Emmanuel Macron very quickly made it official: He will introduce a bill which will transform extraordinary state of emergency powers into regular police practice.
According to Le Monde, which saw a leaked copy of the bill: “…almost all the measures of the state of emergency will be found in common law.”
What this means is that the post-Charlie Hebdo war hysteria has not only never stopped, but will have become the new, permanent normal: Anyone can be arrested, searched and detained with just a simple accusation. Judges simply need to be “informed”; police have carte blanche.
So…when can I start referring to France as an “authoritarian state” without getting edited?
LOL, I don’t know what it would actually require to finally start calling that spade a “spade”…. I am reminded that Confucius’ “rectification of names” doctrine shows that the failure to call things by their proper names can only lead to social disorder.
I hate to say I told you so, but after less than one month in power Macron has proven to be what many feared: All the fascism of Marine Le Pen, slightly less (perhaps) of the xenophobia , 100 times the austerity. What a lousy formula that is!
And despite all the warning signs, Macron won pretty handily. And again, despite all the warning signs, Macron’s party is set to win an absolute majority in Parliament when the final round votes are tallied on June 18.
The bill transforming civil liberties in France will be immediately introduced three days later, on June 21. Macron is not wasting any time in showing his true colors, and the bill was obviously whistle-blown in order to warn voters.
I understand if the average person isn’t paying attention, but for journalists – it’s our job to do so.
Some journalists are wasting space by acting completely surprised at the legalization of what is properly termed a “police state dictatorship”, but Macron showed his authoritarian inclination by repeatedly promising to extend the state of emergency upon entering office and he said so again this week (until November 1).
Instead of focusing on the campaign – when he spoke to voters directly – many journalists are foolishly claiming to have been misled by a comment in his book that the state of emergency could not be “permanent”.
Well, of course….absolutely nobody, anywhere is saying that France needs to be living under a permanent state of emergency until the end of time.
But France is currently a country so badly burned by Hollande’s 180-degree about-face on election promises that they are perhaps hyper-sensitive to yet another faithless elected. But they are being willfully blind, again, and they would do better to examine the fact that his proposed changes to the labor code this week are even more right-wing than what he warned of while campaigning.
I remind readers that a “French Patriot Act”, which gave cops all the powers they allegedly needed to fight terrorism, was rushed through in the 2015 post-Charlie Hebdo war hysteria. France’s executive branch was already perhaps the most powerful in the West, so at the time many said it wasn’t even necessary.
But they grabbed more power, anyway, because that seems to be the only true talent of Western politicians in the 21st century.
The backroom deal that cemented Macron becomes much clearer
Macron’s campaign was not plunging but certainly fading when he made a key political deal with the leading centrist politician in France, Francois Bayrou. Bayrou finished 5th in the 2012 presidential election, to give you an idea of his significant domestic standing.
It was late February and Macron had fallen below conservative Francois Fillon and Marine Le Pen in the polls. But then the centrist party leader announced he would ally with Macron, and Macron never left the top two again.
I assumed that the backroom deal was Bayrou’s support in exchange for the prime minister spot, but he surprisingly settled for Justice Minister, the nation’s top prosecutor.
Well, nobody predicted that the two would seek to drastically expand the role of the Justice Minster: The proposed bill effectively makes the nation’s top lawyer into the nation’s top judge! That’s obviously a huge, alarming conflict of interest.
The new bill will mean that the judicial branch no longer decides on anything with the word “terrorism” attached – no longer acts as a check and balance – they simply must be informed of decisions taken by the executive branch: i.e., the president, the Interior and Justice Ministers, and Officer Jean-Michel Everycop.
When police don’t need warrants for searches, raids and arrests, then judges are just rubber-stampers, except for cases like those found on reality court TV.
The leak became public literally minutes from when the “Sages”, or “Wise Ones”, of France’s Constitutional Council strongly condemned the government’s practice of banning people from attending demonstrations and abusing house arrests.
Amnesty reported last week that some 650 specific individuals were banned from attending peaceful, anti-government protests in the past 18 months. The overwhelming majority were during the anti-labor code rollback protests, with a couple dozen environmentalists banned during the UN COP 21 summit in Paris, which Trump recently rejected.
This condemnation by the Guardian Council – I’m sorry, the Wise Ones – was leavened by the fact that they waited one and half years to make a ruling on such a fundamental issue of democratic rights…in fact, there’s so much leavening the bread has lost all nutritional value: they were obviously in the pocket of the Hollande administration.
The Wise Ones did not dare touch the question of banning entire demonstrations: Amnesty said 155 demonstrations have banned, but they didn’t point out that an undoubted “chilling effect” surely led to the premature strangulation of many in the cradle. I guess let’s look for that decision in December 2019?
‘Je suis Algerien!’
Now there’s a slogan which has roughly zero chance of going viral, LOL!
But it’s basically true, because the last time there was a state of emergency in France it was to prevent Algerian independence. We have all been Algerians since November 2015, and now Macron wants us all to be Algerians permanently (hey, better than being Libyans – then we’d get bombed by NATO!).
Maybe this is where the European project becomes useful: If passed, the bill will surely go before the European Court of Human Rights.
A fundamental question which never gets posed by the mainstream media is: Why do politicians keep doing this? As I dared to write hours after an ISIL terror attack in Iran (and my faith has been justified), Iranian politicians did not manipulate terrorism to attempt an anti-democratic executive branch power grab.
The answers to such a question cannot be good, but it seems France’s politicians want more power, more money, more fame, more everything else that…does not benefit the entire commonweal: more equality, more social justice, more happiness, more peace, etc.
But the precipitous fall of Hollande’s prime minister and primary enforcer, Manuel Valls, should be a cautionary tale that such power grabs backfire with voters. Heck, the entire French Socialist Party may not even win enough seats to form a parliamentary group, which calls into question their very existence. Voters are not as dumb as they think!
And because they are no good answers to such questions, you don’t rise very high on the journalism ladder by posing such questions.
I remind readers that Macron has said that he will not remain in politics after his presidency – he’ll go back to private service and make enough money to buy an NBA franchise, like Obama plans to. For a public servant that is a rather mercenary plan. Half of Macron’s nearly 400 party candidates are totally new to politics, so it’s appears certain they will be easily malleable to Macron’s will; it seems less certain that they are committed to the public good instead of reaping the benefits of quickly-acquired power.
Are we judging Macron too soon?
I keep asking Macron voters, but not in a needling way, if they are happy with their vote – I’m still waiting for an enthusiastic “yes”.
I don’t want to come off as too negative too early in Macron’s presidency: I think many have done that with Trump. It seems clear that Trump had no idea how much Deep State blowback there would be to what he proposed to implement, and we shouldn’t be surprised that he was totally unprepared for that. However, he could find his feet and start punching back – it ain’t over, and it’s more accurate to say it’s only just begun.
Macron, however, was the number 2 man in Elysée Palace (France’s White House) and worked closely with Hollande. Macron was a top cabinet minister. He clearly knows the political ropes and what he is doing. Trump probably just watched “House of Cards” as preparation (plenty of Russophobia there).
Ultimately what Macron is doing is implementing the will of the bosses – that’s the simplest way to put it. Macron can’t imagine going against them, and he sees himself as one of them. Macron, the former Rothschild banker, is also one of high finance and the bond-buyers, and they are obviously delighted at his ascension.
We journalists like to have our fun, and we’re actually not that creative, so we like to come up with funny names for the physical and mental midgets we have to follow daily. I dubbed France’s boy wonder “Emmanuel Macr-Obama” because both politicians were just a shiny repackaging of the same capitalist/imperialist brand.
But maybe Macron and Marine Le Pen were one-and-the-same all along?
But maybe Macron is even worse: Who can say that Le Pen would be taking this route, which is clearly authoritarian?
Of course, if Le Pen had done something like this I think French Twitter might have exploded in outrage.
It’s certainly hard to not predict that by pushing Macron France’s mainstream media will lose major credibility with every Macron step to the right.
When allegedly left-wing Libération writes of the proposed bill: “…the sentiment of being duped is starting to be seen among social networks, traditional citizen rights’ watchdogs, NGOs, lawyers’ unions and political progressives,” one wants to say, “Go take a long walk off a short pier, Libé….” After all, they broke the law on impartiality the day before the presidential vote with a cover that read, “Do what you want but vote Macron”.
What’s certain is that the mainstream media is never going to really condemn Macron…or Clinton, Obama, Cameron, etc. That means it’s really down to the average citizen. Many predict this 2nd labor code rollback will inspire Hollande-era levels of strikes and protests – will this normalization of the emergency state add to that?
But all of those groups listed by Libération should have known better; should have warned the public of who is the real Macron; are culpable in scaring the electorate into voting for him.
Of course, being no fool, I vote communist, but when we are told that Le Pen was the fascist and then we see that Macron is immediately preparing to institutionalize of fascism – well, you get that wrong and anyone with ethics must admit responsibility. And then they should change their point of view.
I feel I would have been writing the same things had Bernie Sanders won in the United States….
There is no Third Way, there is no reconciliation with capitalism, there is no end to xenophobia without socialist unity, there is no way a Rothschild banker could have been what you foolishly pretended he was.
And yet, as I write this, tomorrow is the first round in France’s Parliamentary elections: Voters are set to give Macron an absolute majority in Parliament and, combined with the conservative Républicain Party, to elect 90% pro-austerity politicians. C’est dingue…it’s crazy!
I didn’t have to be this way, but this is what compromise with capitalism looks like – the result is always anti-democratic.

The Patriot Act after 9-11 was the template.
Now UK will take rights from the citizens. First words out of May’s mouth after the last attack on London bridge.
France began with their State of Emergency under Hollande. What good has that done?
The attacks are coordinated and choreographed so the government Tyrannies can diminish freedom and dissent, because the entire West’s economic future is rocky at best, and governments fear their citizens, not the terrorists.
And most citizens feel its for the best to defeat terrorism, so they surrender to Tyranny.
No. Guns are the best answer. You need a well-armed resistance army of citizens who will take care of these freaks immediately, then call for cops and military to clean up the corpses.
But in Europe, they gelded the men and pilloried gun owners.
Self-defense is a natural state of humanity.
A freak in a truck, a lunatic with a machete or large knife, a suicider with bombs, can all be handled best, promptly by gun-carrying citizens trained to take down criminals swiftly. One or two minutes, not eight, twelve, twenty, or hours later as we have seen all over Europe, Australia, US and elsewhere.
It’s war against civilization. The best defense is everyone capable to be trained and certified to carry handguns and pistols.
And of course, to point them at the Tyrannical assholes running the government and force them to close down the mosques and madrassas where hate and violence is preached. Go to the source. Snuff out this ideology and do it with common sense and full magazine or clip.
We all want a calm, peaceful life. We’ll have to kill the rabid dogs before we can breathe easy and not fear for our life, our children and grandchildren, our churches, our public places and our workplaces.
No more draconian rules for us. Death to the rabid dogs of Wahhabism.
Lock and load.
“Lock and load.”
Well that worked well in America. Just about the only untouched part of the Constitition is the 2nd Ammendment. Why is untouched? Because TPTB know that 2nd Amendment supporters will do nothing as long as they have their guns. The periodic claims of ‘they are coming for our guns’ are so good for arms sales that Obama was declared by the NRA to be their best salesman.
Second Ammendment untouched??
“Illinois was the last state to allow the concealed carry of firearms by citizens. The state’s original handgun carry ban was enacted in 1949, with the ban’s most recent revision being enacted in 1962.The pre-existing law forbade concealed carry, and generally prohibited open carry, except in counties that had enacted ordinances allowing open carry.
On December 11, 2012, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, in the case of Moore v. Madigan, ruled that Illinois’ concealed carry ban was unconstitutional, and gave the state 180 days to change its laws. Subsequently, the court granted a 30-day extension of the deadline. On July 9, 2013, Illinois enacted the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, which established a system for the issuing of concealed carry licenses. On September 12, 2013, the Illinois Supreme Court, in the case of People v. Aguilar, also ruled that the state’s Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon law, which completely prohibited concealed carry, was unconstitutional. On January 5, 2014, the state police began accepting applications for licenses to carry concealed handguns. On February 28, 2014, the state police announced that they had begun issuing concealed carry licenses.”” source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Illinois#Historical_state_prohibition_of_concealed_carry
So it took more than half a century to for the state of Illinois to bring their laws in line with the consitution. So yes, they didn’t touch the 2nd ammendment, worse they acted as if didn’t even existed.
As my wife’s French family used to say:
Liberté. (point) égalité. (point) fraternité. (point)
which translate to Liberté. (not) égalité. (not) fraternité. (not)
thus the French authoritarian state begins.

Great article Ramin, and the writing, so florid and fluid, makes pleasant reading. C’est genial avoir le commande de trois langues au moins! Reminds me of Pepe Escobar, also a polyglot with a witty turn of phrase.
Back to business: the term common law, as you certainly know, has a specific meaning in English (the legal system) which is quite different from what you meant (la loi ordinaire). I’m not attempting to correct you (Parbleu!) but to warn the insular monolingual readers that France is not part of the Common Law world (Uk and former colonies).
I’m sure that there is a lot of “I told you so” (Je t’avais le dit) doing the rounds in France right now and more pointed recriminations. But, like the fools who voted the clown into the White House (drenched with red blood!) the idiots who voted MacrOb get the nasty they deserve. After all the French voters are supposedly more sophisticated…
Its amazing the profound change that has taken place in France since the Thermidor! We are really going backwards and we have not the leading lights of the great thinkers of the Enlightenment to guide us out of this quagmire of state-sponsored neoliberalism – fascism in another word. The current crop of philosophers are devotees of PC and cultural identity as the defining limits of rational enquiry and leaving the field for unrestrained dog-eat-dog market fundamentalism propagated in the mainstream media and think tanks by the masters of the universe as the most powerful aristocracy in the history of human civilization.
At least anyone can see what’s all about – the State is only a tool in the hands of the masters to further their insatiable greed for power and wealth.
Thank you for a piece as illuminating as ever, Ramin! I had no idea that the details of this new permanent state of emergency had been leaked.
I don’t think that you’re too negative too soon, the signs have been there for a very long time. Even when he said that France had committed crimes against Algeria he also said “I regret nothing. The French established human rights in Algeria but just forgot to read them.” ( https://www.legrandsoir.info/l-arnaque-emmanuel-macron-de-a-a-z.html) The actions that he undertook during the Hollande government, as well as his vacuous discourse indicate the French made a very poor judgment in voting for him in the first round, even though a good portion did so to avoid the nauseating prospect of a Fillon presidency. About 61% of the people who voted Macron in the first round believed that he would not improve their lives.
I certainly hope that the French do not go gentle into this good night. The turnout at the legislatives is disappointing but perhaps the turnout at the urns will be better…
Incroyable, oui !
Hello @Nussiminen.
Interesting to find your opinions here stated in French, but I can read them. The Saker doesn’t want to impose a language here, and this is his site.
I want to say something to you. In another thread, we had some discussions -that’s normal, were humans- and on my question you have given me some quite interesting insights about the murder of Olaf Palme. I have to dig deeper into that, but I want to let you know that I really appreciated that.
Thank you for that and best greetings, Rob
My pleasure, Rob.
As for Macron, it remains to be seen whether he manages to surf the menacing wave of ever darker reaction across Europe. Most notably, France is already the country in Western Europe where the Zionazis wield almost unrestrained power. If they perceive Macron as ‘problematic’ and/or ‘weak’, then attempts on his life are all but certain.
Rob,
Since you mentioned murder of Olof Palmö, read the book ”Coup d’etat in slow motion”
A brilliant, true analysis. “There is no compromise with capitalism, none.” Media who continue to pass on lies will be held accountable as plain citizens stop reading or listening to them by the billions. This is already true in Asia, the entire Middle East and Africa. Nuclear reality dictates this reaction will encompass the globe.
As a french person, I have to say that Ramin Mazaheri doesn’t understand a lot about french politics. Perhaps is it due to the fact he’s been living in France only since 2009.
Why does he continue to spread such lies as Lepen being a fascist and full of xenophobia ? This is absolutely stupid and utterly wrong. Even Jakubowitz, president of CRIF (the real jewish government in France to which the president and ministers come every year to bow down to the feet, and get greatings or shame) said publicly that Marine Le Pen is not fascist, not far right, not antisemitic.
guibus, the author preferred Marine over Emmanuel in last month’s election, which was more clear and explicitly stated in his earlier articles.
He’s not wild about LePen, but he found her clearly preferable to Micron.
He’s being ironic/sarcastic about the French voters that don’t see what he and you see, and succumb to the MSM mind control and fear, that paralyzed them from voting LePen instead of Merkel in male “drag”.
Again an excellent article, thank you Ramin Mazaheri.
Years ago I warned French friends that they would really feel sorry for that they voted this idiot of a Hollande. Then they looked at me in amazement.
The French will do that again for this mommy puppet. He’s just a face and a voice, but not a man.
Let me add that -other than in the USA- it is not common in Europe that civilians are armed. Unfortunately for France, on the countryside (‘la campagne’) that is different. There is a long hunting tradition there, and in about every house there somewhere a rifle is present, maybe more. If you misbehave there, they will simply shoot at you. The first time as a warning, but maybe the next time they will aim better. That is the way things are handled there. Like they say there, ‘Paris, c’est loin’ (Paris is far away).
There is a big difference between the cities and the countryside in France. I feel sorry for the many hundreds of no go areas in the French cities, and by no go it really means no go, they will shoot at you.
But on the countryside, they will shoot back.
“All the fascism of Marine Le Pen”
Stopped reading right there. The radical anti-European partisanship of this blog is just too transparent anymore.
Europe will have “fascism” whether anyone wants it or not. You will have Liberal, Jewish, Islamist fascism, or you will have Traditionalist, White, Christian “fascism”. One of them entails the ethnic cleansing of Europeans from Europe and one of them entails the ethnic cleansing of Muslims in Europe. One of these *will* happen. If you’re not on the side of the Marine Le Pen’s then it is simply an undeniable fact of reality that you are on the side of Liberals, Jews and Islam.
I like to add a few remarks to that. I’m trying to be reluctant in gluing slogans to people, we do that too much in these times.
Marine le Pen (and many other politicians who think like her) is not a ‘fascist’ or a ‘nazi’ or ‘extremely right’. She is a patriot.
In these EU-times this is almost treated like treason, but it is also an opinion.
The terms ‘left’ and ‘right’ are also not valid anymore. I grew up partially in the sixties of the former century where these differences grew. ‘Right’ was considered ‘conservative’, meaning that they didin’t want to change that much and keep things running. ‘Left’ meant the want to change a lot. Stop wars, more wealth and a voice to the working class.
If you look now, in a lot of countries so-called ‘social democrats’ are in power. What do they do? Keeping things running, raise taxes, and when big brother USA asks them to help bombing brown people somewhere far away, they do that without blinking an eye.
It’s like everything is turned 180 degrees. Nowadays, it is really the ‘right’ sides that want change, not the ‘left’ sides.
In Europe you have websites where you can get advise on what party to vote on, guided by a sequence of questions where you can choose. If you would answer such a site in Germany with the party program of the NSDAP from the thirties (yes, that party), you would end up at ‘die Gruenen’ and ‘Die Linke’ (Green, Leftist).
I have seen manifestations in Germany of the movement of Pegida, where Germans walked with banners with texts like ‘Tolerance and respect ok, but please also for us’. Well, one could agree with that. They were met with utter hatred from the black hooded army of Antifa, that really were throwing stones at them.
Using violence against people with another opnion? That is exactly what the SS troops did in the thirties. The Antifa movement is so anti, that they turned from 180 degrees to 360 degrees.
Imho we should be careful with those kinds of descriptions.
And as I always ask: what % of them (both ‘sides’) were govt. contractors?
I had to smile about your comment.
I’m quite aware that e.g. in the USA there are fairly succesful contractors that organize fake demonstrations, using students and actors. During the Trump campaign, a few times it was quite obvious that demonstrations were fake, organized and paid for by opponents.
In this Pegida demonstrations I don’t believe that. The demonstrators themselves were quite peaceful, and listened e.g. to a speech of the brave (and unfortunately late) Udo Ulfkotte (tip: read his book ‘Gekaufte Journalisten’ (Bought Journalists) about the manipulation of the press).
But those people from Antifa? No. I’ve seen it (it was a livestream, I cannot link to that) and what I saw was not acted. It was pure hatred.
With that I don’t mean that your question might not be valid every now and then.
Greetings, Rob
Under relentless pressure from the Zionist-controlled French media the people of France voted for Macron, a creature backed by the banks.
The French, like a lot of other people worldwide, have chosen to outsource their thinking to others, and for this they will have to pay the price.
Despite the propaganda onslaught from the Zionist-controlled French media, all the warning signs were there that this guy if elected, would only implement policies designed to push the agenda of his elite backers.
So whatever they get now, they have no one to blame but themselves. These policies will soon be imposed upon them, without fail:
• Austerity -extended
• Anti-labor policies – ramped up
• Police State -enshrined into law
• Russo phobia – increased
• Hawkish Foreign Policy – extended and increased
• Transgender friendly policies -pushed stronger
• Anti-Christian policies -pushed stronger
• Anti-family policies -pushed stronger
• Pro-Israel agenda -placed on steroids
• Pro-immigration policies -pushed without limits
• Pro-Corporation – enshrined in laws after laws
• Pro-EU – like never before
The French can either accept their fate meekly or they can choose to rebel. The choice is theirs, for the time being…
That’s a pretty scary list! But accurate.
Another excellent and informative article Mr Mazaheri, thank you.
It is so odd, you know; that here in western Europe the entire governing structures are incorporated and operating for profit. This is as true of the Umbrella corporation, the EU, as it is of the governance structures in my country; the UK. The Police, the Courts (Temple Crown), the MoJ, Mod, etc are all businesses operating for profit. The same is true in the US which has operated under a state of emergence for a very long time. The point is that we are all abusively taxed, unlawfully treated by businesses pretending to possess authority, without ever informing of the source of their consent: Which is self evidently the act of “registering to vote”. This is the definition of Democracy; the means by which businesses and banks obtain power by trickery.
This I believe is true of all of Western Europe, and perhaps Eastern European nations that have been coerced or tricked into joining the EU. I have not yet researched further East though it is my hope that Russia is not guilty of this crime. China? I am not so sure. Free Islam is most likely innocent of this crime, while the victims of aggression, as in the cases of Iraq, Libya etc might have this imposed. I don’t know, but it is the operating model of the Western world.
Ramin, I’m a big fan, deeply concerned about the decline of France, the 1700’s innovator in moving towards a democratic system of governance, now in full reverse towards authoritarian police state, supporting an ultra-elite global financial constituency, while representing a minute minority of the population in France.
1. The emerging pattern
At least one step prior to the ultimate decision, which has the most attention upon it’s function. Thus, in the French system, the fixing is already in, or will occur during the preliminary round(s). To enable triangulation, in the Westminster and Westminster-style ‘democracies‘, the fixing happens at the Leadership determination, and in the American system, it would be equivalent to the national primaries.
Prescription: be ready with observers during preliminary rounds, and ready for court challenges right away; creating a process map plan and references to applicable legal pathways and forms for all the applicable jurisdictions, at all levels where legal challenge to electoral results is viable.
2. About “the fascism of Marine Le Pen”
I agree with some commenters about this ongoing defamation of Le Pan, for none of us know what she would be doing now, had she won the presidential vote, but as most visitors here likely understand, Le Pen was not ever likely to be able to win the final round, there’s already been too much systemic defamation of her through the mainstream media propaganda agencies.
N’est-il pas comme ca?
So, your continuation of the insinuations is redundant at best.
Are you some how suggesting that a Le Pen presidential victory would have been worse than Macron?
Perhaps you could spare an appropriate amount of words to address this.
It used to be that the challenges to the rule by, for and of the bankers came from the left. So, there were a set of standard smears that would be used against them. They were all evil communists and therefore the only choice was to support rule, by, for and of the bankers.
Now the challenges to the rule by, for and of the bankers seem to come from more nationalisic right. And we are seeing a set of standard smears developed to use against them. That they are all evil racists and fascists and that therefore the only choice is to support rule, by, for and of the bankers.
Doesn’t work with me, as I always vote for the best shot at beating the bankers. But I can sit back and watch the BS machines at work. Its also interesting that now the BS machines don’t seem to work against rightist. One thing many Trump voters had in common was a severe distrust of the media. At the same time, I now watch the left become very vulnerable and believing in pro-banker BS. So who can tell.
If the opposition wants to beat the bankers, obviously finding unity between opponents on the left and opponents on the right would be the death knell of the bankers. But, just as obviously, the bankers know this and long have been preparing the ground with propaganda that makes sure that the left is sure to hate the right more than the bankers and that the right hates the left more than the bankers.
To move forward, we all need to unlearn that propaganda and realize the bankers are the enemy we most need to defeat.
Hi One Tribe,
Many thanks for your fandom! That is much appreciated!
Regarding your question: “Are you some how suggesting that a Le Pen presidential victory would have been worse than Macron?”
I think I put my thoughts on comparing the two most clearly in the 6th paragraph: “…Macron has proven to be what many feared: All the fascism of Marine Le Pen, slightly less (perhaps) of the xenophobia , 100 times the austerity. What a lousy formula that is!”
Now that Macron is moving so quickly towards neo-fascism, I think he has been unmasked as being just as big a danger to everyone’s rights as Le Pen was supposed to be.
So if we have all the fascism, plus his terrible neoliberalism which would not have been equalled by Le Pen…I guess the Macron apologists will be saved by some great, new anti-xenophobia measures? I think that is unlikely, but not impossible, and such measures will not offset his terrible economic policies.
Those who formerly enjoyed civil rights will come under Sharia law. Those under Sharia law will now enjoy civil rights. That’s what happens when governments and the people who elect them forsake love and embrace power.
The French Revolution followed the American one. I hope the new American revolution associated with Trump will not follow the French counter-revolution of Macron.
In Israel there one law for Jews and another for Palestinians, in lands now in Jewish hands that once enjoyed common bands. When power replaces love, you get the law of push and shove.
I like your wisdom and wit. Saker likes it too. However, I have a quirky quibble. Your smiley picture does not match your politics, unless it does unknowingly. I know it’s de jure to smile when your picture is taken. Slaves smile for their masters or their mothers, except in police line-ups and certain passport pictures. What you have described is not a laughing matter, unless you are in unconscious agreement or conscious complicity.
I like your non-pictorial style, particularly as regards Trump, which I too share, unlike Saker and other tepid trumpers. I am more of an intrepid trumper but border on a persona non grata here at this vineyard. So take me with a grain of salt. I’m not against smiling; sometimes we are forced to smile in the face of evil. Still, it generally works better when head and heart are in synch, whereas in politics, not smiling for empire can be a liability. Cheers.
Dennis: Smile and the world smiles with ya! Cry and you cry alone.
And it is truly the only high-quality picture I have….
The more undemocratic the “democratic” West becomes, the more they beat their chest and aggressively lecture the world about democracy, freedom, liberty, human rights, etc.
Self-righteous hypocrisy doesn’t even begin to describe the Euro-Americans.
These countries are mentally warped–pathologically so.
As an America, it was fascinating to see in this piece the echo of the American elections. Here of course it was Hillary claiming that Trump was a fascist and warning that Trump might try to go into the streets to overturn the results of a psuedo, semi-democracy. Instead, after Trump pulled the upset win, it was Hillary and her supporters that tried to overturn the results of the election. First with an attempt to riot in the streets. And now with the constant calls for impeachment lacking evidence.
Of course, fascism associated with the big bankers is not exactly new. So, when you get away from the fake-personas assumed by candidates during campaigns, and look at it just in terms of class, the result and who tries to overturn an election (Hillary) and who imposes permanent authoritarian rule (Macron) isn’t so surprising at all. The candidates representing the bankers turn out to be the more fascistic people. What a surprise.
How can France be saved.? Her plight is extreme. Such care free sowing of breezes.
France has failed in north Africa and Syria.
I hope Macron does not become a byword for double down.
I can across this by Pat Buchanan and it too is well worth a read:

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but to prevent that majority why couldn’t all the other parties nominate candidates in each legislative division and get behind one candidate against Macron’s candidates in the second round?
It would allow them all to sing from the same hymn sheet, vote against a legislative dictatorship by supporting the candidate in opposition to Macron’s.
Would that work or would that be seen as too cynical and backfire?
This should be particularly easy in any electorates in which there are only 2 candidates in the second round, clearly more challenging in divisions in which there may be 3, or 4 or 5?
The issue is that both the Socialist Party and Les Republicains are for Macron. You have to avoid three candidates, not one.
I come from a fairly well-off city that has a centre-right mayor. The two people who made it to the second round are the Macron candidate and the LR one. Voting for either of these candidates would lead to the same result.
The only places you would be able to vote for a sovereignist candidate and beat Macron would be where the FN/PCF/FI made it to the second round and there are not a whole lot of them at the moment.
The problem with the French electorate is that they are being stealthily corralled into a fascism that has no face, hence extremely difficult to identify: it’s a fascism with no brown shirts, no stomping of boots, no giant parades or emblems or flags or … No external signs of any kind, just life as usual. But in the background, invisible, insidious, the noose of tyranny is tightening.
How easy it was, then to slap the external signs of fascism upon Le Pen and turn her into a Big Scary Thing!
Fortunately, Macron is not an orator like Hitler … yet. Methinks he needs more acting lessons ;)
Funny video of him addressing a mostly empty auditorium in Marseilles during his campaign:

“Fortunately, Macron is not an orator like Hitler … yet. Methinks he needs more acting lessons ;)”
Hitler was not an orator like Hitler himself. Zion employs doubles for such tricky tasks. Hitler seemed to have had at least half a dozen of them.
Writes Tyrone McCloskey:
“For my money, the best candidate for the key role of “Orator Hitler”, the guy we see in the newsreels and at the microphone, was a Bohemian actor known as Gustav Weler (sometimes spelled “Weber”).
Weler would be the actor trained and refined by Dietrich Eckart, the flamboyant theater denizen under the protection of the Prussian state theater and its director, Count Georg von Hulsen-Haeseler, son of a dead General who expired dancing for the Kaiser in a pink tutu.”

Northen Ireland Home Rule constitutional arrangements have it that UK parliament adjudicates disputes between Sinn Fein and DUP. If Tories rely on DUP for confidence the UK parliament can’t discharge its duties in Northern Ireland with clean hands…it will have a clear conflict of interest. May therefore is going to be legally prevented from forming government by way of DUP.
The UK is therefore facing a constitutional crisis.
Erdogan has created European branches of his islamist political party throughout Europe:

the same thing that happened in USA has happened in France: the people think they have dodged a bullet by choosing Macron instead of LePen. By the time they figure how wrong they are, it will be far too late;
I wanna see how the average French, accustomed to sitting in cafes all day drinking vino will react to Macron’s austerity policies and cutting all of France fabulous social benefits the French have been enjoying for decades. I wanna see how they will react when Macron starts whipping their asses to get up and go to work…
me, I will just sit on the side and laugh; the French brought it all to themselves. If they wanna be willing slaves to the corporatism EU and the Rothschilds why stop them?
This shows what people like the Rothschilds want societies everywhere to become, police states.
There is a very simple solution to solve terrorist attacks.
Bury the remains of such ‘martyrs’ in body bags, together with lots of slaughter waste of pigs. Bury that on a secret place. Film it, publish it.
European leders do not have the spine to do that. But it is the only remedy. And, installing this beloved police state was perhaps the goal after all?
A thought went through my mind that maybe people find my ‘remedy’ controversial or rude.
Therefore -and I don’t want to insult anybody- I want to share with you some dark details that has been kept out of the news almost completely.
At the terrorist attack on the Bataclan Theatre in Paris, 89 people have died.
I have seen a picture of what the theatre looked like when the police had stormed it. I’m not going to post it, because it’s very graphic. I remember when I saw it, that it were far less than 89 bodies lying there, and I was thinking where the rest was.
Months later the official police report came out, and was almost completely ignored in the MSM. The rest of the victims had been taken to the first floor, and were killed one after the other, but not shot. Also here I’m not posting links. If people want to read details I suggest to hit a search engine yourself, but please regard my warning that the details are very gruesome.
According to a few survivors, the attackers did that smiling and laughing.
This was the same as the hostage attack by Al-Shabaab in a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenia a few years ago, where all hostages were killed. Military men that had raided the mall have been seen coming out pale and vomiting about what they have found. Also here, dead silence in the MSM.
Actually, you can find passages in the Qu’ran that prescribe this (to cut an infidel as slowly as possible to pieces).
And therefore I have suggested the fitting funeral for such ‘martyrs’.
Thank you Ramin! You’re one of my favorite writers on this site. The French will stew in their own brew.. I have no sympathy for them, I know they did this to themselves as they did Hollande to themselves. I just can’t understand why they don’t vote what they think..
Remember the founder of French fascism was Georges Sorel, leader of the French Socialist Party.
