This just sent to me by “T” (thanks!):
The nationalists who had seized the local administration building have been evicted by a pro-Russian crowd after a nasty fight, they are now surrounded by cops who protect them form the angry crowd which is screaming “this is Kharkov, not Kiev!” and “Fascists!”:
I still can’t really believe that up until now during this whole mess, Russia and pro-Russia forces are and continue to be the textbook examples of how these things should be settled. My respect! Very professional, despite all the murder and incitement that cannot but bring emotions to the boiling point.

Yes indeed. It renews one’s faith in REAL FREEDOM and REAL CHOICE, not the swill being served in western MSM.
Here is an interesting map:

re: anonymous comment about Russian professionalism.
I can’t help thinking that if Americans had carried out the equivalent operation there would be hundreds of civilian dead and dozens of US soldiers killed by friendly fire.
Just saying…
@Toronto Mike
What do you mean, friendly fire? Some white phoshphorous dropped from a safe distance by the “brave pilots” of the US, like in their most recent ME adventures. ;)
Unless they want to go depleted uranium. In that case friendly fire – or even the “unintended” consequences of the soldiers suffering from radiation induced symptoms – isn’t unlikely…

Though i think Crimea has right to decide its own future (whether bigger autonomy under Ukraine umbrella or be part of Russia). I find it amusing how commentators here say there are Nationalists (who are bad Ukrainians) and there are pro-Russia forces (and ofcourse they are not any way Nationalists).
All that garbage that has occurred during history, still the fact remains – Ukraine and modern Russia are so mixed (i mean where did Jaroslav the Wise live?). Get over the shit and focus on what you have common. If this blog is about being pro Russia – admit the fact it has always involved lot of different ethnic groups.
Its always most sad to see brother hating brother.
