Saker Webmaster
The new Cold War has begun .I never thought that in my lifetime that it would reoccur .The propaganda institutions have been working in overdrive in order to inculcate the insouciant majority to believe their bullshit . In essence the Western Elites require a means of protecting their status and maintaining the separation between the rich and the Serfs .This is nothing new throughout history and the exploitation continues although to the detriment of humanity in general . The wealthy class does not offer anything beneficial to the evolution of societies they only rob from the productive class and are actually creating a form of devolution .It is a one way trip to Easter Island .
Easter island gets a bad press, according to their own history they began as a small group of ‘royal’ refugees who were deposed and found sanctuary somewhere out of the way. Because the were all closely related they had enormous difficulty keeping up their numbers, like lots of island or isolated peoples they developed a promiscuos culture, this being the best way to have healhty fertile progeny. They even advertised making sure no one would pass the island by thinking it uninhabited, and their women extended a very warm welcome to visitors. Once their permaculture gardens were established there was little work to do so to give themselves something to do outside of partying they erected all those statues. Everything went reasonably well, the occasional injection of new blood meant they were healthy and happy, then the europeans arrived, if it wasn’t the first ship it certainly didn’t take long until STDs arrived. Then came the spanish who after the usual warm welcome decided that these beautiful women would be better employed in the port brothels of south america, and the strapping young men in the plantations, so just before they left they rounded up all they could carry and sailed off with them to S.America. More raids followed, what saved them was they had no natural immunity to any of the diseases in the ports/plantations and quickly died, and were thus unsaleable. From this time they made some attempt to take down the statues and when they saw a sailing ship they hid from anyone who came ashore. The island now had a reputation of being deserted and a scot turned up with some sheep and a few hands. The sheep proceeded to multiply and despite the protests of the islanders ate their way through the permaculture gardens[which the scots guy thought was all natural] any heated exchanges ended with islanders getting shot, and only when starvation set in and the islanders were butchering the sheep did the shepherds tyranny end. After this with the island now desolated some european woman came up with the idea that the people had been unable to constrain themselves from explosive population growth and had ruined themselves and an island paradise.
Now for their sins the few natives left get to act as guides to europeans who fly in from all around the world and wonder at the folly the profligate use of resources by ignorant people leads to.
Thanks for the reply : The message that I intended to convey ,you touched upon in the last paragraph of your post . Easter Island is used (metaphorically speaking) to send the message of the dangers of reckless exploitation, there is a very interesting book on the subject written by Jared Diamond. Now with the prospect of another Cold War looming and the wastefulness of natural resources which this entails not only locally as in the case of Easter Island but globally there is a serious prospect of degradation of mankind’s ‘Natural Living Arrangement’. A war Economy does not promote a healthy society it transfers the means of production towards other means and only a small percentage actually benefit from it .
Stefan I read Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs and Steel last year. A terrific study of how geography and environment impacted human development over the last 30,000 years or so. I recall little about Easter Island in that book. I lent it out, so there’s no way to look up that part now. Or was it a later book you refer to? All comments on the Easter Islanders caught my attention and seem an object lesson on violence and the need to stand up to it. Americans need to figure out in a hurry that they are intended victims, if they aren’t actual victims already.
Some may be disappointed to learn that aggression, slavery and genocide are not a unique feature of white North Americans or Europeans. His account of the Maori treatment of their own cousins, the Moriri, removed by a few centuries and a few hundred miles of open ocean to their new home SE of the South Island of New Zealand (Chatham Island, if I recall correctly) was particularly horrifying: “We took the women as slaves and killed the men, as was our custom.” was how the encounter, after a tip from whites as to the location of the island, was summarized and recorded. The Moriri settlers of the cooler island to the south could not afford chiefs and soldiers and crops would not grow, so their society became more egalitarian and peaceful, with everyone returning to hunting and gathering, rendering them defenseless when faced by their aggressive long lost cousins, the Maoris who burst suddenly into their former solitude and safety.
The Empire is vastly more threatening because of its capacity to ruin the entire planet, of course. The aggression disease is also masked by a deeper psychopathy than ever existed anywhere else, at least to my knowledge. They either get taken down and their puppet strings over a clueless population severed, or the devolution of the human race will be extreme, even if general nuclear war is avoided. It is the biggest test ever of the will to evolve or devolve and it is right now and involves everyone, whether they can face that reality and deal with it accordingly, or not.
Hello Bro : The Jared Diamond book in question is called ‘Collapse’ its a very good read . If your interested in this subject matter a book by Charles Mann called 1493 complements ‘Guns Germs and Steel’ very nicely also ‘Mutual Aid’ written by Peter Kropotkin is a must . The present day Capitalist system is destroying the Planet with its absurd proposition that everything must be commodified for the sole purpose of profit in order to maintain the ‘Class’ .
Thanks so much for this magnificent expose. The truth will out and that gives me hope.
Many thanks, Stefan. I already read 3 pages of “Mutual Aid” available for free here:
https://www.complementarycurrency.org/ccLibrary/Mutual_Aid-A_Factor_of_Evolution-Peter_Kropotkin.pdf
and intend to finish its 196 pages.
It is already very interesting in regard to Eastern Russia or “Northern Asia” as Kropotkin calls it, and should probably be read before anyone charges off for that free hectare, only to get buried in snow in early October:
“The terrible snow-storms which sweep over the northern portion of Eurasia in the
later part of the winter, and the glazed frost that often follows them; the frosts and
the snow-storms which return every year in the second half of May, when the
trees are already in full blossom and insect life swarms everywhere; the early
frosts and, occasionally, the heavy snowfalls in July and August, which suddenly
destroy myriads of insects, as well as the second broods of the birds in the
prairies; the torrential rains, due to the monsoons, which fall in more temperate
regions in August and September – resulting in inundations on a scale which is
only known in America and in Eastern Asia, and swamping, on the plateaus,
areas as wide as European States; and finally, the heavy snowfalls, early in
October, which eventually render a territory as large as France and Germany,
absolutely impracticable for ruminants, and destroy them by the thousand –
these were the conditions under which I saw animal life struggling in Northern
Asia. They made me realize at an early date the overwhelming importance in
Nature of what Darwin described as “the natural checks to over-multiplication,” in
comparison to the struggle between individuals of the same species for the
means of subsistence, which may go on here and there, to some limited extent,
but never attains the importance of the former. Paucity of life, under-population –
not over-population – being the distinctive feature of that immense part of the
globe which we name Northern Asia, I conceived since then serious doubts –
which subsequent study has only confirmed – as to the reality of that fearful
competition for food and life within each species, which was an article of faith
with most Darwinists, and, consequently, as to the dominant part which this sort
of competition was supposed to play in the evolution of new species.
On the other hand, wherever I saw animal life in abundance, as, for instance, on
the lakes where scores of species and millions of individuals came together to
rear their progeny; in the colonies of rodents; in the migrations of birds which
took place at that time on a truly American scale along the Usuri; and especially
in a migration of fallow-deer which I witnessed on the Amur, and during which
scores of thousands of these intelligent animals came together from an immense
territory, flying before the coming deep snow, in order to cross the Amur where it
is narrowest – in all these scenes of animal life which passed before my eyes, I
saw Mutual Aid and Mutual Support carried on to an extent which made me
suspect in it a feature of the greatest importance for the maintenance of life, the
preservation of each species, and its further evolution.
And finally, I saw among the semi-wild cattle and horses in Transbaikalia, among……. ”
Just a short taste, for others that don’t read Russian, and want to know more about an area of the world they (Like I) know very little about. The idea of “mutual aid” sounds so politically relevant, in contrast to Darwinism, which I have always regarded as an excuse for aggression and immorality.
Highly topical material for the struggle against Uni-polar Empire, I am eagerly supposing, before devouring the other 193 pages! Heartfelt thanks!
I must have come pretty close to opening doors since there are no comments yet and a mere 126 views.
I was just listening to Dylan’s “Got to serve somebody.” I’m going to his concert tomorrow.
Actually, I’ve got some serious business to attend to. Got to serve somebody. All those innocents being murdered by war, and just war in general, including things we’d never think linked to war, are pleading for help. The purpose of this place is to “stop the war on Russia,” to the last man standing and the last woman out.
My service is to report on the love army. The ninth division has arrived that has the job of tackling “prostitution” in all its guises. We all know what it means or so it seems. I once used her services in Vegas; a cheap shot at the least, less than wonderful. I had a couple of full body massages, which were wonderful but that’s a lesson in what not to do.
Prostitution is a war on sex. In our beginning on this adventure, there was none of it. Sex went with love that was open, free and communal. There was no marriage or money. It was a gift economy which included sharing sex in a well governed way. Sacred sex rituals were natural and exquisitely ecstatic, connecting us to our ancestral creators, who said “Do this in remembrance of us, because you are one of us.”
Patriarchs created sacred prostitutes to bridge over to what we have today. Pay as you go pay-tricks. I’ve heard stories of rape and entry without a warrant, and you have heard them too. They are horrible and there are many innocent victims. The empire feeds on this destitution like a vulture on road kill.
That’s obvious but it’s from what’s not obvious: where the paytricks garners most of its power. There’s prostitution of the mind and of the soul, sold as wholesome wonder bread. Churches prostitute to the state, and it prostrates to the church. Politics bends over for the corporations and corpses kneel for presidents. And everyone prostitutes at the entrance to the holy temple of money.
Jesus hung out with prostitutes but tried to hang the money-changers who banged the poor. Everyone who takes interest on their money is prostituting. Christians banned usury until Calvin showed them how to equivocate better than a Jesuit. Let’s face it: we’re all part of a big brothel of respectability. It’s the good people who are the best supporters of the war empire.
The love army exposes the hidden causes of war with its ten divisions. These are all sugar-coated versions of violence. Jesus called them white-washed sepulchers, with rotting flesh within. We’ve come a long way in the artistry of white-washing. Oh, but I exaggerate; it can’t be that bad. It isn’t that bad; it’s much worse, worse than a witch’s curse.
Love is the only thing that will stop war. The template of what love is was given to us as a gift but that’s been long since off the table. The love army has come to help us turn the tables of the times we live in. One unknown person who vibrates with love does more to stop war than a continent full of talking heads and a galaxy of pious consumers.
There are presstitutes and there are pressed suits. If we can’t tell the difference, don’t worry; we have lots of companies which will sell us secrets of success. The world’s oldest profession began its sunrise when the first womam became a woman by trading meat for meat. Street walkers were still far down the road. They’re not the problem anyway; they walk their talk; it’s those who talk and don’t walk but preside over those who walk over love that are the provocateurs of evil.
Well, I was asked to describe, not preach. I fall into old habits. Let me know if I fall out of line but do it with reason and rhyme. The sun will set here in about an hour, so let me say an early good night. If you’re on the other side of this rolling ball, you’ll be saying good morning. Once we win this war, we can sing: let the good times roll ’cause I ain’t gonna study war no more.
Dennis,
I have something for you :
Shangri-Li,Shangri La
Shangri-Li, Shangri-La,
Sing a song in Ventura
Early named as Nordhof
Germany has sealed off
After coming to Versailles
Onkle name it to Ojai
Once the city of the glasses
Now a tourism for the masses.
Downtown church is her Mark
Vineyard in the Liberty Park
You’re amazing. Like you are reading my mind and my history. “Liberty Park” is eerie, because the real name is Libbey Park. I am the only one I know of who has referred to it as Liberty Park.
Libbey, or Liberty Park is in the heart of Ojai, which is a dozen miles inland and 750 feet up from Ventura. I used to live in Ventura where we owned (with the bank) a home. Right around 9/11 we lost our home due to crooks and ended up here in Ojai, divorced but still in a non-sex relationship.
Liberty Park is special to me since The Love Government was founded there on 7/7/07 at 7 am. And prior to that on October 4, 2006, Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Red, Brown and Blue Party was inaugurated. Both signal events in view of the feminine fountain of gushing water and the masculine overlooking bell tower of the post office on the corner of Signal Street and Ojai Avenue.
Ojai (pronounced Oh-High) is a unique name, from the native matriarchal Chumash Indians (Ah-wah), meaning “moon,” so I ended up living in the Valley of the Moon, a decidedly goddess town by herstory, always threatened by the LA patriarchal hordes, sixty miles south, as the crow flies. A micro mirror in reverse to the macro machismo machine. Ojai has managed to retain much of her small town character, due largely to Nature’s gift of mountains on all sides, sort of like the valley portrayed in the Saker masthead.
With that inside info, I really, really, really enjoyed your poem.
Dennis,
I’m glad you enjoyed it, it is my pleasure also.
Last night I thought about Jesus going to parties. There were prostitutes and criminals present. There were people with a squeaky clean public personas present also, people who were not supposed to be there, making payments, networking. Just the fact that he saw made him a marked man, even though the J. Edgar of the day, and others with divided hearts came to love him deeply, he could not be saved.
As I read the mythos of Joshua ben Miriam he did not want to be saved although there were a few last minute qualms about calling in the love strike against himself . Time for the inchoate to send us another one –maybe this time we will “get” it better.
I just love your (and chimmy’s above) biblical exegesis about Jesus. Jesus is the focal point of Christ and Christianity, and hence of this Saker site, whose background is Orthodox Christianity, perhaps the most true one we have.
I do my own biblical exegesis. Jesus is the center, but because of the improbability of ever knowing who the historical Jesus was, I have to rely on all current scientific studies, the bible and the fathers and my own intuition and experience. Lately, I’ve come to appreciate my own namesake, Saint Denys, who wrote of the divine names, and was way ahead of his times.
I love this vineyard for many reasons, one main one being it has a solid basis with Ortho Christianity. I don’t think that can stay static and survive in our changing times. In fact, if we are to stop the war on Russia, as we intend, we have to update and make relevant, Jesus. A name that eeriely resonates as Je Zeus, and Gee, s/he’s us. Jesus comes from the Greek love of word play and math, and so do we. Wee?
I call Jesus: “She’sus” to convey the universal and primal feminine qualities of nature and Jesus. Hence, my emphasis on love; and others’ true care, compassion and new coined words like Putin’s “nature-like technologies.”
I think we orthodox have to loosen and lighten up; and not be too rigid, without falling to the excess of nihilism and relativism. If we start unraveling, we end up with serious considerations that become extremely threatening because we lack a convincing background alternative story. It’s not good to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so discernment is required, as Bro observes.
This largely information war can be won, but only in a community that is free to explore. This vineyard is so far very good at keeping a balance between freedom and responsibility, in my opinion. True love has to address the issue of war, because war attacks ortho love, and will destroy us all if we do not resist, militarily as in the case of Russ, Iran, Syria and Hezbolla; but someone has to develop Orthodoxy so that it strikes at the heart of empire.
I loved John Henry Newman first for his writing skill, and for his attempt (failed) to find a middle way between Rome and Protestantism. He thought it was anglicanism but he knew nothing of anglo-zionism. He ignored politics which I think was wrong.
Jesus did not ignore politics but went right straight into the heart of the beast: Jewish religion and Romanish power-ism. He advocated for and was change himself. He changed everything and started a whole new game. He never intended to finish it. He said: what I do, you too will do, and even greater. We do him a disfavor if we encase him in some kind of ortho concrete stalin-steel statue.
Jesus changed the way we look at God. He brought into awareness a God who was an affectionate Abba to the point of calling God Love. My intuition is that we have to continue that advance by advancing the cause of Love. God was and still is all tied up with patriarchy. Jesus set God free somewhat but he could not, given his culture, go too far. We can take God a bit further down freedom road.
If God is a real patriarchal man at all, he will serve the interests of stopping war on womam values. Jesus became a God-Man through theological development. Now we need a further development to God-Man-Love where God and Man serve the cause of Love, as the Center of Centers.
I would rewrite the Bible and cross through (not black out) the word God and replace it with Love; and likewise cross though Lord and replace it with Lover. Culture is changed by language, and this would be a start. The authorization and justification for such a change is given by God Himself, when He says through Saint John: “God is Love.” (agape in Greek).
God is saying that Love is the primary term in the non-equal equation. God therefore serves Love, and a true God would say: “She must increase; I must decrease.” Saint Denys, the church father, talked of the divine names. He opened the door to God’s first name, Love or Agape. That means His own name, God, must take second place, at best, along with Goodness, Truth and Beauty.
If we can straighten out the God Game, we will end the War Game, and initiate the Love Game. It already is a Love Game, to use the tennis term, with love as the ground zero, that comes before even the One. The zodiac thus comes to its own core, bringing mathematics with it.
Jesus brought the calendar of time to zero, and reset time and space. We don’t have to re-invent the wheel of time or the whorl of space. We just have to tweek words a bit to reorient them to their origin icon symbol. This sakervineyard, I understand (or misunderstand), was conceived by changing letters around in a different numerical sequence. The name Jesus is similar.
Words produce wonder. I wonder as I wander out under the sky, why Jesus the savior came for to die. He died on a + rather than an x. But he rose as an x (the chi-rho) rather than a +. Christ or Christos x’d out some words and replaced them with a different Word. He challenged the orthodox of his day to do the same.
The love army has come to continue Jesus’ game. It accepts the orthodoxy of our time but brings it back to the basics which have been forgotten. The Basic of all the basics is love, as he said over and over in word and deed. “A new commandment I give you: love, love and more love.”
I got carried away. Love does that. Love exegesis brings me to earth, where war rages and a vineyard engages.

Nuclear War Is Not on the Table – Because It Makes No Sense
Federico Pieraccini

It’s a good article with good arguments but there’s a slight problem. It relies on common sense for execution -and as Mark Twain wrote “common sense isn’t”.
Lower level actors in the nuclear game can trigger domino actions that are essentially irrevocable.
Higher level actors can easily lose their script and flounder; here’s the guy with the keys:

Speaking about wars.
That’s how the elite Russian Special Forces get trained for conventional wars:

Enduring Hell to get the Beret
Yup, the world seems to bearing in to something big – like war. The new “democratic” and “free” Argentinian dictatorship has just suspended RT Spanish and TeleSUR from nationwide (free) broadcasting on very short notice …
Check it here
Could it be that one came as a hint from Washington? You bet so … Just don’t believe that they have balls and capacity to just be “more papal than the pope”.
The “free” and “democratic” EU states UK, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland have either banned TV (temporarily) stations they don’t like (Russian ones in Baltics, PressTV in UK) or denied entry to Russian journalists. The reason? “Threat to national security” or “war mongering and inciting ethnic hatred”. Does is sound familiar? Well yes, something that Soviet aparatchicks would maybe decide 40 years ago …
And in the case of Estonia, it is actually doing ethnical cleansing campaign against Russian speaking population.
EU response? Either clapping to censhorship or turning blind eye on all violations …
Yes, I read about RT in Argentina, and was pretty shocked. I guess Macri decided to show his true colours pretty blatantly. Argentina and Brazil are back in the fold of the empire…
Super off-topic…
Can some computer wizard out there (Martin, or someone?) tell me, why oh why, out of the blue ZeroHedge website is loading all screwed-up for me?
Text is broken down in vertical never ending lines, impossible to read… The headlines don’t even show properly [it‘s one bold letter at the time on top of the next in a VERTICAL incomprehensible format], never mind the illustrating pictures that usually go along with the headlines that don’t show-up anymore…
Before anybody asks, yes: I do have a bunch of script blockers (disabling them, made no difference whatsoever) so, now I’m contemplating updating FireFox, even though I’d rather not to.
To tell you the truth.
MayDay… mayday… – over (?) –

Try these steps: Link

It happens to me too sometimes with random pages and half an hour (or five minutes) later everything works correctly by itself.
Hi TL2Q,
sorry for the delay, I rarely go to any restaurant (rather to the cheapest local supermarket for 1/10th of the money) and this cafe is no exception.
About 5 days ago ZH was down for 1 hour. Later I found that they have upgraded their entire site to a completely new layout, new JS scripts and annoyingly even more Ads including some nasty full-screen ads.
The entire site is not as compact and fancy as it used to be. Additionally loading it is mre sluggish on slow hardware.
But to answer your question: As you correctly assumed: Your browser appears to be too old.
You nowadays need at least FF40 or better 45.
“But to answer your question: As you correctly assumed: Your browser appears to be too old.

I read this and ZeroHedge with Firefox22. ZH added a bunch of crap to
their Drupal site.
Simplest solution is to add Adblocker/Noscript/Ghostery to FF and also n addon called TOGGLE CSS.
Turn the CSS off in ZH and it will even better than before – appearing a bit like an RSS feed!
@TL2Q:
Never use any other binaries than those straigt from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/products/
Or best: Build the src code yourself:

@ Martin from Soviet East-Berlin
Martin, I wonder how safe is the Firefox which I get with my Mint Linux package, from https://linuxmint.com/ ?
(The Mint package itself is great (I use the KDE versions, have a powerful PC, I built it myself), applications work “out of the box”, etc.)
@ Martin:
Plenty of thanks once again!
What you’re saying makes total sense to me [sorry, to the other two posters, not being disrespectful, or anything…], starting from the time that ZH got screwy on me, was bang-on about the time you described here: “About 5 days ago ZH was down for 1 hour. Later I found that they have upgraded their entire site to a completely new layout [..]”
^ That’s about precisely the time when things stop working for me. And they’re still not working, btw (despite my best attempts) :(
So… all it’s left to me now is upgrading the darn browser! Huh!? You have no idea how much I hate doing that [not your fault, of course] hence: the reason why I try to avoid it it as much as I humanly can.
And don’t worry, all my add-ons are always from Mozilla [I’ve learned that the hard way].
–
Someone at TheSaker.is should hire this man as an IT technician. Pronto!
–
But seriously, Martin, thanks for your help :)
-TL2Q
Tnx Comrade TL2Q :)
But don’t exaggerate.
Yes, I ported FF already to rarely used OS platforms including non-x86 hardware, but still I feel like knowing nothing.
Mozilla Core has about as many lines of src code and a Boeing 787:
http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/million-lines-of-code/
Here an outdated summary:
In a Nutshell, Mozilla Firefox…
…
has had 303,221 commits made by 3,957 contributors
representing 13,484,884 lines of code
…
is mostly written in C++
You can expect that they meanwhile have millions more, especially after having added more and more multimedia functionality (less and less need for a flash plugin).
As for the Saker job: This is not a Soviet Union site and even some of my comments don’t make it through anymore. I doubt anybody wants to give me full access here. Also it would be yet another unpaid full-time job, of whom I already have 2.
Nevertheless big thanks for your motivating words which help me in my dire $$$ial situation a bit to continue with my current device driver project, which I will soon give away for free ;-)
Article about Mohammad Ali
“What people are celebrating is a life of courage,” said Monteiro,”a life dedicated to extreme generosity towards the poor and oppressed, a man who was principled and kind, a person who is probably the greatest cultural and sports figure of modernity, he was a world transformative figure, and I don’t think we’ll ever see the likes of Muhammad Ali again.”
…
“So Muhammad Ali is this great anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist, and the ruling elite just can’t wrap their heads around the enormity of his impact on world humanity…”

Fascinating story on Sputnik. Here are some quotes from the long and interesting article, well worth reading.
“The story of Muhammad Ali’s trip to “rescue American hostages” is back in the media since the June 3 death of this unique individual. “We admire the man who has never stopped using his celebrity for good — the man who helped secure the release of 14 [sic] American hostages from Iraq in 1990,” wrote President Obama.”
…
“Unfortunately the current telling of this story largely misses or obscures the main point of Ali’s trip to Iraq, what happened there and why…”
“Ali’s trip to Iraq was in fact vehemently opposed by the George H.W. Bush Administration. The mass media castigated and ridiculed him at the time. He went to Iraq in defiance of the U.S. government and not on its behalf.
I was the central organizer of Muhammad Ali’s peace delegation that traveled to Iraq in 1990, the delegation to which Saddam Hussein released 15 American hostages.
The delegation Ali led to Baghdad was organized by the U.S. anti-war movement that was at that time bringing thousands, and eventually hundreds of thousands, of people into the streets in an ever-growing mass street protest movement throughout the United States in 1990 and 1991….”
“The Coalition to Stop U.S. Intervention in the Middle East (our admittedly unwieldy name) was made up of hundreds of grassroots peace and community organizations. Ramsey Clark had allowed his downtown Manhattan law office to be used rent-free as the headquarters and mobilization center of these anti-war organizers and volunteers who over-ran that small office from August 1990 during the entire carnage known as the first Gulf War which finally ended on February 28, 1991….”
…
“Ali was deeply concerned. As he told me numerous times during the trip, he was concerned not about what would happen to us in Iraq, but rather about retribution when we got home from the media and especially the U.S. government that had demonized him and sentenced him to prison for refusing to go to Vietnam.
He was especially concerned that unless he returned with American hostages that he would be figuratively crucified by the media for cavorting with the enemy at a time when the patriotic drums of war were being beaten at an increasingly feverish pitch. He was right to be worried…”
…
“When we left from Iraq on December 2 with the American hostages, our delegation was greeted in Amman, Jordan, by State Department representatives. This was no happy greeting or celebration of freedom. Instead, the mood was grim. The U.S. government was infuriated that Ali had demonstrated that “talking” worked and moreso that it was the anti-war movement that had led the way in defiance of the government… ”

Tegularius,
The very sad thing with these kind of people like Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay) is, that they are recognized in their truth always too late or even worse, after their death. The good thing is, that at least some people, like you, are pointing the finger to such human values we once had.
Many thanks for this inspiring resume of Ali, and the work of peace people of the time. It is truly inspiring. I think you have given me a gift of a modern hero. Thanks again.
Thank you, brothers, for your words of appreciation.
Kind words are the essence of a society based on love.
The grateful anonymous was me.
I am constantly amazed at how resilient Soviet designs prove to be, from the AK-47 to the T-34, T-55, T-62, and T-72. Another good example is the Su-24 “Fencer,” which is over 40 years old, and still going strong. Canada struggles with “air frame fatigue” on its F-18As, but the Russian air force proved the Su-24 has still been effective and capable of using the latest ordinance.
All of that being said, I think the Russian army should be unloading more of its “obsolete” AK-47s to US street gangs as payback for continued US support for anti-Russian terror and NGO gangs. If enough of the 99% in the US revolt, they can take down Russia’s (and the world’s) true enemies like George Soros, Warren Buffet, etc.
Brilliant suggestion!
Hello, the new Cafe is open, coffee or chocolate with cigarette and a map of Paris, like the Windmills of my Mind :
Don Quijote and the Windmills
Don Quijote de la Mancha
And his servant Sancho Panza,
Saw the windmills in the noon
Menacing like a Dragoon…
In his mind with Dulcinea
Has a very good idea.
Wrote the verses on the sand,
In the windmills of his mind :
In the windmills of my mind
We are going hand in hand.
You are sensles, you are kind,
Like a deaf and like a blind.
Hand in hand we go together
Hate and love in one, forever,
You are cruel then you are tender,
Love and tears and then surrender.
Blossom tree in mid of May
Then is nothing more to say,
Lovely romance comes in June,
Happy nights under the Moon.
Sour grape in sweet September
And hot ice in cold December.
Love is foolish, love is blind,
In the windmills of my mind.
Don Quijote with his skills,
Give a chance to windy mills
Letting us to laugh and cry,
When he learned a bit to fly…
And some proper music as consolation, a famous piece from a famous film with Steve McQuinn :
In the windmill of your Mind – Neil Diamond

I never knew that chess (which I do play passably) could be so erotic. Check and mate.
McQueen becomes king. Miss Queen becomes as vulnerable as a king. The players and their mutual vulnerabilities complement each other and they naturally transcend the aggression and limits of the two dimensional checker board squares of base consciousness and No Care for each other.
The tension can only be maintained so long.
True Care must emerge and win the game,
Or this spherical board will go up in flames.
Better a bitter draw, and then sweet union,
To bring in Dennis’ type of Love Communion.
A neighbor of a Barstow tenant, a retired marine from New York who “rides” claims that Steve McQueen used to haul his motorcycle out there (far enough from LA that he wouldn’t be bothered by paparazzi) to ride on the semi deserted roads of the Mojave Desert, which they did together a time or two.
Some one should bus that table. It looks like a thick mocha or hot chocolate in the cup has mold growing in it. But a thin wisp of smoke rises from the ashtray. And who leaves their wallet on a cafe table except someone swept up in a romantic Parisian dream or some other sort of delirium?
Cauloises? A hotel in Paris. If you hung on to your matches you can sell them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Matchbook-Vintage-CAULOISES-Hotelibis-Hotel-France-Matches-MATCH-COVER-UNUSED-/331674915810. But I’d hang on to them if I were you.
Ioan does double in verse duty. Outer insight, inner beauty. Dennis connects the dots and makes more sense. What was less is more, what is more was less. Polarity in action. What used to slip is gaining traction.
Kalashnikov is like Smith in Russian, AK 47s are like Smith & Wessons. Some say our brains have for sure betrayed us, but 80 million US firearms may yet save us. I wish those arms were coordinated, but before it gets sorted out, it could get very messy.
Words pack a punch and the Greatest knew it, he composed thought-spirit-action as he threw it. When it comes to the spiritual fight, you must have both a left and a right.
Logic and morality say nukes are off the table. The problem is, psychopathy and human error are no fable. So great care must be taken until that alien illness is healed. Like Ali, keep moving and jabbing, until all is revealed.
Bro,
Thanks for your comments and the verses (saved them). Yes indeed, Steve McQueen was a great biker, remember one his roles in the Grand Escape he took a German BMW for a ride which was not too successful by the way, he couldn’t reach to Switzerland. Great film with great actors. Gauloise is french cigarette also, very stark one, not so stark as the Cuban “Popular” or “Ligueros”. Of course, you’re not a smoker. When I was young I’ve made sport, judo and karate, being under the influence of Bruce Lee, as many other young friends at that time. We managed to have a private club just for us in a garage with plenty of fighting-training assets. At the Disco Club, the way was open for us and the girls were happy to dance with the “fighters”, non the less letting themselves courted. Without TV and Internet, without Iphones, we were happy, having much more time for the “real thing” as Dennis uses to say. We were physically fit and physically not brainwashed, and man…that was in the Eastern Block…The Real Thing.

Round, like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that’s burning
Running rings around the room
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why does summer go so quickly?
Was it something that you said?
Lovers walk along the shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
In the fragment of this song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair?
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Pictures hanging in a hallway
In the fragment of this song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the color of her hair?
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Thanks for the lyrics T 13.
The most clear expression in song (that I can think of presently……..although there must be more classic forms of the same theme………) of the Universal Principle of Correspondence. Self-similarity, Golden Section, etc, etc. All is Mind. With Polarity as another principle, it would seem that all is not yet Love…………However it is said that heat and cold are not really polar opposites, but only differ in degree….of atomic or molecular vibration…….and that another Universal Principle is: Everything is in motion, nothing is in a perfect state of rest. If so, Absolute Zero could not exist.
Does “elite” psychopathy mean Absolute Lack of Care exits? Apparently!
How will Love conquer that, short of brain surgery?
Correspondence is clear. It’s a mirror.
Polarity is a paradox. For me, at least, at times.

Thanks for your kind words, just put in verses for you :
Vineyard Army of your mind
Our minds are getting windy
Day by day we’re getting crazy.
Love Cafe in windy mind
In this circle yet we find
Every time when I got tired
Something happens,I got hired.
When you feel, yourself on floor,
Someone tells you, do it more.
I don’t know what is the reason
Maybe age or maybe season ?
We are closer to the endgame
But the army has its own game.
Shall we trumpet the retreat ?
And accept our own defeat ?
Well, I think is not the case
Cause we’re building our base.
In this Cafe of the VIneyard,
Lovely Army has his safeguard.
Now is here and now we find
Vineyard Army of your mind.
The Love Army of the Mind
Will in time as we shall find
Past grasping of the blind
Restore physics of the kind
Even we shall fly to Moon
In the war, in the Typhoon
We are going hand in hand
From beginning till the end
Can anyone comment on the pan-orthodox council that was due to take place?

In this link, Mount Athos warns about this council and the “eschatological prophecies”? What are
these prophecies?
Btw, is Katehon a good information site?
The monks respectfully point out that certain key differences need to be emphasized, certain key words need to be reinserted, and certain key principles need be affirmed. This conference will be one more step in the hybrid war if the forces of chaos have their way.

Pan-Orthodox Council or Bartholomew’s Benefit? By Mikhail Tyurenkov
http://katehon.com/article/pan-orthodox-council-or-bartholomews-benefit
The above two articles seem similar to what I have read on Russian blogs.
Prophesies are referring to the eight pan-orthodox council I think but are hardly ever explained. Maybe everyone in the orthodox world knows them.

TBILISI, June 10. /TASS/. The Georgian Orthodox Church will not take part in the Pan-Orthodox Council to be held in Crete on June 17-27.
Over the past days several Orthodox churches have refused to attend the Pan-Orthodox Council. The Bulgarian Church was the first to declare it will be absent. The Patriarchate of Antioch (Syria) followed. And the Serbian Orthodox Church declared its refusal to attend on Thursday.
The Russian Orthodox Church on June 10 put forward an idea of convening a consultative meeting first.
In the meantime, the Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople made a decision to go ahead with preparations for the Council as planned.

On Monday, June 13, 2016, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church will meet for an extraordinary session to discuss the extraordinary situation, which has developed after the refusal of several Local Orthodox Churches to participate in the work of the Pan-Orthodox Council planned to take place from June 18 to 27 in Crete.

Can anyone explain to me why Putin does not fire the woman who heads the central bank? And, why he does not get rid of the existing central bank and take back the money producing function by the state?
I’m sure the short answer to your question is that the reasons for this policy are unknown. However, if one were to speculate, Putin and those supporting him wish to maintain normal trading relations with the West as well as integration into the global financial system. The current status of the Central Bank is clearly necessary for this.
I came here to look for a Saker comment on Orlando(so close to home in many ways after all)…..But anyway….here in this link is an insight from South Front you might not have seen re. Russian politics – https://southfront.org/putins-system/
@Dennis: Ok..Let us hope that .One battalion of your massing army consists of shock troops untainted by TV or any form of video propaganda. Actually, a friend of mine has home schooled a wonderful, radiant girl child now 17 who has been integrated into society gradually from the age of 14. She can Think! has a generous heart. and a built in radar for b.s ( except for deviously clever teenage boys for whom she is a push over: let us hear it for hormones!) Below posted in RI taken from Paul Craig Robert’s site:
http://russia-insider.com/en/cockroaches-inherit-earth/ri14920
TV is the opiate of the masses when they are not taking prescription drugs or smoking pot. Marijuana dissolves into the myelin sheath around the nerves and stays there seeping out gradually for years–plus it messes up big time with the developing adolescent brain.
It would be good if you could address why we have schools that don’t teach, hospitals that do not heal, politics that do not preserve the social contract and food, water and air that is toxic. It will get to Ojai sooner or later– the creeping blight or perhaps not.
Ojai may be one of those favored refuges for the 1% and those who serve them directly ( house negros as Saker and Malcolm X put it). Well, be a thorn in their side and a bee in their bonnet: Deprive them their ace in the hole and the salve for their conscience. Puncture their “holier than thou” stance as they righteously vote for Killery to save us all from “The Wig (out).”
Either/Or will be the death of us all—think outside the box!
This corner in the cafe to me seems to be like a documentary center. The vision here sometimes goes until the unthinkable, and I have to admit same goes to me sometimes, and the mirror in the psyche creates its love armies. Carl Jung showed, the vision doesn’t know any individual, it only knows maybe mankinds unconscious unspreaded wings – therefore the impatience and Angst.
But someone in my consciousnes again and again pushes and shoves the dark clouds further … it is something like watching the undetacted facts, like that the 3 MOD’s met in Teheran this week when Mercury and Mars were playing the common Libra-game. Balance is Gods, imbalance is another game.
As I said, we shall learn to watch our leaders according to the heavens transmitting more than earthly wisdom.

Last time I was giving you an answer but never mind.
Hi ioan,
I really enjoyed that answer!! The poem, right? Dennis replied so eloquently to your verse, that I let him do the talking. I am so one-minded these days on the happenings in the Russian and German Ministries of Foreign Affairs, that I’ve almost lost the ability to talk or think about anything else. :-) Sad but true! And just when I think it’s time to let it go and move on, someone posts an article about preparing for war… and I involve myself again. Then mundanomaniac posts some personal comments and I get really teary-eyed, I can’t say why exactly. My Dad is 75, and just the other day, I told him for the first time that I understand better why he and my mother (whose visiting Europe with her sisters right now) placed such an emphasis on our German heritage. Even though it seemed not relevant to me in the post-modern Canadian world I was born into in 1973. Seriously, this was the source of many intense struggles between us over the years, and they would not budge an inch at all (even though it’s obvious that they were out-dated and no longer correct). I always marveled at that tenacity on their part. Anyway, I sensed he was satisfied to hear me acknowledge finally that they were right. And this post-modern liberalism that I so embraced for quite a few years turned out to be just a fad. I love this blog. And those who share their thoughts and knowledge here too.

Aw, ioan, such wonderful verses. Do you suppose the Queen will live to one hundred and thirteen? She seems strong enough to make it. Can you believe that I’m 3rd generation from immigrants? The first generation in our family to not learn German as the first language at home. Instead, while every single North American child was watching cartoons at 9 am on Saturday morning, I was at the German-Canadian club learning German, along with L. Scherer, A. Kaufmann, and others. When we were older, classes switched to Thursday evenings (these carried on until I graduated from high school). You can’t imagine how little sense this all made to me at the time. (“Shouldn’t we be trying to be mostly Canadian?” – no, apparently – “And why do you keep telling me that’s Ukrainian??” :-) It took me a really long time to comprehend that particular phrase.)
My mom’s actually on a boat cruise. Rec’d a text from her a few hours ago: “Another day. We r in Durnstein. Carry on to Melk to see the abbey, Have always wanted to see it. Trip is great. Concert last night was absolutely fabulous.Had a great day in Vienna.”
Thank you for the Excellent article comparing Putin’s speech with the chart of the USA . It would tickle me to see it reworked a bit and submitted to The Mountain Astrologer magazine. But? they do not pay for articles.
My hope is in that Aquarius moon representing the people of the USA. And with all the moody, self drama of the US Cancer Sun, Venus Jupiter, it is fortunate that the Russians are consummate diplomats and can deal with face saving bouts of pout. This slapping on of sanctions is so Cancer like:
I have offended a Cancer deeply and she still won’t look or talk to me after a year—been sanctioned!!!! Does my Aries self care? Nope. Will she get an apology —never. She lied and then she put personalities before principles: two big Aries no-nos. Of course, standing up in front of a meeting and exposing her was perhaps not the best strategy for friendship but it worked for getting things moving in the right way. sigh. Just doing what Aries do best but there is a reason why Libras, our opposites, are the diplomats of the deck. Mr. Putin is a Libra–bless his heart!
Is Russia an Aries ruled nation? like Germany and Norway and Great Britain?

Field Commander: Clashes between Kurds, Arabs Delaying SDF Operations to Liberate Raqqa
TEHRAN (FNA)- Clashes between the Kurdish forces and the US-sponsored Arab coalition which has recently entered Raqqa have delayed the operations by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to free the Northeastern city from the ISIL hands, a field commander said on Saturday.
“Involvement of a coalition of Kurdish, Arab, Assyrian, Christian and Turkmen forces into the Raqqa battle is in line with the US plots, in collaboration with Turkey, against Syria,” Faras Shaboul told FNA.

JJ, you are priceless. I can’t keep myself in touch with these peoples mind, who are they to have such diabolical thinking ? nothing is sacred, even the sport is politicized. This evil can be defeated only by N-bomb. Like it or not, we have to parish too, like the Russian soldier by calling the bombing on him…there will be no other way.
Football…..the continustion of diplomacy by “other ” means…………
Marseilles has been run by OAS-CIA-Mossad since after World War II when they along with elements of the mafia eliminated the leftist trade union control of the docks/port. Rough town.
Hegemon’s monomaniacal war against Russia: Church conferences, sports matches –nothing is sacred. Even art and music no doubt will be considered a “battlefield against the other”.
What irks me about these accusations in Marseilles is that it is ” the English fans vs.the Russian fans”: No, it is agent provocateurs, a core of them, and certain individuals in particular posing as fans but with other agendas. I know how it worked as it was a problem in the mass demonstrations in the 1960’s with the ultra leftists/Maoists who wanted to draw people into conflict with the police and thus hijack the political nature of the action. Same modus operandi in Marseilles for the purpose of chaos/destruction.
It takes a core of crowd marshals to identify and isolate them and also to direct people to safety once the disruption occurs. The Russians were hip to this when it came to nipping in the bud any nonsense during the mourning for Nemtsov in Moscow.
As for this current Pope in Rome: he is not a “good guy” fundamentally as he will compromise to survive in the waters in which he swims. He did the bidding of his superiors ( obedience) when he was the young head of the Jesuit order in Argentina–no Bonhoeffer was he–during a very, very nasty period in Argentina’s history. He did what he did and was able to save some lives, but he carries the essential moral compromise
around him like a fetid cloud. And he represents, unsurprisingly enough, a major institution in Western Christianity. No Mindszenty is he.
So beware of wolves in lamb of the world’s clothing in ecumenical conferences.
Thanks for reminding me of Cardinal Mindszenty, who up til now was residing in the backrooms of my mind. You give me another hero to match Ali Mohammed.

I suppose that it is my own fault for watching Fox News. But it looks obvious to me that in addition to the “real” enemy, Russian and possibly China which the retired Generals and “analysts” invoke in reverent and hushed tones, speaking in vague and abstract terms, there needs to be a credible threat that can be sold to the American people and Radical Islam fits the bill. We are told that “we are at war” but this war is not catastrophic, having nuclear immolation as its telos. I am just a dumb peon from fly-over country, but I suppose that something like this was bound to happen, I mean the US bombs the hell out of other countries and lets people from those countries immigrate. And then there is Sibel Edmond’s book the Lone Gladio. …

It’s a cloudy day here where the suns usually shines. It suits my mood, and also the mood of the world, or so it seems. I went to the Dylan concert last night in Santa Barbara. Kind of a last hurrah for me. Sad to see his black bus the first one out, and my son’s little blue convertible next to last.
Windmills of the mind. So beautiful. The mind is a precious thing, too precious to destroy. And yet, it is the first target targeted by the enemy of the good and beautiful. The love army’s first division is Thought, in other words, the Mind; or in Christian theology, the Word. When the real war commences before the US elections, the love army will think its way into the entrails of empire, one mind at a time, where one minds defeats apathy, boredom and vanity, for the sake of all minds.
The is part of the strategy, in answer to PCR’s question: “What can be done when the entire West demon-strates a death wish for Planet Earth?” The first division of love will attack first, with no forewarning, for “we know not the day or hour.” I know what I will do now. I think love. Sometimes it’s all I can do to keep from drowning in dull indifference.
The love army will make a difference to Michael Hudson’s precognition of “neo-feudalsim,” begun by… neoconized Clinton, George W. Bush and Obama regimes, each as criminal regimes on par with Nazi Germany.” (PCR)
And yes, TV and MJ are a “creeping blight to Ojai,” which I intend to bring to light at the Ojai council meeting Tuesday in more general coded referents, unless the empire succeeds in disabling my mind first. I see the effect of TV and MJ and a thousand things more, with the face of innocence and the heart of violence, in and around me.
I do not have to go far to meet the enemy. It’s a thorn in my side, my hurt pride and God on my side. I’m “tangled up in blue,” and “pay in blood, but not my own,” even as I ride that “Ducane train” and long for moonlight romance. “She’s everything I need and want, but I can’t be swayed by that.”
Like Melancholy, with my head in my hand, I stare at the vacuum of my mind, helpless as a rich man’s child. And then the love army emerges over the eastern hill, like the sun arising from the black night, “terrible as an army in battle array.” I don’t know what to say, so I just follow orders.
I think: what if I die a slow, agonizing death in a fireball heat? Then I think love, and a firewall appears, and Eden reappears, and Eve gives me a touch that removes my fears. I don’t have to know the result; if I’m truly in love I can overcome the greatest tumult. The natural sign of that is the death and resurrection of nature; not necessarily connected to a belief or text.
But allow me to use one, for the emotional intel involved: Je’s-us rose from death in the garden and was standing there, somewhat dazed and disoriented. His lover, Mary, came early to place flowers on his grave. “And thinking him to be the gardener, said ‘Sir, can you tell me where they have laid him?'” Jesus was stricken to the heart by her thunderbolt, and bolted down to earth, and in amazement, turned around and looked at her, as if awakened from a dream, and said: “Mary.” She dropped the flowers for the dead, and fell, weeping into his arms as if dead; as he weeping, fell into hers, as if alive with life itself.
I’ve changed some of the biblical details for my better self-understanding. When I fall in love, if ever, I awaken from the nightmare of this present lost world. I cannot be saved within the prison of what this once pure world has become. I need a love army, or as Jesus said: a legion of angels comin’ after me.
That army of love or legion of angels arises like a phoenix from the ashes of a possible nuclear final solution. It has happened before right on this planet and it could happen again. But “death is not the end.” Unless I make it so by denying the reality of love. Love approaches with her gift, like an army or like an amorous vineyard, as the occasion requires.
The English word “love” has become a loaded word, too gentle to bear the weight of a fallen world upon her shoulders. But the Word has not been enough to stop war. It has had 2000 years of agony and ecstasy, and now the final war is upon us in the battle called Russia. “Give love a chance” to do what has never been done. To do what even God has not won.
I’m as weak as bee’s knees but so was Saint Paul. “My strength is made perfect in weakness.” “They said it couldn’t be done but he won the war after losing every battle.” “You have heard them rumors and I have heard them too.” They are not true and we know it. The evidence piling up here in this vineyard in incontestable. The love being generated here is enough to topple ten Roman empires.
Jesus was able to subdue one with his focused on one word: love. The ante has been upped, so with this more powerful and global beast, we need ten divisions of the one love. This time around there is no mistaking the applications. The standard has been set, the flag raised, the challenge issued and the battlefield chosen.
It’s high noon at the last shootout at the OK Corral, synchronized with both hands straight up on the clock ticking at one o’clock from this computer information energizer. The love army energizes me by its Thought of Love. I just have to reciprocate by my own thought of love, and then follow through with the nine supporting divisions. I try to be a neutral observer of the actions but I am ineluctably becoming a participant.
There’s a story, probably apocryphal, that on his deathbed, Lenin said he could have saved Russia if he had ten Saint Francis’s. In other words, he did not have a love army. Some Russian notable, I think, asked in derision: “How many divisions does the Pope have?” He apparently was ridiculing non-military strength. I was once a member of Francis’ order, as the present Pope Francis is not. My point is that ten divisions of love, in the form of an army, will win this war, even though the world as a whole will become a black hole no-thing.
“Someone else is speaking with my mouth, but I’m only listening to my heart.” I get what I get. It’s not communal sacred sex yet, but it’s getting there. For my own mental and emotional peace, I’ve got to get that nobody else is reading this, because I can’t be swayed by that, although “she’s everything I need and want.” I have to write for empty space, otherwise I get coughed up in needs and wants.
This is a war for keeps, baby, and the winner gets to keep it all. I’ve got to be all in, got to risk it all, have nothing to lose, nothing to gain; just do what needs to be done. OK, I’m done.
21 line salute to love:
I woke up delirious, after a delicious crazy dream
Now I write wondering what it all could mean
I asked you if the love army won, and was the war done
Yes, you said as you held my heart in your arms
World War III had come and gone and there was no harm
I feel sad that I missed it all and foolish that I did
I feel just like a little kid, trying to keep it down and hid
I’m frightened of the dark and worse at the morning lark
Nothing I do it seems can please you, if you are you
Is that you in my chest, holding me against your breast?
I hear of an awful war like there never was before
If it came to me in my flesh, would it even matter?
I would die a thousand deaths if you were me
I wouldn’t even feel the pain if I were you in me
But, oh the pain, if you weren’t here to hold me tight
Hold me, love, in the night of my darkest, deepest fright
To be abandoned and left alone in that crazy, raging war
The dream I had was wondrous crazy but now it’s hazy
As I awake to this real world, I feel crushed at heart
The fog is lifting and the sun is sliding through the blinds
The pain of sadness binds me as the war unwinds
rather a good good poem Dennis, thanks.

An all-embracing assessment of the Russian military, it’s capabilities and plans for the future can be found at the current blog entry of http://theriseofrussia.blogspot.com. Exceptionally detailed information, lots of links.
Scroll down to “The Rise of the Russian Army – Preparing for Future Wars” to get to the beginning of the article. The first 30% or so of the page is about Armenia and it’s conflict with Azerbaijan.

Thanks for the link, I will check that
@ gvp : Interesting analysis of Armenian military preparedness . Thanks. I was unaware that the Israelis were selling the Azeri s high tech drones, and tank busters. The Israelis were training the Georgians in 2008 for upgraded missile defense but it did not help much against the Russians.. I think they managed to down a MIG or two which the Russians analyzed and corrected ASAP.
Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled Obaidi on Monday took charge of the F-16 fighter aircraft wing to carry out airstrikes on the Daesh positions in the terrorists’ stronghold of Fallujah.

I am thinking about all the female defense ministers in Europe who doesn’t have a clue about how it is to fight a war…..
I think, it might be a good idea for the german speaker, to have the “kernel-version” of the

After all the MSM talking about “Russian” Fans rioting in France. RT has this today,”Seven English football fans, three Frenchmen, and an Austrian have received prison sentences in France for taking part in clashes ahead of a Euro 2016 match between England and Russia in Marseille on Saturday”. Not a single Russian on the list. I suspect that unlike the MSM,which can “get away” with accusing Russians for anything. The police and courts “actually” have to have “provable” evidence of guilt to convict people.

not only that, Uncle Bob1, but they probably will refrain from mentioning that actual ucranians were involved…might just not fit the official version
