The issue with the muslims in Myanmar is another form of pressure against Myanmar to offer even more concessions to the western interests and finally promote regime change.
It reminds the Libyan regime under Gadaffi.
Gadaffi offered concessions to the western interests and abolished his chemical/nuclear program and a few years later was toppled.
That why North Korea will never accept the western (or chinese) terms of submission …..
They will continue to develop their economic self sufficiency and nuclear weapons so as to be safe from any foreign (Western/ Chinese/ South Korean etc) pressure and maintain their independence and sovereignty.
