My wife has been listening to Chinese Opera … very loud.
I like Chinese Opera, but my wife does not, so I just asked her what is going on …

That was hard to listen too. Better yet! Here’s Marcelito Pomoy, a Philippino, with a double voice, singing “The Prayer” in English as the Female Soprano Canadian Celine Dione in a duet with himself singing in Italian as the Italian Tenor Andrea Bocelli. It’s an awesome performance by a young man, abandoned at birth by his mother to an alcoholic father, and who was left to fend for himself at age seven. He lived homeless on the streets, supporting himself in any way he could. He sang to himself to avoid loneliness and was eventually told that he had talent that he could use to improve his life. He eventually won a singing contest that “put him on the map”. Hope this you tube link works for you!

… the link works Barry, and overwhelmingly agree.
As someone who as a child watched The McLaughlin Group, I found this link informative. What better way to launder non- and semi- truths not to mention the occasional noble lie, than through free and open discussion.. Opinions are said to be like elbows– everybody has one (or two). merely by having an opinion and expressing it, one fees empowered, part of The Great American Experiment. Nevermind that one actually remains powerless.
Something that I remember being told by someone that I deeply respected: that its all very well having an insight (almost an opinion) but it is pointless until it has been thoroughly tested in the field and has proven its validity. It then becomes a useful tool to keep in your armoury–and you have to take good care of your tools to keep them useful.
There is little point in having tools that you are not able to use or to put into action.
This is a long rant, but I mercifully break it into parts.
2018 End of Year Crypto Rant
On March 27th of this year, Amarynth wrote the first comprehensive article on this website on the subject of this rant …………
.https://saker.community/2018/03/27/crypto-currencies-the-internet-of-money/
…….and you will find her tone much more agreeable and not in the least “rantful”. I don’t expect you to find this rant agreeable, nor do I care if you hate it, but for those that dislike it, but remain with some interest in the subject, please look up her very nice article…..on the coming iteration of the endlessly re-occurring planetary mass transfer of wealth.
That transfer perennially occurs FROM those that enjoy “sitting on” resources under their present control and stopping any change except more egoic control (Empire! That’s hardly “evolutionary”…lol), i.e. from those that have no intention of “getting it”…(except more of the same control) TO at least some of those that “get it” or the implications of it (The Internet of Money) or want to try to get at least the essence of as much of non-trivial subjects….that they have the limited grasp of presently and have had limited time to peer inquiringly into, in the past…..and those that try to comprehend their message.
For purposes of brevity I’ll use “Bitcoin” in this here rant as shorthand for ALL well-constructed (as purported by me or anyone that I know of that I reference…) and enduring crypto-currencies of some useful, socially worthwhile “use case”.
Similarly, even when discussing non-monetized applications of open source, distributed ledger, publically verifiable uses of blockchain, it’s a time saver to just say “Bitcoin”…as a kind of breath-saving, condensed metaphor, using the name of the most famous, well-known use (thus far!) of the blockchain discovery.
“Why bother?”, I can hear 90% of readers of this rant thinking to themselves, interested only in the Greater Good of Mankind, that find any personal gain distasteful, embarrassing…and contrary to their preferred ideological prejudices.
Here’s why: “Everything is related.” And the way most people “think” (read: feel, react emotionally, as programmed, etc, etc ) about “Bitcoin” is all “F-ed up”…really useless…….and it is useful to reflect on that fact when we are living through Another Iteration of The Putrefaction and Collapse of Empire. Complicity, folks!
Personal Responsibility to Think Straight on One Part of the Puzzle transfers to ALL of the Puzzle
There! There’s the gauntlet thrown down at your feet!
Fundamental Premise: The way people all too typicallydon’t think (of course there are exceptions…but those aren’t problems needing attention!) on ANY subject …..has something to do with the existence of all the horrors and sicknesses of society…..and for a better civilizational outcome, Sloppy Thinkers need to be held accountable for not thinking rationally or creatively enough…so they at least struggle to think better, with less ideology, less naïve “belief”, less rigidly brittle skepticism…..and begin to take more seriously the responsibility for employing Reason in their socially and politically shared thoughts, as opposed to Unreason, Prejudice, unhinged emotionalism, and so forth.
I’ll be the first to admit that there are things more important than “Bitcoin” or ANY other form of money, for that matter. But that’s not the point of this rant! What you think about “Bitcoin”, I hold, is far less important than HOW you think (or don’t think) about it and a lot else besides!
And, since most of the opinions I have heard about here and outside of here are smugly ignorant, foolish and downright laughable (some prime examples coming….), couldn’t one or two of you possibly agree that “Bitcoin” is Great Fishing Bait to draw Foolishness and Faulty Thinking out in the open, where it can be hooked, speared, ambushed, slaughtered …”filleted” and served up, for the Common Edification of All, and toward the noble, altruistic end of a Better Society and More Human Civilization???
I hope so! LOL.
Right NOW seems like the Perfect Time to bait the trap, because BTC is down 85% from a year ago ($20,000 to $3,500…more or less)…as though Price means all that much at any particular point in time within a year or two’s time frame. Hint: It doesn’t! It’s the Long View that counts!Personally and societally.
Also, for the one or two persons reading that like to “get” things more or less right, as habit and mental exercise, this Perfect Time ….could pay off handsomely not just in development of strategic mental sharpness…but in assisting the purpose of amarynth’s March 27, 2018 article: For some Friends of the Saker Community to get some of that….. Great Transfer of Wealth….humbly…and without guilt!
But more importantly, to gain understanding of something currently affecting planetary societies and human consciousness….in healthily “disrupting” ways.
And suffer less pain and anxiety and material want as the Great Monetary Reset and thudding collapse of the Petro-Dollar and related FIAT currencies…draws nigh!
However, “This is not investment advice. Do your own research, blah, blah, blah, blah, …..blah!”
ALSO, for the purposes of this article, I could care less if you have 6, 7 or more figures of USD (Petro-Dollar) Personal Net Worth………. or only 3, 2 or less figures of USD (100 dollars to 99 cents) of liquid, investable net worth. You can learn and get practical “Bitcoin” …and thinkingexperience (and know something whereof you think and speak!) for NOTHING, with negligible. And I will demonstrate exactly how to accomplish that miracle, as I wrap this small series of 2 or more End of 2018 Crypto-Rant up.
But it’s time for Quiz Question # 1, already!
Q: Do you suppose the best time to stick your toe in the water (market) is when it is flowing ice cold……or Boiling Hot …like a year ago???
Pay close attention to what my expert witness, Trace Mayer says in the link below about the risk/reward dynamics of the principle of …The Reversion to the Mean.
This is not investment advice, but like Trace, who was early and is now not the least bit worried or defensive, I, though late (tarde….thus undeniably a Crypto-tard and “down” quite a bit from a year ago….) I’m not worried either.
Why?
Reason # 1: Because the positions I have taken in the last 18 months were limited to what I could survive losing, some are actually still up significantly …and for the reasons the expert goes through, I can still reasonably expect recovery to 10X original investment …in the short term…ie 1-2 years, based on past performance of this volatile “space”.
But that’s ho-hum. Reason # 2 is what I really Live For!
Reason # 2: With MANY cryptos down 85% or more from a year ago……those that had a reasonable, average expectancy of 10X rise in the 1-2 year short term …with more adoption and capital entering the market…..after being depressed 90%……NOW have a much more reasonable prospect of 100X rises …in 1-2 years….than they had any other time, all year 2018……and going back deeper into 2017 than December!
“Do the Math.”
But this is NOT investment advice. This is something far, far ,more valuable to yourself and humanity:
This is …….. How To Think Better …Advice.
And now, my featured guest, Trace Mayer:
https://youtu.be/nslcI0XSC0w
TRACE MAYER: Bitcoin Is SUPER-CHEAP – Mayer Multiplier PREDICTS HUGE RALLY! – YouTube
BRO: But ignore price! Focus on Principles, and for those who won’t click, here are a few, less than 8 minutes into Trace’s smiling, pleasant interview:
“It’s still “Early Days”. There are billions of people who don’t get it. You don’t want to do the work, then you’re just going to get wrecked, because you’re operating with inferior tools, inferior ideas and knowledge up in your head. And so, you get out-competed by those that are able to calculate correctly economically. Bitcoin is going to force a new reckoning on the world….
A lot of people get shaken out. I’m in there buying…
If you lack the conviction, good riddance! People are lazy, procrastinating, lacking conviction, they are allocating their resources where they think they can get a better return, and so as this great wealth transfer continues to draw nigh, and as this bear market goes on I am just getting less and less sympathetic to persons on the other side of that trade…because this is a Zero-Sum Game—there are a limited number of Satoshis—I mean like, you are either going to get some OR you’re not, and if you don’t have ANY, and it does become something much bigger…you haven’t hedged yourself…
….right now, we’re going through this price discovery process…..so, people who haven’t availed themselves of this…..I mean like “SORRY!”…if you miss out on another 20 or 30X Bull Run……it’s your own fault this time—it’s your own fault if your retirement account doesn’t have purchasing power on the other side of this—and that’s just the way it’s going to be—-
….and also a lot of people take for granted the generosity and altruism and things that a lot of people in the Bitcoin Community have done, like myself, creating software that you can use it with, speaking about it publically…I mean the wagons are getting circled on this, there’s a lot of disinformation and misinformation out in the space, so it’s becoming harder and harder for people to hone in on signal as opposed to noise…
…and also in a rivalrous situation like this there is an incentive to some to make it very difficult for others to understand this stuff…… right, because THEY want to buy Bitcoin cheap, right? They don’t want YOU to buy it.
People like myself don’tt “believe in Bitcoin” any more than we believe in physics or mathematics—this is not some Bitcoin Cult! Don’t “trust”….Verify! That is the whole Credo of this thing.
It’s like Gravity. Do you “believe” in gravity?? I mean I guess you could believe there’s gravity, but for any practical purpose, if you believe there is Not-Gravity ( Bro: Trace means In your current environment ….I am open to being shown Anti-gravity and how that might work by any available science nerds or space cadets….lol) …..well, Good Luck With That!”
Intermission. If I haven’t ruffled any feathers here in Part One of End of 2018 Crypto Rant, I have failed miserably. AND after intermission, before Year End 2018 I’ll follow up on what I said in the beginning, about the investment in thinking and knowledge, for those of you anywhere in the world reading this who have a little spare time currency to work with …..but not even 3 figures of Empire Petro-Dollar-Euro-Pound Currency to work with…… any time soon!
Onward and upward. Merry Christmas!

In a similar vein, Rick Rule of Sprott USA says that people at investment conferences don’t want speakers to “teach them how to fish, but rather to do the fishing, catch the fish, skin and fillet, cook and serve up same with appropriate garnish.”
My son loves bitcoin. I, as part of the troglodyte unwashed, still fail to see how bitcoins can serve as money and have potential to increase in value by 10, 100, or 1,000 times in a short time period. Would you use tulips as a currency? (read my tulips!)
Thanks for the rants Bro. I’ll listen to Trace “soon”.
Some real practical cryptocurrency stuff in this video, like, how to save 30% on any Amazon purchase that you make through purse.io.
This is from Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
While crypto prices on the markets remain low (well I think they are correctly priced now) the Bitcoin Cash community is working for ease of use, fast and cheap transactions. Also, the collection of BCH for 100,000 Venezuelans over 24 hours was a good thing to do.
There is real work being done.

“The Old Courtesan”
the old courtesan sings
at a cafe in Arles
angling for favours
from a man named Charles
everything once given
and meant for forever,
is forgotten in time
and inclement weather…
best angle up front
and still ‘in the know’
this rose, now withered
puts on a show
and as she goes through
the same old routine
her mind starts to wander
her heart to scream
that brute Guauguin
with his smock unkempt –
ne’er a glint in his eye
ought contempt!
a woman must bear
all this and more
when, no longer wanted
she’s shown the door
and Vincent that child
with his old man’s face,
haunted by the green fairy
and love misplaced
he flew too high
and too near the sun
like Icarus of old –
that knave is done…
everything once given
and meant for forever
is forgotten in time
and inclement weather
she caught that last chorus
only just in time –
Charles is looking keen,
that man is looking fine…
with apologies to the memory of P.Gauguin
“the green fairy” – absinthe
Man, you hit the nail with this one, thank you for sharing !
I have a ‘soft hammer’, does the trick, lol. Seriously, its serious business, this “keeping up with the muses”. I’ve asked myself why countless ideas fall by the wayside, and I’ve realized that where the muses go, is never where we woulda thought of going. So… are we prepared to give up our precious idea of ‘how it should be’, or will we allow ourselves to be led to a better ‘conclusion’? Hint, we need good stamina + robust imagination! Cheers, Ioan.
I just finished to read the book of Paul ” Raising Stones 1″ . A very interesting reading, with a lot of technical details, well written and illustrated, easy to understand even for a novice in technical issues as I am. I cannot comment on biblical questions and interpretations such as Ezekiel, I better leave it to those who scuffle the Old Testament. But in all, Paul has written a book based on logic and critical thinking, which I really appreciate, offering a lesson of ancient technological history from a different perspective, unbiased by religious or/and political views. I am convinced, that this book will open the minds of many people and in the same way, will give an opportunity to ample discussions among those in knowledge of ancient construction methods, rediscovering maybe the lost or hidden vestiges of that past know-how in human history. Thank you Paul !
Do you mind if I use your words here as a recommendation on saker.community ioan?
If you think so and like it, do it my dear amarynth. Paul deserves attention in my humble view.
Yup I echo the sentiments
Who Said This?
William K. Black
Associate Professor of Economics and Law, UMKC
I cannot write many blogs during the fall semesters because I teach four classes (I co-teach one of them). The fall term of instruction at UMKC is now over so I am writing one piece before turning to grading. I have recently done additional research on a topic I know is of great interest – the prosecution of elite white-collar criminals. I have organized it in the form of a game in which the reader guesses who authored the quoted passage.
Which President described the elite banksters of his era as “charlatans, chiselers and cheats?”
Which Vice President criticized prosecutions, enforcement actions, and even safety rules for the elite white-collar criminals of his era in these terms?
“But the number of complex regulations is only half the problem. As President [deleted] has repeatedly emphasized, it is also the adversarial and seemingly mindless enforcement methods that really get under people’s skins. Business owners are sick of being treated like criminals. They see a government that just doesn’t make sense, that charges them with safety violations when no one is in harm’s way.”
[Note that enforcement action is supposed to be ‘adversarial’ and that ‘business owners’ need to be ‘treated [as] [not ‘like’] criminals’ when they are criminals. A safety violation that does not cause injury because no worker is in the unsafe trench when it collapsed should be charged as a safety violation because it is. A well-run company with a strong safety record takes that approach to safety. The government must too.]
Which U.S. Attorney General offered the excuse for refusing to create a national task force to prioritize the prosecution of the elite banksters of his era that the fraudsters were merely “white collar street criminals”?
Which U.S. Attorney General explained in these terms why he was working with the regulators because prosecutions of elite banksters require enormous sophistication and prioritization?
[T]hese investigations most often involve complicated paper trails leading to highly sophisticated schemes which disguise illegality under the veneer of legitimate business and financial transactions.
[Note that this AG understood the essential danger that makes ‘control frauds’ uniquely damaging – the fact that the CEO finds it far easier to ‘disguise illegality’ ‘under the veneer’ of seeming ‘legitima[cy].’]
Which U.S. President met with the Nation’s U.S. Attorneys to emphasize in these terms the criticality of prosecuting elite banksters?
“It takes a snake, a cold-blooded snake, to betray the trust and innocence of hard-working people,” [deleted] said in a speech to his administration’s U.S. attorneys in announcing his effort. “And so, if we have to look under rocks to find these white-collar criminals, then we will leave no stone unturned.”
Which U.S. President proclaimed “I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat cat bankers on Wall Street”?
Which FBI Director characterized the level of elite fraud in failed insured institutions as ‘pervasive’ and explained that the fraud problem came from the top in these terms?
“The American public relied upon banking institutions and financial institutions being soundly managed by people who were honest. Therefore, it is absolutely essential that this program go forward to the end no matter how long that takes.”
He discounted past arguments that Texas’ economy was the root cause for the state’s financial crisis. “Although it was the general economic downturn in Texas that surfaced the problem, it appears to the FBI as if a pervasive pattern of fraudulent lending activity began much earlier.”
Which U.S. President told the Nation’s leading bankers “My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks”?
[Note that the President was characterizing the American people as a mob out to murder the banksters that caused the financial crisis – and stressing that his administration would safeguard them from accountability for their crimes.]
Which U.S. Attorney General explained in these terms how he began working with the new regulator the day after he was appointed to ensure the prioritization of the most elite banksters in the ongoing financial crisis they were both confronting?
“I met with [deleted] Director of [deleted], the day after he assumed office to map out a joint effort between the regulatory agencies and the Department of Justice to winnow through the mass of referrals that had already been made to ensure that we were focusing upon the most significant cases as our first priority.”
Which regulatory agency made the ‘mass of [criminal] referrals’ the AG was referring to? How many criminal referrals did the agency make in response to its financial crisis? How many felony convictions of individuals did the Department of Justice (DOJ) obtain in ‘major’ cases in response to these referrals?
Which senior law enforcement agency warned in September 2004 that an ‘epidemic’ of mortgage fraud was developing that would, he predicted, cause a financial ‘crisis’ if it were not stopped?
Which administration “debated for months the advantages and perils of a criminal indictment against HSBC” given an FBI investigation confirming the congressional finding that the bank, between 2001 and 2010, “exposed the U.S. financial system to money laundering [by a leading drug cartel] and terrorist financing risks” [by Saudis]”? The U.S. Attorney General, at the urging of the Fed and the Comptroller of the Currency, refused to indict the bank or its senior officers who committed and profited from tens of thousands of felonies.
What U.S. Attorney General testified to Congress in the following terms that the largest banks were too big to prosecute?
“I am concerned that the size of some of these institutions becomes so large that it does become difficult for us to prosecute them when we are hit with indications that if you do prosecute, if you do bring a criminal charge, it will have a negative impact on the national economy, perhaps even the world economy.”
Under which administration did Scott G. Alvarez, general counsel at the Federal Reserve successfully intervene with the SEC to weaken fraud penalties against some of the world’s largest banks?
Under which administration did Timothy Geithner, then President of the NY Fed, successfully intervene with then NY Attorney General Cuomo to caution against vigorous prosecution of elite banksters? Did this harm Geithner and Cuomo’s careers?
Which President unconstitutionally appointed the first Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision – after being warned that appointing him without the Senate’s ‘advice and consent’ would be unconstitutional? Why did the President do so – and why did the Senate not protest the action?
Which administration ended the career prospects of a top regulator they appointed when he had the audacity to bring an enforcement action against the President’s son?
Which U.S. Attorney General wrote: “We are presently facing the largest financial disaster in American history grounded in the betrayal of public trust by flagrant self-dealing in ‘other people’s money’”?
Which U.S. Attorney General described the causes of the financial crisis he was investigating “the biggest white-collar swindle in history”?
For bonus points, these questions relate to a non-government party.
Who wrote the following – and made it public?
“Our savings and loan industry has created the largest mess in the history of U.S. financial institutions,” [deleted] said in a letter to the [industry trade association – the ‘league’]. “The league responds to the savings and loan mess as Exxon would have responded to the oil spill from the Valdez if it had insisted thereafter on liberal use of whisky by tanker captains.” [Deleted] blamed the league for ‘constant and successful’ lobbying over many years that prevented government regulators from cracking down on S&Ls run by ‘crooks and fools’ and persuaded regulators to use ‘Mickey Mouse’ accounting….”
“It is not unfair to liken the situation now facing Congress to cancer and to liken the league to a significant carcinogenic agent….”
“Because the League has clearly misled its government for a long time, to the taxpayers’ great detriment, a public apology is in order, not redoubled efforts to mislead further.”

Thank you for sharing all this, this is why (among other things) I am more and more disgusted with this status-quo agreed upon by multiple world players, but hey, they are playing chess at a level at which our mind is creeping – you may never know what is coming out of the sack, today, tomorrow, next year – meanwhile we try to keep in touch with the past frauds and misleading, they keep on doing it – why not, after so much success, no dogs around to bite them in their ass. We keep searching the left behind shit, they are running ahead us for thousand miles already, that’s the kind of chess they are doing and we cannot grasp… where is the Justice ? was it, is it, or we just imagine. But we have a good imagination, therefore we still believe in Justice.
“Is justice, just ice, the strong doing what they can, and the weak doing what they must?” Joni Mitchell – “Sex Kills”.
There is only one thing to know, the saying, “The mills of the Gods grind slowly, though exceedingly fine…”
We are impatient to see those we consider perpetrators of injustice get “theirs”, but tend to gloss over our own ‘oversights’. This is a world where every Soul is here to learn the lessons of love and power. Unfortunately, this beautiful but impermanent world is the collateral damage of our collective interaction over the centuries.
Joni is was putting the famous quotation from The Melian Dialogues in the History of the Peloponnesian War as a question…fair use I’d say.
The original is perhaps worth revisiting, (and publishing in every media, particularly the fakenewzfascist “newspapers” > the New York Times and the Washington Post…then maybe the heroes at CIA and State might get “it”, as understand they’re lighting a fuze that may sweep all away.
as Empire says much the same now as then, with, one worries and expects, unsatisfactory outcomes. One reason to read books…and Histories.
Original quote: “the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must”.
from wiki an excerpt:
The Athenians offer the Melians an ultimatum: surrender and pay tribute to Athens, or be destroyed. The Athenians do not wish to waste time arguing over the morality of the situation, because in practice might makes right—or, in their own words, “the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must”.[25]
The Melians argue that they are a neutral city and not an enemy, so Athens has no need to conquer them. The Athenians counter that if they accept Melos’ neutrality and independence, they would look weak: Their subjects would think that they left Melos alone because they were not strong enough to conquer it.
The Melians argue that an invasion will alarm the other neutral Greek states, who will become hostile to Athens for fear of being invaded themselves. The Athenians counter that the Greek states on the mainland are unlikely to act this way. It is the independent island states and the disgruntled subjects that Athens has already conquered that are more likely to take up arms against Athens. (see below)
The Melians argue that it would be shameful and cowardly of them to submit without a fight. The Athenians counter that it is only shameful to submit to an opponent whom one has a reasonable chance of defeating. There is no shame in submitting to an overwhelmingly superior opponent like Athens.
The Melians argue that though the Athenians are far stronger, there is at least a slim chance that the Melians could win, and they will regret not trying their luck. The Athenians counter that this argument is emotional and short-sighted. If the Melians lose, which is highly likely, they will come to bitterly regret their foolish optimism.
The Melians believe that they will have the assistance of the gods because their position is morally just. The Athenians counter that the gods will not intervene because it is the natural order of things for the strong to dominate the weak.
The Melians argue that their Spartan kin will come to their defense. The Athenians counter that the Spartans are a practical people who never put themselves at risk when their interests are not at stake, and rescuing Melos would be especially risky since Athens has the stronger navy.
The Athenians express their shock at the Melians’ lack of realism. They say that there is no shame in submitting to a stronger enemy, especially one who is offering reasonable terms. They also argue that it is sensible to submit to one’s superiors, stand firm against one’s equals, and be moderate to one’s inferiors. The Melians do not change their minds and politely dismiss the envoys. ”

Thank you for this info, parrhesiastes.
So not much change there then, since 416 BC, just fancier killing kit.
” If the Melians lose, which is highly likely,”
Evidently BBC follows the Athenian language…ie inter alia “highly likely”
It would be funny, a farce and clown act at the circus, except for the costs… Pity

You are probably correct about me… But realize, I am resolved never to advocate and never to join – but am by nature a very thoughtful observer, a witness. Of course, generally, I advocate being kind and polite and generous, and turning away from violence whenever possible. You know, Jesus…

Well, since I jotted the above, an opinion about that stuff the New Year will see, maybe….Gilets Jaunes: The End of Dystopia……..http://www.unz.com/ishamir/gilets-jaunes-end-of-dystopia/
excerpt: ” Like a bonfire, popular uprisings burn unevenly. Now they burst out, in a few days they appear extinguished, and suddenly flare up again. This is the case with the GJ uprising. It is impossible to predict what will happen next. Even if repressions, mass arrests, propaganda and armoured cars will help the Macron regime to hold on for a while, the bell rang: the end of the bankers’ plan to tighten our belts, and to grow their triple chin is nigh. After all, the final elimination of the old feudal order took place many years after the shining example of 1789 Revolution.
Paris sets fashion; their infrequent rebellions define humanity’s future. In 1789 rebellious Parisians buried the Ancien Régime, proclaimed democracy, liberty, equality and fraternity. In 1848 the rebellious Parisians started the Spring of Nations, the great pan-European revolution. In 1871 the Paris Commune became a forerunner of all socialist revolutions. Two world wars, the massive bloodletting of Verdun and Nazi occupation had kept the people of Paris in survival mode, and the next revolution came only in 1968. And now, in 2018, the Parisians put an end to the radical neoliberal project of enslaving humanity.”
It’s 7 pages, covers a lot of topics…ties together realpolitik .
He’s probably right about the unevenness… And I’d suggest too that the degree of “globalized mind” (thanks to USA and Hollywood, not to mention the networks and lingua franca of globalization itself…the computer networks) makes the revolts quite likely “highly likely” (!) to go more or less global…unintended consequences attend these violent assaults on the poor. That’s “Paris”? Well, yeah…

Israel on Death Row by Taxi
“So much saccharine propaganda is added to Israeli news in Western Mainstream Media that our teeth have turned black with rot and our brains have turned into windswept candyfloss. But, for the discerning mind whose gray matter remains pickled in natural brine and not in artificial Jewish sugars, the picture of Israel’s power and stability in the Middle East looks very different indeed. In fact, reality in the Levant is the very opposite of Jewish propaganda in Western nations. It is no exaggeration nor theory here that having spent the past seven decades dominating every inch of land, water and sky in the Levant, Israel today finds itself unable to effectively defend itself, nor reclaim past military glories and assertions. Therefore, there is no doubt whatsoever that the wider geopolitical map of the Levant today finds Israel sitting on death row, and without an appellant messiah appearing on the horizon.”

Number of prisoners in Russia hits record low
https://www.rt.com/russia/446488-russia-prisoners-record-low/
“Over the past few years, the number of inmates in Russia has dropped by nearly 250,000, the FSIN deputy head, Valeriy Maksimenko, told journalists on Friday.
Currently, 467,000 people are serving jail terms, which is the lowest number in modern Russian history.
Apart from that, some 100,000 are in pre-trial and police custody, Maksimenko added. While the figure appears to be quite big, the number of such people actually shrank two-fold, compared to six years ago.
The decline in the number of the prisoners is the tangible result of “humanization” of Russian legislation, the official said. The number of inmates is expected to shrink further, as the authorities seek to put people behind bars only for capital offences, committed “against individual or state.”
A new law, signed by Vladimir Putin this summer, has also contributed to the reduction of inmate numbers, according to Maksimenko.
The legislation has set new rules for re-calculating time spent in pre-trial detention into jail days after sentencing. A day spent in pre-trial custody now counts as 1.5 days in jail for general security prisoners and as two days for low-security ones. For maximum and special-security prisoners, sentenced for serious and violent crimes, however, it goes day-for-day only. The new legislation has had a retroactive effect, and convicts had their jail time re-calculated according to the new rules.”
Considerably lower per capita incarceration rates than in israel’s american colony.

What if the next “Pearl Harbor” involves the destruction of every large coastal US city with 20% of the inhabitants?
Aceh and Fukushima show the way. Denver altGov was chosen for a reason.
Russia has been helpful in reminding the USA of what they did without shaming them. Or, worse, the idea is to lose those cities?
Playing the “we are weak” card to get an erstwhile ally to attack the USA is now extremely dangerous. It never fooled anyone. The stupid accusations against Russia fool no one.
Florida is the last place to choose to live in USA with this knowledge…..
Hey Pat, what you have written seems interesting but obscure to me… Elaborate?
After Aceh, PLA Academy warned of nuclear retaliation against USA, if it were to lose a city to a tsunami. PRC also advised Burma to move its capital, which it did.
USS San Francisco was almost destroyed, as the clathrates under the original explosion made the destruction 3,000 times greater. So it ws said to have run into a mountain…. The hospital ship was prepared weeks before the tsunami.
Aceh had a ceasefire, but wanted independence and the oil now being pumped. Its fighters were wiped out, enabling peace through a most despicable deceit. The world knows.
Thanks!
I should enjoy seeing forensic evidence that (presumably methane) clathrates had a significant input to T wave event.
Ditto “explosion”… forensic evidence?
Perhaps I am not in or of the world – I do not know. I am however open to evidence. Absent evidence to the contrary I will cling for a time to the geophysical science that I do know – subsidence. Much of the westcoat of NA has vast undersea subsidence zones…Eureka and North…Oregon especially. In fact we chose to live far inland (about 100 miles by direct aerial distance) because of T wave risk.
The underwater testing of atomic explosives has of course been done many times…waves? Yes… But nothing like the T waves.
I remain at this time inclined to accept natural provenance for event Asch.

Sure.
excerpt:
” Thirty-five years ago, the United States and the Soviet Union were in a nuclear arms race that had taken them to the brink of war. The Day After was a piercing wakeup shriek, not just for the general public but also for then-President Ronald Reagan. Shortly after he saw the film, Reagan gave a speech saying that he, too, had a dream: that nuclear weapons would be “banished from the face of the Earth.” A few years later, Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev signed the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, the first agreement that provided for the elimination of an entire category of nuclear weapons. By the late 1990s, American and Russian leaders had created a stable, treaty-based arms-control infrastructure and expected it to continue improving over time…”

The Russian retirement issue is not unique, Putin did approved that law not because he had to make a deal with its opponents but for socio-economic reasons which are world wide in nature and it is related to the so called “baby boom” generation – those being born between 1946-1964. Beginning with 2012, that generation begun to retire and will continue to do that until 2030. They represent an average of 40% of the population in Europe, Russia and North America.
What will be the impact on the countries ? what will be the consequences on many levels ? how is this related with the newly adopted immigration policy at the UN and EU ? very important questions.
Here a few things to read about :
Life expectancy(2016) : Japan 83,98 Germany 80,64 USA 78,69 Great Britain 80,96 Canada 82,30 Russia 72,5 (male 66,4 female 77,2 – 2017)
Source: ThinkstockThe U.S. fertility rate is at its lowest point in history, with 62.5 births per 1000 women between the ages of 15 and 44.
“Between 2010 and 2030, 10,000 baby boomers/day (the generation born between 1946-1964) will reach the retirement age of 65.
As more baby boomers retire, there are fewer replacement workers to take over. This is causing what has been referred to as a “huge knowledge gap.” Even if the economy is in a downturn, overall, there will still be a need for specialized workers to take over these new openings.
“More importantly, retiring baby boomers are much more tech-literate than their parents”
“Due to issues with Social Security as well as the continuing rising costs of living, the unfortunate reality for many baby boomers is that full retirement is not financially viable. As a result, many will need to continue working, at least part-time, to support themselves.”
“Since companies need workers, and because it can take a long time for new workers to acquire the skills needed, tech companies will put pressure on the US government to increase the number of new visas approved in a given year — most notably, the H-1B visa, since this is the one most impacted by the tech industry.”
“Baby boomers emerged after the end of World War II, when birth rates across the world spiked. The explosion of new infants became known as the baby boom. During the boom, almost 77 million babies were born in the United States alone, comprising nearly 40% of the American population. The population growth created a secondary spurt in the economy. More people created more consumer demand, triggering an increase in manufacturing and production. Average incomes rose during these decades, which further increased demand. This upward spiral created a long-lasting economic boom that raised the standard of living throughout the country and the developed world.”
“As for that federal pension known as Social Security – there is concern that it could fall short badly. The problem is that the baby boomer generation is much larger than most of the generations that followed. This potentially means that there will not be enough taxpaying workers to support the Social Security payments to the aging boomer population. During the years baby boomers were in the workforce, there were six employees for every one retiree. But it is estimated that by the time the entire baby boomer generation reaches retirement age, that ratio will fall to three-to-one.”

Retirement ages were raised in the UK several years ago on a sliding scale affecting those closest to retirement the least, for the reason of demographics described above. (It also explains the UK immigration policies, not that I want to get into those discussions here) I had to work an extra almost 3 years. I had intended to continue working in a part-time or voluntary capacity anyway but health matters decided otherwise.
One of the few advantages of having one foot in the grave is that the insurance actuary boffins who calculate these things gave me a much better return on investment than would otherwise be the case.
Swings and roundabouts for me, but I feel sorry for the future generations who will have to work into their 70th decade…if they can find a job in a high tech world.
As the main system – Corporate Capitalism – is not going to be reformed too soon, the number of losers will only increase, creating a continuous conflict in the society between those who have a job and those who don’t, in fact creating a new class of large poor masses, who will have to live from social help, thus pushing them to the limits of committing crimes. As the advances in technology will go forward in all sectors of the industry, less and less people will be needed in the otherwise well paid sectors of machinery and other related factories. The agriculture is also automatized, they will need less and less people. What could be those places in economy where huge amount of people could be employed ? Without reforms, without planing according to the available human resources in need for work to make a living, this whole scheme of today’s mentality by those in power, will have huge troubles. Though they think that their System is working very efficiently and will solve all challenges ahead. It seems to me and not just to me) that they have a Plan, what would that be, it is your guess.
nutzlosen was the tern of usage in the 3erd Reich…who doubts the word applies today?
(in actual fact the old lefties I ran into at Walmart (no kidding), a pair of old ladies in a rural provincial backwater, were saying to one another “what’s therm? Useless eater? That’s us…” And that was about 10 years ago…

You know your country has become a colony when:
Texas school pathologist files lawsuit after being denied work for refusing to sign pro-Israel oath
https://www.rt.com/usa/446707-employee-fired-israel-oath-texas/
“But this year, in August, there was a new addition to the contract papers. That addition was an oath which Amawi was being asked to sign, promising that she “will not boycott Israel during the term of the contract” and will refrain from any action “that is intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with Israel, or with a person or entity doing business in Israel or in an Israel-controlled territory.”
That was a problem for Amawi, who, along with her family, refrains from buying goods from Israeli companies in support of the global boycott to end Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.
But aside from that, Amawi noted that the very fact that this was the only oath she was being asked to sign – and it was to do with Israel – was extremely strange.
“It’s baffling that they can throw this down our throats, and decide to protect another country’s economy versus protecting our constitutional rights,” Amawi, who was born in Austria and is of Palestinian descent, told The Intercept.
She said it was entirely out of the question to sign such an oath, as it would not only be doing Palestinians a disservice, but also Americans.
“I couldn’t in good conscience do that. If I did, I would not only be betraying Palestinians suffering under an occupation that I believe is unjust…but I’d also be betraying my fellow Americans by enabling violations of our constitutional rights to free speech and to protest peacefully,” said Amawi, who has lived in America for the last 30 years and is a US citizen.
Additionally, the disabled, autistic, and speech-impaired students of Pflugerville Independent School District are also losing out. Those who speak Arabic are at a particular disadvantage, as Amawi says she is the only certified child’s speech pathologist in the district that speaks the language.
Amawi’s attorney has filed a lawsuit, alleging a violation of her First Amendment right of free speech.
The oath was produced under a pro-Israel Texas state law enacted on May 2, 2017, which bans state agencies from working with contractors who boycott Israel. When the bill was signed into law by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, he said that “any anti-Israel policy is an anti-Texas policy.”
The law is incredibly far-reaching, and meant that some Hurricane Harvey victims were told they could only receive state disaster relief if they signed the same kind of pro-Israel oath. The author of the bill, State Rep. Phil King, later said that its application to hurricane assistance was a “misunderstanding.” (sure it was, israeli quisling – vt)
However, Texas isn’t alone in requiring its contractors not to boycott Israel. A total of 26 states have enacted such laws, and similar bills are pending in”
This is beyond absurd. A hostile foreign power has their pindo regime quislings enact laws requiring a swearing an oath of loyalty to israel over and above any loyalty to the usa and its constitution. And these traitors do this openly, and not just openly, the sodding things brag about it as they trample on americans for israel.
How is this different from the nazi quisling regimes running europe for germany in WW2? I’ll tell you how. The WW2 quislings were backed by an occupation army, extreme brutality and serious muscle just a step away.
The israeli control of pindoland depends on none of that. It is all psywar dependent upon american cowardice, greed and their predilection to be brain dead zombie conformists.
At least in europe, the eu zio-quislings have to still factor in the people’s disgust for zionazism when they work their pop control strategies. In the usa, the zionazi-gays need not worry about skeptical thinking, just how to work their own repugnant prejudices and criminality into already existing social structures.
If one uses search term “yellow dog contract” one will see a History of contracts in the US System of (ahem) Law that do essentially the same thing. Such contracts have been to Court…and just now it seems they may return to Court..however, sometimes the Courts have affirmed, sometimes not… 2 guesses what the Courts will do this time…and the hopeful guess does not count.
YDC’s relate specifically to labor law in the US, and Unions. Of course one may take the position that a “union” exists when two or more desire together to avoid the products of some entity…
The counter-argument is that individuals have the “right” to “negotiate” with a monopoly…good luck with that Comrade. They says this is “freedom of contract”…
Right.
I was reading this on the ‘Irish’ Problem (actually Britain’s problem with the Ireland it had occupied and tried to subjugate) plaguing the dreaded Brexit negotiations:
https://www.rt.com/op-ed/446691-ireland-britain-brexit-border/
and suddenly remembered yet another instance of baby-eating from 1729. Jonathan Swift wrote a satirical tract on the ‘Irish’ problem of that time (ongoing for at least 400 years now) suggesting that the starving Irish sell their babies to rich people as food and giving helpful cooking suggestions.
Its a bit of a classic, a master class in rhetoric and still widely read, ‘A Modest Proposal’:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Modest_Proposal
The RT item is incorrect. Britain did not impose the border in Ireland – the Ulster Unionist’s did that https://ansionnachfionn.com/2018/11/01/edward-carson-ulster-and-ireland-puppets-in-the-political-games-of-the-conservative-party/
Carson—-now there’s a man who can make a mountain out of a personal grievance, but even he states that the border was imposed by Britain, admittedly after it had been humiliated and thoroughly lost the southern counties, as he put it: ‘the army of Sinn Fein held a gun to your head.’
Thanks for that. I doubt it will be of much interest to most readers here, being an obscure wrangle over Britain’s first and last colony, a tiny island in the Atlantic, but it does illuminate the larger scheme of things a bit. And it certainly mattered a great deal to my forebears from Limerick and London.
Carson was actually secondary to James Craig’s army of Ulster Unionist’s – the border was created by Britain but it was imposed by the Ulster Unionist’s https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-politics-19718680.

What I have picked up re the ‘declassify’ is that when that was announced by the Donald he had to delay due to the Maybot imploring him to reconsider.
Its coming out obliquely anyway in the ludicrously named ‘Integrity Initiative’ disclosures which give the lie to the whole, interminable Russiagate narrative, but should take more than a few other prominent types with it.
From Patrick Armstrong a couple of days ago. A nice summary of all the nonsense out there. You’d think lacking any discernable structural integrity that it would collapse under its own weight of lies.

I am rather partial to the paragraph on CEPA:
“Some of these are nothing but beards for the arms industry. An example is CEPA (“a tax-exempt, non-profit, non-partisan, public policy research institute”) supported by, inter alia, the US Mission to NATO, NATO Public Diplomacy Division, US Naval Postgraduate School, US Department of Defense, US Department of State, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Raytheon Company, European Defense Agency, Chevron Corporation, Bell Helicopter, Textron Systems and BAE Systems. Its “non-partisan” reports tell us Russia is sowing chaos, that we must defend the “Sulwaki Corridor”, Nord Stream is a bad idea and so on. You may not have noticed Moscow’s hand in Catalonian separatism, but they have. All very predictable and just the sort of thing a company making big weapons wants out there to buttress its sales pitch. Bearded guys in turbans and sandals with IEDs are not big business; Russians in tanks are. A rather curious idea of “non-partisan”. “
Looks like this is an interesting site, pity it’s in Italian: http://alawata-rebellion.blogspot.com/2018/12/operation-mariupol-4.html
But, a translation:
Operation Mariupol / 4
Lieutenant-Colonel Eric Adams, supervisor of offensive preparations for the Ukrainian army in Donbass
(Previous situation points here: Mariupol / 1 , Mariupol / 2 , Mariupol 3 , The pawns move forward ) What is happening on the Donbass front that has once again boiled in the aftermath of the Kerch incident caused by Kiev last November 25th? Initially, the Republican and Russian intelligence services announced a high probability of a Ukrainian offensive in the southern sector of the Donetsk People’s Republic by 14 December. And the Ukrainian military preparations observed in the area of Mariupol in the last 2 weeks have confirmed the reality of this threat and that is still relevant.
Today, the last days of the revolving martial law imposed by the Kiev authorities in the middle of the presidential election campaign are evoked as a new window for a major Ukrainian attack in Donbass.
First of all, let us mention some parameters that caused the postponement of this Ukrainian offensive whose importance of military preparations shows that it is not a propaganda propaganda effect but a real threat hanging over a front line. who for 4 years tends each day a little more.
A sword of Russian Damocles against a Ukrainian dagger
Why on December 14 no major action has been taken by Kiev on the front?
Perhaps a delay in the assault preparations, where the deployment of the supply chain,
Probably an effect of surprise annihilated by the republican communiques revealing the plans of the offensive and the details of its preparation and its release,
Certainly an unfavorable weather where rains and a thaw have made the ground free muddy and difficult for armored vehicles with a cloud ceiling and persistent mists unfit for aerial observations and missions
Etc.
To these local factors must also be added external factors:
Waiting for the green light of Westerners without the support of which, political, media but also military (at least logistics and intelligence), a prolonged Ukrainian coup is doomed to failure. If in the provocation of Kerch was the opportunity for the Westerners in a new attack of hysterical Russophobia, to ask for new anti-Russian economic attacks especially against the North Stream 2 gas pipeline, on the other hand, an internationalization of the conflict in Donbass can to be an uncontrollable double-edged sword for Maidan’s godfathers
The red light of a Russia already irritated by the provocation of Kerch and which, in front of the offensive preparation of Kiev in the sector of Mariupol, could not be more clear: the Russian forces already reinforced in the zone border with Ukraine have not only raised their combat alert level but also deployed new ground, maritime and air assault units, as well as strategic forces such as long-range missiles. Moscow will not allow Kiev to launch a new murderous offensive in the Donbass and moreover towards its borders!
“According to the information we have and that we are inclined to believe, Poroshenko is planning to organize a provocation on the border with Russia, on the border with Crimea for the last decade of December. It will face a response as vast as the sea, I assure you ”
Sergey Lavrov , Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs
That said, Kiev has not changed its intentions to carry out a coup in Donbass, whose military, political and media objectives feed both Western global strategy and the national policy of its Ukrainian valet, among others:
Breaking the front line and mobilizing Republican armed forces by cutting them
Extending martial law in Ukraine until indefinite postponement of elections
Exciting repression against the Orthodox clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate
To provoke Russia, either by obliging it to intervene or to collect the wounded from the fighting
Exacerbate the crisis in the Sea of Azov and therefore in Crimea
Accelerate NATO’s engagement in Ukraine and Russophobic sanctions around the world
Etc.
It is in this particularly tense context that Lieutenant-Colonel Eric Adams, Deputy Military Attaché of the US Embassy in Ukraine, arrived in Mariupol. On December 14, at the headquarters of the “Azov” regiment, the US military adviser summoned to an in camera meeting the Ukrainian commanders of the operational tactical group “Vostok” commanded by the commander of the 81st Ukrainian airmobile brigade, the general Yevgeny Moisyuk. This Vostok tactical group is composed of the 79th, 128th, 36th and 56th Ukrainian brigades as well as the artillery units and the “Aratta” battalion.
General Yevgeny Moisyuk who is recognized as a war criminal in Donetsk
Adams, after his business meetings in Mariupol, joined the Combined Forces Operation Headquarters located in Kramatorsk, 100 km north of Donetsk. It should be noted here that Lieutenant-Colonel Adams is not a classic embassy officer, whose career has been oriented towards military diplomacy, but a seasoned US officer with long experience of combat.
It remains to be seen when, where and how this attack will take place
On the Southern Front, we have the four Ukrainian brigades mentioned above ( 79th, 128th, 36th and 56th) , or 12,000 men with armored vehicles deployed in order of battle in the area of Mariupol with special forces, support units. artillery, air and logistics units.
On the northern front, tank units and infantry fighting vehicles of the 93rd Ukrainian Mechanized Brigade arrived at Konstantinovka station. More than 60 armored vehicles have been unloaded from the trains, which reinforce another strong tactical group of about 20,000 men and articulated around 6 assault brigades (the 58th, 1st, 81st, 30th and 93rd) with 120 tanks. assault, to which must be added a group of artillery reinforced divisions of multiple rocket launcher Smerch and Uragan (totaling more than 250 guns and 110 launches multiple rockets).
At this stage it is important to note that the areas where these Ukrainian tactical groups are deployed correspond to the sectors where Kiev has operated for over 3 years its strategy of “jumping toads” which consists in invading the “gray zone”, officially demilitarized and at least 2 km wide, to create zones of contact where the belligerents are only a few hundred meters from each other.
This situation is difficult both in the application of a theoretical ceasefire signed in Minsk and the reaction time offered in case of enemy attack.
This means that the Ukrainian forces have a very good chance, in the option of an armor-type assault “punch” to break the first line of defense Republican. It remains to be seen for what exploitation, especially in this Donbas war where most of the military actions turn out to have first political objectives. Firstly, even if the technical, operational and structural levels of the “ukrops” have improved, and their numbers have increased to a ratio of 5: 1 in their favor, they are still unable to engage in urban battles, especially with their failing logistics and morale.
Similarly, an attempt to cut the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk by a North-South assault seems very risky because long and threatened by multiple potential cauldrons before the Ukrainian forces can organize defensive systems protecting their offensive corridor. It is therefore necessary to look for a breakthrough to the Russian frontiers, along a West-East axis and in the south of Donetsk where the distance to be traveled is less than 100 km and the weakly urbanized zone, (see the articles on ” South axis ” )
That said, “this does not prevent that”, it is highly likely that the entire front line will be activated the days prior to the attack to apply the universal and timeless tactical principle of setting the reserve forces of the enemy before the overflow and the assault.
Once the onslaught is on, there are variants linked to the means committed by one and the other to the duration of the offensive and the possible intervention of NATO and Russia in operations that may be part of the objectives of Kiev. .
So, we can imagine 3 main scenarios:
A limited offensive in space and time and that would seek to achieve political and military objectives but trying not to provoke Russian intervention. This option would be based primarily on bombing and capture of a disputed area (eg Debalcevo whose Ukrainian evacuation ended after the signing of the Minsk Accords).
An offensive touching the borders with Russia to cut off republican forces imply Russia either passively (opening its borders to the wounded and Republican logistics) or actively (military support to the militias). the success of this offensive depends on the potential intervention of UN-type interposition forces to create a buffer zone and protect the territorial gains of Kiev.
A major and deadly offensive that would provoke a large-scale Russian response to the port of Mariupol, which would then be organized by Kiev in an offensive bastion with a civilian population taken hostage by the fighting. This in the hope of precipitating an internationalization of the conflict and a NATO intervention.
In all three scenarios, and regardless of the military results, the elections will be canceled and for the candidate Poroshenko it is “win-win”, unless Russia goes until the fall of the Kiev regime that the Westerners will have abandoned .
Be that as it may, Kiev will need a pretext, a “casus belli”, before launching its offensive operations and presenting them as “self-defense”. This detonator which will be a provocation may be a false chemical flag for example or a deliberate bombardment on the territories occupied by Kiev will be attributed to the republican forces. This is not a problem for Kiev especially with the unconditional and fanatical support of Westerners and the Kerch incident demonstrated this in November. What is certain is that the victims of this “operation under false flag” will certainly be civilians of the Donbass (unless he still sacrifices his soldiers).
As for the date, one can imagine that the preparatory phase (false flag and offensive pressure on all the front) before the expiry of the initial martial law (December 26) whose renewal is Poroshenko’s immediate political objective. At the end of this extension of martial law, if the Ukrainian military operations stop, it will be known that the cancellation of the elections is the only political objective sought by this escalation (in addition to the economic and media anti-Russian objectives). usual)
And we’ll be off again for a round of slow bleeding and eternal conflict!
A man could tell us which option will play Kiev in the coming days, and his name is Adams, US lieutenant-colonel and foreman of the Maidan architect.

Is Very Interesting that Lavrov now speaks of the gang running Ukraine as “nazis”
see Lavrov’s Twitter
Here at Saker we have discussed the significance of the terminology of language…and Lavrov has now called the gang what it is, and by implication identified the US ruling class along with them, since it is this Class that curated and created the nazi gang…birds of a feather and nazi solidarity? How nice.
“You want to recognize the LPR and DPR? And what’s next? To lose the rest of Ukraine and abandon it to the Nazis?” he said, when asked why Russia refused to recognize these self-proclaimed republics.

If we are to succeed in redirecting President Donald Trump from his current obliviousness to the financial crash coming at the United States, the outrageous attacks on China, in particular, by neo-con members of his administration and clueless European “leaders” must be shut up.
What is causing these figures, like National Security Advisor John Bolton, to rush forward like Alcibiades passionately seeking a new “Thucydides Trap”, is that same financial crash, coming to take down the London and Wall Street megabanks and the “neo-liberal” order along with them. They don’t share President Trump’s belief that strong economic progress and great-power cooperation are possible; but only the pessimism of the Wall Street and City of London elite facing yet another, and bigger, collapse. And the people of more and more Western nations have revolted against their neo-liberal order since the Brexit referendum in mid-2016.
Nothing could prove this extreme “no-future” pessimism more completely, than the vicious “psych-attack” on China’s President Xi Jinping by a full-length program of the French and German governments’ joint public TV channel, ARTE TV. This babbling “psychoanalsis at a distance” to slander a leader whose proposals for cooperative economic progress have won the respect of scores of nations, is a new low in behavior which will be suicidal for western nations if tolerated.
President Xi, especially in his diplomacy in bringing the Belt and Road Initiative of great projects into the development of Africa, and the gradual eradication of rural poverty there, is clearly thinking ahead to the potential human future of 2050 and beyond. The more and more shrill attacks on Xi and the New Silk Road, come as U.S. and European debt markets are freezing, stock markets are plunging, real estate markets are shrinking, European economic growth is once again negative.
The trans-Atlantic banks’ “everything bubble” will crash very soon; …………….

Jordan Peterson in the main I like. But he has been irritating in his view on communism and on socialism – basically basing everything on Solzhenitsyn’s work and just having a somewhat shallow interpretation.
We have to remember that Solzhenitsyn was first a novelist.
So, there is this hard left Slovenian philosopher, Slavoj Zizek. The two of them have been taking shots at the other but I see this morning in RT that they’re setting up a debate, but its more likely a ‘match’.

DOWNING Street has admitted it has lost “media control” due to the rise of new widely popular populist news websites.
In a sinister twist, Number Ten employs officials to “tackle what No. 10 sees as a rising risk, to the government politically and to the country as a whole” what is that risk? Politico asks; it’s “the rapid rise of new populist news sites pushing conspiratorial, anti-establishment content outside the channels of traditional media.”..

Can’t say I’m a fan of Zizek, but put him next to Jordan Peterson– yeah I guess I’m fan of Zizek.
I don’t want to miss it either. They’ve been pot-shotting for a while on Twitter.
My money is on Zizek, who is a mean thinker, even if you disagree with him or don’t immediately understand he will make you think very hard indeed.
Zizek is definitely funnier than Peterson. Looking forward to this one :DD

That’s the nature of “most” anything involving humans. By definition the majority always is a mediocrity–morally, intellectually, physically, and so on. The inability to project oneself outside oneself and see things from the vantage point of ‘the other” is almost a rarity. Americans are”brainwashed” into believing the majority represents a plus rather than a minus. It’s the Enlightenment subversion.

… Giza Pyramid Talk …
Herodotus does not quite understand the shape of the four lobe pulley.
The “Petrie rocker” is a pulley lobe (a quarter part … a quadrant of the ancient pulley)
Ezekiel provides the evidence for this by his reference to “wheels within wheels” … lobes … machines … levers … pulleys (these items are inter-related as engineers can appreciate).
I remembered reading of “wheels within wheels” in the Bible, so searched a dusty Bible thinking to find machinery … and I did. Ezekiel Chapter 1, verses 16-21.
My search only took a few minutes and when I read … “Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims had eyes all around.” … I knew this was proof.
At the time I did not have time to investigate Ezekiel Chapter 1 thoroughly because the book was in the process of being written and very time consuming, but after publication I took a year to work through Chapter 1 and the translation is on my website now. I did manage to get Ezekiel into the book on page 101.
If any reader is going to benefit fully from the book Ezekiel and Herodotus have to be converged, and when this convergence is accepted, then the reader has the full knowledge.
I see Chapter 1 as being an historical document which finally makes sense, and I can only urge you to see it this way.
The convergence is critical, but this is up to you through your own mind and will require open critical thinking.
Read through very carefully the study slides of Ezekiel at my website … haitheory.com
With the convergence the ancient method is proven beyond doubt and not proven by me, but by the two separate documentations and numerous excavated artifacts … I just fitted the pieces like a jigsaw puzzle fully completed.
Serious contenders searching for closure on Giza Pyramid construction will confine themselves to three items of study … Ezekiel Chapter 1 … Herodotus, The Histories – Book 2, Egypt and Raising Stone 1.
Going outside of the above readings will cause overwhelming confusion and probably drive a sane person mad. So, again … the goal is to establish and see the convergence … which is the key toward the truth and the proof. I would like to hear from those who now have closure, here in the Cafe.

Yup…read it …checked the website fascinating….coupla questions as in email….would multiple ones have been used eg to lift up the giant A frame individual chamber stones that are c 80 tons then how would they be moved into vertical….would the length of the straight edge of a lobe be equal to the hypontenuse distance between the 2 front 3dges of step layers so there is an even transition from one layer to the next to stop it kinda bumping around….could they have been used to bring the stones from the quarries by rolling eg an endlesss rope system….
… Giza Pyramid Talk …
… @ JJ … The floor level of The King’s Chamber in The Great Pyramid is half the vertical height of the Pyramid. The sarcophagus is wider than the main gallery, so the sarcophagus did not enter the main gallery in transit. This conversation I had with UNE professor Iain Spence and he agreed with me when I explained multiple pulleys were fitted lengthwise and the sarcophagus was hoisted lengthwise adjacent to the Pyramid steps/tiers/levels …
(The classical Greek word for steps/tiers/levels is krossai [or platforms] as used by Herodotus … read on page 115 of “Raising Stone 1”)
… the following is extracted from the media page at haitheory …
Now that you understand the basic working principles of the pinion-pulley, consider the following. Mechanical Advantage is equal to Load divided by Effort. An average Pyramid block weighs 2500kg and with a Mechanical Advantage of 2.8 an Effort the equivalent of 900 kg will operate the pulley. As the pinion-pulley rolls onto a Pyramid step the required Effort is reducing very quickly to zero. Think of a wheelbarrow which is difficult to lift and tip at first, but progressively gets easier. The pinion-pulley may be considered as continuous and rotating wheelbarrows on a rope which keep rolling over, making positive engagements with Pyramid steps and tipped. Make reference here to the ‘wheelbarrow illustration’ on the HOME page. A maximum of Effort (equivalent to 900 kg) per tip is required for about TWO seconds and then rapidly falls to zero as the pinion-pulley rolls completely onto a Pyramid step, all its weigh now transferred onto the step. Now you will understand the blocks were raised not by brute force but by an intermittent sequence of two second pulses of maximum Effort equivalent to 900 kg. Six men can provide this Effort easily. Yes, I am telling you that six men can raise a Pyramid block to any height, because height is not an issue here.
Raising Granite Beams over the King’s Chamber in the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza. The largest of these beams has dimensions of 1.3m x 1.8m and is 8m long. Its estimated weight is approximately 60 tonnes or 60,000kg. Not a problem. Three pinion-pulleys can be fitted to one Pyramid block, so twenty four pinion-pulleys can be fitted to the eight metre long granite block. The Effort of 6 men is required to raise a 2500kg Pyramid block so how many men are required to provide Effort to raise a 60,000kg block of similar cross-section to the shorter Pyramid blocks? The larger load is twenty four times heavier, thus the number of men required is 24 times 6, equals 144 men. (24 x 6 = 144). Of course the pinion-pulley lobes for this very heavy load would be made from solid sections of tree trunks to withstand the load. Forty shiploads of ‘Cedar of Lebanon’ timber was imported into Egypt by Pharaoh Sneferu, Khufu’s father. Sneferu built the RED Pyramid at Dahshur using the pinion-pulley.

JJ … I wish you to have closure on this rack and pinion construction method and this requires formally accepting the convergence of what Ezekiel and Herodotus have transcribed.
This is the universal, university requirement.
Let us know in the Cafe if you have ‘got there’ … I am interested to know.
The moment convergence is accepted all other theories are very easily dismissed, so you will have clear thinking to proceed with other countless details pertaining to the construction which can be debated for ever.

Let’s Boycott Israel and Its Friends
If you want change, begin to play hardball
http://www.unz.com/pgiraldi/lets-boycott-israel-and-its-friends/
“The lopsided wag-the-dog relationship with Israel is so dangerous to actual American interests in so many ways that the United States is now approaching a precipice and might soon find itself plummeting to ruin. Israel, not Russia, constantly interferes in the functioning of America’s remaining democracy. Fighting Israel’s wars and protecting it from any criticism have debased the value of being an American citizen and literally impoverished the country under a mountain of debt. The U.S. has been victimized by terrorism, much of which can be traced back to Israeli roots, and the Washington is now isolated globally as the United States has become more and more like Israel, a militarized state, politically corrupt and abandoning basic liberties.
How does one right the sinking ship? For starters, the Ron Unz formula for correcting the problem with China provides an excellent roadmap. Israel and its friends do not have a grip on congress, the White House and the media because they are wonderful warm people that others find to be sympathetic. It is difficult even to imagine a scintillating conversation with a malignant toad like Sheldon Adelson. Israel’s ability to corrupt and misdirect is all based on Jewish money, a process in which Zionist oligarchs buy their way to power and access. So the solution is to hit back where it really hurts – boycott Israel and Israeli products and do the same for the companies that are the sources of income for the American Jews who are the principal supporters of the Zionist project.
The United States Congress is currently moving to make it illegal to openly advocate boycotts of Israel or even to inquire about doing so, while 25 states have already also done the same to a greater or lesser extent. Last week a speech therapist in Texas was fired from a job she had held for nine years because she refused to sign an oath affirming that she would not boycott Israel. It is a measure of Jewish power in the U.S. that American politicians choose to provide cover for Israel’s misdeeds even if it means the end of the First Amendment and free speech. But punitive steps intended to intimidate any and all critics of Israel aside, there is no reason why consumers cannot exercise judgement over what they buy and what they are supporting through their spending. If you want to visit Las Vegas, by all means go, but don’t patronize the casinos and hotels owned by Sheldon Adelson, which include The Venetian and Sands Resort.
Democratic party major donor Haim Saban, meanwhile, is a producer of Hollywood children’s entertainment, including the lucrative Power Rangers. You can stop your children from watching his violent programming and tell the network’s advertisers why you are doing so. And then there are businessmen including Bernard Marcus, who is a co-founder of Home Depot and a major supporter of Israel, and Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots. No one really has to spend $1000 to go to a football game, particularly if the owner is a good friend of Benjamin Netanyahu, and if you need something for your home or are seeking entertainment, choose to spend your dollars somewhere else. Readers can do the homework for the businesses and services that they normally patronize. If outspoken advocates for Israel own the company, take your dollars elsewhere.
As it is nearly impossible in the United States to vote for a politician who is in any way critical of Israel, those who are opposed to the terrible damage that the Israelis and their domestic lobby are doing to the U.S. can instead vote with their purchasing power. It does not afford the same pleasure as “throwing the bums out,” but there will be considerable satisfaction in being able to strike back against a powerful lobby that is so hubristic and insensitive to any criticism that it has become completely tone deaf.
Apart from domestic considerations, observers have noted that Israeli treatment of the Palestinians has been worse than apartheid under South Africa yet South Africa was subjected to multiple boycotts and bans on its participation in international fora, to include even sporting competitions. It is past time to do the same to Israel, which has been shooting dead hundreds of unarmed Palestinians for months now without paying any price at all. Boycotting Israel internationally is a good start. It is non-violent and proportionate and it just might be an idea that will spread and finally bring about some payback for what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabal of war criminals have done and continue to do. As the end of 2018 approaches, it would be something to look forward to if 2019 just might turn out to be the year of the international Israel Boycott.”
The Year of the International Boycott already happened, the Paddys took down Apartheid South Africa, look it up. Started in Belfast, on the Falls Road. We gave the world the word. Boycott, look it up.
Been calling for Boycotting the Apartheid Occupation of Palestine long before BDS exsisted. It will never have true meaning until all publications and people publishing material refer to the ‘state’ as ‘The Apartheid Occupation Of Palestine’, not by it balsphamous biblical name ‘Ishmael’. It will never have true ligitamacy until the ‘people’, hey that’s us, stop supporting, trading, traveling, educational exchanging with the abomination that has Gaza under seige, it allies, hanger-ons, and ner’do wells.
Get with the program, people.
I couldn’t find any mention of the Falls Road in my cursory goggling, so I’ll take your word pending further inquiries :) but did find these interesting summaries, useful to anyone with a shopping list to put together:

I did miss those Granny Smith apples though, in the Apartheid boycott, the South African ones were so sharp, nothing else came close.
The poor grannies of this day, sweet, pale, no sugar required………………apple pies have never been the same. The incident took place in a grocery store………….minor incident, one paddy refusing to buy…….apartheid apples from another paddy…………damn Irish, once they start that rightious shit………it’s game over. and it was. Forever immortalized in song, by the Bard, Christie Moore.
The first country (good or bad) to propose the idea of an EU was Ireland. I beleive the very first meeting was held there also………….so even the Irish can cock-up from time to time, just ask their commercial fisherman.

“A new viral video may threaten to rekindle old stereotypes related female drivers, as it features a seemingly clueless blonde who tried to fuel her electric car with gas.
The video, which first appeared on Reddit on Saturday, shows a blond woman walking around her Tesla Model S at a gas station, apparently trying to figure out how to refuel it and eventually even attempting to stick a gas pump nozzle into the vehicle’s charge port.
Eventually, one of the occupants of the car behind her — who were actually filming the whole thing and apparently couldn’t take it any longer — walked up to the lady and explained to her that her ride requires a different kind of juice.”

OK; it seems as if the US troops are being withdrawn from Syria. But reading the report on Zerohedge (yes, I know) all state dept personnel is being withdrawn.
Why don’t I trust this? Are they planning more strikes and getting their personnel out of the way?
Full statement from the Press Secretary:
“Five years ago, ISIS was a very powerful and dangerous force in the Middle East, and now the United States has defeated the territorial caliphate. . .”
“These victories over ISIS in Syria do not signal the end of the Global Coalition or its campaign. We have started returning United States troops home as we transition to the next phase of this campaign. . .”
“The United States and our allies stand ready to re-engage at all levels to defend American interests whenever necessary, and we will continue to work together to deny radical Islamist terrorists territory, funding, support, and any means of infiltrating our borders.”
What a coincidence just a few days after Russia had said it had set up a base on the 55 km limit of al tanf….and were there eports that Iraquis were really getting ready to eject usa out of Iraq….and Syrians were thinking of throwing out SDF too….no wonder SDF feel they have been stabbed in the back when Turkey is muscling in….
