dont cry for me argentina !
———————————————–
when i heard argentina navy sank a chinese fishing boat alarm bell started ringing crazy in my head.
wtf, aint argentina a buddy of china ?
i immediately did some digging, silly me, argentina had a quiet change of guard in dec 15.
the new prez macri is a darling of washington !
good ole peter koenig had the details
*Absorbed by their own fate and fear, Europeans have hardly eyes to see beyond their Continent, their sphere of self-interest. The neoliberal coup d’état in Argentina happened almost unnoticed. Never mind that it is just about bringing some 42.5 million people (2015 pop. estimate) under Washington’s rule.
………………..
In 2011 Mauricio Macri asked the US Embassy in Buenos Aires to launch a strong anti-Kirchner campaign, slandering her and her political alliances, thereby massively discrediting Cristina Kirchner’s Presidency. It did not work for Macri in 2011, as Cristina Kirchner was re-elected. But the Washington-driven anti-Kirchner and anti-FPV campaign expanded massively until this past election. And it paid off.
……………………………………………
South America had proudly achieved over the past 20 years a degree of independence from its Washington masters, no other western region has reached – least the vassal states of Europe. With this neoliberal, largely unnoticed coup d’état in Argentina, the Subcontinent of South America, is, indeed, gradually turning into what President Obama calls his ‘backyard’. In the Center-North are Peru and Colombia, neoliberal strongholds of the US; and now the Southern Cone is gone.
All the while the Great Dictator and its paid foreign minions are diligently working at discrediting the Governments of Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela, and of Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil; the former with infiltrated and local mercenaries spreading unrest and violence; the latter with defamation of corruption linked to the oil giant Petrobras, all manufactured via henchmen and associated banks in Florida and New York. Corruption is always an easy accusation – difficult to prove, yet very effective with the common people – in discrediting their government. An accusation coming from the most corrupt, criminal rogue state of this globe – the United States of America.

plainsman,
*In an interview with CNN’s Spanish language station, Obama this week hailed Macri’s coming to power as the advent of a “new era.” He charged that Fernandez’s policies “were always anti-American” and that her government had not “adapted to the global economy as effectively” as it could.
Macri’s “adaptation” has taken the form of mass layoffs of public employees, now reportedly totaling over 100,000, attacks on social programs and a move to rapidly pay off the so-called vulture funds, which bought up Argentina’s debt at bargain prices and then refused to settle along with other creditors, holding the country hostage for full face value. Among the principal beneficiaries will be US billionaire and prominent Republican Party contributor Paul Singer, who stands to gain a 369 percent return on his investment.*

*It’s no coincidence that three major BRICS nations are simultaneously under attack — on myriad levels: Russia, China and Brazil. The concerted strategy by the Masters of the Universe who dictate the rules in the Wall Street/Beltway axis is to undermine by all means the BRICS’s collective effort to produce a viable alternative to the global economic/financial system, which for the moment is subjected to casino capitalism. It’s unlikely Lula, by himself, will be able to stop them. *

I posted this on the 16th Café and have added to it here with the more neutral headlines from other MSM sources. What concerns me is the extent to which the BBC has descended to tabloid hype and the sheer viciousness of their russophobia. Granted the latter has always been there but does anyone know why there is this exponential increase over the last few years -more so than other MSM outlets?
“Sadly there has been another airliner crash with all on board killed. This involved a FlyDubai Boeing 737-800 at Rostov-on-Don. Bad weather appears a major factor and one could also speculate pilot error (getHomeItis perhaps?) if conditions were inappropriate for landing.
This was the second approach and from the video, if authentic, the plane appears to me to have broken up in the air as the descent is at about 60 degrees, in freefall and on fire prior to impact just before the runway threshold. Of the possibilities that occur to me, only a tall structure/ground off camera, severe turbulence, lightning strike, flight control inputs beyond the design stress limits, mid-air collision or some internal explosion could cause that fire prior to landing.
Using Google maps I am having dificulty placing the camera location -so close to the runway with a dual lane road, trees in between and cars zipping along it. Aksayskiy Avenue perhaps?

As vulgar, cowardly and despicable as ever, the British bloviator though never misses an opportunity for a first impression ‘Russia stab in the back’ villifier meme:
The headline you first saw was “Russia plane crash’, now modified to “Russia plane crash: Dozens killed in Rostov-on-Don”
No matter that only the location is in Russia near the Ukraine border. The aircraft is American and the airline from Dubai, but the meme connection tells you that it is “Russia plane” and “crash”.
You have to read further to get the details that tell a slightly different story. Clever, eh?”
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35850167
More neutral headlines:
Globe and Mail: Plane from Dubai crashes in Russia, all 62 on board killed
CNN: Airliner crashes in Russia; 55 reported dead
AP: Dubai airliner crashes in Russia killing all 62 on board
NYT: Plane From Dubai Crashes at Russian Airport, Killing 62
WSJ: FlyDubai Plane Crashes in Russia, Killing All 62 Aboard
Having listened to the tower conversation with FlyDubai 981 the visibility was reasonable (over 2,000 feet) and the wind was 27 mph gusting to 40 -a strong wind but little crosswind component. Landing runway 22 (ie approx. 220 degrees) wind from 230 degrees. No wind sheer reported, no high buildings on approach.
They have a localiser but not sure about glideslope so maybe there was terrain impact outside video view followed by a climb and breaking up.
I realise this is of little interest to most on here but there has to be more to this than the weather conditions reported by the tower -they are not anywhere near enough to destroy an aircraft of this size and a stall/spin would not cause the midair fire shown on the video.
The black box data will hopefully shed more light.
Re the BBC’s recent exponential increase in Russophobia; the organisation is currently under siege from the government with very real threats of being broken up/taken over if it doesn’t spout the government approved line. The BBC has always been a propaganda channel but historically it also enjoyed a fair bit of freedom to explore dissenting (left-wing/socialist) views, that is no longer the case in the last few years since the government crack-down.
The same thing has happened at the Guardian newspaper as well which, almost overnight, (after a raid by the intelligence services to destroy copies of Snowden’s files on a reporter’s laptop) completely changed the tone of its reporting to boiler plate neo-con.
I read the Saker every day instead.
Thanks, I check the BBC as a barometer of what the Hegemon directed vassals are spinning. Being arguably the worst, it’s a useful reference point for propaganda and I enjoy dissecting both the blatant and subtle memes.
I don’t check the ‘abruptly changed’ Guardian much as without looking at other sources first I never know what to believe and what not to believe -except on certain subjects where their bias is consistently blatant. They are also losing money hand over fist daily and in a financial death spiral.
Back to FlyDubai 981 as the western vassals will try and get as much russophobia mileage out of this as possible. Blame the control tower personnel etc.
Here’s a coded weather report from 2pm local time for the Rostov airport:
URRR 182000Z 25007MPS 7000 -SHRA SCT017 SCT036CB OVC100 07/03 Q1001 R22/290057 TEMPO 25013G18MPS 1000 SHRA BR SCT003 BKN020CB RMK QFE743/0991
The factors that stand out are SCT036CB and SCT003 BKN020CB which, decoded, mean that clouds are scattered at 3600 feet and contain thunderclouds and there are temporary expectations of clouds at 300 feet above runway and thunderclouds at 2000 feet.
One possibility then is extreme microburst (downwards moving air from thunderclouds) and a lightning hit. The video shows sparking flames before it hit the runway and a very fast and steep angle of descent. Another possibility is that FlyDubai 981 hit the ground out of view and bounced up in flames.
There is a remote possibility of an incorrect altimeter setting as there is I think tower/cockpit mixed conversation about QNH and QFE, the first being the elevation of runway 22 (280 feet above sea level) and the second the height above ground. With possible cloud cover at 300 feet this could be a factor in a height mix-up, although all these aircraft have radio altimeters which bounce a radio signal off the ground and give actual height above ground.
How would The Independent fare in comparison with The Guardian and others in veracity of its reporting? I ask since The Independent is owned by a Russian oligarch, Alexander Lebedev (also the owner of London Evening Standard). He bought it in March 2010 for 1 (one!) British pound (the paper had been losing money).
@ Anon:
“How would The Independent fare in comparison with The Guardian and others in veracity of its reporting? [..]”
In my personal experience, the Independent is, give or take, 50% biased while the Guardian is 100-plus percent biased every time on nearly every issue: they’re pro-EU, anti Scottish Independence, pro-immigration, pro-multiculturalism, anti-Russia, anti-Putin, pro-Ukronazi, anti-China, anti-Iran, anti North Korea, pro wars of aggression [provided they can spin it under some humanitarian pretext], pro blacklivesmatter but to hell with anyone else, pro-Obama unless it’s about something like GITMO, they’re rabidly Green; so Global Warming, renewable energy or zero-carbon energy [even Nuclear is fine with these nuts], polar bears floating away on melted ice is all you gonna read from them on “environmental” issues, pro-benefit cheats but only if they’re from their approved list of “minorities,” pro ‘free trade’ unless it’s TTIP because they see as ‘hip’ to oppose it, not because they really do oppose it, anti-austerity but again: only because it’s ‘hip’ and popular with middle-class students. And, oh sweet mother of god! I could go on and on…. FFS that list reads like a Soros funded NGO/5th-Column wet dream!
In short, if you’re not sure about what stance to take on any issue you’re not 100% sure about, just buy their paper or log-on to the Guardian site, read about it there, and immediately take the opposite stance. I swear. You can’t go wrong.
IT IS that bad!
Now, with the Independent, you do get the odd voice of reason here and there even though – it must be said – for the most part they do stick to the MSM shared song-sheet they’re all singing from, but then again… so does RT :/
My two cents :-) Hope that helps…
-TL2Q
The latest thought is that, on the video, what looks like the 737-800 on fire in a 60 degree descent is actually flare from the landing lights. The aircraft is banked 90 degrees left and diving 60 degrees down -so that you are looking at the underside. The plane is intact but in an unrecoverable stall at that low altitude and I suspect it was preceded by another missed approach go-around.
The brightness of the landing lights overwhelms the security video camera sensor.
TWO anniversaries—I see Vlad got first elected president March 26, 2000.
Iran marks the 65th anniversary of the nationalization of its oil industry, which is viewed as a momentous breakthrough in the country’s independence from the West, PressTV reports.
On March 20, 1951, members of the Iranian parliament voted unanimously in favor of a bill introduced by the country’s then democratically-elected prime minister, Mohammad Mosaddeq, to nationalize Iran’s oil industry.

What’s going on? What am I missing?
From Yahoo and the Economist of all places, despite all their double-dealing lying, I hear that Russians are celebrating the returning troops with tears of joy and fresh baked bread.
I came to the vineyard, hoping to partake of some of that joyful bread but I can’t find any, not even a crumb.
There’s so much bad news that sometimes I think that’s all there is. I’m disappointed that the rare good news is not proclaimed like a gospel of Good News.
By the way, that art photo of the face through the chair is awesome, with the curvaceous chair back standing in for her body.

Thanks. You made my day.
I missed the ladies with the bread and the joyous smiles by not reading Scott’s header carefully. I assumed it was a travel-log but it turned out to be the gem I was looking for. Leave it to Scott to uncover the hidden treasure.
The jets are awesome of course but in my view of the world the women with the bread and the children with the flowers are what it’s all about. The men and a few women of the military are absolutely necessary as Putin pointed out.
Man’s whole purpose is to serve women, children and the earth, and in the present case they have done it oh so well.
Russia is playing the part of the Dutch boy who put his thumb in the hole in the dike to prevent the whole countryside from being washed away. The dikes are bigger now with the whole world at risk of being washed away in a second flood.
In reviewing the comments of the last few days, my fail-safe sensor picked up the trail of money amid all the satisfaction of military success. We’ve been warned before about the downside of too much success in one area while a more critical spot goes from benign to malignant.
My mole in the hole tells me Putin is waiting til after he’s elected again to put his trump into play. In the meantime we here in the vineyard have our own role to play to complement Russia’s lonesome road.

The Shinawatra’s, brother and sister are – were the US tools in Thailand. Their supporters are in the minority and resort to bombings and such when they are out of power.
Thailand as led by the military has turned away from the US and towards China. The military I think is loyal to the Thai royalty, as are much of Thailand. Although the Royals don’t seem to be much involved in things political, possibly they may give some overall guidance. Something that would need looking into more I think to fully understand what is happening in Thailand.
Putin 2014 Sochi.
The measures taken against those who refuse to submit are well-known and have been tried and tested many times. They include use of force, economic and propaganda pressure, meddling in domestic affairs, and appeals to a kind of ‘supra-legal’ legitimacy when they need to justify illegal intervention in this or that conflict or toppling inconvenient regimes. Of late, we have increasing evidence too that outright blackmail has been used with regard to a number of leaders. It is not for nothing that ‘big brother’ is spending billions of dollars on keeping the whole world, including its own closest allies, under surveillance.

Najib? I have been trying to work out if there is anything they can make stick. I suspect there is, but they cannot come out and say NSA has all this evidence. The initial allegations were led by the UK I guess to try and divert attention from the source.

here’s a piece by wayne madsen,
http://www.intrepidreport.com/archives/12257
thailand’s situation is a bit complex,
tony catalucci for example, says the current military junta had
deposed the thaksin clan who’s washington’s lackeys.
i tends to take the view of wayne madsen even tho some accused him as a psyop agent.
i heard the thaksin clan had solid support in the rural area,
yingluck was brought down by way of *swarming mobs*, which reeks of cia’s color rev m.o.
thanks for your input,
i’ll be out of the loop for a while.

peter au
please see my reply to plainsman,
the thaksin clan were hardly anti murkkan, but they might’ve committed an unpardonable sin in the eyes of the mou, just like najib, birendra, chavez, sri lanka’s ex prez…. etc etc.
thailand and most sea military are infested with graduates of west point or even the notorious school of amerikka [whats its new name again ?], who tend to be pro murkkans.
note that the plum job of the main high speed railway proj is now given to jp,
if im not mistaken yingluck was gonna award it to china before her downfall !
thanks for your input,
i’ll be out of the loop for a while.
@ Denk.
Initially I also thought the “coup” in Thailand was US. Madsen? Links for his theory? Documents?
The US/NED golden girl in Myanmar has also gone to China and met with Xi.
Catalucci has been very solid on this region usually/often with links to US documents or to the reasons for what he is saying..
Also Thailand history. Thailand/Siam have never been a colonial property.
peter au,
wayne madsen also produced lots of *scoops* which were very convincing which i find highly plausible,
but there were times i found his view suspicious.
perhaps both madsen and catalucci are psyop agents ?
we shall see, may be time will tell ?
p.s.
one more point,
post ww2 every *popular uprising* turned out to be fukus ff,
including the *peoples movements* that brought down marcos of ph, shah of iran,
those were just the empire’s changing of guards.
the socalled arab springs were no exeption, all made in usa !
points to ponder ?

Vlad is in the Kremlin with his feet up. It’s Sunday afternoon, and he’s taking a break. Deciding to take a look at Saker’s and catch up with ‘the best in the west’ – (he goes there not for the latest news reports, but to read the regular updates on his popularity ratings among the great, alternative masses – always feeling better after a good dose of unadulterated hero worship)
He visit’s the café site, which as he knows moves from city to city, occasioned by the necessity of the high level journalism of the articles at Saker’s.. He see’s instantly that the movable feast is now in Copenhagen. Viewing the gorgeous brunette alone in the corner, he determines to head straight there – it’s Sunday afternoon- a quick round trip won’t hurt he thinks, glancing at his watch and throwing on one of his disguise outfits.
He decides to brush up on his Swedish first; after all, he cannot afford ever to make a mistake, with anything, anywhere!!!
After arriving at Copenhagen he therefore has a quick lesson in Swedish pronunciation:

Air Force One with Obama and his family has just landed in La Habana after more than 80 years without any President of the US visiting Cuba.

‘Yemeni army beat down the Israeli commander of DynCorp in Taiz’
“Yemeni forces carried out on Saturday an attack with Katyusha rockets at the positions of the mercenaries of DynCorp in the region of Al-Dhubab in Taiz, where they ended the life of the Israeli commander of the company, identified as Avram Benyamin Hazel, indicated Sunday the Yemeni news agency Khabaragency.
The source also maintained that among the killed mercenaries is also Ryanen Cheskov, who had participated in the massacre of Srebrenica where in 1995 Bosnian Serb troops killed 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men even though this was an area protected by the United Nations.
The other mercenaries killed are of Croatian and South African nationality, it added.”

elsi,
yemen is another node in the mou’s nefarious plan to control all the oil chokepoints…..
*An excuse for a US or NATO militarization of the waters around Bab el-Mandab would give Washington another major link in its pursuit of control of the seven most critical oil chokepoints around the world, a major part of any future US strategy aimed at denying oil flows to China, the EU or any region or country that opposes US policy. Given that significant flows of Saudi oil pass through Bab el-Mandab, a US military control there would serve to deter the Saudi Kingdom from becoming serious about transacting future oil sales with China or others no longer in dollars, as was recently reported by UK Independent journalist Robert Fisk.
It would also be in a position to threaten China’s oil transport from Port Sudan on the Red Sea just north of Bab el-Mandab, a major lifeline in China’s national energy needs.*

Let’s rock! speaking of the media, and things international and universal, today is the 331st birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach. This great man, only 331 years young today, one of the greatest representative of things eternal, of a shared perception of the world’s great truths and realities through music.
Now we see this shared perception of a universal awareness in the growing recognition worldwide, of the struggle and fight for Mother Russia, the fight for truth and for Universal Brotherhood! Congrats Newsbud!

“except two words.”
Sorry, and thank you Mod, enthusiasm and forgetfulness yes, mathematics no, definitely not!
All the same, “Let’s rock!” and “Congrats Newsbud!”, makes four words, not two. Last I remember from school, 2 and 2 = 4.
But on the subject of Maths, listening to an interview about a year ago with a top female mathematics professor, it was interesting how she spoke about her career and her developing love for the subject as a teenager. I think she would have agreed that there are many aspects in which mathematics are ‘only a bit mathematical’.
Could the foundations of the earth and the universe be based upon numbers?
Just saw some good news. The Russian court in Donetsk (haha, not “that” Donetsk. But interestingly a town in Russia by that same name). Has found the hyena “Savchenko guilty of Russian journalists’ murder, illegal border crossing”.I have a feeling Ukraine, the EU,and the US,is going to throw a furious temper tantrum today.I just hope Russia doesn’t do some “prisoner release” BS now.
Today there is a lovely interview with Maria Zakharova in Sputnik on her real life, and I was surprised to know that she has no service, nor cook, at home, but cooks by herself. Nor does a stylist, she herself choose her clothes and she fixes her hair or goes to the hairdresser, except when there is some official act, when her hair is done in a place prepared for it.
I liked knowing that her family have always had adopted dogs from shelters and so it is her dog right now. She also has a dacha, summer house, like many Russians, which I could know by my old friend senior strategist, who told me that from April to September I was not going to find Russians in Moscow if I decided to travel at that time, because they run to their dachas as soon as the weekend starts.
I do not know but she seemed to me a very simple woman, and also very realistic, for what she says on satisfaction in life and parenting.

Hello everyone. You all probably know most of this, but it really finalized my understanding of what went down on 9/11, Zionists and the War On/Of Terror. Christopher Bollyn, excellent presentation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FC3sn1JxLM
Peace (as in, fat chance of, with this crowd at the helm)

Thank you for the interesting video.
FlyDubai 981 has vanished from the media as it seems russophobic villification memes are no longer possible.
Weather played a large factor, weather information could not be faulted (too conservative -it seems any convective cloud is considered a thunderstorm there) and in the less likely event of technical failure the aircraft was American and the airline from Dubai. Crew error is likely.
Here’s a fine example of a nonsense headline, bristling russophobe (Tusk) and the obligatory last paragraph reinforcer meme:
Ukraine vows swift end to political crisis, wins EU offer of visa-free travel
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-ukraine-crisis-eu-idUSKCN0WJ1S8
Similar reinforcer ending meme from the British Bloviator Corp.:
Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko given 22-year sentence
“Moscow annexed the Crimea peninsula in March 2014 after an unrecognised referendum on self-determination, and is accused of covertly supporting separatist rebels in the bloody conflict in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine”
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35873683
I am sure the bloviator and the Tusk cartel are hard at work trying to find any connection to blame Putin for Brussels.
More lies and non sequiturs from AP:
Nadezhda Savchenko, Ukrainian pilot, given 22-year sentence by Russian court Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has offered a prisoner swap
“Fighting between Russia-backed separatists and government troops in eastern Ukraine, which flared up after Moscow’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula, has killed more than 9,100 people and left the rebel-held areas isolated from the rest of Ukraine”
