A lot of netizens seem to take umbrage with the news of a German coach Markus Gisdol becoming coach of Russian team Lokomotiv. Pardon my ignorance, but what is the problem, and why is it one?
While gleaming through news headlines on Yandex on my phone, I came across this:
https://yandex.ru/news/story/CHitateli_Die_Zeit_prizvali_zadumatsya_oSevernom_potoke__4–6e54926aadbb5f7e27b1152e2e7d26a7
Of the 144 people who ’emoted’ (or whatever else you’d call it), the ‘thumbs-up’ emoji suggests that most people are happy with this. The readers on RIA
https://ria.ru/20211009/potoki-1753825134.html
also seem to take this well.
But when I go to the same on InoSMI
https://inosmi.ru/economic/20211009/250670556.html
the readers paint a different picture. They… don’t seem happy.
This dissonance in atmosphere does not end here. Another example, from a week ago:
RIA: https://ria.ru/20211004/kurily-1752934475.html
InoSMI: https://inosmi.ru/politic/20211004/250621644.html
I don’t know what explains this dissonance, considering the RIA article has a link to the InoSMI one. What gives? Am I missing anything?
The age of the personality cult is long over, didn’t Woody Guthrie even say ‘everyone will be famous for ten minuets in the future’, some time ago ? Ten minuets isn’t very long, in order to prolong it, then the personality has to fade and the message grow stronger, and if people don’t care for the message, then they will move on.
True fame lasts for centuries, or does it, will Shakespeare be quoted in the 22nd century? I don’t know, perhaps, but his spirit is eternal, as we all are! . “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” Matthew 24-25. be careful therefore, not to create an illusory philosophy, life style, eternity, as Satan strives to do and blankets the mind in luscious delusion, of one kind or another….
The earth as it is, this is enough and all we need to be fighting for.
Fighting for not in the sense of agendas like climate change and extinction rebellion, but to live and listen to nature, the spirit that permeates all things, and whose beauty we can always find if we fight our own preciousness and self illusions – so hard… but the poets know it best, the musico’s also…
If you find this marvel then life is yours and cannot be lost., yours, in the sense of belonging to the whole, never lost, in the sense of always being re-found.
If we can’t connect then we fail each other, and fail nature. we want to die, and suicide is the the greatest killer. We seem to be going through that time now, of hardship and failure, perhaps like the pre war years of the 1930’s, no problem if you don’t sense this but it’s happening. Also, don’t forget many people are waking up!
Here’s the old song from the old Mississippi, ‘that just keeps rolling along and don’t say nothing…’

Andy Warhol: “In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes”.
In February 1968 Warhol exhibited his first international retrospective exhibition at the Moderna Museet gallery in Stockholm. The exhibition catalogue contained “In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes.”
But of course now it is disputed that this was a Warhol original, that he “sponged” it from somewhere.
But where and when, the disputers don’t elaborate.
Going back, I seem to remember it was Woody Allen who first made this statement, but note above I wrote Woody Guthrie… anyhow, my point being naturally, the actual sentence, the significance of this which I elaborated on….
In the arts, a theme, whether in music, painting, sculpture, whatever, is anyway carried further by another. Art evolves, only you and I run the risk of becoming Woody.
This cannot possibly be real. This monument to Merkel! Please tell me it is a hoax. Got the pic from Col Cassad’s livejournal. Its a balance thing – balance is all wrong.

What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore-
And then run?
Maybe it just sags
Like a heavy load
Or does it explode?
– Langston Hughes
Here is an unusual story of a dream deferred. Lahiri Mahasaya had an unfulfilled wish to experience a palace. His guru was kind enough to oblige him.
https://www.lahiri-mahasaya.org/babaji-kriya-yoga/
Thank you Anomalous, for reminding me of this passage, I had read the book “Autobiography of a Yogi” a long time back.
A dream cannot be deferred – the opposite is true.
‘Deferring’ is a concept of consciousness.
Cosciousness in a world of interested lies.
C.G.Jung showed, the dreaming unconsciousness always tends to present,
the compensating images, necessary to keep a balanced day.
“We must not picture the unconscious either as order
or as disorder. The experience proves both. Therefore with
unordered consciousness order can come out of the
unconscious, and coversely, with too narrow a cosmos
of consciousness out of the unconscious breaks chaos in.”
http://astromundanediary.blogspot.com/2021/09/venus-in-scorpio-waiver-for-species.html
So much C.G.JUNG on the balance and the compensating function, basicly
ruling in life’s chart.

1) Sorry just realized that was a “metaphor” not an “analogy” I drew
2) also auto correct changed word initially of word “metaphor” to “mega horse”
3) ( good thing I caught it )
4) or else no point in making correction
5) cuz then u b like “he meant mega horse” not “analogy”

I’ve always complained about the lack of 1-dollar coins in the USA as symptomatic of its backwardness relative to the rest of the West, with Canada, the Eurozone and Australia having coins of not only 1, but 2 dollars in circulation.
Now it’s Russia’s turn to set an example for the US, if not the whole world. Until then, one can only dream, because in the meantime…
https://ria.ru/20211011/kupyura-1753939502.html
Among the comments in the article, some have pointed out the problem of inflation and the unnecessarily small value of the 10-, 50- and 100-ruble notes – guess I’m not alone anymore.
If there were news concerning similar reforms with coins, then I must have missed it.
I thought cash was still king in Russia as it is in Germany and Japan, unlike in China (where electronic payments are becoming more and more popular) or in the USA (which, with its delusions of grandeur, pretends that inflation doesn’t exist).
Score one for Belarus, I guess.
Its not that they dont believe it exists, they do, they just have a different definition of it. To them its always transitory, takes a year to determine, and will come back down. Now in order for the Fed to have a problem with inflation, they need to see significant price increases for 3 years before they can convince themselves that inflation this time is here and needs to be addressed.
The only price inflation that has rattled the Fed was after the Arabs demanded a larger cut of the oil profits in the early seventies (they had been adding the oil profits to the Feds balance sheet, and once that evaporated the gvt needed money and quickly). This lead not only to higher prices but the demand interest rates be allowed to rise above the 2000 year limit of 10%, the seeds of inequality were sown.
The same is about to occur in parts of Europe, the days of stealing cheap russian gas are gone, as are Europes natural gas energy reserves. And a fight for heat will develop in the form of , you guessed it, higher prices, leaving everyone in that trading and consuming energy block competing to stay warm w/o acquiring empty pockets in the process, Europes prices are already the highest in the world and the U.S. follows the European model.
Now if some of these countries are preparing to beef up their monetary system with monetary inflation controls b/c they see the electronic inflation bug being born and raised, and control enough global resources (oil and gas and gold ect). They might be able to avoid the global inflation parasite of, too much money chasing to few deliverable goods.
The ultimate price inflation critter.
Yeah, maybe my notion of the US pretending that inflation doesn’t exist was a bit of a stretch.
What I had in mind originally, and still stands, was how the USA neglected to remove low-denomination coins from circulation, replace low-denomination notes with coins, and (re)introduce larger-denomination notes. With the dollar being worth a sixth of what it was worth in 1971, and pennies and nickels costing more than 1 and 5 cents to mint apiece, there should hypothetically be pressure to follow the examples of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. and modernize USian coinage such that a single coin is enough for a drink from a vending machine.
Well like w/everything, it was said by politicians that “the people” demanded paper money in the name of convenience.
And the test came in 1979 when the $1 coin was circulated and did not meet w/much public fanfare.
The trouble w/politics today is that there are 1000 ways to do something wrong, and only one best right way, and they have to try all the wrongs ways first.
Past education is where they lacked the discipline to corral the corruption.
Think kids and candy stores and consequences.
Very well, then. If most USians would much rather receive vending machine change in stacks of quarters than to use a coin specifically designed for coin-op machines in general, so be it. I reckon that a future scenario would be not unlike what Belarusians had to put up with until 2016, unless vending machines in the future become sophisticated enough to dispense banknotes as change.
Speaking for myself, the last thing I want is a cashless society, and this is what makes me lament the absence of a $1 coin in the US so much.
Well the coin is here, and you are free to use it at any time of your choosing. I choose to not use it right now, I hope to use it in abundance at some time in the future, but the future is so uncertain that I’m not adding it yet to my survival list, that’s long way off, if we can afford a long ways.
News has come out earlier that Russia’s Rospotrebnadzor has suspended the import of a number of GMO products from China.
https://yandex.ru/news/story/Rospotrebnadzor_priostanovil_vvoz_ryada_produktov_sGMO_izKitaya–b25b89ddef1ff37a80a6f1ac48f19e07?lang=ru
Until now I always thought that China, like Russia, had laws against GMOs (and so does most of Europe, albeit not to the same extent as Russia’s). What is China’s law regarding GMOs?
I may not see all the sides of this from a Chinese perspective but I know a little. They are not growing gmo food, without certain requirements necessary. They seem to put a high value on “biological breeding programs”. They’ve also started processes to save their own seeds (seedbanks, growing them out and so on) and protect their own biodiversity. But, they still import, especially corn and vast amounts of soybeans from Brazil and the US. Now for soybeans, there is a very small seed base that is not gmo. And for corn, we’re getting there as well.
https://www.newfoodmagazine.com/article/155791/gmos-china-commercialisation/
So, all I can think is that these products were made out of Chinese imports and good that Russia rejected it.
Latest from RT re cookie quen 3 day talks..Russia comments
“I cannot say that we have made great progress. The topics of visas, the operating conditions of diplomatic missions, the rotation of diplomatic staff, the overall normalization of the activities of Russian foreign missions in the United States and the United States in Russia retain a significant crisis potential, and it cannot be ruled out that some further exacerbations are possible in these areas,” he said.
“The positions of the parties do not fit well. Americans do not listen to our logic and our demands. But nevertheless, the conversation was useful,” he added….”
Useful to know it was pointless of course and confirm they are dealing with nihilistic persons and government …would be great if a transcript would be released to show the world so we might wish or not to examine the USA psychological practise of what I might think to call “null politics”…. their inverted confusion..twisted ideology beliefs and thinking..
Meanwhile Putin says he is otherwise engaged and will not attend the next G20….connected?

MORE – Moscow not ruling out the temporary shutdown of all US, Russian diplomatic missions says Russian Deputy FM Ryabkov.
————————–
Sadly 2 Syrian reporting accounts suspended…usually very reliable and on the spot so to speak
I was hoping the Russians would not allow Cookie Monster Nuland a visa until they had the diplomatic properties returned.
Or similar major concessions.
But they agree to a “reciprocity” of Nuland visa for some nobody Russian, and the US can then slap a no visa restraint on someone else.
Shame.
I wanted a showdown standoff
I also want to know what was so important that Nuland herself requested to visit Moscow
I’ll take a guess. They have a problem with placing spies in Russia – there are just not enough staff to create spies in the US embassies and they cannot use locals, so they have to sweep their own floors and get their own cabs and order their own lunch.
Now, they’ve been challenged.
“We suggest lifting all restrictions that have been imposed by both sides over the past few years,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a news release after the talks. ”
I think there was a showdown standoff but we’re not privy to see it. Cookies is leaving with nothing! A clear nyet!
‘I wanted a showdown standoff’ … that wont be fun enough… rus should allow it and welcome it and at the choke point airport…
rus should detain cookie and put her to house arrest for 300 hundred years for ‘fk the eu’ phone call (and no it does not hv to make sense no even legal just ‘rule based order’)
or strip search and anal probe cookie for suspecting her innards is loaded w drugs (like USA did to the indian diplomat) or check for the concealed ‘goods’ for next round of viral biological weapons like they did in the army games
We Remember! Donald-J-Trump-prototype!
you are not the only one w buttons! and you can find out, if TDS is lethal!
btw what you didnt know and you will Never hear from your media or even foreign press – the failed meeting at Switzerland YJS from china left visibly angry from the Front Door, First, and moments later JS from USA left from the side door, even though the front door was wide open. dont believe me, go ask your foreign press JanGirl!

Russia and the US have agreed to continue discussions on the situation in the east of Ukraine, with both parties seeing eye-to-eye on the need for Kiev to implement the controversial Minsk agreements to create peace in the region.
That’s according to Dmitry Kozak, the Kremlin’s deputy chief of staff, who spoke to the media after a meeting in Moscow with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland.
Further explanation of the discussions ahem re embassy staffing

hi Per,
regarding your rss post on school rape in Loudon County.
I lived nearby in Virginia for several years and have relatives there now in this very county.
Here is some context:
– Loudon County is perhaps wealthiest county in USA now (per medium income)
– it is among living areas of elites, foreign dignitaries, and lobbyists of DC swamp people
– part of key transportation hub – has Washington-Dulles Int. Airport
– at same time much of it is conservative people who voted Republican for decades and still cherish their old Southern roots. So considered “Deplorable” by swamp.
– in last generation, there has been huge influx of liberal professionals in eastern parts; they swung it to Democrats since Obama era
– so it is (like Virginia overall) a fierce political ground between republicans and democrats
IMO “deplorable” Virginians, although usually good natured and hospitable, still have a sense of honor and can be fierce if attacked, and this incendiary news report appears primed to trigger them.
This may be part of the DC Swamp’s countless attempts to spark civil war in USA.
Or merely Democrats flexing their muscle in obscene and counterproductive way, to show Deplorables who is boss in Virginia now.
Either way, a bad metric in ongoing implosion of USA.

Enjoying critical analysis of bigbig China drama “Crossing the Yalu”…consider the unstated message.
YT many episodes of CtY (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjihZPxNTGU&list=PLJPEbKQEnOROz4903Nva2lHhPh9N9dEir ) Yes propaganda, but propaganda sends telegraph that the ground is calling China to “action” – just as “Action in North Atlantic” “said” US would and should support USSR against Reich # 3
Mr P, things are happening. But remember the case of Meng Wanzhou. Done deal and she was on a flight highly coordinated with attack aircraft around her, before we could read the news. So, being highly risk-averse I’m not going to bet on a date (grins). But, I’ll bet on a period, just after the 2022 Olympics.
On your other post, the launch, check it out. There is some high coordination going on.
