With events in Donbass heating again (thanks to Insaine McCain and pals), this extremely interesting and informative piece explains some of the history behind the Crimea and
1/ why it was transferred to Ukraine in the 1950s,
2/ why the Bankers want it back.
http://www.fort-russ.com/2015/03/how-stalin-played-americans-with.html
I found it fascinating. Highly recommended .
More on Ukraine:

This Us-installed illegitimate govt is ready to implode, but not before creating a (further) bloody mess in Donbass and maybe Kiev. (Again).
Given Trumps twitter-power, and his comment today, in reply to an US journalist’s (no evidence) assertion that Putin is a killer, Trump replied: “you think we (US) is so innocent??”.
Why can’t Trump twitter that famous pic of McCain meeting with ISIS leaders in Syria- was that not treason? Or, why not twitter a pic of McCain on the Donbass contact line end 2016-Jan2017?
The sleeping sheeple of the US need to awaken to the nightmare being perpetrated around the world in their name, and “values?” And “interests” of the US, that extend, it seems, to every corner of the planet.
The majority of them don’t care to find out what they government is doing, and implicitly endorse their country’s actions.
Anon, It is very difficult for average Americans to get information as the media in all its forms, newspapers, magazines, television, radio, are all controlled by six major corporations with neo-colonial/neocon agendas to keep them uninformed in their quest for world domination. I’m sure
only a small percentage of the US population that have computers are aware of an ‘alternative media’. You have to delve into this rather than to simply imply that Americans don’t care. It’s not their fault that they are bombarded with BS pretty much constantly. The US government has been waging a
disinformation campaign against the population for a long time. People here are patriotic and in general tend to believe this BS until they see something different so they can connect the dots.
Are we done with the Trump hysteria now? Did any of you really think the neocon/lib’s were just going to pack up and leave without a fight? Did you think that Poroshenko was just going to ride off into the sunset after Merkel told him uncle sugar was cutting him off?
Sure, Trump hasn’t lived up to your impossibly high expectations. Yes, the events in Ukraine are horrible but it’s an entirely predictable pattern of behavior. Did you really expect it all to be better in two weeks?
So far Trump has lived up to my expectations — I’m not radioactive ash yet. That was the key expectation for which I voted for him. I suspect with Clinton it all may have been incinerated by now.
I had some hopes — wishful thinking — for more from Trump, but I did not expect it. Maybe we will still get some breakup of the deep state in changing from the old gang to the new one — but of course it won’t be major reform without some sort of amazing intervention from the muses.

There’s a bunch of anti-Trump stuff. Barton isn’t terrible in that there was also criticism of Obama and other past presidents, but this anti-Trump stuff annoys me because much of it is not legitimate, and if the Democrats get back in they do the same or worse and all the liberals will be drooling all over the president then.
One of the items is from Katrina vanden Heuvel, Washington Post, which is like a getting a missive from the devil. The hypocrisy is like getting hit with the painful wall of cold when you step outside without a jacket at 25 below degrees F. And this stuff is everywhere. It gets like Soros sneaking up behind you and smacking you with a baseball bat.
The hypocrisy is so bad I can’t find the energy to mount serious opposition against Trump because it would be siding with the demon Democrats and so-called progressives. At the same time I can’t side with the so-called conservatives and Republicans. The whole thing is chimps flinging feces all around and I can’t imagine getting involved with that — or anything good coming from it. A plague on both their houses. I suppose the oligarchs have set it up to be like this, but there it is, and not much else around now — not as long as the people persist in being so idiotic.
I got an email from a liberal activist (mostly Democrat) two days ago — reprint of Robert Reich harping on impeachment
——
“Just before becoming president, Trump told the American public that he’d placed his business holdings in a trust — in order allay fears that he might exploit the Oval Office for personal gain.
It turns out his “trust” is a sham and a ruse — and those fears continue to be justified.
According to documents made public today through a Freedom of Information Act request by ProPublica:
1. Trump receives reports on the profits or losses of his businesses.
2. He can revoke the authority of his son and the business’s CFO (who oversee his assets in the business) at any time – meaning that, as a practical matter, Trump retains day-to-day authority.
3. The stated purpose of the so-called Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust is to hold assets for the “exclusive benefit” of the president. The trust even remains under Mr. Trump’s Social Security number.
Trump is ripping us off, folks. At this very moment, foreign governments and their diplomats are booking suites at the Trump International Hotel in Washington in order to curry favor with him. He gets 67 percent of the profits. This is a clear violation of Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution – grounds for impeachment.
What do you think?
”
—–
Well, I wrote back to guy who sent me the email, and I’m afraid it wasn’t very polite. It started out with
“I think people should read the constitution. Article 1 specifically refers to congress, not the president, and article 2 covering the president says in that emollient clause that the ones from the government — i.e., salary — shall not be increased during his term of office (can’t raise his own salary). Just read the damned thing and stop making up s**t about it — it’s clear as a bell.”
(Without the asterisks — and should have been emolument).
And then went on to criticize all the lies being told about Trump, and hypocrisy, and how is Pence better, and all — you know…
Rock & hard place; devil and sea… it’s not just emotionally draining but intellectually draining too, trying to keep up with crap and sorting it all out, and composing a reasonable response — as if reason had any value with the lunatics. It’s like I have a bicycle and am in the middle of miles of two foot deep mud, and I think I should try to go somewhere, and I know it’s ridiculous to think that. And it’s still raining.
So he’s going to drain the swamp, huh?
Fact is that Trump is not Putin and Russia is not USA. It’s a fact also that Russia had a communist/socialist past which the US had not, therefore the left (real left) ideas are not there in the US. Which is interpreted as left is the Democratic party and we know their recent history. The Us people wanted a change : they voted for Trump, they have him now. But, it seems that they want somebody like Putin (if I were sarcastic, maybe Stalin), or a Heavenly angel perhaps ? It is not hard at all to imagine how terrible job has Trump assumed, knowing the immense back clash he has to face on all fronts. Not being a “foot soldier” of any party, he has been and is considered by many – both republicans and democrats – as an outsider, an amateur, an alien. I can believe he wants to do good for america and the world, at the age of 70, when he got everything in life, having more than needed, he had the will to be the president. Nobody did that in american history at that age. So, I assume he wants to do good. It may be, that he will make mistakes which will by amplified by the media and encouraged by his opponents. Not forget that the american people were the first on which the mass- brainwashing have been experienced and applied on large scale. This, has later been applied in Europe and then…globally. The chaos is a very good tool in the hands of some to implement their global agenda. Trump knows all this and to clean “the swamp” is a job where he needs to have real partners not just in his home but abroad, like Putin.
Unless people do not understand the heaviness of this fight, they will succumb to their weakness.
I don’t know what Trump knows or wants, but the liberals are garbage now.
I had long ago subscribed to a number of lists from organizations for progressive and activist things. I just unsubscribed from another one — RootsAction, when they sent me something to impeach Trump. First, you can’t impeach a president just because you don’t agree with his politics — not legally: it’s for high crimes and misdemeanors. Second, where are all the cries to impeach McCain and the other war mongers who have committed crimes, including sometimes war crimes, and treason? These so-called liberals and progressives like a lynch mob. And a lot of them will gladly bomb some other country to dust, and engage in as many and as outrageous lies as the right wing Republicans to do it (and then steal their resources). They are no better then Trump and the right wing they castigate.
It keeps turning out that as cynical as I was, I was never cynical enough. Lynch mobs are about as ugly as one can find.
For a Friend
I understand you, my dear blue
And I wish I new more
Deep, inside the core,
Following the logic, and the clue.
What about to have a little break,
If all this stuff is too much to take.
I’ll let my muses follow their mate,
Eating the ice mixed with cake.
The wells will froze by bitter cold,
While I am getting slowly too old,
The winter is in my body,
The spring is in my soul,
And I’m thinking loudly,
That the world is fool.
Who can understand it, is wise,
Eligible for the Nobel Prize.
this poem hits it
Thanks. :-)
Ioan, I had lost all of my hopes, but you did it, someone spoke on a political subject
out of my heart
Maybe here’s a guy you could hook up with Blue – especially from the pov of educating people:

Beats talking to thin air in the hopes of putative listeners becoming ‘enlightened’ no?
Hey! That’s one of them fake news sites you sent me to.
Looks pretty good. And with a fake news endorsement it looks even better.
I subscribed via email so it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.
In practical terms, though, the problem is that the more I learn and understand, the more I see how terrible things are, and the worse I feel. :-\
Maybe it’s something like doctors in a war zone where they can’t get even basic supplies and drugs. I ahve to hand to people who can work in such frustrating and discouraging circumstances.
‘……. the problem is that the more I learn and understand, the more I see how terrible things are, and the worse I feel. :-\’
That’s generally how it is for all of us. You’re allowed time off though, R & R, concentrating on your cats, space to sit under a tree and enjoy the real world for a while. Just a timely reminder–you know this stuff already.
I just took a break for 1/2 hour — balanced my checkbook and paid the electric and phone bills. :-D
Hey — it’s better than politics…
If I still feel a bit disgusted later I’ll clean the real-world litter pan. (and It makes the cats happier, bless their fuzzy little souls).
Taking a break is hard because it’s almost impossible to catch up again with what is going on (even to keep with it all, as is, is not possible), and that makes it difficult to engage in discussions or analysis. There is a great fear I could end up like some of my neighbors who have not yet heard that Russia is no longer USSR and isn’t communist (mostly) now — and think they all just sit around in Siberian gulags, drinking vodka, and singing The Vulgar Boatman.
Humans here are annoying. Cats are better. One of them them who was sitting next to me while doing the bills came over just now to sit near me I’m while on the computer. Some cats are lap tops — this one is a desk top and likes just sitting nearby. They are masters at R & R.
Hey Blue! Y ou’re not allowed to be cynical – you’re American! ‘Ennui’ is for the French (TM) ;-)
Anyways, I thought this guy offered a chunk of light in the chaotic darkness – ‘it’s neoliberalism, stupid’.
So it is – or whatever the ‘ism-de-jour’ the Monsters of the Universe use to rationalize their insatiable lusts/avarice at the expense of humanity.
At least this guy is on the right track, and who knows? Maybe connecting IRL with just a few ‘comrades’ might rejuvenate your appetite for change.
Bon chance!

What do you think?
I think you’re trying to make something out of nothing. He is already taking no salary for being president. Do you want him to give everything away and go on welfare ? Or sell everything and be ruined by taxes on it ?
I sense, after winning the nomination, the election and then the inauguration, the conundrum Donald J.T. has
to winn another fourth party: the state. Having been build since 1945.
Interesting: his “don’t talk ‘Trump’, talk your own stuff to his picks. Will he be a kind of Augustus?
No one has a responsability for his projections – but to become responsible for them
I am just curious to know, did the RF retrieve the 2 planes it lost off the side of the Admiral Kuznetsov?
Someone here is likely to know.
It’s a muddled time. I have no idea what Lady Gaga dropping from the roof of NRG Stadium was supposed to mean.
Best guess: “You go, girl!” Message to Killary from Gaga’s illumi-naughty owners? “Fly, you’re a Goddess now!” ?? on the bet that the first woman president would be in office for the 51st Stupor Bowl???
Ooops! Truth would have her go splat like Icarus on the 50 yard line.
Maybe there wasn’t time to change the choreography. And some AZ Empire cultural warfare general/entertainment mogul whispered in her ear: “We got the Donald. Smile, Angel.”
I don’t know. I was just expecting a Swiss tunnel sort of ritual with that same goat showing up somewhere.
In the last Cafe I was breathlessly awaiting Prometeus’ redirect with Zeus’s lawyer/astrologer. But Prometeus either had a very busy weekend or was intimidated. I don’t know which.
Evidently Zeus hails from Suez from before the Giza pyramids were built, or so the rumor goes.
In the last Cafe I went into a Greek meditation with Keats:

I don’t want to disrespect the gods but their “immortality” in myth was only relative to our pathetically short life spans, IMHO.
It’s like this solar system vs the Universe. It’s mortal!
Several billion years is forever to us, but a fleeting moment to the Universe. So, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Neptune etc may be cool and influential in our neighborhood, but “gods”??? When there is little doubt there are billions of other planetary systems around other stars?
I do think the monotheistic idea is an advancement over these planet “gods”.
But I am not as hostile to the past ways of astro-theology (and not at all to esoteric Christianity) as Martin from Soviet east Berlin was. It’s natural and understandable that much of it (“Desert Sky Astrotheology”) carried over into the religion that Paul began.
I mean, I love my neighborhood, but I appreciate it even more after a long travel adventure situates it in a wider setting:
https://youtu.be/0fKBhvDjuy0
And then you realize there is infinitely more that cannot be seen.
Some churches will condemn and forbid astrology like Zeus condemns Prometheus. Must all systems exclude each other?
When does it get too confused and chaotic, and when is it too simplistic? I wish it were safe to discuss all of it without fear and bruised egos.
Was it not Aeschylus’s purpose to transcend a local mountain??? And its residents with title to the best view lots???
Hello Bro 93,
I’m in “standby” modus now.
I will come back for interaction, as soon as the circumstances allow me so.
Nice to read your posts anyway!
In the last Cafe I was breathlessly awaiting Prometeus’ redirect with Zeus’s lawyer/astrologer.
Damn’ Bro 93,
I don’t get the meaning of your statement. Sorry!
Can you help me get it?
Yes, Prometeus, but it’s likely to take a while. Patience.
I am not able to be here every day.
Same with you, apparently?
Like I have said many times, if I don’t answer a serious direct question it’s doubtless because I missed a comment by being away, so just link it in a way that might have some wider interest when you see I’m around, and I’ll catch up as best I can.
Looks like tomorrow I’ll have less time than today, so I move on to a few other comments before sleep.
Bro:
“Several billion years is forever to us, but a fleeting moment to the Universe. So, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Neptune etc may be cool and influential in our neighborhood, but “gods”??? When there is little doubt there are billions of other planetary systems around other stars?”
We know nothing of the Gods, we only know man’s images of God.
When I’m speaking of “Gods” in the psycho/astrological context I speak
about something one can also call archetypes,or original laws aso,
which are seemingly the arranger of synchronicities, and they are, so Jung,
not to distinguish from the Selbst working in and around us.
And Bro, how many planetary systems might exist in incountable numbers,
the all adhere to the same natural laws aka “Gods”.
@mundanomaniac :
Since we re veering into gnosticism, from
https://theunhivedmind.com/UHM/corruption-of-the-demiurge/
which is the only coherent, factually-based and convincing explanation I have ever encountered of how it could be that, on one hand, God controls everything in his creation, yet Christ in St. John is come to rescue us from “the god of this world” (Satan, who rules it).
What the Greeks and Gnostics called the “Demiurge” is a universal intelligence that fashions our world.
It is said that the Demiurge converts abstract metaphysical archetypes (higher thoughts/ideas) into physically manifest forms, akin to your browser turning source code into a displayed web page. Just as a browser obediently displays what it’s given, the Demiurge projects, shapes, and perpetuates physicality in accordance with the archetypal thoughts fed into it by the Creator.
Archetypes are the building blocks of meaning, the fundamental alphabet of existence, the abstract thoughts of the divine, of which all things are but particular expressions.
Why is the concept of Demiurge even necessary? Well, we know from the “reality creation” phenomenon that our own minds can shape reality by directly altering the probability of events.
Due to the dependence of reality on mind, it would seem that reality is being projected by our minds. And yet, reality continues to exist even in our absence. When we stop paying attention to something physical, it does not wink out of existence. Obviously there must be something other than our own consciousness at work, something that is always there, that functions as the default generator and perpetuator of physicality. This would be the Demiurge.
Why not attribute this function to the Infinite Creator and dispense with the extra concept of Demiurge? Because as you will see, the characteristics of the Demiurge indicate more of a blind artificial intelligence than an infinite sentient being.
Therefore its function is uncharacteristic of the Creator and unique unto itself.
I most highly recommend the entire (lengthy) article to anyone interested in how the ancients understood the universe to be organized.
I am in Astrology to avoid all these infinite reflections.
‘God made ‘ – to me – the universe according to his
12 children mirroring the elements. see Psalm 82.
We are gods.
This might be childish, but I work with it
since 35 years and it made me poor and happy.
Thanks. Have bookmarked this for a detailed read. The whole website looks interesting. Love the community here in Sakers cafe. Lots of intelligent people sharing quality informative world view. I find this space a respite of sanity in a world of crazy lies, distraction and evil.
Woman in the cafe photograph above:
Ye Gods, who does he think he’s kidding?
Good answer, Mundo.
This brings up the Trivium’s first element “Rhetoric”.
Which I understand to mean clarity regarding the words being used. Without some clarification there’s little chance of two people ever being “on the same page” and every likelihood that they are far from even discussing the same subject.
Our vocabulary is quite different.but it shows possibilities getting more comprehensible, I think.
Correction: The first element of the Trivium is “Grammar” …what words, sounds, symbols etc you are using to communicate.
# 2 is Logic…the framework or structure of your argument.
# 3 is Rhetoric The way you put it all together and finish it off for presentation to others.
Anyone notice that most of the problems occur “right out of the gate”??? With “Grammar”!!!!
Mundo and I and Prometeus, for example are very, very lucky if 1/4 of our respective “Grammars” words, vocabularies, etc mesh in any meaningful way. It takes patience, perserverance, toleration, thick skin, etc,etc to work towards 50%. 75%???? Dream on!
Example: Plato’s Dialogues.
Socrates engages the youth of the leaders of Athens in long talks on important topics like Justice, Love, Truth etc. After arguing all day and night and examining each topic from every single angle, and demolishing most of the Grammar and Logic all participants bring to the table (including some of his own….) he walks away saying, “It looks like we don’t know, do we??”
What the youth do know, however is that their fathers are full of shit, and that they have been as well. Some are befuddled, some are very angry, a few are really excited and ready to come back for more, at the first opportunity. A dangerous but highly satisfying occupation Socrates was involved in.
Bro 93, reg. Trivium & Quadrivium – maybe you already know these web sites. But it’s always useful to refresh the memory, at least for me… ;)

Interesting article indeed but somewhat disconnected and confusing, in fact it deserves a better treatment.
However, what caught my eye immediately was the caption to the photo of Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin stating that the Yalta Conference took place at “Stalin’s summer residence”. That is wrong and follows traditional msm depictions of anything related to Stalin, in this case that the Livadia Palace at Yalta was his summer residence as if Stalin was the heir to the last tsar, living in palaces around Russia according to the seasons!
Stalin was a simple man of the people and he would not dream of living in the luxury of imperial palaces built by the people for their oppressors. After the Russian Revolution, the Livadia became a health resort for the workers and peasants of Russia except when the Nazis invaded and destroyed most of the buildings. Following restoration after the war, the Livadia resumed its function as a health resort for the people.
Stalin did not own any property and his apartment at the kremlin was the former residence of the last tsar’s servants: a two-bedroom flat so small that one of his sons slept in a sofa in the sitting-cum-dining room and where he hosted a dinner to Churchill, who was appalled at the humble dwelling of the leader of the greatest country on earth.
The above post is a reply to White Whale’s comment and link about Crimea.
Hi thanks.
I am still learning – happy to read anything you would recommend as a better treatment.
Thanks for comment on the photo caption. Correcting these “facts” is almost impossible.
What irritates me the most is reading on Sputnik, and even RT, where RF has “annexed” Crimea.
I think – no, you guys can take the effort to use terms like “rejoined”.
If I were writing such articles I would always insert that Crimea has been Russian for about the same amount of time the USA has existed as a nation. Historical Perspective is important.
Hey, Moby Dick, I had to join in synchronistically on the Yalta/Stalin thread, because my wife told an interesting Russian joke yesterday afternoon, that fits right in:
“One sunny morning in Yalta, exactly 72 years ago, Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin met for breakfast. All were refreshed and rested, and in a great mood, and they asked each other how they slept.
Roosevelt was the first to answer: “I slept like a baby! In fact, I slept so well that I enjoyed the best dream of my life!”
“Really!”, exclaimed Winston, “Tell us about your dream, Franklin, because I also had a most splendid one!”
“Well”, said FDR, “I dreamed that we win this war and the American Century begins!”
“Is that so?”, said Winston. “Nice dream, but mine was even better! I dreamed that during my life the British Empire will be restored to all of its glory, and we shall retain all of our present colonies and even regain all of our colonies lost!”
“Interesting dreams!, remarked Josef Stalin. “I also had a most wonderful and vivid one!: I dreamed that I was able to prevent either one of your dreams from coming true.”
Ha, ha, good one ! greetings and thanks to your wife !
Cheers,
Thanks

@mundanomaniac
The poem of Goethe, “Prometheus”, which Larouche cites, was written in his 25th year, in his period called “Sturm und Drang” It was part of a fragmant of the young genius about this Titan-son.
I can only say, with 25 a man knows nothing. High time for the intellect … the reckless companion.
The philosopher in man, according to my experience, doesn’t start to become mature much
before the late thirties: the “Lebenswende” (Jung).
The soul in man (male and female) is a late blossom and a later fruit created by the voice in man
telling him the secrets of the unconscious nature.
Again, this is wise what you say!
But honestly, there is a certain “twist” to what you’re saying here. Sometimes, in a young age, a gifted person who is introduced in certain circles speaks more about hermetic secrets than he’s allowed to. Later on, when this person learns the dangers of speaking the truth, he rolls back…
You mentioned Jung for example: perfect!
Do you know Jung’s septem sermones ad mortuos?
If not, have fun reading it!
It is very interesting, what he is writing there. Later, he was saying, that this peace was his “Jugendsünde”.
Ho, ho: why “Jugendsünde”?
Told too much? Revealed to many Gnostic secrets there, our dear brother Jung?
Gnostic secrets, ha
don’t preach, do

But wait: Ophiuchus!
“a gifted person who is introduced in certain circles”
I don’t share this projection, to me the Premetheus-Poem of
Goethe is a futher example of Jugendsünde

Talks-to-Cats, gnostics are repeatedly eating from the Tree of knowledge of good & evil. And yet they are failing to reach the Truth.
They are deceived, as they are going on the path of the oldest false religion in human history – Disobedience to God…
Peace.
Consider it possible, friend, that if you would read the beginning of that link, you would understand why you have come to assume that as (to you) self-evident truth.
And (harder yet) possible that if you even got as far as the passage I quoted, you could see that the Gospel of John (universally known as the “mystical” one of the four) was referencing an understanding of Creation that has been systematically erased.
And (hardest of all) possible to understand that the apparent “contradiction” of this to the omnipotence of God is only due to not knowing this.
I prefer to not have to deny the eternal validity of any part of the Bible in order to “understand” the part of it I accept. That would entail my setting myself up (or my group up) as sitting in judgement of it when, in fact, the case is obviously the reverse.
The whole idea reminds me of a hadith of Mohammed : “Which one of your Lord’s blessings will you deny ?”
TtC, you caught me ;) I have not read the link, but have it put aside for latter “discernment exercise” and/or learning.
Gnosticism & Kabbalah are intertwined, and to define both is a tricky business. While excercising my own discernment, I always try to remember this: each lie is a parasite on a torso of the Truth
If I have any comments after reading your link, I would address it at some future Cafe…

Project Humanity
Project Humanity was started by the almighty One.
Not by “Demigods”. Who claim, that they are our gods and that they created us.
We’re approaching very fast the times, where “revelations” will be made about our origins. These so called revelations are for decades on the internet, so I mean the coming “official” revelations of MSM.
The big lie goes like; “they” created us – the Homo sapiens – out of apes with “their” highly evolved DNA…
Ohhh, we should be sooo thankful to them. Especially, when “they” return to earth, to be worshipped once again, by their little pets: us.
But of course you will find the truth in the opposite direction:
They have corrupted our DNA, which made us once – in the Lemurian times – very mighty and powerful. They corrupted us, to be able to control us.

It is the white & black chequered floor of the Masons!
It is the “pseudo-battle” of Enki vs his brother Enlil. It’s their game, where we are the toys.
It’s their way to punish us with their “black team”, so that we would welcome their “white team”.
We don’t need them!
We had everything, before they arrived here.
We were innocent, truthful and curious. We accepted to make a collective experience.
Do you still want to be a slave of Enlil?
Do you still want to be a pet of Enki?
Your standby is a lot more active than mine.
I remember the “Elites” article fairly well, but passing over it in 5 seconds and linking it with other things so casually doesn’t seem as productive as breaking down some parts that interest you or disturb you might.I have a sense our filters are vastly diffrent,as is what we glean from using them.
Do you have nightmares?.
Aristotle is full of definitions and classifications that control the mind and kill creativity. Plato is quite different. Examples abound. This I would give as the briefest hint of a direction that might go somewhere more worthwhile.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/symbolic-seduction-womens-rights-partisan-politics-ethnocentrism-and-american-narcissism/5572545
“The press had been notified in advance and dutifully photographed and reported the story. The New York Times headline for April Fool’s Day 1929 was entitled “Group of Girls Puff at Cigarettes as a Gesture of Freedom.”
This fake news story made cigarettes socially acceptable for women, and sales and advertising to them increased dramatically.
The institutional power structures smiled and continued on their merry way. Women were no freer or more powerful, but they felt they were.
A symbolic taboo was breached as women were bamboozled. Image triumphed over reality.”
That was in 1929. Let’s jump ahead a few years.
“Hands off my pussy.” “My pussy bites back.” These are funny repartees to Trump’s comments, but they are totally ineffectual and harmless. Trump’s objectives are larger, as were Obama’s and Clinton’s. Symbolic protests attract attention, but result in the stasis of structural power arrangements, or worse. Edward Bernays’ “torches of freedom” campaign resulted in more women smoking, more disease, and more profits for the tobacco companies. He preyed on the gullible. What was learned?
The Pussyhat Project resulted in a sea of pink adorned women and made for colorful images. Images, Daniel Boorstin wrote in his prescient 1960 book, The Image , were the future. That future is now. The language of images is everywhere, and it is tied to what Boorstin termed “pseudo-events” and our “demand for the illusions with which we deceive ourselves.”
Symbolically wearing your genitals on your head is surely an arresting image, but it is misplaced and duplicitous when one has not opposed the systematic brutality of the American empire’s ravaging around the world under Obama and Clinton.
Boorstin argued that this world of images would displace our ability to think clearly and understand the ways we were being manipulated. An image, he said, was “synthetic, believable, passive, vivid, simplified, and ambiguous.” Contrived and appealing to the senses – there are no pink pussycats as far as I know – they side-step thought and cannot, strictly speaking, be unmasked. “An image, like any other pseudo-event, becomes all the more interesting with our every effort to debunk it.” The contrivance of the image and our knowledge of its ingenuity – e.g. pussyhats – convince us that we are smart to be taken in, even when we’re not. It’s interesting to note that the word image (Latin, imago) is related to the word imitate (Latin, imatari). It’s as though certain images can serve as mirrors (“to mirror” being cognate with “to imitate”) in which we can see and mimic ourselves, “though we like to pretend we are seeing someone else.” And seeing our images in the images, we can imitate ourselves in an endless cycle of self-love and navel gazing. Selfie culture has triumphed. The society of the spectacle marches on.
The focus on genital imagery is a reflection of American narcissism, an inward gazing, while out “there,” others are being slaughtered by our masters of war. This is the start of a pink color revolution.
Edward Bernays would be proud.”
In essence, the role of mass media.
For any who’ve never watched, here is the link to “The Century of the Self.” Everyone should watch the whole thing even if it must be watched using the shorter segments.

I previewed the link. Fascinating watching. Bookmarked.
Yes, people should search on Adam Curtis films and videos, and also check out http://metanoia-films.org/films/ Good stuff!
Thanks GrandmaR,
Some good watching to cover time when I am stuck in a seat for a while.
Extremely fundamental and important topic.
Why? Because shrinking the self to the degree that it loses all connection to the greater Self beyond the mortal pleasures and pains of the individual is the necessary precondition for an Empire run by Satanic Elites. That’s what empowers them, let’s them get away with it.
SO , they promulgate solipsism for the “little me” slaves. Who absolutely LOVE the excuse it gives them to do absolutely nothing about evil running amok in the world.

“Well, I prefer not to see it that way,”
“No. ma’am. You prefer not to SEE.”
So a bit of good news for America (I think), coming from foreign policy.
In another thread, I linked to an article from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website. It was an interview following up on the visit of the German delegation to Washington. (German FM Gabriel met with both SOS Tillerson and VP Pence).
From the interview: “Some 700,000 jobs in the US rely directly on German investment, and people in those jobs earn 25% more than the average for comparable professions and enjoy higher levels of trade union organisation. There are some very good arguments to show the German investment makes a significant contribution, not least with respect to the President’s plan to reindustrialise the country.”
Now that sounds promising! OK, I also posted about the hazards of German industrialists elsewhere on the site, but that was in Germany, in the head office type positions, where expectations, combined with cultural tendencies/pressures, can be ridiculously high. For reindustrialising, the Germans might be the very best partners! #MAGA :-) (And what about Canada, I wonder?? :-)
Here is a very beautiful tribute to President Putin, whom I call :
The King of the North-Putin the Great.
Personally, I believe with all my heart Russia is The Hope of the World.
May God grant Putin a long and healthy life. I feel blessed to have lived while he, Putin, was alive. My wish is to one day see him, though not likely, even if from far.
Enjoy the beautiful Russian music too!

While listening to Jim Willie last night, one of my favorite alt-site
economists, Jim slipped in a plug for Cliff High who is a linguistic
prognosticator with a fast growing Internet presence.
Later, listening to Cliff deliver his insights on developing social dynamics,
he suddenly launched in to a vortex driven, global cooling future for our planet.
Since early 1984-to-present, the planet has gotten a little bit warmer every
month over the month preceding. Arctic sea ice is melting, chemtrails
are proliferating in vain effort to block solar radiation with metal aerosol
nanoparticles, and green house gases (CO2, methane, water, etc.) are
rising, trapping even more heat in the atmosphere.
Do we find any prospect of global cooling anywhere?!
One way to determine whether your favorite alt-sites are run by tried and true
people, or compromised, even a little, by the Perverts In Power (PIPS), may well
turn on their treatment of global warming.
Whatever you do , don’t apply the methods of science ; you may find yourself discovering reality. Scary!!! Quick ! Run for your safe space.
Good grief.
You can call it anything that you want ; stable ; cooling ; possibly even warming if you take a very small segment. It is what it is ; the planet we live on.
http://jonova.s3.amazonaws.com/graphs/lappi/gisp-last-10000-new.png
farmerbraun, my sense is that there is an MSM, NWO deception within Alt-Media that has convinced many that temperature should never get any warmer and can’t possibly ever cool off because the powers that be are out to cook us.
Climate change??? Yes! Always has, always will.
And everything pushed by the British monarchy is suspect. Everything. By blind luck they will be right on this, while they are evil on everything else?? Uh huh. Sure.
Thanks for the Passio link. I don’t feel so bad about coming down so hard on what PHIL wrote now , but I wanted to say “wake up”. The truth is out there just waiting to be perceived, but I do get a little upset by people promulgating the lies.
The new landscape is the zionists using the white patriots to shut down the truth movement that exposed the false flag event that brought the US to war against israels enemies that recognize palestine.
They were exposed but they arent going to prosecute themselves. Now they have to bury the story of their conspiracy. And thats where the whites who were so thoroughly defeated in the PC culture war come in, they have accepted their defeat by the zionist and will now work for them in order to get back some power.
These white patriots will use every method to drop the involvement of their own government and the zionists mossad in 9/11 down the memory hole of history.

it is statements like this from Trump which shake the zeitgeist. He is here to unknowingly
play a very important part in the survival of the human race. So much, much more will be revealed as former categories and ways of thinking and doing things shift.
He is exactly the flawed instrument to do it for the meantime until others appear.–Who needs Hollywood to make movies/world culture? And who needs the corporate media which generates fake “news”? U. of Cal, Berkeley, the betrayer of the liberal values of free speech, turns out graduates in high numbers whose very expensive degrees are useless and most likely doom them to a life of perpetual debt. So what kind of Universities do we need? The medical field uses outdated technologies with high false readings ( mammography for breast cancer-33%) so who needs MDs who have never been taught, “First, do no harm”? What new kinds of healing modalities do we need ? And what of the old do we keep?
And do not forget the the most important questions: by whom and for whom and for what purpose?
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2017/02/05/think-country-innocent/
O’Reilly just makes stuff up and is a despicable neocon propagandist and bully. But Trump is not inclined to be bullied and can handle himself with clowns like O’R.
There are two ways to counter the accusation. One is to refute that Putin is a killer and point out there is no evidence for it, and it’s counter to Putin’s personality and practice. The problem is that one can get into a ‘fact fight’ of contradictions which can go nowhere since O’R doesn’t care about facts, which can plant the accusation without resolution, so those who want to thing Putin is bad can do so.
The other is counterattack, which Trump likes to do, and does need to get tied up arguing about evidence or facts, or tyring to prove a negative, but makes such accusations dangerous because it brings out things which the O’Rs of the world want to keep hidden. You can’t prove Putin doesn’t kill (only there is no evidence for it), but you can prove the US does, so counterattack is probably the stronger position within limited time where the opponent has control of the show.
It’s too bad Trump didn’t do both by saying ‘It isn’t Putin who is the killer but Americans like Obama and Clinton who have killed tens of thousands’. But Trump could have done worse (many who have gone on the show have done much worse), and he did not agree that Putin is a killer, sidestepping the accusation.
I have to leave a tip and go. Full work day.
Would love to follow up with farmerbraun, Mundo and Prometeus. Maybe Wednesday.
The guy with the pony tail (Passio) is an absolute kick. That’s where the 93 in my handle came from. The driest of dry senses of humor. Like I said, I went through all 196 of his podcasts in order in 2016 because of the electric effect of his decoding of the occult ritualistic aspects of 911, and flight 93.
I owe kinterra a full explanation of what I see as the significance. Short version: Know thy Enemy!
Any group of people who ritualistically burn Care, Love, Compassion, Courage (93…the force of will to ascend from base consciousness (9) to Trinitarian higher consciousness (3) are the sickest beings imaginable. And are consciously, self-loathingly aware of how sick they are. But they can do nothing about it other than what they are doing. They are slaves. . All the way to the top.
This was clear as a bell to me in a flash, in early 2016 when Passio broke it down here:
https://youtu.be/SK9xu8tOLpA
and a year later I realize it will take quite a bit more time for almost every one else that hears the analysis. They are not going to quickly snap awake, most probably in a nano second when they get to the math………………. Flight 11 + Flight 175 = 186 divided by 2 = 93 everywhere in Manhattan, burned, destroyed . It will be a slower process to grasp the deeper implications.
Prometeus, I recommend we give Lyndon a rest for a week or so, and come back to him later. Much more on Prometheus, much to Mundo’s irritation, but I think he’ll survive it.
Passio IMHO needs a little help on Hamilton and music, but the little guy can really, really think. So can the old man. And they are so different from each other it highly amuses me every time I think about it. The only common denominator I can think of is that they have both been on Alex Jones and oppose NWO in totally diffrent ways. And that makes me laugh even more.
But I would probably never be reading Zecharia Sitchin about Sumer and Enki if it were not for Passio and 911. Because he goes there as well, in considerable depth, in explaining the self-loathing of the dark occult elites. And I think he has a point that will fascinate Prometeus.
But don’t jump to the last podcasts. Go in order 1,2 3……”it’s a tapestry”. Whatonearthis happening.com all the way to the bottom. Or at least to # 1 and hear the guy out there before you discard his pony tail. Which, IMHO would be a common, but big mistake.
All for now!
I ditch this one Bro, see you Wednesday
As for me, all these occult/esoteric numerology connections confirm, there are spiritual entities working behind the veil. How could any Illuminati or whatever human secret society arrange all the details of, for example:
2010 Copiapo mining accident
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Copiap%C3%B3_mining_accident)
33 miners
69 days underground (3×23)
brought up by Phoenix/Fenix
It was a ritual:
The Beast (33) was resurrected from death (23) and rose up from the pit (chaos in Greek) as a Phoenix (re-borned antichrist).
Pretty obvious for the Bible believer… ;)

One Earth
Today, I’m a little bit grumpy.
I hate winter.
First, you get up in the morning, light one of the fire places, make coffee, take on 3 or four layers of clothes, go outside, feed the wild birds, have a cigarette, look at the path to the nearest road, 30 cm’s of snow, car is loaded with snow.
Sometimes that repeat itself every day for a couple of weeks.
Every third day, I bring in the house appr. 100 pcs of wood for our fireplaces.
4 to 6 frikkin months of winter.
However, that was not really what I wanted to talk about (convey if you wish).
This is.
I have now been on this forum for a year, a year and a half, and have (believe it or not), read about 90% of th total number of posts in that period.
It goes without saying, that I do attend, and comment on quite a few other forums, as well as various National news-outlets occasionally.
Now, however I am beginning to feel the pressure of information overload.
For those of you who have read The late Royal British Astronomer Fred Hoyle’s Sci-Fi novel “The Black Mist”, might understand this.
I could send out this message to all of you: http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/FrogStuck.jpg
I won’t. Why?
Simple. Each one of us have our own path(s) to walk.
I have had on this forum, some tremendous positive experiences, in terms of adding to my knowledge in a large variety of field, including some of these moments: http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/Huuh.jpg
However, it seems to me that here,(and on quite a few other alt. outlets) is a majority of people (in search of their life path’s, or whatever you want to call it), that seems to somehow neglect, don’t understand (or don’t want to) the life of “ordinary” people (deplorable” if you wish. And seems committed in some odd fashion to run around in circles, debating with like-minded (or not so like minded), in a small circle, (popular expression “circle Jerk).
How many of you spend time with people like this?
These people: http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/RedNeck02.jpg
On their terms, not yours. I do, and believe me, a lot of these people do have pure hearts.
Bashing, and sharing one’s feeble intellectual capacity here, and elsewhere, however satisfying that may seem ATM does not cut it for me.
Go out there!!
Yes, we all know about all the bad guys (random example, I have made hundreds) http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/Nancy_Pelosi01_Faces_of_Evil_resize.jpg
This guy, however does not know anything about that though: http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/Panda0030Crop.jpg
Neither does he: http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/Polarbear0032Crop.jpg
They, however needs US, out THERE, not just here.

http://telemarksporten.no/Tegneserier/Sh—-ngPoliticians.jpg
He can’t do much about it though. Can we? And how?
Or, are we continuing to be going to do the same shit as these “folks”?
Different wrapping, but still.

Kent, I very well understand your points & frustrations.
I’m dealing with this challenge to enter more often the empirical life round about us for the last couple of years. We have a desire to increase knowledge, understanding and wisdom, in order to appreciate & enjoy the world of phenomena in a more profound way. But it can become a trap of itself, leading to a separation and existence in one’s own solipsistic whirlwind (hall of mirrors, if you will)…
Thanks God, the foolishness of my arrogant youth in contempting the “deplorable ignorant zombies” is mainly behind me (once a while remainding me, that the beast is not dead, yet).
“On their terms, not yours. I do, and believe me, a lot of these people do have pure hearts.”
I’m trying to appreciate such opportunities, while having in mind: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Much Ado About Trumble
From The Chaser
White House apologises, says it meant no offence to President Trumble of Austria
image: http://www.chaser.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/trumble.jpg
The White House has today released an open letter of apology to the nation of Australia, seeking to repair any damage caused in President Trump’s tumultuous first week. Calling his actions “simply first week wobbles” the President wrote that it will be the first priority of his government to repair any damage caused in his relationship with the President of Austria, Marcom Trumble.
“Marcom and I have been friends for a long time now, a long time.” wrote Mr Trump, in an attempt to show another side to his relationship with the Australian leader. “People are always remarking how close Trumble and I are, and I must say how impressed I am at how well he speaks English, almost like it’s his first tongue.”
Mr Trump also expressed his fondness for Australia and it’s people, stating that Australia had given the world many great gifts “from Freud to Beethoven.”
“In fact, I owe my whole campaign success to Australia really. If it hadn’t been for a helpful book written by a certain failed Austrian artist, I might never have learned how to speak in a way that appealed to people from all classes and walks of life. Yes, I’ll admit the man turned out to be a monster, but that’s not to say he didn’t make some great accomplishments in his lifetime too.”
Sources in the White House later clarified that Mr Trump was in fact talking about Rolf Harris.

Given the small predilection for poetry oft times found at this cafe, I though you might all appreciate this small offering, from a regular commentator at RI
Vasaya Pypkin
Trump and his team. Whoever thinks this thing will fly and makes America great again or improve
relations with Russia has to read this short and beautiful Russian fable by Krylov. :
When partners can’t agree
Their dealings come to naught
And trouble is their labor’s only fruit.
Once Crawfish, Swan and Pike
Set out to pull a loaded cart,
And all together settled in the traces;
They pulled with all their might, but still the cart refused to budge!
The load it seemed was not too much for them:
Yet Crawfish scrambled backwards,
Swan strained up skywards, Pike pulled toward the sea.
Who’s guilty here and who is right is not for us to say –
But anyway the cart’s still there today.
Thank you for the fable from Krylov, I’m going to think about that . . .
I like the “oft” you wrote in “small predilection for poetry oft times”, being big on small predilections, and small on big oft’s, and it reminded me too, of “o’er…”
“Swiftly walk o’er the western wave”
“So ran the first line of this poem by Shelley in the the first edition of this book when it appeared. Whereupon a friend pointed out (more, I hope, in sorrow than in anger), that Shelley had written “over” not o’er –at least so the word appears in the Harvard MS, of the poem, though not in the edition of 1824. And this is not a trivial point.
“Swiftly walk o’er the western wave, Spirit of Night” brings into the mind a vast sea, the dusk of the heavens above darkening into night; and that sea is calm and without waves on its surface.
“Swiftly walk over” seems to conjure up into the imagination the very specter of Night advancing over the wave-tossed waters, as light and surely as the storm petrel itself. And this is but a further proof that the rhythm of a poem is essential, not only to its sensuous, but to its imaginative and intellectual meaning.”
Walter de la Mare, Come Hither, p. 744
And now the whole poem by PB Shelley:
To Night
Swiftly walk o’er the western wave,
Spirit of Night!
Out of the misty eastern cave,
Where, all the long and lone daylight,
Thou wovest dreams of joy and fear,
Which make thee terrible and dear,—
Swift be thy flight!
Wrap thy form in a mantle gray,
Star-inwrought!
Blind with thine hair the eyes of Day;
Kiss her until she be wearied out,
Then wander o’er city, and sea, and land,
Touching all with thine opiate wand—
Come, long-sought!
When I arose and saw the dawn,
I sighed for thee;
When light rode high, and the dew was gone,
And noon lay heavy on flower and tree,
And the weary Day turned to his rest,
Lingering like an unloved guest.
I sighed for thee.
Thy brother Death came, and cried,
Wouldst thou me?
Thy sweet child Sleep, the filmy-eyed,
Murmured like a noontide bee,
Shall I nestle near thy side?
Wouldst thou me?—And I replied,
No, not thee!
Death will come when thou art dead,
Soon, too soon—
Sleep will come when thou art fled;
Of neither would I ask the boon
I ask of thee, belovèd Night—
Swift be thine approaching flight,
Come soon, soon!
beautifull, very near to my sense of this week
A very interesting poll came out in Europe. It asked if a ban on immigration from majority Muslim countries was a good idea. An average of 55% said yes. With the next largest group saying they weren’t sure. Many of the 10 countries in the poll were heavy “yes” over 50% and up to 70% saying “yes”. The only 2 countries under 50% were Britain and Spain. Though the “yes” was still the winner in those countries. It showed the majority of people over 44 were clearly in favor. While those from below were less so. A clear sign that the “liberalization” in the MSM and academia has done its propaganda work well among the young in Europe too,as well as the US and Canada.

Thank you, T13, that is truly beautiful.
I think this may be Givi’s last video — published to YouTube on Feb.3. I can’t understand him, but think he may be talking about his recent 3-day combat and losing four fighters and being wounded, himself. I’m hoping that this will be subtitled in English at some point. Also hope that his funeral is videoed for us. Only thing that could make me sadder is if he were my own child — deep condolences to all his family and many dear friends.

From Novalis- Hyms to the Night (link at the bottom to the whole work)
At no grave can weep
Any who love and pray.
The gift of Love they keep,
From none can it be taken away.
To soothe and quiet his longing,
Night comes and inspires—
Heaven’s children round him thronging
Watch and guard his heart.
Have courage, for life is striding
To endless life along;
Stretched by inner fire,
Our sense becomes transfigured.
One day the stars above
Shall flow in golden wine,
We will enjoy it all,
And as stars we will shine.
The love is given freely,
And Separation is no more.
The whole life heaves and surges
Like a sea without a shore.
Just one night of bliss—
One everlasting poem—
And the sun we all share
Is the face of God.

Israel Shamir, 2.7.17 —
“President Trump had paid a hefty advance to the Jews. He did (almost) all they wanted for their Jewish state: he promised to move the US embassy to the occupied Jerusalem thus legalising their annexation of the holy city; he condoned their illegal settlements, he gave them starred positions in his administration; he told the Palestinians to drop their case in the ICC or else, he even threatened Iran with war. All that in vain. Jewish organisations and Jewish media attack Trump without slightest hesitation and consideration. His first step in curbing the soft invasion wave had been met with uniform Jewish vehemence . . .”

“KEY QUESTIONS. On February 21 there was an agreement; then the snipers. July a ray of hope, then MH17. What’s going to derail it now? Who wants Ukraine go get worse? Will the Europeans be distracted again?”

RT has a short news story that shows just how doomed Europe is as a land of nation states:
Ageing Europe needs immigration – EU foreign affairs chief
“With its ageing population, Europe needs immigration and can only resolve the migrant crisis through cooperation and not by “closing its doors,” EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini said Wednesday. “I believe Europeans should understand that we need immigration for our economies,” as the continent’s population ages, Mogherini said, opening a Europe-Africa meeting on migration in the Maltese capital. Some 8,500 people making desperate bids to reach Europe have been rescued at sea since the start of the year, while at least 227 people are either missing or feared dead. (AFP)”
Not a word on how to overcome the birthrate problem by reversing the problem and increasing your own birthrates. No, their solution is to replace their own population by non-European immigration. With “leaders” like that ruling Europe it will soon be “Finis Europa”.
@ Uncle Bob
Indeed, it’s sickening to hear such idiocy – but at least the EU says what’s all about: capital needs cheap sheep labour for the oligarchy to keep on milking the proles.
Increasing the birth rate appears to be a problem there but they can erect big monuments to the war dogs/gods like the new NATO theme park.
Despite the Sorosian header, this is a good analysis of media/political collusion in the Netherlands – and pretty much the case in the rest of Europe and the US:

It also accounts for the virtual coverup of the MH-17 plane crash by Dutch media.
THE, very best Geo-Political analysis I have read in a long time.
“Iran war rhetoric and the ‘Trump-ordered’ dawn raid in Yemen: WWIII isn’t ‘coming’ – It’s happening NOW”
