Friends,
Here I want to thank Eugenia for a truly heroic effort. Not only did she translate, subtitle and upload the video, she did that on her so-called ‘free’ time (without going into details, I will say that Eugenia is a top-level professional with a prestigious career and an extremely busy life). Eugenia – you are truly to be thanked by our Community for your immense dedication and work!
Second, we had to upload this video to Rutube.ru because YouTube immediately blocks such video. No, not because of political censorship in the USA, but because Russian news organizations apparently hire western firms to make darn sure that their content is not reproduced without authorization. Apparently, these folks couldn’t care less about the fact that their country is the object of an information war. Like so many others, they are far more busy protecting their supposed “rights” than to get the word out. This is sad, disgusting and discouraging. Anyway, the technical record of RuTube is “so so”, works better some days that others. But, friends, that’s the best we have right now (and the Russian government is busy preparing laws to prevent Russian video hosting providers from participating in “piracy” as if airing a crucial video of Maria Zakharova was tantamount to the murder, robbery and kidnapping of people on the high seas; sigh; don’t even get me started on this one. Besides, this hero of mine does a much better job explaining that I ever could).
If anybody could suggest a good video hosting solution for us which The Almighty Dollar could not force into compliance, I would be most interested. Email me.
Anyway, I hope that this video will give you a sense of what the tone in Russia really is, of how people see the current hysterical russophobic campaign, and the kind of feelings this elicits in them.
Enjoy!

00:00:09,039 –> 00:00:12,920
60 MINUTES
00:00:12,920 –> 00:00:15,239
Olga Skobeeva. 60 minutes about the most important things.
We begin with the most sensational news: the first victims of the “Russian” investigation appeared. The first official charge in the investigation of the “Russian interference in American elections” was filed in Washington.
Our special guest today is Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova. She will explain everything.
The former head of Trump’s election campaign was offered an opportunity to surrender himself to the officials voluntarily, and he agreed. You will see this footage: Paul Manafort accompanied by his lawyer next to the FBI building. The charges consist of as many as 12 items. The first one – conspiracy against the US.
00:00:57,560 –> 00:00:59,200
Evgenii Popov. Essentially, high treason.
00:00:59,200 –> 00:01:05,079
Voice in the video. We see Manafort walking with his lawyer. He is entering via front door.
Mister Manafort, do you plead guilty? Just a few words. Did you conspire with the Russians?
00:01:13,360 –> 00:01:22,680
EP. This is the key question for obvious reasons. Naturally, Manafort did not answer. However, the US President seemed to have heard this question.
“There was no conspiracy” – Trump wrote in his Twitter. Trump said that Manafort is accused of things he’d done before he was part of the Trump campaign, and it’s not about the elections”. However, it is impossible to stop the blaming juggernaut.
It was just reported that the former advisor of Trump campaign acknowledged that he lied under oath in his testimony to FBI about communications with the Russians. Journalists are understandably ironic, but Trump and his team can’t joke any more.
00:02:11,400 –> 00:02:15,159
Voice in the video. Long live Russia and America! For the friendship of the peoples!
00:02:24,879 –> 00:02:26,920
EP. This is the general mood in Washington.
00:02:26,920 –> 00:02:31,239
OS. We can joke for a long time, but it isn’t funny any more. It is expected that today, even as we run our program, the indictment of Paul Manafort and his long-standing business partner Rick Gates will be made.
After that – just think about it, this isn’t funny – they will be brought to the Federal District Court in Washington, where their photos and fingerprints will be taken.
It was all nonsensical, and we could’ve laughed at it, but … they looked for a Russian link in the US election interference, but found a Ukrainian one instead, and this IS serious. Among the charges brought against Manafort was lobbying in the US for the interests of Yanukovich. Manafort was an advisor to Yanukovich, mind you, what else was he expected to lobby for?
00:03:20,400 –> 00:03:34,680
Voice in the video. This is it, these are the indictments against Paul Manafort and Richard Gates. Both are accused within the same investigation. The charges they were indicted on are related to financial schemes.
As the prosecutor stated, the indictments relate to the work of Manafort and Gates in the interests of the Ukrainian authorities, who paid them for their services.
00:03:41,119 –> 00:03:48,479
EP. If they ever learned any logic, the US should have blamed Kiev and introduced sanctions against Ukraine. None of this happened. Ukraine is near Russia, so this juggernaut is aimed at us, via Trump and his team.
00:03:57,839 –> 00:04:06,560
OS. Thanks again to Maria Vladimirovena Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, who agreed to come to our studio on a very short notice and attempt to explain it all to us live, if that’s at all possible.
To begin with, let’s show a schematic, where we understand all connections. At long last this dawned on CNN.
00:04:19,439 –> 00:04:20,959
Maria Zakharova. Now we understand who is the most important personage here.
00:04:20,959 –> 00:04:29,680
OS. Naturally, the most important one is Vladimir Putin. However, it’s not fun any more for Donald Trump. We pity him.
00:04:29,680 –> 00:04:44,000
MZ. You know, what we see today suggests to me that the American system is destroying itself. This is paradoxical, but true.
Politically, this system is based on lobbyism, not just theoretically, but in practice. Everything boils down to lobbyism. The internal lobbyism, but also external, international lobbyism, is the cornerstone of the American political system. Nobody even bothers to hide this.
00:05:08,639 –> 00:05:09,800
EP. We call this legalized corruption.
00:05:09,800 –> 00:05:24,039
MZ. No, I wouldn’t say that. I think the American system is unique, in terms of the scale and history. Look at any country in the world, be it the Middle East, North Africa, Arabian countries, or it could be Asia, Africa. If there are countries that have interests, which they are prepared to push together with the US, on the US soil, using US lobbyists, they do just that. Or if there are politicians or political groups that are willing, able, and have the money to do this, they are welcomed.
The first question asked of any serious company, or political group, or civic organization that begins working with the Americans is: are you already working with lobbyists? Who is your lobbyist? You send contact info: phone numbers, email addresses. Next step is a meeting with lobbyist groups or individual lobbyists working in a particular area.
00:06:37,479 –> 00:06:38,720
EP. Price lists?
00:06:38,720 –> 00:06:45,800
MZ. Of course, there are price lists – you are given a menu. From that menu you choose what you’d like to have, e.g., a draft law, or repeated discussions in Congress, or a more expensive option, in the Senate, or organizing a protest movement, etc.
Just now you showed the footage of, I don’t know what to call it, a circus that is going on before our eyes, all these schematics, clips, attention of the media…
I have a question to those who discusses these schematics that allegedly were revealed today, what about Saakashvili? He was not just a rep of a group or a company, he was a president of a country, which has been running out of money for a decade. Who in the States will tell us at some point about the schemes that were behind that particular person. There is an important difference: this person and his lobbyists first brought his country to collapse, second, started an aggressive war against his own populace, and all this was financed.
So, all today’s so-called investigations negate the very system, which the existing political establishment is based on.
00:08:11,479 –> 00:08:22,159
EP. Wait a minute, we know that Manafort was lobbying the Yanukovich’s interests, but it looks like he was lobbying Putin’s interests, if we believe this schematic.
00:08:22,159 –> 00:08:26,319
MZ. If we take this schematic at face value, it means that there was thievery in Ukraine, but Russia is to blame.
00:08:26,319 –> 00:08:27,879
EP. As usual.
00:08:27,879 –> 00:08:39,759
MZ. This is a strike of genius, a fantastic know-how. By the same token, as we are talking about post-Soviet countries, we can get at Russia starting anywhere. If we follow this kind of logic, which is, of course, horrific.
00:08:42,560 –> 00:08:46,600
EP. But they’ve made the schemes like this for everyone to explain where is the path to Russia.
00:08:46,600 –> 00:08:58,200
OS. Do we understand correctly – I want to emphasize this again – that Manafort at that time, in 2007-2012, was legally employed and doing his job?
00:08:58,200 –> 00:09:04,759
MZ. This is not a question that should be addressed to us. This question has nothing to do with Russia, with the Russian Federation. This is the question for the US . . .
00:09:07,039 –> 00:09:12,800
OS. But they imply that if you are for Yanukovich, you are for Putin, in a roundabout way, don’t they? Is that the logic? Where does Putin come from here?
00:09:12,800 –> 00:09:14,560
EP. How did they insert Putin in this scheme?
00:09:14,560 –> 00:09:23,680
MZ. It doesn’t matter. No one cares. This is intended for the mass consumption by the populace representing the electorate and is aimed and the next elections.
You understand, if just a month ago CNN told a story that Russia hacked computer games and influenced the choice of the African-American via Pokemons, what do you expect? This is for the elites. Pokemons, apparently were intended for the lower and middle layers on the intellectual scale, i.e. the majority, but this is crème de la crème for the elites that, apparently, does not buy the Pokemon story. I believe so. Otherwise, all this defies explanation.
00:10:01,239 –> 00:10:05,159
OS. Is this serious crème de la crème? Are they doing this in earnest? Are they trying to get at Trump through this?
00:10:05,159 –> 00:10:14,039
MZ. This is a classic PR campaign aimed at influencing the audience via audio-visual stimuli. This schematic is expected to brand itself onto the consciousness by virtue of bright colors, by virtue of simplicity of the connections.
Look here: KGB, which every American knows of, because KGB has been used as a bogeyman since he was little; KGB plus the image of the President of Russia, the word “Russia” and the Russian flag.
00:10:39,879 –> 00:10:42,079
EP. The smiling Russian President!
00:10:42,079 –> 00:10:54,159
MZ. All of this is designed exclusively to brainwash people and to have this schematics imprinted in visual memory, so people would keep returning to it. This is a pure informational and PR campaign.
00:10:57,560 –> 00:10:59,400
EP. But nevertheless . . .
00:10:59,720 –> 00:11:00,680
MZ. This is also lobbyism.
00:11:00,680 –> 00:11:02,519
OS. This is also not for free.
00:11:02,519 –> 00:11:04,280
MZ. Naturally.
EP. The former FBI Director is involved in this.
00:11:05,959 –> 00:11:25,239
MZ. Whomever you look at in that crowd – they all were involved. People providing the lobbying services act as intermediaries between the government and different organizations, including foreign.
Many stories have been told in the USA about this, for example, about the lobbyism of the Arab countries; the Middle Easter lobbyism in general has a long history in the USA.
For example, the Clinton Foundation does precisely that. It is useless to look for any sort of truth in this: all methods are to influence the audience – that is precisely what was paid for, what is being pushed.
To push why? Perfectly understandable: the next elections; the hot topic of the Russian interference; the fighting among the political elites, one of which is not prepared to except its defeat or the fact that it was its own fault – they need an external factor. They always require an external enemy. And here it is!
00:12:28,879 –> 00:12:37,959
EP. But you are being optimistic just now when you mentioned the next elections for Trump. We as reporters think that the situation is moving in a different direction for him. Manafort has been indicted; we could easily imaging Flynn to be next; then Kushner – these are not lobbyists; the Senate Committee is doing this.
00:12:50,839 –> 00:13:01,479
MZ. Importantly, when we consider the quality of these materials – this is a part of the political game. That is why there is no analysis; that’s why all is so false, and not just false but obviously organized as an informational PR campaign.
Look – the part that I liked best (I haven’t read all but most of it) is a fragment that, apparently,
00:13:25,280 –> 00:13:26,879
EP. Point 22, I think.
00:13:26,879 –> 00:13:34,839
MZ. according to the latest materials from the American intelligence services . . .
00:13:34,839 –> 00:13:36,039
OS. Page 16.
00:13:36,039 –> 00:13:42,400
MZ. Yulia Timoshenko was the President of Ukraine before Yanukovich. We didn’t know that, did we? This is a discovery.
00:13:47,439 –> 00:13:48,400
OS. If you look at page 16 of this impressive document.
00:13:48,400 –> 00:13:50,079
EP. Why? Is there a reason?
00:13:50,079 –> 00:13:58,039
MZ. If I had to guess, I’d say that, perhaps, somewhere in the internal paperwork in some office she was listed as the President.
OS. In the price-list?
00:13:59,560 –> 00:14:06,159
MZ. Perhaps. Possibly, the going rates for Presidents of Ukraine are higher.
00:14:06,159 –> 00:14:10,839
OS. So, corruption – corruption here as well.
00:14:10,839 –> 00:14:26,759
MZ. One important remark. This detail shows how this document was cooked up, how sloppily it was put together. When a serious investigation is conducted, such mistakes aren’s made. This is indicative of the preparation of an offensive, brash, brazen material intended to shock everyone by the horror of the events.
One important fact. Now they presented information about what supposedly took place before 2015.
00:14:55,639 –> 00:14:59,959
OS. From 2010 to 2014.
00:14:59,959 –> 00:15:19,319
MZ. I want to point out that the amount of money pumped into Ukraine today is incommensurable with any lobbying payments – it is way above. We are talking hundreds of millions of dollars, well, many hundreds – you remember full well all the IMF tranches given to Ukraine.
We also know, and the entire international community knows, that how quickly, after a week or two, this money starts to make appearances in the banks outside of Ukraine. Anyone has ever asked what is happening? Who is behind all this? All Western non-governmental organizations and even the Western establishment admitted that the level of corruption in the today’s Ukraine is way above it has ever been, in any preceding year, anywhere in the post-Soviet region.
Is anyone making those “revelations” interested in this? No one.
00:16:07,079 –> 00:16:13,839
OS. Apparently, the right people are getting lobbied, whereas at that time the undesirable people got lobbied.
00:16:13,839 –> 00:16:26,319
MZ. Speaking about lobbyism. Do you remember those sensational photos of how the White House hosted Osama bin Laden? This is classical lobbyism in the purest sense of the word.
00:16:26,319 –> 00:16:31,720
OS. We were recently told about Klimkin (Ukrainian Foreign Minister) who had a paid for photo session in Oval Cabinet of the White House
00:16:31,720 –> 00:16:34,680
MZ. I believe equating Klimkin and bin Laden is a bit too much, Olga.
00:16:34,680 –> 00:16:37,800
OS. But this was the latest, and all about the money.
00:16:37,800 –> 00:16:46,200
MZ. You remember the same pattern: pumping money into a specific personage (like bin Laden), a meeting and talks in the White House; promotion and propaganda all over the world as the new democratic force that should come to power (in this case, in Afghanistan) and start a new era for the country.
Was anyone interested in who was behind that lobbying effort for this “brilliant” idea? How much money was invested in this? Which internal American mechanisms were utilized to lobby bin Laden? And how much money, American as well as that of the entire world, was spent later to neutralize him?
Let us move on in long strides. The invasion of Iraq. The lobbying effort around the world was super-intense. Every means was employed. They almost recruited even the UN Security Council. Thanks God that didn’t work out due to a clear firm position of the members. Remember, non-governmental organizations, the civil society, so-called Iraqi political refugees, and so on, which had a continuous access to the American TV channels. The invasions took place, and it took place precisely thanks to these lobbying waive, which explained to the population why invading Iraq is so absolutely necessary.
We see today’s Iraq and the difficulties the country is facing. We see a huge terrorism problem, an enormous political divisions, national, religious, which had not existed before. They did have problems but not like that. We know about hundreds of thousands civilians killed in that war. Anybody in the US answered for lobbying the Iraq invasion?
Anyone took an interest in this subject? No one. Not a single person.
00:18:33,479 –> 00:18:34,759
EP. You yourself said it is a lawful practice.
00:18:34,759 –> 00:18:47,400
Not a single report was prepared about who was behind this and how much money was injected into the organizations that lobbied for the invasion of Iraq.
Here we go. The today’s story, however, is entirely superficial. It is needed as a powerful instrument for the internal political struggle.
00:18:58,759 –> 00:19:06,319
EP. What if the impeachment takes place? Are we ready for that? As I understand, we are often told about the bottom in our relations that we reached, and so on.
00:19:06,319 –> 00:19:16,000
MZ. I believe we should direct such question to the American establishment and not to the Russian Federation. What is happening here is . . .
00:19:20,680 –> 00:19:26,720
EP. OK, do you have any contacts these days? With the Department of State, something routine? Do tell they still exist, at least.
00:19:26,720 –> 00:19:28,959
OS. A next victim, perhaps?
00:19:28,959 –> 00:19:42,280
MZ. Another connection that was not represented in that schematics of theirs: <u>Obama – Kerry – Lavrov – and, yes, again Putin. One more connection they could’ve depicted.
I will tell you why I started by mentioning a factor, or a process, of the system’s self-negation. I gave you a few examples. But there is another example of this, a very telling one – a recent scandal around Twitter, which announced hat it will no longer publish ads of the TV company Russia Today and the new agency Sputnik.
It might seem that a private company has the right to make such a decision based on its own ideology and internal editorial policy. However, the company clearly explained that it based its decision on the repost by the American intelligence agencies. What do we have here? They also said that this decision and the decision to transfer $2 million to charities by the way of atonement, sort of, was difficult for the company to make. That was a difficult decision for them. So, on the one hand, we see deep involvement of the American intelligence services in the decision making process as well as their strong influence on that process in a private business.
On the other hand, any company, Russian or not, that does business with Twitter by placing ads with its service becomes an object of interest for the American intelligence. Not many people know this but Russia Today recently published the information. . .
00:21:39,159 –> 00:21:41,319
EP. A commercial offer from Twitter?
00:21:41,319 –> 00:21:53,680
MZ. I want to tell about this here on this show. This is absurd: the story was presented as if RT influenced the audience, and those sneaky Russians warmed their way to the pages of Twitter and from there started to spread their influence. I want to draw your attention to the truth, which is out there in the open.
It was Twitter that came to Russia Today and offered a commercial contract. They offered RT to buy ad space and place ads on Twitter. As far as I know, RT looked at the offer, selected what it liked and accepted the proposals that it was interested in. That’s how it happened and not the other way around.
So, an American private company came to the Russians and offered to buy advertising services. Later it would be twisted in a usual way. However, any company could be caught in this kind of trap. Any company that does, for example, business with Twitter. Not just a Russian one, but from any country. They would be visited and offered advantageous conditions by a private American company like Twitter; they would sign a contract and pay the money. But before they know it, they would be visited by American intelligence services, or the American intelligence keeps an eye on that foreign company, which will soon suffer the image problems.
00:23:26,319 –> 00:23:35,920
OS. One more question, the last one. Do you understand, I mean the Russian Foreign Ministry, who is now in really charge in the United States?
00:23:35,920 –> 00:23:41,239
MZ. Judging by that schematics, we know who is the boss – we have seen him – Vladimir Putin.
00:23:41,239 –> 00:23:49,759
EP. Cool. The only things that works without fail is the list of sanctions – they keep coming. The State Department already presented new ones.
00:23:49,759 –> 00:23:54,039
OS. Trump still has any power to decide anything? Just for our own understanding.
00:23:54,039 –> 00:24:03,720
MZ. Olga, I understand we are under the impression of their propaganda, but I still believe this question should be addressed to the American side and not the Russian Foreign Ministry: who is in change and who is responsible for what.
00:24:08,079 –> 00:24:16,000
EP. Forgive me, Maria, but we are the ones who elected Trump, as they insist. However, this is not a joking matter. Thank you very much for coming to our show.
Maria Zakharova, The Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
00:24:18,920 –> 00:24:25,920
OS. Here I have in my hands that same report that caused the first American heads to fall, figuratively speaking.
We counted: Russia is mentioned 4 times, only 4 times, although we have elected the President Trump for them! Ukraine is mentioned 32 times, though. And here we are together again, Russia and Ukraine, even in this fabulous report.
00:24:37,839 –> 00:24:39,759
EP. We will be back soon. This is 60 MINUTES.
You should also post links in addition to embedding the videos.
Here it is:
https://rutube.ru/video/c9e4e9722bb5594f8f9f97f95635f0b2/
saker. upload to youtube anyway because from there for example I can download the movie. I cannot from rutube, and it is also valuable for others to keep a copy..
The same problem arises again. Video doesn’t show on Chrome. You dont need another video hosting site(although compared to youtube there may be speed issues), just put the full address of the video somewhere in article than doing it the “cool” way of just posting the embed code which goes hidden somehow.
For those who dont see the video click the embed link below-:
http://rutube.ru/play/embed/10697629
Works OK for me on Chrome. I’m in Canada.
There are tones of video hosting sites. Might even be able to begin posting at archive.org.
All Russian sites should be very freely transitioning off US based sign-up sites. They’re doing the opposite, and worse, starting to believe in copyright. If “google” doesn’t believe in it (see googlebooks), if Disney doesn’t (see endless ownership of mickey mouse), why should anyone
Censorship via ContentID, the Israeli (who else) developed method used by Youtube and others to automatically remove ‘copyright’ material shows just how clever the Deep State really is. As you say, what sense does it make to limit the access the good Russian news media. But by pitching to the very unpleasant people who own Russian media outlets (media barons are scum, whether from the West, Russia or anywhere- it just goes with the territory), the Deep State can use its business proxies to get Russia to self-censor.
Its the same with Copyright extensions. Musical peformances (as opposed to the music itself) from the late 50s and early 60s were about to hit the public domain in the UK, til the jewish owned publishers paid off the British politicians. Yet copies of performances from that date are worth pennies commercially compared to current music- and freeing up access allows new forms of creativity that eventually enlarge the biz and bring in more revenue.
Anyway the video- horribly naive in that it takes everything that happens in the USA at ***face value***, and doesn’t encourage the audience to think about what lies beneath.
1) Russia is demonised. Yes- and the conclusion is ***not*** some pseudo analysis of ‘hypocrisy’ in who can lobby and who cannot in the USA. It is an acceptance that the Deep State is at full blown war with Russia.
2) We have the standard confusion about how political theatre plays out in the West. To see otherwise smart Russians try to ‘scientifically’ dissect current events is horrifying. And smart person will notice it is Clinton and the Democratic Party that has been terminally wounded in press coverage since Trump’s election, and that the Deep State is fully satisfied by Trump and is going to give him a second term. The ‘red scare’ ‘russian traitor’ nonsense is designed to destroy any non-Deep State controlled ‘right’ movement that may try to befriend Trump and/or influence him.
This current affairs show is clearly a tabloid one aimed at very unsophisticated viewers. It encourages fatal bottom up ‘thinking’ where people fixate on current detail, and never think about the top down manipulations.
When Soviet Russia was demonised by the West, there was ‘good’ cause- and a genuine debate could be held about the nature of the Soviet system. That doesn’t mean Soviet Russia was all bad or even mostly bad- just that the facts on the ground allowed an argument for ‘badness’ to be made.
But today, it is impossible to ***factually*** argue that any of Russia’s behaviours are just cause for Russia to be demonised. If Russia ‘sins’, those sins are no worse in nature than those of any other nation. Yet the West is demonsing Russia to a degree not even seen during the Cold War- and the illogic will not be explained by any ‘bottom up’ examination.
Of course the propagandists of the West, mostly jewish, specialise in certain tactics- and ***selective prosecution*** is a favourite. So the FBI use their power to question a person about things that are ***not*** criminal, but would ruin that person if made public. And the person being interrogated knows they have commited no crime, but if they are truthful with the FBI will have their life ruined. But the sick zionist system that runs in the USA make ‘lying’ to an FBI thug an extremely serious crime, even when the person being interrogated has commited no crime, nor has knowledge of any that have.
It’s like ‘resisting arrest’ in the USA- a catch-all that converts an ***innocent*** person being abused by a uniformed thug into an actual ‘criminal’, simply because the citizen objected to the abuse. Will the FBI every haul in powerful ***jews*** and question them about their terrible behaviour, forcing them to reveal their operations. Someone like Weinstein, say. Hell will freeze over first. This selective persecution by the FBI slips between the cracks of the US Constitution- a Constitution written when slavery was legal, and therefore never ruled against this form of abuse of power by the State.
Let me make this simple. Google and Facebook spy on all of us. There’s a person who can potentially casue problems for the Deep State in the USA. So the FBI hauls him in (which they can do to any US citizen without a warrant) for ‘questioning’ based on information the web giants have mined- and question him about person aspects of his life that, while legal, would cause him unimaginable personal and professional damage if made more widely known. If he answers truthfully, the FBI makes public the details, as they are legally allowed to do. If he lies, the FBI prosecutes him for lying to an FBI agent.
Very few people (probably including most of you reading this) have considered the ‘wrong’ of ‘selective’ prosecution, or even selective questioning. You think, naively, it is about ‘guilt’ or ‘innocence’. But Orwell explained what it means when a police state can arrest any one for ‘questioning’, and when that state makes so many laws, we are all guily of something. Such a police state has zero interest in directly persecution most people- no they are ruled by fear and guilt. But the generic powers mean anyone can be taken out at any time.
Weinstein has spent his life raping women, but he is a powerful jew protected by other powerful jews, so he hasn’t even been arrested. Mike Tyson had a gold-digger, he said she said rape allegation against him, but because he was a ‘rogue’ powerful ‘black’ figure, he was imprisoned for years on zero evidence. This is a ‘selective’ system in play. Men in the USA can be arrested and convicted on the basis of ***zero*** evidence in ‘rape’ cases because a jury is allowed to convict on sentiment alone – yet few know the injustice is in the fact that the case should never have reached a court in the first place, because only a case where the evidence is good should be presented to a jury in the first place. If random black men were simply arrested at random for rape, and the only ‘evidence’ was a woman claiming ‘rape’ had happened, 50%+ of these black men would be convicted by a jury anywhere in America.
Of course people in the US political system had contact with Russia, Russia politicians, Russian business people, and Russians in general. The same is true of any other named nation. But now you see why Russia had to be demonsied first. So contact with ‘Russia’ seems to have a compeltely different nature to contact with Nation X.
Now here’s the thing. To successfully demonise a nation like Russia, that nation has to go along with the demonisation process. Say what?! Well this is what I mean. The USA and UK have to bad-mouth Russia at every opportunity, while Russia says nice things about the UK and USA at every opportunity. The ‘victim’ has to be an active participant in the victim project by lauding those that make him victim at every turn. And then independent witnesses think there must be something to this demonisation, cos the victim never stands up to the accusers.
Putin at the UN is Russia voting for almost every sick, vile, and evil UN resolution crafted by the West. Invasion of Iraq, no-fly zones over Libya, sanctions and weapon blockades on Iran, Yemen and N Korea. Putin had Russia vote for all of these things- in order to try to appease the west. If I was being demonised, I would attack my attackers with every act and word at my disposal. But what does Putin do? Our ‘muscular Vicar’ says “can’t we all just get along”, and pats his attackers on their backs.
Putin should issue a global statement stating that Russia will veto any resolution at the UN raised by any power that sanctions Russia in any way. The USA has this policy. The UK has this policy. Its time for Russia to grow a pair and have the same policy. The UN is the tool of the West (its location in NY is a bit of a clue don’t you think), and the UN was directly responsible for the Korean War, Vietnam War, Afghanistan War (late 20th Century), Kosovo War, Invasion of Iraq, dsetruction of Libya, Yemen and Syria etc. The UN is a tool of the supreme warmongers, and China and Russia are fully fooled simply be giving them a seat at the table.
The situation Putin allows to grow in the USA is an insane danger as it emboldens very stupid but powerful Americans into thinking that attacking Russia and Russian interests in any and all possible ways is a ‘good’ idea. The Deep State, that plans for a final controlled war with Russia, knows how much such an environment helps their goals.
This whole pathetic Russian “we’re innocent, honest” is such a weak play it makes me want to vomit. Mike Tyson said he was innocent- still went to prison for years on no evidence justified cos he was a scary big ‘black’ force. Weinstein, like Polanski- even though both admit they are the worst sex criminals imaginable- will never spend a day in prison because they are jewish. At the level of Empire Power Games it isn’t about ‘innocence’- it is about ***power*** and how you use power. The Deep State is clobbering Russia at this time, and Russia hasn’t thrown even a single jab back.
One day Putin is going to have to hurt the USA, and badly. If he does it today, it can be a lesson to the American people to back down- and they will. America has that nature and thoroughly respects the ***exercised*** true power of others. A very sound ‘punch in the nose’ today, and the USA will behave itself for decades to come.
But what if Putin waits for ‘tomorrow’ to deliver that blow. Then I’m afraid it’s ‘curtains’ for all of us. Empire powers reach a point, when one or more are ruled by monsters who crave great wars, where great war becomes unavoidable. A tipping point is reached where the peaceful Empire Powers can act in any thinkable way, and yet war will still erupt. In full view of all of us, the Deep State Demons are taking us to that tipping point. The demonisation of Russia is meant to eventually cross a line that cannot be crossed back.
By being ‘reasonable’, Putin is being the most dangerously ***unreasonable*** person in history. The anglo-zionist empire cannot be reasoned with. It wants what it wants, and only absolute certainty that it will fail makes it change course.
I think you have a point the farce must end some time.
But clearly our comrades don’t want it to stop.
They are probably quite happy as it is.
What other explanation can there be for not calling a spade a spade.
9/11, ukraina, lybia, hell, usa was caught red handed helping terrorists in siria, and was not invited to leave by russia yet? how about some international laws, crimes of aggression?
Buying time some say…
Both wings of the same bird others say…
Thanks for your insights. There are times I cannot help but wonder if the true controllers of our human race (the beings who control all sides), the Ultimate Puppet-masters, get together with their drinks and cigars and laugh their asses off over how they can pit us humans against each other—- and for them, it is all just entertainment!
” cos the victim never stands up to the accusers.”
A simple but crucial point.
Any (good) lawyer or prosecutor or even police detective will tell you:
The accused must be given the opportuniity to state (e.g., to a jury) that he/she is innocent, that he/she did not commit the crime he/she is accused of.
The guilty have a hard time making that statement.
The innocent will make it naturally and repeatedly and will not stop saying it!
Silence = consent in the accusations.
So, I agree that it is important for Putin to state categorically that all crazy Russia-Gate allegations are false.
That charge in itself carries a charge.
Bearing false witness, or falsely accusing another, is itself a crime.
The tables must be turned here.
Putin is a judo black belt.
I dont understand why he doesn’t convert the allegations against himself and Russia into a force that lands accusers flat on their faces.
Katherine
Very good comments and I agree with most of what you say .All I can say as a rebuttal is that you need to be patient .We must not look at the situation through American eyes .Russia has a different take on how to proceed . To use possibly an overused cliches ,patience grasshopper ,good things come to him who waits .
Putin is a good leader who leads with help of good people and I suspect ,no ,I know ,they are doing it the proper way.
Bum bum. Actually this would be my reaction and advise too, give back a bloody nose, because in West this gives respect in your opponent.
But isnt this Western thinking?
Looking back on how Putin/Russia Government during all the difficulties succeeded to change focus and still constantly moving forward, I would prefer some Russian intellectual to explain it.
Look at Syria how US plan A, B, C, D, E, more to come, all ends up in smoke for US.
For me it looks like Russia and its Allies just gives US more rope and rope and rope and rope to hang itself with.
This is dangerous? Sure but it has been that all the way since Crimea. And what happened? Russia and Allies just got stronger and stronger and stronger on the world scene, still maintaining a strong decent style!
Russia and Putin are playing the waiting game. They know what the US foreign debt is, they know what the US domestic debt is, and they know that the dollar is printed backed by nothing. They also know that the US Defense Budget is higher than what is officially stated. How long can such a situation last ? Don’t forget about Putin’s qualifications: A degree in law and a Phd in economics. On top of that he worked in the upper echelons of the KGB. He knows what he is doing. Russia and China are preparing to introduce gold backed rubles and yuans, while China is also preparing to introduce the petro-yuan. Why do you think Trump is going to China ? He is hoping to make some sort of deal. I don’t see him getting much, if anything. It’s a well know fact that when a country is playing empire, it pays a huge financial price and on top of that makes a heap of enemies. That’s the situation of the US today.
“One day Putin is going to have to hurt the USA, and badly… A very sound ‘punch in the nose’ today, and the USA will behave itself for decades to come.”
The bankster empire (which is bigger and older than just the USA) has never worked that way, Twi. For instance, the US defeated England, one of the earlier imperial heavy-hitters, in the American Revolutionary War, and do you think the banksters backed down? No. They continued manipulating the US’s development, got Americans to keep institutions like debt slavery, and one of the Federal Reserve’s predecessors, the 1st Bank of the US was chartered in 1791.
When the US Congress voted to not renew the bank’s charter in 1811, the War of 1812 started about five months later. The US defeated England again, but did that get the banksters to roll over and give up? No. About one year after the war ended, the “bold and bankrupt adventurers and bankers,” as Thomas Jefferson called them, got the country to charter the 2nd Bank of the US. Putin focusing on the information war is not a mistake: Historically, it has mattered more than the shooting war.
“The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations… This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people, was the real American Revolution.”
~ Founder and President John Adams, 1818
“The anglo-zionist empire cannot be reasoned with.”
The die-hard adherents: No. The majority of people the world elites depend on: Yes, they can be reasoned with and have been reasoned with.
“Soldiers protesting U.S. military strikes against Syria are taking to Facebook to voice their opposition to a war. “‘I didn’t join the Marine Corps to fight for al Qaeda in a Syrian Civil War,’ one Marine in uniform declared, in a message written on a piece of paper he held strategically to block his face and conceal his identity.”
~ “Service members anonymously protest potential war against Syria on Facebook,” Leslie Larson
The Armed Forces Tea Party and other Syrian War protestors helped ruin the 2013 escalation partly because of their access to the Internet and alternative media, and Russian-influenced media played big role in that. Even Putin himself was warning people that the banksters’ chemical weapon narrative was “utter nonsense.”
If Russia did unnecessarily respond more aggressively, the cartel’s stooges would finally have sufficient justification to shut down all “pro-Russian propaganda.” You would have no more Saker, RT, Veterans Today, South Front, PressTV, or anything like that: And then where would we be with nothing but the Satanists’ echo chamber…? Do you think “the West” is awake enough to truly push back when such a thing happens…? If not, then continuing to wake people up until the banksters really force the issue is the best strategy.
To Twilight.
Agree 100% with this, particularly the influence of the Kosher Nostra and the futility of Russian appeasement of the Jewnited Snakes.
Russia has stabbed one country after another in the back – Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Iran, now North Korea.
It has supported/ facilitated/ endorsed/ provided diplomatic cover and legitimacy, for US aggression/ regime change/ economic strangulation of friendly countries.
It has always sold out friendly countries in futile attempts to appease the US.
It never gets anything in return – just endless vilification of all things Russian, more and more economic sanctions, missile bases and troops on its borders, interference in Russian politics and elections, support for Islamist terrorists in the Caucasus, endless provocations against Russian diplomats and Russian sport.
Just take Iran – Russia failed to complete Bushehr as it was contracted to do, refused to deliver S300s Iran had paid for, supported economic strangulation of Iran on trumped up WMD allegations that Russia knew were lies and said were lies. In return Russia got a worthless promise that was never kept not to station missiles on Russia’s borders.
Russia persists in trying to negotiate with the US, which has broken every agreement it ever made – NATO enlargement, ABM, Intermediate missiles, stationing troops in Eastern Europe, the Iran nuclear agreement. Trying to negotiate with the US is not just futile, it is dangerous and destructive. Recent agreements with the US over Syria were broken in less than 24 hours.
Whenever I argue this, a posse of people queue up to argue the contrary – Oh, but Yeltsin did that and he was drunk/ Oh, but Medvedev did that/ Oh, but that’s all a cunning plan while Russia is buying more gold, etc., etc.
But these arguments and excuses are wearing very thin.
Russia needs to grow some balls and stop appeasing Uncle Sam before it is too late.
Russia did NOT stab Yugoslavia in the back. You have to take into consideration the economic and political status of Russia under Yeltsin, it being plundered every year of 100 billion dollars by Western banks and corporations. Russia did all it could under the circumstances. Now it is doing much more, as expected when Serbia is in question.
“It has always sold out friendly countries in futile attempts to appease the US.”
Not necessarily, Mark. Look at Syria, for example. Letting a handful of bankster airstrikes slide is not going to overcome forcing the terrorists [the cartel’s “ground force”] out of larger parts of Syria, stabilizing more of the country, encouraging more refugees to return to their homes, etc. Russia is actually helping Syria get stronger, so strategically, this is a net loss for Zionist shenanigans.
“Russia persists in trying to negotiate with the US, which has broken every agreement it ever made…”
And when it comes to many “Westerners,” those that the banksters rely on to actually fight their racket wars: Do you think regular people would be more or less willing to die for such lying, sociopathic “leaders”?
“War is the greatest injustice. We are not fighting the culprits. Those who pay, who incite, who use the media to make people turn against each other — this is who we should fight against.”
~ Donbass militia member Alexey Mozgovoy, 2015
“Russia needs to grow some balls and stop appeasing Uncle Sam before it is too late.”
Because getting unnecessarily aggressive worked out sooo well for the previous anti-bankster axis during the last world war…? To keep the empire from winning yet again, surely a different approach must be made this time…
Is it not possible to make the video into a MP4 file and have it downloadable from your website? Solves all the issues mentioned unless you absolutely have to watch it streaming.
Yes, I suppose I could. But where would you recommend I upload it?
The Saker
Firefox will view an mp4 file in the browser, by the way.
And by the way this is already an mp4 file. I use the free plugin “Video DownloadHelper” and I already have the Maria vid downloaded straight through this web page – Simonyan next.
The plugin is necessary because this business of embedding a video in a website is frustrating when there are no obvious ways to download the file. A YouTube video identifies itself and offers a click through to YT and it’s easy to download from there. These rutube videos don’t do that so it’s very helpful to give the link.
And I think many of the file sharing sites will play a video on their site also. I assume you want Russian hosting – or at least none of the mainstream western platforms like Dropbox.
I just looked in Google and the first page of free video hosting & sharing sites is loaded – the choices are abundant. Scott could probably research it all in 30 minutes.
~~
Massive thanks to you and Eugenia for this work, Saker. Now to watch the videos :)
If it wasn’t so serious for world peace and for American stability, it would, indeed, be outrageously funny. I can’t imagine what ordinary Americans think of this political circus brought to us daily by US media corporations.
@Ron Horn: “I can’t imagine what ordinary Americans think of this political circus brought to us daily by US media corporations.”
It’s very imaginable, even obvious. In general, Americans understand that poiticians tend to be liars and scoundrels, but they clap and cheer like trained seals for them anyway. They weep and wail if their candidate loses. It is the underlying stupidity of the masses–or if you prefer, the low level of intelligence and acumen of the masses. Similarly, the populace may be somewhat disdainful of the media, but they glue themselves to the TV anyway, and get themselves nicely brainwashed in the process. By definition, a large collectivity taken as a whole is a passive medium.
Twilight’s remarks are spot-on.
What the zionists understand is that the “ordinary” citizen of any country can be manipulated in the mass; what is poorly understood is the level of calculated malevolence behind the neocon-zionist enterprise.
Maria Zakharova is awesome. She coins a phrase–lobbyism and asks,” What about the money trails involved in this “lobbysim”? She asks that several times pointing out correctly that no one asks about it. However, if one can have a special counsel to check out Manafort’s and Trump’s finances, well, that just opens the legal door for the tables to be turned.
The big tech companies are in bed with the US intelligence and it is not about an innocent private company being bullied by the big bad CIA–that is their cover story. They are willing collaborators- CIA-CNN, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon etc.
Be patient–the hypnotism involved in this bait and switch show is not over yet. It is a form of mass hypnotism and the opinion makers in the US are consciously bullying the American people into not talking politics with one another. Why?
People want to be liked, accepted first and foremost. Plus the subconscious mind is programmed by repetition and what is called “screen time”.
Then follow with the 3 elements of mass hypnosis:
1. excited imagination
2. shock to the system
3 loss of equilibrium
And finish with gaslighting–telling people that their perception of reality is insane. There is a problem implementing this which they did find out in Las Vegas, i.e. Popular use of cell phones. People whipped out their cell phones and recorded the audio/visual events and then starting sharing them online. The CIA-mob-Democratic Party/Deep State narrative started to fall apart. Hence there is a de facto total black out on news about Las Vegas massacre today.
This theater of the absurd is Americana to the max and trying to fit it into a Russian perspective is interesting but it is like trying to fit a foot into an undersized shoe. And there are missed nuances galore. Keep watching….more will be revealed as the disillusionment of the American people continues ( The 4th Estate, the hysterical intelligentsia, NFL, Hollywood, NPR….etc.) This week end silly people in black costumes are going to start “The Revolution” officially in several dozen cities. Yes, it will be televised and was pre advertised with a half page ad in the NYT. Really. Marx and Lenin would die laughing if they were not already dead.
The theater of the absurd is playing in a bubble–no one except the power brokers with whom unfortunately the diplomatic services of the RF have to deal are watching it. Personally I am looking forward to the coming Christmas season.
Hi, (from Belgium)
Very good work, and what a woman…
Guy
Sir,
You might take a look at Bitchute for uploads. Bitchute is based on Bittorent technology. There are other alternatives, but Bitchute is the one with which I am most familiar.
Thank you for all the informative articles. We may not always agree, but your opinions are well-reasoned and def worth reading.
Thank you again. Regards.
This is part of a regular tv series so I imagine that they have different themes each week and we have only seen one so can’t judge it fairly
However it does show how the US empire is able to control the agenda. Not just in Russia but the whole world seems as if in a hypnotic entrained state vis-a-vis the US and it’s dramas.
Were we really arguing passionately on here just a few weeks ago about Civil war statues? Mad.
This is what Maria is trying to cut through.
This site recently discussed relative military strengths of the RF and the US, but I’d argue that the vice like grip the media has on opinion shaping and manipulation of the population is far worse as it is invisible and when people come out with statements about, say, Putin they think these are their own conclusions. The Zionists greatest weapon isn’t the bomb it’s television. Now they sell huge televisions which dominate the entire living space and even actually spy on the viewer.
Rule one for waking up. Get rid of your television.
The converse of that is that, right though she is, nobody in the west pays an iota of attention to anything Russia says. Putin has given some serious warnings to the west. Do they engage in constructive discussion? No, they ignore it. And he is the president. .
The voice of truth is a small flame in a large dark universe.
Given that we don’t know what else the programme discussed on other weeks I do nonetheless wish they would cover this ( link below) – non stop and as noisily as the mad noise about nothing from Washington because once the facts are popularly accepted as the truth it would destroy US credibility globally. Shame and humiliation would dampen America’s ardour for war once they are seen for what they are – international criminals and nothing more.
Given the global stakes in this war of terror, the millions affected, the millions killed, the trillions in damage to peoples’ countries I would have hoped RT would run with it for a good spell. But they don’t so there we are.
“Bombshell Revelation of US and Saudi Culpability in Creating ISIS Ignored by Mainstream Media – and by the Team Trump”
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2017/11/03/bombshell-revelation-us-saudi-culpability-creating-isis-ignored-mainstream-media-trump.html
And even show how the whole war on terror was a construct rolled out by the US and Israel’s Netanyahu in the late seventies. Now THAT would be worth watching.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9nEMDBAxro ( 17 minutes and full of facts)
I’ve only watched Part One so far. I simultaneously felt like either crying or throwing up. To hear such a clear articulation of truth is astounding. And it’s astounding how quickly Ms. Zakharova can organize her thoughts and present them. Hillary is a Yale Law School grad, yet pales in comparison as an advocate. I’m in love with Ms. Zakharova, I must confess. I wish she’d take out U.S. citizenship so she could become a presidential candidate here. She’d lose, of course. But perhaps hearing a reasoned analysis based on facts would shock at least a few Americans enough that they’d actually consider opening their minds. Yeah, I know: dream on.
Eugenia and Saker: ochen spasibo!!!!
Thanks again.
Very interesting views from Maria Zakharova particularly the part on US lobbying. It definitely gives me a different view of the issue. And a great joke at the end when she points out that apparently Putin is in charge in Washington. Thank God someone is.
And I learned something new; Yula Timosenko was President of Ukraine. Do you think it was the CIA that discovered this amazing fact?
One minor point about the sub-titles. At one point when Maria Zakharova is describing Twitter trying to sell ad space it RT the sentence reads that Twitter is trying to buy add space on RT.
It is at 22:45 “So an American private company came to the Russians and offered to buy advertising services”
It should read “So an American private company came to the Russians and offered to sell them advertising services.”
The word “them” is not strictly necessary but it is more idiomatic.
Please keep posting videos like these. They are refreshing in the different viewpoints they present.
In one sentence: what an incredible woman.
(Maria, if you have some spare time, I have an excellent glass of wine ready, many questions and a listening ear).
Funny also, that in our pussified west we talk a lot about ‘power women’, but Russia has them (Maria Zakharova, Margarita Simonyan, Elvira Nabiullina…) but never mentions them as such. That reflects the Russian culture, I guess?
Thanks Saker and Eugenia, for your efforts to share this. I was able to watch this on a fortified Firefox browser, but I also use a VPN.
I have no experience with Russian TV, but was wondering whether such an interview would be able on western TV. Asking the question is also answering it.
@twilight:
“One day Putin is going to have to hurt the USA, and badly. If he does it today, it can be a lesson to the American people to back down- and they will. America has that nature and thoroughly respects the ***exercised*** true power of others. A very sound ‘punch in the nose’ today, and the USA will behave itself for decades to come. ”
Agreed, but with a sideline.
There’s a large difference between the American people and the American government, but I guess that you meant is as such.
Furthermore, I have my doubts whether the American government reflects the American soul. It’s kidnapped by neocons and zionists. Especially for the latter, they will never stop.
But a sound ‘punch in the nose’ to have some ‘breathing space’ would be good anyway.
Cheers, Rob
Very good interview with Maria Zakharova ,revealing the truth of the way the Americans control the minds of their citizens .Not all but most.
Thank you Saker for making this available .read your book and enjoyed your writing style immensely .
A thousand thanks. That was awesome.
A microcosm of the info war found its way onto tass news:
“the KHL [Russian hockey league] complies with the rules of IIHL (International Ice Hockey Federation) and WADA (the World Anti-Doping Agency) and does not tolerate doping.”
“The NHL [American hockey league] does not comply with either the IIHF or WADA.”
The article implies the American hockey league is somehow less credible for not submitting to these dubious, globalist organizations, even though the Russian organization benefits in no way by submitting to them. This is the problem. It’s these communist-internationalist habits leftover in Russia that make it very difficult to make headway politically. When an “international organization” shows up in Russia, unless the Russians invented and control it, they need to not recognize its existence. WADA, or whatever it is called, simply doesn’t exist. Puff the magic dragon live by the sea. There’s the anglo-american empire and it targets Russia under different names. We need not care what names are used. (How many group names for terrorists in Syria? Who cares.) We need only detect the enemy on our radars.
Globalist institutions are anglo-american based. Second, no anglo-american oligarch would submit to them for the obvious reason that they are designed to weaken their opponents. Does Maria Zakharova get this? Maybe she does. I’d like to know.
Russia is complaining, “where’s the justice in international law?” Why? If you really want to establish international law, you don’t need to train more lawyers to argue cases. At this point, you need cement trucks and hard-hats. New halls of justice should be built for real legal proceedings to take place. Argue your cases so not to create a scare. But start the dozers up.
I agree with much of the oration by Ms. Zakharova and I am not much of a fan of Alex Jones but I believe they either didn’t understand the skit presented or they misrepresented it for its propaganda value. Jones is a supporter of President Trump and the clownish skit surely was intended as broad satire.
Maria is THE coolest cat. Bravo.

To twilight’s interesting contribution, the no-fly resolution vs Libya in 2011 was not Putin’s, and yes was a diaboloical con by which horrific crimes were committed against the Libyan people and against Libya; a country that arguably, prior to that attack, despite much foreign subterfuge, was one of the more successful on earth, in terms of quality of life and prospects.
To those who argue that Russia has been sometimes wanting over the last couple of decades in regards to doing the right things geopolitically, find one country on the planet that comes even close to having achieved what Russia has achieved in challenging the anglozionist global ‘hegemon’ and utterly pathological totalitarian wannabee? And simultaneous to this extraordinarily challenging and dangerous and singular international role, Russia has gone far in rebuilding inself militarily, socially economically, and I would say even spiritually.
In Putin asserting Russia’s intention of rebuilding and ensuring national sovereignty, and acting effectively in that regard, Russia is providing essential and on the whole intelligent leadership, and a role model, towards international sanity. The great need now is for more countries to join the effort, to in effect begin to function in harmony with Russia’s historic struggle with global totalitarianism. The fate of the planet and human destiny is at stake.
“UPDATED WITH TRANSCRIPT”
Again, this is really great. Many thanks.
Maria Zakharova: CNN with brains.
