If anyone is in need of MI6/BBC propaganda, a top-up can be found here and it features those incredible world-renowned white helmets who are completely sarin resistant and whose acting is world class.

Chemical weapons, white helmets, rockets, shells, barrel bombs -it is all here.
It is unclear how much the actor has been paid to not sleep.
Well, well, in the last Cafe Bro 93 made me a big surprise. I’m a little bit shy, that’s true, my voice is not truly like Mario Lanza, my old music teacher from school would have a good laughing…but anyway, it seems the older you get, crazier you met, just ask Dennis…That song was private in my home, at least here I can do what I want and like, it was just an experiment in private. But that was funny indeed. That doesn’t mean that I’m not aware of the world politics and happenings, that was the reason for which I came here on this blog. The poetry is like a side-hit, just to add a colored wit.
And, here is the poem, without the song :
Waltz on One, Two, Three
One two three, one two three, a piruette
One two three, one two three, kissing Jeanette
One two three, one two three, hitting the chair,
Oh my leg, oh my leg …my song in the air…
We’re dancing, all around, with my sweet baby,
Feeling the rhythm and beyond, then hitting a lady…
Her back, her ass,…oh, wow !
And her legs in high heels…like a plough
Pardonnez-moi, fräulein et monsieur,
I lose my shoe, but here’s your hat …Sir
One two three, one two three, a piruette
One two three, one two three, kissing Jeanette
People are dancing, superbly the waltz
In their amusement, hitting the walls.
Oh baby, tell me why…
Now I feel, that I could fly…
Flying away, just you and me,
With this waltz, on one, two, three…
Here sings Mario Lanza the famous song “Toselli’s Serenade” :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn—QLcZiE
and here is the lyrics :
Regret (Toselli’s Serenade)
Like a golden dream
it is carved in my heart.
The memory still
of that love that no longer exists.
It was the first view
of that sweet smile
that made us happy,
with its brilliance, our youth.
But it was very brief in me
the sweetness of which truly vanished
this beautiful golden dream
leaving sorrow within me.
Dark is the future
always more sad
the days of youth passed
will be regretted ; I remain alone, yes
Such bitter regret and grief in my heart !
Oh ray of sun,
On my path alas no longer shines.
No longer, no longer !
The great trap: “Economist Josh Ryan-Collins: How Land Disappeared from Economic Theory”
“Rising land values suck purchasing power and demand out of the economy, as the benefits of growth are concentrated in property owners with a low marginal propensity to consume, which in turn reduces spending and investment. In addition, most new credit creation by the banking system now flows in to real estate rather than productive activity. This crowds out productive investment, both by the banking system itself and non-bank investors who see the potential for much higher returns on relatively tax free real estate investment.
Land values also fundamentally effect the impact of monetary policy, particularly in financially liberalized economies. If a central bank lowers interest rates to try and stimulate capital investment and consumption, it is likely to simultaneously drive up land prices and the economic rent attaching to them as more credit flows in to mortgages for domestic and commercial real estate. This has a naturally perverse effect on the capital investment and consumption effects that the lowering of interest rates was intended to achieve.”

Good morning. It’s 4 am here and a cool 55 degrees. It will be a warm and sunny day later. I hope your day is the same.
Today is the first day of week twenty in the solar love calendar. The theme is “Will” with polarities of Should and Wood. It is the Six of Space in the suit of space, the sixth space in consciousness after Body, Emotion, Fantasy, Dream and Mind. It features the tarot cards, the six of pentacles and the two of wands, the former showing a rich man dropping coins into the hands of two beggars in rags while holding scales and the latter a man standing between two large wands looking out over the ocean while holding an earth globe in his right hand.
The overall structure of The Love Government book is that of a house of consciousness cards and tarot cards, fifty-two in number, corresponding to the fifty-two weeks of the year. In the meta-story, the fool or joker card is called Joy, a joyful joyfool who takes us through the house of consciousness where each step or card illustrates part of our consciousness in the seven columns of the house, namely Number, Time, Space, Form, Life, Light and Sound, in seven levels with a wild card (Joy), a holy card and a high card at the top of the house.
Each step or card has four sections: a story, stream of consciousness poem, commentary and twenty-one line shorter poem. I’d like to share the story for this week with my comments in brackets. Joy’s words are in quotation marks.
—————-
My mind was spinning like a top when we made another stop on our trek to the top of the space column. We weren’t wasting time or space.
“No rest for the wicked and the good don’t need it. ‘Home, James,’ [My middle name is James] or in the case of your new middle name, ‘Home, Joy,” [I took the name, Joy, on a new email account between my first and last name] or ‘Home, Boy,’ as the case may be.”
From the twinkle in her eye, I sensed Joy was up to something. The fog lifted, revealing a couple of shimmering beam me up virtual cards [the aforementioned Six of Pentacles and Two of Wands]. One held scales and dropped coins; the other stood between wand pillars with a world in hand.
“Mind and Will go together like hand in love, not an iron fist in a velvet glove, but a flesh and blood cup filled from above. Good wood refers to a firm clitoris as well as a strong penis. Wood Will of both are needed to generate a Love Government well-founded on sound ground. The Lover is sex symbol personified. She is the supreme lover of all. Sex is her strong suit in heart trump.”
I had trouble calling a sexy spade a spade. Joy didn’t. It struck me as ironic that I used to confess impure thoughts in a black confessional box to a black robed priest patriarch, hoping to save my soul from mortal sins and eternal hell fire. As penance, I recited Our Fathers and Hail Mary’s. I later was a reverend father myself on the other side of the screen. Patriarch sex is one big black box from the dark ages.
“If you only knew your Hail Mary’s were going to the lover of She’sus and she was the Magdalene Magna-line, a bloodline running back to the Great Lover who created us. What a rewrite of the patriarch line. Our Father in heaven would not be pleased with what Our Mother on earth was doing.
“Don’t get me wrong. Fathers have their place. Their good wood is needed for the house we’re traveling in. When you’re out of house and home, you’re a rambling wreck from Patriarch Tech. I prefer an unviagra’d niagra of vineyard love. Hold the world in your hand and stand like a man. Don’t give money to people on their knees. Help them to stand up as they please.”
Going up through this house was a way of standing up and growing up. The house was a horn of plenty, a cornucopia of consciousness broadcasting seeds of plenty.
“In a new book, The Vanishing Middle Class: Prejudice and Power in a Dual Economy, Peter Temin, Professor Emeritus of Economics at MIT, draws a portrait of the new reality in a way that is frighteningly, indelibly clear: America is not one country anymore. It is becoming two, each with vastly different resources, expectations, and fates.”
“our roads and bridges look more like those in Thailand or Venezuela than the Netherlands or Japan.”
“today in the U.S., the ticket out is education, which is difficult for two reasons: you have to spend money over a long period of time, and the FTE sector is making those expenditures more and more costly by defunding public schools and making policies that increase student debt burdens.”
“Around 1970, the productivity of workers began to get divided from their wages. Corporate attorney and later Supreme Court Justice Lewis Powell galvanized the business community to lobby vigorously for its interests. Johnson’s War on Poverty was replaced by Nixon’s War on Drugs, which sectioned off many members of the low-wage sector, disproportionately black, into prisons. ”
“[Peter] Temin notes that “the desire to preserve the inferior status of blacks has motivated policies against all members of the low-wage sector.””
“Without a robust middle class, America is not only reverting to developing-country status, it is increasingly ripe for serious social turmoil that has not been seen in generations. A dual economy has separated America from the idea of what most of us thought the country was meant to be. ”

yes, on the Infowars 30 hour broadcast for Free Speech and in Defense of the West, Catherine Austin Fitts spoke about this in a very non ideological way and with great good humor when Alex Jones kept interrupting her to prod her in his direction. She says that the swamp can be drained one county at a time. In other words the system can be brought down from a local level. with participatory budgeting.
People need to meet, demand to see the financial books and then make decisions that effect the purchasing as well as contracting flow in ways that grow and benefit the local economy. In other words, money can be made draining the swamp—lots of it. This is all lawful, local and practical.
I suppose it is the slogan of “Think globally, act locally” put to use in a non ideological way, although I do not think one can really escape ideological or at least value based assumptions. She feels that there is much, much more commonality between people once the conversation is based on the latter rather than the former.
I think she is correct.
The following poem I wrote on April 14, 2014
https://evehuman2013.wordpress.com/2014/04/14/a-sea-of-pain/
At the time nobody wanted to read it here in the West. Sadly I was right and the mainstream, including all of my family and friends were wrong. The Ukraine was really going to sink into:
A SEA OF PAIN
The psychopaths of power
once again devour
another land
with a slight of hand
turn into a sea of pain
the Ukraine.
The phrases of democracy
while dripping with hypocrisy
from their mouths so loud
the words they did shout
leaving nothing but pain
for the Ukraine.
What will the future bring
what songs will they sing
marching to a Nazi tune
ethnic cleansing soon
rivers of blood and pain
in the Ukraine?
Where’s your conscience West
well it hides at best
or then have you none
look at what you’ve done
causing fear and pain
in the Ukraine.
All that’s left for me
is to watch and see
and to hope and pray
that God’s mercy may
spare from war and pain
the Ukraine.
First time I recall meeting you here in the cafe. Well met. “Eve’s Times in difficult times” seems a good match for an anti-war site such as the vineyard. Your website is beautiful. I read the first of your poems called “Not a Planned Child.”
Forgive the downer, but I couldn’t help think of the 3000 abortions per day just in the US of A. Billions worldwide over the years since keeping count. This is a war on the most vulnerable; and we wonder why we have unending wars? Karma Kali is close to wiping us out and starting from scratch.
And yes, there are extreme cases where abortion is warranted. Mother Nature herself aborts at very early stages if things are not right; but that’s very different than abortions of convenience.
Fortunately, we have Vineyarders who are more than just bystanders, and more like Hermia and her Lysanders.
Thank you, Dennis, for your kind compliments. I have been a regular reader of the Saker for a couple of years now and agree with most of his positions (accept his idea that the Catholic church is hopelessly corrupt, but that’s a topic for another time)
You are right about the practice of abortion. I also see it as crime against humanity, against the sanctity of life. But here in Western-Europe it’s nearly impossible to say that without being met by a lot of hatred. But I believe with all my heart that human life must always be sacred
If you like my poems, maybe I’ll post a few more in another Moveable Feast Cafe)
That would be great Eve ! I didn’t visited your blog but I will.
Today I remembered the early days of resistence and the uninterrupted bombardment of Slaviansk.
The militia finally had to move, to spare the people and themself

Over the Waves
The stars are so far and cold,
They play according to their own rules,
With our soul, body and spirit
Since our life is only a sail.
Over the waves! You little ship,
Your ocean is more than wide and wide,
Sometimes the waves lead you quietly,
Sometimes they lead by force …
Cheers mundo
Now I visited your site, splendid ! I recommend to everyone who loves poetry. Congratulations !
For friends here, according to mkbhadrakumar’s reading of Tillerson’s remark at state department on Trump administration’s foreign policy agenda, we may see some light soon. We have to wait and see of cause.
Trump’s ‘America First’ reappears centre stage:
http://blogs.rediff.com/mkbhadrakumar/2017/05/04/trumps-america-first-reappears-centre-stage/
“Right at the outset of his remarks, Tillerson underlined that the US policies will not be driven by “exceptionalism”. Nor will they be ideology-driven. He expounded that values matter – democracy, human rights, etc. – but they are not to be mixed up with foreign policy. “I think it’s really important that all of us understand the difference between policy and values.” Plainly put, there is no regime-change agenda, no interest in humanitarian interventions, no intentions to be a global policeman.”
Tillerson and Trump can talk what ever but in reality Pentagon, Mattis and McMaster are doing what they really want. Tillerson is like Russia with Empire, a bin man. Trying to clean up the mess in foreign policy what war party has done. Tillerson should move to Russia and become Russian.
You are right. The generals are calling the shots out there.
I wonder (sometimes). what are we doing here? (what the frikk am I doing here?) scratching each others backs are we?, A s a minority of minorities, apparently all past our prime (to put it mildly). And yet, we fight amongst ourselves, and , in my opinion anyway, serious contributors disappear at an alarming rate without trace and explanations etc., leaving the rest of us in bewilderment as to what is really going on here.
I am beginning to have some serious doubts on whether certain aspects of this blog serves the overall “goal” if you will “Stop the empire’s war on Russia” in a manner that actually contributes to this common cause or slogan in a positive way.
Ring a bell?? “Director of Research and Development” When did this pop out?.,
“Givi is a traitor”, “Motorola is a traitor”, Maria Zakharova is a traitor?? and Erdogan is our guy????
Hello?? welcome to weirdo land, bring buckets of salt, I mean BUCKETS, plenty of them when reading the rants, sitreps etc.. especially when a certain cat M. is mentioned as the source.
Blue, I’m with you, all the way.

yup-I have some thoughts on this too
note latest against Russia here
“A US House of Representatives bill establishing control over the Russian Far East ports envisions a show of force and thus amounts to a declaration of war, the chairman of the Russian upper house of parliament’s international committee told Sputnik.
“This bill, I hope will never be implemented because its implementation envisions a scenario of power with forced inspections of all vessels by US warships,” Konstantin Kosachev said Friday.
His comments follow the reported passage on Thursday of a House bill enhancing sanctions against North Korea, outlining “inspection authorities” over Chinese, Iranian, Syrian and Russian ports. The latter include the ports of Nakhodka, Vanino and Vladivostok.
“Such a power scenario is beyond comprehension, because it means a declaration of war,” Kosachev underscored.”

This is information from the 90s. LSD is a drug that makes a man more feminine. CIA wanted to know if it had a military use. Lymes disease is also suspected by some. I don’t know if this disease is a problem in Norway, but it is in some other countries. I got it and was out for weeks. What saved me were two different kinds of pencillin and that was against the rules. A chief doctor and member of the establishment accused me for the doctors prescriptions. I, the patient, was at fault. Some patients recover in Germany, but I didn’t have the money to go there.
Russia sometimes seems to me to have a deep down death wish. By letting a 5th column elite continue to have great influence in the country. Letting anti-Russian NGO’s operate in the country.Even letting Russophobic governments have official offices in the country. Its not a “coincidence” that the areas those offices are in,the two largest cities, and Siberia, and the Far East, can cover the entire country. And lastly grovelling,to try and appease her enemies for “trade”. Enemies whose whole ultimate design is her own destruction. What can be said about that.I’m thinking of the saying,”God helps those who help themselves”. Sometimes a country reaches a point where they allow (even help to) “stack the deck” against themselves so badly, that its impossible to recover from it. Russia appears intent on doing that to themselves. When will she learn to stop that. And even a better question is “will she learn”.I remember that there is a long word in Russian used about the US. That the US isn’t capable of making a deal and keeping it. I wonder is there a long Russian word for a country not capable of learning from the mistakes they’ve made in the past.If so,they need to reflect on that word themselves.
Someone is sure to disagree with what I’m saying. We don’t accept things we don’t want to believe. But lets examine some of the facts.First in the 1980’s-1990’s it was Russians themselves that believed they could trust the “honey words” from the West. Some might say,”but how would they know they were lies”. Well,I knew at the time they were lies.I remember thinking and saying back then,”surely” they won’t buy that garbage. But they did. What does that say that a “little person” could see that. But officials and “experts” in the USSR couldn’t grasp that. They destroyed themselves, and let some of the worse leaders in Russian history come to power.Stood by while a criminal elite was created that looted the country.
The 1990’s created an elite in Russia that literally looted the country as bad as a foreign occupation army would have. Her “civilizational” existence was deeply threatened. The Yeltsin years saw a period when a country, that during the Soviet period and before, had a “positive” birthrate ,go to a “negative” birth and death rate. But for that period ,Russia’s population today would be almost 20% higher than it is now.And while your enemies population grows stronger in numbers. The largest country in the World. With untold treasures of natural resources let its population grow weaker in numbers.Even today, the “turnaround” of the birthrate is extremely weak. The criminal elite created in that period stole at “least” trillions of dollars of Russia’s wealth.Did they use it to invest in the country they were destroying. Of course not. They used it to live like “gods”. And to invest in the West. While transferring so much money from Russia into foreign bank accounts. That its rumored there is more Russian money in Western banks than in Russian banks.Almost all (maybe all) the Russian elite have second, third, fourth, homes in the West. Send their children to the West for education and sometimes careers.Even in many cases they live permanently themselves in the West.Only keeping a house or two in Russia to “visit”. Like a colonial planter in the old days that ran their plantations between visits to London, Paris,or Madrid.
It looked like that would change when things got so bad, they couldn’t be ignored any longer. And the few patriots left among the elites put Putin into office to “reform” the system. He did to an extend. He curtailed and punished the most notorious of the oligarchs. But stopped there. They were somewhat controlled. But they were allowed the fruits of their past crimes. And the system of “oligarchy” itself was allowed to remain,as long as they were quieter politically.Helped by the “enormous” increase in oil prices in the early 2000’s,Russia was able to recover somewhat. The population began to have more personal money to live on .The people began to feel better about Russia’s condition. But while the money flowed freely there was no incentive to make the choices that would strengthen Russia for any bad times (the story of the squirrel and the grasshopper would fit here). The largest country on earth, was dependent on imported food. An industrial World powerhouse in the Soviet period imported mainly foreign products. While her closed industries continued to collect dust. Moscow and St Petersburg gleamed. While in the heartland, outside the cities little really changed. Foreign cars flood the streets, foreign brand names dominate advertising in the media.Even the youth (a nations future) is so enamored of Western money and “culture” that they ape the West. Look at any crowd of everyday young people and see the Western brand names and product names on the shirts they wear (in English BTW).They are everywhere among the young.
The greatest and certainly one of the most needed reforms has been in the military. That has been very impressive. And yet,a country can not survive “only” with its military. Though, it can’t survive in today’s World without it too. There has be as the saying goes “a happy medium”. Even with the military though, the rot of the 1990’s,hasn’t been fully overcome.Only today in 2017 is Russia beginning to do without some imported parts and technology needed for the military. Many problems were until recently (very recently) allowed to remain and fester. After the 2008 war in Georgia, the handwriting was on the wall about what the future would hold. But it wasn’t fully understood, maybe because the writing was in English (?).But anyone learning from the mistakes made in the past should have been able to translate it. The Yeltsin “yoke” saw the “vast country” lose almost all her influence in the World. It allowed the West to strengthen NATO,and pick off Russia’s friends, one by one. Yugoslavia first, then its heir Serbia,Iraq,Somalia,Yemen,Montenegro, even Syria to a great extent. It allowed the US to get influence in the CIS countries as well. And things for a long time didn’t change under Putin. He ignored, color revolutions,in Georgia,Ukraine,Kyrgyzstan, and even invited the US to further gain influence in Central Asia.Wanting to build a “relationship” with Europe the Russian government ignored the growing Russophobia sponsored in the West. And ignored the “drip by drip” loss of influence even in the “near abroad”. Instead of drawing a line in the sand over Georgia. And taking the opportunity of the Georgian war to expel the West from Georgia. Russia stopped with a half way measure of protecting tiny Ossetia. Leaving the West dominate in all the rest of Georgia.Which set the stage for the West to turn to detaching Ukraine from her soul as a part of the Russian World. When the West sponsored the fascist coup in Ukraine.Instead of not recognizing the Russophobic regime there. And encouraging Yanukovich from a safety in Russia to call on the Ukrainians to overthrow that illegal regime.Allowing Russian “volunteers” to help a government in exile fight for Ukraine’s freedom.Russia recognized that fascist junta as legitimate.Allowing for all the disaster we see today in the Donbas. Russia (so far) at least realized that “enough was enough” and to an extent helps Donbas to stay free. But just barely. While seeing 85% of Ukraine now under the control of the West. Possibly, finally realizing on some level the danger she is in. Russia has tried (again half way) to save Syria. Her last real ally in the MENA (Iran is a “pardner”.Very important for Russia. Though many in Russia don’t seem to understand that yet) .But still the ugly schism in Russia continues to be felt. They can’t seem to make up their mind, whether they can be friends with an enemy that wants them destroyed. Or to side with their only friends.Russia’s survival depends on them making the right choice in that.Playing both sides isn’t a survivable option for Russia in the long term.
Personally,I like Putin. I consider him one of Russia’s best rulers in all her history. But still I’m not blind to the mistakes made. Or the problems so far unsolved. In Russia’s history a reforming “Tsar” to succeed, must drag the elite with him. Ivan IV,Peter I,Catherine II,Alexander I,and Alexander II. Only succeeded where they were able to have control over the elite. And bend them to their will. The occasions they failed (and the other Tsars) were times they weren’t able to get that support. In Ivan and Peter’s case they created an almost entire new elite to get the support they needed.Even when we look at probably the ruler who rebuild Russia (the entire USSR) more than anyone else in her history, Stalin. He had to force the elite (that he himself created) to enact the reforms, that saw a Russia “built of straw, into one built of brick”. And made her into a World Superpower able to prevent the West from World domination. The question so far not fully answered is,is Putin able to tame his elite. And bend them to him. He can when things are easy. When the issues aren’t a matter of live and death for Russia. But can he,when it comes to the hard issues. When the questions and answers are difficult. That we haven’t seen yet. What I have seen is half way measures on every difficult issue. And that doesn’t bode well for the future. We have a ruler, that probably has more personal support among Russia’s people. Than any one single ruler in Russia’s modern history. And yet he can’t seem to channel that support into forcing the elite to fully follow his orders. No matter how brilliant a Russian ruler has ever been. Unless they are able to force their will on the elite (deep state in US terms) they can not succeed. That is the biggest question mark on Putin, can he. He should be able to,but can he. Or maybe the question should be instead, “will he,and if so when”. Before or after its too late.
Hi, Uncle Bob 1, Really enjoyed your long rant. There is a paradox in the Russian history, which has begun with Revolution in 1917 – exactly 100 years ago. Then continued with Stalin, who had to learn the lessons of “partnering” with the west by getting a big snap in 1941. After the war, the lessons have been applied and seemingly learned, more or less successful until the early 80’s. Today is a continuation in some ways of the policies of the 80’s, with the addition of an oligarchic new class who were behind the disintegration of the USSR (you have described very well who they are). Could this class be dismembered ? probably yes, but who will done it ? What I can see, is, that for the sake of peace (internally and externally) the Russian leaders are doing everything possible, even making deals with their enemies. Waiting for the repetition of 1941 ? well, that is risky, as if to wait for a bacteria to develop into a bad illness, infecting the entire corpse.
UB, I really enjoy reading your comments here because they convey exactly my sentiments.
Mr. Putin, for all his brilliance, made one single mistake you pointed out, and that is not creating an elite of his own. There was enough time to do so, but odious characters like Chubais are still around. Never mind inexplicable errors like Surdyakov, the Mistral saga (meant to waste time), and the multitude of semi-solutions like Georgia, which directly resulted in the Ukraine setback, etc.
I was convinced that things had changed for the better when Russia stepped into Syria finally, but if it results in one more semi-solution, as it seems to be the case now, the emboldened zionazis will continue with their sick agenda with impunity!
I can’t grasp the rationale behind those half-solutions in times when Russia has the upper hand. Politics recognizes only two quantities: success or failure. There is no in between! E.g., leaving Shakashvili alone when he should had been hung by his balls, as Putin promised, resulted in this ritual defiance of Russia awarding him to run Odessa – the place where the Russian Spring was suffocated in blood!
Oh, how is one to know what one doesn’t know (Tolstoy).
Uncle Bob, Russia has two enemies. One political and one economical. It is impossible to break free from both in a short period of time. Much has been done since 1999, but the central bank still takes orders from the IMF. Russia builds up her economy in difficult times and has an impressive defence. Look at the good things. When Russia has consolidated itself, she will break free. A Stalinlike purge? That would be a disaster. Russia still tries to get people to understand she is not the Sovjetunion.
One more thing, Uncle Bob. A female too power in Russia in the 18th century. She asked the military to support her by promising an end to the death penalty. She inspired some other royal houses. I never see her mentioned and have forgotten her name.
You are thinking of Elisabeth I,Peter I’s daughter. She was the ruler that brought Catherine II to Russia to marry Peter III. She was an intermediate ruler. Once in power she did little to make reforms. And is known in history more for her connection to Peter I and Catherine II than for anything else.
But Stalin for all his faults was able to reform the political elite and build Russia (the USSR) into an industrial powerhouse. Strong enough to stop nazi Germany, in the years between 1928-1941 a 14 year period. The post-Yeltsin period is 17 years already. And still the political elite isn’t fully controlled. And the economy, with much more wealth and technology than Stalin had to work with. Is comparably weaker than Stalin’s.
Cry? Can you still do that? I can.
Glimpses of Nirvana
In the darkness of the night, only occasionally relieved by glimpses of Nirvana as seen through other people’s windows, wallowing in a morass of self-despair made only more painful by the knowledge that all I am is of my own making …
When everything around me, even the kitchen ceiling, has collapsed and crumbled without warning. And I am left, standing alive and well, looking up and wondering why and wherefore.
At a time like this, which exists maybe only for me, but is nonetheless real, if I can communicate, and in the telling and the bearing of my soul anything is gained, even though the words which I use are pretentious and make you cringe with embarrassment, let me remind you of the pilgrim who asked for an audience with the Dalai Lama.
He was told he must first spend five years in contemplation. After the five years, he was ushered into the Dalai Lama’s presence, who said, ‘Well, my son, what do you wish to know?’ So the pilgrim said, ‘I wish to know the meaning of life, father.’
And the Dalai Lama smiled and said, ‘Well my son, life is like a beanstalk, isn’t it?’
Held close by that which some despise
which some call fake, and others lies
And somewhat small
for one so tall
a doubting Thomas who would be?
It’s written plain for all to see
for one who I am with no more
it’s hard at times, it’s awful raw
They say that Jesus healed the sick and helped the poor
and those unsure
believed his eyes
– a strange disguise
Still write it down, it might be read
nothing’s better left unsaid
only sometimes, still no doubt
it’s hard to see, it all works out
Not the best version, posted that one earlier.
Been there??

The poem is beautiful (written by you ?), I’m glad you have done it and shared with us !
I think (do I). I thought, Wow, this was the place, the Cafe’, the analysis, sitreps, people with vast experiences on so many fields that you are flabbergasted, blown out of the sky, so to speak., and I do thank you all, no names mentioned, but you know who you are, right?
I am truly gracious to all, thank you so very much for sharing you knowledge, experiences, simple, and not so simple thoughts- I’ll still be here, for whatever it might be worth for some.
However, as a primary source of analysis, comments etc. This blog is not it. But still an essential part off course.
Study this from wherever you come, whatever your experiences in life. and for the person (forgot the name) who replied the last time I posted this publication, that in order to fully understand bla bla bla, you had to study at least 15 years extensively just to grasp the essentials, I say frikk you flashwhore, get a grip, get real, and go out and fight. I do. But this is my nature.

Very good thoughts Kent, I’m out (in my home) and have the daily fight, hour by hour. The mood is changing, once is up in the high, then is down in the basement. We all have our own war to fight, the cross we wear may differ.
IMO the primal fight each person should struggle for is integrity (from latin “integer” = “whole”).
That is to live according one’s principles with minimum of compromises.
My understanding of integrity is following:
Idea/Concept = Expression/Word = Manifestation/Action
No contradictions involved. And the perfect example of that, in my understanding, is God. And I can humbly pray with David:
Psalms 25:21
“Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.”
Psalms 26:11
“But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.”
Blessings to all.
We, Are not on the road to hell!! We’re in it!!
one way out only, Spirititual, tough, but still. THE ONLY WAY OUT Of HERE!! no other options available ar present. None!!
What is the Van Allen Belt??

The belt protects us from radiation. The space station is inside the belt. The moon is not and that has led to speculation about americans visiting the moon.
Here is a handy illustration from the perspective of Electric Universe which I consider as a valid and elegant description of the physical Universe:

Good night, sleep tight friends.
Kent
Good morning. I sense hope in the air along with a lingering despair. There are good signs of change. Gathering here at this cafe is one. We seem to be mirroring a present day reality in real time. I’m feeling that we have the ingredients to make a vital contribution to achieving our goal of stopping war and initiating a new deal that is as old as the peaceful hills.
I focus on ideas since I believe that “mind” is in the middle as a balancing point of disparate elements. This cafe and vineyard is founded on the idea of “orthodoxy.” That means literally “right doctrine.” If we take that in a non-sectarian way, it means order, logos, truth, integration, universality and fulfillment.
I personally come from a tradition that is Catholic, which means universal, the broadest possible application of an idea. This idea links up with and harmonizes with Orthodox. True, there is a fight going on between the two notions on a lower level, but at least there is contact and grounds for a renewed understanding.
The idea of Politics comes into play (comes in to play) with Orthodoxy and Catholic. Politics is the art of the possible. Polis means a body of citizens or a city-state. This idea leads to this Vineyard Cafe which is a modern, virtual gathering of people who have minds attuned to the ideas and desires involved in orthodoxy, catholic universality, and that kind of politics.
From these ideas there is an as yet unnamed seed growing in the springtime air. Naming it might also kill it since it is by no means rooted yet. It is necessary to keep hope alive.
We feel things that we cannot mentally identify. Here enters onto the stage the finer arts of intuition, poetry, music, dancing and matters that build a sustainable culture. Life appears in commonality and ordinariness. Some call it this and some call it that. It feels “right” (or orthodox), “universal” (or catholic) and seems tenuous but possible (political).
Signs of something new appear like sprouts in the conversation here, like Trump and Tilllerson being on the same page, and Russia, China and the US beating the odds predicted by the nay-sayers. This is noted and then quickly qualified and downgraded on this cafe scorecard, lest it breed false hope and crush incipient dreams.
Good ideas with potential to grow have hard shells of skepticism for a reason. They must be tested in the soil of reality. The haters and fear-mongers play their roles and call forth reasonable moderators from the shadows into the marketplace arena of ideas. Every light has its shadow.
Still, the idea of universality within particularity survives. Science comes into play with theories of holism and quantum strangeness which shakes up the old and outworn and opens the door to fresh air. The old scriptures speak of all being connected and make overtures to modern science theories.
These hidden developments trickle down to small grooves that hold enough moisture long enough for individuals to sense that they count after all, as they recall that “every hair is numbered” in one tradition and E = mc2 in another. Visions appear here and there. Setbacks occur and suddenly breakthroughs start happening everywhere.
Black swans like the internet appear and change the whole ball game and those in last place begin a winning streak that propels them to the top; not however without being tested every step of the way. Some freak out and double down. Doom and gloom threatens to destroy all. And yet, the hand of “final solutions” is held back.
Something “orthodox” or right is happening. We know not what it is. We cannot pin it down. It insists on being free. And yet, human and limited as we are, we need structure and safe zones, even while longing to break bonds and fly free. We remain “waves and particles,” globalist and nationalist and human and divine. We play a game while a game plays with us.
Gaming is gamboling about
Frolicking, jumping for joy
Enjoying and amusing oneself
In a gambit of chance
The game ball going to and fro
Back and forth, up and down
Will it go in or stay out
Hit or miss, win or lose
A bouncing ball gambling
On a roulette wheel of possibilities
The tighter the tension
And evener the odds
The sweeter the play
All the world’s a gameboard
For high and low rollers
The king is with the queen
The jack is in the box
I’m right on the edge
Following a thin line
The only way I’ll ever win
Is to go on in, sink or swim
The vineyard is in bloom. The grapes have yet to appear. The winepress has yet to be trodden. In the cafe, we drink from old wineskins. The new wineskins are being prepared. We look up and read the writing on the wall. You see something all your own and I see you looking at me through the glass darkly.
Orthodoxy, universality and the political art of the possible bonds us together, “we brave few,” facing a tsunami of empire bound for destroying glory. “There is something going on and you don’t know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones?” The poets probe and the analysts poke the beast with a thousand heads.
We have made a beachhead but our D-Day advance on the beaches of Normality suffer the slings and arrows of fickle fortune. Or so it seems in the trenches as the fast bullets fly over the fallen bodies of our comrades in arms. We roll over and gaze at the sky, looking for ideas of strength and wisdom.
What we will and desire strongly enough will appear. That idea is just and true, although we fear to believe it, lest our last hope be crushed with failure. This week in the love calendar year is about “Will,” just above Mind in the development of the spaces within us. Thinking wills it so, to play off the playwright in chief.
It’s now 5 am here and the first glimmer of gray light is showing through the rooster’s crowing and the chirping of the birds. I know it’s a flimsy idea and we long for something more substantial so here’s a little ditty to wile away the time until your dream lover appears in flesh and bone.
It went past my head
When you said
It takes guts
To get out of ruts
I didn’t get what you said
What you meant
To climb over walls
It takes balls
I missed the presage
In your message
You can’t be sure
You must endure
I underplayed
What you relayed
Keep your doubt
Check it out
Now I’m learning
More discerning
Getting up after falls
Going over walls
Takes guts and balls
I don’t know about you but I know what I have to do. I suspect that you do too in that Universal, Catholic and Orthodox way, past all the sectarian screens and screams of fear. For me it’s as predictable and kickable as the hardest hardballs of scientific matter. I call it love. Call it what you will–it’s the same game still, a universal, catholic and political idea whose time has come as it always will.
That translates here and now as time to fire up the woodstove and put a pan of water on the stove, and proceed to do the ordinary things that need to be done, like eating breakfast and cleaning my plate. Keep me posted on how you see things. Should be an interesting day in this multi-dimensional play on the borderlands of the real and the ideal.
Love, Dennis
Leary man, sometimes you’re better than caffeine.
Today my Java’s late, so that makes you the cream.
I’ve got something for y’all (and your yawls and ketches too)
We’ll soon see if it floats your boats or fouls your moats. Who?
You’ll soon see after LaLanne’s man pounds and pummels me
To eject the bad “guys” from my back, shoulders, neck and knee.
90 minutes and I’ll be a new man.
I ain’t fooli’, lyin or pounding sand.
Restored, rebooted, “I’ll be back!”
After my session with my man Jack.
Thanks, Dennis, that was deep, and sweet, and despite myself, I am already feeling less prickly, irritated, and getting more serious. You’ll see.

Crude oil prices sank to lowest level since last November. It looks like all talks among OPEC have been smoke. Someone there is pushing more barrels to markets. On the other hand shale oil production with these prices is nothing but economical suicide. The fact is that when price is under $70/ barrel oil corporate is crumbling (outside Middle East).

http://www.globalresearch.ca/americas-top-scientists-confirm-u-s-goal-now-is-to-conquer-russia-disarming-enemies-with-a-surprise-nuclear-first-strike/5588524
“Hans Kristensen, Matthew McKinzie, and Theodore Postol. Their report continues:
This vast increase in US nuclear targeting capability, which has largely been concealed from the general public, has serious implications for strategic stability and perceptions of US nuclear strategy and intentions.
Russian planners will almost surely see the advance in fuzing capability as empowering an increasingly feasible US preemptive nuclear strike capability — a capability that would require Russia to undertake countermeasures that would further increase the already dangerously high readiness of Russian nuclear forces. Tense nuclear postures based on worst-case planning assumptions already pose the possibility of a nuclear response to false warning of attack. The new kill capability created by super-fuzing increases the tension and the risk that US or Russian nuclear forces will be used in response to early warning of an attack — even when an attack has not occurred. ”
Here are the key points:
1) Russia does not have a functioning space-based infrared early warning system but relies primarily on ground-based early warning radars to detect a US missile attack. Since these radars cannot see over the horizon, Russia has less than half as much early-warning time as the United States. (The United States has about 30 minutes, Russia 15 minutes or less.)
2) The co-authors repeatedly refer to the secretiveness at the top of the American government as one essential source, such as “… which has largely been concealed from the general public …” and “… policymakers outside of the US government (and probably inside the government as well) have completely missed …,” and these passages refer to an ordinary phenomenon in conspiracies at the top of a large criminal operation such as corporate criminality, where only a very small circle of individuals, commonly a half-dozen or even less, are made aware of the operation’s chief strategic objective and of the main tactical means that are being put into place so as to execute the plan.
3) it wouldn’t include the head of every Cabinet department, nor anything nearly so broad as that; but, clearly, since the key decision, to implement the “super-fuze” on “all warheads deployed on US ballistic missile submarines” was made by Obama, he is the principal person reasonably to be blamed for this situation.
4) The more time that passes without Trump’s announcing to the public that he has inherited this morally repulsive operation from his predecessor and is removing all of the super-fuses, the more that Trump himself is taking ownership of Obama’s plan.
5) A landmark event in the process of reconceptualizing such a war as being ‘winnable’, was the publication in 2006 of two articles in the two most prestigious journals of international relations, Foreign Affairs and International Security, both formally introducing the concept of “Nuclear Primacy” or the (alleged) desirability for the U.S. to plan a nuclear conquest of Russia.
6) If the elimination of the threat does not come from the U.S. White House, the culmination of the threat will — regardless of which side strikes first. The decision — either to invade Russia, or else to cancel and condemn America’s decade-plus preparation to do so — can be made only by the U.S. President. If he remains silent about the matter, then Putin can reasonably proceed on the assumption that he’ll have to be the one to strike first. He didn’t place himself in that position; the U.S. regime did.
7) Don’t even try to make jokes of this (“we have heard it many times before bla, bla, bla…”.)

Here are some snippets:
……….
“But the missile defence systems are continuing to be positioned. That means we were right when we said that they are lying to us. Their reasons were not genuine, in reference to the ‘Iranian nuclear threat’. Once again, they lied to us.
“So they built this system and now they are being loaded with missiles.”
He said: “Those capsules into which ’anti-missiles’ are inserted, as I’ve mentioned, they are sea-based on warships which can carry the Tomahawk subsonic cruise missile system.
“One could deploy it to position in a matter of hours and then what kind of ‘anti-missile’ system is that?
“How do we know what kind of missile is in there? All you have to do is change the programme from non-nuclear to nuclear. That’s all it would take.
“This would happen very quickly, and even the Romanian government itself, won’t know what’s going on.
“Do you think they let the Romanians call any shots? Nobody is going to know what is being done – not the Romanians and the Polish won’t either. Do you think I’m not familiar with their strategies?
“From what I can see, we are in grave danger.”
“And from that moment on they will be able to directly threaten Russia’s nuclear potential.
“We know year by year what’s going to happen and they know that we know. It’s only you that they tell tales to, and you spread it to the citizens of your countries.
“Your people, in turn, do not feel a sense of the impending danger – this is what worries me.
“How can you not understand that the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction?”
It even got some western media: http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/722203/US-Russia-Putin-WW3-nuclear-war-vladimir-putin

Is this true ? neonazi network in the german army planning a false flag attack as a syrian terrorist ?
https://www.opednews.com/articles/Neo-Nazi-network-in-German-by-World-Socialist-We-Cruelty_Fascism_Holocaust_Nazis-170505-293.html
” Lieutenant Franco A., 28, was arrested last week after coming to the attention of Austrian police when he sought to retrieve a weapon hidden at the airport in Vienna. It quickly emerged that the officer had been leading a double life. In addition to his activities in the Bundeswehr, Franco A, who does not speak a word of Arabic, had registered as a Syrian refugee and been recognized as such.
He apparently intended to carry out a terror attack under a false flag. A police search of his home uncovered a list of possible targets, which included, together with leftist politicians and activists, Justice Minister Heiko Maas and former German President Joachim Gauck.
Franco A. did not operate alone. The police have recovered shells and handguns from a 24-year-old accomplice, who was also arrested. The Defence Ministry has informed the parliamentary defence committee that the arrested officer may be part of an ultra-right network within the Bundeswehr.
The reaction of the military leadership suggests that this network is far more extensive and reaches much higher than has thus far been revealed. Defence Minister von der Leyen cancelled a planned trip to the US and invited 100 high-ranking military officers to Berlin on Thursday “to discuss the implications and consequences of the accumulated cases in the Bundeswehr.”
It is now clear that, for some time, Franco A.’s superiors were aware of his fascistic views and shielded him. As far back as 2014, his graduate thesis at the French military university Saint-Cyr was rejected on the grounds that it was not a scholarly work, but rather “a radical nationalist, racist appeal,” calling for “existing conditions to be adapted to the alleged natural law of racial purity.” The responsible French general advised Franco A.’s German superiors to sack him, but the latter concluded that he was not a racist. They hushed up the case and promoted his military career. “

I promised something semi-serious so I’d better deliver!
39 minutes of New Secretary of State (100+ days….) speaking internally to the entire US State Department, on C-Span
https://youtu.be/-YD-aHt5qdM
I watched it twice. Once to see what it was and once to provide some time marks where Rex Tillerson. changes topics….or areas of the world he “tours” the world for his department.
I can already imagine reactions ranging from Dennis’ (“Yes! I do have belief mundo, and my beliefs are right more often than they are wrong!”) to Ann, slowing her disappointed flight from the Donald, to maybe turn back and look once more, and not turn into a pillar of salt, to VT and his anti-AngloZIO-Gay Pindo-Talmudo-Satanismo 190 proof hard vitriol which I always like a little nip of, whenever I start to feel credulous naivete creeping into the rear recesses of my brain, about to mug my better judgment.
And Vot Tak might be right, again.
But watch any part of Rex talking shop and tell me if you don’t think improvement might come to the US Department of State after the likes of Kissinger, Albright, Hitlery and Horse face Kerry.
My reaction? Whether this is much better than those other criminal liars, or amazingly superior maskirovka compared to their pathological and obvious lying it looks like this guy Rex has carefully studied Vladimr Putin, and taken a whole lot of notes as to how to speak openly and clearly and motivate entire departments of government to change their ways.
And you don’t turn around the Exxon Valdez super oil tanker in 1000 meters or the US Department of State in 100 or even 180 days. In fact, there might be a several minutes delay between the time the captain turns the rudder hard from dead center to port before you even see the bow start to move, ever so slightly, to starboard.

This is straight Rex Tillerson….no MSM or Alt media (for that matter) or any other “spin”
And that was a relief, at least for me.
I did not intend to make 2/3 of the post bold.
Or misspell “voayage” or “feeadbck”..
Is it possible to end the bold with “Putin” (first phrase only) and correct two mangled spellings??
I won’t make a habit of asking….Thanks
( I was able to correct the spelling for you.MOD)
Thanks! I’ll slow down then, and be less bold,
And check my brakes, lest I fly off the road.

I would recommend that every Chinese viewer on this blog read this article on the US-Turkish attempt to spread terrorism in China. And most importantly view the map in the article. It shows the US plans for China once they have defeated Russia and cleared the way to focus on breaking up China. Their plans for China, if for no other reason, should make China see how important a united Chinese-Russian alliance is for China:

The man Maccy’s had hacked mail and G.B’s been de-chain mailed from EU, oh for a crystal ball for a future for all.

William Ernest Henley (1849–1903)
INVICTUS
Out of the night which covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul
Thank you for providing this poem by William Ernest Henley, I like it very much.

@Bro 93
I have to thank you publicly for the last cafe poem about the waltz, back then I wrote a longer comment but before finished, a lightning has shut down my computer. C’est la Vie.
De nada, ioan. (You’re welcome, in spanish…literally “of nothing”…i.e. “think nothing of it”).
Sorry, too busy for answering every private email. But I read your technical advice about posting self-produced audio and was thinking about it.
Poetry is actually much better heard than read in a book silently. This is why recitation is important, and by memory is best….but one starts with readings.
What I wanted to say is that your voice is quite rich and added amazing richness to your waltz poem. So we could work on the technical challenges of recording and posting some of the best stuff.
My personal opinion is that those of us who know two or more languages apparently have a big advantage, as reciters of poetry or readings in general because when one has more languages in their repertoire than just one, that individual (in my experience) is much more conscious of diction, pronunciation and other subtleties of spoken language, than the more typical person that is not very conscious of how they are speaking, enunciating, etc. compared to multi-lengual persons….
Before the Moveable Feast Cafe I had no habit of regularly writing verse, but a few decades of reciting it. Leary and you are to blame for my “poems” which have become almost an addiction which is hard to quit, because as lame as some of them are, many of them actually “make my day”. I’m sure you and a few other people here know what I mean.
Recitation-wise, I have had several poems memorized for a long time, mostly Shelley and Keats.
Appreciators of poetry say I recite well, but I must observe that our own voices sound stranger to us than they do to others, because we are not used to hearing ourselves from a recorded source, instead of from our own throat, lips, sinuses, etc. So, if you are not used to your own voice yet on recording…it is rich, appealing. IMCO….with the C standing for “candid”. In My Candid Opinion….
I have a tall order: To repeat and perhaps equal one recitation of a Keats sonnet delivered 15 years ago, or so, that stood out the most. Recited for an intimate group of readers and reciters of poetry, no more than a dozen persons, taking turns reading and reciting and discussing poems and delivery of the poems.
Sometimes you hit something just right. The right poem for the moment. The right breathing. The right insight. The right volume. The right phrasing, rythm, pace, color, emotion, etc, etc.
At the end of the last word, there was a stunned silence for 20 seconds or so. And then someone finally said “Wow!”
An animated discussion followed, discussing the gem of a poem, that fortunate circumstances had facilitated and rendered powerfully intelligible to a dozen people, and myself, to an added degree, through its socialization..
I say “fortunate” because I was invited to dinner by a few of the people that were participating that morning, as they wanted to enjoy the gem again. And the attempt to replicate the morning recitation came nowhere close!!!
And everyone appreciated the attempt, but where the morning spontaneity, looseness, and naturalness was rated 10, the evening delivery was ok, but no more than a 6 or 7 despite or maybe because of trying harder to do it well. And it was obvious to everyone, including myself, that the magic in the morning was not something easily mastered, on demand.
Oldie, but goodie. Might be a repeat. Keeping track of where i have posted what is in itself a difficult task.
Nevermind, and forget the hairstyle and clothes.

I must say this cafe is giving me an education I never got in school. Kind of a watering hole where elephants in the room gather. Build it and they will come. A vineyard where lovers come together to turn the world into a wine tasting bar of grace. Thanks to one and all for this precious gift.
I took notes of the conversation since I last posted above.
mundomaniac led me into Jung’s depth psychology and to Remo F. Roth’s “The Archetype of the Holy Wedding in Alchemy and in the Unconscious of Modern Man.” This comes at a needed time when I’m exploring the type “communal sex” as a Holy Marriage (Hierosgamos) to the Lover who is all of us as lovers, within a Love Bower a la the Song of Songs of Solomon.
It is not an easy thing because it is so easily misunderstood in our culture which sadly has largely lost the sense of the sacred, much less sacred sex. I feel that sex is where it’s at if we are to stop war. Make love, not war.
The “coniunctio sive” is indeed a conjunction of the Moon and the Sun and of our conscious and unconscious. My third conjunction is the lovscious for the Logos and Eros Self. I think it’s related to the “infans solaris.” = the “center of the collective consciousness, but I’m only guessing.
I’m in over my depth but so was Jung in 1953 when he was 78, one year older than I am now. He wrote to Wolfgang Pauli: “The problem of the coniunctio must be kept for the future, it is more than I can cope with…”
Jung threw down the gauntlet which despite my fears, I gingerly take up. I do this through metaphors such as the Love Bower and that bug-a-boo trigger tiger term, “communal sex,” a shock and awe bomb to our repressed culture. I don’t know quite where that leads but I suspect it is to the Holy of Holies. I need this kind of depth psyche for dummies to keep from going off the deep end.
I am intrigued by the “Rosarium Philosophorum” which I reduce to “Rosary of Philosopy.” I am familiar with the Catholic rosary beads but not so much with the association to the chakra system of seven. I also like the notion of the micro and macrocosm where one individual person is the micro of the whole universe. I don’t get the link to UFO abductions and Twin Towers but there probably is one in the depths of the unconscious. Reminds me of Bro’s numerology about 9/11 and the number 93.
I am curious about the “Vinculum Amoris” band of love idea and the God – Goddess – Mercury (messenger link to the Holy Spirit). That ties in with the Christian Trinity. All “affairs of the three.”
This high-falutin lingo is grounded by the “in stercore invenitur” (in the dirt we will find it (the lapis, the gold).
In the early times the soul was seated in the belly, according to depth history which approaches the herstorical center of the vulva as source of all, including the soul.
I’m just saying what comes to mind. Just a peek into the depths of the psyche. My guardian angel for this kind of trip into the dark is love, so I feel safe and protected.
From the sublime (sub-liminal) to the soil, I must thank Bro for the Rex Tillerson talk to the State Department staff. It gives me hope that Trump is for real. If he can pick this kind of quality, it speaks to his own. His organization of thought and value concepts are profound and good. “Deliver on our mission. Human values. Balance. Partner (Putin?) Values and policies. Dialogue. Be free in your thinking. Part of history-making. Clear line of sight. Voyage on a ship (no wonder mate Bro spotted it). Perspective on how we got here.”
Bro is right. Rex has studied Putin. These ideas can be applied to this Vineyard. If the Vineyard ever needs a Chief of Staff, I nominate Bro 93 for the job. He’s got his finger on more hot spots than Paddy can shake a stick at.
If Bro declines the Vineyard job, he can be Charles de Gaul for the Love Army. The La Marseillaise by Mireille Mathieu was inspiring. Gude one, Bro. Your links to Paris as Love Bower reminded me of when I was in Paris with my then wife, who was my guide since she knew four languages, including French. I like France and think it’s a crying shame what’s happening there.
I think Saint Denys (Dennis) is the patron saint of Paris or France so I’m impressed. I liked the churches of Notre Dame and Sacred Heart on the hill, former priest and monk that I am. The Ella and Edith songs are awesome. I was enamored of Simone de Beauvois for her Second Sex philosophy.
That being said, however, feminism has now turned into the worst of matriarchies. After millenia of being persecuted by patriarchy, it is turning with a vengeance on western civilization, abetted by the Zionists who hate the Christians and Romans for destroying their temple (and priesthood, religion) in 70 A.D. These memories go deep which is why the Love Army needs to come stepping in and up to the plate.
As always, Kent’s photos are real thought provokers. That one of Angela Merkel as one of the three naked graces is a coup de gras, later balanced by the Hooters’ Holy Moses and his Ten Commandments, which is why the Love Army introduces the New Ten Commandments, following up Jesus’ two new commandments of love for the Father and the Neighbor.
I was shocked by Uncle Bob’s link to Global Research’s Tony Cartalucci’s article, until I noticed it’s from 2015. From the Trump miracle and Rex Tillerson’s speech noted above, I think there’s been a sea change in foreign policy since two years ago. And yes, I still am a believer in Trump.
Anon thinks materialism reeks but not so his repro of Invictus by William Ernest Henley. Captain of my soul reminds me of Bro’s Carpe Diem, Oh, my captain.
Finally, thanks to Philippa for the “new spring/ dawn dew” poem which brings to mind Cardinal Newman’s “Second Spring.” This vineyard cafe is the “creme de la creme,” whatever happens to Paris and France.
A cat was just scratching my house of plastic and I shewed it away. Then I came in a saw a mouse on my table inside from where the cat was. The cat was doing me a favor but I didn’t see it. Sure hope “curiosity killed the cat” doesn’t apply to me. Should I set the electric trap in here?
Love, Dennis
Micronsphere and Macronsphere
The hunting cat was named Marine,
And the little squealer was Emmanuel,
Who had the brazen rodent gall
To pretend to represent……..Gaul
And brazenly came out of the wall
And climbed up on the table
To steal from France, unstable
The most loot that he is able
For the psychopathic monsters
Of Red Shield and all the minions,
And stupified “mainstream” opinions
Micron minds and mousy Macrons
Hidden in Merkel’s matron apron,
Avoiding Mademoiselle Le Pen Cat
Who might bite and kill Le Petite Rat!
Very nice finish to this hot Cafe for weekend, it fits perfectly with actuality. Let’s see the rats and cats and, later today, the facts. Then we can play with the maths.
Yup, just as we all thought, once again Putin did it since there’s a couple of Russian names in the dump and Cyrillic characters in the metadata. As we all know the only language that uses Cyrillic characters is Russian and only Putin could have ordered such an attack. The overwhelming majority of Latin characters don’t of course count at all.
At least they had the grace to mention that it might just be misdirection.
In other news, if you drive a French car you are French or if a German car then you are German.
Given the French regime’s attitude towards Russia the latter would be quite justified in retaliating in my opinion, however it’s more likely amateur hackers from anywhere, the CIA using the ‘blame Russia’ tag, Gallic histrionics, or no hack at all and internal political whistleblowing.
Book review of Game of Mates, a look at how crony capitalism operates in Oz:
Phil Soos, originally published at LF Economics
This is LF Economics’ first review of a book, entitled Game of Mates: How Favours Bleed the Nation by economists Cameron K. Murray and Paul Frijters. The name is a play upon the wonderful TV series Game of Thrones and rightfully so, given both are about how a small number of wealthy and highly-connected individuals, often operating within a cluster of powerful networks, rig rules, policy, laws and ideology for their personal and class benefit.
Game of Mates is a gold mine of information on the racket of rent extraction for a number of reasons. First, it provides background on how the game slowly evolves (Chapter 1) by contrasting the hard-working Aussie Bruce with the connected insider and rent extractor known as James. By using the power of networking and soft corruption, the wealthy James (the 1%) is able to rip-off Bruce (the public) legally without violating the rule of law.
Second, the book goes on to detail the largest state-backed legal thefts carried out by the corporate sector for the benefit of rentiers. This term means those who obtain rents (unearned wealth and income over and above what is justified by perfectly-competitive markets). Unfortunately, Australia is a haven for robber barons, siphoning massive and illegitimate mountains of rents from the property market (Chapter 2), transportation (Chapter 3), superannuation (Chapter 5), mining (Chapter 7) and banking (Chapter 9) for the benefit of owners and managers.
The gargantuan level of graft which is currently taking place in our economy is not to be underestimated. Australia has the world’s largest tax expenditures to GDP ratio, feeding the property and superannuation industries. Our household debt to GDP ratio is the second-highest, explaining the sky-high land prices and super-profits our state-protected oligopolistic banking industry siphon annually. While there has been much commentary around the banks’ profiteering, it pales into comparison with those generated by the heavily-subsidised, rent-extracting mining industry over the last decade.
Transportation is heavily interconnected with the property market, and has devolved into private monopolistic tax farms, delivering substandard services while charging usurious fees. Private bankers can charge double the interest rates and fees relative to direct public funding (which would actually require no interest costs at all). An additional consequence are the gifts given to property developers and speculators via the uplift of land values around new development sites. The economist Michael Hudson has covered this issue extensively.
Superannuation is a leviathan, taking 9.5% of workers’ pay on the pretext of reducing the burden on the age pension in retirement. Whatever the intentions of the Hawke-Keating government by enacting this scheme, it now exists for two reasons: the system allows the parasites in the financial sector to cream off around $25 billion annual in fees and provides a funnel for high-income earners to reduce their taxes (hence the hefty super tax expenditures). Only minor reforms have been enacted to stem the generosity of superannuation.
The perverse polices which promote the upwards redistribution of wealth are achieved legally by exploiting grey areas within politics, law and regulation (Chapters 4 and 8). Soft corruption is quite distinct to the issue that we focus on, namely control fraud. This is the outright and illegitimate breaking of the law where controllers of the firm use the institutions they manage as a weapon and shield to engage in widespread looting. The Australian banking and financial system is an obvious example.
Game of Mates helps to reveal the absurdity of what is falsely called free-market capitalism, as it is thoroughly infected by rent extractors. Recent research has demonstrated that Australia’s private sector is dominated by cartels of monopolists, duopolists and oligopolists to an even greater extent than the US, the latter of which is often considered the home of crony capitalism. This is no mean feat.
Whoever said there is no such thing as a free lunch (perhaps it was Milton Friedman or someone he quoted) is speaking an utter absurdity. The term ‘free lunch’ doesn’t do justice in describing the epic levels of legal grift in our economy. Indeed, it should be termed ‘free banquets’ as we argued in our article Australia’s Real Lifters and Leaners.
The process of extracting free banquets has gained pace since the neo-liberal reformation of the economy by the Hawke-Keating government, lurching from the centre-left to the centre-right on economy policy during the 1980s. The Howard government continued and magnified these rackets when in power between 1996 and 2007. It should be important to note that these policies can hardly be termed ‘neo-liberal’ when they are not new and often have little to do with economic liberalisation. Perhaps neo-feudal capitalism is a better term.
Unfortunately, the Rudd and Gillard governments did little to reverse this deleterious state of affairs. The current batch of statist reactionaries in power have every interest in continuing the game, while attempting to attack marginalised and disadvantaged groups at every turn, though the leadership is floundering. Abbott (King Joffrey) is gone, Turnbull is in the process of committing suicide (King Tommen), so who will rise up and take power like Queen Cersei?
The reactionary narrative is necessary to divert attention away from those who benefit from Australia’s far larger welfare system as the government runs two welfare systems. The first and much smaller one is the social welfare system that assists those who are in need. In contrast, the far larger welfare system provides assistance to the wealthy, based on inverted principles: those who need assistance the least get the most.
This capitalist welfare system is composed of unearned wealth and income, extracted from the public and passed down tax-free to the next generation of the 1% who continue the game of neo-feudalism. For these vested interests, the game consists of a virtuous positive feedback loop between wealth and rent-seeking.
The Game of Mates is about detailing the methods of redistribution from the poor, labour, productive competitive business and the environment into the pockets of those who benefit the most from non-work. There are some data on how much the wealthy steal from everyone else (Chapter 13). Hint: the redistributions are massive in scale and yet do not quantify the full extent of the rent extraction taking place.
In addition, apart from criticising the upwards redistribution of wealth, they advocate solutions to rectifying these problems (Chapter 14). This can be done by reclaiming the value of the free banquets for the public, disrupting the coordination and networks used by rentiers, and shattering the myths peddled to justify their wholesale theft.
This book is a very timely addition to the emerging research in Australia and elsewhere which explains the processes and estimates the amount of wealth and income siphoned off by these schemes of legal theft. At 204 pages, it is not overly long and is makes for an easy read. Fortunately, the authors avoid the often opaque writing style and jargon often found in the economics and financial academic literature.
If one wants to understand how the country is being looted by the minority of the opulent for their own benefit, look no further.
