Yes,betrayal is everywhere,on Earth,in the Sky.What could we do against it ? we can pray but that solves nothing, apparently even the good angels are not listening, too much suffering in this unjust world, too much hate and darkness,is sickening.Changing our lifestyle ? not everyone could do that,of course there are some lucky peoples around. It seems, the destiny is underlined long before.
The everyday struggle is sucking so much energy from us,we even don’t get that one day will have to pass away.Do we take our belongings with us,even we are rich and powerful ? not a iota. Thus,we are fighting and struggling to complete our dream.A long or a short travel on earth. Are we dreaming our life or we live our dream ? or is this life some kind of joke ? who are we,where we came from and what is the reasoning to be here ? why we are so different in terms of skin color, ethnicity, race ? who created all this and why so ? is the Earth a playground for
Gods ? they must have a very good joy.And what if the playground is destroyed who will play for them ? Religions and philosophy are good as far as they can give you a relief,an isle of hope in the dark days but the same relief and hope can give ideologies, whatever they are.Who is right and who is wrong – typical questions followed by blaming parade.Communism and capitalism, socialism and national-socialism,monarchy or not,and we were part of those experiences.Something new please or the room is empty ? maybe one day, some alien spaceships will appear and the whole world shall get astonished and the aliens as some good parents : ” ok,children, the game is over, now we will go home together…”
An interesting comment ioan – our questions are all the same & remain unanswered…”we just don’t know”.
I guess the overriding question is:
if knowing what you do now for an instant before you came into being of how your existence would proceed until this point would you choose to exist?
Although I think I know my own answer I’m not totally sure.
I think I know it too,but of course I’m also not totally sure, mostly because it is for each person to decide for himself. The point is : we know nothing
I got annoyed by another one of these “Anonymous” characters ( I was one of them for a while, until O’Leary made an inquiry as to gender, as in “brother or sister, anonymous?”) on the Socialism in Vermont thread.
I just reread ioan’s comment which I barely skimmed the first time, just before enjoying the Yeats reading. It prompted me to paste my homeschooling for Anonymous pest (a term of endearment, pest….my youngest was christened “The Pest of the West” by his older brother……..) here:
I can’t seem to get any of my not-so-agapic replies to Anonymous with the snide suggestions through the moderator, so let’s try Agape.
By the way, others, this is not an entirely personal p***ing contest between Bro Anon and Anonymous. There is a broader point that more than a few people besides Anonymous may not yet understand about the human construct of Number, that is worth the time to at least introduce..
Which leads in fairly short order to 911 and the flight numbers, especially 93, but it is obvious that a few short tutorials are required, in order to not leave most of the skeptics (easily 99% of all persons…yes I understand this is an uphill task……) scratching their heads and deciding to remain where exactly where they are, without further investigation, wandering about “on the checkerboard floor of the house”.
All I will go over today is Anonymous’ number, the number of Ego, the number NINE.
In free masonry, it is also known as the number of Base Consciousness. It has a corollary, which is the physical symbol known as “The Floor of the House” generally, or more specifically “The Checkerboard floor of black and white tiles at the base of the Temple of Solomon”.
These rich allegories pertain to human consciousness AND specifically also, to the structure of the human brain. Ignorance of these matters is ignorance of yourSELF!
Sol= Sun, the Sacred Masculine, the left hemisphere of the brain Mon= Moon, The Goddess, The Sacred Feminine, the right hemisphere of the brain. But we’re getting ahead, aren’t we?
The property of the number 9 is that adding it or multiplying using it fails to get you off the “floor of the house”. It does not “go anywhere”, it cannot rise:
9+ 8= 17 1+7 = 8 9 cannot change 8 (or ANY other number!) through addition of 9.
Nor through multiplication. 9 X 7 = 63 6+3 = 9 You start with 9, you are back to 9 ALWAYS.
9 X 2784 = 25,056 2+ 5 + 0 +5 + 6 = 18 1+8 = 9 You start with 9, you are back to 9 ALWAYS.
You start with EGO, add that to anything, without Care or Love, and all you get is more EGO.
The End, Number Symbology Tutorial #1
Yes, ioan, those fear ridden elites who have humanity trapped wandering about on the floor DO intend to keep it that way. But the possibilities of either permanently locked down slavery or greater freedom than ever before imagined are both looming before us, as the arrow of Time flies forward.
Oh, i forgot to add that 666, the number of incompletion (777 being the number of completion) is the same as the number for Ego or base consciousness, the # 9.
How, why? Elementary!: 6 + 6+ 6 = 18 1+8 = 9
Get off the floor and the weight of mind control begins to lift off the crown chakra. Understand a few things that “the masters of the house” understand about the human psyche, but wish to hog for themselves as a power differential over others………..loveless slaves to fear that they are!
“And there’s more!” but I got to go house hunt and get through many, many more tutorials for my own education……. 70 down, about 125 to go, each 90 -120 minutes………
Thanks Anonymous and Bro Anon for your comments. My life was full of learning and it is so till today, moreover with each step I learn that I know merely nothing. The numerology was also one of those steps,it hasn’t change my life, with the equivalent of book – study,I became the same amount of teachings in the real life or maybe even more.like a soldier who gets his training in the barracks but the real war is something very different. Now I am again driven by destiny,my mom is gravely ill,is lying in her bed and my heart is very sad.
ioan, my thoughts are with you.
Ours is but to do and die. I guess when young we think life will go on forever.
Coming to terms with how short our lives are – a blink of time in history – I guess everyone has to do in their own way. It doesn’t seem to be something that comes from a book.
When I’m gone I will be in my children’s memories, and if I keep going a few more years my grandchildren may have memories of me, but once they are gone nobody will remember me.
I guess I come to terms with life and how short it could be early on.
For me, bringing up my children so they could make their own way in this world has been my only ambition in life. If I could do something else as well, well and good, but giving my kids a good start with life so they in turn could have their own family, see their own children grow into adults came above anything else. And by a good start in life I mean in the way they think and in their attitude to life rather than money.
My wife put in the hard yards of our kids formal schooling, reading, writing, maths ect, but after year 10 they had to go away to boarding school for year 11 and 12 as distance education only went to year 10. I also wanted them to see another side of life to the largely isolated life we had led.
My son was the eldest and dropping him off at boarding school was the hardest day of my life. The next year my eldest daughter would be gone, and two years later the younger daughter. If I had done my job right none would return home after their last two years of schooling as they would be busy making their own way in life.
I missed my son a lot when he went away to boarding school and each time he came home for holidays I would have to talk him into going back to school for the next term as he hated school just like I did.
The day he got married he told me that what he had learnt in those last couple of years away at boarding school had helped him a lot in the years since.
He still rings from time to time when he wants advice on a problem and we end up talking until the phone batteries go flat. Daughters ring more often just for a chat and sometimes I can help them with some problem.
For each of us I guess, we feel like we are the center of the universe, especially when young. Then we have to come to terms with the insignificant speck in time that our lives really are.
Cheer up, Peter, and keep chugging. You’re not done yet. Few of us are. We are just tacking against the wind now.
I dispute your line from “The Charge of the Light Brigade”
That’s mind control, Peter. On behalf of Empire, the Great Game against Russia, Crimea
However being a seaman myself (Bering Sea and Northeast Pacifc 5 years) in imitation of my dad (in 1941 boarded the Kaiulani 3 masted sailing ship in Abeerden, Washington bound for Capetown, South Africa with a load of lumber.. ……

rounded the Horn (Patagonia, Argentina about Dec 6, 1941) went on to Hobart , Tasmania and ended at Sydney where he enlisted in the US ARMY. Surely one of the last if not THE last commercial square rigged sailing voyages on planet earth…….
I did recite Alfred Lord Tennyson at his funeral, bobbing up and down on a power boat in Puget Sound:
Crossing the Bar
BY ALFRED, LORD TENNYSON
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
Ours is but to do and die.? My modified version of the original quote for for the average mass of humanity.
A few are remembered throughout history. The ancient mathematicians and philosophers left something good for the world. The ancient emperors and conquerors left very little except their names in history books.
The average person is not remembered much beyond their children and grandchildren’s memories.
I have no problems with that, but who knows, everyone commenting here may live on for a long time in NSAs hard drives :)
Peter, I understand you are not endorsing Tennyson’s point of view against Russia in the Crimean War, but are using the quote poetically in another context. Sometimes I get a little formal. Forgive me.
Still, it is a bit pessimistic of a notion, for my taste.
The body WILL die, every adult that is not on LSD realizes that.
The spirit, the soul might NOT die. Every child and adult realizes that that is a possibility, but exactly how that might work, most of us spend a few decades wondering about, before we can assert that we know for sure, yea or not
As for the NSA listening, I certainly hope so.
Now if you are in a spiritual war, or a shooting war, for that matter, in my view, you might as well concede the obvious from the outset: Your body, my body and no one else’s body is coming out of this alive.
In a certain sense, realizing that we are “already dead” (it’s just a matter of time…..) gives a certain impetus and courage to the spiritual warrior, who is not reckless with his body, but has a far better chance of accomplishing his or her spiritual mission assignment, no matter what kind of war we are talking about, than if the concentration is on the smaller self and its body rather than the larger Self.
There are some human beings in the NSA. Let’s give them a chance to learn something about the fight they are really in, (but may not know it yet):
Tutorial # 1 for NSA data collectors and data reviewers: Your dark occult masters who deploy you and pay you call you and others like you in the police and military “Our dogs” and “Our pets.” and have utter contempt for you and the Constitution they may have brainwashed you into believing that you might be defending. HAHAHAHAHA that’s a real knee-slapper for them!!!!!!! WAKE UP.
Cheers Bro Anon…. US seems to be cracking down on humans in NSA with prosecutions of whistle blowers ect. But this cannot go on forever and the whistle blowers will go underground.
We are at a turning point in history and the future is undecided.
9 is the number of mastery or mystery…..you delve deep into all sorts of esoteric teachings and systems, but unless you achieve the wisdom of the heart ( by either an act of grace or as the Buddhist say, a ripening of karma) it all remains a mystery which paradoxically is where the spiritual master stands anyway—in the deep, humility of “I do not know”..
ioan, may the travails you face with your mother’s illness lead you to that divine place of awe in the face of the mystery and may you experience the love that conquors death and may you become comfortable in standing in the place of paradox.
Anonymous at 5:54 pm I will second that “heart chakra” emotion. For everyone. You, me, ioan, Peter, anyone reading this, etc, etc.
When people are asked to point to that part of them where their true self resides, they point to their heart, not their head, in overwhelming numbers………….without hesitation.
Bro;reading recently, can’t hunt it up now, I think a link on mercola, not only does the community of gut flora send signals to the brain via the vagus nerve,, there is a neuron conglomerate assembly on the heart which is also in constant modulation exchange with the brain. I will try to find it when I am rested; the implications are enormous.
Gut, gut flora is as essential as any other organ like heart and liver. Very little research in this area as it generally results in things that are are termed as chronic fatigue syndrome or similar. Medical research seems to concentrate on terminal conditions that can be combated with patented drugs.
Now this is getting suitably esoteric plainsman and Peter!
Mercola, gut flora, vagus nerve, chronic fatigue, abdominal bloating (my associative addition), “a neuron conglomerate assembly ……in constant modulation exchange with the brain”.
Oh my God! I have been focusing on the international strategic situation, and there are enemy coups, color revolutions, proxy wars, EW going on inside me and everyone else!
And I don’t even know the vagus nerve from a battery cable.
I feel like Serbia……………. I have to figure all of this out on the fly while under full court press Hegemon attack, get rid of GMOs in my diet, closely monitor my brain waves for enemy hacking operations, and learn how to speed read so I can absorb mountains of combat manuals on everything from the weak flanks in the spiritual armor of the fake illuminati to how to get my liver and vagus nerve operating at more than 20% efficiency.
As above, so below. As in the macrocosm, so in the microcosm.
Hey Bro Anon, this comment was fabulous, the child in me has appreciated it as well.
iaon, I’ll try to add something more when I can. But I don’t quite have the quality control thing down pat yet. There is still more randomness and inefficiency than I can afford, with the time I have left.
Today I ran into a lot of enemy consciousness flak, got indigestion about not having the energy to get my discovery ready for the next cafe (it already opened) and I was a bit nasty to a departing guest over there, because their cynicism activated mine.
Working on it. And your feedback helps. So will some rest. See ya soon.Ciao!
Here’s one article citing some experiments. Will dig around some more.
btw did you guys find time for The Old Huntsman?(Sassoon). Elsi?

All is interconnected. A premise of number fetishism. The notion that the ‘elite’ would be masters of the sacred arts is a gross overestimation of their capabilities. Even the few dark overlords are in effect only capable of scratching the surface of the Mysteries. Without ‘Heart’ one may knock but one can not enter. Nor is entrance achieved by a mere secret handshake. Entrance is safeguarded by the laws of Nature which reach way beyond mainstream physics. The Heart’s mystery concerns the interconnectedness of all.
Number 9 is the quintessential number, the ennead of divine order, the triple trinity, the number of the initiate.
…
Marko Rodin’s vortex based mathematics has revealed interesting aspects of the quintessential number 9.
A lengthy, unconventional introduction to his work back in his early days:

…
human 2.0 says “The notion that the ‘elite’ would be masters of the sacred arts is a gross overestimation of their capabilities. Even the few dark overlords are in effect only capable of scratching the surface of the Mysteries.”
Now you’re cooking with gas instead of dried Bactrian camel dung! https://youtu.be/ztQUab3NEvM
The purpose in Love is to “Go all the way” and these “elites” of a garbage can decided to stop with the mysteries, numbers, symbols and everything else just as soon as they gained a slight knowledge and power differential over the mass of humanity which still has its lips pressed to the black and white tiles of the floor of the house, the Temple of Solomon.
They are in fear and are only masters of Fear, the opposite of Love. Love conquers all. But they know it not. Except in the perverted sense of loving fear and fearing love!!! Sickos!!!
They have done a number on themselves, and on the human race. But I kind of think we can get their number and turn these hermaphrodites inside out and back to “normal”.
Although it may not be easy, what better work is there to do??
42?? I really don’t know what Anonymous at 11.16 am 4 days ago is talking about. But it appears he is either in fear or (she?) has better things to do than teach you and me.
It could have something to do with 7 X 6…………………
But he/she ain’t talking, preferring to occult whatever he/she knows. Out of the closet of darkness, Anonymous Shadow!!! (You’ve just been given a handle.Use it or lose it.)
Courage! Light! Love!
If you get out of this world and into intergalactic flights of fantasy as to the ultimate question, the number is 42. Even the Troglodytes at “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe” knew that to be the answer.
Kim
Break it down, Kim. Don’t occult it. That’s how most of humanity’s problems originated.
ALL things uncomely and broken, all things worn out and old,
The cry of a child by the roadway, the creak of a lumbering cart,
The heavy steps of the ploughman, splashing the wintry mould,
Are wronging your image that blossoms a rose in the deeps of my heart.
The wrong of unshapely things is a wrong too great to be told;
I hunger to build them anew and sit on a green knoll apart,
With the earth and the sky and the water, remade, like a casket of gold
For my dreams of your image that blossoms a rose in the deeps of my heart.
W.B. Yeats (1865–1939).
Very appropriate poetry. Thank you, but hang around the Cafe’s, bring more, including a handle to distinguish you from mere passersbys, if you could.
I look forward to more cafe poetry readings, and will bring more myself, especially Russian.
Well then Bro and everyone, since we’re doing poetry, I found this in a 1920-something English Lit. book of my mothers, and have always liked sharing it. Part of the message is that every Englishman isn’t bad. Sassoon was of a well-to-do family with a German mother, a not uncommon occurrence in the 19th century. When WW1 came he especially had to enlist, was shot in the head, recovered, and wrote this homage to an old friend. His associates were the other anti-war poets of his time, Wilfred Owen et. al. I can’t paste the whole thing but it is a good link.

of the standard order
whom Christ defined as blessed, happy
cursed, shunned now
in society
Shocking us
forcing us to reconsider
stopping to read the words
how we live, in our freedom
as Christ’s followers
claiming his kinship
as children of God
Do we measure up
are we faithful
able to claim these blessings
in our nation
on this day of our freedom
flinging off the yoke of oppression
taking on the mantle of these

From your previous posts you don’t believe in a god, but like me, although we will disagree at times, you recognise right from wrong. Perhaps I am wrong? (in a belief in god) ?
Could anyone tell me name of Russian President envoy to Donbas. That handsome gentleman with gray hair and gray moustache.

Three commentators apparently decided that since I had not opened up the comments section under my post about the scandal at Russia Insider, they would post their comments here instead. I have now removed these three comments and I am declaring the topic of Russia Insider banned until further notice.
The Saker
The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one’s time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all.
H. L. Mencken US editor (1880 – 1956)
here it is
I’ve never ceased to curse the day I signed
A seven years’ bargain for the Golden Fleece.
’Twas a bad deal all round; and dear enough
It cost me, what with my daft management,
And the mean folk as owed and never paid me, 5
And backing losers; and the local bucks
Egging me on with whiskys while I bragged
The man I was when huntsman to the Squire.
I’d have been prosperous if I’d took a farm
Of fifty acres, drove my gig and haggled 10
At Monday markets; now I’ve squandered all
My savings; nigh three hundred pound I got
As testimonial when I’d grown too stiff
And slow to press a beaten fox.
The Fleece!
’Twas the damned Fleece that wore my Emily out, 15
The wife of thirty years who served me well;
(Not like this beldam clattering in the kitchen,
That never trims a lamp nor sweeps the floor,
And brings me greasy soup in a foul crock.)
Blast the old harridan! What’s fetched her now, 20
Leaving me in the dark, and short of fire?
And where’s my pipe? ’Tis lucky I’ve a turn
For thinking, and remembering all that’s past.
And now’s my hour, before I hobble to bed,
To set the works a-wheezing, wind the clock 25
That keeps the time of life with feeble tick
Behind my bleared old face that stares and wonders.
. . . .
It’s queer how, in the dark, comes back to mind
Some morning of September. We’ve been digging
In a steep sandy warren, riddled with holes, 30
And I’ve just pulled the terrier out and left
A sharp-nosed cub-face blinking there and snapping,
Then in a moment seen him mobbed and torn
To strips in the baying hurly of the pack.
I picture it so clear: the dusty sunshine 35
On bracken, and the men with spades, that wipe
Red faces: one tilts up a mug of ale.
And, having stopped to clean my gory hands,
I whistle the jostling beauties out of the wood.
I’m but a daft old fool! I often wish 40
The Squire were back again—ah! he was a man!
They don’t breed men like him these days; he’d come
For sure, and sit and talk and suck his briar
Till the old wife brings up a dish of tea.
Ay, those were days, when I was serving Squire! 45
I never knowed such sport as ’85,
The winter afore the one that snowed us silly.
. . . .
Once in a way the parson will drop in
And read a bit o’ the Bible, if I’m bad,
And pray the Lord to make my spirit whole 50
In faith: he leaves some ’baccy on the shelf,
And wonders I don’t keep a dog to cheer me
Because he knows I’m mortal fond of dogs!
I ask you, what’s a gent like that to me
As wouldn’t know Elijah if I saw him, 55
Nor have the wit to keep him on the talk?
’Tis kind of parson to be troubling still
With such as me; but he’s a town-bred chap,
Full of his college notions and Christmas hymns.
Religion beats me. I’m amazed at folk 60
Drinking the gospels in and never scratching
Their heads for questions. When I was a lad
I learned a bit from mother, and never thought
To educate myself for prayers and psalms.
But now I’m old and bald and serious-minded, 65
With days to sit and ponder. I’d no chance
When young and gay to get the hang of all
This Hell and Heaven: and when the clergy hoick
And holloa from their pulpits, I’m asleep,
However hard I listen; and when they pray 70
It seems we’re all like children sucking sweets
In school, and wondering whether master sees.
I used to dream of Hell when I was first
Promoted to a huntsman’s job, and scent
Was rotten, and all the foxes disappeared, 75
And hounds were short of blood; and officers
From barracks over-rode ’em all day long
On weedy, whistling nags that knocked a hole
In every fence; good sportsmen to a man
And brigadiers by now, but dreadful hard 80
On a young huntsman keen to show some sport.
Ay, Hell was thick with captains, and I rode
The lumbering brute that’s beat in half a mile,
And blunders into every blind old ditch.
Hell was the coldest scenting land I’ve known, 85
And both my whips were always lost, and hounds
Would never get their heads down; and a man
On a great yawing chestnut trying to cast ’em
While I was in a corner pounded by
The ugliest hog-backed stile you’ve clapped your eyes on. 90
There was an iron-spiked fence round all the coverts,
And civil-spoken keepers I couldn’t trust,
And the main earth unstopp’d. The fox I found
Was always a three-legged ’un from a bag,
Who reeked of aniseed and wouldn’t run. 95
The farmers were all ploughing their old pasture
And bellowing at me when I rode their beans
To cast for beaten fox, or galloped on
With hounds to a lucky view. I’d lost my voice
Although I shouted fit to burst my guts, 100
And couldn’t blow my horn.
And when I woke,
Emily snored, and barn-cocks started crowing,
And morn was at the window; and I was glad
To be alive because I heard the cry
Of hounds like church-bells chiming on a Sunday. 105
Ay, that’s the song I’d wish to hear in Heaven!
The cry of hounds was Heaven for me: I know
Parson would call me crazed and wrong to say it,
But where’s the use of life and being glad
If God’s not in your gladness?
I’ve no brains 110
For book-learned studies; but I’ve heard men say
There’s much in print that clergy have to wink at:
Though many I’ve met were jolly chaps, and rode
To hounds, and walked me puppies; and could pick
Good legs and loins and necks and shoulders, ay, 115
And feet—’twas necks and feet I looked at first.
Some hounds I’ve known were wise as half your saints,
And better hunters. That old dog of the Duke’s,
Harlequin; what a dog he was to draw!
And what a note he had, and what a nose 120
When foxes ran down wind and scent was catchy!
And that light lemon bitch of the Squire’s, old Dorcas—
She were a marvellous hunter, were old Dorcas!
Ay, oft I’ve thought, ‘If there were hounds in Heaven,
With God as master, taking no subscription; 125
And all His blessèd country farmed by tenants,
And a straight-necked old fox in every gorse!’
But when I came to work it out, I found
There’d be too many huntsmen wanting places,
Though some I’ve known might get a job with Nick!
. . . .
130
I’ve come to think of God as something like
The figure of a man the old Duke was
When I was turning hounds to Nimrod King,
Before his Grace was took so bad with gout
And had to quit the saddle. Tall and spare, 135
Clean-shaved and grey, with shrewd, kind eyes, that twinkled,
And easy walk; who, when he gave good words,
Gave them whole-hearted; and would never blame
Without just cause. Lord God might be like that,
Sitting alone in a great room of books 140
Some evening after hunting.
Now I’m tired
With hearkening to the tick-tack on the shelf;
And pondering makes me doubtful.
Riding home
On a moonless night of cloud that feels like frost
Though stars are hidden (hold your feet up, horse!) 145
And thinking what a task I had to draw
A pack with all those lame ’uns, and the lot
Wanting a rest from all this open weather;
That’s what I’m doing now.
And likely, too,
The frost’ll be a long ’un, and the night 150
One sleep. The parsons say we’ll wake to find
A country blinding-white with dazzle of snow.
The naked stars make men feel lonely, wheeling
And glinting on the puddles in the road.
And then you listen to the wind, and wonder 155
If folk are quite such bucks as they appear
When dressed by London tailors, looking down
Their boots at covert side, and thinking big.
. . . .
This world’s a funny place to live in. Soon
I’ll need to change my country; but I know 160
’Tis little enough I’ve understood my life,
And a power of sights I’ve missed, and foreign marvels.
I used to feel it, riding on spring days
In meadows pied with sun and chasing clouds,
And half forget how I was there to catch 165
The foxes; lose the angry, eager feeling
A huntsman ought to have, that’s out for blood,
And means his hounds to get it!
Now I know
It’s God that speaks to us when we’re bewitched,
Smelling the hay in June and smiling quiet; 170
Or when there’s been a spell of summer drought,
Lying awake and listening to the rain.
. . . .
I’d like to be the simpleton I was
In the old days when I was whipping-in
To a little harrier-pack in Worcestershire, 175
And loved a dairymaid, but never knew it
Until she’d wed another. So I’ve loved
My life; and when the good years are gone down,
Discover what I’ve lost.
I never broke
Out of my blundering self into the world, 180
But let it all go past me, like a man
Half asleep in a land that’s full of wars.
What a grand thing ’twould be if I could go
Back to the kennels now and take my hounds
For summer exercise; be riding out 185
With forty couple when the quiet skies
Are streaked with sunrise, and the silly birds
Grown hoarse with singing; cobwebs on the furze
Up on the hill, and all the country strange,
With no one stirring; and the horses fresh, 190
Sniffing the air I’ll never breathe again.
. . . .
You’ve brought the lamp, then, Martha? I’ve no mind
For newspaper to-night, nor bread and cheese.
Give me the candle, and I’ll get to bed.

Saudis threatening to offload US assets in KSA if redacted 9/11 info is published

It seems the US is trying to put pressure on the wahhabi’s with the redacted section of the 9/11 report. Saudi’s returning the complement by threatening to sell off hundreds of billions of US assets.
A falling out among thieves it seems. Hopefully both sides will escalate and provide some entertainment for the world.
Thinking about it a bit more, the wahhabi king and princes meeting Putin over the last year ect, seems an ideal opportunity for a bit of divide and conquer. I’ve noticed Israel are not burning their bridges with Russia either. Two rats looking for a new ship in case theirs sinks?

Yeah. Sniffing around has started, that’s for sure
I saw a comment by Bill Clinton that said: “Sanders Supporters Want to Shoot Every 3rd Person on Wall Street”. But he was wrong there. It’s not just Sanders supporters that want that. And its not every 3rd person. I’m going for every 2nd myself.

Lyrics
You remember that baron flying high in the sky
When Snoopy shot him down with a gleam in his eye
But that baron had leaped from his blood-red plane
Just before it burst into a ball of flame
Snoopy circled back to check his kill
Saw the bloody red baron standing high on a hill
Then he swooped down low
Shouted “Curse you red baron!”
The German shook his fist you could hear him swear “Ach der lieber!”
Hey watch out little Snoopy
You’re really in a mess
You thought you were through with the bloody red baron
But it looks like he’s not down yet
Then a cry went up all over the land
The bloody red baron would strike again
But brave little Snoopy said “Never fear”
As he headed for his plane all the people cheered (Yeah!)
Hey watch out little Snoopy
You’re really in a mess
You thought you were through with the bloody red baron
But it looks like he’s not down yet
Snoopy blazed a trail straight across the sea
Searching in vain for his enemy
Then he found that German trying to fix his plane
A-sweatin’ and a-cussin’ about to go insane
Take it
Snoopy landed for a pistol duel
The baron was worried
Snoopy was cool
He fired a shot and missed
Started to run
Before Snoopy had a chance to raise his gun
Hey watch out red baron
Snoopy is on your trail
One of these days he’s gonna make you pay
And you’ll go straight to
Well watch out red baron
Snoopy is on your trail
One of these days he’s gonna make you pay
And you’ll go straight to
Well watch out red baron
Love is in the air…..

Hi Elsi,
Exciting and fun music for a change of pace and the Spring. I like the way she has incorporated jazz and folk music. It gives her style a lot of vibrancy and energy.
Yes, Jonathan, she’s really cool and amazing, her voice comes straight from the soul and the heart… Only, I think she should take care of her voice a little, with some vocal technique or whatever, although this way perhaps would lose his personal style, but I feel she forces her voice way too much getting hoarse especially when he makes her characteristic humming like a trumpet.
I would like enjoying her many years, being her still so young and transmiting so much, I can not even imagine what will convey this woman in her 40-50, when she had many more experiences….
Jonathan, I was wondering, since you told me that you lived in Israel some time ago, if you could provide some Israeli music you could find interesting or beautiful, traditional or modern. For me is very unknown, since I have never been there, except for Noa, who makes collaborations with folk musicians here.
Good question elsi. I must admit that my knowledge of folk music is not extensive, unfortunately. I’m more of a classical music guy. Let me think on this a bit. Do you know klezmer music? I’ve also been partial to some of the Sephardic musicians.
Yes, klezmer!, I loved it, and so I am aware now that this is the name of that music I have heard in some films being played at Jewish weddings.
It is so joyful and promise a lot of fun:
“Daniel Hoffman – Original Klezmer (klezmer fiddle)”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkmFgQ9fM94
“Jewish Wedding (and Mitzvahs): An Unexpected Surprise! “
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYuYojyDwN4
Last time in París, as I usually like to be a flaneur there, one day I met a Jewish wedding; out of the blue I was suddenly surrounded by the guests who despite my sporty style, did not seem to find me strange amongst them ( someone even asked me something about the event ). The atmosphere was so joyful, relaxed and carefree that I would have stayed if not for the man in the purple-gray eyes with dark blue pea jacket and black kippáh who stared at me while talking on his cell phone as if to say –I’ve noticed that you are not invited, madam– …. Unforgettable eyes, indeed ….Then I was aware that some others in the same attire were beginning to cordon off the guests and so I decided to walk away being surpassed by another one of them two meters high by two meters wide; a bit further there were two French Army soldiers….
Thanks a lot, Jonathan.
A hug.
P.S: I am seeing in the Kremlin site that very soon will be Passing Holiday for the Jews, on April 22th, so in case you celebrate this holiday, I wish you a good time and, anyway, to all the Jewish people of good will.

elsi,
Although klezmer music is a lot of fun, I would really prefer to recommend music from the Sephardic tradition. The origin is Spain and this music is often sung in Ladino. This is so-called Judeo-Spanish (if you’ve heard of this language). Sephardic music is influenced by Greek, Turkish and Arabic culture as well as the original Spanish. As I think you’ve said you are Spanish I thought this might be even more interesting to you. I will get some recommendations together. This music has undergone quite a revival in the last 50 years or so and I would really like to interest others in this music.
Great, Jonathan, then waiting for your recommendations, although I like all kind of music when it is played with feeling and soul. I like classic music too. There is a moment for all styles, I guess….
Are you going to place them here in this cafe or on the new one already opened?
Shalom!
P.S: I found a bit curious that this comment of yours does not appeared in the RSS of comments where I usually check new comments. Weird….if not paranormal….
elsi,
Here are some recommendations on recordings of Sephardic music. This is music of the Spanish Jews which developed over a period of 500 years since the Expulsion of 1492.
This music incoporates Greek, Turkish, Arabic and Spanish influences. Traditionally, this music is sung in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish).
First, a couple of Sephardic lullabys for you:
Nani Nani (Sephardic Lullaby)
Durme, Durme (Traditional Sephardic Lullaby)
One of the earlier of the modern era recordings by Yehoram Gaon.
Yehoram Gaon: Abre tu puerta cerrada
Four tracks from the more modern singer Yasmin Levy:
Yasmin Levy – De Edad De Kinze Anyos (Since The Age of
Fifteen)
Yasmin Levy – Naci En Alamo
Yasmin Levy – Mano Suave
Yasmin Levy – Mi Corazon
From sephardicmusic.org
Hope you hear something you like. I’ll put up some recommendations on klemer too.
Hi Jonathan, I liked all of them, very beautiful.
The only one I could not see was “Mano Suave”, not available for me here.
Great voice that of Yasmine.
I knew about Sephardic people but not so much about their music.
Thank you very much for this selection.
Have you ever been in Toledo?

Hi Elsi,
I’m glad you found the suggestions on Sephardic music enjoyable. Sephardic music and culture have been suppressed somewhat in Israel by the Ashkenazim and the attempt to create a rather artificial Israeli culture common to all Jews. It’s good to spread the word.
Thanks for the video links. The period of the Convivencia should be an inspiration to all people. It’s good to remember that Maimonides, arguably the most important Jewish scholar of all time, was born in Cordoba.
I’ve never been to Spain. Also, I’m somewhat ashamed to say that I know no Ladino or Spanish. Very difficult to find instruction on Ladino. Perhaps I should look into it again.
Iran gets the first part of the 6 year delayed S-300!
Sure, it’s only the nameplate, but you gotta start small.
http://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2016/04/17/1050846/part-of-s-300-missile-system-put-on-display-in-army-parade-in-tehran
A portion of the S-300 missile system was unveiled in the massive parades south of Tehran, also attended by foreign military attachés.
The gear unveiled in the ceremony included 2 radar systems of S-300, its carrier and command vehicles as well as the crane for lifting its missiles.
Something I have thought for some time, seeing comments here about China, Russia being too capitalist.
On average young people want the latest youbute gizmos. What does it cost now in R&D for a single motor car engine? Far as I know it can cost a few billion to develop a new car. What does it cost to develop each new iphone or samsung.
With 1.3 billion people China has the domestic market to pay back the R&D costs for the latest gizmo but it may be a few more years before they have the tech base to do that.
With 180 give or take million, Russia does not have the domestic market to offset R&D.
Without the latest gizmos young people will be wanting to leave.
I think it is for this reason both Russia and China are looking at private investment for consumer goods.
There is no political ideology that fits all. I am starting to think that a mix of communism, socialism, and capitalism, in the right mix for each country will give a balanced society. I guess the right mix will always be the sticking point.
is any more development possible? Diesel engines, car motors, jet engines pen and paper…these fundamentals are reaching the end of their development curve? Carbon fishing rods for example, we cannot make them any more than they are surely, only incremental now and it is really worth it. one can buy reasonable fishing rod for 30-40£ thanks to China. And a fishing rod is a fishing rod. Only development possible is in energy transmission, electronics ie phones computers electronics that read minds or minds using electronics, rail guns, lazers etc…..the mechanical age has reached its limits?Or the next level of technological will be a quantum leap?
Taking into account the loss of tens of millions of acres of good arable land the world over from paving for roads which are always built the cheapest thus through/across the flattest non-rocky land (valleys, for one), & the thermodynamic-limiting performance efficiency of Carnot engines, & the lifetime 1.0 % risk of being killed in the 1st world early in an automobile accident (all types, like auto- pedestrian, cyclist, motorcyclist, bystander, jaywalker, etc), it can be argued that the era of the automobile would not be missed at all should it be superceded/obsoleted by the next thing.
India untold thousands of years ago were flying their personal vimana conveyances over land in the slies, like a personal cartoon Jetsons contraption, yet here we are all that time later.
The greatest time of human innovation, ingenuity & progress with concomitant rise in standard of living & population was by far the 1885- 1929 period–nothing these past few decades is close!
There is an absolutely clear “technology mass consumer diffusion & saturation” 64 year cycle seen down the centuries since there was any chemistry, physics, math, energy & metallurgy research from the brilliant minds to put forth for evermore improvement, & it goes:
1694…1758…1822…1886…1950…2014….
Remember it’s the trickle down to mass diffusion of everyday use that improves life, & this can take decades—even the telephone patented 1876 was not really available en masse to even
first world residents until the 1920’s (post- WW I).
Others have it offset slightly to take into account 1722 Newcomen steam engine lining up with 1848 first true ‘drilled’ oil well spudded, but it comes out same observation.
Thus whatever popped up in 2014 is either so far hidden from any gaze of the public, it’s too shocking or outrageously profound to have sunken in with anyone yet!
I propose that it was/is that Dr. Rossi E-Cat scalable cold fusion/LENR research & devices being put in in parts of Italy, since near exactly that time.
With the internet, free reading of summaries & critiques of any book up on Amazon.com, etc, anyone can read up on what’s likely to be the next great thing.
But the warning is that note that there was still a huge deep long worldwide depression over a decade long, plus a world war last time after that tremendous age of innovation 1886-1929.
Or the next level of technological will be a quantum leap?
I suspect their is still a long way to go in energy storage/energy sources. Something like nuclear where a huge amount of energy can be produced from a small fuel source. At the moment nuclear only produces heat which needs to be converted into usable energy.
Gravity? Earth is a large magnet with north and south pole, similar to a small permanent magnet.
Take two small magnets and if they are placed north to north, or south to south they repel each other.
I guess ignorance is bliss, but I feel their must be some way of using this for aircraft or spacecraft.
Life? Who lives, who dies? The last years that I was working, I flew a mad max machine – gyrocopter mustering stock. Over that period 6 or seven people I knew or had had contact with, that were flying these machines either recreationaly or as a job died in accidents. Some were young men with young families.
One of the last was a person I knew quite well. We worked in the same area and he helped me when I was starting in the game. Always careful, checking his equipment, making sure everything was up to scratch. Hit a power line strung between two hills just on daylight one morning while out on a job. Left a a wife and one year old daughter.
Some months after that my health started to go downhill. Spent a lot of money on medical tests and traveling with no results. After a year or so I just didn’t care. i went back to flying without doing any maintenance nor pre-flight checks. Just strapped myself in each morning and took off thinking that when this thing fell out of the sky my wife would get some insurance money. Little bits started to fail. exhausts cracked so I sawed them off short so the muffler would not fall of and go through the prop. Started carrying some wire so I could tie bits back on. Sometimes forgetting to put fuel in before going out on a job, other times throttle cables breaking but always the would be an opening in the scrub and I would dump it down, patch it up and go again.
Around the time I cut the muffler off I was having trouble with my eyes, the constant checking the GPS to make sure I was on my grid pattern and then trying to refocus into the scrub to look for cattle wasn’t working.
After cutting the muffler off I got a lot of complaints about the noise as nobody under me could hear me on the radio. But the numbers turned up, I was getting clean musters even though I couldn’t see well so as long as I could follow my grid on the GPS I kept flying.
Eventually though, it got to the stage where I had a hard time focusing on the GPS and could not fly straight and level and had to give it up as I simply could not do the job.
A few of those that I knew in the time I was flying that where killed probably shouldn’t have been flying as they simply had no idea.
But others that were switched on and careful?
That stumps me, why I lived when I didn’t care, yet some young men with young families and everything to live for died.
The only thing I can think of at the moment is that If there is a god he saved me to annoy the socks off the crowd at this saker blog.
The different backgrounds, nationalities ect of people here, independent thought – often influenced by different backgrounds, makes this place….
I guess for this world to live in some sort of harmony people from all strata in life need to have and input. So I guess here I just put up a shitkickers (average peasant) view of the world.,

just noting HNC says ceasefire is off because they want direct face to face “negotiations’ -ie ultimatums- with Syrian Government Assad must g- and are not present at the Mistura talks ,
“There is a general feeling that the ceasefire in Syria has ended, the opposition’s High Negotiations Committee (HNC) spokesperson Riyad Naasan Agha told Sputnik.
GENEVA (Sputnik) — According to Agha, the current round of talks has resulted in no advance on several issues, including humanitarian access to besieged areas.
“There is a general feeling that the ceasefire is over, and the fact that the regime, as you know, is trying to recapture Aleppo, confirms this. It is fiercely bombing Aleppo, Homs and other areas,” the spokesperson said.
Riyad Naasan Agha also stressed that the Syrian High Negotiations Committee opposition group was not offered to participate in the unified Syrian opposition delegation by UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.
“No he [de Mistura] didn’t offer this. Possibly, we have read something on Facebook or Twitter, but he did not offer this to us at meetings Mr. de Mistura, during the first meeting with us in Riyadh, said ‘there are no other negotiations, except between your delegation and the regime, it is your privilege’,” Agha told Sputnik.

“Our delegation is united, the others do not concern us. They are not the delegation at the talks, but de Mistura’s delegations for consultations, and he is free to decide how to act,” Agha added.
The Syrian opposition’s High Negotiations Committee believes that UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura will deliver a report to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon following the April round of intra-Syrian talks in Geneva, the spokesman added.
“[De Mistura] will definitely deliver a report to the UN Secretary-General,” the spokesman for the Riyadh-formed HNC said.
On Sunday, a source in one of the groups of the Syrian opposition told Sputnik that the current round of intra-Syrian talks in Geneva will end with draft final proposals on the settlement, which should further go to the UN Security Council for approval.
The new round of intra-Syrian talks began in Geneva on April 13. According to UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, this round of talks is focusing on Syria’s political transition, governance, and the constitution.
Moscow and Washington mediated an agreement of the cessation of hostilities in Syria, which came into force on February 27.”

yet Tass reports
GENEVA, April 18. /TASS/. The Syrian government delegation is forwarding constructive proposals on a national unity government, whereas opposition groups Khmeimim and Moscow-Cairo have also drafted interesting groundwork to achieve political settlement in the country, the Russian Federation’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva Alexey Borodavkin said.
Borodavkin said it became evident following a number of meetings of government and opposition delegations with the UN chief’s special envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura.
“According to our information, they revealed certain important aspects. First, the government delegation is ready to talk on the topic, forwards constructive proposals regarding establishment of a national unity government and its arguments on how the new constitution of Syria should look,” he said.
“The Moscow-Cairo and the Khmeimim blocs of the opposition also have interesting groundwork. They have got prepared well for discussion of the issue. They have considerations on this account,” Borodavkin said.
At the same time, he underscored that the delegation of the Riyadh opposition has not moved forward yet in its position.

update from Lavrov
MOSCOW, April 18./TASS/. Russia and the US are not engaged in any secret negotiations on Syria in Geneva, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday.

Syrian minister: Assad’s future is not subject of any talks in Geneva or elsewhere
“We see a normal regime of working consultations as well as cooperation of the two countries within the framework of the International Syria Support Group, where Russia and the United States are co-chairmen, as well as within the framework of the ceasefire task force set up within this group,” he said.
Lavrov stressed that statements on secret deals on Bashar al-Assad’s fate are aimed at undermining the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions.
“The attempts to say that there is a kind of a secret negotiations channel and moreover that as part of this secret negotiations channel someone has promised to solve the fate of Assad outside intra-Syrian talks… This is not true,” Lavrov said.
“This is an attempt to disrupt the implementation of the UNSC resolutions that say directly on the basis of the Russian-US agreement supported by everyone: only the Syrian people can decide on the fate of Syria,” he said.
According to the minister, there are quite a few people in the United States and Turkey who are willing to work on ‘Plan B’ for Syria and overthrow this country’s President Bashar al-Assad.
“Despite the denials made in Washington, including by US Secretary of State John Kerry, there are many people who wish to think about such ‘Plan B’, if not in the heart of the Pentagon, but certainly in the region.” he said. “Let me mention, in particular, Turkey, which perseveres in its attempts to intervene by force.”.
The Russian top diplomat has also once again pointed out that the Syrian government troops are not acting against Syrian opposition groups, which have agreed to the ceasefire, in various parts of Syria, including Aleppo.
“The government troops, which are supported by the Russian aerospace group in Syria, are not acting against that part of the opposition which has accepted the truce terms. The Syrian army is fighting terrorists with the Russian Aerospace Forces’ support,” the minister said.
According to Lavrov, Moscow has many questions for the moderate Syrian opposition about their cooperation with Jebhat al-Nusra terrorist organization (banned in Russia).
“If the moderate [opposition] does not want to leave positions occupied by Jebhat al-Nusra, maybe it is not moderate? Maybe they are just cooperating with Jebhat al-Nusra in violation of UN Security Council resolution?” Lavrov said.

HNC being confrontational….The Syrian Opposition’s High Negotiations Committee asked UN special envoy Staffan de Mistura for a short break amid alleged ceasefire violations in the country, a member of the delegation told Sputnik.
GENEVA (Sputnik) — The Syrian Opposition’s High Negotiations Committee has asked UN’s Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura to suspend the Geneva talks until ceasefire violations come to an end, a source close to the negotiations told Sputnik on Monday.
“HNC will stay in Geneva but has asked for a short break while violations are ended,” the source said.
“We will see what happens today, and what will be the reaction of the regime and of the international community. We are not aiming at derailing the talks, it is the regime that is doing it,” HNC member Hassan Abdul Azim said.
The new round of intra-Syrian talks began in Geneva on April 13. According to de Mistura, this round of talks is focusing on Syria’s political transition, governance, and the constitution.
HNC calls on the international community to deploy international observers in Syria to monitor the ceasefire and deliveries of humanitarian aid, Hassan Abdul Azim told Sputnik.
“We see that agreements on humanitarian aid delivery and on the cessation of hostilities are observed by one side only, by the opposition, and are not observed by the government. It requires a clear position from the international community, and its assistance to the Syrian people — sending a monitoring mission to observe the lifting of sieges, humanitarian aid deliveries, ceasefire and release of detainees,” Azim said.

Several Syrian rebel groups unleashed a wide-scale offensive in northwestern and central Syria on Monday dealing a fresh blow to the ongoing peace talks between Damascus and the leaders of the moderate opposition, Iran’s Fars news agency reported.
In a statement issued on Monday the leaders of about a dozen armed factions, including the Saudi and Turkish-backed Jayshal-Islam and Jaysh al-Fateh, announced the formation of “a joint operation room” to coordinate new attacks on government forces.

Putin, Obama Agree to Further Assist in Maintaining Ceasefire in Syria
The declaration came hours after Mohammed Alloush, the chief negotiator of Syrian opposition delegation in Geneva, called to ignore the months-long ceasefire and resume fight against the government forces.
Both the Syrian government and the opposition sides have accused one another of breaking the truce deal signed on February 27, which excluded the Daesh and al-Nusra Front terrorist groups that are operating in the east and north of the country.
The hard-won ceasefire began to unravel as fighting escalated near Syria’s second largest city Aleppo this month, Fars News reported.
On Monday, militants launched a fierce attack against Syrian government forces in Latakia province and in Haman amid heavy government air strikes in Homs province in the south.
A Syrian military source confirmed intense fighting in the area.
“Today they attacked in the northern Latakia countryside in several areas, in violation of the cessation of hostilities agreement, and also in the northwestern Hama countryside,” the military source said.

Saudi Arabia has told the Obama administration and members of Congress that it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the kingdom if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in American courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
The Obama administration has lobbied Congress to block the bill’s passage, according to administration officials and congressional aides from both parties, and the Saudi threats have been the subject of intense discussions in recent weeks between lawmakers and officials from the State Department and the Pentagon. The officials have warned senators of diplomatic and economic fallout from the legislation.
Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi foreign minister, delivered the kingdom’s message personally last month during a trip to Washington, telling lawmakers that Saudi Arabia would be forced to sell up to $750 billion in treasury securities and other assets in the United States before they could be in danger of being frozen by American courts.
Several outside economists are skeptical that the Saudis will follow through, saying that such a sell-off would be difficult to execute and would end up crippling the kingdom’s economy. But the threat is another sign of the escalating tensions between Saudi Arabia and the United States.”

“It is not the Saudis who are threatening something. It is the U.S. Congress that is threateningto lift the immunity of nation states in front of U.S. courts:
The Senate bill is intended to make clear that the immunity given to foreign nations under the law should not apply in cases where nations are found culpable for terrorist attacks that kill Americans on United States soil. If the bill were to pass both houses of Congress and be signed by the president, it could clear a path for the role of the Saudi government to be examined in the Sept. 11 lawsuits.
Under the bill a civil U.S. person could file in a U.S. court against nation states for acts or omissions(!) of that nation state related to some “terrorist act”. U.S. courts are notorious for dubious rulings against foreign states, impounding and seizing huge assets of such states.
In 2012 Congress passed a law that specifically allowed victims of terrorist attacks allegedly related to Iran to collect judgements against the Iranian state. Judges started to rule in favor of billions in compensatory damages to victims and to impound even assets of Iranian charities. One of these cases and the anti-Iranian law are now in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Immunity against such judgements is standard international law and known as “acta iure imperii” – the principal that no foreign court can judge the liability of a nation state for acts and omissions in the exercise of the nation state’s authority.
Should the U.S. Congress break that principal, any foreign national wealth fund, pension fund or otherwise state related institution could have its U.S. assets impounded under this or that dubious terrorism judgement.
The Saudis would be utterly stupid to leave even a penny invested in the U.S. or in U.S. bonds should that law pass.
This not because the Saudi state had something to do or not with 9/11. Even a claim that the Saudi state somehow neglected to prevent some of its nationals to commit terrorism could, under the new law, be enough to seize U.S. investment of a Saudi national wealth fund. The Saudis said they would withdraw their $750 billion in U.S. assets should the law pass. That would be simply a necessary and prudent move and announcing that move is not “a threat”.
If the law should pass not only the Saudis but any other nation state could and should pass similar laws and allow their use against the United States. Some Russian widow of a solider who died years ago from wounds received in Afghanistan by U.S. supported Mujaheddin, aka terrorists, could have U.S assets in Russia seized as compensation. Many South America countries have fought against U.S. instigated terrorism. There are many victims who could sue over such cases and there are many U.S. assets to seize.
To sue against U.S. assets under such laws would be a profitable business for some enterprising lawyers. One wonders how Congress would react when the first U.S. assets get seized.”
Yeah, Saudi Arabia, go for it. Dump your billions! The rest of the world is looking forward to buy your investments for cents on a dollar. If you like to hang yourself out to dry — here’s the rope… :D
Putin fan club update: This man has so much class, refinement and playfulness…

Putin sat back with a huge sigh of relief, satisfaction emanating from his face; he’d done it again, the question and answer sessions were over.
“Afanasii!” he called. His butler noiselessly entered the room, and glided to his side. “Two rounds of sandwiches and kvass packed in ice for the day’s vacation please.” “Yes sir”, breathed Afanasii, exiting silently with the decorum and propriety he had entered.
The longing for the ocean, for some fun, to shed the burden of the world overcame Vlad. He picked up the phone and ordered the fueling of his jet, piloted by the trusty Ed who was now his fully qualified private pilot. He glanced at his watch, heading for his wardrobe and some suitable attire…
By now of course they were on first name terms, Putin, preferring to sit in the cockpit with Ed during flights and catch up on some vital news, did not talk of boring stuff like surveillance, but nitty gritty questions of love and the heart, things that matter …

I just watched the CBC national news in Canada, and there was a segment on how badly the Russian economy is doing, and how high unemployment is in Russia.
It would never occur to the CBC to go to St. John or Winnipeg and show the poverty and unemployment there.
John Pilger — and including a link to his 2011 film — writes today in ‘informationclearinghouse’ below:
“Today, the long sleep may be over. The young are stirring again.”
I hope so, but I fear the signs are not strong.
Perhaps Dr Paul Craig Roberts’ comment on this is a little too strong, but the sentiment is rightly placed, imo:
“Evil Has Triumphed In The West and Armageddon Approaches” (Guest Column by John Pilger, World War Has Begun. Break the Silence”)

April 17, 2016 “Information Clearing House” – I have been filming in the Marshall Islands, which lie north of Australia, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Whenever I tell people where I have been, they ask, “Where is that?” If I offer a clue by referring to “Bikini”, they say, “You mean the swimsuit.”…”

Compromise? My youngest daughter always daddies girl – I would come home tired from a long day at work and she would jump on my lap, cheerful and chirpy. I would tell her I could fly to the moon on zippy ties and silastic, or that I had been flying alongside a passenger jet waving to the passengers on the air routes overhead.
After she left school she took up with a young bloke and then that broke up. never let on what had happened for a few years.
When I found out what had happened, I would have put the bastard down like a dog but my daughter was in tears begging me not to do anything as she did not want to see me hurt or in jail?
Wadda you do?
Compromise? I guess I’m a sucker when it comes to my daughters.
Eldest daughter use to be very quite, always in the background when she was young. Stumped me for a long time until I found she was unable to make a decision unless she was 100% sure of her answer. Encouraging her to make a decision on what was most likely jumped her up a couple of grades at school. For a short time her self confidence became obnoxious, but I kept encouraging her, and it wasn’t long before she became a very self assured teenager/young adult, that could be the life of a party, or a voice that with crystal clarity, volume and preciseness dress down anyone that came against her including my good self.
Compromise ? very good point, without it we would be in everlasting war with ourselves, with our family and entire world. Also good for your daughters to have such a dad.
The authorities in one Polish city are refusing to destroy Soviet monuments on the grounds that history cannot be changed – the Red Army liberated Poland, and that’s what the monuments commemorate:

The plot thickens or the broth clarifies: One of two reprinted articles from RI regarding the USS Cole provocation 70 Km from St Petersburg. Seems like everyone wants pay-off money these days–the Turks, the Saudis, the Poles etc.
