Dear friends,
I have absolutely no idea what happened recently, but I am getting comments and emails form many of you saying that their comments had been “censored”. Guys, I did not censor any comments or, much less so, ban anybody (well, I did trash a few comments, but they were either totally insulting and rude, or spam; I mean no “normal” comment was trashed)
Blogger is clearly doing something weird again, that’s all. I took a look at the Google Apps Dashboard (see for yourself here: http://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en) and it reports nothing. So maybe it is a local problem to some geographical area were all the “censored” comments came from? I have no idea. But here is my request to all of you:
1) Please do not immediately assume that your comment has been “censored” or that you have been “banned”.
2) If a comment you posted does not appear within at the most 24 hours, just resubmit and email me.
3) On the new blog server the moderation policy will be both crystal clear and very simple. So wait just a little more.
Speaking of which,
I was hoping to have the new server up by today, but it might take a few more days. Please remember that the 3 IT specialists helping me are not getting paid a single penny and that they do that on whatever time they have left after work, family life, and personal “meatspace” obligations. I think that you will all like the result very much, but we all have to be patient. God willing, there is no much left to wait.
Kind regards to all,
The Saker
Entirely probable that Google which is Establishment and inside government by choice and business plan, has allowed hacking of Blogger. Google and YouTube are another travesty of censorship.
But, of course, we all know only the Chinese and Russia are anti-free speech, right? A joke.
Google would do anything to protect the Liberal Cult and its hypocritical ideology.
Google News is where you have the most managed news sources in the history of Media.
Back doors for government are its specialty.
Why wouldn’t they allow an attack on Vineyard?

Whatever, it wasn’t a “piece of art” anyway, in summary I stated that Vladimir Putin’s strategy was simply: “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”. I think that having the Atlantist Integrationists semi-exposed and even in the government makes them weaker and useful to resist a colour-coded revolution.

ot: the destruction of our cultures.
Last month I tried to assemble an overview of how our cultures are being destroyed by the Empire of lies. I got some interesting comments (my thanks to the commentators) and I’ve assembled a new summary. Here it is:
Our Western governments are now seriously busy with the destruction of our cultures. Here are some major threads:
1. The destruction of the family structure which is basic to all societies:
– destruction of the motivation of women (the family is enslavement of women)
– destruction of the relationship men/women (homos are good, family is bad)
– destabilization of children (gender theories)
As the family is the main teaching ground for human relations this results in an spiritually empty, demotivated and hopeless society. An additional demographic consequence is an important drop in the number of our children (~50%)
2. Cultural destruction (destruction of our values/traditions)
-destruction of traditional male values: performance, strength, courage/endurance and resistance to violence/adversity replaced by „sensitive“, „non-violent“, wants „to live“ (i.e. to have pleasure) – in one word feminisation.
– Destruction of the work ethic: well-done work is not a pride/satisfaction/good result for many stakeholders anymore, it’s exploitation – even if the boss is human and well-meaning.
– Destruction of the respect for the elderly – because they are the main source of human intelligence/common sense
– Destruction/Elimination of religions – because they are trying to protect traditional values
– Destruction of local languages/ways of thinking/local values/literary traditions etc by massive and forced immigration of totally incompatible people.
The endresult is an atomized society (everybody is alone) with no values except money which means that our youth (who needs some hope and some vision) is drifting aimlessly and hopelessly.

Agree with you that we are witnessing decomposition of our cultures, I’d rather say our sosieties, but wouldn’t you consider religions are playing biased role in the process?
I’d like to recommend that your new board disallow anonymous posts and require some kind of registration. A nickname doesn’t tell anything but helps identify and distinguish between participants. Also maybe such approach will speed up the opinion exchange because it’s a bit weird to wait several hours until one’s post becomes visible. (And often someone else has already written the same.)
From the numerous double posts I would suggest that most complaints are from people posting their comment, and upon not seeing it appear immedieately, jump to the conclusion thtat there must be censorship @ work. Either you have patience to wait for the comment to be approved, or a conspirational miond wehere nothing happens accidentally, and everything is part of a big conspiracy. Yoe see, that’s exactly what some of these folks are accusing their opponents of.
It will be such a releaf to say goodbye to crappy blogger with its controls and captchas and awkeardness, and use wordpress.

The nation state is, always was, and always will be the enemy of empire. Hence the genocidal policies of the Soviet Union, the Nazis and Now the Global Imperialists, the NeoCon drivers of the New World Order.
Hence also the hatred of Putin and Putin’s Russia. It is the great obstacle to be cleared away before what is seen as the final obstacle, China, can be destroyed.
I comment on this at slightly greater length at the link below, with particular reference to the genocide of the English by a combination of mass immigration and government directed sex education to promote all forms of non-reproductive sex:

Dutch,
You’re analysis brilliant. You’re dead on. Turkey does what it wants. And they’re the ones who were behind the chemical weapon attacks. There is actually compelling evidence for that just as there is evidence that “Ukraine” was responsible for the downing of the airliner yet the MSM formula remains the same. 1.) Make bold accusations. 2.) Threaten and/or punish the designated culprit. 3.) Quiet…investigation…quiet shhhh. 4.) Inconclusive results 5.) Bring it up again, allude to it as though it were established fact that the designated culprit is the guilty party.
They have done this with Russia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya etc. Meanwhile Turkey has been busy recreating the Ottoman Empire. Generally speaking, NATO uses member countries to its advantage but I think with Turkey it’s the other way around.

Yes – I believe both aspects are there – religions when given much power go crazy too, and when whittled down to human size become positive.

My primary aim was to outline the different methods of attack on our nation-states. But I agree with the historical view of your blog:
-Nation states are the building blocks of humanity and are attacked by all hegemons
-Some hegemons (Nazis, Soviets, Mongols) wanted to remodel nation-states in their own image. But the AZ empire aims to destroy the nation-states. Another genocidal hegemon is China which in its part of the world destroys the conquered peoples (“minorities”) too.

I read your piece with great interest about Turkey marching into Syria, but even though the Turks now have the legal authorization to do it with Erdogan’s party controlling the Parliament I cannot see much more than a half-hearted campaign, for a variety of reasons:
1) Erdogan has been trying to play both sides of the Israel-Iran fence for some time, what with the Marmara humanitarian aid ship and his cronies very lucrative middleman trade with Iran and India of gold for oil. The Empire naturally did not like Erdogan evading the Iran sanctions and consequently began to withdraw ‘hot money’ from the Turkish banks, but the Gulf Cooperation Council countries led by the Qataris and Saudis have propped Turkey’s banks up as the arch-Zionist Spengler of the Asia Times writes.
2) Having supported numerous armed factions in Syria seeking Assad’s overthrow before playing footsie with ISIS, Turkey is now embarrassed by its NATO allies into taking action. But I predict Turkey’s offensive will prove half-hearted, because the Turkish generals know damn well the US is not seriously bombing ISIS but is only doing so for show, still hoping that ISIS and the FSA can somehow finally march on Damascus when the current crop of ISIS/ISIL leaders are deposed or dead. In other words, the Turkish army war gamers know very well that while they can indeed defeat the Syrian Arab Army, it would be very bloody, not an easy blitzkrieg victory, and that US/UK airpower would not blast a path for them to Damascus barring some spectacular false flag that can be conveniently blamed on Assad. Given how many holes there were in the East Gouta false flag story — whether it was a rogue launch by someone in Assad’s inner circle entrusted with the chemical weapons or most likely, a Prince Bandar sarin gas special — arranging another big false flag terror attack to link it to Assad and above all TO MAKE IT CONVINCING when the alternative media has been warning about false flags for years is not so easy.
3) Neither will it be easy for the Turks should they choose to march on Damascus in the face of fierce Syrian Arab Army resistance. Again, Erdogan is a wily operator. He knows that the ‘Empire’ has allied with him to topple Assad, but could just as easily start a REAL COLORED REVOLUTION in Instanbul where the population is majority secularist against him, for reason no. 1 and because of his Islamist leanings. The PERFECT pretext for a ‘Constantinople Colored Revolution’ would be hundreds or thousands of body bags coming back from the Turkish Army fighting the SAA.
Therefore, Erdogan will do exactly what the US is doing: bomb ISIS, but put minimal boots on the ground and hope Assad will make the mistake of directly attacking the Turkish forces rather than ordering his troops to avoid contact if at all possible. The Turkish army certainly has no loathing for the SAA, being historically secularist themselves, so I would expect more ‘deep state vs. Erdogan’ tensions to cause the Turkish Army to drag their feet even if ordered to create an incident with the SAA in order to rationalize more attacks. Remember the tape where the Turkish intel chief and generals got caught discussing a blatant false flag whereby Turkish special forces would pretend to be Syrian troops and attack their own base at a shrine inside Syria? That cat is already out of the bag and therefore I don’t think the trick can work. Ergo, Erdogan will launch a half-hearted offensive against both ISIS/ISIL and avoid anything more than symbolic attacks on Assad. The ‘Anglo-Zionists’ will once again feel betrayed by Erdogan whose economy is already dependent on Russia for any hope of growth, particularly in the agriculture and tourism sectors, and therefore will accelerate their plans with the secularists to overthrow Erdogan, resulting in a more brutal crackdown crushing the Constantinople Spring this winter before it can even get off the ground.
Nah. They’re going after Assad.
Baboo here,
Saker, IMHO, you shouldn’t take the prima donnas so seriously. They don’t know to post a comment so they start whining. Drama qwueens. Boo fucking hoo.
It’s sad that in this day and age the US and other Western powers have chosen to side with murderous fascistic terror in a stupid attempt to maintain control and power. It’s like the gangster who just cannot accept that he has control over a piece of territory. He just has to have more and more. Ultimately he loses it all and ends up in a back alley with a bullet in his head.
Another one bites the dust.
“WASHINGTON, October 3 (RIA Novosti) – US State Department indicated that Ukrainian authorities will lead the investigation into the mass graves discovery in Eastern Ukraine.
State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki mentioned that the “investigation will be held under authorities of Ukrainian government”.”
The enquiry made by the main suspect, where there are international observers? And please, on what pretence does the State Department officially decides alone on Ukrainian matters?
If this piece of new is true this is a whole and sufficient confession that :
1) the Ukies murdered all the people who will be found in mass graves, although we may never know exactly who did what;
2) Washington can be held as totally responsible for whatever is committed in Ukraine.
May I add that, in addition to the evident destruction of proofs on a forensic point of view, it is unacceptable for the surviving relatives of the victims (who happen to be Novorussian soldiers) to let the murderer handle the bodies and do whatever pleases them of them? They can and must require decendy for the corpses of their beloved and Kiev is absolutely unable to grant it.

You’re absolutely on target in everything you wrote.

Assad has several weapons to nullify Turkey. He has his army. He has Hezbollah. He has Iran’s Quds. And he has survived Israel’s threats. He has a very loyal base. He knows that a Syrian car bomb sends a special kind of message. He will use a large bomb to warn Turkey to be very careful.
Turkey understands that they are playing with fire helping the Kurds. They have a huge internal problem with Kurds and a huge Kurdish Iraq border problem and now have huge refugee problem. Turkey may be getting in on the anti-ISIS thing, but they were the conduit for the original arming of ISIS from Benghazi. They got in bed with the U.S. and now woke up covered in fleas.
Actually, Assad will be getting Russian, Chinese and Iranian assistance to keep afloat. The battlefield on the ground, where no one wants to put boots, will soon be populated with artillery from Russia and experts. ISIS will be hit from the air by the coalition and slaughtered on the ground by Assad’s allies. I give ISIS six months. It will not be a three-year war like the West hopes.
Russia needs Syria and China needs Iraq and both need to finish ISIS so the fighters don’t get sent to the Caucasus and Xinjiang to de-stabilize each challenger to the Hegemon. And Iran has everything at stake in both Iraq and Syria. The convergence of national interests are overwhelming. ISIS will be crushed.
Well you’re certainly optimistic. Reminds me of the time Porkyshenko said that the Donbas could be taken in hours (and of course they say it would have been if Russia hadn’t stepped in). Truth is they can’t fight, only drop bombs on civilians, cowardly.
Part I
Turkey vows to fight Islamic State, coalition strikes near border
(Reuters) – Turkey signalled it may send troops into Syria or Iraq and let allies use Turkish bases to fight Islamic State, as coalition jets launched air strikes on Wednesday on insurgents besieging a town on its southern border with Syria.
The government sent a proposal to parliament late on Tuesday which would broaden existing powers and allow Ankara to order military action to “defeat attacks directed towards our country from all terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria”.
The proposal would also mean Turkey, until now reluctant to take a frontline role against Islamic State, could allow foreign forces to use its territory for cross-border incursions.
But President Tayyip Erdogan said the removal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad remained a Turkish priority and stressed Ankara’s fears that U.S.-led air strikes without a broader political strategy would only prolong the instability.
[…]
The United States has been carrying out strikes in Iraq against the militant group since July and in Syria since last week with the help of Arab allies.

Years ago, maybe the early 1990’s, I recall flipping channels and seeing a televangelist, possibly Jack Van Impe, displaying a map depicting a Russian invasion of the ME via Turkey. At the time I could picture no scenario in which this could be possible. Now I can.
With Erdogan openly discussing the removal of Assad while submitting a proposal to the Turkish parliament that would broaden existing powers and allow Ankara to order military action to “defeat attacks directed towards our country from all terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria”, (Anglo) Reuters is pointing to a scenario in which Russia would be forced to choose between abandoning her Syrian ally or going to war with NATO. Russia has warned Turkey not to invade Syria but is arguably powerless to stop it.
The Anglo-Zionists are determined to destroy Russian influence with attention currently focussed on the ME. Control of the Shia corridor will secure Anglo-Zionist power to ‘tax’ Europe and the Gulf in support of US petrodollar hegemony. A Turkish move into Syria will expose Russian weakness unless Putin is prepared to seriously escalate his response. I am not aware of any moves that would put Russian troops directly in the path of the Sabbatean Turkish army.
The alternative is a short, sharp and devastating move into Ukraine. I believe this is the last thing that Putin wants but in the event of a ‘weak’ response in defense of Syria, he may feel compelled. I believe this was the Western strategy in Ukraine from the begining.
Russia is in exactly the position the Anglo-Zionists want, thanks entirely to Iranian cooperation with the West. Many talk about the Russian betrayal of Iran with respect to their failure to deliver S300’s (Russia says delay) but few remember that Russia and Iran were on opposite sides in Bosnia during the 1990’s. Remember the Islamic Republic, with strong Western backing including reams of outraged propaganda courtesy Martin Bell and the BBC, sent mujahadeen fighters to Bosnia against the (weakly) Russian backed Serbs. Also recall that in the 1990’s Iranian ‘negotiator’ Hassan Rouhani was a key go between for his country in dealings with Washington. Rouhani’s secret relationship with NEOCONS, dating back to the time of Iran Contra, has never gone sour. The faction represented by Rouhani and Rafsanjani have even go so far as to run Edward Bernays inspired Happy Dance psyops against the unpopular clerical establishment. This is an undeniable marker of Anglo-Zionist/Iran cooperation against Russian interests in the ME. Hassan Nasrallah is already losing sleep and so is Bashar Assad.
Part II
The problem for Russia and more specifically Putin is he has always wanted Ukranians to settle their internal matters on their own while maintaining Russian influence/control. Whether it was the removal of Strelkov at the behest of oligarch Rinat Akhmetov or any number of similar examples, Putin has always sought to build an internal consensus within Ukraine that puts it firmly in the Russian camp. Anything less is an absolute loss for Russia.
As an aside on Strelkov, it seems his choice to lead the Novorussian resistance was perfect. He brilliantly drew in Ukie forces into multiple cauldrons with his online psychological operations convincing the junta that a collapse of the Resistance was inevitable. In hindsight it was always clear that Strelkov’s dreamy view of history represented no real constituency from within Ukraine. He looked weak and slightly confused from the begining. Almost no one would miss Strelkov if he were eventually removed after completing his mission. I don’t believe Strelkov is as much of a foolish romantic as we imagine him to be. He seems more likely to be a good soldier following brilliantly conceived orders although I’ll admit my knowledge is too fragmentary to make a reliable judgement.
The current Russian strategy seems to be predicated on the creation of a binational state linking Novorussia to Banderastan, thus permitting Russia to retain influence and control over Ukraine. The agreement in Minsk and everything that has followed can be seen in this light. Putin is wooing Poroshenko and other former friends of Viktor Yanukovych in an effort to bring this about. The Anglo-Zionist response was a glorious reception for Poroshenko in Washington. This suggests they believe Putin may be in a position to sway Poroshenko and his friendly greeting in Minsk suggests he believes exactly the same. Pravy Sektor and Kolomoisky are unimpressed with the Chocolate King for an obvious reason.
If Putin does move into Ukraine, he will have to clean out the fascists. Former allies of Yanukovych might be eager to see it happen while others would be happy to see Kolomoisky take a fall. Pravy Sektor could help by launching a coup against Poroshenko thus justifying a Russian move to counter. The fascist goons have promised to march on Kiev before but have so far been held at bay.
Joaquin Flores is a smart guy. I have listened to this two hour interview from September 15 several times (posted and reposted by Sakerites). If you haven’t already I recommend you listen to the two hour podcast yourself.
Pravy Sektor Coup as ISIS Scenario: NATO to Feign a ‘Unilateral’ Alliance With Russia
http://syncreticstudies.com/2014/09/15/pravy-sektor-coup-as-isis-scenario-nato-to-feign-a-unilaterial-alliance-with-russia/
Memebers of Club Cahoots will have to admit that Putin looks set to lose either Syria, Ukraine or both. He will have to make a choice in the event of a Turkish move and I don’t have much confidence he can pull another rabbit out of his hat to save Assad. Russia is in no position to take on NATO by itself.
Until now Erdogan has hesitated. The entire Turkish flottila episode and a promised visit to Gaza appears to have been created as a ruse meant to enhance his credibility and earn support for redrawing of borders in the Middle East. If he was ever rebelious he has now been brought back in line with promises of a return to Ottoman greatness. The would-be Sultan is a wildcard at the very least.
Part III
If Putin wants to save his position in Syria, he needs to load at least a brigade sized force onto Antonov 225 Mriyas (the big-uns) and put them between Erdogan and Assad or his ME strategy falls apart dooming both Assad and possibly Hezbollah. There is no time to waste unless he has calculated it is not worth the risk of a direct confrontation with NATO. I do not know what I would do in his position. Perhaps he could make such a move while loudly proclaiming that Russia is moving into Syria to join the coalition against ISIS. The statements of Lavrov would make this pivot a difficult one to accomplish but I doubt the Anglo-Zionists could stop it directly. I highly doubt Turkey would give overflight permission for a fleet of fully loaded Russian Cossacks (NATO codename for AN 225’s) so any such an operation would be a dangerous and expensive logistical nightmare. Unless Russia has a well hidden force somewhere near Tartus I don’t see such a risky option as viable or likely but it’s not inconceivable. If the Turkey moves on the pretext of protecting the Tomb of Suleiman Shah, it would be good if Russian force were taking up positions nearby to discourage further encroachments.
From the begining Putin has outwitted his opponents but the strategy has always been predicated on not moving too agressively. At some point NATO and the Anglo-Zionists have always had the option of bringing together their overwhelming expeditionary power and forcing a confrontation. Putin may still have an opportunity to foil them and I have no doubt he has the balls but the window of opportunity, if indeed once exists, is rapidly closing. Russia needs many more years to fully recover her strength but the long term calculation is still in her favour. A Russian failure to move directly in support of Assad will be seen by the world as a definitive example of weakness. The alternative, accepting the loss of influence in Syria while possibly taking a run at Ukraine is also not an ideal situation but increasingly appears the best way to save Russian prestige if not to protect her most vital interests in Ukraine.

“The nation state is, always was, and always will be the enemy of empire. Hence the genocidal policies of the Soviet Union …”
Other than maybe the removal of hostile populations during WW2 (Chechens, Crimean Tatars, etc.), who had collaborated with the Nazis, I’m not aware of any genocidal policies of the Soviet Union. The Ukrainians falsely claim the great famine of 1932-33 was directed against them, but since it was equally devastating to the Russian black-earth region, the Kuban, and Kazakhstan, that is clearly a lie. (Propagated, moreover, by western Ukrainians, who weren’t part of the Soviet Union at the time.) I suppose one could speak metaphorically of genocide against the kulaks, or the victims of 1937, but that wouldn’t be the usual meaning of the term.
Please correct me if I’ve forgotten something.
I Just let that part of the brain run with the paranoia for a little while and then put it back at the first chance. I just don’t let it DO anything. I have been through this countless times and still find myself entertaining in the chicken with the head cut off mode.

I concur with your assessment. Any military ‘victory’ of Erdogan that results in driving on Damascus and overthrowing Assad would be Pyrrhic.
Even with the anger among Islamist Turks over the suffering of the Syrian population that has been blamed on Assad in pro-government Turkish media, Erdogan has neither the economic nor the political power base to press the attack too hard. And as you said, while Russia needs Turkish fruits and vegetables this winter the Russians have plenty of cards to play to prevent the Turks from getting too serious.
For one, we read this week that Gazprom has cut gas shipments to Slovakia, Poland and Hungary to prevent reverse flows (especially the former two) to Ukraine. But it has increased gas flows to Turkey which suggests that the Turks can make more money on the transit fees with the Russian gas reaching customers in the Balkans via Thrace and southeastern EU states that will be less inclined or not logistically capable of doing reverse flow to Ukraine — Italy for example, which is connected to southern Bavaria and Austria by gas pipes. In other words, Gazprom and Putin are trying to woo Turkey while hurting Ukraine and the EU’s reverse flow scam.
For another point, Erdogan has to know that despite his playing ball on supporting ISIS/ISIL and the FSA before them, the AZ Empire can turn on him at any time and he already has many enemies among the neocons and neoliberals who call his regime illiberal if not authoritarian Islamist.
Unless he were being blackmailed with death or a fate near it I cannot believe Erdogan would be so reckless and foolish as to attack the SAA head on and trust that the US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps with the French and Brits could be trusted to blast the Syrian military on his behalf. Erdogan of all people knows how half-hearted and weak the Franco-American and weak Brit bombing campaign against ISIS has been. Unless the US military is hitting Assad military targets which we would probably know about by now from several US jets shot down by Assad’s Russian-supplied SAMs. I’m sure the Chinese also have plenty of anti-tank missiles they could supply the Syrians with via Iran to test out against Erdogan’s tanks. Which is another reason Erdogan won’t go — hundreds or thousands of dead Turkish soldiers killed fighting SAA is the perfect pretext for the AZ PTB to organize a ‘Colored Revolution’ against Erdogan and his political party in secular, Euro-leaning Instanbul if not Ankara.
@ Wherewolf:
“A Turkish move into Syria will expose Russian weakness unless Putin is prepared to seriously escalate his response.” I don’t think we’ll see Russian troops on the ground in Syria, but I do think Putin will have to crank up the arms supply to Assad even further. From the same factories that make Koronets, S-300s, Uragans and other lethal systems that will supply the NAF to blunt any NATO-backed Ukie spring offensive, BTW.
Erdogan has to realize the further his troops get from the Turkish border and the more aggressively they go after the SAA the higher casualties will get. I cannot believe he is so stupid as to trust the New World Order that he has cooperated with in a failed attempt to topple Assad by proxy war in doing their dirty work against Damascus. Especially when plenty of neocons and neolibs would love to overthrow Erdogan in a Maidan-style coup in Istanbul backed by the secularists in the Turkish army Erdogan has been abusing and purging for years!
One last thought for this thread Wherewolf: I wonder if the Chinese have been provoked sufficiently by Uncle Sam’s blatant support for revolution in Hong Kong to send a message by sailing their best warships to Tartus and presenting a more formidable Russo-Chinese armada there than was in place in August 2013? That would certainly act as a deterrent against Turkish bombing and cruise missile strikes on Assad’s Allawite and Christian coastal heartland of support and Damascus itself.

Militia Eugene Reports from the frontline:
“And Yes, the airport is taken. The glory of the living and eternal memory remaining there forever. Sleep well, brothers”
Recall that the battle for the airport lasted 5 months. In the last days of detachment DND most actively stormed the building and the support of the Ukrainian troops.
From terminal to terminal fighters reconnaissance DND moved to the bunker, where the main forces of the occupying troops.
Best report that in the old terminal at Donetsk airport collapsed the ceiling of the 3rd floor – many punishers were buried alive under the ruins.
At the same time, journalists Novorossia reported that in the old terminal collapsed overlap:
“Best tell that in the old terminal at Donetsk airport collapsed the ceiling of the 3rd floor – many punishers were buried alive under the ruins. The militias continue to sweep the remaining non-exempt areas of the airport.”
4 hours ago a well-known volunteer novel Donic helping the armed forces of Ukraine, said:
“Another wave of panic through the airport. Forced to write briefly on the road. Airport ours. 2nd floor collapsed, but the guys kept. The attack is repulsed.
Sands heavily shelled grad”.

wow, American Kulak, Larchmonter and Where-Wolf in a row. That was a lot of reading. Makes me wish I were a military person, because I only get the tactical stuff second hand from those who know about boots and tanks and such ;)
I may have mis-read you Wolf, but if you’re suggesting Putin might do something in Ukraine from being foiled in Syria, I can’t see any such linkage. Apologies if I’m misunderstanding your point.
Ziad Fadel says that Russia and China are prepared to go the distance in Syria if they have to. That’s why Russia keeps warning everyone not to push it. I’ve learned enough from Saker and watching events to know that Russia doesn’t waste one word on bluffing., Faking the opponent out, sure, but ultimate bluff, no.
So I believe that Russia will make its stand in Syria, if that’s where providence places its feet to make that stand. Meanwhile everything that can be done to avoid this is being done.
Again, I’m not military, which is a shame, because I get the strong impression that Russia has the technology already to clear the skies of NATO if it chooses to empower Syria to do so. If this is in fact the case, then even those western fools must surely fear to tread there. Sorry to be so inexpert, but if this tactical superiority is true, then the strategic implications are obvious, and match what I just wrote.
I should probably not even speak here, but I was drawn to counter the thought that Russia loses either Syria or Ukraine, but can’t win both. I just don’t see this at all in the fundamentals.
If I’ve failed to read anyone well enough, ignore me.

“Other than maybe the removal of hostile populations during WW2 (Chechens, Crimean Tatars, etc.), who had collaborated with the Nazis, I’m not aware of any genocidal policies of the Soviet Union….
Please correct me if I’ve forgotten something.
Whether you’ve forgotten or simply never knew, I cannot say, but you seem to be unaware of something like eight million deportations and force migrations beside those you mention.
Lots of disinformation to keep people docile. After all if prices are low and markets high, most people dont think there is anything wrong. But we know there are no jobs and the banks are propped up. Wait until they start taking away peoples savings to support the banks. This law was passed all over the world after Greece and Cyprus. But Gold or real estate! Cash in any form will be worthless to you..
Golden Rule Why Beijing Is Buying By Alan Greenspan
A gold bull until he became the FED chairman then a Gold basher.. Now sorta wishy washy..
If China were to convert a relatively modest part of its $4 trillion foreign exchange reserves into gold, the country’s currency could take on unexpected strength in today’s international financial system. It would be a gamble, of course, for China to use part of its reserves to buy enough gold bullion to displace the United States from its position as the world’s largest holder of monetary gold. (As of spring 2014, U.S. holdings amounted to $328 billion.) But the penalty for being wrong, in terms of lost interest and the cost of storage, would be modest. For the rest of the world, gold prices would certainly rise, but only during the period of accumulation. They would likely fall back once China reached its goal.

Why China thinks gold is the buy of the century (. . . In one easy lesson*)
These numbers are daunting. And for those unfamiliar with the massive scope of the monetary mess confronting the world’s central banks, they might appear unbelievable. At the core, though, the yawning chasm between official sector gold and China’s foreign exchange reserves suggests a serious undervaluation of gold at current prices. This imbalance is not likely to be addressed through mine production anytime soon, nor is it likely to be addressed by some realignment of international gold reserves, as some have suggested. Instead, the most likely outcome will be a significant adjustment in gold’s market price. It could come gradually or in fits and starts, or even all at once. Somehow though, sometime down the road, the market will address the imbalance. It always does. In fact, as some have suggested, China–through its staunch advocacy of gold–might already be in the process of forcing the issue.

China Aims For Official Gold Reserves At 8500t
reserves, more than the US, according to Song Xin, President of the China Gold Association, General Manager of the China National Gold Group Corporation and Party Secretary. He wrote this in an opinion editorial published on Sina Finance July 30, 2014. Gold is money par excellence in all circumstances and will help support the renminbi to become an international currency as “gold forms the very material basis for modern fiat currencies”, Song notes. In the short term the Chinese will not back the renminbi with gold (establish a fixed renminbi price for gold), but support the renminbi with an appropriate amount of gold in reserve to allot credibility and manage its value – in my humble opinion.

And how nice of the telegraph to put it all on the heads of the emerging markets instead of the US/UK financial systems. So they are already trying to frame the victims as the pasty and it must soon be coming or why already start with the short memories of the sheep.

Hope the NAF troops can bring up some incendiary rounds and burn them out of those Soviet bunkers that surely have ventilation shafts. It’s still hard for me to understand: A) if Ukies are taking GRAD and arty how they still have enough guns to shell the city with even at close range considering that the counterbattery fire has probably killed a lot of their gunners B) why the Ukies are so determined to die for this airport when they could’ve surrendered a long time ago like they did to the NAF earlier. Right Sector fanatics threatening to shoot deserters? Polish mercs or army who are under strict orders not to be found out?
Last post for the night in this thread — this Russian TV report mentions Ukie artillery but it seems wildly inaccurate and mostly outbound trying to hit the guns around the airport perimeter that are hitting them, thereby allowing the NAF infantry to get close enough (300 meters) for accurate RPGs and mortar fire. The mark of desperate, terrified Ukies shooting wildly and moving what few guns they have left on the surface (seems like they’ve probably been pulling them out of their hidey hole Soviet bunkers underneath the main terminal along with rounds) frequently to avoid lethal counterbattery, GRAD or 1 km out sniper fire from across the runway/taxiway area.

@American Kulak
Yes yes yes.
China is slient. They are in a strong position to back Russia and put the threat to Syria to a permanent end. They could do it today.
I fear Chinese leadership are revealed as co conspirators with the West and Iran. Let me explain.
The umbrella revolution in Hong Kong was an easily predictable and easily stopable colour revolution-type operation which somehow the disciplined Chinese security state apparatus could not stop, no less in Hong Kong. The Chinese are not fools and they know everything that happens in HK.
The immediately stupid and provocative response of the police could not have happened by accident. My attention has been elsewhere but I saw a headline today reporting a death. The bungling only continues because it is meant to continue.
To the great benefit of the Chinese leadership, they appear to be caught off guard. I believe this was calculated to give China an excuse not to intervene while loudly and proudly declaring Hong Kong is an internal Chinese affair. With the line nicely drawn China has a built in excuse to avoid external entanglements.
At the same time Alibaba just got a 25 billion dollar payment and a big stake in the matrix — while Jack Ma is feted by the American media including 60 minutes. He can enter the Pantheon set astride Ray Kurzweil and Bill Gates. This is yet another really big shoo offered as a carrot and meant to inhabit the minds of Chinese leadership reminding them they stand to inherit the world if they only play nice and go along with Uncle Sam and his magical greenback machine.
I got this sick feeling as soon as I heard Iran and the US were working together to replace Maliki. China already stands to inherit a sizeable chunk of everything. The hard power USA is offering China continued easy access that the to markets and resources. Everywhere they are moving to swallow up assets and they have trillions in USD denominated assets already. For their corrupt and pragmatic leadership, nothing trumps stability and profit. I’m also afraid they have demonstrated only antipathy towards Russian positions except for signing some (disappointing) agreements in energy and finance.
As I said again yesterday, this is Orwell’s tripartite world. If all these parties have conspired against Russia, or outwitted Putin, maybe most of all to exercise a lever over the price of Russian energy and other resources, then Russia will have no choice but to recognize the validity of their own rhetoric and stomp on the junta. After that it’s time to look out for number one I’m afraid.
Oceania and Eastasia have formed an alliance against EU-rasia while most of the later has its head up its ass.
And more to the point, it’s time for Eurasians and Eurasianists to get their act together with a Budapest pact or something similar uniting everyone from Siberia to Iberia.
Will Germany ever break the Anglo spell?
@ NotSoFast said… ot: the destruction of our cultures.
Who is this “our” you talk about? America and other Western war criminal nations?
If European-American “culture” is being destroyed, GOOD RIDDANCE.
Western civilization has *always* been a sociopathic civilization–one that’s based on the genocidal extermination of non-Western peoples and the ruthless exploitation of their labor and resources.
Worst yet, your precious Euro-American culture disguises its sociopathic instincts behind the greatest of lies: Christianity and Western liberal democracy.
The American Hegemon in particular is a shining example of this pathological civilization.
Similar to its close cousins of Canada, Australia, Britain, and New Zealand, the United States is a White colonizer empire founded upon the enslavement, exploitation, or genocide of non-White people like Native Indians, Blacks, Hawaiians, Asians, and Latinos.
That is how Whites colonized and stole the entire North American continent, possessed by a fundamentalist delusion that they had a God-given “Manifest Destiny” to occupy this land and bring Christianity to the “savage native.”
Today, America and other Western democracies have ambitions to subjugate the entire planet, possessed by the equally fundamentalist delusion that they are crusaders for liberty, democracy, human rights, and civilization in every corner of the globe.
If you really want to know what Euro-American culture is about, look at how America honors murderers like Christopher Columbus, slaveowners like George Washington, and ethnic cleansers like Thomas Jefferson as HEROES no less.
Hell, it’s the West that spawned the most bloodstained ideologies in history such as Nazism, Fascism, Communism, Capitalism, and Nationalism—and then aggressively exported these warped ideologies to the rest of the world under the banner of promoting universal (read: Western) values.
That’s essence of the Euro-American civilization that you soil yourself in angst about.
A few final thoughts.
I agree that Turkey is still a swing state. Erdogan is unpredictable but he still faces an enormous apparatus tied directly to NATO and Israel. There is some evidence he is struggling to pull Turkey into the Eurasian orbit.
Japan is rarely mentioned but it could also be a future swing state although I see no prospect for it now. It is conceivable that at some point in the future Japan could choose to be a valued partner of Russia and Europe instead of a weak and militarized satrapy of the West. The rivalry with China is something Russia should exploit.
India also has reason to fear an alliance of Oceania and China. The recent rapproachment notwithstanding, they would be a valued parter of Eurasia but always a junior parter relative to China. Japan and India also have a good relationship between themselves.
And of course there is Brazil, which the Anglo-Zionists are working hard to remove from contention. If Dilma Rousseff wins re election, something which seems increasingly likely all things being equal with regards to the polls, then she would have every reason to follow more closely in the fottsteps of her predecessor and put Brazil on the world stage as a great power set astride Russia, the EU, India, Japan and so on.
Anyone who believes a one world order will be good is a fool. This is a recipe for class based slavery on a global level. I understand the fear of a return to a Cold War standoff but I’m increasingly convinced this is the only way to go if we are to have a voice against our rulers. The Soviet Union failed because it incoherently represented the materialistic values of the West. All this has changed since the ouster of the Bolsheviks and the return of Russia to her historical and spiritual roots.
Unlike the Soviet Union, Russia can claim a coherent narrative, representing large a swath of humanity. Russia can specifically offer Europe an alliance that helps to renew an aging and despiritualized continent that is now unarguably the victim of an attempt to overwhelm the indigenous European population. The Anglo-Zionists have always wanted to break up local and national allegiances and they’re not far from accomplishing their goal.
I don’t advocate for a Eurocentric view of anything but I do think local people always have a right to defend themselves from intentionally destructive immigration policies designed to make them pliant and easy to control. Large minority populations in Europe will have to be accomodated, people like Alain Soral have pointed this out, but in the event Europe seriously threatens to go with Russia, the Islamic terrorism used against Russia, especially in the Caucuses and Moscow, will be brought to the streets like never before. These guys will make the Red Brigrades look like pansies by comparison. This was likely the strategy from the begining and will continue unopposed unless European citizens take back their governments from Anglo-Zionist control.
@NotSoFast: “The end result is an atomized society (everybody is alone) with no values except money which means that our youth (who needs some hope and some vision) is drifting aimlessly and hopelessly.”
Agree with your observation. You should have also added the ‘why’ part of it – the societies across world in the post-industrial revolution period is led by the global AngloZionist plutocracy and their followers, the local oligarchy who always want to maximize the profit and build wealth by selling anything and everything under the Sun – as the society moves towards atomization so as to find one person-one family everywhere, the revenue goes up and hence profit, as compared to the scenario of one family comprising of 3/4/5/6 persons…

@CanSpeccy: “The nation state is, always was, and always will be the enemy of empire. Hence the genocidal policies of the Soviet Union, the Nazis and Now the Global Imperialists, the NeoCon drivers of the New World Order.
Hence also the hatred of Putin and Putin’s Russia. It is the great obstacle to be cleared away before what is seen as the final obstacle, China, can be destroyed.”
@NotSoFast: “-Nation states are the building blocks of humanity and are attacked by all hegemons
-Some hegemons (Nazis, Soviets, Mongols) wanted to remodel nation-states in their own image. But the AZ empire aims to destroy the nation-states. Another genocidal hegemon is China which in its part of the world destroys the conquered peoples (“minorities”) too.”
Both of you have mixed up lot of things and ended up in confused & wrong statements.
How many countries (among the 196/197 member countries of UNO) can be termed as ‘Nation State’ as on date? Since 5000 BC, human history shows politically sovereign entities that wield ‘power of State’ can be ‘Kingdom’, ‘County’/’Emirate’, ‘Empire’, ‘Nation-State’, ‘City- State’,(if none of the aforementioned) ‘Country’ etc. etc. Which country can be termed as what, will depend on lots of factors, starting from tribal identity, ethnicity, language, culture, history, (and, yes) geography! As of now, all these forms of ‘State’ exist on earth. And, every form of ‘State’ has been/is/will be an enemy of another form of ‘State’, if not openly. Since any form of ‘State’ wants to exercise unbridled unrestrained power and authority, it just can not accept anyone else… Hence the continuous search for a Global-Empire by the AngloZionist Plutocracy.
When Mongols built their empire, there was no concept as ‘Nation-State’- so, no question of converting a Nation-State into its own image can be raised !
Where from you have read ‘genocidal policies’ of Soviet Union, apart from Nazified USA and European academicians’ books on fabricated history & AngloZionist plutocracy-controlled European language media? Soviet rulers were cruel and ferocious, but never genocidal ! had that been the case Soviet Union couldn’t have defeated the genocidal empire of Nazis! If you want to know what is genocidal, please move beyond your western education, and read how the Spannish empire carried out genocide in South & Central American continent, the English empire carried out genocide in North American continent and Australia… If anything, the Russian Tsardom as empire and Soviet Union as a country preserved the entire ethnic diversity within their ‘State’ boundary ! The ‘Ukrainian holodomor’ was not only in ukrainian part of Soviet Union, the famine was everywhere in the Soviet Union as a result of wrong agricultural policy.
Again, where did you read about ‘genocidal hegemon’ China , apart from Nazified USA and European academicians’ books on fabricated history & AngloZionist plutocracy-controlled European language media? The facts say that, while entire Chinese ethnicities are strictly under 1 family- 1 child policy for past over forty years, the minorities have been put under more than 1 child policy – is this what you call as ‘genocide’? And, calling the Tibetans bluff, is something any ‘State’ apparatus will do – what Spain have done with Basque separatists ?? huh …

Well said, Anon. Hope, you have used the term ‘Western civilization’ to depict the west European states that has Christian population attached with ‘Catholic’ and its derivative ‘Protestant’ church.

Sorry, Anon, all ideologies are not bloodstained … some ideologies which are born out of desire to exercise power can be bloodstained, but those ideologies which are ‘anti-thesis’ to the earlier group, are not meant to be bloodstained, even if they are deployed wrongly and by ill-intentioned peoples. If Communism was utilised with mal-intention by Trotsky (originally part of AngloZionist plot to wreck anti-AngloZionist Soviet communist party from within) to create havoc in the peasantry of Eastern part of Soviet Union, and if Stalin used communist party to further his lust of power and control, the ideology is not at fault !

Turkey has been an enthusiastic supporter of the downfall of Assad for years, so why should they carry out an ‘half-hearted military operation’, now that they finally have the green light from a panicking West? The Turkish army is 10 times that of the Syrian army AND they have support of FSA and ISIS, meaning Assad is toast. There will be no ‘hundreds of thousands Turkish body bags’. Turkey will tell the West: first we are going to crush Assad and next pacify Syria (and thus ISIS):
https://deepresource.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/russia-turkey-syria/
And the West will reluctantly agree with ‘ally’ Turkey.

Anonymous 04.16. I agree totally with your description of ‘Western Civilization’ and its hatred and exploitation of, and genocide against, non-Westerners, but do not forget that the rulers of the West also hate and exploit their own people along class lines. Moreover they frequent attempted to obliterate one another, along nationalistic and sectarian lines, and also have waged a continuous war on the natural world, which is right now reaching such a crescendo that, barring a miracle, the planet will soon be rendered uninhabitable for our species. Why do the rulers of the West act like this? Because they are what psychology calls psychopaths. They cannot act any differently, and their removal from power, once and forever, is the absolute requirement if humanity is to exist for more than a few decades more. This is the crucial turning-point in all human history.
NotsoFast, the Chinese exhibit their alleged ‘genocidal’ attitude towards minorities in the strangest fashion, ie by allowing them to ignore the ‘one-child policy’ that has applied to the Han for decades.
The West seems to be on the path towards a single global currency. Seems the value of currencies has nothing to do with anything other than the interests of the countries controlling it. So the value of all other currencies depends on the value the FED places on it rather than on trade and demand. By issuing unlimited amounts of swap deals to the 6 currencies they control the entire world. So the US$ moving up so much means nothing since the euro is artificially controlled as well. So anything priced in any of these currencies also have arbitrary value. No demand or production costs matter as long as the swaps can keep a lid on prices in all currencies. Just another derivative on top of all other derivatives.
The monetary authorities of America, the EU, Great Britain, Japan, Switzerland and Canada agreed to the following: a) to reduce the cost of providing dollar liquidity through currency swaps (linking its calculation to the indices of domestic currency swaps in the US banking system); b) to extend the period of currency swaps to up to three months; c) there will be no limits on the provision of dollar liquidity, the size of currency swaps will be determined by the needs of the corresponding country’s banking system; d) the Federal Reserve, as and when required, will also reserve the right to turn to its central bank partners for foreign currency.
There are signs that the currencies coming off the printing presses of the FRS, the ECB and the other central banks in the ‘big six’ are not different monetary units, but a single currency. After all, if there are stable exchange ratios between the euro, the US dollar, the British pound sterling, the yen, the Swiss franc and the Canadian dollar, then they are no longer different currencies, but different variations of a single global currency.

Supporters Patriarchate Filaret beaten ROC priests and capture temples. A group of 50 people sporting appearance with support of local police made the seizure of power of the Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in the city of Turku in Lviv region of Ukraine. In this case, the priests suffered injuries, the church was closed, parishioners expelled.

Universal Genocide and the New World Order
Thanks for this article, and for quoting the definition of genocide by Raphael Lemkin.
The (recent) destruction of European culture and society began with the decision in the 1970s by England’s political leaders to allow immigration from Asia and Africa, so as to satisfy the British capitalists desire for cheap labour. Dennis Healey was the point man for this. His betrayal of the English people is (of course) not mentioned in the article about him at Wikipedia (not a reliable source).
The Germans did something similar when they recruited Turks as cheap labour (though, from what I’ve seen, the effects of Turkish Gastarbeiter on German society seems less pernicious than the effects of Asian/African immigration on British society).
Also the French, with their mainly Muslim immigrants. ‘Multiculturalism’ is a fraud.
And the reason why so many people from non-Western countries are desperate to immigrate to the US/Europe/Australia is that the international capitalists have exploited and ravaged their societies.

@ Where-Wolf, jumping from one of your ideas to another, I wonder what would think other Asian countries if China chose to back USA : would they not be so frightened at the idea of being offered on a silver tray to a Chinese domination?
Anyway, China knows certainly that whatever the nice words thay can hear today from the US who may well offer them the alliance you suggest, if it weakened too much Russia, they would not be strong enough to resist the Hegemon and would be their next prey, with an intermediate period of very reduced profits as the USA, whose greed has no limit, would demand everything; while they cannot be a prey of Russia and make the best business being their allies, after a period of confrontation.
This, unless they really believe they can overthrow the US by themselves, for instance with their 5th column but I doubt it.

Ah, and for the assimilation between Catholics and Protestants (in another comment), it really means this commenter knows nothing of the history of the Church. Only Catholic kings (Spain and France) gave aboriginals the same status as their own people, forbidding to make slaves; precisely with the religion wars, and the geographical separation, it could not be really enforced and a midway was found in XVIIth Century for France, who was no more able to enforce it – the Protestants were much stronger, the less scruples the richer and stronger… And whose tsars married so many Lutheran “princesses” that it is very hard to know the real religion of most tsars since XVIIth Century? Was it really not a choice?

Why the Middle Class Gets Screwed—My Short Sale Taught Me How the Rich Really Think. Our financial ignorance makes the investor class very happy.
People “incorporate” so they can avoid legal responsibility for individual actions. It works great. You can stiff creditors, declare bankruptcy, pollute daily and raid pensions to enrich individual executives. If it all goes wrong, like it has so often for Donald Trump, you can keep your mansions and individual fortunes. It is no accident that the best-paid CEO in America has never made a dime for the company. If regular Americans acted like corporations and the moneyed class, our country would collapse in a week from systemic theft, corruption and greed.
I called up some shady investment groups around town and questioned them at length. I didn’t end up using them, but they were frank, informative and unashamed.
“Who would pay 11 percent on a home loan?” I asked.
“Rich people,” said “Bill” from the legal loan-sharking company. “The rich have terrible credit.”
Rich people = bad credit: Just let that sink in.
Bill told me in roundabout ways that rich people never pay a bill if there is any way around it. If something goes wrong in an investment or a business, they always preserve their own assets first. We’ve all heard the generalization that they’re lousy tippers.
We pay banks for the privilege of fleecing us, a fact made obvious by the growing slice of corporate profits generated by the financial sector. Employment in the financial sector hovers around 5 percent of the American workforce, while they skim a third of all corporate profits off the top. They create nothing and add nothing, so in essence, a massive chunk of American profit is made up of handling fees.
I do have the start of a solution, and it starts with America taking a hard look at itself. As a people, we suck at self-examination, but if we can manage it let’s ask: Why does society exist? Does every human live with the sole purpose of enriching the smallest sliver of the species? Do we consider rich people better than the rest of us? Or, should we insteadattempt to bring the greatest good to the greatest number of people, while still promoting innovation and competition?
I entered the shark-infested waters of high finance with a short sale. It was the worst ethical decision, but finest, most profitable business moment, of my adult life. It was an informative, even transformative, experience. People are too hesitant to talk about such dealings, especially because most people make shitty financial decisions (like me), but this sheepishness perpetuates systemic financial illiteracy.

All these nations are nothing more than European colonial/settler nations based on Western extermination of the local Indiginous population (Native Indians, Aborginals, Maori); the destruction of their culture and way of life; the theft and current occupation of their lands.
I am sure that you would support the deportation of Europeon-descended people back to Europe where they and their ancestors immigrated from–if you are not a Eurocentrist as you insist.
After all, Europeans are the TRUE illegal immigrants and indeed are illegal invaders throughout the Western Hemisphere and much of the world.
After ties between Russia and India deteriorated during the Boris Yeltsin. Putin has an overwhelmingly positive image in India, despite the fact that Indian daily newspapers rarely publish articles about Russia from non-Western sources. India’s Internet generation, which sees the Russian President as a hero and a symbol of power.
One has to wonder whether Putin’s delegation will served a multi-course Tamil lunch or dinner in a venue overlooking the Indian Ocean, the way Xi Jingping was treated to a Gujarati feast in Ahmedabad. (Few people really know whether the Chinese delegation enjoyed the sweetness of Gujarati cuisine).
Putin should use this trip as a PR exercise and find a way to engage the youth of the country, who seem to have nothing but adulation for him.

Does the Russian Government need to worry about the just-concluded visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the United States?
The Russian press also fervently responded to the news that Russia ceded its place to the US as the main arms supplier to India. In response to the development of Indo-US military cooperation, some hotheads suggested “compensating for their losses in India through the traditional American weapons market,” including Pakistan.
Reacting with bitterness to any project agreed on by India and the United States would not only be a waste of time and resources for Russia, but it also the best way to ruin relations with India. Any attempts to take revenge on India for a particular contract they have with the United States would cause even greater harm to Russian-Indian relations. Recent history has shown that in the power structures of Russia there are those who, in response to a loss on the Indian market, have seriously considered the possibility of folding or freezing cooperation with India in some areas and increased efforts in the Pakistani direction.
One of the greatest strengths of Indo-US relations are the strong ties between the people of the two countries. To hold meetings on the streets of Moscow with the Prime Minister of India, similar to the ones that have taken place in New York or Washington, would be very difficult. Compared to the United States,
Even in those niches in the Indian market, where Russia today feels quite confident, tomorrow it may begin to lose contract after contract. The main reason would be not because of scheming by third parties but the politics of India itself. The September 25 launch by Narendra Modi of the “Make in India” global initiative is not just another campaign. It is a national strategy, which for many years will determine the development of India’s trade and economic relations with other countries. As part of this strategy, India will use these connections for the development of technologies and liberation from the need to import products. Moreover, India is committed to becoming a competitive exporter. To maintain or increase its level of cooperation with India, Russia cannot be limited to those niches where it now holds a strong position and to the technologies that form the basis of the Russian-Indian cooperation in the civil and military sectors.

@Straight-Bat
“You should have also added the ‘why’ part of it – the societies across world in the post-industrial revolution period is led by the global AngloZionist plutocracy and their followers, the local oligarchy who always want to maximize the profit and build wealth by selling anything and everything under the Sun – as the society moves towards atomization so as to find one person-one family everywhere, the revenue goes up and hence profit, as compared to the scenario of one family comprising of 3/4/5/6 persons…”
This is certainly a secondary result too but I feel that the main intended result of the AZ machine is a physical destruction (culling) of the western populations – the family/cultural destruction is only a means to render our societies helpless (the males who are the last-resort defenders of society are alone/isolated and have been brainwashed into submission by our “educational system” + our children will soon be a minority in their own countries)
The inevitable in Hong Kong.
The students made a strategic mistake protesting in Mong Kok. That section of Hong Kong is working people, not rich bankers and financial folks like Central. They are tasting ‘scuffles’ from the working class and small business owners.
The next stage will be some ‘muscle’ lent by the Triads in Kowloon, around the corner from these scuffles.
The damage done already to Hong Kong is enormous. One estimate is in the tens of billions of lost value to stocks and tourism dollars. No one has calculated the losses to small businesses in Mong Kok. Except, the working folks have calculated what they have lost and will lose if this continues.
Ergo, the students will have to go away or get their heads cracked.
The simple rule of rebellion always applies: either you win against the government or you lose. There is no ‘deal’ or ‘solution’. There is no middle ground.
The protests were set up to embarrass Beijing, to show President Xi that the US can cause trouble. When he and Obama meet, Xi will set the Fraud straight. It won’t get reported but it will be very tough talk and you will be able to read Obama’s body language afterward. He will look like he did after Putin whipped him.
China, like Russia, is not going to take US crap any more.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi with Kerry the other day laid it out in no uncertain terms that China will put up with no foreign interference in internal matters.
Prior, the head of the Chinese military came to Washington to tell the US that China is not going to be bullied out of the Pacific or South China Sea or East China Sea. They are not intimidated by US armed forces.
Hong Kong is the first big show. Next will be Taiwan. The US sees that as slipping away. Xi has stated over and over that he wants it settled soon. The US will soon generate a “democratic” protest there. Lots of unemployed students to use.
Cross-straits will be a term you will soon hear a lot of.

“the Chinese exhibit their alleged ‘genocidal’ attitude towards minorities in the strangest fashion, ie by allowing them to ignore the ‘one-child policy’ that has applied to the Han for decades.”
That is true and I don’t have a provable answer to that (maybe they don’t want their minorities to completely disappear because that would look really bad) but the fact remains that the percentage of minorities in China is ~8% whereas their territories make up more than 50%: if this is not genocide then what is? (you can check that in the Wikipedia under “minorities”)
Good news on the Syria front. Takfiris pulling back to Raqqa. Assad asscendant in Aleppo which protects Damascus from incursion
I know people here aren’t fans of Moon of Alabama but he is about the only place updating this momentum shift. Thus necessitating Turkey pushback

Israel gives cover and opened a corridor for Jabhat al-Nusra along the Golan height demarcation line to reach south Lebanon and the southern approaches to Damascus.
There seems to be no concern in Tel Aviv that one day Jabhat al-Nusra could turn against Israel too. That is somewhat astonishing as both Hizbullah and Hamas started with Israeli support as counterweights to the Palestinian Liberation Organization only to later become the most capable foes of the Israeli occupation forces. One might have thought that Israeli strategists had learned from such foolishness.
But obviously they have not and now their lobby in the United States, here in form of the Washington Institute, supports that dumb policy by calling for further support for the Al-Qaida affiliate:
The risk of empowering an al Qaida affiliate is a small price to pay for Nusra’s contributions on the battlefield, said Jeffrey White, a former senior Defense Intelligence Agency analyst who’s now with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a think tank.
But while the White House Syria policy is foolish enough to continue its feud against the Syrian president Assad it is unlikely to give direct support, silently or openly, to a designated part of Al-Qaeda.
That would be of no help anyway. Jabhat al-Nusra recently lost several hundred of its fighters. These left their positions in Idleb and Aleppo and went to Raqqa in east Syria to join the Islamic State. This again enabled the Syrian army to regain control over several villages east of Damascus and to now close the ring around the insurgency held parts of Aleppo. Cut off from resupply and under constant bombardment those parts will likely fall within a few weeks.

Does anyone know why the Colonel quit updating his site in English. For me, the Vineyard is a daily three course meal and The Colonel is dessert!
@Where-wolf. Excellent in your III part post. Very Sakerian! Sakeresque? Sakerlicious? Thanks!
Anunnaki, you can use internet translation services to read Cassad in Russian on its Russian site. There is far more stuff there which never appears on the English language site.
@Anonymous (02 October, 2014 21:13):
Vladimir Putin’s strategy was simply: “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”.
I think there’s a lot of truth to that, and it reminds me Lyndon Johnson’s old adage: “Better to have the camel inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in.”
I also think that Putin’s approach could be part of a “good cop / bad cop” strategy with the west: even if western rulers decide that Putin is the ‘new Hitler’, they can still deal with an Atlanticist like Medvedev without losing face.
re Can Speccy @03 October, 2014 02:56:
Wikipedia defines genocide as “the systematic destruction of all or a significant part of a racial, ethnic, or national group”. The figures you cite from Wikipedia for deaths from forced migration do not seem to qualify under this definition. Of the 6 million forced migrations the Wikipedia article lists, some 390,00 estimated deaths were of kulaks, out of 1.8 million kulaks deported. Another 1.42 million estimated deaths were of the 3.3 million people repatriated between 1941 and 1949, during or as a result of WW2. Another 1.36 million other people were forced to migrate before WW2, with no estimate of deaths; applying the same 43% of deaths estimated for WW2 repatriations, around 585,000 of these people also died from disease or malnutrition. The 2.4 million estimated deaths from forced migrations, while horrendous, do not meet the dictionary definition of genocide.
No one disputes that the Soviets were a ruthless, determined group. They did not, however, try to systematically destroy “all or a significant part of a racial, ethnic, or national group”. To the contrary, Stalin, first as Commissar of Nationalities, later as General Secretary, established numerous territorial groupings – republics, autonomous republics, autonomous oblasts, national okrugs, and the like for various ethnic groups, some quite obscure, occasionally even having alphabets established for groups without any.
Off topic but a return to the Scottish Referendum. There has be a chorus of allegations that there were substantial irregularities in the poll. This video sums up some of the claims : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_8PnwQJhlU
There are online petitions which have gathered over 100,000 signatures asking for revotes or recounts. Whether there is a case to answer or not only a forensic investigation would reveal, but it does indicate a potential weakness with the existing voting system. I was involved in developing an alternative verifiable electronic system Handivote (http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/handivote/) which was offered to the electoral commission for this vote but, garnered only a polite response from them. However the inability of voters to check that their votes were counted correctly means that trust in the outcome depends on scrupulous following of the legal rules for the chain of custody of the ballot papers. This is where there is a collection of disturbing reports.
@anon 4:16.
My starting assumption is different from yours: for you a nation-state means 100% of the population. I feel that in most cases there are two extremely different groups in a nation-state: the manipulators (let’s call them the 1%) and the manipulated (let’s call them the 99%). Wars, genocide etc are generally driven by the 1%, for power, money, territory etc., while the 99% are more or less willing participants, but are mostly manipulated and unaware of the real reasons of these conflicts. I also agree that up to now, colonization has always lead to genocide – in all continents. But I believe that the times they are a-changing:
– we (the 99%) are on the verge of becoming a planetary population – on a beautiful but fragile blue planet, and so we absolutely need a political system that allows us to live together without suicidal conflicts.
– thanks to the internet we (the 99%) are – for the first time in history – becoming aware of the the 1% and their manipulations – and we do not want to die because of the power-craze of the 1%, nor do we want to go to war against other populations which are not threatening us. We just want to live in peace and create a world where all of us can progress together. And if we manage to survive this dangerous period who knows what will await us in the coming centuries?
P.S: As to your “good riddance” statement take a look at your own culture and ask yourself the following: if you had been in our shoes would you have done differently? I am not religious, but I seem to remember a statement from the Christian Bible which says (more or less): Let him who has never done any wrong throw the first stone.

Wait until they start taking away peoples savings to support the banks. This law was passed all over the world after Greece and Cyprus. But [Buy?] Gold or real estate! Cash in any form will be worthless to you.
Regarding (physical) gold (the best sort of investment in gold, I’ve heard), isn’t illiquidity a problem (for most people)?
Please explain to us non-economists, non-traders and non-investors why “cash in any form” (USD, EUR, CHF, AUD, …) “will be worthless to you”.
