For all that can celebrate a day of Thanksgiving without any strings attached .. enjoy!
It is my husband’s favorite holiday and we add our own meaning and strip off the strings. Today for us is giving thanks for being fortunate, having had good parents, and in memory of my mom, who passed from this life a scant 10 days ago. I still find myself in tears at moments. We miss her, but we are also thankful that she was spared moving into heavy aged diseases.
So a happy thanksgiving to those that celebrate this day. Carpe Diem, more accurately translated as “pluck the day [as it is ripe]”.
Condolences Amarynth.
Eventually the rawness of grief eases, but the pain of loss will always be there. The memories become more precious.
Cry. And laugh when remembering something that provokes laughter. Both are necessary to honour her memory.
I am so sorry Amarynth. It’s not easy losing a mother. She will go on eternally. She will live forever in your heart.
I second that. My deepest condolences for your loss Amarynth
沉痛哀悼 一路好走
be well be safe
Thank-you friends. It was even hard to say before now and only today can I actually say it. So, forwards and upwards we go!
I don’t think you have to belong to any particular religion to listen to this mantra. It’s so soothing, it always makes me feel better.
For you Amarynth:
(its the jesus prayer sung by a girls choir in church slavonic).

That’s wonderful, thanks Serbian Girl. I’ve actually never heard this sung by women or girls.
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
ॐ शान्ति ( Om Shanti )
Sorry that your mom has gone. Our world is not the same when our parents are no longer here.
Closer to the heart of Heaven
Closer to the truth of it all
That is where those who go before us dwell.
I mourn for your loss Amarynth. May she be happy in the afterlife.
It has long been a mystery to me what the situation in Soviet occupied Korea was – 1945 and so on. I do have a fair idea about the conditions on the US side – the US rehabilitated the quisling fascists.
Thus with delight>((twitter) Phryne Astynome @PAstynome) Nov 10
“No one is claiming that the Soviets/Russians were paragons of racial tolerance but this passage from Bruce Cumings’s book “The Origins of the Korean War” is quite fascinating. This is about the Soviet occupation of Korea after 1945.” > https://faculty.washington.edu/sangok/NorthKorea/Cumings,_Bruce_-_The_North_Wind.pdf (29 pages of pdf)
In recent bigbig movie “Crossing Yalu” I noticed the absence of Soviet influence was nearly (but not quite) absent… This, in terms of rhetorical implications as to the intent or design behind this propaganda film, is one of the most interesting features – of “dog what don’t bark” (But who really did bark!)
……………
Meantime, Mercouris seems to think the Ukie war will not happen. “duran.locals” is a point source I favor. And recommend.
And let us have an especially good cafe… Since it’s “Thanksgiving” in yank-is-stan and Anoxia I would point out that “the Pilgrims” (according to a Rabbi I know) were attempting to copy Purim, but had difficulty with the calculation of dates. Whatever.

Mr P, although not exactly into the bull’s eye of your inquiry, this may be a start for you. I am certainly being schooled on a few things – the mind boggles.

There is a specific question on the Sino/Soviet split at the time Mr P. It is at around 1:50. But I have to drop out now for other work and will get back to listen to the panelist’s answers. Don’t know if there is something there.
Thanks for the linked video!. It’s very interesting. The book excerpt is, now that I have got to reading it, a very interesting text, and I hear the author, Bruce Cumings, mentioned in video. The concept that Imperialism depends on forgetting is like a light turning on. Smart Lady. I shall write that one on the wall!
Long long time ago I discovered that to read history it’s important to read diaries and materials not in the imperial syllabus. Actual conversation with witnesses and their memory often liquidates the official story.
A rare example I recall is FDR right after the US declared war on Japan “They have asked for it, and they are going to get it.” Seems like a cheap jingoistic cant, and deflection as to precisely how Pearl Harbor actually happened. This memory from a guy I knew who heard Roosevelt say this.
Similarly, many US “military families” have family memories of slavery, being freed from or escaping from slavery and then becoming US enlisted in the liquidation of the Red Indians. Just as Navajo families have stories of fighting them. I have heard from both. These Histories are never in the syllabus. They also do not conform to polite rules of discourse… Place-names in the US Southwest, in Navajo, sometimes recall certain tactics and battles. I suppose it’s the same in Korea. And China, and Russia. I well remember the men returning from combat in Korea…the fellas who were actually in it were pretty shaken. Same from Vietnam. We have stories of buying black slaves for the purpose to freeing them, of the Underground Railroad, and from the US Civil War, and POW camp. Quaker stuff.
Sliding off into Jimmy Hoffa (!) “I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran & Closing the Case on Jimmy Hoffa” Dear old Frank spent well over 400 days in very heavy combat…and never quite recovered. This explains a lot… (I recommend the book).
Whack-a-mole geo-economic tensions.

> Those officers will remain there for a “matter of weeks”. The announcement came after request by Solomon Islands PM Manasseh Sogavare, who is facing calls to resign by protesters, for Australian help.
> “Our purpose here is to provide stability and security,” PM Scott Morrison says. “It is not the Australian government’s intention to intervene in the internal affairs of the Solomon Islands.”
#SBSNews:
::: In addition, there will be 43 armed defence force personnel, a patrol boat and at least five Department of Foreign Affairs personnel.
Two Australian ADF flights will be deployed on Thursday night and a third flight will head off on Friday.
Australia’s response will be scaled up as needed.
> Hundreds of protesters, some in support of the regional Malaita province which has refused to recognise China, gathered outside the Parliament House building on Wednesday demanding the prime minister step down.
Local media reported the protest turned violent when the large crowd forced its way on to the parliament grounds, before police responded with tear gas to disperse the protesters. A leaf hut next to the Parliament House building was set on fire.
It might seem to the naive and unobservant that unrest on islands that are dots in the Pacific might be spontaneous and unexpected.
But…. Probably not.

Another front has opened up (flared up?) in the global oil/gas pipeline war.
Nov 25: Rabat: Israel and Morocco signed a landmark agreement Wednesday that lays the foundation for security cooperation, intelligence sharing, and future arms sales….. and possibility of establishing an Israeli base..
Some background:
Trump [Kushner] negotiated a deal where the US would recognise Morocco’s claim to Western Sahara if Morocco normalised relations with Israel.
Western Sahara is a resource-rich territory, about the size of Colorado, with about 73 percent of global phosphate reserves.
Algeria has been (25 years) supplying Spain and Portugal with natural gas via the Gaz-Maghreb-Europe pipeline through Morocco (which received 10 percent of its gas supply as compensation.
But in August the contract was not renewed, as Algeria stated Morocco was using Pegasus spyware; had started wildfires, and was responsible for the deaths of 3 truck drivers.
Algeria withdrew its ambassador amid further incidents.
The supply of gas to Spain and Portugal has been impacted.
Tensions between Morocco and Algeria are a legacy of their colonial past.
Both Morocco and Algeria were colonies of France before gaining independence in the mid-20th century.
In 1956, Morocco, which was also partly controlled by Spain, negotiated its independence from France, leading to the establishment of a constitutional monarchy, though Spain continued to control Western Sahara until 1976.
Algeria, which had been controlled by France since 1830, eventually gained independence in 1962 after a long and very bloody conflict with the colonial power.
The Morocco-Algeria borders were not strictly defined by the French and two mineral-rich territories- Bechar and Tindouf remained undefined even after a French invasion. In 1952, France decided to integrate Bechar and Tindouf with Algeria.
Four years later, Morocco gained independence and demanded the return of the two disputed territories, though the demand was shot down by the French.
Almost immediately after Algeria managed to achieve independence, the two countries began to quarrel over territory.
Algeria supported groups within Western Sahara and with Morocco seeking independence/ recognition. Disputes and conflicts have persisted.
Morocco and Algeria have engaged in a dangerous arms race in recent decades. In 2015, Algeria’s military budget was $11 billion, while Morocco’s was only $3 billion.
Morocco caught up with Algeria after launching a $22 billion five-year rearmament plan in 2017 and then reintroducing mandatory military service in 2018. The two countries have arguably reached a dangerous military equilibrium.
Relations we’re mostly stable until Trump and the Abraham Accords, where Arab countries such as UAE normalised relations with Israel in exchange for US acquiescence to their claims.
Algeria has traditionally good relations with Iran and Turkey.
Algeria and Israel do not have any official diplomatic relations at all, with Algeria being part of the Arab League boycott of Israel, and officially does not recognise the State of Israel. Algeria refuses entry to any person holding an Israeli passport or any other passport which has a visa from Israel.
Now Morocco is allied with Israel and the US.
And another pipeline has another antagonist transit country in the mix.
Interesting to note the common denominator with Ukraine, now Morocco and Azerbaijan, is Israel. Israel similarly recently established relations with Azerbaijan, just as tensions with Armenia increased….

▪︎ 𝙇𝙖𝙗 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙩. The euphemism is “clean meat.” This is part of the synthetic-everything package. Will Soylent Green be on our menus too? NB: nations adopting this madness will soon experience in their food chain the equivalent of Europe’s projected catastrophic transition to Clean Energy, i.e. hunger, depopulation, and a tsunami of diseases.

So do YOU know what is in that supermarket food? That shrink-wrapped meat looks clean and red, and vaguely tastes like meat but … It may be time to stop buying anything made by globalist multinationals. Should we trust any of their pre-packaged products after what they are doing in the Medical Cartel? Please find and invest in a local farmer.
NB: this has monetary applications too. CAF notes synthetic meat along with bitcoins are useful current tools for Banksters to manage inflation..
▪︎ 𝘼𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. CAF sees a desired rise in 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 as part of trend behind trucking issues @ California ports (driverless trucks).. so part of this is an Op to engineer a transition to the centralizing robotic control grid.
Part of intent of placing current unlucky truckers at heart of contrived cut supply chains is to then justify getting rid of this “unreliable human sector” with fully controllable AI trucks. The new infrastructure bill in Congress is also paying for upgraded/dedicated highways to support these driverless trucks.. So truckers are the canary in the coal mine, with ongoing massive push for automation affecting all sectors in a silent tsunami.
—> See stocks such as ARKQ (Autonomous Technology & Robotics EFT) which outperformed the S&P 500 by over 300% since the Going Direct Reset of Aug 2019..
Programmed compliance has been built in too. Consider how many movies in last decades involved futuristic societies with driverless transport of all sizes.. Such a cool image for impressionable folks. We are the Jetsons, and in the Twilight Zone too, so we are all back home. And we can continue to focus on our little screens while the AI devil drives us.
▪︎ 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚. I have seen this wave first-hand. There is ongoing emphasis by Ministries of Health worldwide to do remote healing or medical teaching – especially for simple acute pediatric and primary care, with using smartphone Apps (how soon until AI staffs that App?) and phones for older folks.. Some hospitals are beta-testing AI docs.. AI was already sophisticated in the medical industry and was waiting for right event to be rolled out en masse.
▪︎ 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙚-𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. In last 2 years, docs in academic medicine gave most lectures and non hands-on medical school sessions on Zoom, BlackBoard, MS, etc.. An online centralization in medical academia is in process similar to customer service industry (moved years ago to India for english-language West, other countries for other languages..) – where for example Egyptian doctors contracted to train online the arabic medical students of surrounding countries from their Egyptian homes.. I heard of an Egyptian academician continue to teach his Russian medical school from Egypt last year!
A similar expansion of online teaching is evident in all fields; part of purpose of lockdowns is to habituate this centralization of government-led online education. Private education and absolute numbers of teachers are projected to be sharply reduced, to increase control and to decrease deviation from the program. IMO home-schooling in dystopias will also be shortly curtailed.
Compulsory mass online education of kids (today!) is like that girl in Poltergeist, being sucked into the spectral vacuum of their screens. Their brains are being turned into mush. This is worse than child abuse. This is among consequences to kids’ brains today:

Do you still love the technologies and societal patterns of the 4th industrial revolution?
Friend A.H.H., I’m going to weigh in on this one.
Your question: “Do you still love the technologies and societal patterns of the 4th industrial revolution?”
I love the tech, but I do not love idiots and there always will be idiots. Thing is, we may as well come to terms with a technological future, knowing we can say no. In quick,
Phones – don’t put a 5G phone to your head for any extended time. Problem solved and these days we have them in our hands anyway. (Mine fell off my desk a while ago and I’ll pick it up when I vacuum next lol).
Nothing is wrong with the technology. On 5G a brain surgeon does brain surgery when 1,500 kms from the patient because there is no latency. So, tech is neutral, it is what we do with it. I’ve in any case heard the same old stories since 2G was a technical standard. These are technical standards for interoperability. An old phone will work fine, because the technology itself usually scales up but old standards are still in play. My old phone broke about 3 years ago and it was really broken. So, I had to buy a smartphone – The first one I dropped somewhere, and the second one a nice and sweet little Huawei I actually like, when I have to use it – which is now lying under my desk somewhere.
Exogenesis: Screw that idea. But you and I well know that certain women will want this, social climbers, women whose looks are more important than their brains. But I do not think it is a trend that will replace all normal babymaking. There is this thing of surrogates even today. Trust the feminine sense a little! We of course must educate from this idea that when you are babymaking, you are sick.
Lab Grown Meat – have been warning about that stuff forever. Clean Food, not lab created, without poisons. People are beginning to understand that especially in these times when we discuss things like health and a robust immune system.
Automation – it will happen more and more. Robotics is one of the fastest-growing industry sectors. I am not against automation, but the people need to be cared for. We see that in China where they are keen to adopt new technologies. Just around the corner and already in test they have these flying cars in use as cabs. Deliveries will be more and more left to drones. I like the idea of calling out for my own helicopter to go to the store. In farming, automation is saving the backs, necks and physical structure of many instead of leaving them old and decrepit while they still have a life. It is a step outside of horribly hard work. It is also incredibly productive and if done well, much much less wasteful of the produce.
I’ve stopped my CAF habit. Long story and I can tell it sometime.
Telemedicine – can be good, can be bad. The bottom line here is that states want to ‘tickbox’ medicine or rather health. It will not work excepting for the most simple things as you and I know that this is a personal thing.
Tele-education – I’ve just stopped listening to a 2.5 hour education on the Koreas. My kids grew up with computers. In those old times, my son brought his friends home to watch his mom play whatever computer game was in fashion – I was the undisputed champion in those days until I figured out I will get addicted to games and I have never played even one since. We’ve always used the internet as an adjunct to education. When I figured out that schools were doing bad bad stuff, we went to homeschooling. It is just an adjunct to education and cannot take over education. Look in China now (I have to use them as they are many years ahead), they’ve just made law that kids may only play computer games for 3 hours per week. In Australia in the far away farms, they had radio education and the kids came together for classes around the radio. Alternative methods of education are always necessary. It does not mean that kids need to be deprived of social interactions.
This is the thing for me. Not a criticism, just a comment .. you generally rail against the technology as if it is the bad thing. Technology is neutral. It is the idiots or fools that use it that need a slap upside the head.
A.H.H
From the exogenesis RT linked article :
“The ability to grow children independently from their mothers is currently the stuff of science fiction, but in our increasingly transhumanist, managerial world could they one day be a horrifying feature of reality?
A film due to start shooting in March next year will feature ‘artificial wombs’ as a central plot device. ‘The Pod Generation’, described as a sci-fi rom-com, will feature Emilia Clarke, of Game of Thrones fame, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, best known for his starring role in 12 Years a Slave, as Rachel and Alvy, a couple looking to have a child together, but not in the ‘traditional fashion.’ Set in the near future, the couple will be able to “share” the pregnancy and its side effects thanks to newly developed ‘detachable wombs,’”
Transhumanist shamanistic science magic makes money on the screen ! The entertainment industries off the screen field day, the Gods days of wrath are drawing closer all the time.
So far, and for decades, this is all candy floss military money talk, as the secret of life is still not known.
What makes the human being human, it is not physical laws, but spiritual, when this is understood and employed for the advancement of evil, that will be it, the end.
Amarynth it is challenging issue, how far to go with tech. In general, with obvious exception of frankenfoods and fake wombs, I was like you – enthusiastic of complementary tech. About 3-4 years ago, I even bought an A.I. – powered stethoscope.. I remember my father (like Mr P) hunched over his short-wave radio many many decades ago, getting censored news directly elsewhere, and it was a vital communication link in rural parts for us too.
However, when I see the current sudden coordinated rollout (and prior predictive programming in countless AZ arts), all my radars go off. The digital robotic control grid is going live!!
So clearly the intended harms outweigh the benefits, in hands of these crazed controllers. Why the MASSIVE effort to get a smartphone in every human’s hands – even donation of free hardware and data to poor Africans; a bank account for all Indian farmers and poor; a QR-code in both Zones via IMF-pressure? For example, a clearly desired “benefit” of automation, from their perspective, is to eliminate such need for 99% of mankind, as to allow them to realize depopulation agenda, and hold a gun to head of survivors in terms of basic food supply and security.
But all this may be moot if they unplug all from the Grid. It may be an Op to further divide us, and keep us busy, while intent is to shut everything down. Or a backup plan in case they get Zone B to submit and agree to a NWO technofascism after all. I am not sure. But Masons do plan well, with multiple contingencies.
It takes little effort to destroy and this is the Idiots’ traditional strong point. Consider how Iran was attacked recently – pipelines blown up, cyber attacks on pumping & gas stations, nuke plants sabotage, and with their capacity to pump oil/gas already reduced due to disinvestment, lack of some parts and tech, embargoes…
All these technologies require a stable petroleum-based grid for now, and the lights can go out fast. And as a wise man said, civilization ends after 9 missed meals..
So Petroleum Man is extremely fragile and susceptible to being degraded, even in powerful Zone B states.
I suspect the Ordo Ab Chao of these satanists entails leveling all of mankind back to the primitive state, then with remainder of technology safely in their hands, perhaps they hope to rule the survivors like “the gods” as in their good old days of the time of Noah, or Babylon and Ancient Egypt..
But as with the best laid plans of mice and men… Or as Mr. T said, “I pity the fool!”
So until we dispose of Zone A parasite enemy of mankind, it may be prudent to limit these technologies, as Chinese are starting to do with video-gaming. Have face-to-face education and health care, which is proven more effective anyway, and emphasize intermingling rather than social atomization. Not tolerate artificial automation leading to contrived mass job losses, clearly not in our long term interests. Even in short term, millions suddenly out of work is a major ingredient for civil strife and turmoil.
It is a matter of trust. Every tool they have had, they have used it for evil. As we do not trust them with medicine, or packaged food, so we should not trust their current stewardship of technology.

Anonymous,
Re: “as the secret of life is still not known..”
I agree 100%! And they will never be given the secret ingredient of the Spirit, no matter how they search!! They have been trying since before the Flood..
The Lord sees the beginning and the end of all affairs, and into the hearts of the wretched, and they were found wanting long ago. So they can play all they want in their labs, mix and match already living eggs and sperm and claim they create de novo. At best, they create sterile abominations..
Like Karl Rove, they actually create cheap pretend-realities. Who are they foolin? Indeed as you say, much of their works are precisely based on ephemeral and self-destructive shamanistic magic, like Hollywood special effects..
Regards to all
Regarding depopulation agendas, is the fact of the decreasing birth rates, as I know it so far, in India and China, but could be other countries also. There’s almost the obvious humorous side to this, what will the elitists do when they see nature calmly achieving what they themselves strive to do with billions, costless and effortlessly, and when their own wives and more are unable to conceive?
Nature is not necessarily neutral, though technology may be, but most certainly the inventers, developers are they who could perhaps use a slap to wake them up and make them think.
Nature of course, is not of interest to the high flying whizz technocrats apart from making money from the idea of climate change and enhanced radiation to destroy and provide the necessity for artificial green growing stuff, which they won’t ne able to do anyway.
Interesting man, and interesting obit…and an interesting PhD (not mentioned is the specific cause of death, which is Very Interesting all by itself…
“Ian Fishback, Army officer and whistleblower against detainee abuse, dies at 42” https://www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2021/11/24/ian-fishback-army-dead/

No doubt the death at a young age is entirely unrelated to any “mandated” medical treatment and purely coincidental.
The WP obit is remarkable for what it does not say.
it is going to be a Cold winter this year, we got the first snow today…
Last year this time we had rain and warm weather, Dec 10 2020 we had +15c👌
Living near the north sea have a few perks😂 little snow and the greenest green in summer.
We also got snow in northern parts of Denmark.
And the EU seems to be out collecting firewood.
French military clashes with protesters in Niger.
A French military convoy was lately redeployed from the Ivory Coast into Mali.
The Military convoy then crossed into Burkina Faso where the column became trapped in the city of Kaya for a week, as hundreds of protesters were venting their anger over France’s military presence, as well as terror attacks that have been plaguing the region.
On Saturday, The French military convoy also ran into protests when it crossed into Niger.
It got blocked by angry locals less than 30 km inside the border of Niger.
Footage from the scene shows a crowd of protesters standing in the middle of a road, with multiple armored vehicles and logistics trucks in the background. Thick black smoke is seen rising from a burning barricade across the road. The Protesters were shouting “Down with France”
French servicemen fired “warning shots” to fend off the protesters.
At least 2 people were killed and 16 injured. The casualties were “most likely” inflicted by gunshots.
Local mayor Hamma Mamoudou, told Reuters.
As a side note: The Danish Prime minister visited Nigeria on Saturday, while the Danish Freggat Esben Snare shot 4 “Pirates” in the Gulf of Guinea. Nigeria is Africa’s largest oil exporter.
Comments on Reuters:
Everything about the Reuters headline is wrong: Two dead as French military clashes with protesters in Africa.
This is the 21st century, and there is no colonialism. France has no business in Africa.
Africa is not a country, and the murdering French need to go home.
France main electric energy source is nuclear plants.
Niger is rich in Uranium. France and the EU would collapse without uranium to French power plants.
The French has been looting Africa for quite some time. The price Niger gets from its Uranium goes directly into the pockets of corrupt leaders who could not care less for the needs of the people.
Niger is incapable of protecting its people. It is a shit poor country, with a global lead in infant mortality.
The French let the Africans work in the mines to extract gold and diamonds for Cartier, until they dropped dead. Just look at the pictures to see what these “colonizers” achieved in Africa.
Look at the countryside, the infrastructure, the standard of living they brought to that Continent.
Hands off Burkina Faso! Vive Sankara!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivory_Coast#/media/File:French_West_Africa_1913_map.png
Guinea: the first African country who dared say NO to France
Guinea (whose capital is Conakry) is a country rich in bauxite, gold, diamonds, and magnesium.
President Sekou Toure was the first to say ‘NO’ to be a colony of France in 1958.
His moto: “It is better to be poor and free, than to live in opulence and be a slave.”
France never forgave Guinea, destroying files when leaving, withdrawing abruptly, destroying infrastructures, and breaking political and economic ties.

Thanks for reminder of France. France is the designated AZ Empire stalking horse in Africa. Among reasons are it had traditionally largest colonial holdings and continues to economically and culturally dominate it via elite compradores.
Francophone Africa:
https://netstorage-legit.akamaized.net/images/vllkyt6v82fb5brv4.jpg
As you note, French economy is critically reliant on African minerals extraction and a captive market for French goods and Francs to this day. Recall Borrell’s angry words to Lavrov recently about Russia (& China) staying away from “our Africa.” Borrell is the gift which keeps on giving.
Also with US bogged down in M.E. and South China Sea/Ukraine – it gave much of Africom file to France. And to training, support, arming and logistics of assorted Extremiste Internationale, as exposed by various African leaders recently. All to justify French forces presence, threaten Africans doing business with China or becoming too stable. A truly diabolical game. The Heart of Darkness is an apt metaphor for the hell brought to Africa. Imagine a silent My Lai every day for 500 years..
All these shenanigans are ending though and will add to French agony.. thanks to new determination by Africans who are just tired of divida et impera, seeing they have nothing left to lose anyway and fear-factor is ending of satanic Empire. Russian muscle and Chinese funds help too. What would you do if an enemy gave you two options: kill yourselves or we will kill you?! So French are in a panic.
For sure, the French are also desperate to protect their nuclear industry, reliant on African uranium. They see how German electric grid is relentlessly being starved of fuel and know a dark winter is planned for them too.. Truly dark forces are tormenting both foolish one-trick unresilient imperialists and long suffering colonies!
Again thanks, I always appreciate your informed posts and rebuttals to trolls.
It’s a portrait of someone I used to know. Poetry however, is all about the poem, and so even the subject
is fodder. There comes a point where it veers off in its own direction, transcends the sum of its parts, and announces itself as a bold new creation.
All The Fires I’ve Lit
In my home over yonder,
As the crow flies
Joy becomes sadness
And everything dies.
Health becomes sickness
Youth becomes age,
Love becomes madness
And helplessness rage.
All the towers you raised
They reached for the sky
Till your mind became crazed
And left you bone dry.
Not familiar with hunger
Unaccustomed to thirst,
All you once loved
You spat on and cursed.
Come sit my old friend
And warm my cold heart,
For the harm that I’ve done
Has drove us apart;
Come raise up our glasses,
Come help me forget
That tomorrow I’ll die,
Filled with regret.
Come hither and listen
And pity me, now,
As God is my witness,
I hereby avow;
All the fires I’ve lit
Will burn in my soul,
Till I’m dead and I’m buried
And my blood runs cold.
thank you for the poem of this life truth
‘poetry is all about the poem’, and if if it stands after being submerged by the desert sands then it obtains salt of the earth status. as to the less than perfect outcomes, the dismal failures, the frustrated outcomes….in their own way, and viewed from a wide angle they are also the salt of the earth, being what has real life value, not at the time, but carrying within them the seeds of the future ,when they may well blossom in unexpected ways, like fire that renews, as in australia there are trees and shrubs that only germinate after fire.
life is a continuum over long, long periods of time and at its centre, the individual self, leaving, returning, ever creating anew and making its very own perfection.
sincere condolences to amarynth, to all those who have have lost a loved one, be it father, mother or friend.
Thank you Mon Ami, as always for your kind words and support. I have been very busy, and travelling as well.
“Sincere condolences.. to all who have lost a loved one, be it father, mother or friend…”
The poem is addressed to my father. He’s a complicated guy, and I have indeed lost him. In doing so, I realise I never had him. I had my mum however, and she was enough. One aims to transform the raw material of human misunderstanding into spiritual and/or creative gold. It’s either this or continue the fight into the next life.
Big Brother Really *IS* watching you
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-11-25/victoria-forests-agency-accused-of-spying-on-campaigner/100613342
Sarah Rees had no idea she was being followed.
On a morning like any other in 2011, she walked out of her home in Healesville, about an hour’s drive from Melbourne, and started her car.
She drove to an office where she ran a small conservation group, did a bit of paperwork and then drove to Melbourne for the day.
Alan Davey says he was never far behind her.
For about four days, the professional private investigator says he followed her every move, at the request of a state government agency.
“They told me they wanted me to get as much dirt as I possibly could on the woman,” Mr Davey says.
§§§ VicForests is a Victorian government agency tasked with supplying timber from state forests to sawmills and pulp mills around the state. It’s run as a for-profit company, owned by the government.
§§§ By 2011, Sarah Rees had been involved in forest conservation for about a decade, after she watched the water supply at Marysville degrade, something she says was caused by logging.
But that year, a campaign kicked off over logging at Toolangi State Forest — just 30 kilometres out of Melbourne — which, she says, raised the stakes.
§§§ After the 2009 Black Saturday fires burned 450,000 hectares of forest and killed 120 people in nearby Kinglake alone, VicForests saw a lot of their resources — state forests — disappear.
“Toolangi was considered the green hole in the black doughnut,” Ms Rees said. “It was burnt all around and, due to freak weather, due to the fact it’s a rich, wet old growth forest, it didn’t burn.”
She says that meant both environmentalists and VicForests valued the area — but for very different reasons — and a campaign involving protest activity kicked off.
VicForests has regularly come into conflict with protesters.
But Ms Rees says the situation in Toolangi, near Kinglake, was a problem for them.
She says the protests lasted longer than usual — about six weeks. And, she says, the support this protest had from the local community, as well as its close proximity to Melbourne, made it a worry for VicForests.
It was in the midst of that campaign that Alan Davey says he was hired to follow Sarah Rees…….

Please correct me where I am wrong on the following:
* The Japanese invaders were not average Joes like the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were.
* The nuclear bombings were not done to ‘teach Japan a lesson’ or serve as a response to Japanese aggression, but to intimidate Stalin. By that point Japan had no less than 60 cities firebombed by the US and was trying to surrender.
* Bombs were also dropped on China by the US as well.
* South Korea is occupied by the US, so inevitably they end up swallowing the USian narrative on things.
This being a US American film, should I be surprised that some of the film’s viewers have, however blindly, imbibed the US war narrative?
(OTOH if this film was released in Russia, I wonder what Russian viewers think of it. After all, it was the Soviets that defeated the Japanese Kwantung army in Manchuria, and not ironically Putin would condemn the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.)
Then I wrote a comment voicing what I’ve learned about the bombing of Hiroshima from this site and many others like Consortium News and Greanville Post. In it, on top of two of the points I’ve mentioned above plus the detail re: the defeat of the Kwantung army by the Soviets, I considered the bombing “self-serving genocide against millions of defenseless civilians, not unlike the bombing of Dresden”.
Then I was responded with an accusation of historical revisionism, with claims that:
Was that not after the Kwantung army defeat? Was it not a ploy for the US to take all the credit?
Didn’t Japan already send requests to surrender, only for the US to ignore them?
Maybe, but was the US doing so out of friendship with China and Russia? If they did, the US wouldn’t firebomb certain Chinese cities, nor would they go whole-hog with Churchill’s Operation Unthinkable.
Wait, what – *music stops* Dresden was a military target?!
Now I’m left with the bolded portion. So far I have yet to recall hearing of Dresden being a military target. Either my memory of that is rusty, or it’s revisionism on the responder’s part.
The Red Army was close enough to Dresden that the fire-bombing amounted to a threat against the Red Army, so, plausibly, it was a military target in the same sense that bomb tests 2 and 3 on Japan were – intended to threaten the USSR. All three were “military targets” in the Atlantist (UK/US) design to attack USSR using the Wehrmacht combined with UK/US forces. All three were military targets in the opening gambit of WW3, not the close of WW2. Actually they probably remain military targets in some plans, just like pretty much every city on earth. Unthinkable got cancelled, postponed, because their lordships gamed it out and realized that the Red Army would defeat the White Army, so to say, in, if memory serves, 6 weeks.
Okay, I responded to the guy/gal, and he/she then replied with a claim saying that the Russians were “nowhere near Dresden”. Were they?
(If it’s time for me to stop responding to/arguing with him/her, say when.)
▪︎ Date of Aerial Firebombing of Dresden (a world cultural heritage site): February 13-15, 1945
▪︎ Means of aerial attack: “722 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘙𝘰𝘺𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘪𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 527 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘺 𝘈𝘪𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 3,900 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺…𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘜𝘚𝘈𝘈𝘍 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 2 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 ” [wikipedia] a tad excessive, eh?!
▪︎ Date of Hitler suicide in capital Berlin: April 30, 1945 (76 days later)
▪︎ Date of Surrender of Nazi Germany: May 7, 1945 (83 days later)
So just by dates and forces involved, it is clear like Hiroshima that an absolutely barbaric military message was being sent to a third party using a civilian target..
Distance-wise, I estimate depending on front margins:
▪︎ on February 13, 1945, Red Army was only ~200 km from Dresden (they were within Germany and about 70km from Berlin). It burned so brightly that bomber crews could see the glow for 0.5 hours on the return leg.. a mighty sacrifice indeed to Churchill’s gods!
For sure could also be seen by soviet air crews on Eastern Front, and the message delivered..

https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202111/1240041.shtml
Was it pandering to “US political correctness”, whitewashing Japanese aggression, etc. when president Putin condemned the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki last March? Or when the Iranian govt. followed suit last August (on the 76th anniversary)? Or when Mao Zedong did it too at some point during his life?
If I’m not mistaken, neither of these figures are/were known to curry favor with the USA.
Is the writer of this OP-ED unable to discern the armed troops of a nation from ordinary citizens of said nation who work their arses off making a living?
Global Times is normally known to criticize the USA for human rights violations, and that makes the publication of an article that justifies one such atrocity, and compares criticism of said US atrocity to whitewashing the atrocities of said US atrocity’s victims, all the more jarring.
I’ve already seen examples of binary (black-and-white) thinking in a few reader comments on a few articles on Russian-language RT, RIA and Komsomolskaya Pravda, but not once did I think I’d find anything of the sort on an OP-ED on a publication on “China’s second national English-language newspaper under the People’s Daily”. A publication well-cited here and on Moon of Alabama.
Call me paranoid if you will, but this is either a mere hiccup at best, or a portent of declining quality control at worst.
Then I went and wrote a comment pointing out Putin’s and Iran’s condemnation of the atomic bombings. One response I received said that the Soviets and Iran did not experience Japanese soldiers’ atrocities first hand.
Plausible. But it has yet to explain why Mao condemned the bombings, considering what he and his countrymen went through during WWII. And he wasn’t even Christian, let alone Orthodox, or Muslim (I could be wrong on that one).
In the end, it says a lot when certain people at GlobalTimes still believe the USian narrative that the atomic bombings were responsible for ending WWII, as if the US was concerned one iota about, and did what it did in response to, admittedly real events such as Korean comfort women, the Nanjing massacre, Pearl Harbor, Bataan death march, etc., potential propaganda purposes notwithstanding. Meanwhile the Soviets’ relatively monumental role in the defeat of the Kwantung army is ignored. And I thought Russia and China were allies.
Spending some time hanging out at #OOTT (official oil traders of twitter)….
As I’ve never had the slightest interest in the oil and gas industry…. despite it actually being THE industry that drives EVERYTHING globally since 1800s…..)
I struggle to follow a lot of what they are twerping about… especially as they love industry insider acronyms. But I’m deducing some context.
Intriguingly… as they discuss current prices, specifically the Biden political reasons for the release from the strategic petroleum reserve, many make references to 2014 ….. according to their charts and modelling, something blipped in 2014… it was some sort of seminal year.
Prices dipped …. and as far as the industry is concerned, have remained strangely, and artificial “soft”. Only now are prices “recovering”.
But … despite some of the #OOTT holding an almost psychotic hatred of Russia,…none seem to have a clue as to what/ why prices did something strange in 2014.
Lol.
2014- So what happened that year????
Lol McCain and Obama sneering: Russia is just a “gas station masquerading as a country”…
But when their Maiden plan went skewy, with Crimea unexpectedly returning to Russia, they forced prices low.
Low oil prices, they believed, would cripple Russia…. Return it to the 1990s.
Didn’t happen . Yes, the Russian budget took a hit. But it had more resilience than they realised.
Forcing oil prices low had unintended consequences…… it was Saudi that nearly went bankrupt.
You may remember the internal unrest as oil rich sheiks, who had only known a life of truly excessive wealth, were now unable to fund their debauches.
One outcome was the rise of MBS – Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Another unintended, was to put Russia in the driving seat of OPEC+.
Eventually the price war got so painful for KSA that the old king saddled up and took himself to Moscow…. For his first ever visit.
Russia welcomed him with a grand state visit, putting on a lavish show…. No one needed to see it was a humbling capitulation for KSA.
The Americans did miss the significance. They were so obsessed looking for Trump’s phantom “election meddling” Russians, they failed to notice what real Russians were really “meddling” in….
With the Saudi king’s suing for peace in the price war, the Russians and Saudis agreed to an oil price that allowed the oil sheiks to keep partying with their jets, yachts, houses, wives, women, bloated retinues….. but low enough to cause ongoing pain for the US shale oil industry.
Shale oil had seen the US return to energy independence, and it was this that gave Obama and McCain the confidence that they could cripple Russia by lowering prices,….. not realising the shale oil industry was only viable at the same high prices that were benefiting Russia.
So what’s changed…. Why are prices rising now.?
One is that the people who had their finger on the oil price scales to hurt Russia aren’t in control now.
The sort of people who are in *control* (!lol!) are these:
https://twitter.com/JavierBlas/status/1463265503162605568
That’s right….. the US Secretary for Energy doesn’t know how much oil the US uses a day.
Another reason is 2014 is a long long long long time ago. Ancient history. Two whole US administrations ago.
McCain is dead, Obama is building a Taj Mah-library to match his ego, Biden is brain dead, US complicity in the Maiden is buried, and Crimea is Russia.
What I have gleaned from #OOTT is that since 2014, oil prices have not kept pace with global price rises and inflation.
Biden – and his 81million!- voters at gas pumps across the US may think prices are high, but , say traders…. They aren’t.
I saw an interesting graph showing comparisons for prices for oil and other commodities since 2011…. It was a convincing piece of data…..the dude didn’t get eviscerated by his #OOTT peers, so it must have had some merit and substance behind it.
So, the curious inexplicable price blip of 2014 continues to mystify #OOTT.
But, If I, an absolute nobody with nothing more than an itoy, and an an inquiring mind, can deduce all this while sipping tea from my porch chair, imagine the warm gloaty feeling some clued up Russian officials must be enjoying….
And the schadenfreude is surely only going to explode ….. a cold northern winter, ….gas storage low, ossified European penpushers determined not to commission NS2…. all to “send a message” to Putin.
L. O. L.
The last I looked, the US Navy is the world’s largest single consumer of petroleum products. You may want to look in this direction and see if it meets your expectations.
Question: Any idea how much the American military uses in a day?
A: @JavierBlas #OOTT
For operational use, it’s about 240,000 b/d of oil refined products powering vehicles, ships, aircrafts and bases (so if the Pentagon was a country, it would be a top-35 consumer). But on top of that, it consumes lots of gas / electricity, etc
https://www.acq.osd.mil/eie/OE/OE_index.html
“In FY 2017, the Department consumed over 85 million barrels of fuel to power ships, aircraft, combat vehicles, and contingency bases at a cost of nearly $8.2 billion. “
WW,
your musings on Petroleum are central!
No modern industrial civilization is possible without petroleum products for foreseeable future.
here are some random thoughts on the [assisted] death of the Age of Petroleum.
For a while the AZ crazies were not only dismantling their golden egg-laying economies, but were doing so for all mankind.
Perhaps they wish to return to bows & arrows, spears and catapults?
Wait! And stop choking on your coffee. Hear me out.
So many data points indicate this. Among them:
– They know they cannot compete in most-VIP high military tech with Russia – even for 60+ years in critical air defense! So Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) could not be overcome.
– Recall Borrell’s words from few days ago. An explicit admission that they cannot compete with China in technology and economy. A pregnant despairing admission from Borrell. So they are checkmated militarily by Russia and economically by China.
𝙎𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙙
– part of zero-carbon / climate change meme is to shut everyone down; only a few big Zone B states are currently able to say NO.
– BlackRock, Vanguard and all other biggies are fully in on “Green investment” via ESR hooks which deliberately burden most corporations worldwide; relevantly they disinvest from oil/gas exploration, which has dramatically reduced finds of new wells and thus future output.
– shockingly Shell just announced relocation of their headquarters to COP-26 central (London). Just as Industrialists have been convinced to sacrifice their industries, so it appears this is being done to Big Oil. At root of these persuasive mechanisms are control files with pedophilia and worse.. And most CEOs and Board members are from old-boy networks with secret society loyalties. They will not only NOT buck the coming New Age, they are among weak links.
– Biden has shut down shale, Keystone and other pipelines, affecting not only US but importers and overall oil & gas industry
– in last year trillions of helicopter money thrown into economy have exploded inflation for all – one of consequences is high oil & gas for all economies.
– At same time, increased use of DEW and HAARP, California (world breadbasket) and Chinese farming, etc. increasingly burned and/or flooded, and reduced wind to northern EU windfarms – the sum leading to rolling blackouts and habituating all states to grid shutdowns. The gloves are off on Chaos-generation!
𝘼 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙢-𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙄𝙨𝙧𝙖𝙚𝙡
– for generations now, the “brightest and best” AZ bureaucrats were dual-passport holders that oversaw transfer of IP, tech, know-how and huge $$ to Israel – a tidal wave of looting and transfer of all critical sectors from dying West to Israel. How much is pre-stored in mine-shafts and DUMBs under occupied Palestine?
– clearly the focus and efforts of AZ in last 2-3 generations was to firmly establish Erez Israel no matter the cost to West; the parasite preparing to switch Hosts.
– Vast majority of Eschatologists hold that when the true Messiah returns, he will kill the Antichrist with a spear, i.e. warfare will have returned to a primitive state. The “sticks and stones” as prophesied by Einstein following ww3.
In these prevailing circumstances, you overturn the chessboard knowing (1) no one will dare nuke the Holy Land which is dear to all, (2) where you have all your key men and pieces prepositioned, (3) Pax America and Rus-Chine will at worst neutralize each other in ww3, (4) and you are optimally placed to come on top following the aftermath of the fallout – to be the rooster of a much reduced roost. So Logical from their perspective?
So a big play appears in advanced stages to shut down Petroleum Man and the electrical grid worldwide.
Further, even if Russia/China survive the Big War, constructs such as the Intermarium & Three Seas and Greater Turan, in a low-tech surviving era, holds possibilities of a successful cordon-sanitaire which walls off Russo-Chinese survivors from intrusion and influence into the Greater Middle East.
This IMO may be the big play. To reboot civilization under old constructs for the vast majority, on a subsistence level. And with the Return of the [False] King, “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.”
https://www.rt.com/russia/541413-ukrainian-president-warns-imminent-coup/
O, the irony:
“…Pledging action over the purported plot, Zelensky warned that “you can’t fight against your people and the president who was elected by the citizens of Ukraine.” He went on to allege that internal threats within the country are now far more pressing than the risk of a major military conflict with Russia….”
How is it that I do not believe one word about technical issues?
https://www.rt.com/russia/541418-swiss-minister-plane-reroute-moscow/
A China-bound plane carrying the Foreign Minister of Switzerland has been rerouted to Moscow over technical issues, Bern has revealed.
Ignazio Cassis, who is also the country’s Vice President, was heading to the province of Zhejiang to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Writing on Twitter, the Swiss Foreign Ministry revealed that government plane carrying Cassis would be checked in order to determine whether onward journey to China is possible.
Cassis’ journey comes eight months after the Swiss government adopted a brand new China strategy. According to Bern, the meeting was due to cover “many areas of Swiss–China cooperation,” including bilateral trade, human rights and multilateral cooperation.
Obviously, as you seem to say, there’s some actual reason that’s left quietly unsaid. I don’t buy the story either. The most interesting “tell” is the phrase you posted “…[plane] checked in order to determine whether onward journey to China is possible.” Possible an engine warning lamp came on, but more possible “somebody” wants the plane to fall out of sky. There’s a lot of money and power “on the table”. Probably the Russians and the Chinese and especially the Swiss want to avoid any regrettable “coincidence”.
Airplane “accidents” seem to be a very popular method for some gangs of criminals.
And, well, “technical” (in English anyway) is almost without meaning. Looking for a bomb on the aircraft is within the scope of the term. Talking with experts, lawyers, doctors – these too may be called “technical”. In our Time almost everything people do has some aspect of “technical”, so the usage at RT seems to be a rhetorical obfuscation, misleading, in a soft and gentle sort of way.
( ” technicus “> of the arts or sciences” (borrowed from Greek technikós “skillful, proficient in an art or craft, artificial,” from téchnē “art, craft, proficiency in an art or craft, systematic method of performing or engaging in an art…” )
Hi amarynth, sorry to hear about your mom, thoughts, prayers and hugs to you. Hardest part of life…words seem shallow…..do take care, I’ve kinda retreated to the kitchen myself this past little while, immersion in ones own little world does have an upside at times, meditative, alone with ones thoughts….and the ‘presence’ :)
As for diverting planes, some instructions are best (must be) given in person…small pigs, big ears, prying eyes, and all. Disaster averted if he flies on in a different plane, message delivered if he flies on in the same plane. Diplomacy at work perhaps…..lets hope.
Thank-you seun de lepre. Times that we do not know what to say to one another, but you said just perfectly!
Next up from me in the kitchen department is pickled ginger, or gari in Japanse. It is so simple and we’ve bought it just lately – but the supplier changed, and to my horror, when I checked this morning there is aspartame, red coloring number something, and some other stuff that I cannot even pronounce.
It is incredibly simple to make, just a great garnish for everything under the sun, and cheap. So, I’ll make some so that I can talk from knowledge.
That’s another thing about the kitchen. Even if you’ve bought something forever and a day, take some time and check it out again. These things change on you. Time to suspect every bottle or jar or can or highly pretty’fied packaging and these days they package it in neat packaging that looks oh so ‘natural’.
———————
Another little thing generally for all. I sometimes pick up things. Here is a thing for the personal watch lists because it is a little thin for any other kind as yet….
I think we have a move from India. Just recently there was a RIC meeting, Lavrov, Chinese FM Wang Yi, and Indian FM Jaishankar.
Of course the open part was as boring as breaking stones, but the Indian part was very interesting. Agenda:
Covid
Reforms of the multilateral system
International hot spot issues
So, there were all the nice words, but the FM of India stated:
– approach to global development human-centric
– a multipolar and rebalanced world based on the sovereign equality of nations, respect for international law, and contemporary realities, requires reformed multilateralism.
These are the right words and I was a little surprised to hear it from India so baldly and clearly stated.
But what made me sit up and take notice is from the Kremlin this morning ..
Putin is visiting India on the 6th of December.
Something was discussed in the closed portion of that meeting, that makes it necessary for Putin to go to India. This is the first time that I see India state a commitment to a rebalanced world, respect for international law, and the requirements for a reformed multilateralism.
Just perhaps India is crossing the line from ZoneA to ZoneB.

on and further on for ever
I am wondering how the products and Books at the neighbouring community site are getting on. I have a recent painting inspired by Faina and the young women of Ukraine, and wonder if this would be of interest. Maybe others have had ideas for their work to be sold there, but have not come forwards yet. At any rate, a Russian theme might be nice.
Truly too difficult to deal with international shipping and payments in times of insane sanctions where you don’t know which law and from where you break, in a simple transaction.
So this is perhaps a supply chain difficulty in real life as well as the killing of the small business. We don’t have banks of attorneys standing by which the conglomerates most certainly have. The simple human element, one from the other is hard to maintain during this move to a multi-lateral world where only a few countries have peaceful intent.
Last book I shipped to Russia I begged a ship’s captain to carry it under his arm and actually mail it when he reaches Russian shores. Really. Tried to mail a book to Iran – oh boy.
So, the Saker’s books are on free download and for the moment we’re not doing physical books.
Thanks for your response, I see where your coming from, though personally I’ve had no problems in sending artwork and prints abroad, nor the transactions, but the supply and demand issues, these are increasing indeed.
Previously we have discussed the apex of power in a particular Government – apex wherein organized crime and big business become indistinguishable from government. Unitary, in a sense, decadent in another. It’s perhaps instructive to inquire as to what governments do not form unity with criminals. Where is it that the dope-dog does not bark? These would seem to be governments that respect their people, at least in some sense.
A short video related to this (with very interesting links – especially to an affidavit from a US officer (sadly deceased) )
https://theduran.com/the-cias-cocaine-corridor/ (author “G2mil” has several also interesting submissions.) There’s a lapse of audio on the vid-post, but the sub-titles work 100%
It does seem plausible that the curating sponsors of a criminal organization set up to profit by the ruin of millions of people with dope might not scruple to do something along the lines of germwar, does it not?
I myself somehow missed out on all the cheap coke, too busy working and raising kids I hardly noticed it, but was aware of something going wrong, in a general way.

The sometimes hyperbolic Hal Turner says this morning that every Russian nuclear sub has been sent to sea. Maybe so, but submarines spend much of their time (perhaps 30%) in quay or drydock, as they’re maintenance-intensive machines – so IF true – some boats were rushed out for some pressing purpose. Russia, of course, has also many non-nuclear boats, and I wonder where they are, at sea or not. Everybody wants to know whereabouts of subs…well, that’s the idea behind submarines…mystery, doubt, and fear. (if ever able to visit aboard a sub take a look and ask yourself, for example> “How would a fella change a pump coupling and do an alignment…” There’s about a zillion other stuff in the way! Everything seems to be nearly impossible to get to.)
(In Caribbean Crises of ’62 some Soviet boats were not properly ready, and sent anyway, so I have read.)
………..
Dear amarynth, I was shocked by your loss. My deepest sympathy. No mere words suffice.

The matter of freedom from threat is still on my mind. It seems to call for semantic analysis, as “threat” has many forms. The famous “four freedoms” and what those mean might be a contextual assist, as “freedom from fear” seems to be very closely related to freedom from threat. I suppose it’s a goal, not ever achievable, but approachable.
Regards.

Bizarre if true, that this most recent and alarming mutation of the bug is reported to have come from an hiv patient who had no immune system, and as such the bug was able to mutate, w/o an immune system response, into 30 something funky nasty mutations and somehow spread before the host was fully consumed and disposed of. All in like a day somehow.
Now I know about human rights and I know about common sense, but where was the logic of keeping this person alive?
These kind of lurid stories are usually fear porn, none the less, anything is possible given what we have been witnessing as direct consequences of governments implementing absurd policies, cause, effect ,reaction.Repeated over and over again through every crisis since I have been following current affairs back in the late sixties, the same method is used to “solve ” the present problem.Meanwhile the outcome always benefits fewer and fewer, richer and getting more so, elites.
Sure is a pattern, and I have only mentioned government.
Of course we have other more powerful “stakeholders” in society.
The media being one of these “stakeholders” has also behaved in similar predictable ways across this same time span having almost lost any credibility except reporting on sports results and the weather and trivialities, celebritie bullshit etc.
On it goes and are we any closer to a solution or are we becoming a parallel universe as some of us here have undoubtedly been part of in many ways,a parallel universe of knowledge, trust, faith in our better nature and commonality. We definitely face a most serious challenge to our civil liberties, ways of life and ability to enjoy the company of our peers without fear of being arrested or worse for violation of some subsection of legislations introduced under the smokescreen of a pandemic that looks like going on and on and on.
This indeed is a serious challenge for all of us.
I guess we can only be ourselves , stay close to our loved known trusted ones, and survive with our dignity until it is our time to pass.
Sounds bleak enough though evolution of our understanding of where we now find ourselves is afoot and will enable solutions to be found as we feel our way through the time.
I see plenty of signs of peoples attitude hardening in Ireland toward repressive dictatorial policies of the state and its ever expanding army of ,health and safety, security, and other such repressive agencies policed by trained(to say no) unskilled individuals who can not find employment in any other useful profession.
It remains to be seen if this hardening of peoples stance will coalesce into something that gathers momentum.
Ireland being Ireland it will take time.
In many other countries there is widespread massive protest every week and momentum is afoot,
However it takes a lot more than marching to make a positive change given the corrupt state of our so called rulers.
Voltaire said that if we wish to know who rules over us we need only look at who we are not allowed to criticise .
In so called democracies we are allowed to shred every politician, therefore to apply Voltaire’s wisdom it is obvious that the power lies elsewhere.
And we know that here in the cafe thank God.
Been a while since I posted here, lots of visits and reading.
Best to all
§§§~” but where was the logic of keeping this person alive”
And they certainly should not have been feeding this person bat soup.
I wonder…. Did s/he have a pet pangolin?
Its highly likely the pet was a virtual avatar pangolin with rainbow claws and green eyes probably with a windmill strapped to a battery
It could just as easily be satan decomposing and excreting these nasty bugs while he’s still alive..
But then again, what’s in a name.
The cord to the mother is deep. Sorry to read of her passing on, Amarynth. You will meet again.
Our resident poet is silent apart from the extraordinary verses above…….
For those contemplating a fireside winter read on Russia, I heartily recommend Marina Tsvetaeva (1892- 1941) from Moscow, a very contemporary sounding voice, poet and diarist of her time.
A Captive Spirit, Collected Prose (first published in the west 1998)
Poem of the End, Selected Narative and Lyrical Poems (ditto 2004)
Earthly Signs, Moscow Diaries, 1917 -1922 (ditto 2002)
Thanks to all for the kind condolences.
We’re fine, on our feet, and hopefully doing the right things and flowing with the process of grief. What a funny business. One moment you’re laughing, the next moment a memory hits and you’re crying and even the next moment you get angry with something that happened yonks-years ago, that you thought you had made peace with. There is no preparation for the upwelling of memories. My sister and I knew the moment was coming, but yet, all that pre-work and the grief still hits. Funny strange business this – that is all I can say!
Thanks all!
Best wishes, dear amarynth.
amarynth, sister
we, my wife and I lost all four , fathers and mothers, and – we are 74 and 79 – it’s ok. We are the next.
I, allow me to say, I feel a close border with you, you: “We’re fine, on our feet, and hopefully doing the right things”, it’s to me child’s innocence, talking such words.
It’s more than some daily being pushed from news to news.
In my weekly routine, I, working for a coming time, where not a n y spirit, but the spirit ouf our forbeare’s heaven/earthly zodiac, is honored in a casual but steady observation of on’ce neighbor: the universe.
And the steady games, the archetypes of our Sun-Cosmos, are having with another – the z z o d i a c , being the eternal training- ground for 12-housed Anthropos in us, and of -Uranus – t h i n k i n g – animal m a n to serve mother nature again and again with new tender mirror- plots by Aquarius’ Uranus, scoping off the element of the child … to let feeling become spirit …
This kind of reflection on sign and element even opens a perspective to a border – person like Albert Speer.
Persons like him got to be studied, to be able to meet oneself, for to have the other bank of the common river flowing between it and it’s opposite, one’s own kitchen.
Keep tenderly grooving as possible till Wednesday

We’ve been battered by ‘The Science’. I found a way through it. Kudus to some hard scientists from the crypto world. :-)
Science is not productively contributing to anything. It is not an entity capable of acting. Science (technology etc) ‘acting’ for or against ‘something’ is stupid on its face.
Even enlarging the subject to actions in the name of science, the answer remains a firm no, as science is descriptive, not prescriptive.
(gotta remember that – stick it into the noggin!)
Take a look at a prophet:

and this is the reason, why the study of the Letters between WOLFGANG PAULI and C.G.JUNG: Atom and Archetype, are such a human adventure, walking the real bridge , bridging body, soul and spirit at the constant mirror between matter and spirit mend by symbol
