Saker Webmaster
a woman on her own
reading at cafe’s table
about a life that’s gone
idly passing the
finger through strands
of hair and time.
lost in another world
close to the window
to where you are.
I’m looking through my glasses
the window disappears,
I feel the breeze, the cold
the silence in air
I see another world,
an isle in the night
alone, in safe and peace
and then I feel alright.
thank you Ras for the poem and opportunity to join !
clouds roll in dramatically from the east
obscuring the sun
that old resting spot by the river
dismantled and gone
swallows over the Sahara –
falling like flies into nothingness
a rising wind brings with it
drops of welcome rain
the moon turns red
before disappearing entirely
an attacking army –
its banners finally in disarray
the battered drunkard
no memory of ‘what happened’
the sadness in the eyes of a child
can at any moment become happiness –
and does!
the journey to one place begins
and ends in another place
the way is infinitely more interesting
when we lose ourselves
when we lose our way
and forget where we wanted to get to
and go with the way
that’s opened up
the panhandler praying to God
for a generous stranger

Dimitar, you once included a link to your website, and I always wanted to to express how wonderful I found the black and white drawings you make.
re editing, maybe one only needs a single poem in a life, to which one returns now and again, adding a line or two, changing a word here or there, adding a comma, or full stop, until by the end the poem is quite changed, transformed, different from how it began, like life itself…
Ras
Thanks so much, Ras. I have many new charcoals and will have some up soon at my website, perhaps I’ll post a link when its ready. Re: the editing, Basho, the haiku master said he kept repeating the poem till its best possible form appears. Thats exactly what I do. We get the images, ideas but getting the sequence right is the challenging part. There’s so often a better way. I get a sense of when to leave something alone, but not until I ‘get it right’. The above poem, responding to your lines, for example has been re-sequenced but I wont post it yet again. Pozdrav. D.
I said I wouldnt but it illustrates everything I was sharing with Ras above.

Bank of England refusing to release Venezuelan gold :
https://www-rt-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.rt.com/news/449833-venezuela-gold-bank-england/amp/?amp_js_v=a2&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQCCAE%3D#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rt.com%2Fnews%2F449833-venezuela-gold-bank-england%2F
Apparently it, along with the Gauido are concerned that it will be stolen by Maduro. Naturally they are very concerned about the effects thus would have on the welfare of Venezuelan citizens.
So keeping the bullion there helps them – how?
Such hypocrisy.
That’s a shameful mockery : when they invoke “humanitarian duty” to keep the Venezuelan gold, this lie has such a long beard, it reaches already the south pole. Nevertheless, such behavior is nothing but a continuity in a long and hard achieved career of the British Empire.
Nobody’s explained why gold would be kept in the Bank of England in the first place. What world are these people living in? The movie world, where the british are the upstanding, highly ethical ones? Get real!
Same with Swiss banks. It’s not even a political problem. We’re dealing with monkey suited pirates here. Plenty have made a fortune, put it in a Swiss bank, and the family was denied access after death. Your precious communism doesn’t teach you that, does it.
And communism hasn’t been even achieved, the road to communism was socialism under the banner of the communist party. What happened is this “You start out with a destination in mind. You end up somewhere else.” But, definitely, those socialist countries haven’t brought their gold kept in the Bank of England.
Let us not forget the small matter of Qaddafi’s gold…which magically went…Poof! all the way to…
That’s right. Nobody knows…
There are stories…I doubt them>

For any translator in duty, here is a poem in German :
Meine Aufgabe
von ioan
Ich bin so weit gegangen,
wer weiß, komm ich zurück?
Dem Schicksal gefangen,
Zum Leid oder das Glück!
Das hab ich nie für mich geträumt
Das hab ich nie für mich geplant,
Ein wiedersehen, ein guter freund
Begleitet von den unbekannt
Das Schicksal zeigte sich als Licht,
Der alte Spielerei hat schon begonnen,
Dann lachte er in mein Gesicht,
Ohne mich zu schonen
Mein Herr, ich nehme auf mein Hut,
wer kommt im klar mit Deine Waage?
In Deine Reich ich lebe Deine gut
In dies aber, ich fühle meine Aufgabe!
I went so far away,
who knows, will I come back?
Being captured to my fate,
To the suffering or the luck!
I never dreamed that for myself
I never planned that for myself,
A new begin, a good friend
Accompanied by the unknown!
The fate showed itself as light,
The old gimmick has already begun
Then he laughed in my face,
Without me to spare the fun
Sir, I take off my hat,
who comes in clear with your judgment?
In your world I eat your bread
In this, however, I feel my adjustment.
Aufgabe : given task, work, assignment, wrapped up in judgement, adjustment !
Thank you for the translation, I tried and failed, my German is simply not good enough, What an art translation is, how rigorous must be the the knowledge and understanding, and how free the interpretation !

Now, on this Sunday morning for something completely different, ( since I woke up thinking of old battleships) from the centrist rag the Guardian, which does occasionally feature some gems amongst the neo con dross.
A clip from a 1942 wartime morale boosting propaganda film: ‘Listen to Britain’ (you don’t have to take that literally, its optional):
https://www.theguardian.com/film/video/2012/apr/16/bfi-humphrey-jennings-listen-to-britain-video
The film clip is taken from this short opinion piece by a scriptwriter and children’s novelist, who opines that creativity is in everyone (I agree with that) but sometimes gets lost in the shuffle of conflicting narratives that are thrust at us continually from all sides, making finding your own particular narrative a confusing task rather than the satisfying pleasure that it could be. It is culturally specific, obviously, as it is written by a Brit for Brits, but the principle applies to all peoples and cultures whose fundamental similarities far outweigh their differences:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jan/27/no-longer-recognise-your-country-well-look-beyond-our-toxic-public-life
“You start out with a destination in mind. You end up somewhere else.” That’s true, very few of us can say they have fulfilled their dreams from the beginning all the way in their life, there’s always something happens, something gets in and the path is changing its course, the calculations can be thrown away, new calculations come in…for how long ? and so it goes and goes. When the war broke out, many people got ousted from their primarily plannings, it wasn’t by far a good feeling – and that en masse – but the war has also (strangely) contributed to a new planning, new dreams and new hopes have surfaced, a new sense of solidarity has been born. Once the war went over and forgotten, that solidarity slowly evaporated, new paradigms appeared, masses became individuals with planning a destination and ending up elsewhere.
……..and back to the normalisation of toxic public life of Britain with its secret courts, secret judgements and other Kafka-esque manoeuverings, designed to ensure that the left hand is ignorant of what the right hand is doing at any one time. The inquest on the death of Alexander Perepilichnyy gets a mention along with other scandalous cases we are not allowed to know about, let alone examine for truth:
https://www.theguardian.com/law/2019/jan/23/secret-judgments-database-opened-to-special-advocates-and-senior-judges
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt3y15DDv9M
Making fun of the UK official secrets…Rumpole of the Baily
Reading the Guardian I noted this:
“The new practice direction said: “A single printed copy and an electronic copy of each closed judgment and any related open judgment must be lodged with the [Royal Courts of Justice] senior information officer within 14 days of being delivered or handed down, for consideration for inclusion in the library of closed judgments now established in the Royal Courts of Justice.””
I note that the word “consideration” implies the intent to keep some material unfiled sine die or even perhaps be destroyed.
“Limited hang-out” light on my radar…
Somewhere else in the article it hints that some docs will not be kept at all, business as usual.
More on disappearing British documents. Given that shiploads of colonial documentation left various outposts of Empire during the withdrawal and only a very few shipments made it to the National Archives, this is nothing new:

Betty has apparently made an appeal for ‘common ground’ which, given my interest in the historical enclosures and clearances of common lands, happily passed me by.
Cartoonist Martin Rowson, however, is on the case to fill in the gaps:

Lyrics:
Blueberry Hill
Bill Haley & His Comets, Fats Domino, Little Richard
Hit it, Vladdy!
I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill
On Blueberry Hill when I found you
The moon stood still on Blueberry Hill
And lingered until my dreams came true
(The wind in the willow played
Love’s sweet melody
But all of those vows we made
Were never to be)
Though we’re apart, you’re part of me still
For you were my thrill on Blueberry Hill
(I found my thrill)
Come climb the hill with me, baby
(on Blueberry Hill)
We’ll see what we shall see
(on Blueberry Hill)
I’ll bring my horn with me
(when I found you)
I’ll be wit’ you where berries are blue
(the moon stood still)
Each afternoon we’ll go
(on Blueberry Hill)
Higher than the moon we’ll go
(and lingered until)
Then, to a weddin’ in June we’ll go
(my dreams came true)
Ba-ba-da-de-buzz-buzz va-de-n-da-day
The wind in the willow played (do you really love me)
Love’s sweet melody (as I love you?)
But all of those vows we made (will you still remember)
Were never to be (when the night is through?)
Though we’re apart, you’re part of me still
For you were my thrill on Blueberry Hill
Hi, Bro ! I found a poem written at 2017.January 5 here in the Cafe. It fits your Blue :
Blue and Red
by ioan
The man with his strange hair,
Will he bring us some fresh air ?
Many words and speculation
Till his Inauguration.
Who will come and who will go,
Does it matter in this show.
The stars and stripes on the flag
Shall remain, no change on that.
Things will have a new direction
In the old habits dimension
And the future lies ahead
In secured hands of the Fed.
Who can tell them what will be,
When it’s not for us to see ?
Maybe some future teller…
Some old guy like Uri Geller…
But let’s be more optimistic
And not leave it to the mystique :
( have a smile for a while…)
The rich will share with the poor
All their wealth, all their glamour
Changing their castle with your flat
You will be happy, they will be glad
But, you’ll need to have some pain
To make America great again…
“We want you” says the billboard
Otherwise you’ll be off boarded !
The partners shall meet anew
Practicing the old and new,
Till the Red and till the Blue.
The deal is done and is shared
With the Lion,
Who’s the King of life and death
And lives in Zion
Unless, things are moving bad
Making Kings and Queens sad,
The cake is sliced on the floor
According to the old new Rule :
” Take my cake
It’s blue and red
Then I’ll take yours
With the same colors ”
Will be changes ? Yes, will be
Take your time, wait, and see…
We shall see, said the blind insane,
Hitting the wall, thought its hurricane.

1.The Central Bank of Venezuela engages in theft (counterfeiting), the fact that this institution let Chavez and Maduro use–not have– this money, and some of this money helped the people of Venezuela for a time is besides the point.
2. A metastable condition was created in society.
3. Economic cause and effect ensues.
4. Pundits piously intone, “Socialism does not work.”
5. Trump, after being demonized by the denizens of the D.C. swamp (Clapper, Schitt et al.), has someone he can now demonize, and “win.”
Ray McGovern, Moon of Alabama, and my common sense of History say Trumpie is being mousetrapped into a Caribbean Crises worse than Bay of Pigs and the “missile crises” taken together.
Maduro is, sure, a target, so is Trumpie… Trumpie is primary target.
JFK stood down the hawks, but Trumpie?
And do not imagine that Mr Chin, and Ivan and Cagey Bear do not understand that violence is guaranteed, as Trumpie and his club have placed themselves in a position from which there is no retreat.
Maduro seems to be temporizing…but he’s a dead man walking and his Nation understands that it’s existence depends on solidarity and winning a fight, a long war, with Empire…as Cuba has, and Syria…
Root Hog or Die time… They will fight and force the US to go to plan B. There is no plan B…
It seems clear, at least to me, that trump is being played big time by the zio cons (abrams) and evangelists (pomp, pence). I very much doubt that he has even a clue because he has been so enraptured with his own awesomeness that he is unable to look outside of that realm.
I’m not all sure why the zios are setting him up, that is above my pay grade, because up to now, he has given them almost all they could have dreamed of (well, maybe syria but that is not a done deal yet).
It struck me recently that pomp advertises that he is an evangelist; they have been rabid supporters of the likudniks, israel, and the coming Rapture. Hence, the evangelists, the zios, come together, vile abrams brought back, or as Admiral Crowe, former head of JCS, during Iran contra, once said: that snake is hard to kill.
The Koch bros have anounced that they will not support trump in 2020 as they did in the past, they have been very supportive of pomp, so on it goes. Tin foil hat at rest
Trump is a “zio con” – why would he be setup by people with exactly the same motivations?
Because as Carlin remarked, its a small club and he (the Donald) ain’t in it.
He is the designated fall-guy or patsy and he is not clued up enough or flexible enough in his ‘thinking’ to turn the tables or get out of his designated role.
Mark Sleboda on Crosstalk today pointed out that it is not possible to mitigate or negotiate with the Imperium. As Russia discovered, as Qaddafi and Saddam and the Yugoslavians and the Ukrainians discovered, so it is for Trumpie…he does what they demand, and then the make new demands, thus loading upon this stooge all their own crimes…thus Trump is (as I have said for months) become a Pharmacos, a sacrificial goat.
Who remembers the story of frog and scorpion crossing the pond?
Trumpie has scorpion on his back…
Trump and the neocons report to the same masters. Trump is the most subservient Zionist ever to hold the office of the Presidency. But in any case, as far as Trump himself is concerned, the Venezuela situation fits in perfectly with his worldview. Trump is a militarist, a unilateralist and a unabashed Capitalist. Trump was against the Iraq war because it was a waste of money and there was no payoff. He wanted to steal Iraq’s oil. He has stated this many times. Such as this tweet from 2013:
I still can’t believe we left Iraq without the oil
In 2016 he said It used to be, To the victor belong the spoils, Now, there was no victor there, believe me. There was no victor. But I always said: take the oil.
Difficult to be more explicit than that. No Bolton. No Pompeo. No Pence. Just Trump. No need to look for Machiavellian manipulations.
Except that he, Trump, has been thoroughly manipulated since it became clear that he could be a winner in the election, that’s why the Adelson and Koch money was there for him. Neither of those types like to bet too heavily on a loser, which is why they often arbitrage their bets and play both sides.

Billions…billions etc …have gone somewhere but not to its rightful owners…
Sun Tzu advises circling the enemy but not entirely, leaving a path of retreat. This path of retreat–which of course will not be presented as retreat, but winning— entails the destruction of the Caribbean basin.
Mistakenly Trump see himself as Ronald Reagan, who can make deals with the white shoe boys, and maintain his domestic agenda.
The Talmud too rules that when laying siege to a town the Jewish army may surround on only three sides.
(Yes, Israel does not observe even their own Law, so what’s new?)
MMT’s Opening
Posted on January 21, 2019
By J.D. ALT
I recently read in the WSJ that Modern Monetary Theory is defined as the proposition that the federal government can borrow as much money as it needs so long as the interest rate it pays is less than the growth rate of the GDP. The short article, by Desmond Lachman, went on to argue why this was a dangerously false premise. Thus, MMT got shot with two bullets in one paragraph: first by defining it in a way that negates its most fundamental principle (that the federal government doesn’t need to “borrow” fiat currency in order to spend fiat currency), and second, by declaring MMT to be not only false, but dangerous.
It’s remarkable how stubbornly tenacious mainstream economic thinking is about misunderstanding and fearing MMT. The fundamental belief that refuses to be shaken is that for a sovereign government to spend, it must first claim—either through taxation or borrowing—some portion of the profits of private commerce. This immediately sets in motion complex calculations about what percentage of those profits can be claimed for government spending before the profit-making capabilities of private commerce, itself, are harmed (because the capital that would otherwise be used for expansion, is being appropriated for government spending). When that point is reached, the calculations insistently predict, private commerce will cease to grow—perhaps even shrink—which perversely will then reduce the amount of currency available for the government to claim a portion of; if, under those circumstances, the government continues nevertheless to increase its spending (by insistently increasing its taxing or borrowing), private commerce will be driven to shrink even further, setting in motion a disastrous downward spiral. The calculations, in other words, are structured to demonstrate that government spending per se strangles the goose that lays the eggs—and, therefore, it is rational to argue that government spending should be limited, and specifically that it should not exceed some calculated percentage of GDP (which, of course, in most calculations of this sort, it already does)!

a collapse of the facades of several houses occurred.
According to the news portal RTL, three houses are damaged. Under the rubble can be people.

I have been listening to the Revolutions Podcast by Mike Duncan for a number of years now and recently he is finishing up covering the Mexican Revolution in the early 20th Century and it is quite illuminating on just how much the US has been interfering in Latino politics. Of course, back in those days it was kept secret and not told how much arms and ammunition were left at Port Veracruz until later. However, today the hubris of this Empire is left open for all to see (who have eyes to see!) when they are quite brazen in interfering in the Internal politics of Venezuela.
I highly recommend his podcast Revolutions and he has a very long podcast on the History of Rome. Shortly he will be covering the Russian Revolution so I am holding my breath on that one…..

Shoigu broke the US monopoly: the expert commented on the reaction of NATO to the development
of the Russian Navy
January 28, 2019
In the West, they again showed a genuine interest in the military power of Russia and the activities of
the Ministry of Defense, headed by Sergei Shoigu. Thus, the NATO Defense College analyzed
Russia’s naval policy and the state of its fleet. Information about this is contained in the report, which
was published in January 2019.
In the North Atlantic Alliance, they stressed that the Russian fleet “possesses unprecedented capabil-
ities,” and this allows Russia to retain the title of second most powerful maritime power.
The authors of the report emphasize that the Russian Navy can easily inflict non-strategic strikes with
nuclear and conventional weapons on ground targets, which has become possible due to the “calibra-
tion” of modernized surface ships.
The military expert of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine, Alexei Leonkov, commenting on the
news to the Federal News Agency, first of all drew attention to the fact that the number of eulogistic
articles from foreign analysts and critics is equal in principle. That is, “when it is necessary, in the
West, we are scolded, then praised,” he said.
At the same time, there is objectivity in the NATO report, since Russia, in particular, the defense
department of the Russian Federation, is currently engaged in the planned rearmament of its armed
forces, including the Navy.
“We have a program, according to which the number of ships that we inherited from the times of the
Soviet Union will be replaced with fundamentally new means of armament, detection and target des-
ignation. Naturally, [everything will be conducted] with new equipment, which will mostly be digital,
”the military expert said.
According to the FAN interlocutor, after the successful use of the Russian Navy in Syria, surface and submarine ships equipped with missile weapons abroad began to seriously look at the Kalibr domestic
ship complex.
“The ships hit objects at a long range, first of all they were stationary objects of the groups“ Islamic
State ”1 and“ Dzhebhat-en-Nusra ”[organizations are prohibited in the Russian Federation]. All shoot-
ing ended with a 100% result, using the Caliber ship complexes. Many foreign experts said that
“Caliber” is a competitor of [American] Tomahawk, but it turned out to be even better than its charac-
teristics, ”added Leonkov.
The effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Russia in the fight against the radicals in the territory of the
Middle Eastern state very much excited the United States. Especially representatives of the Navy,
because for a long time the monopoly on this type of weapon remained with the United States, a mili-
tary expert added, and the Defense Ministry under the leadership of Shoigu actually broke this mo-
nopoly.
“After that, interest in the Russian complex grew several times. Most of the foreign customers, now
purchasing naval equipment from us, put one of the conditions for this complex to be necessarily on
the surface ships or submarines, as a means of armament, Leonkov explained.
“The Caliber family of missiles not only became a competitor to Tomahawk cruise missiles, but also
received a whole range of possibilities, which is determined by its capabilities: ship-to-ground missile,
ship-to-ship class, air or ground-based.”
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the newest Russian ship of mine defense “Ivan Antonov”
will be included in the Russian Navy. As the head of the Ministry of Defense noted, the Navy makes
an invaluable contribution not only to the protection of state interests, but also to the fight against
international terrorism.
1 Organization is prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation.

What is better, to remain silent or to say something which may hurt ?
Lavrov does it again, maintaining a mature strategic perspective, avoiding the Empire traps of immature Trump-bashing which many others just can’t quite seem to resist indulging in….much to the Empire’s Delight.
He puts it short, and sweet. Learn form him:
“In Venezuela, you don’t need Robert Mueller to prove that there is foreign interference in the Venezuelan people choosing their president.”
It is hard to imagine how you could pack more irony into such a short sentence about the current strategic situation.
I got only that far last night in putting Venezuela into perspective by catching up to The Silk Road Lady’s weekend wrapup with Harley Schlanger. and now must run about again…offline.
But she picked out the Lavrov sentence in this video……

Just wondering aloud, but are the student loans to attend an American university a way to entice young people to get into debt……a debt based on the empty promises of future prosperity?

@> “..are the student loans to attend an American university a way to entice young people to get into debt……a debt based on the empty promises of future prosperity?…”
Of course. These are odious debts and cannot be repaid, so the reality is that they are merely instruments of a Ponzi scheme. For a time they also are instruments of debt slavery…tic tic tic
I understand that in Land of Freedom the debt slaves are limited in their legal ability to depart the USA, ie they are captive persons in debt slavery. These debts are immune from bankruptcy. It is illegal unconstitutional debt slavery.
Because the debts are odious, some young graduates may illegally depart…and seek asylum. I would, if I were in such a situation. That sort of thing remains for the moment an evolving legalistic matter. So, planning to run out on odious debt…I should study? Well, Chinese and Russian…for a start…and learning a trade might be smart…and do not wait too long…you ought to expect to prove your new loyalty…and join the new Country’s army… (how else?)

So now the opposite position: carbon dioxide is not an important greenhouse gas. Only in traces it
occurs in the earth’s atmosphere, and it has its capacity to absorb heat rays, soon exhausted. Year
after year natural sources emit many times the amount of carbon dioxide that comes from civilization.
There is no evidence that carbon dioxide has ever caused warmer temperatures in the Earth’s history.
Rather, it was the other way round, higher temperatures have led to increased release of carbon dioxide.

Dima speaks to USA https://ccisf.org/video-russian-journalist-dimitri-babich-speaks-to-cci-group/
I listened with care to the entire interview. And I urge interest to all.
Dima posits that there exists a third totalitarian ideology other than communism and naziism. He names this third ideology “ultraliberalism” and states that this organizing ideology is super-national. He declares that this common enemy, utlraliberal ideology, must be defeated. He does not seem to develop methods with which this might take place. Evidently he has no idea. Below I suggest why.
He goes on. I agree that his view is correct, but say it’s incomplete. An ideology is simply a tactic, perhaps a Logos, It is used to shape beliefs and direct emotions and provide apology, but only if there’s an underlying energy can an ideology persist. This, I think, may be named Mathema, a learned method. For our time with respect to ultraliberalism it’s fair to say that the Mathema, the learned method, is plunder and looting by whatever means seems expedient, murder, bribery, and so on…
Plunder and looting is coded in the “Sporangious” and defining germ seed that grows according to circumstance and forms the Mathema that then curates whatever ideology it desires. Just as the grandfathers of some today curated the German nazis…Prescott Bush comes to mind… Myself I would say that Dima’s ultraliberals are merely cryptonazis – the same dark elite that curates whatever ideology or war it desires. Dima sees the nazi heart as ideological. This is probably an error. It’s closer to a pathology.
Because the Mathema is parasitic and acts like mycelia, let us assume they’re similarly tough. But they require a bit (not too much) oxygen and do poorly in daylight or if they’re disturbed, and feed on rot. They use neural networks to signal…but with this much anybody is liable to have ideas, eh?
Dima’s conclusion is solid, but his logic is incomplete…
Anyway that’s my critical opinion…
I found that interesting and also agree with his general observations. He did hit upon a partial solution in the use of language. Words that gain common currency carry with them meanings that are taken for granted as a given, everyone assumes that use of a particular word transmits the same meaning to everyone who hears or uses it. But that is not necessarily the case.
In an example, in business use of the latest buzzword or phrase for an age-old practice is the signifier of being amongst the elect, one of those in the know–but this new thing hailed as the best and latest innovation is still the same age-old practice in new window dressing.
There are words that I avoid using for that reason. There are words that I refuse to use because they mean something different to me than they do in common currency. There are words that I no longer even allow myself to use to myself, since I am the most persuasive person I know and can talk myself into anything, given enough time.
Language is powerful and much ill-used and abused. And it affects how we think. And it is the basic building blocks of narrative, your own or that of your oppressor.
Words are powerful but images, either behind or in front of the eyes, carry much more immediate weight for most people, myself the book-lover included.
Pain, immediate or remembered, I think surpasses both words and images as an indelible messenger, as it is imprinted in the flesh (that’s not an encouragement to self-harm, BTW).
On youtube you can find interview with KGB agent jumped off to US, explaining Sovjet´s communism and its work world wide brainwashing over 15-20 years in media, schools, universities, marxism-leninism, nanny state, etc.
Its done by breaking grammatic rules, called semantic manipulation, and it directs your mental perception of reality and emotions. Semantics = The teaching of words meanings and influence.
@Tomsen,
Yes it is a fairly well studied discipline, but I am more interested in how to root out what is implanted whilst the person is unaware than in how to brainwash in the first place. There was a lot of nonsense talked about the possibilities of brainwashing adults and studies done after the Korean war on POWs. If I were a POW I would attempt to not antagonise my captors too much if I hoped to survive, so I would keep my opinions to myself and nod along as much as possible. That’s just common sense.
I think that some human beings are very easily led, even as adults but that very few are ‘brainwashed.’ The element of choice is still there, even if it is not used to promote agency for oneself, and making a choice that later proves to not be in one’s best interests is not necessarily ‘brainwashing’—it is a mistake that can be rectified for the future.
Induced confusion is what is most often used to hoodwink someone who has displayed a vulnerability. That is not brainwashing, that is manipulation, usually of emotions. A confidence trick relies on the mark having confidence in the conman and only the mark can decide where he places his confidence, not the conman.
@one minion
I can hear you dont understand it. Its an extreme difficult mental exercise, an elite tool.
If you break grammatic rules, introduce or change to new positive/negative words, you can build up over time a programmed mind prison you will not be able to escape, if its done over a longer period 5-15 years.
Let me give you a simple example:
“John is garbageman”.
The effect on your senses and emotions of these 3 words hits you in a split second. In this split second you note John is his first name, John is a man, he works with collecting your garbage early in the morning, it smells bad, the garbage is heavy, he gets dirty, he need a bath every day, you remember the sound of the garbage truck in the early morning.
So in only 3 words you get true useful information to your senses; vision, hear, load, smell, sweat, wash. This makes you feel satisfied. You senses will also recognize John when you meet him 1-2 years later.
Now we tell you “garbageman” is old fashioned, outdated, a discrimination of John, an offence.
We have invented a new better word “renovation service member” and we only call him by his family name Mr. Jones.
We tell you this word is more modern, rich societies use it, it gives John more dignity and the politicians, movie actors, start use it in MSM.
So you now have “Mr. Jones is a renovation service member”. This sentence only hit your senses in a neutral manner and makes questions inside your brain, and an emotion of a little irritation, in-satisfaction, confusion.
Mr. Jones can be anybody, what is “renovation”? Does he work with plaster, big garbage, in office or what? Member what? You may not recognize Mr.Jones when you meet him again after 1-2 years as he says you nothing.
As you dont wanna be old fashioned, discriminate John, but like to be modern, rich society and give John dignity, you will by yourself begin to use this sentence in your language, that you absolute dont get any satisfactory information from, which only leave you a little confused.
If you try to escape the trap laid, continue to use the precise info word garbageman, the group thinking will secure you are locked into the new word, as other people quickly will teach you how old fashioned and discriminating you are toward Mr. Jones.
So you are now in a mental prison with double lock on you never can get out from again. You are forever condemned to use the new stupid sentence, and have lost the previous true fact information that made you good.
This is called semantic manipulation. Multiply with 100-500-1000 words/changes and you can programme how people see/avoid a reality. Its also called “Perception Management”. But is pure poison to the brain.
Tomsen,
You are making an awful lot of unwarranted assumptions about my, and everybody else’s brain and cognitive processes.
Even neurologists admit that they have only a hazy and primitive understanding of how any one brain might work.
I speak only what I know about how my brain works or doesn’t work. It is an operator’s manual, if you like, that I have compiled over a lifetime of trying to figure it out from the inside. What works for me and what doesn’t. I make no claims that this is definitive or even applicable to anyone else in different circumstances, I have never been anyone else so cannot do that.
You seem very taken with the notion of being locked into a mental prison. I would suggest a quick course in lock-picking, it might give you some workable ideas on how to get out of your mental prison. If that doesn’t work, no matter, you will never have to worry about losing your house keys, ever again.
Im not talking about you and me, but which tools are used to get the sheeple into acceptance of Nazism, Bolchevism and totalitarian systems. The majority can be hypnosed and manipulated, and an uncomfortable minority cannot. Anyway, keep feeling good about yourself.
Tomsen,
One of my major aims is to feel good about myself. And I count myself as one of ‘the sheeple.’ I can hypnotise myself better than anyone else could ever hope to do and we all learn to manipulate at our mother’s knee.
So where does that place you? Are you immune to all this, or outside if it all, looking down on us sheeple?
Jump in, the water is lovely.

Also BTW, the ‘Handbook of Imperialist Theory’ you were looking for on another thread is, I believe, referring to Virgil’s ‘Aeneid,’ an epic verse that was standard study for kids in classics classes, along with the ‘Iliad.’ I did respond to your query there but don’t know if it posted.
After the reflective change of some hours of sleep, I think that the most terrible thing I learned from Dima’s presentation is that Dima and, I naturally assume, the gentlemen of the Kremlin, are horribly naive. One tilts at windmills when one attempts to fight an ideology. The ideology is merely the bullfighter’s cloak…
I agree with what you’ve said of words. Probably 100%. And BTW, me too. I was heavily influenced in my youth in this respect, by a close relationship with intellectual senior legal experts….and, well, you can imagine how lawyers examine syntax and consider each word with microscopic deliberation…and the lessons stuck.
I did think that the “Handbook” reference might refer to Aeneid…thank you.
I have posted previously and here re-post two Michael Parenti videos…which Dima perhaps ought to consider (and perhaps he may read Saker, or perhaps a pal of his)

Of all people G. Carlin too, Parenti and Carlin describe what lies at the origin of totalitarian ideologies and acts quite clearly. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=carlin+small+club+and+you+aint+in+it
The “Sporangious” transmission of the evil Mathema has created several ideologies…Bolshevism, Nazism, and now Dima’s Ultraliberalism…the heart is a simple criminal club of psycos. They wear pants and dresses, breathe air, and the names of these spore-capsules are public.
In a single word, one might simply say “evil (spore)”. These transmit the fungus, and it controls them.
When I speak with new persons I check their hands, and if they are soft and pink I suspect that their owner is some sort of parasitic person…anyway liable, willing, to carry evil ideology. A suspect.
I have never met a club member, but have had, long ago, some truck with a very small number of senor members of the client class, the enabling class that works directly for the club. They are “Ciceros”. They have qualities in common, and soft hands… And they are odious.
At the risk of oversimplification and, more important, risking the glamorization of evil…I posit that Mathema by any other name is the same:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgnClrx8N2k
And the answer is Anathema! Get thee behind me!
I don’t think that the current Kremlin gentlemen are necessarily naïve, their combined experience would indicate otherwise to me. The problem is that in battling an existing and tenacious ideology, as they are attempting to do, it is necessary to work on two fronts, internal and external, almost simultaneously. To an outside observer that may look like an unco-ordinated lurching between poles at times but I think that the main current players (Mr’s P, Lavrov and Shoigu) all have a clear, practical and pragmatic notion of what is the best direction for their nation and are fully engaged in making it a reality.
I wish them luck and expect them to succeed.
Thanks for the link. Most enlightening link I have seen or many years. Thumbs up.
We may have a word for Dima´s ultraliberalism = globalism. We only need to fight it down to its grave.

I was looking for something else and came across this old Pilger film looking back at what happened in Cambodia and the aftermath, 10 years on from the bloodbath (the aftermath is still happening now. The current president is ex-khmer rouge).
The geopolitical parallels between Cambodia and what is happening now to Venezuela is staggering. Briefly, Cambodia was neutral until it was targeted by the US for destabilisation in its ambitions to control Vietnam which is/was seen as the bridge between China and the rest of Asia. A monster was created by other monsters (Maggie and her great pal Pinochet, amongst many others).
There is a point, from about minute 17 where some British Government minister of the time, Lord Brabazon of Tara (Anglo planted in colonial Ireland centuries ago, obviously) trots out some justification for supporting the Khmer rouge that Cameron used again quite recently regarding Syria, saying that there were really bad head-choppers and moderate head-choppers who could be supported and used by the good guys. The sound bite is abruptly terminated by the FO handler in the background.
Britain took no active or open part in that conflict but did feed and train terrorists and support Khmer rouge on the world stage, even after the Vietnamese mercifully invaded and toppled Pol Pot and his murderous crew. Cambodia lost 25% of its population in the genocide and the casualties are still visible on every street.

” In Colombia, all the wealth (coffee plantations, minerals, drug production and drug trafficking) has long been divided between American corporations, mobsters and local landowners. In Venezuela, though, there is still a lot of state-owned property that can be privatised. First of all, it goes about the oil industry and millions of square meters of social housing. If neoliberals win in Venezuela, the lives of ordinary citizens will only worsen. Do people of the young generation of Hugo Chavez understand this ? ”

That was an informative piece covering what Venezuela is up against in more detail and comparing it to other LA states that are in similar or worse condition, eg Colombia, but Honduras and Nicaragua also seem to be equally suffering.
Good news too in the final paragraph— with a very telling last sentence:
‘On Sunday, President Maduro announced the establishment of special forces to struggle against potential putschists. These forces – Comando Antigolpe – will involve armed forces, police, central government and all revolutionary forces with Vice-President Tarek El Aissami in command, EFE wrote. The forces will take “preventive legal measures against all conspirators and terrorists inside the country to prevent the overthrow of the legitimate government, riots and chaos. Any revolution is worth it only when it can protect itself.’
If you are able to get this video where Maduro addresses Trump in English, you will understand as will everyone in Latin America, that Maduro is going to give the gringos one h-ll of a fight! Hoy Venezuela, manana nosotros! is the cry of solidarity.

Lukashenko rushed to the West after a skirmish with Putin
2019-01-28
Difficulties in relations with Moscow radically changed the behavior of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Now the head of the fraternal republic has decided to expand the foreign policy vector in
the direction of the West. The Old Man did not find a way to agree on energy prices with the Kremlin,
after which he decided to ask for a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The government of the republic has already created a working group, whose specialists will be en-
gaged in developing a plan for “structural reforms”. According to Nezavisimaya Gazeta, all the
steps of this working group will be implemented after consulting with experts from the IMF.
In Minsk, they do not rule out that in the coming years Moscow may stop subsidizing the economy of
Belarus by means of discounts on gas and oil. In addition, the Belarusian side was offended by the
refusal of Moscow to pay compensation to Minsk for the so-called Russian tax maneuver. Earlier,
Lukashenko complained that the republic’s economy would lose about 10 billion dollars because of
this maneuver.

Medvedev answered Lukashenko: We maintain a very large amount of support; more than $65 billion.
We do not demand repayment of loans in conditions when the markets of Western countries are
closed for us. In essence, we help by borrowing money from our economy. This should be appreci-
ated, arguing about allied relations.
It is not for the first time that Minsk is attempting to push in the direction of the International Monetary
Fund. Belarusian politicians have repeatedly promised the organization to carry out reforms in ex-
change for funding, but they could not agree. According to analysts, this happened because
Lukashenko managed to come together with Moscow in the price of oil and gas. Experts believe it
possible that the current Belarusian “maneuver to the West” is an attempt to blackmail Russia, since
in Minsk they know how the Kremlin is nervous about the possible loss of Belarus as its geopolitical
opponent.

I seem to be working my way through RT’s documentaries at the moment. Some diverse subjects there. This one is about US veterans in an organisation that helps them in sorting out their own problems.
The veterans talk individually about how they are piecing together whatever their experience has shattered for them, stuff that works and stuff that doesn’t. Its quite emotional stuff so be forewarned. Its called ‘US veterans: Not forgotten’, with ‘Not Forgotten’ the name of the organisation. About an hour running time:

I watched the Danny Dorling video, which, I believe you mentioned. see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USYCOYcloNg
He and Michael Parenti (and I) are in agreement.
Approximately the same thing is ongoing in our town and the scattered small clusters of villages. The working poor are doubling up, they have barely enough to live. And the upper class, the client class of lawyers, dentists engineers are frightened and losing ground – and of course a few are rolling in money.
I do agree with the eugenicists Dorling refers to, but claim that it is not a “smart gene” that the rich are conserving, but a genetic wolfishness…no different than breeding a viscous line of dogs.
I read and watched all your relevant links and agree that each author is giving his idiosyncratic take on what our communal prospects are, logically, likely to be— grim all round except for small enclaves which manage a form of self-sustainability and will probably themselves need fortification to survive. Interestingly, I read recently that serfs in the middle ages actually worked one third less (actual time on the job) than our modern workforce of 9-5 is accustomed to.
I disagree with you on the genetic weight that can be attached to a later behaviour pattern. I believe that the ‘wolfish gene’ is a potential in all of us and is either nurtured or discouraged by events and influences to produce the mature version. Honest geneticists also underscore that findings in their discipline are at best indicators of potential, not an immutable sentence for future behaviour or pathology, (the old nature/nurture wrangle).
I have never been much of a believer in salvation (or anything else for that matter, seemingly totally lacking in the ‘belief gene’) but the human ability to adapt in the face of adversity has been what has ensured our survival to date and I do hold that adaptability coupled with a stoic endurance of hardship is our best bet for outliving our current inhuman system of oppression. I certainly won’t live to see it, in global terms, but I have already experienced it in a small way in my own small life, so know it is a possibility.
Pravda says: “Since January 18, virtually the entire aluminum industry of the Russian Federation is moving under the control of the US Treasury. We believe that the Security Committee of the State Duma should appeal to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the FSB and the government to look into the legality of the agreement and its compliance with Russian national security interests, because in such a situation the Americans take control of Siberia,” Nikolai Kolomeytsev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma’s Labor Committee said.

italic textPompeo’s second “truth” is the self-evident fact of American exceptionalism. He told his listeners that “America is a force for good in the Middle East.” Pompeo does not articulate the reference, but his claim taps into the Christian image of the U.S. as “a shining city on the hill”—a God-blessed light unto the nations. This was one of Ronald Reagan’s favorite themes.
As proof of American’s alleged beneficence, Pompeo makes a series of dubious claims about the behavior of the United States government. Here are a few. Comments within brackets are those of this author:
“For those who fret about the use of American power, remember this: (No.1) America has always been, and always will be, a liberating force.” [Since World War II we have been liberating dictators from their own rebelling people.] (No.2) “We assembled a coalition to liberate Kuwait from Saddam Hussein.” [The subsequent two Gulf Wars plus the U.S. imposed sanctions regime killed at least half-a-million Iraqis.] (No.3) “And when the mission is over, when the job is complete, America leaves.” [Unless the “liberated” countries’ government wants Washington to establish bases which, it seems, they almost always do. The U.S. now has some 800 military bases in 70 countries around the world.] (No. 4) The U.S. and its allies helped destroy most of ISIS, and in the process “saved thousands of lives.”[There is no official number for the civilians killed in the so-called war on terror, of which the campaign against ISIS is but a part. However, there is no doubt that, to date, it is at least in the high hundreds of thousands. ] (No.5) “Life is returning to normal for millions of Iraqis and Syrians.” [Unless you have a really perverse definition of “normal,” this is a total fantasy.]
Rescuing Foreign Policy
According to Pompeo, achievements No. 4 and No. 5 are due to the “fact” that President Donald Trump rescued U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Rescued? Rescued from what? From the foreign policy of Barack Obama, of course.
So here we have it. What motivates Secretary of State Mike Pompeo: (No. 1) Christian zealotry (No. 2) American exceptionalism and (No. 3) a personal dislike of the first black president of the United States. In terms of the position he holds in the government, this is a losing combination for the rest of us. Personally, I would not trust this man to guide the ongoing relationships between my own neighbors and me, so you can imagine my horror at having to put up with him as secretary of state.

As a historian and peace researcher, the UN’s prohibition of violence is for Dr. med. Daniele Ganser a
very important, a central point of the world politics. If all countries know and respect this prohibition of
violence, the existing international chaos could be replaced by a just order.
The declaration of human rights can not be implemented by a massive bombing. On the contrary. Drop-
ping bombs always violates human rights because innocent people are always killed. “All human beings
are free and born equal in dignity and rights. They are gifted with reason and conscience and should
meet each other in the spirit of brotherhood, “stresses the Declaration of Human Rights, which was unanimously approved by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1948. “Everyone has the right to
life, freedom and security of the person.”
The fact that the US does not adhere to the prohibition of violence is obvious.
This topic is currently because the US government is preparing a coup in Venezuela.

Here is a picture of a blatant two faced criminal trying to look cute as he announces, “We certainly need peace with Russia. Cold, but peace. People are tired of war”, Poroshenko said at a forum in Kiev broadcast by Ukrainian television channels.
Poroshenko also stated that he would run for a second term as Ukrainian President in elections on 31 March. The statement comes after Petro Poroshenko signed a law to terminate the Treaty on Friendship with Russia starting from 1 April 2019. (April Fool’s Day indeed !)
Note … he is running in fourth place with about 11% estimated voter confidence, which is no confidence at all. Could begin handing out extra heavy duty very smooth chocolate cookies with that cute look of childlike innocence …

China: Beijing reaffirms support for Maduro
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j2h-KkyBPk
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Geng Shuang confirmed Beijing’s recognition of
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, while speaking at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.
“President Xi Jinping’s special envoy attended the inauguration ceremony of President Maduro. If we
didn’t recognize him, why did we need to attend it?” the Foreign Affairs spokesperson asked rhetoric-
ally.
Earlier today, the Chinese spokesperson also criticized the fresh US sanctions imposed on Venezuela
and warned that they would worsen living conditions in the South American country, adding that the
US will bear responsibility for any “serious consequences” of the sanctions.
The political crisis over Venezuela escalated last Wednesday, when opposition leader and head of the
National Assembly Juan Guaido swore himself in as interim president. Within 24 hours, a number of
countries, including the United States, recognised Guaido’s presidency.

A beautiful summer day. The family is gathered for afternoon tea in the dining room as a special occasion, because the children are visiting. Three generations are together and enjoy the hospitality of the grandparents. A window is open and the soft summer sunshine floats in on the breeze, along with a buzzing bee! The family is visited by a winged insect with a sting and it circles the spread table, and all take note and some, especially the children are afraid.
Before a word can be said, Grandpa says aloud:— The years have made my hands to wrinkle and the skin is so thick that if the bee stings me I won’t feel it!
And Grandpa holds out his hand upon which the bee alights. To the amazement of all the bee stings his hand, and Grandpa says:— I don’t feel a thing. And now the bee will die.
The bee flew away out the window.
Later I came to learn that Grandpa served under the Americans during the War as a liaison officer for the British. His task was to influence the American command without disclosing the source of his adamant convictions, the Enigma project. Even a bee could not resist his spirit.
Love this story!
Remember the Independent Film dude I met at the crypto conference at the Mansion in Beverly Hills?
His unpolished only partially edited documentary on Cryptocurrencies is somewhere in The Vineyard Community Page.
We think very differently. He uses social media.
I don’t.
Time permitting, I want to get to the more strategically crucial Venezuelan Puzzle
London Paul terms it something like ” A Very Complex and Convoluted Mystery Wrapped in an Enigma, Wrapped in a Tragedy”….and sees the Tragedy in Trump and the Cabal (who he believes are NOT the same thing….) failing together in Venezuela….and BOTH going down.
And that its more about GOLD and the Final Throes of The Empire’s Petro-Dollar…than even about OIL, says Paul. The Dollar’s Gotterdammerung.
I realize many here will cheer The Fall of the Donald MORE than the Fall of the Cabal….or The Demon Dollar
But what if Paul is right and The Donald receives belated near world-wide recognition and credit for Taking Them Down, and Nobly Going Down With the Empire Ship……thereby Saving Humanity????.
How would THAT suit you???? LOL.
Such a strategic puzzle requires some mental muscle conditioning, and if nothing else, the Crypto-verse is good for that. So here’s what I wrote to Crypto Independent Film Dude:
Dude:
Here. Put your crypto-brain to work.
Is Ryan X Charles, CEO and President of Money Button correct???
Regardless of whether he is or is NOT Satoshi (LOL) is it possible that What The Obnoxious and Unpopular Dr Craig Wright is saying and Mr Charles is saying below about BSV being the “true vision of Satoshi” is MORE TRUE than the current BTC and BCH???
https://youtu.be/CrV0cS21bE8 Bitcoin SV, the Bitcoin Cash Split, and Money Button
Regardless of social media (those trends can change FAST….like the “social winds”) what if this FACT…(if it IS a fact) dawns first on millions more people like Mr Charles……that have to work with either the BSV, BTC or BCH blockchain every day…..and seeing BSV not die, and being superior,,,,,more and more ADOPT IT!!!
Then What, Superficial Popularity Driven, Emotion Driven Twitter Birds???
Could that practical, “hands on” working preference for BSV consciousness, over time, and many, many working reports on the subject by CEOs and company presidents such as Mr Charles……filter, over 2-5-10 years into the awareness of hundreds of millions MORE…but far less “hands on” interested persons, including HODLers???
T Lopez said “I wouldn’t bet against The Brand…” .BITCOIN. But think about it!: BSV, BCH and BTC (core) ALL were built on the original blocks of BTC. They are ALL variants of The Brand. But which will stand the Test of Time, Usage and Most Massive Long Term Adoption????
For, “There’s the Rub!” as in 100….1000…..or 10,000 X ………..potential gains….Rubbing of thumb against index and middle finger………..lol
What if current BTC is Coca Cola ICE……..BCH is Coca Cola Lemon………or Lime…….and BSV is Coca Cola……er Bitcoin CLASSIC???? Satoshi Version, For Real??????
At under $70 currently you can hedge for that possibility NOW with 50 times more coins than your BTC HODLer stake………for the same amount of Soon-To-Be Worthless USD……
You get my drift???
Forget the Social Media Whims of the Moment (which may only have short term durability!!) and consider:
1. Long term fundamentals…regardless of price or current “popular” understanding of what is what…….
2. Risk/Reward Ratio.
Crypto is supposed to be about consciousness raising, being more responsible for yourself, being your own bank and taking DOWN the Cabal that runs the world’s Central Banks of Fraudulent Fiat Counterfeit Inflatable to ZERO worth fraud-ridden currencies.
Leading an Army of One Sovereign Mind….not following the herd of sheep being led to the slaughter by ……..The CABAL OWNERS OF FACEBOOK, TWITTER, Instagram…..etc.
You follow my drift???
@Bro Not to bait you, but what does the Q community have to say about Venezuela?
