According to the very latest news, 13 policemen have been killed by sniper fire. The insurgents are storming the Parliament which is being evacuated. The Internal Ministry has announced that the police forces will be allowed to use firearms to defend their lives.
In Kiev stores and office buildings are being looted and set on fire.
In the meantime in Lvov and Zhitomir the local government offices have been stormed and take over by nationalist forces. In Khmelnitski the assault has been repelled by police forces.
Yanukovich is negotiating with German, Polish and French diplomats.
The EU and the US blames the government and plans sanctions.

Yes, this is how we, the 99%, can fight back. I use my knowledge of Russian to try to get as much accurate news out about what is happening in Russia and the Ukraine (I understand Ukrainian very well), and others to the same thing for other parts of the world and, all together, we provide a diverse and powerful “counter-media” to the presstitutes of the corporate media who only serve the interest of their bosses. I have to say that even though I am not that young any more, I do not recall any time when the lies from the Western media were more crude, “in your face”, absolutely shameless and without even a pretense of objectivity or pluralism. I always marvel at how low the BBC has fallen. Generally, I find the European press EVEN WORSE than the American one, which is dismal in its own way, of course.
The other fantastic development is that RT is really doing a world-class effort at counter-CNNing-CNN and the result is nothing short of superb. Then there is Press TV and Telesur, or electronic media like the Asia Times (which I highly recommend) and the immense blogosphere which, while far from being perfect, is still infinitely more diverse and interesting than the monolithic propaganda of the 1% running the Empire.
So yes, this is how we fight back and we are winning, every day, one soul at a time :-)

Gaddafi had a good system, people were taken care of in Libya, and STILL they overthrew him.
These people have an agenda, and ‘divide et impera’ is their motto. Whenever they see a small crack, they make it wider. Either by overexposing ethnic/religious differences, class differences, or simply by finding enough corrupted individuals to bribe into playing the game their way…
Everywhere the scenario is the same:
-Find people willing to protest
-Explore strategies for escalation
-Start unrest
-Escalate unrest
-Ask the Government to de-escalate tensions
-Be creative with the truth in your media (which is all western media)
-Create a sense of injustice (when it’s in fact you who creates the injustice in the first place)
Rinse and repeat.
Examples in just the past two decades:
-Bosnia
-Serbia
-Macedonia
-Libya
-Syria
and now
-Ukraine
There’s only one way to beat these people…

Isn’t a nation using armed men to take over another nation an act of war?
The EU is providing support to armed men trying to take over another county that are openly fighting while carrying the EU flag. The EU even says they want the Ukraine in the EU. Shouldn’t the Ukraine make a complaint to the United Nations in regard to an invasion?
