Hello “Bro 93”,
Regarding: http://www.schillerinstitute.org/fid_97-01/001_LaR_Prometheus.html
Prometheus was one of the legitimate heirs to the power of the colony. He joined the Olympians in the opposition to the tyranny itself, but fought against the brutalizing new tyranny which the patricidal sons of Olympia imposed upon the Berber population, over the corpse of Zeus’s butchered father.
Interesting, interesting…
mundanomaniac (Servus! Aus Oberbayern?) wrote:
Although this sounds wise, I see it differently. LaRouche is saying clearly, that the saga of the Titans vs the Olympians renders real historical facts. I’m definitely with him on this.
If we follow this postulate, then I find it very interesting to ask ourselves: if these were real historical facts, what about the “superpowers” these Titans and Olympians had? What about their big stature (giants)? Even today we call somebody a Titan, when we want to say, that he is “big”, “great” in something. What about their advanced technology?
The Titans and the Olympians were very few, compared with the vast number of humans. Was it for this reason, that these “gods” married their sisters and daughters? Had they no choice?
Were the Titans the Elohim from the bible? (Elohim by the way is in Hebrew masculine & feminine in plural: meaning gods & goddesses)
Were the Olympians the “Sons of God” of the bible?
Were the “half gods” which the Olympians generated with the “daughters of men” the Nephilim of the bible?
Were the Titans & Olympians the Anunnaki of the Sumerians?
However you see this, one thing is for sure (IMHO): without the full revelation of this our past, I suppose that we aren’t able to understand, where we are really coming from, what is really happening to us on this planet and where we as humanity are going.
Prometeus, you are asking the questions which very many are conditioned to avoid at all costs, for fear of being “out of step” with majority opinion.
I am also asking similar questions. And some of the same questions. Fully aware that clear answers may appear during my remaining days, OR, may not appear.
By the way, I wish you were around in the “Goddess” Cafe days late last winter and all spring 2016, when the poetry started here (I call ioan “most prolific”…he’s been the mainstay!) because your comment brings up my favorite Alexander Pope couplet:
“A little learning is a dangerous thing
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian Spring.”
Now I need to read the article from 40 years ago, again. Now I need to keep going with Book 2 of Zecharia Sittchin’s Earth Chronicles seven book set, also: “The Stairway to Heaven”.
I wish I read Sumerian and could check Sitchin’s contention that we were colonized by Anu and his sons Enlil and Enki from Nibiru (The Twelfth Planet is Book 1 of the 7…read it last week…) a bit more close to the source! Instead, lacking time to learn 4-5 ancient middle eastern languages, I must proceed openly but carefully, as I am, in reading the Russian scholar.
For now, since we are discussing our limited time, I conclude with the end of Essays on Man, Epistle 2 (of 4) found here:
http://www.gutenberg.org/files/2428/2428-h/2428-h.htm
See some strange comfort every state attend,
And pride bestowed on all, a common friend;
See some fit passion every age supply,
Hope travels through, nor quits us when we die.
Behold the child, by Nature’s kindly law,
Pleased with a rattle, tickled with a straw:
Some livelier plaything gives his youth delight,
A little louder, but as empty quite:
Scarves, garters, gold, amuse his riper stage,
And beads and prayer-books are the toys of age:
Pleased with this bauble still, as that before;
Till tired he sleeps, and life’s poor play is o’er.
Meanwhile opinion gilds with varying rays
Those painted clouds that beautify our days;
Each want of happiness by hope supplied,
And each vacuity of sense by pride:
These build as fast as knowledge can destroy;
In folly’s cup still laughs the bubble, joy;
One prospect lost, another still we gain;
And not a vanity is given in vain;
Even mean self-love becomes, by force divine,
The scale to measure others’ wants by thine.
See! and confess, one comfort still must rise,
’Tis this, though man’s a fool, yet God is wise.”
I have battled Dennis on his idea of God as a prudish patriarch.
Man (we, male and female) are temporal, finite. God, in the only conception that makes any sense to me, is infinite and eternal. And impossible to bound by any such human projected conceptions as patriarchal, matriarchal, and so on.
And whoever came here (or didn’t come here!?) and jump started our genes to make gold mining slaves out of us may have sold themselves as gods, but they definitely were not and could not be considered gods by anything other than a humanity in its infancy, IMHO, if they did in fact come here 450,000 years ago, approximately.
I don’t know about anyone else, but for my part, I don’t feel it necessary to close that investigation 5 minutes or 5 years after first beginning to wrap my mind around it.
I’ll drop in later in the day.
My understanding is that within the Sumerian texts the Anunnaki were refered to as gods as opposed to God. Seen as creators in a sense but not the all pervasive monotheistic God of the Hebrews. Much of what was written in the Old Testament was plagerised from the Sumarians, not much has changed in modern times with claims of brilliance from the Tribe who have a habit of stealing ideas from others and claiming them as their own.
As for personal interpretation of God, to me it is the summation of all that is. We are of God as is everything in creation. Not limited to a patriarchal figure above the clouds.
There is much we don’t know and as you said, going to the original texts would be preferable but for me, I have enough trouble learning Russian yet alone ancient languages (for me easier to be thrown in the deep end and have to rely on learning than distance learning). Interesting enough though is that the story of creation and its similarities across the human experience.
The poem of Goethe, “Prometheus”, which Larouche cites, was written in his 25th year, in his period called “Sturm und Drang” It was part of a fragmant of the young genius about this Titan-son.
I can only say, with 25 a man knows nothing. High time for the intellect … the reckless companion.
The philosopher in man, according to my experience, doesn’t start to become mature much
before the late thirties: the “Lebenswende” (Jung).
The soul in man (male and female) is a late blossom and a later fruit created by the voice in man
telling him the secrets of the unconscious nature.
Interesting also…forbidden history TV programme today in UK is looking at were giants actually the Nephalim….as from around megalithic times, Sardinian giants ,to the Pharaoh Ramses having these as a special body guard because they were gigantic build.
ioan:
I wanted to let you know, that I understand you. Very much indeed.
Young people don’t understand this. Except they have suffered a lot. Or “Christ” is already awake in their heart in an early age.
The most honest thing which I could reply to this is: if you have hope for the “other side”, I’m sure that your hope is justified! If you are tired of this life here, may you find a very nice place “over there” with those you love.
It would be hypocritical from me to try to convince you that it’s worth to stay here. If God allows me a choice: I would never ever come back to this planet and to this “humanity”.
Thank you for your courage and honesty.
@Prometeus
“It would be hypocritical from me to try to convince you that it’s worth to stay here. If God allows me a choice: I would never ever come back to this planet and to this “humanity”.” Yes, sir, I understand you also, this sentence is in my mind for some years. Sometimes I tend to think that I know “something”,..yes, I know only something but then as the more someone tries to go deeper in knowledge, the more comes the discovery on how far he/she is from knowing the truth. So, it’s better to say “I know nothing” ?…and this is not too far from reality. Anyway, the most important is the Way, and life is taking care for you to get it right, even if it hurts. Naturally, I can speak only from my own experience. There is also interesting your conversation with Bro 93.
Ioan: came across this in the comments of the ‘God Exists’ article at UNZ .
Maybe it can add to your quest:
Human beings are such subsystems. The “purpose” of their lives, and the “meaning” of their existences, is therefore to self-actualize in a way consistent with global Self-actualization or teleology…i.e., in a way that maximizes global utility, including the utility of their fellow subsystems. Their existential justification is to help the universe, AKA God, express its nature in a positive and Self-beneficial way.
If they do so, then their “souls”, or relationships to the overall System (“God”), attain a state of grace and partake of Systemic timelessness (“life eternal”). If, on the other hand, they do not – if they give themselves over to habitual selfishness at the expense of others and the future of their species – then they are teleologically devalued and must repair their connections with the System in order to remain a viable part of it. And if they do even worse, intentionally scarring the teleological ledger with a massive net loss of global utility, then unless they pursue redemption with such sincerety that their intense desire for forgiveness literally purges their souls, they face spiritual interdiction for the sake of teleological integrity.
Such is the economy of human existence. Much of what we have been taught by organized religions is based on the illogical literalization of metaphorical aspects of their respective doctrines. But this much of it is true: we can attain a state of grace; we can draw near to God and partake of His eternal nature; we can fall from God’s grace; we can lose our souls for doing evil. In all cases, we are unequivocally answerable to the System that grants and sustains our existence, and doing right by that System and its contents, including other subsystems like ourselves, is why we exist. Sometimes, “doing right” simply means making the best of a bad situation without needlessly propagating one’s own misfortune to others; the necessary sufferance and nonpropagation of personal misfortune is also a source of grace. Further deontological insight requires an analysis of teleology and the extraction of its ethical implications.
@Eimar
Thanks Eimar ! …just for your entertainment, try to check about Celtic roots in Transylvania.
I too noticed your comment ioan. I wanted to respond with the encouragement to allow your self to feel all that heaviness and sadness to its fullest, but then let it go. Really let it go, and feel yourself empty again- empty and receptive to something new. If we can become comfortable with a holy emptiness something approaches us- heralding what is being born anew amid all this darkness, chaos and confusion. You know what I mean right!
K
Thanks kinterra for your answer, you’re a gentle soul. Well, I’ll do my best every day, hopefully won’t have indigestion (I’m kidding)…see, there is some hope. I have noticed the points made by Goethe in your last Cafe post.

Like with almost everything else, our mental images of the Mafia have been imprinted by carefully misleading Hollywood productions – Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘The Godfather’ series springs to mind. If organized crime would only be so romantic and easy!
Internet sensation George Webb has an ongoing YouTube series on how the Mafia works at this very moment.
Topics covered: Color revolutions, Sarin gas attacks, Russian planes shot down, the stealing of Qaddafi’s gold, synthetic earth quakes in Haiti, organ trafficking, forced prostitution rings, the industrial disappearing of children, the money laundering through the F-35 racket and on and on.
Start with day 53 and work your way up. This is essential. Not to be missed.

Picking up from the last café, three additional points. (But first, even though I’m not much for conversation right now, I am enjoying the discussions of Bro 93, kinterra, ioan, Prometeus, TL2Q and others. Glad to read what you post. And welcome back, Uncle Bob 1 and Purple Library Guy!)
1) Alexandre Bissonnette, the mosque shooter in Quebec, Canada, who Facebook-likes Trump, Le Pen, the IDF among others, was captured alive. A bit unusual for this type of massacre. I thought of two possibilities. One – some Canadian authority who was supposed to cooperate and shoot Bissonnette, didn’t do it. Two – Israel/neocons are so confident that Trump will protect them, and Putin will stay out of it, that it doesn’t matter if Bissonnette implicates them. I think the second option is more likely. Paul Craig Roberts asks today, “Is Trump Losing to the Zionist Lobby and Deep State?”. He links to a Peter Koenig article. (http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2017/02/02/trump-losing-zionist-lobby-deep-state/) Someone needs to clearly explain to the new President why Netanyahu’s nickname is Satanyahu. Let’s start there.
2) For Canadians, PM Trudeau has taken heaps of criticism for not cancelling the 15 billion dollar sale of military vehicles to Saudi Arabia. While I think some outside interests are involved, Canadians generally speaking don’t want to sell anything military-related to Saudi Arabia. At the time, Trudeau argued that he followed through on the deal on principle, to show that Canada’s word means something when they agree to a deal. So, Trump just cancelled the TPP. Now, his reliability in deals is being questioned (not likely to matter for the US, though).
https://sputniknews.com/politics/201702021050274560-us-trump-tpp-reliability/
3) ” McCain calls Australian Ambassador to Reaffirm Importance of US-Australia Ties” IMO, guaranteed, this was to deliver a threat. And thanks for the map, a_____s.
https://sputniknews.com/politics/201702021050288451-us-australia-alliance-mccain/
I don’t know how is the house hold of Canada, but 15 billion is a nice amount of money for someone in that position as Trudeau is. There are – I suppose – large lobbies in the government and around who are very happy with this contract. That’s business “as usual” and there are only cool calculus in their mind… I also second your welcome to Uncle Bob 1, Purple Library Guy and…Kim !!!
@ Ioan
I wonder what you had for breakfast today Ioan? Yes, Uncle Bob is back to take the stewardship in the fight against the Abominable Empire trumpeting another version of “greatness” – which sounds as ominous as the previous “exceptional” (with which I agree for being exceptionally malevolent) and “indispensable” (they should prove it by disappearing from the face of the earth!).
But I have not seen PLG nor Kim. Do you know something we, the lesser Café habitues, don’t?

So insane McCain is a friend to Australia – and taking time to make special pal calls to the Aussie ambassador. EKKK. Give McCain is best pals with ISIS commanders – is that why Australia was including di the bombing raid that killed 60 Syrian soldiers at their Deir ezzor base in Sept 2016.
Trump wants to start a war with China, ???
Then he is going to need/want to use US bases in Australia to do that. In fact vastly increase the size and capacity of US bases in OZ. I am not sure he is the brilliant deal-maker he claims, if his opening ambit is to “slap” the Aussie prime minister. The refugee / illegal immigrant swap was a cumbersome deal by Obama to help Turnbull who was taking heat on the “boat-people” issue. To get the concession that some illegal immigrants would get to settle in the US – who would know what Australia conceded in the background. Shout first Donny should have done his due diligence on the deal.
The Aussie PM will be consigned to history very soon: the turnover rate is quite high at present.

February 2 is Candlemas in the Christian tradition or Imbolc – one of the cross quarter days- for the Celts. February 2 marks the mid-point in the cross of the year- forty days from Christmas and forty days until the spring Equinox. There is a change in the relationship of light to the world of nature. The sap begins to rise in the trees and perennial plants and new lambs are born at this time. [ Imbolc or Embolic means ewes milk}. In peasant cultures it was the time for workers to contract for another season on the land. There is an old Celtic Festival called “The Charming of the Plow” where the straw dolly that was saved from last year’s harvest is plowed into the soil again. There is also a old tradition to extinguish all the fires and flames in the household and a new flame onto the hearth from the church.
For the most part these old traditions are slipping into the distant past, but I try to keep them alive in small ways. I will light a new candle today and feel deep into the heart of the Mother soil where so many mysteries live.

LaRouche is saying clearly, that the saga of the Titans vs the Olympians renders real historical facts. I’m definitely with him on this.
Long ago, Robert Graves maintained that the Greek and other “myths” were all distorted, or re-interpreted memories of actual events.
and you believe, our dreams rest upon earlier happenings, and there was a time, when Twins governed
and Sissyphos was rolling the stone in earlier time and I was a delphin in earlier life?
I hold for Jungs lifelong observation, that the psyche is prone to fill each unknown with projection.
So to me it’s: the most I know about Putin, something about Xi and very little about the American conundrum. So lot’s of projection on the latter + something of Larchmonter 445.

Re the slo-mo US coup and Rex Tillerson: Well, the provocations in the Donbass proceed apace as the US blather in the UN maintains its usual abysmally low intellectual standards. And the neocons hand Mr Tillerson a red hot potato in the Ukraine during his first days in office.
This makes for true sadistic fun for the likes of the CIA-CNN as a man who is not a trained diplomat has to discover his sea legs –vite! vite !–in order to avoid being swept overboard.
One can hope that Mr. Lavrov very firmly pointed a few things out to him about how supporting those who are using ballistic missiles in shelling or even attempting to shell a city on the border of Russia is a big, big no-no and will not be tolerated. OK?
And don’t make us have to come in and clean out the 30 mile Minsk II truce line of tanks, missiles and other garbage etc. especially after we recognize the Donetz People’s Republic’s right to ask us to do so, OK?
Oh, and, please, do not even threaten us with NATO because you will only embarrass yourselves. Got it?

So. We have a slogan here right? “Stop the Empires war on Russia”
How do we implement that in our daily life (provided of course that we really believe that this is an important task/issue).
If you replace the word “Russia” with “The World”, it might be a bit more accurate.
So, again, how do YOU fight, and can you? (apart from being here, and express opinions, and commenting in circles of more or less nodding individuals with apparently the same values/opinions etc.).

There is a sneaky way to do that, with a colleague. It can be hard to strike up a conversation with a stranger, but if you and a friend go to sit somewhere, restaurant, waiting room, etc., you can have a ‘discussion, where one ‘educates’ the other with a voice loud enough to not be annoying, but can be overheard. This is non-threatening to eavesdroppers who do not have go on the defensive and argue, and might be more receptive then to hearing the truth. It also shows as the ‘learner’ comes to ask questions, and understand the truth, that facts matter, and it’s OK to change one’s mind — and that there are other people who become aware, and it isn’t so weird to think like as the listener might have thought. It’s not just on radio that this sort of thing — this ‘expository device’, or theater — can be done.
If you have two friends one can be sitting at another table and overhear, and, as a casual acquaintance, get involved with exploring the issue — or chime in to reinforce the real story. Drop the names of a few good sources for real news along the way, of course.
Yes — sneaky and contrived and deceptive and maybe a few other things that are not really desirable — but it can be very effective too, this sort of little play. With a bit of luck maybe several strangers can get involved in such a ‘teach-in’, and maybe a group discussion. With more people and some planning and work even more ambitious ‘performances’ and levels can be done.
In fact, I’ll bet this is already done by various political groups: it’s almost like a demonstration or protest, but very low key and without the signs and rioting.
You could even talk to your dog about politics while you are walking him and stop to sit on a bench — tell him you have to rehearse the talk you are giving later. The dog will listen attentively, of course, because you are talking to him. Maybe the person nearby will think you are a bit odd — but so what? Or you can talk into your turned-off cell phone and explain something to your aunt in Cleveland… Whatever…
When I was young if I heard someone in the city talking to themselves my instinct was to cross the street and walk on the other side, but now it’s everywhere, and people talk loudly too. You can put on a small headset and talk to yourself all day long and no one thinks twice about it. (What about a Dick Tracy wrist radio? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dt2wrr.jpg ) You can talk into a banana with a couple of buttons glued on and people will think it’s a cell phone or recorder (when you have delivered the message to the onlooker, eat the banana and go home).
Yes — it’s past my bedtime, and the elves are starting to break into my brain.
Talking into a cell phone (not in actual use) ?
Right. Just say stuff that someone overhearing should hear, like how it is Kiev — Poroshenko — who started up the latest fighting and moved prohibited heavy weapons into the border area. Whatever meme or information you want to spread, as if you were talking to someone on the phone. You can’t just go up to someone in a line, out of the blue, and tell them that it was Obama, Clinton, and Nuland who controlled the coup and put the Yats and nazis in charge of Kiev, but you tell that to the fictional ‘someone’ you are talking to on the phone, and let people around you ‘accidentally’ eavesdrop.
Brilliant idea!! I can’t do it though, since there are no people here, except my wife and me, and we more or less agree on most subjects.

Generally agree with your idea, in the sense that the net is my only option nowadays. Having an ill family member, my only walk outside is with my dog. In that case I met with people I know, but political discussions are largely excluded. The large majority are listening or watching the MSM media and are preoccupied with their daily habitues.
I like to drop little gems for store clerks and waiters, bus drivers etc- just about anyone. As I refuse to be ‘scanned’ at the airport, I have to get physical pat-downs. While I am held captive, the agent is my captive audience as I explain why I distrust the gov’t statement that scanning is safe. I quickly move to long list of gov lies. As I fly often many a passenger (and those in ear shot), has heard a least one comment from me. I am polite about it all. I offer a bit of bait, if they don’t bite I back off. But at least I planted a seed. Occasionally I get a big fish and we talk the whole plane ride.
My game is to be really friendly and funny so they generally feel good about the whole exchange, and there is a good lasting impression. My favorite topic these days is fake news. A guy was watching the tv on his tablet and I leaned over to him and said “Don’t watch too much of that. They are putting ideas into your head.” He looked at me incredulously, as I proceeded to wax on about.. well you all know the story.
k
Me too. One of the store I go used to have a clerk who was friendly with me and I could go on and rant a bit, so other customers would hear it.
I got it down to about 30 seconds to explain fiat money and how with so much unemployment and under-utilization the government could create a huge amount of money to bail out the people too and not push up inflation at all, while the economy would grow and become stronger. And maybe even throw in a little MMT sector analysis on a good day. The most important thing is for people to hear this at least once — then the next time they hear this stuff it won’t sound so much like it’s said in medieval Hungarian.
People used to discuss politics, barbershops, street corners, taverns, cafes, over the back fence — discuss for real, and not just rant talking points. But I guess that was back when most people had had decent civics and history classes and there were real newspapers, and they knew something about it. In fact, they a lot of things, and could fix their cars in the driveway, cook actual, everyday, food from scratch (it’s getting harder to even find real, plain, ingredients to buy now), and how to repair or remodel their own houses was commonplace, and neighbors always helped each other out. I guess that was a long time ago — it seems like just old people still do that. We need to bring those times back again, and get back in touch with reality.
Yeah — you’re right — plant a seed!

Steve Bannon: interesting comment by Kris Alman on the subject:
Speaking of generations…
In 2010, Steve Bannon directed and wrote this film: Generation Zero
http://generationzeromovie.com/trailers.html
You can watch the full length movie here:
http://www.snagfilms.com/films/title/generation_zero
In this fear-mongering film, conservatives like Gingrich put a spin on the power of the “elite” destroying the middle class in a revisionist approach (although they are quick to point out that both parties are captured by global corporations). The future: austerity, deregulation and 20 years of chaos (with probable war) ahead of us.
The film revolves around the Strauss-Howe generational theory.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strauss%E2%80%93Howe_generational_theory
Steve Bannon, Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor to President Trump is a prominent proponent of the theory. As a documentary filmmaker Bannon discussed the details of Strauss-Howe generational theory in Generation Zero. According to historian David Kaiser, who was consulted for the film, Generation Zero “focused on the key aspect of their theory, the idea that every 80 years American history has been marked by a crisis, or ‘fourth turning’, that destroyed an old order and created a new one”. Kaiser said Bannon “is very familiar with Strauss and Howe’s theory of crisis, and has been thinking about how to use it to achieve particular goals for quite a while.” A February 2017 article from Business Insider titled: Steve Bannon’s obsession with a dark theory of history should be worrisome commented “Bannon seems to be trying to bring about the ‘Fourth Turning’.”
David Kaiser has distanced himself from Bannon’s extreme views.
http://time.com/4575780/stephen-bannon-fourth-turning/
When I was first exposed to Strauss and Howe I began thinking how their ideas explained the histories of other countries as well, and during our interview, I mentioned that crises in countries like France in the 1790s and Russia after 1917 had led to reigns of terror. Bannon included those remarks in the final cut of Generation Zero.
A second, more alarming, interaction did not show up in the film. Bannon had clearly thought a long time both about the domestic potential and the foreign policy implications of Strauss and Howe. More than once during our interview, he pointed out that each of the three preceding crises had involved a great war, and those conflicts had increased in scope from the American Revolution through the Civil War to the Second World War. He expected a new and even bigger war as part of the current crisis, and he did not seem at all fazed by the prospect.
I did not agree, and said so. But, knowing that the history of international conflict was my own specialty, he repeatedly pressed me to say we could expect a conflict at least as big as the Second World War in the near or medium term. I refused.
Apocalyptic rhetoric and apocalyptic thinking flourish during crisis periods. This represents perhaps the biggest danger of the Trump presidency, and one that will bear watching from all concerned citizens in the months and years ahead.
That’s why we should all be concerned about Bannon being added to the National Security Council. http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/29/politics/susan-rice-steve-bannon/index.html
Bannon’s Islamaphobia portends a ‘global war’ between ‘the Judeo-Christian west’ and ‘jihadist Islamic fascism.’

https://www.buzzfeed.com/lesterfeder/this-is-how-steve-bannon-sees-the-entire-world?utm_term=.hjrrRBYyjr#.tg9PowkDyP
Note: he is highly hostile to the 2008 bank bailout.
He also says not only should the architects have gone to jail, he suggests that they will.
This is interesting and may shed some light on the Presidential strategy so far. Bannon (who is clearly the power behind Trump) claims to be a Leninist:
‘ “Lenin,” he answered, “wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.”
Bannon was employing Lenin’s strategy for Tea Party populist goals. He included in that group the Republican and Democratic Parties, as well as the traditional conservative press.’

that is a “Kent addition”. Off course it is, assuming that the participants in the comments section of this blog adhere to common decency (my fault obviously, sorry about that).

I do. Whatever it takes in the somewhat limited time I have left. Anywhere.
I do accept your basic values, and admire your stamina and intellect, and, with some hesitation I admit that your blog-rules are your rules, and the interpretation and enhancement/enforcement? is your privilege.
However, I do have this irritating sense of objecting to obviously unfair Übermench mentality expressed by some here, and quite a lot of other places on the internet, especially when obviously very capable dialectic schooled intellectuals try to, or actually impose their “superiority” over/on me, or especially when they do it to individuals who do not have the knowledge/experience to fight back. I can, and I do on occasions for very simple reasons.

That being said. I would not hesitate for a fraction of a second, to react very violently if need be, to protect myself or others.

Yeah, I don’t like that either, and it violates the moderation rule #2, it not in letter, than in spirit. I ask you to be patient with that, it is impossible to achieve perfection and to make everybody happy. And, as I mentioned, the job of moderating is a nightmare where you never get praise, only complaints.
The next time somebody us condescending towards you or somebody else, please take a deep breath, flush your “mental toilet”, and don’t let that affect you. Also, ignoring nasty posts is a good tactic to avoid feeding the troll or escalating.
Finally, my own very personal rule of life is this: while I care A LOT about what people which I love think about me, I couldn’t care less what people that I don’t care about think about me. Their words, their problem. What is it to me?! :-)
That rule served me well, so far.

I’ve only looked at your first two links so far but accept that nukes were dropped on Japan–even though I cannot personally verify it. There is just too much documentation from too many diverse sources, (photographic, personal accounts, Geiger counter readings etc etc,) for me to entertain doubts.
What is beyond quibble is that Japan had already surrendered before the nukes were dropped–so there was no overriding reason for their use at that time and the reasons and apologia given, to shorten the war and prevent further deaths, were spurious.
Historians now are accepting this and accepting also that the real reasons had more to do with an exceptional and unlikely-to-be-repeated opportunity/excuse to test the weapons on real people and as a clear message to Stalin that the USA was not to be challenged as the new world hegemon.
It is also now accepted that Churchill, that inveterate war-monger, was planning to use the remnants of the German army to march on Russia at the time. Luckily, he was voted out of office by a people sick and tired of war before he could accomplish this.
I find Mr Mathis entertaining but every single thing he looks at leads back to CIA involvement in some form. I don’t find credible that their reach, though great, is so all-encompassing. I think he is either a tad obsessed or has discovered that this is great for click-bait and donations. (I am a very cynical old woman, life-lessons, experience and all that)

” Historians now are accepting this and accepting also that the real reasons had more to do with an exceptional and unlikely-to-be-repeated opportunity/excuse to test the weapons on real people and as a clear message to Stalin that the USA was not to be challenged as the new world hegemon. ”
Indeed, serious historians have no doubt whatsoever that the nuclear incineration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki cannot be explained on military/strategic grounds. But there is the persisting thesis that it was aimed at the Soviet Union as a warning to the leadership that the US was the uncontested hegemon as you mentioned. However, there are reliable accounts that the USSR knew well in advance what was going on in Los Alamos (Soviet spy networks reached the upper level of governments as well as the military both in Germany and allies, particularly in the UK, a partner in the Manhattan Project). It is well known that during the Potsdam meeting between Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin the former two had discussed the right approach to tell Stalin about the new terrible weapon but were surprised themselves when they noted that Stalin did not react at all about the news. He knew and he was not worried about it, perhaps he trusted Roosevelt as a principled man. However, when Truman took the mantle, Stalin knew the gloves were off and any trust gone. As a cautious man he would have taken the necessary precautions to protect the USSR apart from ordering top priority for the development of the atomic bomb. It is also well know that Russian scientists were at the leading edge of nuclear research and ready to transfer it to practical use if necessary.
Churchill’s Unthinkable Operation (attack on the USSR by the combined forces of the UK, US and a reformed German army) relied on the use of atomic bombs on 12 major Soviet cities but the necessary logistical support and distances made the operation impracticable, if not impossible, apart from the fact that the Red Army had shown to be unbeatable against the best, let alone against second rate armies. No wonder the UK’s General Staff dismissed the idea as folly!
Thanks for fleshing out my few bald observations with further interesting info. I have immense respect for the Red Army and what they accomplished in WW11. A portrait of Marshall Zhukov with all his well-earned decorations hangs in my hall. I had a good friend (long deceased) who was a Red Army soldier and her tales of that time and what they went through were eye-opening.

Astonishing, I just don’t get it
Flock the tree’s, the forest is what counts, (even the ones on Mars, that, even as they are very well documented, do not raise any serious debate or questions whatsoever)-
So where is the fricking limo?

Or, . Anywhere?

Sorry my friend, if my depictions worries you, and that you might not approve on some of them.
Most, if not all of them are made as “on the spot# comments to event’s, articles, videos for a number of years
I will be the first to admit that they are not all equally good (some of them are actually quite bad).
In context, though, they all had/have a mission I believe.
Out of respect for this community, I was here appr. one year, in order to learn a little about the participants and the general rules of engagements before I posted anything.
Actually the first post, as I remember was the gallery of The Saker Falcon Kathira http://telemarksporten.no/SakerFalcon01/
I like it here, and have had some really eye-opening moments, reading comments from quite a few people I do admire, and admittedly would not have met anywhere else.
That being said. As a long term internet warrior on many forums, I have developed a somewhat tough skin, and are quite used to a much harder/harsher environment than here.
However I do have a very strong objection to any form of lie/falsehoods/deception, unsubstantiated claims etc., and can sometimes react in a manner that very polite intellectuals are not accustomed too (even though that some of them actually in their own subtle way breaks a lot of rules in my book.).
Calling someone a liar is something I have never done anywhere on the internet. Yet, this seem to be accepted on some of the threads here.
And, for the Mod here.
“Kent, the MFC still has to follow the Saker rules of moderation as it clearly states at the top of each MFC. Mod”
I still don’t get it. Would you please be so kind as to send me a private e-mail with a somewhat more specific explanation.
Thank You

Deliberately I have not (yet) made any serious depiction of Trump. I will though, shortly, several in fact.
We have a temporary pause, if you will, where the Empire try their best (not bad actually) to adjust and reinforce. A year or less of valuable time. That’s all.

“A picture is worth a thousand words.”
“A symbol is worth a thousand pictures,”
“A sigil is worth a thousand symbols.”
Symbols for bombs and death, I see. And a destroyed, self-loathing creature that would take the rest of our souls into the sewer with her own, out of hatred and rage, if she could.
Trump’s soul will be tried, very soon. May it not be found wanting. The only possible way that it will not be found wanting, IMHO, is if humanity’s aggregate consciousness is not found wanting. It’s hard to see how he can not fail under present conditions, even if he were much better than I ever hoped he might be.
This is why all people of good will count, and will count even more if they realize that and don’t tire and fade away and hide, in the weeks and months to come.
Could this be a time any more exciting and horrifying?
This ugliness of face and eyes as mirror of a deadened soul should motivate its rejection and inspire the opposite: Beauty
Ode on a Grecian Urn John Keats
Thou still unravish’d bride of quietness,
Thou foster-child of silence and slow time,
Sylvan historian, who canst thus express
A flowery tale more sweetly than our rhyme:
What leaf-fring’d legend haunts about thy shape
Of deities or mortals, or of both,
In Tempe or the dales of Arcady?
What men or gods are these? What maidens loth?
What mad pursuit? What struggle to escape?
What pipes and timbrels? What wild ecstasy?
Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard
Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on;
Not to the sensual ear, but, more endear’d,
Pipe to the spirit ditties of no tone:
Fair youth, beneath the trees, thou canst not leave
Thy song, nor ever can those trees be bare;
Bold Lover, never, never canst thou kiss,
Though winning near the goal yet, do not grieve;
She cannot fade, though thou hast not thy bliss,
For ever wilt thou love, and she be fair!
Ah, happy, happy boughs! that cannot shed
Your leaves, nor ever bid the Spring adieu;
And, happy melodist, unwearied,
For ever piping songs for ever new;
More happy love! more happy, happy love!
For ever warm and still to be enjoy’d,
For ever panting, and for ever young;
All breathing human passion far above,
That leaves a heart high-sorrowful and cloy’d,
A burning forehead, and a parching tongue.
Who are these coming to the sacrifice?
To what green altar, O mysterious priest,
Lead’st thou that heifer lowing at the skies,
And all her silken flanks with garlands drest?
What little town by river or sea shore,
Or mountain-built with peaceful citadel,
Is emptied of this folk, this pious morn?
And, little town, thy streets for evermore
Will silent be; and not a soul to tell
Why thou art desolate, can e’er return.
O Attic shape! Fair attitude! with brede
Of marble men and maidens overwrought,
With forest branches and the trodden weed;
Thou, silent form, dost tease us out of thought
As doth eternity: Cold Pastoral!
When old age shall this generation waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe
Than ours, a friend to man, to whom thou say’st,
“Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.”
Hacks (the sophisticated ones) are not very easy to recognize (not mentioned that they exists and are very real)
The subtle ones are indeed very good (open source word press, like here).
Don’t worry though. To late.
Bye bye., and just walk on, like nothing happened (best option).
