My essay on Oliver Stone, Putin, and Amy Goodman.
http://www.sapientrecords.com/essays/Watching_Putin.pdf
Thanks very much for this. Now I want to find and watch the interviews.
Mujo, the book is good too, plus it includes references where Stone checked the support for Putin’s comments.
Really good read.
Thanks IEUSA.
IEUSA
Great review. I think Stone and Putin may share more of the same talent than you referred to, though. Both made their way through very hostile territory to get to where they are now and both did so due to their own abilities.
As for amy goodman, she is a poster grrrrrrl for zionazi corruption and subversion and true to form of that insecure perversion, a psychopathic control freak, as well.
Good essay.
Both men, OS and VP, are soldiers. OS USMC, and of course KGB et sec is a military structure.
Each has conquered his demons, fears. Each is brave and each has courage and each is pretty smart.
They know war – and want to avoid it.
These are substantial qualities, and pregnant with potential, as the essay and the interviews demonstrate.

You guys are the greatest! As David Lee Roth would say, “(fill in city name here, aka Sakerland) is the rock n’ roll capitol of the wooorrrrllllddd!”
Sir, I highly enjoyed your essay. Thank you very much.
Enjoyable to read. Thanks for another take on the sad state of our media.
Hacking Shadowplay: ‘Guccifer’ Claims ‘Guccifer 2.0’ is US Government Entity
https://sputniknews.com/world/201708131056418286-guccifer-us-government-scheme/
“The Eastern European hacker known as “Guccifer” has reached out to US reporters from prison in Romania to argue the case that he should stay where he is, and not be sent to America. He also speculated that Guccifer 2.0 is a scheme orchestrated by the National Security Agency and US State Department.
On Friday, Lazar told Fox News senior executive producer Pamela Browne that in an upcoming court hearing in Romania he would be asking to serve his second sentence in his native country, where his wife and family live.
During the interview, Lazar asserted that he believed Guccifer 2.0, the hacker behind multiple US Democratic National Committee (DNC) leaks, to be a fabrication by the US government — an “inside job.” He said the idea came from one of his State Department handlers during his extradition plane ride to the US in spring 2016. The government employee, assigned to make sure Lazar arrived safely to an American jail, mentioned: “What would your opinion be if another Guccifer showed up?”
“I think Guccifer two-zero is something made from some guys at the State Department. Some guys from the cyber command of the NSA, and some guys from the Vault, Vault 7 of the CIA…I’m in this business for sort of 15 years now, this is my take,” Lazar said.
“The Russians are more skillful than this to let tracks in the documents [point] to them…so this is made by the other guys who wanted [to point] to the Russians.”
Sounds quite plausible. Hackers take a certain pride about their names. It’s like a brand. The objective is to become known, yet remain anonymous. “Guccifer” is a name that quite literally combines a brand name with a personification of evil. There’s a cleverness and a humor to this moniker.
Given this sort of ethos, what sort of self-respecting hacker would copy the name of another, more famous hacker (in jail, even), and just add “2.0”? It would be like aspiring to fame as a street artist, but calling yourself “Banksy 2.0”.
So, yeah, “Guccifer 2.0” comes across more like the work of some un-creative intel types, trying to strike a pose.
Anon and Vot certainly hit the nail on the head. It’s rare to see the spooks come up with anything resembling a slightly original idea. Peter principal at work?
Korea? Didn’t work, try again in Vietnam. Fifteen years in Afghanistan? Who’s counting? And how about arming anyone, simply anyone, who will fight as a merc for our corporate needs. Now there’s a masterpiece.
When you fail, hire propaganda artists all over the world to cover for you. When, after fifty years, cracks appear in this edifice, double down and try not to have an original thought. It’s not just illuminated evil geniuses ruining our world, but armies of total incompetents.
At Least 1 Killed, Over 30 Injured in Charlottesville Far-Right Violence
https://sputniknews.com/us/201708121056416038-charlottesville-killed-injured/
“At least one person was killed and over 30 were injured on Saturday in the US city of Charlottesville, Virginia, where violent clashes between far-right nationalists and counter-protesters have been continuing since morning, city authorities said.
Earlier in the day, a car ran into a crowd of protesters in the city causing multiple injuries. According to media reports, the police detained the driver.
Video of car hitting anti-racist protestors. Let there be no confusion: this was deliberate terrorism. My prayers with victims. Stay home. pic.twitter.com/MUOZs71Pf4
— Brennan Gilmore (@brennanmgilmore) August 12, 2017
The governor of Virginia declared a state of emergency as thousands of white nationalists joined a violent rally held by Unite the Right in Emancipation Park protesting the removal of a statue honoring Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, which glorifies the era of slavery as critics say.”
Some background on this. Removal of the statue has been inflated into a huge deal. The local clear channel radio (the zionazi “conservative” talk radio xenophobic freakshow) has been promoting the confederate throwbacks opposed to the removal of the statue and framing the issue in the most divisive and xenophobic manner possible.
‘It was an intentional attack’: Eyewitness describes deadly Charlottesville car plowing incident
https://www.rt.com/usa/399437-intentional-attack-eyewitness-virginia/
“It backed up and hit everyone again. There was a girl on the ground and she was trying to get up,” an eyewitness, still shocked from the incident, told Ruptly.
“There was a girl on the ground. She got tore up….she tried to get up,” he continued, describing what happened while repeating his words. The car “didn’t have a license plate.”
“It was an intentional terrorist attack,” he concluded.”
Removal of statues seems very trendy these days. First Poland removing Soviet statues, now USA removing Confederates statues…
That is how I see it too. There is a lot of irony in all this. The reason the US was able to “heal” after the civil war. Was the acceptance of the Confederates as fellow Americans. And that honoring the military dead of that war on all sides was the key to keeping unity in the US. Today’s “iconoclasts” add to the irony By removing statues to Lee. He was the main Confederate General that after the war worked to rebuild US unity. He had “before” the war freed his familiy’s slaves (he came from an elite family in Virginia’s history) He didn’t support slavery. And sided with the Confederacy over the states rights to rule themselves. He was offered the command of the Union army by Lincoln before the war broke out. And refused it over loyalty to his home state. He accepted the emancipation and the idea of equally after the war. There is a famous case of when an ex-slave when to a “white church” and the people there were “horrified” he got up and when and stood beside him and calmed the situation. To dishonor his memory is an outrage to me. My family had sons named after him for three generations. By contrast to the US stupidly today. Russia makes a great (so far successful) effort to blend her history, including some of its worst passages, together. Knowing that history is history, the past. And its best to let it be the past. The identity politics in US society today may very well lead to mass violence and a new war. Once the majority nationality realizes that their “own” identity is in mortal danger. Then all bets are off over the violence of their response. So far they have shown far more restraint that I thought they would. But it can’t be expected to last forever.
I find that very strange too, its our collective history, warts and all— and attempting to airbrush the bits considered dubious out of history is, above all, dishonest.
I visited Russia some years ago and the stand out impression I carried away was the gloriously monumental statuary (along with the Moscow Metro) that is unique to that country.Truly fabulous stuff that only a philistine would wreck.
As far as I know, the attacker was an ‘Antifa’ operative.
Who deliberately rammed his car into a girl and killed her.
So I wouldn’t characterise the violence in such an equivocal manner as Sputniknews.com.
How do we know Antifa?
Any sources on this?
Breitbart – so I guess it isn’t a :surporise: :-=)
World Socialist Website says he was a far – right operative.
(I posted that link but it hasn’t shown up.)
So the ‘reporting’ reflects the bias of the media invloved.
My own take is a mentally-unstable individual whose ‘politics’ have no coherent ideological commitment.
Or a provocateur whose agenda is unknown – possibly not even to him. A patsy for others.
State of emergency has been reported, so who knows if it was by design or accident?
We don’t know enough yet…
E
Most of the news reports I’ve seen quote fields’ mother saying he told her he was going to an alt right rally and she says she assumed it was in support of trump, whom she said was not a white supremacist. She also didn’t think her son was, either, but hadn’t paid much attention to his political views.
I did a quick web search on fields and antifa and found this:
James Alex Fields Jr. Confirmed Driver In Charlottesville Terrorist Attack
http://ir.net/news/politics/126774/james-alex-fields-jr-confirmed-driver-charlottesville-terrorist-attack/
“Social media users originally accused a man named Joel Vangheluwe of being the perpetrator of the attack, but Vangheluwe quickly refuted the claims saying that he had sold the vehicle and was currently at a wedding with his girlfriend. Those on the right continued to push that it was Vangheluwe, calling him a radical leftist ANTIFA member in an effort to portray a picture that those on the left were responsible for this attack. As it turns out, they were wrong, and in fact it appears that the driver was a registered Republican Voter, and likely Trump supporter.”
That fits in with what his mother is quoted saying. It doesn’t sound like he planned the attack beforehand, but lost it once there. He’s being charged with 2nd degree murder, so the prosecutor doesn’t have evidence of a planned act. What sent fields over the edge is not yet known, as far as I can see.
Thanks VT.
Gonna go ‘full conspiracy’…..) and why not :-)?
If the original owner of the car really was an Antifa operative, was the sale to Fields part of a psyops?
I know the Antifa groups have among their’ members ‘, former soldiers who have been in Syria (reportedly with the YPG.)
Was there something wrong with the car that caused Fields to lose control?
Because we only have the MSM’ ‘s view that it was deliberate….
Let’s see what else emerges…
I watched a video in which that street was totally clear of other cars, behind the one or two that were rammed, and after the ramming that car accelerated backwards at very high speed down a fairly narrow street for what seemed like over one kilometer. Normal people, I believe, could not do that in the aftermath of an act of mass/violence and murder.
As one can plainly see from watching the videos of the attack, the car accelerates seconds before the impact with the crowd. Then it stops, goes into reverse, and accelerates again at high speed back down the narrow street. So pray tell, what part of the vehicle has to ‘break’ to result in that series of events? I’ll tell you, no mechanical breakage can result in those events. All cars, old and modern, have been designed so that the acceleration system is fail safe, ie if something fails, said failure will result in the car stopping, not accelerating.
But if we go ‘full conspiracy’ as you say, well, then this must mean the perpetrator was an “Antifa” operative? Cause Breitbart is such an impeccable source, and surely no alt-right supporter could do such a thing? Yeah, let’s “see what else emerges”…

It boggles my mind how some people on this blog can call a spade a spade when it comes to NeoNazis in Ukraine, NeoNazis in Palestine, NeoNazis in Syria but when it comes to the same degenerate scum in the US, suddenly some people are all ‘benefit of the doubt’, ‘false flag’, and ‘conspiracy.’ Just because these Nazis were facing off from self-described liberals and probably some homosexuals doesn’t mean that they aren’t Nazis or their ideas any less despicable.
Whoa there dude!
My post was along the lines of idle speculation – no more. My :conspiracy : remark was tongue in cheek,(hough it was killing we are discussing – maybe so much carnage in the Ukraine and Syria is turning me into a jade…)
As for the car, well, I haven’t watched the video – never look at the MSM if I can help it.
I was meandering along the lines of the car being somehow key – as in, tampered with so that perhaps some kind of gas was released slowly (like carbon monoxide for example.)
The driver doesn’t seem to have a history of violence, though I stand to be corrected on that.
It just seems a little too ‘coincidental’ that a neo Nazi would happen to purchase his car from an Antifa operative – Two groups supposedly at the opposite ends of the political spectrum.
Was it through a dealership?
If not, how come they were in contact?
As for the Nazis…. I saw a video on social media which showed a lot of Confederate flags, but no swastikas or other Nazi emblems. A lot of overweight men, many of whom looked more like Hells Angels than Nazis.
The video was an hour long, shot by someone filming the crowds on both sides, where the filmmaker was walking through. Not edited either, as far as I could see.
Both groups had individuals using pepper spray.
Are we witnessing theatre, I wonder?
Because the tell – tale black-clad knapsack toters were scattered about too….
According to the Guardian (that bastion of CIA propaganda) the perpetrator was snapped prior to the deed with his neo-Nazi mates–which doesn’t preclude him from being a patsy undertaking false flag but does tend to confirm the presence of a group of well-known neo-Nazis, complete with insignia, at the event.
I somehow doubt that they posed for the photo-op in their helmets and shields and then quietly went home for their tea, but who really knows?:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/13/charlottesville-james-fields-charged-with-was-pictured-at-neo-nazi-rally-vanguard-america
I trust the Guardian – who were so conveniently to hand to photo the Nazis – ‘reporting’ on this, as much as their Ukraine ‘coverage.’
Such groups can be found anywhere – including for hire.
Meanwhile, here’s an eyewitness account from a Disqus channel owner, who went to film events himself :
First I have to thank all those who expressed concern for my safety yesterday, my kids included. I just want to convey that it’s a surreal feeling having been there, I didn’t feel scared but I have to admit adrenaline was a big factor for me. So maybe I should have had more sense about putting myself right in the middle of both sides. I could say I did this for you folks out there, but that wouldn’t be accurate. I feel like journalism is calling me, it’s what I’m passionate about and it’s what I want to do.
Okay now what I actually witnessed, when I arrived things seemed pretty calm, there was a certain amount of I’ll just call it energy in the air, a police helicopter, (only one) was in the air adding to that feeling. It wasn’t long before BLM and Antifa began to confront the Neo’s and those on the extreme right. They approached Lee Park from the street and at the edge of the park right at steps that led up to the park. The police stood down. Why? Some said that they were out numbered, I don’t buy that they were gathering on side streets which I later observed. So my first thought was that they were just going to let both sides get it out of there system, if they both wanted it so much then just let them do it.
On reflection that doesn’t really scan, that’s not what the police are supposed to do, I have observed these thing in Germany and the police or polizei always put themselves in the middle keeping both sides separated. That wasn’t even attempted yesterday. Why was that? We can only talk about theories and conspiracy’s now after the fact.
Some people want to know how I feel about it. Firstly I’m very sorry for those that lost their lives yesterday, the two police who died in a helicopter accident and the person who was ran over by a car.
I thought the UniteTheRight people had a right to protest peacefully, but they came prepared for a battle. The extreme left I think were the aggressors, that’s what I witnessed, they could have protested near by but they chose to disrupt. In my view they were more at fault.
President Trump, I thought did well to blame both sides, he’s taking a lot of heat even from his own party. But he’s right the Antifa came there looking for a fight and they got that.
Moreover I think the Mayor of Charlottesville is a jack ass, I’ve heard several statements form him and he’s clearly an activist. The Robert E Lee statue should remain and the protesters have every right to preserve that monument
Note:from his history, this commenter appears centre-left politically, even liberal – leaning.
So not likely to gloss over any neonazism.
A comparison between how the zionazi quisling’s in media hypothetically describe the “bad” nazis at Charlottesville and the “good” nazis in the ukraine.
Far-right in US & Ukraine – same problem, different approach
https://www.rt.com/news/399605-far-right-us-ukraine-approach/
Keep in mind Israel was founded by terrorists, a significant portion of the sods were actual nazi sympathizers, most of the rest looked to mussolini as their role model. Now that these freaks run the fascist west, it’s business as usual, nothing has changed much.
All true.
But where you and I appear to differ VT, is this belief that there is any real :grassroots :movement being represented by these apparent foes.
I view Antifa as a professionally – funded and run psyops, and the Richard Spencer :alt right : the necessary ‘antagonist’.
Now we have reports that the *same *individuals provoking violence are showing up on *both *sides.
Why does the media generally focus on the :far right ‘, even characterising populist Conservative nationalism (like le Pen in France) the same way? Note how the grassroots is being tarred with this epithet, even when the majority are not Nazis at all, just want to end the migration crisis.
Why does US oppositional media characterise Antifa as :left:, or other Sorosian groups?
Do you seriously think Soros is a socialist?
What we are witnessing is ‘problem, reaction, solution.’
Theatre.
But what is the goal?
That’s what I want to know.
“hypothetically”
Hypocritically. Goddamned cell phone.
Russia headed back into Afghanistan?
What’s Behind Russia’s Warning of ‘Resorting to Military Force’ in Afghanistan?
https://sputniknews.com/politics/201708121056412734-russia-afghanistan-military/
“Zamir Kabulov, a high rank career diplomat and Russian presidential envoy to Afghanistan, has recently remarked that if the Afghan government and Washington are unable to counter the threat posed by Daesh’s (ISIS/ISL) spread, Russia will resort to military force, Sputnik Afghanistan reported.
The Russian diplomat cited the fact that Daesh continues to strengthen its positions in Afghanistan, which triggers serious concerns in Moscow about the possibility of the spread of instability to the countries of Central Asia near Russia’s borders.
Kabulov also referred to recent reports regarding the alleged delivery of weapons to Daesh extremists by unidentified helicopters.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, in at least three provinces in the north of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan an unidentified aircraft was spotted dropping boxes for Daesh militants. Kabulov noted that the issue was raised by Russian diplomats at a UN Security Council meeting.
The parliament of Afghanistan echoed the envoy’s concerns. Some deputies even went so far as to suggest that the unidentified aircraft may be connected to the United States.
What then did Kabulov mean by referring to Russia’s deployment of military force? Does it mean that Moscow is ready to bring in the military to Afghanistan in order to defeat Daesh?
“The war in Afghanistan is being expanded, in addition to the Taliban and Daesh, new terrorist groups have emerged [in the country]. Let’s see how the situation will unfold,” the general said.
“The relationship between Russia and the US is deteriorating day by day, so the US can use various groups of Islamists to increase pressure on the Russian Federation in order to worsen the situation in the Central Asian states, therefore, Russia is closely monitoring the situation,” Amarkhel assumed.”
I hope that Russia is a little more patient, Pushtu of Afghanistan are eagerly waiting for Indians arrival. Why spoil the party?!
Additional info on the “mystery” helicopters flying into and out of daesh held regions.
Mystery Aviation in Afghanistan: Whose is it?
https://sputniknews.com/asia/201708131056429613-mystery-aviation-afghanistan/
“For now, however, Russia is waiting for the NATO leadership’s reaction to the unidentified aircraft in Afghanistan.
According to some sources, these aircraft are transporting Daesh militants to a number of areas and supplying them with weapons.
The parliament of Afghanistan echoed the envoy’s concerns. Some deputies even went so far as to suggest that the unidentified aircraft may be connected to the United States.
Kabulov also said that Russian diplomats raised the issue of the unidentified aircraft during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, at least in three northern provinces of Afghanistan (Jowzjan, Faryab, Sar-e Pol), were cases seen being dropped from the unidentified aircraft for Daesh militants.
“During an interview on television, I was asked to say that the helicopters belong to Russia that they allegedly help the Taliban. I denied this information, saying that Russia does not have such a need. If they suddenly wanted to do this, they would have used the Amu Darya [river],”Amarhel said.
However, according to the military analyst these helicopters are not unidentified aircraft.
“Everyone knows that the United States and NATO are closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan. The purpose of these flights is to advise and supply the terrorist groups,” Amarhel said.
“But everyone knows that with the help of these helicopters, in addition to supplying Daesh and Taliban, there is the smuggling of precious stones and drugs going on,” the analyst said.
“Nobody controls US and NATO planes that can land at any airfields in the country. They act independently: they can bring anything into Afghanistan, as well as take out what they want,” Amarhel concluded.”
Like in SE Asia during the Vietnam war, the american side would fly in arms and supplies to their mercs and fly out the drugs.

Netanyahu and Family Investigated on Corruption Charges

Found this site through South Front. Goodness there is quite a lot of material on this site. It will take some time to digest it and decide if saker is the right place for me. But thank you for doing it.
I want to share with you an unsubstantiated hypothesis to see if there is any “traction” with it. I would appreciate constructive feedback. Thank you. Perhaps I am wrong and in posting here kind of hoping someone can show me how I am mistaken…
Please leave aside the US centric broken methodology of the Democratic party in the US for the moment. They are focused on the “russia” investigation rabbit hole and playing the blame game at the expense of the American people.
Ask yourself
Who benefits from manipulating the US election to steer towards Mr Trump ?
Who has the bona fides to carry out such work ?
Israel.
Who benefits from a Trump/Kushner presidency ?
Who has had difficult relationships with the past 2 Democratic presidents ?
Netanyahu
Israel and her deep state easily has the ability to carry out such black ops.
The key I feel is Jared Kushner. The short story is that he was raised Orthodox, grandson of death camp survivors who married Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka who converted to his religion. His father was a real estate developer in NY. Nobody will be a better friend to the Likud and other right wing interests in Israel than a Trump presidency with Kushner as his senior advisor.
My final comment will be to say that I am not claiming this is some sort of “jewish” conspiracy. The Internet is full of that kind of claptrap. This is about the deep state of Israel with a deep and sustaining interest in steering the US away from policies which favor her enemies. Both Obama and Clinton did not get along with Bibi, Obama going as far as making “peace” with Iran.
The best way to ensure future good relations between the Likud and the US is to ensure a man like Trump holds the office.
thanks for your time
Hi, and welcome to the cafe.
About this hypothesis, I guess the question I would raise is: do we have some hard evidence of fraud or bribery in the electoral college vote?
It was 304 for Trump, 227 for Clinton — a difference of 77 votes. That’s more than all the votes from Texas and Florida combined, ergo any fraud in the vote would have to have involved electors in at least three different states.
I haven’t looked into this in detail, but I assume that any irregularities in the vote would have been news. Many on the left were brimming over with anger about Trump’s victory, and would have made a big fuss. In the aftermath of Trump’s win, there *was* a lot of noise that the electoral college system was “undemocratic”, but not that it had been manipulated — two very different things.
The election was manipulated by the actions of the Obama Regime…all “honestly” and according to natural mechanisms…people in key loci voted for Trump because of the ruin that the wars have brought to their communities… so they say…
http://www.kansascity.com/news/nation-world/article162082413.html
Battlefield Casualties and Ballot Box Defeat: Did the Bush-Obama Wars Cost Clinton the White House? https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2989040
There’s zero magic about this – people can see the increase in death, poverty, addiction, etc – a general decline is quality – and they didn’t want any more of it…
I agree. Zero magic. The DNC lost because their policies have brought ruin to the middle- and working-classes, yet in their hubris they thought they could just carry on with business as usual. It’s pretty obvious that many people voted with their feet (except to deluded liberals living inside the HuffPo MSM echo chamber).
However, this is not manipulation in the sense that OP was hypothesizing.
The 2016 election had a lot of complex interwoven issues. The media and Democrats initially pushed the Trump candidacy since it was believed that Clinton could defeat him. There was also surely fraud, although evidently not enough to affect the outcome.
However, Trump won since he was able to flip the three crucial states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania all predicted to go to Clinton. In large part, these states were lost due to the incompetency of the Clinton campaign and Trump’s willingness to talk with ordinary voters.
Incredibly, the Clinton campaign appears to have written off Michigan after Sanders’ primary win. She did not even bother to campaign in Wisconsin. In Pennsylvania she seemed to be eager to shut down the remaining coal industry. Trump gave them hope. The Clinton campaign was indulging in crazy fantasies of winning Texas.
These are all “rust belt” states that evidently have had far too much of proclamations from both parties that “the jobs aren’t coming back”. The economic plight of large portions of the populations of these states (and others) is quite desperate. Prosperous states went with Clinton and simply didn’t get it.
The Jewish/Zionist factor is also quite complicated. It’s true that Obama did not endear himself to Netanyahu and the Israeli leadership. And it’s true that Clinton claimed to be running on the premise of “Obama’s third term”. However, it was also obvious that this was simply political posturing to secure the black vote. Clinton was and is far more hawkish and pro-Israel than Obama.
Major Clinton donors included George Soros and Haim Saban among other prominent Jews. Moreover, the US media was heavily pro-Clinton. Interestingly though, the two media outlets that have been most strongly pro-Trump have been the Wall Street Journal and Fox News. These are both Rupert Murdoch properties, a very highly placed Zionist operative. So, it appears to me that both candidates had extensive support from Zionist Jews. However, Trump may be receiving more support from the ultra-Orthodox/Chabad than would normally be the case for a US politician. The frequent concept of Jews as a monolithic community is rather overly-simplistic.
See Nathan Guttman’s article in the Forward:
http://forward.com/news/national/370369/in-100-days-a-new-jewish-elite-rises-under-trump
Jared Kushner and his family appear to have ties to Chabad and the Lubavitcher movement. Trump has also been a contributor according to Haaretz. This is somewhat strange since Kushner is Modern Orthodox, normally not sympathetic to the ultra-Orthodox.

One thing is certain: Israel (and other “deep states” know how to get close to manipulable people and push the right buttons. Vanunu’s abduction was a short term operation; Kushner could easily be a long term one. BUT–what EVIDENCE is there beyond excellent motive?
John Pilger has done great work in unmasking the evils of Western colonialism and imperialism through several decades. For his newest contribution, I will simply say, “Thank you, John, once again”.
He has brought to the public’s attention, in an interview he gave, an enormously important “detail” in the sanctions “against” Russia–one totally unmentioned in news reports (why is that not surprising, since it is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of those sanctions?). That simple fact: Congress declared and Trump signed the U.S. renunciation of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), agreed upon by Michael Gorbachev for the U.S.S.R. and Ronald Reagan for the U.S.A. This treaty effectively ended the Cold War and totally eliminated intermediate range missiles and/or cruise missiles.
By renouncing this treaty, the U.S. has effectively re-started the nuclear arms race and by implication now is clearly asserting that our “leaders” believe a nuclear war can be “won”–and logic would suggest the only way it can be won is with a surprise first-strike attack with enough ABM protection to make retaliation ineffective.
The U.S. recently accused Russia of violating the treaty, presenting zero evidence of same; this perhaps gave a few Representatives and Senators an excuse for this folly.
Placing such missiles and/or cruise missiles on “near-hostile” territory makes a sneak attack simpler and allows much less time for the attacked party to react. Now WHERE could Russia place such sneak-attack weapons? Nowhere in the Western hemisphere. The U.S. of A.? Well, Romania and Poland come to mind, where missile batteries have been planned, and installed, respectively.
This development is incredibly dangerous, not in the short term, but in the next 8-15 years. Russia has currently a great advantage in terms of missile defense. But this Congressional action writes a blank check for the “defense industry” to produce both a more effective defensive system AND an overwhelming numerical superiority in offensive weapons.

Klaatu, the Russian S-500 should be able to take out those missiles launched from Romania before they reach Russian territory. In the longer term, there is the prospect of Nato’s break-up. In the meantime, Russia needs to super-charge the development of her economy and develop trade-ties (in goods and services, not just in arms) with the rest of the world inluding with Africa and South America. Being the world’s producer of organic foods is a great start.
Also increase her population including through immigration. If Russian women are not able to produce more babies, find out why. Go for in-vitro fertilisation. Or allow immigration of women from other countries. Russia needs a population of at least 300 million to stabilise socially and economically.
Prussia/Brandenburg, after the 30 years war (1618-1648) did the same. To rapidly replenish the population, the king opened the door to anyone who would settle in Prussia. He almost literally shoo people to come and settle in Prussia. For a time, German became a minority language in Prussia itself.
Russia needs to replenish her population, especially after the depredation of WW2 and the USSR era. Care to let in a few young Chinese women or two?
“Care to let in a few young Chinese women or two?
Hmmm. Can’t see that going down too well with Chinese men.
China is not that ‘open’ to laowai (sp?), and there is a significant sex – imbalance due to the one child policy, and China’s historical bias towards sons (a common feature of peasant economies, which traditionally relied on sons to work the land).
This imbalance is so acute, one Chinese academic has even advocated gay ‘marriage’ to soak up the surplus of marriage available males. (You can imagine how that went down in still – traditional mores China – like a ton of bricks, basically :-)
So a more practical approach would be to encourage some immigration of Chinese men into Russia – preferably Russian – speaking, and with a more modern ‘egalitarian’ approach to married life:I can’t see Russian women being too accepting of the constraints women have historically being subjected to in China.
True, that’s not the case for young Chinese. But it’s still embedded in the culture that sons are more ‘important’, though it is more subtly expressed. Even Chinese mothers still exhibit a degree of this bias.
So it would be a smart to be aware of these cultural differences, all the better to address them.
Otherwise, the Russian wives of immigrant Chinese men will avoid their in – laws back in China – a shame for a family – oriented society which has historically treated elders with respect. (Aspirationally, if not practically.) Do they want to be deprived of their grandchildren?
The ground could be paved by educating Chinese men in Russian mores, as well as using the soft power of, say wuxia dramas broadcast in Russia to promote Chinese cultural appeal.
(The Chinese government is very weak on :soft power:, despite China’s many civilizational and cultural goldmines.)
My two cents.
Thanks Eimear for the feed-back. I am all for intercultural marriages. My sister married a ‘kwailoh’. And we have years of fun dissing each other, quarreling and making up with the kwailoh over mainly cultural differences! Hahaha, and we are all the more enriched as a result.
But I am really worried for Russian fertility. In China, there is a change in policies and the gender imbalance will be made up fast.
But the one-child policy was not enforceable in the rural areas, only in urban areas. Rural families have as many as 6 children each.
However, I am worried for Russian fertility. My post assume that the problem is with the very beautiful Russian ladies. If so the young Chinese girls can be of help.
But if the problem is with the very handsome Russian men….then I don’t know whether there is a solution.
Also let the Russian Orthodox Church expand into China. That will help a lot of young Chinese both men and women attracted to and adaptable to life in Russia.
Simon,
I hope not. Enough of religious division in the world. China do not need them.
J, religious diversity is good, especially of the right kind. So long as there is a free-market place for religious ideas, much like a large “moveable feast cafe” for all religious ideas. I can’t see that religion can divide unless it is radicalised to impose violently on others. Religion should be a choice. This includes communism which is basically an atheistic religion – something that can only be finally accepted by faith, after all that is said and done to support it.
More and more these days I’m coming to the conclusion that no one really cares about saving the World from annihilation anymore. And that its stupid for me to worry about it too. From regime change color revolutions, mass immigration overruns, political criminals, oligarchs running the show, liberal PC nonsense perverting societies, decline of religion, dying out of peoples, riots and crime, fascists destroying Ukraine,ISIS and the US destroying the MENA,Israeli apartheid too strong to stop, and to top it all off now, nuclear war. I don’t really see a lot to care about saving in this World, that we stood by and let them make.My family and 99.9% of all the rest have zero chance to do anything about it. They’ve constructed the system to leave the common people out. So if the idiots in the West want to “go for the big one”,let them. If I could I’d get on a 3way call with Putin and XI and say “just make damn sure you take them out too.You hear me,you make damn sure you take them out too”.
@Uncle Bob,
I understand your pessimism. Just following the news regularly, trying to keep up with the daily insanity and criminality unfolding in the world, it’s hard to not feel pessimistic. However, many people clearly do care. The discussions here at the cafe would be very different (or maybe not even happening at all?) if no one really cared. Similarly, the liberals who spout “PC nonsense” also care, though their diagnosis of the most important problems in our world differs greatly from that of the participants in the cafe here.
And I agree the chances of major change are very slim, but I don’t see that they’re “zero”. Our world would not have reached where it is today if the chances were zero. It’s true that the current world system has been constructed to exclude the voice of the common people, generally by flattering them that their opinions matter (they don’t, except as a way to conduct market research to sell people more iCrap), but again that doesn’t mean that change is impossible. Changes will happen, one way or another, if only because the current world order cannot sustained. We just don’t yet know how (or when) the cards will fall.
I wouldn’t worry about “annihilation”. There is one Person who will prevent the devil from annihilating the human race and that is Jesus Christ. He is returning soon and if He allows the devil to wipe out mankind, there will be little point for Him to return. But mankind will not be wiped out and Jesus Christ will return and soon!
“I wouldn’t worry about “annihilation””
I would.

Unwin is just as guilty of scientism as Dawkins, Hitchens, & Harris. They insist on their perspectives being universal and are willing to use science’s & logic’s names in vain to try and prove that they’re right.
Einstein, Darwin, Jesus, & Buddha were so much humbler.
Bob Seidensticker Mod Charles Boot • 2 years ago
I don’t know that Jesus was all that humble. He did claim to be God, after all.
“
Jesus Christ proved that He is God by the power of His death and resurrection. If something is true, i.e. if He is truly God Almighty, just proclaiming the fact does not mean that He is not humble.
He also said that all power in Heaven and on Earth is in His hands. So no one on earth or in Heaven can do anything without His permission. So He is indeed the Hope of deliverance for all Mankind. There is nothing the devil and the neocons can do about this.
The neocons and those who thrives on lies and evil may be allowed to ‘succeed’ for a while until their purpose in God’s sight is completed. Then they will be swept away like so much rubbish into the dustbin of history to await their final judgement at the Great White Throne of Jesus Christ.
My good man,
as the main article states, the probability of Jesus Christ being a (or the) deity is approximately zero:
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/crossexamined/2014/04/computing-the-probability-of-god/
While he may have been, in degree, a good man (if he ever existed) it is likely he was bumptuous.
@Anoymous. Jesus DOES NOT say he being God ! Having God as father doesn’t mean literally to be a god also, because that is obviously nonsense, if that entity explicitly declares itself as the sole first entity. But having a father could mean having a root. In that sense we as well CAN say that God is our father, BUT only after prefection. There is a reason why Eve was allowed to eat the forbidden fruit, but it wa her choosing, and by doing so one has to bear the consequences which follow from it, becoming naked and lost. Jesus calls himself Son of man, AND never ‘Son of God’. He again appears(most likely) in John’s Apocalypse towards the end, where John kneels in front of the angel(the one showing him all he sees) after having recognized him. But the angel says to him not to kneel before him because he himself being a sinner !!!
I am a Programmer and work with object-oriented languages (a synthetic mathematical language). In a coherent system one can ALWAYS postulate a root element, in case of a progamming language that root-rlass is mostly empty, just constituting it’s existence. While in the real world the root element by necessity contains ideally(meaning in conception) all child classes. In an ordered universe there MUST be a single root entity, no matter whether there exists relativety in it’s sub parts (which we have because else no development would be possible), and we know ABSOLUTLY certain that the universe changes (and before that, that God exists, because there exists NOT nothing), and therefore GOD changes as well, but yet remains the root entity and eternal and ideally(in conception) unchanged in principle but more fullfilled. Jesus was an angel sent to earth by GOD (whether literally or symbolically DOES NOT really matter, because at the end it’s the same), even as a pure fictional character, THE CREATION has been done, the REVELATION made – it cannot be undone !!!!!!!!! The Son of man has been declared and made MANIFEST for all times to come !!! Even if an ape would have written the book it would not take one jota of it’s truth away. The new Testament is a philosophical text FAR very FAR surpassing the Greeks and EVERYTHING which followed.
I guess Lavrov and Putin knew it since a while. Now, it fully makes sense what Putin repeatedly stated: that Russia knows the timing of NATO upgrades to the missile defense systems with intermediate range attack missiles. And that Russia will blow these defense systems to smithereens the day they get the upgrade.
To me this makes it pretty clear that any NATO decapitation strike will be foiled in its preparation. It serves them well.
Anyways, the arms industry will love it. Nothing increases defense spending more than rebuilding defense complexes immediately upon finishing them (and without having fired a single shot). For the purpose of business, I think we should all agree to go on with this silly game ad infinitum. Looks a lot like Sisyphus rolling the stone uphill, only to loose it and grab it down in the valley again.
@Marcel Leutenegger, You only forget that these decapitation strikes will constitute war. If one thinks the Western World is safe from a big war – the same was said after WWI. If it’s possible it usually happens, the more so if it is fiercly and aggressivly pushed forward. If your reaction times are in the low single digit number minutes, there’s no time left for thinking but instead only for protocols to be followed. There’s is definelty a point of no return in the decision cycle, and that point is met very, very quickly nowadays. Why is the West pushing that agenda ? Simple: THEY ARE ABSOLUTLY READY FOR WAR if the other options fail, atleast that’s their stance since a looong, looong time already. Maybe they are just bluffing – we will know when they equip the forward batteries with 1000 km range missiles as Putin has stated. If they do, THEY ARE PREPARED TO GO ALLOUT no matter what you try to wish. Those in the seat will jump ship shortly before that and relocate to safe places – including their gold, to be ready and emerge as the saviours for the aftermath. And that’s an optimistic scenario, the other one is the one of Nano-Tech Bio-IT-Hybrids in the range of nano-meters – mikro meters – something which TOTALLY DWARFS nukes in potency for killing and/or manipulating billions within seconds. Becoming reality in this century for certain, if the current trend persists. What do you like more ??
I like none of it. Therefore, I strictly forbid the use of my resources for any such folly and criminal act. More fundamentally, I concluded that if humans are stupid enough to keep waring, humanity deserves to go extinct. For this reason, I won’t finance space travel as we simply don’t have any moral or ethical right to populate other planets, even if we could, as long as we are unfit to keep earth a lovely place for thousands of generations.
Regarding the 1000 km range missiles, I count on Russia’s word that they will be destroyed the day they show up in the attack facilities in eastern Europe.
Another blog from inside of Bhutan, the blogger write a lot about Bhutan situation:

WangCha’s new piece about Donglong:

J, very good articles. But what is Xi’s attitude (if any). Or is he keeping his cards close to his chest? If Xi doesn’t move before the 19th Plenum, will it affect his standing?
In the meantime, Indian commenters are ranting and raving all over the place. Have a look at this article by Richard King (Chinese American) and the Indian commenters, which are typical: http://www.atimes.com/india-history-aggressor-china/
HI Simon,
Quick post before I have to run, This weekend is exceptionally quiet on Weibo.
From very start, I have not seen anything from Xi regarding DongLang. Chinese comments are very sarcastic about the situation of Indian squatting on our land refusing to leave. But it is Chinese traditional way of conducting war, so everyone knows but just tired of it and maybe it need a update.
You notice that Xi is talking to Trump about Korea, but not even making a comments about India. I think it tells you on one hand, there is nothing to talking about since their armies soldier squatting on our land, but also I presume how Chinese government think of India BJP.
Indian reports Chinese is building bridge to no-man’s land in western front, look like Chinese want little Tibet back:
Now, Chinese Army begins constructing bridge near LAC in Ladakh
http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/india-china-bridge-ladakh-lac-doklam-plateau/1/1025376.html
This was the Chinese word on the conflict.
No nonsense.

LOL. I like this clip.
Here is a phrase for this situation. It is a Chinese tradition when a situation is progressing into wars. The others may take it as weakness, and bluffing. They are mistaking, we are just giving the enemy max chance to back out, and avoid war(use the first translation):
先禮後兵 —- http://dictionary.pinpinchinese.com/definitions/t/%E5%85%88%E7%A6%AE%E5%BE%8C%E5%85%B5-xianlihoubing
There are a few other phrase government use when war is imminent. I will let people know when I see/hear it.
Someone else come out to say the bridge building did not happen.
There is a video clip of perfect takeoff on Ford with magnetic jump in WeiBo. We still have long way to go.
U.S. Media Silent As Putin Declares Russia GMO-Free As They Prepare To Become Top Producer of Organic Food
http://econewsmedia.com/2017/07/31/utin-declares-russia-gmo-free-become-top-organic-food/
“Most of you know that Russian President Putin has Russia saying “not yet” to GMOs and asserting their national focus on establishing themselves as the world’s largest exporter of organic food, as well as providing their people with healthy non-GMO food.
This wasn’t just a spare of the moment decision either. It came about following years of analyzing the downside to using GMO foods and their overall effects on its consumers. Since there are no biotech industries that thrive there, Russia had no real dog in the fight, so to speak.
Part of Russia’s agricultural system includes small private rural “gardens” that provide produce to the country’s overall welfare. It is estimated that around 40 percent of all vegetable and fruit crops come from that sector alone
As part of Russia’s drive to provide nothing but organic food for itself, as well as other nations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, it is reported that the Kremlin has been awarding land free of charge to farmers or gardeners who pledge to produce only organic fruits and veggies.”
OMG! Putin is a stealth hippie and he is working to convert Russia into a land of hippies. ;-D
This bit brought a smile:
“It continues, “We must fight this. A physically and intellectually disabled population is not in our interests.” According to Dimrty’s recent article on the Kremlin report, Putin or someone involved with the report got fairly creative with this depiction of the average American as an “intensively vaccinated borderline autistic fat man slumped in front of a screen battling a high-fructose corn syrup comedown.”
That generalization may not be that far off. Autism is on the rise in the usa, so is its cousin, Asperger’s syndrome. I suspect, given symptoms of Asperger’s, that a great many of the people commonly referred to as neocons are to a varying degree saddled with Asperger’s. Look up the symptoms and compare these with neocon views and actions.
The problem is not just with the GMO, the massive use of pesticides poses an enormous risk to the health of the people.
I
Along with herbicides and chemical fertilizer. Used to live in small mountain town that had a river running through. Before the river reached the town, it ran through a valley that was farmed, american style. Fish caught in the river were not safe to eat, nor was the water, due to all the contaminants.
Small private “gardens” ? Actually, small family-owned farms run by peasants who tend to be conservative, and (at least in my country) religious. The food is usually organic and seasonal and much tastier. There is nothing “hippie” about that.
Some 20 years ago had a garden (sold since then) and I worked it absolutely free of any chemicals during a period of five years. The vegetables were very tasty (as in my grandma’s garden) but then the neighbors have started to use chemicals which came into my garden by air. My protest was useless because they had produced not for their consumption but for sale in the nearby city and they were not interested whatever logical arguments I’d put on the table and there is no law who will defend my argument in this specific situation – put the blame on the wind and weather… they said. When I come out with the argument of the dangers of water contamination in the wells, they argued again that nobody use the wells anymore for drinking…Lol ! What I wanted to emphasize with this, is that simply people (some of them) are doing the same outrageous things we hear from large farmers are doing. If there is no common sense, what else ?
And no government support for what is right. Which is why its important that the Russian “government” is for natural food.
This cafe allows for something more than pure analytics, which is why I prefer it over the main articles, enlightening as they are. Please allow me to use the recent Saker interview with South Front as illustrative. I asked when the interview happened and Saker replied that it had been yesterday at 1400 his time.
Behind my question was the further question of Saker’s back pain. If he could do such an interview while having back pain, well, to put it in Larchmonter’s words, the Saker has no peer, kind as he is to give equal credit to Brian.
That being said, I am no fan of gurus, and Saker would disavow any such denomination. If I may be so bold, I must question some basic premises of the interview with South Front, excellent as it is on a standard analysis basis. However, as I alluded to with my favoring of this cafe, something else is going on, and “you don’t know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones?”
In my view, that “something else” is critical, not just for understanding, but for “stopping the war of the Empire upon Russia.” Miss that and miss all. The clue is hidden right out in the open. In the case of this website, it is right on the top right corner of the vineyard masthead, called “Orthodox History,” with the icon of Mary and the Child Jesus.
The Saker studies Patristic Theology, the something other than standard analytics. Don’t misunderstand me. I like the Church Fathers. Remember that they had fathers, and we do them a disservice if we fail to “father forth” as they did in developing Christian doctrine.
Christianity and particularly white males with their civilizational values are currently under attack from all sides. That is a very telling political development. It plays out in a focused attack on Russia, as representative of “Orthodox” values. To be orthodox or espousing “right doctrine” is an intolerable independence from opposing hidden doctrines of political power.
An ex-pat like Saker, living in the bowels of empire, is a huge “pain in the back” for the deep state, because he represents sound analysis, plus an intangible and untouchable “mysticism,” portrayed by that icon of Jesus and Mary.
We “cafe crazies” are worse for empire totalitarianism than Bush Senior’s “crazies in the basement,” now risen to the main floors of the White House. Bear in mind that this is happening on a deeper (and higher) level than the Deep State, an area of influence we might call the “Deep, deep state,” for lack of a better term.
It appears to me that the Saker is of two minds. In religious terms, he seems to favor both personal agency and an amorphous impersonality; God as a Person and God as impersonal power. Both are probably true but their relationship is not analyzed. For example, Saker does not think the deep state is a group or groups of persons meeting in private secrecy but somehow a confluence of various players in high places.
As far as I could tell, the moderator’s question of “Who chose Trump?” was never answered. It could not be answered with a mindset that dismisses personal agency. No one chose Trump apparently. It just happened according to some unspecified impersonal reactions among power players. There was no “conspiracy,” say like in the JFK murder, and the subsequent cultural murder of the Inside-Outside 9/11 Job.
No backroom meetings, deals and pay-offs? Unlikely. Personal agency is also downplayed by asserting that the deep state “miscalculated” in the election of Trump. Or that the deep state made a mistake, and is now showing its true colors of making mistake upon mistake. Just what the deep state, assuming it is real, would like us to believe.
The deep state is nothing, if not calculating, with its armies of high paid analysts who are paid not to make mistakes, down to the smallest details, with detailed alternatives for the mistakes that are bound to happen in our human condition. That is why it “hunger and thirsts,” not for justice, but for a technocratic trans-human state where everything is controlled by a power-over mistake-free engine-regime.
Humans with personal agency make mistakes. That’s the flaw in the flow of empire plans. No matter how hard they try to curtail it, that emblem of Jesus and Mary, or Lover and Beloved, will show up in some vineyard or other. And sooner or later, a cafe for the crazies will be necessary as a safety value for the Empire to see what the other side is about.
Admitted by myself, and some perceptive others, I am a fool in the royal court. I go where angels fear to tread, into those black back rooms where shady persons choose the likes of Trump. Like Jesus, Donald is a “sign of contradiction.” Maybe that’s why I instinctively like Trump. I’m secretly like him, a fool, playing many sides against the middle in the art of the big deal.
I’m not afraid to speculate (literally through spectacles of love) about the high-rollers who chose Trump because they think they can control, troll and roll him.
There are the Zionists, who vetted Trump long ago, and slipped an aphrodisiac into his daughter’s drink, as she dined with her future husband. Oh, the blindness of love.
There are the Generals, like Vespasion and his sons Titus and Domitian who crushed and dispersed the Zionists, only to plant the Jewish seed everywhere. Contemporary tripartite generals like Master McMaster, Mad Dog Mattis and Gatekeeper Kelly follow in the wake of Octavian, Anthony and Lepidus. Oh, the kindness of love.
There are the Godists, ruled by the Pontifex Maximus of the Jesuit Vatican, even by those who protest that it isn’t so, yet remaining “Protestants.” You know, the one who Trump and his family visited, dressed in black veils and suits. Oh, the fineness of love.
There are the Venetians who taught their Shylocks the tricks of usury, and who schooled Trump in casinos and hotels, and the roulette wheel of bankruptcy. Oh, the sine-wave of love.
There are the Russians, who love Trump so much they hacked and highjacked him into POTUS, while leaving nary a trace to track. Oh, the winding ways of love.
Then there are the Lovers of the Love Army and Bower who use Trump to turn the world right side up, while leaving nary a trace, other than one cafe crazy. Oh, the high signs of love.
Trump is a Man for All Seasons for a thousand and one reasons. He fills the bill for the role of Man on the Hill and King of the Mountain. He stirs up the passions of love and hate. To think reason can rule passion is most unreasonable. John Henry said that depending on reason is like mooring a battleship with a thread.
No, we fight fire with fire and power with power. The Love Government and its Army and Bower are the Lovers in our time, who developing the ten commandments of Moses, and the two in one commandment of Jesus, bring on the ten new commandments of love for our times.
This vineyard cafe has been chosen as the vehicle of change, so radical and deep that it knows nothing of it, and therefore cannot stop it. It could reject and eject it as a foreign body but it is already too late to stop it. Too many seeds have been scattered.
The Saker “hoped” Trump would act like Putin. He is, but like the young Putin on the streets of Petersburg, or New York. The moderator asked if Trump has allies. Saker said Trump has nobody. He may be overlooking the Love Army and its associated icon of Jesus and Mary; and the angry white males of the American heartland and their military training and guns aplenty.
The masks are coming off. Another civil war in the US is brewing. Trump the man may be consumed but Trump the hero may set the world on fire. This vineyard cafe and Trump are wild cards that can rule or rue the day. It’s high drama that scares the weak-kneed and faint-hearted like me, only proving the point that there is something else afoot.
Trump has to look like an unpredictable fool because he’s in the middle of the deal, where everyone is fooled by a fool. “‘Tis dangerous when the baser nature comes between the pass and fell incensed points of mighty opposites.” (Hamlet). That applies to Trump and to Vineyards.
And to China and Russia. China is engaging in an asymmetric economic expansion, a war by other means, the new “Art of War.” Its Great Wall came down when the Jesuit missionaries arrived with its Khazar mix of Romans and Zealot Zionists. The fall of the Berlin Wall set Russia up for its fall.
As long as Russia, China et alii violate the ten commandments of love regarding meat eating, pet keeping, monogamy marriaging, usury moneying and drug depending, and their progeny, the multi-polar world will go the way of all empires: straight to hell on the obor road of good intentions. Don’t mark my word; just look at the world like a marksman.
The interview participants agree that the world is in stasis now, and that when that stops something else will coalesce and ensue. Ah, there’s the rub and bone of contention. Russia talks to everyone; USia talks to no one. Two mighty opposites. The Love Army and the Love Vineyard are in the middle by divine design, if we are to believe that icon in the upper right corner of our stop the war masthead flag.
Well, I got up at 3:33 am, after lying awake since shortly before 2 am. The moon was shining through gossamer clouds in the still air, as I walked among the geo art, illuminating more clearly than stark moonlight. Now I see the sun is shining through the same diaphanous clouds. A re-mark-able metaphor.
If you can make sense of what I’ve written, you’re more discerning than I. It’s bound to be misunderstood which is why I value a venue like this where misunderstandings can be aired out. I’m just working things out in public because I still live in a republic. That could change for the worse if we don’t talk to each other and iron out our differences.
Each one of us is a personal actor in the Greatest of Games, which is too large for any names, but to accommodate our reliance on reason as arbiter of passion, I choose love as my main mistress. The sun has just now shown herself in my eyes, partially and temporarily blinding me. Cupid is blind, they say, as is love so she can see with her whole and holy body.

“OK, that’s it! That last comment deserves a hard tackle, and I’m ready to take you down, Leary!”
Or something to that effect.
Although I would pay to see that play, I’ll send it to Saker, instead, without any delay!
OK, OK that helmet to the groin was a bit rough. But not nearly as frequent as is deserved.
Sorry Bro 93,
I’m far too long in the tooth for contact team sports (I’m a great admirer of rugby/soccer players’ legs though, not to mention the pins on Rafa Nadal) and tackling Dennis over his obsessions really is like flogging a dead horse….i.e.— pointless. I did tackle him some in a previous incarnation and then quit—utterly pointless.
I was recently watching a fascinating lecture series by a Canadian professor that I thought you would find interesting even if you disagree. He explains that the rules of the games come first, honed and crafted over the ages, long before they are finally codified into laws and ‘brought down from the mountain’–explicitly articulated. Dennis might find it illuminating too, it explains why his personal 10 commandments will never have many, if any, other takers.

Finally, Counterpunch actually posted a class analysis:
https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/08/11/the-terrorism-of-moral-indignation/
They’re a bit late in the game. Counterpunch kind of died with Cockburn. At least Cockburn could hold his whisky and admire and publish people who didn’t agree with him, who made him laugh. He was a transplanted product of the coastal cities who actually made an effort to get into the American heartland. It seems that without Cockburn, there’s no there there at Counterpunch. Thanks for the link anyway.
Oliver Stone was NOT USMC. He was in my unit in Nam, the U.S Army 25th Infantry Division at Cu Chi. I was in 2nd Battalion, 27th Inf Regiment; Stone was in 3rd Battalion, 22nd Inf Regiment.
Thanks, I was misinformed. LZ
Some tips, about camping at Festivals…before you go.
1 – you need a tent. Try putting it up befpre you go in your back garden if you have one.
2. – just because the weather forecast is brilliant and it is summer, it can get incredibly cold at night – so take a pair of socks and if camping in Scotland a hot water bottle.
3. you need something to boil water. do not assume it is available on tap cos it isn’t even if you can find a tap.
4. It gets dark at night…take more than one torch
5. when you arrive and find a place to erect your tent – ask your neighbours – if its O.K. to put your tent up here, and chat to them..they are going to be your neighbours for the next few days.
6. if they really do not know how to put up their tent, help them, before you give them a beer.
7. Food at festivals can be extremely expensive – the people flogging it are trying to make a living too – so take at least some of your own.
8. It is entirely possible to keep fresh food fresh whilst camping, if you pack it in a cool bag – with lots of frozen water (ice) before you go. I use empty plastic milk flagons -about three quarters full (water expands as it freezes) so stick it in your freezer a couple of days before you go.
9. Where you are camping maybe a considerable distance from where the bands are playing…before it gets dark – see if you can find your way home in the sunshine, because its a lot more difficult when its dark.
10. Have a good time, and if someone is completely lost and its 3:00 am invite them into your tent, and make them a cup of coffee.
It will soon be light and your faith in the human race has just been reignited and relit.
Tony
All very good suggestions from someone who’s been there, Tony, thank you! Also, I have to add: If you’re in Denmark at the Roskilde festival, it _will_ get cold at night, and in such circumstances, having a pad or something between your sleeping bag and the earth is the difference between heaven and hell, I suppose. An aside: The Europeans know, or knew, how to run festivals. The Americans do not. Roskilde versus Burning Man, no contest! The only time I went to the multi-layered psy-op called “Burning Man”, people (it is said) died in their tents at night, from lunatics on motorcycles running around the campground, a huge nightmare. Roskilde was a utopia in comparison, with seven stages and a bunch of very drunk vikings who proceeded to destroy the place at the end of the festivities, yet no one died. This was in 1996. Northern European values at their finest, I think, and some kind of miracle.

A great op-ed article on RT concerning North Korea. I agree totally with it. He is a short clip to set the tone :
“North Korea has learnt the brutal lessons of US regime change and will not disarm”
“Will World War III kick off this week because of the bellicose actions of a buffoonish leader with a dodgy hair-cut and his sinister nuclear-armed warmongering rogue state? Or, can Donald Trump and the US be deterred?”
https://www.rt.com/op-edge/399474-north-korea-nuclear-us/
I read somewhere while Kim and Trump snipping at each other, they have been talking for a few month.
John Pilger: On the Beach 2017
[…] Published in 1957 at the height of the Cold War when too many writers were silent or cowed, it is a masterpiece. At first the language suggests a genteel relic; yet nothing I have read on nuclear war is as unyielding in its warning. No book is more urgent.
Some readers will remember the black and white Hollywood film starring Gregory Peck as the US Navy commander who takes his submarine to Australia to await the silent, formless spectre descending on the last of the living world.
I read On the Beach for the first time the other day, finishing it as the US Congress passed a law to wage economic war on Russia, the world’s second most lethal nuclear power. There was no justification for this insane vote, except the promise of plunder.
The “sanctions” are aimed at Europe, too, mainly Germany, which depends on Russian natural gas and on European companies that do legitimate business with Russia. In what passed for debate on Capitol Hill, the more garrulous senators left no doubt that the embargo was designed to force Europe to import expensive American gas.
Their main aim seems to be war – real war. No provocation as extreme can suggest anything else. They seem to crave it, even though Americans have little idea what war is. The Civil War of 1861-5 was the last on their mainland. War is what the United States does to others.
The only nation to have used nuclear weapons against human beings, they have since destroyed scores of governments, many of them democracies, and laid to waste whole societies – the million deaths in Iraq were a …

Came across this documentary on “Propaganda” from PCR website. It was a total surprise, as it is made by North Koreans. I expected lots of B.S., but was shocked by the documentary’s accuracy!

Wow, this is pretty great — thanks for the link!
Indeed, the video seems to be a fine adjunct to any first semester college course in rhetoric, or “journalism” or even some branches of the social studies arena in general…good basic solid dope of how to run the old con game.
I am quite sure they could used it in political science department.
As to origins…one fundamental principle in logic here on Earth is that who said a thing is independent of the objective truth of a thing. It is therefore also 100% dependent on verification.
There is, however, also a hierarchy of “believe-ability”.
These two principle (the latter not elaborated here) are often confused together. This is an error in logic.
They are fully independent principle.
The mooted video seem to qualify as solid – and who said it is irrelevant.
Thanks too, well done!

Just watched that, well worth the time, thanks.
While written a year and half apart, these two articles fit together.
It’s Time to Stop “Supporting Our Troops”: Thirty Million People Killed by U.S. Since the End of World War II
http://www.globalresearch.ca/its-time-to-stop-supporting-our-troops-thirty-million-people-killed-by-u-s-since-end-of-world-war-ii/5495538
First published in December 2015
“As both a West Point graduate and critic of the American Empire, to me the “support our troops” sentiment has long outworn its propagandized welcome. US Empire has been using that contrite expression to brainwash Americans and justify its wars and violence for far too long. It sprang up during this last decade’s protracted war losses in Iraq and Afghanistan. Never was it ever heard during the Vietnam War when our combat veterans returned home feeling defeated and suffering from untreated PTSD symptoms, shunned by a nation that had bitterly turned against them and their war, particularly by their own peer group. Fast forward to four decades and three war defeats later, and our government is still sending Americans off to fight and die inAfghanistan (9800 currently) and Iraq (3500 with another 100 on the way), and now inSyria (50 just proposed with more on the way while war-hawk Bobbsy twins McCain and Graham are calling for 20,000 more troops in Syria). But this century’s wars we keep hearing red, white and blue, flag waving Americans urging us to “support our troops.”
Over the long haul, supporting our troops has resulted in the United States being the most warring, aggressive nation on earth, bar none. As we’re about to enter 2016, our ultraviolent country will be killing other human beings somewhere on this planet for 223 out of the last 240 total years the US has been in existence. That’s 93% of our time as a nation-turned-Empire we’ve been destroying human life. That’s certainly nothing to be proud of. Yet it’s “our troops” who’ve been the murdering culprit. No compassionate, rational person could possibly place blindly obedient support behind such rampantly wanton disregard and contempt for fellow human life.
Another fact that Americans can’t be proud of is knowing that the most warring nation on earth just since World War II alone has murdered up to 30 million people around the globe with an estimated 90% of them being civilians. Having initiated 201 out of the total of 240 armed conflicts from the end of WWII to 2001, it then follows that between those years the US Empire of Chaos and Destruction has murdered 27 million innocent people whose lives have tragically been cut short through no fault of their own for simply living in the wrong place at the wrong time belonging to the wrong ethnic nationality targeted by America’s full spectrum dominance and global superpower hegemony. And that was before the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.”
And the latest from Peter Koenig:
Let’s Save the World – Trump Must Go!
http://www.globalresearch.ca/lets-save-the-world-trump-must-go/5603920
“This morning, the same almost Inhuman Being has not only doubled-up on his threats of fire and fury to the Pyongyang Government, but had the audacity to also menace Venezuela with military intervention – to save lives. He, who – along with his predecessors – have killed tens of millions of people around the world in illegal wars and conflicts, now wants to invade the hydrocarbon-rich neighbor, Venezuela; incidentally almost the only true democracy left in the Americas, and arguably on the globe.
President Trump today refused a phone call from Venezuela’s President Maduro, who probably wanted to explain what the people of Venezuela intended to achieve with this newly voted National Constituent Assembly, the ultimate step towards a true people’s democracy. He did so, perhaps in the hope, a clever man would understand.
To no avail. One of Trump’s aides told Mr. Maduro, his boss would talk to him, once he, President Maduro, reinstated democracy in Venezuela. Imagine! – That coming from the man who is reigning over the biggest, oppressive police state on this globe, using deception and falsehood to brainwash the western world into a heard of sheep; and playing world dictator slaughtering people throughout the planet, only because they want to keep their sovereignty and are not willing to be subjugated by this ridiculous, preposterous caricature of an emperor.”
CIA head says ‘Iran, Hezbollah & Russians’ involved in Venezuela, pose ‘risk’ to US
https://www.rt.com/usa/399501-cia-pompeo-venezuela-hezbollah/
“CIA Director Mike Pompeo claimed Venezuela is overrun with Iranians, Hezbollah, Cubans and Russians in response to questions about Donald Trump’s statements about US military intervention.
“The intelligence makes very clear that the Maduro regime continues to put snipers in towers,” Pompeo said with a laugh, “And do things that are horrible, repressive and the American policy is to work with our Latin American partners to try and restore democracy,” he said.
“Venezuela could very much become a risk for the United States of America. The Cubans are there; the Russians are there, the Iranians, Hezbollah are there. This is something that has a risk of getting to a very very bad place, so America needs to take this very seriously.”
In July, Pompeo suggested the CIA is working on regime change in Venezuela during a talk at the Aspen Security Forum.”
Not just trump, the whole regime needs to go, and I think we all know where.
It seems to me that the many targets of US aggression make a mistake in not allying themselves together. Everyone seems to believe Russia and China will do the job of defense. And as we should be able to see “by now” that clearly isn’t always the case. So it seems to me Iran,Syria,North Korea, and Venezuela (at least those) should be allying themselves together. Their military should form cooperation agreements to work together. Some would say they risk the US attacking them if they do. But I say the US is already either attacking them,or plotting to attack them. So Iran should sent technicians to study North Korean missile technology. The countries should be trading with each other, armaments as well as economic goods. Venezuela should be trading oil for military training and armaments, etc, etc. The US wants to “pick off her enemies one by one”. They would be hard pressed to strike them all at one time if they worked together. And presented a common front against US aggression.
Iran and Syria to ally themselves is natural but how can N.Korea and Venezuela come into such an alliance ? They are very far away from each other geographically, and in the case of N.Korea ideologically. They have one thing in common, as you noted above but not too much else except the two in the ME.
I’m not sure how different the “base” ideology is between Venezuela and North Korea. But still the point is that the “one” thing they have in common should override anything else ,”survival”. And the US wants to destroy them all. If Stalin could work with the US and Britain against Hitler. Or to turn it around,”Aryan” Germany and Asian Japan work together. Then I think those 4 (and others) could work together.
NYT is reporting (via ZH) that the DPRK likely got its latest ICBM tech from the Ukraine, and this because the industry there was thrown into chaos by the US-led coup in Kiev:
NYT Shocking Report: US “Ally” Ukraine Is Source Of North Korean Missile Engines
The irony is pretty rich.
That is an “awesomely” ironic story. I read the NYT story as well. The US regime though, is probably too “thick” to see the delicious irony of it. Talk about opening a “Pandora’s Box”. The US stupidity is a “gift that keeps on giving” I’m afraid. Now if the North Korean’s (let alone the Russians and Chinese) were “really smart” they’d follow that up with some low-level secret funding of the racial strife enveloping the US nowadays. Give them more internally to worry about. So they’ll have less time to destroy the World. But I fear “thickness” isn’t only a US failing.
”Russians and Chinese) were “really smart” they’d follow that up with some low-level secret funding of the racial strife enveloping the US nowadays…..”
i think clinton/soros has that pretty well covered already…
pass the pop corn.
US Intention to Talk to Taliban Yet More Proof of ‘Double Standards’
https://sputniknews.com/asia/201708141056444856-us-talks-taliban/
“After the US invaded Afghanistan, it faced a number of problems and has finally decided to start negotiating with the Taliban. Washington sees such talks as the only way to resolve the crisis. The US was one of the originators of the Taliban. Now the organization is divided into smaller groups, which makes it difficult to control,” Farda told Sputnik Afghanistan.
According to the expert, what the US is doing in Afghanistan is a “policy of double standards.” While reiterating its commitment to peace, Washington, at the same time, wants to achieve geopolitical ambitions in the region.
“The US wants to turn the Taliban against Russia’s peaceful efforts. Moreover, the US involvement has not resolved a single problem in Afghanistan,” Farda said.
Commenting on the current situation in the country, the expert warned there is a risk of a large-scale conflict in the region.
“The reason for the crisis is not the Afghan people. We want peace, but a war is being imposed on us. And this war risks expanding beyond Afghanistan and reaching Russia,” Farda said.
He further suggested that Russia could play the leading role in stabilizing the situation and bringing peace to Afghanistan.”
See also the two articles I posted up thread about Afghanistan and us/nato supplying daesh there.
I’d say it was more proof of desperation than just a “double-standard”. The arrogance of the “indispensable, exceptional” ones is endless. And when they decide they need to talk to the “lesser ones” it means they are desperate and scared of losing.Which would be extremely embarrassing to that “indispensable, and exceptional” military pride. It took them years to get people to forget the Vietnam run away. They don’t want a repeat of that in Afghanistan. They are hoping to do a “Soviet style” pull out. Where it will “look” like they are leaving on their own. Of course the Soviets knew better (and everyone else). But it was “a lot” better looking than the helicopters on the rooftops in Saigon pullout, pushing and punching people to get spots on the copters. Really, really, bad PR photos and video there. So if they can manage “not” to have that scene in Kabul. They’ll even talk to the Taliban.
” ‘The US wants to turn the Taliban against Russia’s peaceful efforts. Moreover, the US involvement has not resolved a single problem in Afghanistan,’ Farda said.”
Andre Vltchek recently spent time in the boonies of Afghanistan, talking to the People. Here is his report. Apparently, the real People of Afghanistan would be very happy to welcome the Russians back into their lives, given the disastrous results of their having been “liberated” from them by the U.S.
https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/08/03/afghanistans-lies-myths-and-legends/
Great article. I remember reading about some of the things he wrote about. One should ask one’s self, “where” are the public infrastructure projects in Afghanistan today being built with Western money, where are the public housing projects in the cities built. Except for some NGO groups in the cities giving out medical treatment. Where are the rural clinics for the Afghans being built. Where are the thousands of Afghan students studying on paid scholarships in the West. Not rich Afghans studying at elite Western schools, subjects in the “humanities”. But regular Afghans studying trades to go back and work in Afghanistan. And training as doctors, engineers, etc,to return to their country and build it. We don’t see that. We see the death, destruction, bombs, military training for soldiers, brought by the West. We hear of the graft, corruption, drug trafficking, child slavery, allowed if not encouraged,by the West. But nothing productive to build the country to survive. What a disgrace we in the West have been in Afghanistan. And most are too stupid to even understand that.I doubt in 20 years time after we leave, there will be few Afghans (if any) that will look back on the West’s time there as anything but horrible for them.
Afghanistan has not been named the place
”where empires go to die” for nothing….it seems to be
living up to that reputation, still.
Just excellent.
This kind of reporting is like a sighting of unicorns these days.
I so admire Vitchek and envy his brilliant fusion of moral intelligence and sharp analysis.
Israeli PM Seeks Powers to Declare War Without Full Gov’t Support – Reports
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201708141056446346-israel-netanyahu-bill-war-military-operations/
“If adopted, the initiative would enable the prime minister to declare war or get approval for military operations without the approval of all members of the Security Cabinet, a special body within the Israeli Cabinet designed to outline defense policies.”
The zionazis continue arranging their little ducks all in place, not just in the zio-colonies, but in the “homeland”, as well.
I always have to smile when seeing stories like that about Israel or the US. Remember all those times Israel and the US didn’t go to war because their Security Councils or Parliaments refused their leaders requests for war. No? Me either. Because it doesn’t happen. They always go to war. Whether they call it that or not, they do “some killin” whenever their leaders want to. If they don’t,its for another reason than objections from their Security Councils or Parliaments.
For Vot Tak, with real gratitude for the opportunity to rattle on a bit more:
I just this morning answered: “What are you rattling on about?” in the Head of Bezos Thread:

I used to read ALL of everything posted on this site.
It was new to me, and at that time I had the time for reading virtually everything here and there were many perspectives here that I wanted to try out.
A few were a little jarring to my American Identity. But thanks in part to my youth overseas and other mitigating factors, I enjoyed the more acidic commentary the most, and survived it easily!
They (Nussiminen, Vot Tak and quite a few more…..) have valuable (jarring can be a good thing!) points Amercans should reflect on, IMHO.
Over on Bezo’s Head, I had some hesitation about mentioning VT in the same context as the popcorn man, some misgivings, because I value his posts, but I went ahead and hit “post a comment” anyway. Hopefully the link in this comment to comment # 32 in that thread offers a reasonable explanation, to some, perhaps.

Cheers. Was simply confused and curious. Replied on the other thread.
Can you believe this, the BBC manages to do a story on the appalling cholera epidemic in Yemen and somehow not mention Saudi Arabia anywhere in the article?

Irony of ironies: Seattle the town with the Socialist mayor actually has the police defend the 1st amendment and taking on Antifa; whereas, Charlottesville, the town of neocon spooks, has the police setting up the protestors to be beaten by Antifa with ensuing chaos and death and, of course, much self righteous blaming, shaming and finger pointing.

The Infowars folks report that the same “activists” show up on both sides during these demos and they have the tapes to prove it. Maybe like the Moscow police—the cops should organize flying squads that enter the melee and nab the key (paid, professional) agitators . Let their CIA masters make their bail!

A Deeper Dive on the Origins of Russia-Gate, and a Deeper Investigation into “What Is The Deep State?”…..and from Where and How Did It Originate??
Once again, “it’s the British, Stupid!”
Oligarchy, that is. Not Tony.
The British Origin of Interference in the USA….it’s British Interference by influence of traitors or fools that promote or imagine, or believe they had better be heard pretending to believe the fraud of “Russian Interference”.
And the VIPS report flank is just the leading flank of many, making the very necessary cancellation of the British System now entirely possible!
Replacing the British System would literally destroy the Empire and save the United States, and the World.
Some weeks ago, Anton Chaitkin’s article was reprinted here in the Vineyard of Saker:
/the-coup-then-and-now-the-enemies-of-humanity-try-to-give-trump-the-jfk-treatment/
I mentioned in the Café open at that time that Mr Chaitkin’s sister Marianna, a passionately anti-Zionist Jew, had introduced me and a couple of dozen others in attendance to the British Origins of the evils of Zionism at a class held @ 1978 or 1979, near Elliot Bay, downtown Seattle, in an old building near the half deserted waterfront. I can still smell the salt air and hear the seagulls.
The now deceased Marianna, I recalled, had had for a couple of decades the married name of Marianna Wertz. She was married, at the time of that class on the British Imperial Origins of Zionism, and her death @ 2 decades later, to William Wertz, a leader, like her brother (and historian) Anton Chaitkin, in the International Caucus of Labor Committees.
Yesterday, William Wertz broke down A Deep Dive On the British Origins of Russia-gate in an interview by Jason Ross, the much younger LaRouche associate that also interviewed Ray McGovern of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity on the forensic evidence proof of “Insider DNC Leak, Not Outsider Hack”.
The “A Deep Dive” interview:

What’s in it?
At 4 minutes: The Alternative to Global Collapse is a 4 Powers Agreement between China, Russia, USA and India that would destroy The Empire.
At 6 min 13 sec: Evidence of British Interference is transparent….The 2016-2017 Timeline
At 11 minutes 3 sec: John McCain gives the MI-6/ GCHQ Roadmap to (fake) “Russian Interference” to the FBI. The “privacy principle” is used to deny documentation of the charges to the Senate Investigative Committee!
15 min 28 sec The corrupt, under investigation Andrew McCabe of the FBI deploys his wife Jill McCabe to run for Virginia State Senate against Sen. Richard Black (who went to Syria and reported his Anti-Empire findings……)….all arranged through pro-Hillary Clinton Virginia Governor McCauliffe, notorious for his mis-handling of the Charlottesville demonstration a few days ago.
18 minute mark: The OBOR Initiative announced in 2014 by Xi IS the alternative to global collapse and war, which will result if any more of British Geopolitics is tolerated by the populations of planet earth, and national leaders. It is THAT alternative, OR more British Geopolitics, Dennis. Get it through your stubborn Irish head!
19 minutes The Pivot of History: Russia
20:24 The Inner Crescent—-surrounding Russia
21 minutes Hitler’s geopolitical theorist Hausofer borrowed his geopolitics from Halford Mackinder and HG Wells…..British Inteligence the both of them.
23: 25 Some say the British Empire exists no longer. How does the British Empire possibly, STILL exist?? It’s goals are anti-human. It is Zeus vs Prometheus….to destroy the sovereign nation state, to reduce the world’s population to a billion or less. HG Wells: “All existing governments are provisional. “We have no need of presidents.”
27:50 Bertrand Russell, The Most Evil Man of the 29th Century, proposes to nuke the USSR when the USA had a monopoly. “You can’t threaten, unless you are prepared to have your bluff called, and follow through, and do the deed. I make no apologies.” (All for the cause of “Peace”, ….read Slavish Submission to Empire….of course.
31 minutes….How the USA lost its better character and became British, an appendage of The Empire. The shift to a British Outlook…. A long arc of History from the confederacy and the assassination of Lincoln arranged by Teddy Roosevelt’s uncle, James Bullock, Chief of Intelligence of the Confederate States of America……(from London!) to the assassination of William McKinley. FDR was an entirely different branch of the Roosevelt’s from Teddy and his Confederate uncle.
35 minutes British Duplicity in WW II When FDR died the British took over.
37: 50 Covert British Operators in the USA. William F Stevenson…Canadian point man for British Intelligence in USA occupied an office on the same floor of the same building as Allen Dulles.
39 minutes The 1946 UK/USA Special Agreement cementing the “Special Relationship”….( and reversing the American Revolution BTW…)…..surveillance of Americans (by the FBI, CIA, etc ) for the benefit of the Empire was called the “Eschelon Program”…..and is still named that.
41 minutes This is far deeper than the Deep State many are just now waking up to. We must make sure the fraudulent British Intelligence concoction of “Russia-gate” falls hard, now.
43 minutes Conclusion. What Americans Should Do Now:
# 1 priority: Realize that the foreign government “interfering Big Time, is the UK, not Russia.
The “Unheard of Crime”…..the forensic evidence clearing Russia and damning British Intelligence is solid, but the criminals rope off the crime scene and their intent is to NOT allow their crime to be investigated!
Collapse the Lie. If that is done then the basis for the Four Powers Agreement (Russia, China, USA, India) solution to Peace vs War that LHL, Jr laid out in 1989 collapses the UK/USA Agreement… the written excuse for having The Empire……..
Many people are less clear on this concept than LaRouche was 28 years ago, but the governments of Russia and China are very clear on it. Americans, and people from India, much, much less so. However, in my personal view 3 out of 4, in other words either USA or India waking up and smelling the coffee, and the real “Evil Empire” The AZ Empire, the present day evolution of the British Empire….. IS DEAD.
# 3 spot for USA is preferable, surer than India there , first. Either would do it, though. Both USA and India, even better, faster, more definitive, more securely enduring.
Easy? No.
Necessary? Yes.
Things That Make Me Go Hmmm….
How did a president elected partly on an anti-war platform turn into this bellicose firing – off – on – all – cylinders Dr Strangeglove?
When he’s not threatening Iran, he’s threatening Venezuela. When he’s not threatening China, he’s threatening DPRK.
According to one report, he asked his NSC advisors three times why nuclear weapons ‘shouldn’t be used, since we have them’?
(Wat???)
Yet Putin says the Trump he spoke with is a very different critter from the public persona.
Could it be that Trump is calling the bluff of the war machine?
Following his’ fire and fury’ volley at DPRK, stocks took a hefty hit. (A little demonstration of what really putting US on official war – footing can do?)
So ‘hmmm’ it is…
Does anyone else have a clue?
I see at least three main interpretations.
(1) The swamp creatures got Trump. They forced him to capitulate and are now manipulating the information he’s given to guide his policies and decisions, or else they threatened him and/or his family. In any case, his position on foreign policy issues is today not terribly different than that of the deep state. We cannot hope for any meaningful pushback against the swamp, as Trump has just become part of it. The Saker has argued for a version of this interpretation.
(2) He’s playing 4D poker. On this interpretation, in fact Trump’s position hasn’t changed too much, but he’s got to appease the swamp creatures or else they will destroy him. What we see is this appeasement in slow motion, including lots of head fakes, double-talking, throwing of bones to attack dogs of the bureaucracy, etc. Many Trump supporters believe this version of what we’re seeing now.
(3) His campaign position was from the start just a posture to get into the WH. I.e., he’s always been fundamentally aligned with the interests of the deep state. This is the “I told you he was a sellout” interpretation.
Maybe it’s some combination of the three — hard to say what’s happening behind the chaos.
As for the situation in Korea, actually I am doubtful the war of words will escalate to a real hot war.
If the DPRK tries to strike first — either against the South, the US, or Japan —, they will have to deal with the US war machine, which will eventually turn their country into a flaming slag heap, choking on depleted uranium waste. If the DPRK tries to go nuclear, and even if they scored an EMP hit against CONUS, the US has 5000+ operational nukes, many in subs, and it would take less than a dozen to definitively end North Korea as a country.
If, OTOH, the US strikes first together with South Korea, they will have to deal with the return fire from thousands of deeply-entrenched howitzers just beyond the DMZ, raining shells on Seoul. If the Vietminh won Dien Bien Phu with fewer than 200 howitzers (up to 105mm) and heavy mortars, a dozen Katyushas, and less than 100 smaller pieces of artillery, imagine what the DPRK’s estimated 2,300 pieces of artillery over 107mm could do to Seoul. And as at Dien Bien Phu, only a quick decision to use tactical nukes (which the French did not want to do) could take out the thousands of heavy artillery pieces raining death on Seoul.
As a number of commentators have pointed out, if the US goes nuclear against the DPRK first, either as a pre-emptive strike or a tactical response, you can be sure the Internet will be flooded with pictures of Korean children who have had their faces melted off. It won’t be like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where the US could control a few film crews and censor the images coming out. The global outrage against the US would be extreme.
The MSM tries to depict the DPRK as crazy, but it’s hard to see them as suicidal. Surely, Kim Jong and his advisors are well aware of this calculus, and this is likely why they have been able to escalate the war of words. They know that they would decide the fate of Seoul, either way.
However, as Pepe Escobar has warned, the US and/or its allies in East Asia could stage a false flag attack. It wouldn’t be the first time war in East Asia was unleashed on false pretenses (e.g., the Mukden Incident). My guess is that if such an event took place, it would probably happen in South Korea, where the US has a substantial military presence and could easily cover up the skullduggery. An attack on Guam or Okinawa or any kind of strike involving missiles would be harder to fake.
Thanks Mujo.
Quite a bit to mull over.
Your assessment of the DPRK issue look en point, but it assumes rational actors.
Although imperialism has its logic (power, wealth, control) the danger is hubris. The Swamp critters may believe they have gamed every outcome, when reality is a black Swan, whether major or minor, that acts as a ripping point.
My biggest worry is that the ‘crazies in the basement’ are only the tip of the iceberg : that imperial logic (aka the global financial system) is driving us to world war. And, contrary to the delusions of the globalist prepppers, no one will emerge unscathed.
Who knows, perhaps a percentage even view Mccarthy ”s’ The Road’ as Utopia? Nihilism, like psychopathy and narcissism is one of the salient features of elite psychology.
The fate of the globe is in the hands of pathologically – formed mal psychologies in the West (especial US, UK and Israel.)
Are Putin and Xi enough counterweight?
I pray so.
I don’t think the N.Koreans will touch the nuclear button and the same think is valuable for the US, that would be a suicide for both : S.Korea would be automatically contaminated and China as well. Even parts of Russia in that area. That would mean a nuclear world war. If there will be war, that will be without nuclear weapons. I think, it is pretty clear that for the US the main target is China (as seen in the latest economic “revelations” made by Trump) Of course, making America great again, odes imply to get rid off of OBOR, hence China, by disrupting, delaying, slowing down or make it even impossible to achieve. The war being fought far from the US mainland, why use nuclear weapons to get a symmetrical response in kind form China and Russia or N.Korea on US territory ?

Forget the nazis and antifa actors, they are zionazi theater. Part of the psywar used to keep their colonials chasing their own, or each other’s tails. What you are seeing in the zio-gay media is mostly what the real issue here is not about. Incidentally, trump’s initial comment on the attack was designed to help create the “theater”. People like to dismiss trump as a buffoon, but his handlers are running a very well researched psywar campaign. And contrary to the constantly repeated refrain, trump is definitely a willing participant of this psywar.
There actually is a grassroots movement behind the confederate monument controversy and it has been on for a long time. This is a continuation of the civil rights movement.
The confederates lost the civil war, but within 20 years they essentially reinstated their slavocracy, and until the 1960s, they also won the war of influence. The confederate history and view point dominated. To a large part, it still does.
All these confederate monuments throughout the country are part of that confederate domination of the message. They help reinforce the confederate dominance of the message and the confederate world view. Think of this confederate dominance of the u.s. political and cultural scene as the predecessor of the current zionazi dominance and you won’t be very much off.
There is a whole lot more to this, and you won’t see the zio-gay even coming close to even alluding to any of it. It’s late here and past my bed time, so I’ll quit here, but to get an understanding what this issue is about, I very strongly recommend these 2 books:
Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong
http://sundown.tougaloo.edu/liesmyteachertoldme.php
Lies Across America: What Our Historic Sites Get Wrong
http://sundown.tougaloo.edu/liesacrossamerica.php
If you are interested in u.s. history, and want to understand why people DO find these confederate icons and the dominating confederate dogma and propaganda they reinforce, were created to specifically reinforce, these books are invaluable primers.
I don’t see it that way at all. I see the statues as honoring our dead. I had both of my great grandparents fight on opposite sides in that war. One of them died in it. And they both were from the South, but took different sides. My family has lived in the US from over a hundred years before the American Revolution. Three generations of my family named their sons with General Lee’s name. The first to honor the General and the others to honor their fathers. The statues were memorials to honor our dead. And helped heal the disunity of that war. I consider today’s attacks on them as an abomination. And an attack on my personal past. I lived through the civil rights movement. And always considered it the right thing. Segregation was an evil in the country. And I’m glad its gone. But attacking the historic past of my people is also an evil. I and my family (at least on one side) ended slavery. And my generation ended segregation. I have no “guilt” over the past. Plenty of regrets, but no “guilt”. Stirring up racial hatred, only fuels hatred back. And creates division. Ukraine is a good example of that. And now Poland too. The first thing that idiots do is attack the historic statues.
Have you read the 2 books I recommended, UB1?
They look pretty PC liberal. You need to remember I grew up in the South in those days (except for a few years abroad) . I know how and why most (maybe not all) of those statues were put up. Many of them were put up by veterans groups (the early ones). Others by the “Sons and Daughters of the ….” groups. Basically the kids and grandkids of the veterans (the middle ones). And some by the states and local governments. Did they honor “the white man”? Sure they did. The white population was 85% of the population back then. Who do you think they were going to honor. Today its still 65% of the population. But the PC liberals think we should all hate our white ancestry, and have eternal white guilt. Sorry,I don’t feel that way.I’m not ashamed of being white.I don’t consider myself “better” than someone else. But not worse either. Like I said I supported the civil rights movement. And I don’t have a problem with putting up “other” statues honoring other people if that’s what people want to do,why not. But I’m not willing to dishonor my people over some BS PC to make Liberals happy.I feel just like people in Donbass did when the Ukie mobs wanted to pull down their statues.I remember hearing a Russian saying that when they are pulling down Lenin’s statue it wasn’t Lenin they meant to attack,it was Russians in general. Its the same way with these statues. They aren’t attacking General Lee by pulling his statue down.Historical knowledge is so bad in the US if someone didn’t tell them they wouldn’t know who Lee was,or which side he fought for. They are attacking white society in the South. And they know that, and so do we. Those of my generation that supported civil rights, supported “equality” for all. Not reverse racism, and eternal liberal PC demands we feel guilt.
UB1
So no, you have not read them and are already prejudiced against them. The author approaches each issue in a very even handed manner and footnotes his sources extensively. To an American, and especially to a confederate mind, such an approach is “pc liberal” because it is not the dogmatic propaganda they are spoon feed from day one.
This dogmatic programming is why Americans remain the most will fully ignorant and the country and the culture are so backward socially.
I guest coming from the South I “must” have a “confederate mind”. Just as a person from Donbass “must” have a Russian mind (leave aside the fact their there are also neo-nazis sometimes from there ). But regardless of that I skimmed over the books And they didn’t look all that even-handed to me. Now for someone that automatically hates the South (as you appear to) then maybe what they said seemed even-handed to you. But as I don’t hate my people as you seem to believe I should. They aren’t all that even handed looking.I don’t ever have a problem acknowledging historical wrongs done in any country (as you may have noticed over the past). But the “key” to that ,is the “any” part. No country I can think of doesn’t have those past wrongs. But I don’t manufacture wrongs to prove a point either. The US empire today (and the past) has done some horrible wrongs. And its a good thing to point them out. But promoting a “reverse” racism as many do,is little different that the racism in the US. You need to search yourself and realize your faults as well. You might start that by telling what nationality you come from. And I’ll be more than happy to “enlighten” you as to wrongs done by that country in the past (and I think you should know by now I can do that). So in closing this I’ll remind you of the saying “let them without sin, cast the first stone”. If you can find anyone like that let me know about them. I doubt you or I,can fit that position.
@ UB1 This may be obvious, but it seems to me that there is a fundamental disconnect in viewpoint on the war. To my knowledge, the real purpose of the Southern secession was simple independence, fundamentally based on economic reasons. For Southerners, symbols of the Confederacy may promote feelings of independence, dignity and a reminder of an historical legacy. In the North, people are taught that the purpose of the war was to end slavery. That’s all. If you’ve been raised to believe this then symbols of the Confederacy are inevitably interpreted as symbols of slavery.
It’s interesting that even today, questioning the motives of President Lincoln or the Federal governments refusal to permit secession remains a hot button issue. Far more so than US involvement in either of the World Wars.
While it was a more complicated issue than some would like to admit. The main cause of the war was the issue of slavery. Those that say otherwise, I think, are trying to cover-up that fact for a modern audience.
The South had several big grievances with the US government. But the overriding one was over slavery. Ironically that fitted into the other grievances neatly. Because the major points to all the others was how much power should rest in the “states governments” as opposed to the “federal government”. And the pro-slavery people were able to conflate the two issues together. By saying slavery was a “state issue”. And that the “federal government” was trying to attack “states rights” by threatening to interfere with it from a “federal level”.
From the 1830’s on, the states rights issue threatened to break-up the US. Even before the slavery divide became as prominent in peoples minds. But by the 1850’s in was very important in the thinking of many people in both sections of the country. And when a confirmed anti-slavery politician (Lincoln) was elected President (with almost totally votes from Northern states) South Carolina seceded from the US.When Lincoln called for federal troops to force South Carolina back into the Union. That was the final straw for the states rights supporters in other Southern states. And they seceded and joined South Carolina. That is way some people can claim it wasn’t slavery that caused the war. But in reality if the slavery issue wasn’t there. Its doubtful that things would have moved to secession and war.
A little known fact is that even though Lincoln was against slavery. He abolished it only in states that seceded. Several slave states that didn’t secede weren’t touched by the abolition until the nation wide abolition near the end of the war. He took the opportunity of the war to abolish slavery in the rebellious areas (and used the excuse that it was a war measure to punish treason. And harm the economy in rebellious states). Most voters even in the North weren’t happy about fighting a war to free slaves. So he covered that by claiming at first it was a war measure only. He was able to stop resistance to it among Northerners and from people in the loyal slave owning states that way.
Error.

I’m glad to see that a real drama movie has been made about Crimea’s reunite with Russia:

The Guardian is reporting it. And of course “dissing” it. And said it would only be shown in Russia and Belarus. I doubt that. I suspect it will be shown in China. And soon or later in the West or the Internet.

What you wrote there is very similar to what is discussed in the Loewen books I recommended. That you dismissed as pc liberal rubbish without reading.
