More than 9,200 locals from the Eastern Ghouta region near Damascus have joined the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and several pro-government groups since the liberation of the area on April 14, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on May 30.
Under the reconciliation agreement reached in the area, 18-42 y.o. men got a six-month period to settle their legal status and join the SAA if they have not completed their mandatory service.
On May 9, the number of locals joined government forces was about 4,000 according to the Syrian pro-opposition news outlet Damascus Voice.
The US is allegedly considering to abandon the al-Tanaf base near the Syrian-Iraqi border under a deal with Russia, which will also force Iranian-backed forces and Hezbollah to withdraw away from the border with Jordan and from the contact line with Israel, the Newsweek magazine reported on May 30. Earlier, similar rumors were fueled by Saudi and Israeli media.
On May 30, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made announce statement on the situation in southern Syria. He said that all non-Syrian forces must withdraw from the de-escalation zone, which was established by the US, Russia and Jordan in July of 2017. Some sources linked this statement with the aforementioned rumors.
Most likely, the situation can become more clear after this week visit of Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and other Israeli officials to Moscow or after the start of a military operation in southern Syria by the SAA.
ISIS mobile units carried out new attacks on government forces positions in eastern Syria engaging them near the T3 pumping station and the village of Humaymah. However, the both attacks were repelled.
The ISIS activity in eastern Syria is one of the reasons behind the SAA’s efforts to solve the Daraa militants issue as soon as possible. Then, government troops will be able to deal with the remaining ISIS terrorists in the Homs desert.
SAA’s campaign to liberate Daraa & Quneitra has been postponed as there will be a Russia-USA-Jordan meeting next week.

Israel satisfied with Russia’s stance on Iran’s military presence in Syria

All talk about “Iranian backed forces” is a smoke screen and a diversion from Israel’s real intent — its inexorable expansion into Palestine, into Lebanon, into Syria, by fair means or foul, by force or by fraud, by the IDF or by proxies:
Syrian Druze men from the Golan took photos of the IDF hanging out with Al Qaeda, they were sentenced to 14 years in an Israeli dungeon. We haven’t heard about them since, info here

Good to see big mouth Haley got shot down in the UN today. She had to use a Veto to stop a resolution on protecting the Palestinians from passing. Then had her own alternative resolution voted down with only one supporting vote, that was her vote. Apparently the biggest defeat of a resolution in UN history. Good job by the other members.
Open Fascism again. Israel, USA, UK and Ukraine are the core fascist states. They force their will on the rest of the world, then spit in our faces and mock us. But Europe and even russia (medvedev, kudrin etc) just keep letting them do it . Unfortunately until someone really stops them (war?) it will keep happening. Anglo cultural superiorty is in grained around the world, kids around the world are taught english compolsaralily, Zionist-Protestant morality is called Univerasal Morality., Money is a god for them, the natural world is just something to expolit and mine for profit, perverted sexual morals where the naked human body is a sin, yet pedofilia is laughed off, and a world view to kill arabs and africans in the most brutall way for your ‘values’ is noble, and disgusting inequality based free-market economics is still called the only economics possible. Putin, stand up, at this time maybe not war but cut all embasies of these four sick nations in Russia, ban all their corporations, first thing you see out of the airport in some of russia is a f’cking mcdonalds, Why?
Indeed.

Canthama update 6hr ago in SyrPer re Southern Front (Israel / Jordan / UKUSA) of the South Front (Syria) of the war against AZC Global terrorism:
2) Southern Front
The meeting next week between Russia, US and Jordan, in Jordan, will be very important, it is a critical meeting that will attempt to reconcile several demands from all the sides with interests in this up-coming offensive by the SAA.
a) No retaliation whatsoever from Jordan or Israel for mortars falling into areas under their control. [In other words, an end to the Israeli practice of using a sporadic mortar attacks as excuse for a full blown artillery / missile / aircraft barrage]
b) No presence of militias backed by Iran and Hizballah during this SAA offensive, nor the presence of them in a large buffer zone outside the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
c) Use of all possible political instruments to shift as many villages as possible to Dr.Assad’s reconciliation process; right now dozens of villages already signal they are ripe to surrender and reconcile, and with them thousands of terrorists would be dropping their weapons.
d) Full US retreat from al Tanf – this is a non negotiable demand by Russia and Syria.
The SAA offensive will start most likely mid June, after the end of Ramadan. Although it is expected that many villages will surrender, there are thousands of al Qaeda and ISIS among other radical groups in the area that borders on Israel / Jordan, so fierce fighting is expected until the radical terrorists surrender and are transported to Idlib.

The Resistance in the North & Northeast of Foreign-Occupied Syria Begins.
“The Syrians from the north and northeast have started to move in the direction of resisting the foreign occupiers and the traitors to the Syrian State. A conference of leaders and dignitaries of the Syrian tribes from the provinces of Aleppo, Raqqa, Al-Hasaka and Deir ez-Zor began today in Dayr Hafer city in the eastern Aleppo countryside under the title “Syrian tribes against foreign intervention and the American presence on Syrian soil.”

Things will be hot in the occupied Syria, the Arab tribes were expecting the moment the Syrian State had recovered most of its territory to stand up against the foreign occupation, there won’t be a safe place for any foreigner illegally inside Syria.” (Canthama)

What will be discussed at the high-level Russia-USA-Jordan meeting this week, and who holds what cards? By Elijah Magnier.

Pre-Russia-USA-Jordan negotiations analysis by Canthama.
” We should not expect a big bang attack in the south, all indications pointing to a scenario with multiple options:
1)
Dozens of villages have signaled positively toward reconciliation. The villagers know this war of aggression agains the Syrians is over and they want to preserve their towns at all cost, vs what happened in Yarmouk and East Ghouta for instance.
2)
We are very close to the first battles, it may actually start in Quneytra and Lajat regions. Skirmishes and shelling will be the stating point, air support will come a bit later, maybe after Ramadan.
3)
Jordan is going thru severe economic issues since its original support to the terrorists against Syria, there are signs of civil unrests lately and if it turns out to be violent, the all hell will break loose. Under this scenario, Jordan is desperate to return to full diplomatic relations with Syria and to have the main border crossing at Nassib open for trade, that would create a positive momentum for Jordan with trade back to Syria and Lebanon, and in the near future with Turkey (as soon as M5 is completely terrorist free). Jordan is putting pressure on US and Israel for this to happen.
4)
Russia was initially cautions with the southern offensive, a decision taken by the Syrian High Command, but it seems with the JCPOA US fiasco, many EU countries seem to have supported a clear resolution for Syria and they see Russia doing the most logical thing, so Lavrov was caught saying few times last week that all foreign forces should leave southern Syria (message understood toward Iran-Hizballah) but also clearly aimed at the US (al Tanf). All in one, Russia, from a light support to the southern Syrian offensive has shifted to full support and is now leading the diplomatic way with Jordan-US-Israel. The chances for this offensive to take place and the terrorists to be annihilated in southern Syria is growing by the day, with or without any deal.
5)
Clearly the terrorists in southern Syria are in a very tough spot, with Jordan now siding to return Nassib to Syria, the terrorists have little to hope in any re supply lines, even from the US bases in Jordan. Having said that, the terrorists may have sat images help from Israel and US as the battle starts.
6)
There are lot of comments on the web that the terrorists in southern Syria are not like in East Ghouta, East Aleppo blah blah, but the fact is that they can beat 1,500 fellow ISIS terrorists that hold 6-7 villages in SW Daraa, how would they fare against many thousands of elite SAA and RuAF/SAAF ? There may be several stages for this large operation, no doubt the city of Daraa has all the ingredients to a fierce fight, but in plains, the SAA with RuAF CAS should fare well and advance toward Nassib with strength and speed.” (Canthama)
I gather, perhaps wrongly, that Syria is expelling foreign, uninvited troops in order to erase the leftover ISIS troops
in Syria? Seeing that ISIS ji-had soldiers are paid for by the U.S. as proxy forces, this may also be why the U.S. has to leave? High level U.S, Generals (Mattis, Pompeo) just stated they might never leave Syria, so this is a surprise, but welcome.
Thousands of ISIS troops have been recently sent to enter Russia to make war there too.
Let us not marginalize Syria’s decision to assert sovereignty over its internationally recognized territory by raising an irrelevant secondary concern.
