With a third person being named today …cooperation with “respected”Fontanka website…admission today of an investigative unit in Russia called “conflict intelligence team…”. are there any persons out there who can use the methods they have to unravel this charade?

How does one obtain a copy scan of a passport for example…they must be being fed all this stuff to create this fable to promulgate the agenda from hidden sources that seemed determined to take us down a road of conflict. Do we not have or know of enough experienced I.T. people who can try to duplicate methods they use to check whether they are using real ones….or expose a false methodology …and even expose more truths who these investigative agents being claimed as legitimate are? Even becoming aware of blockages of “corroborative methods ” being used by truly independant investigators could expose who is really using them…protecting them…fabricating all this stuff.Surely?
I can shed light on one question, the copy scan of a passport. I always make a colour copy of mine, on a standard coloured home copier (certified usually but sometimes not) to take abroad in case of loss or theft of the original. It saves time and fumbling for the required details should I need to get a replacement or travel permits in a strange place.
I don’t think my passport has ever been copied at a customs or passport control. The few lines of biometric info is scanned (looked at) by shoving it under a light contraption but the body of the document isn’t copied.
I never surrender the document to someone else for safekeeping and would be very suspicious of anyone who demanded a copy also.
Extremely easy to forge a photocopy of a genuine passport and add in new photos or any other info, I could do it myself with a bit of thought and some sharp scissors, not that I have any intentions that way.
For the rest, I think it a question of who you trust, as in: would you buy a used car from this person? And I wouldn’t trust any of the characters in this preposterous story, or touch any of them with a barge pole.
Things in Russia are getting interesting again, the most interesting they have been since 2014. I hope it is evident to readers that Putin is purposefully sacrificing his own prestige for the sake of his country. Having announced that he will retire in 2024, he is now making a number of unpopular political decisions. He is choosing pragmatic measures that are good for Russian economics and foreign affairs in the short term, but in their popularity will direct Russian voters to a long-term stable path that leads above and beyond himself.
In foreign affairs, we have Putin playing good cop with Israel by referring to the S-200 incident as an “accident” and continuing to call America and Israel Russia’s “partners.” As Saker’s bloggers have noted, this is part of the Syria chess game. The Syria affair is drawing to a close and Putin does not want Israel to bait Russia into dragging it out. This is the short-term goal. But by appearing to appease Israel’s blatant aggression, he reminds ordinary Russians that, despite how Zionists might want to smooth things over, Israel’s goals are not Russia’s goals. Hopefully they will vote accordingly.
Domestic affairs are the same issue. Putin has raised the retirement age to appease the neoliberal trillionaire gods. In the short term, this will make some creditors happy. But the Russian people are thus reminded that no matter how independent Russia seems today, it is still a slave to global capitalism. If you want to see where Russia is going next, don’t look to the decrepit communist party — look to Natalia Poklonskaya, who defied her party by voting NO on raising the retirement age. (Indeed, I like to look to her quite a bit.)
Putin is the most brilliant political leader of our time and he is well aware that his style of appeasement to Western financial and military power will not last long after his retirement. 2018-2024 is going to define the direction Russia takes after Putin. I predict that Russia will be completely inscrutable to the Anglo press by the time this transformation is complete.

Paul — yes, I expect that finding meaningful, truthful information about what’s happening in Russia is going to be a challenge for me and for all of us in the coming years, even if we are able to access their clickbaity “government” news sites to counter Western bias. Everyone knows Natalia from the lovely photos of her, but I only know from personal contacts in the Orthodox world that her stance on the film Matilda (previously covered on The Saker, here) is much more popular in Russia than the Western media or perversity-loving RT and Sputnik make it sound. Furthermore, you can read very interesting posts on her VK blog about her sympathetic attitude towards Kadyrov.
As far as I know, The Saker is the only Western source that is covering this important, emerging side of Russia with a sympathetic, caring eye. There are zero articles about the Matilda issue on Russia Insider or Fort-Russ. I think those sites are too far outside the heart of Russian society.

I listened to the televised speech President Putin gave in explanation of the reason for raising the retirement age.
He spoke of the amount of money required to sustain government payment of pensions from consolidated revenue.
He spoke of Russian revenue, her income, now and projected forward.
He spoke of the demographic valley coming Russia’s way, the number of wage earners and taxes required to sustain the payment of a pension that can sustain a decent standard of living for increasing ratio of pensioners:wage earners.
He pointed out the amount of money taking every ruble from the “wealthy” for pensions would generate [about 3 days worth}, and why this is not a sustainable approach.
He gave lots of verifiable facts, figures, and balance sheet notations along with demographics, and projected PPP of the GDP of Russia’s earnings.
I no-where heard a single mention of him “appeasing neo-liberal Gods”.
Perhaps you could tell us where you derived this analysis, and give some solid evidence for it.
Otherwise you would appear to be trying to present Putin as a man of the sort of character he has not demonstrated at any time during his life; which I find totally contradictory to everything known of all people.

I have to add to my comment, that the things are much more complex. It is clear that Hillary rides one horse, the same old, the Trotzkist one which at present time rules over EU. I’ve felt derelict in my The Internet of Money assignment and haven’t even taken the time to drop in to the Community Clubhouse or whatever it is called, to see if someone else is doing anything on the subject over there. I like the Clubhouse/Community Center idea enough, but I like many more things every waking hour than I could ever give any significant attention to….

Our subjective understanding differs “radically”, obviously.
1. I was only 18 in 1968 and not very interested in such things at the time. The only thing I was conscious of was that I wanted a girlfriend. Maybe 1968 was your “mass strike”, it did not end very well, (Disappointed!!) and you have pouted ever since, determined, like a jilted lover, never to hope or love or really try to think creatively again? Get over it! A flat tire won’t go very far.
2. On the other hand, I am familiar with people who were very active in that period, accomplished a great deal, never gave up or pouted and say that potential for far greater masses of people to move forward and upward in consciousness and intelligence is now upon us……….. and involves far more of the globe than anything in 1968 did. And I can see the difference now in innumerable ways that I did not see (searching very hard!) from 1980 to 2014.

One tiny expression of that is our interchange and contrasting attitude here which people worldwide can listen in on and think about, and MOVE WITH mentally and spiritually…or stay stuck. Their conscious choice! Such things multiplied many hundred or thousandfold exist today…but not in 1968.

I don’t think a mass strike is in progress today in the US, because I don’t see factories, offices, malls, transport, markets, schools, etc. shut down whilst workers are picketing. I don’t see crowds of people on the street discussing the strike. I don’t see big news stories about labor reps meeting with business owners to discuss terms. I don’t see lines of police breaking picket lines to allow scabs to enter and do the jobs of the strikers. I don’t see masses of demonstrators fighting with police over labor issues, everywhere in the country. I don’t see organizations forming to support and connect different smaller strikes into a larger movement.
Neither do I see the conditions for any of the above, at least not in the US.
Please point to specific, concrete labor strikes that are taking place now, that lead you believe a mass strike is happening.

Enormous amounts of face-to-face work goes into organising any mass of people for anything. I cannot see that ever being accomplished to any reasonable outcome by relying on facebook and youtube to spread a message, To organise people you need to gain and hold their attention over a considerable period- until the goal is accomplished.
I think it ludicrous to expect that in a medium where the average attention span is down to what right now? Three minutes?
The best you will be able to organise via the internet is a flash mob, gone in a flash too.
Look at what happened to the Occupy movement a few years ago, then compare it to the recent water protectors actions, who being seasoned protesters, had a clear goal, a realistic view of what they were up against and planned accordingly. That can’t be done over the internet.
In my experience false hope is far worse than none at all. False hope keeps you hanging on, no hope clears the decks so you can start again from a better foundation.
P.S., without a clearly defined common goal, it is more akin to herding cats (i.e. impossible) than organising.

Did you know that Amir Taaki, one of the very first crypto developers went to Syria (first to fight) and now is single-handedly restructuring that area to be economically viable with cryptos in an erstwhile socialistic type of milieu.

– I’m on the fence on asset backed cryptos. This is because I ‘grew up’ in the old crypto world where things were ‘work backed’ and a crypto had to display ‘proof of work’ as part of its validity and reason for existence. So we will see what happens to the Venezuelan Petro crypto. And I have an asset backed crypto, not too much, which is SAND in Russia. But they’re somewhat in a mess now and I should probably write about that – which may be interesting as we’re touching the the Russian business environment. I can only say Oy Vey!
The initial good cryptos are being hammered by regulatory requirements – of course we see anything that the humans do, being gobbled up by the various states. I’m yet again learning how hungry the various states and governments are. They will eat you and me without blinking and in a New York Minute, if we are available for the eating.
We see some other cryptos going the asset backed route (often called stable coins). I like the hard technology backed route but this is just the way I roll. I cannot truly see the necessity of an asset backed crypto – it is misnamed to my view, as it is just a way to have or trade the asset. We have other methods for that, yet the Venezuelan Petro could put another ding in the dollar dominance and that will be something to write home about.
– If anyone is interested I can write about this development and how it is shaping the world of crypto today but that will be hard work so, tell me if you want a bit on the various crypto ‘backings’.
One can kick and scream and tell everyone that cryptos are an invention of the darkest devil out there, but, in a few years time, like the internet now, we will be using cryptos to do our daily grocery buying and our daily economic stuff. I prefer to know what I am in for on a real grassroots level. (Check it out, this comment will age well). Again, if you consider this development in our world something to prepare yourselves for, it is only for the asking and I can put together a list of materials. Again, this is not a ‘drive by shooting’ and needs focus, concentration and study.
Over on the community site we are quietly very busy in the background. Next to go up there is hard public policy training and education for activists. Perhaps real activists and not the screaming elevator type. There is one basic course and a second one dealing with China and Russia specifically in the current space of US full spectrum dominance. Yes, I know Bro begs for patience, hoping that this will change, with the help of the Q Zeitgeist, but I don’t see a peaceful change with the current US admin. Something has to give up ground and it may be kinetic, or as we see today, full spectrum hybrid. I’ll let you know when the course is available. There will be a small cost as this is real solid course materials but any income goes to The Saker and to the course developer.
The other big job that we are working on, is the Saker’s new book which will contain all the writings from around May last year, through to the last analysis of 2018. We’re publishing Auslander’s ‘novels’ in softcover paper copies so if you’re planning gifts for this Christmas period, bear this all in mind. Besides preparing for peace, the reason for existence of the community site is to first support ourselves economically, without supporting the ugly and generally dishonest business dealings of today. We’re also moving to a robotic society and the concepts of Labor and Capital is changing.

After reading Farrell’s Babylon’s Bankster’s which cites Graeber’s Debt: The first 5000 years (have not read) I am beginning to see how Blockchain is analogous with Sumerian money/contracts written on sealed clay tablets. In the Sumerian economy debt never spiraled to ridiculous levels because the sovereign power was able to enforce debt forgiveness through the smashing of tablets. Perhaps the vulnerabilities not to mention backdoors of Blockchain are a design feature.
I would be wary of drawing too close an analogy since the Sumerian system was, as far as we know, so different to the one we currently have to deal with.
There is no notion today from anywhere within our system that debt cancellation could be a good thing in stabilising an economy. The hands on the levers of power seem far too attached (death grip) to our current debt-based capitalist system to even consider an alternative.
I think that the old guard, the current wielders of power, will have to completely die off before anything new can arise and be widely tried and accepted. (Not in anyway suggesting helping them on their way, of course.)
My one experiment with debt cancellation (I decided to be magnaminous in the interests of harmony ) caused the receiver to hate me with the most undying vitriol, threatening me with a court battle claiming, despite a written record, that the debt was in fact a no-strings gift.
Neither a borrower nor a lender be.
