Alarm bells ringing as rampant speculation breaks out over Pyongyang’s ‘possible’ miniaturized nuclear warheads.
Beware the dogs of war. The same intel “folks” who brought to you babies pulled from incubators by “evil” Iraqis as well as non-existent WMDs are now peddling the notion that North Korea has produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead able to fit its recently tested ICBM.
That’s the core of an analysis completed in July by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Additionally, US intel believes that Pyongyang now has access to up to 60 nuclear weapons. On the ground US intel on North Korea is virtually non-existent – so these assessments amount to guesswork at best.
But when we couple the guesswork with an annual 500-page white paper released earlier this week by the Japanese Defense Ministry, alarm bells do start ringing.
The white paper stresses Pyongyang’s “significant headway” in the nuclear race and its “possible” (italics mine) ability to develop miniaturized nuclear warheads able to fit on the tips of its missiles.
This “possible” ability is drowned in outright speculation. As the report states, “It is conceivable that North Korea’s nuclear weapons program has already considerably advanced and it is possible that North Korea has already achieved the miniaturization of nuclear bombs into warheads and has acquired nuclear warheads.”
Western corporate media would hardly refrain from metastasizing pure speculation into a “North Korea has miniaturized nuclear weapons” frenzy consuming the cable news cycle/ newspaper headlines. Talk about hearts and minds comfortably numbed by the fear factor.
The Japanese white paper, conveniently, also escalated condemnation of China over Beijing’s actions in both the East and South China seas.
So let’s look at the agendas in play. The War Party in the US, with its myriad connections in the industrial-military-media complex, obviously wants/needs war to keep the machinery oiled. Tokyo, for its part, would much appreciate a pre-emptive US military attack – and damn the inevitable, massive South Korean casualties that would result from Pyongyang’s counterpunch.
It’s quite enlightening that Tokyo, for all practical purposes, considers China as a “threat” as serious as North Korea; Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera went straight to the point when he said, “North Korea’s missiles represent a deepening threat. That, along with China’s continued threatening behavior in the East China Sea and South China Sea, is a major concern for Japan.” Beijing’s response was swift.
Kim Jong-Un, demonized ad infinitum, is not a fool, and is not going to indulge in a ritual seppuku unilaterally attacking South Korea, Japan or US territory. Pyongyang’s nuclear arsenal represents the deterrent against regime change that Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi could not count on. There’s only one way to deal with North Korea, as I’ve argued before; diplomacy. Tell that to Washington and Tokyo.
Meanwhile, there’s United Nations Security Council Resolution 2371. It does target North Korea’s major exports – coal, iron, seafood. Coal accounts for 40% of Pyongyang’s exports, and arguably 10% of GDP.
Yet this new sanctions package does not touch imports of oil and refined-oil products from China. That’s one of the reasons why Beijing voted in favor.
Beijing’s strategy is a very Asian attempt to find a face-saving solution – and that takes time. UNSC resolution 2371 buys time – and may dissuade the Trump administration, for now, from going heavy metal, with horrible consequences.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi cautiously stated the sanctions are a sign of international opposition to North Korea’s missile and nuclear weapons programs. The last thing Beijing needs is a war right on its borders, also bound to negatively interfere with the expansion of the New Silk Roads, a.k.a. Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Beijing could always work on re-building trust between Pyongyang and Washington. That’s an order taller than the Himalayas. One just needs to look back at the 1994 Agreed Framework, signed during Bill Clinton’s first term.
The framework was supposed to freeze – and even dismantle – Pyongyang’s nuclear program and was bound to normalize US-North Korea relations. A US-led consortium would build two light-water nuclear reactors to compensate for Pyongyang’s loss of nuclear power; sanctions would be lifted; both parties would issue “formal assurances” against the use of nuclear weapons.
Nothing happened. The framework collapsed in 2002 – when North Korea was enshrined in the “axis of evil” by the Cheney regime. Not to mention that the Korean War is still, technically, on; the 1953 armistice was never replaced by a real peace treaty.
So what next? Three reminders.
1) Beware of an engineered false flag, to be blamed on Pyongyang; that would be the perfect pretext for war.
2) The current narrative is eerily similar to the usual suspects blaring since forever that Iran is a heartbeat away from “building a nuclear weapon”.
3) North Korea holds trillions of US dollars in unexplored mineral wealth. Watch the shadowplay by candidates bound to profit from such juicy loot.
Regarding ypur 3 reminders:
With Kim regimes statements on plans for a missle launch on Guam, it is not too far a stretch past that to “justify” a preemptive strike.
I agree on Iran only to an extent. Americans are weary of ME conflicts and Iran is not a direct threat to America. Maybe to Israel, but not to the U.S. as much as the propagandists try to push it, Americans don’t really care that much about what happens to Israel when it comes down to it.
North Korea’s untapped wealth. I don’t know a whole lot about that but I could name quite a few countries and companies that would profit off the destruction of South Korea. Japan and China being on the top of that list.
The North Korean news agency has no mention of any missile strikes on Guam.
Other western sources claim that a dummy missile launch into the waters to the north, south, east, and west of the island will be made, just to show capability.
U.S. War Hysteria Will Only Bring Miserable End of American Empire: Spokesman for KPA General Staff
Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) — A spokesman for the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) issued the following statement on Tuesday:
Timed to coincide with the fabrication of the heinous “sanctions resolution” against the DPRK at the UN, the U.S. war-thirsty forces are engrossed in war hysteria without discretion.
In the U.S. Trump is talking rhetoric without hesitation that “he will not rule out a war against the north rather than taking a folded-arm approach towards its development of long-range nuclear missile advancing with a rapid speed” and “even if a war breaks out, it will be fought on the Korean peninsula and even though thousands are killed, they will be there, not in the U.S. mainland.”
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Haley is openly saying that the “U.S. has the inexhaustible power” and “it will exercise the right to all the military options”.
An assistant to the President for National Security is saying that “if the north has access to the nuclear weapons capable of threatening the U.S., it is an intolerable thing for the president. Therefore, the U.S. is preparing all the military options including a fresh preventive war for neutralizing the north’s nuclear strike capabilities”.
The military warmongers of the Pentagon such as Secretary of Defence Mattis, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Dunford and commander of the U.S. combined special warfare are chiming in, unhesitatingly talking about the necessity of the “beheading operation”, “preemptive strike at the north”, “secret operation”, “internal harassing operation” and “special operation”.
Timed to coincide with this, the 82nd airborne division, the U.S. imperialist forces’ only air-dropping one, went into a large-scale airdrop and mobile drill, anticipating its involvement in the Korean front and the 25th light infantry division and the 10th mountain division are running high fever in their drills for getting familiar with the terrain of the Korean peninsula.
Navy SEAL which earned an ill-fame across the world and other special warfare units specializing in terrorist operations were urgently dispatched to south Korea. The plan for bringing strategic assets including B-52, B-1B, B-2A and F-22 formations to south Korea is in the pipeline.
At the Edward Air Force Base in California State B-52H formations are busy making preparations for a “secret operation” aimed to create chaos within the depth of the KPA, while staging a drill of dropping PDU-5/B bombs containing propaganda leaflets for psychological warfare.
The U.S. plans to bring huge naval forces including its two nuclear aircraft carrier task forces and a nuclear sub to the waters off the Korean peninsula.
All these military actions being conducted in the ground, sea and air clearly go to prove that the nuclear war hysteria of the U.S. authorities including Trump has reached an extremely reckless and rash phase for an actual war after crossing the red line.
Under the prevailing grave situation, the General Staff of the KPA clarifies at home and abroad its resolute stand as follows to mercilessly smash all sorts of military provocation, being planned by the U.S. imperialist warmongers, with the inexhaustible military might of the powerful revolutionary Paektusan army which has so far been built.
1. The KPA will start the Korean-style preemptive retaliatory operation of justice to wipe out the group of despicable plot-breeders once a slight sign of the U.S. provocation scheming to dare carry out a “beheading operation” against the supreme headquarters of the Korean revolution out of wild calculation is detected.
The “beheading operation” being pursued by the U.S. is just an extremely imprudent and heinous operation for “eliminating” the supreme headquarters of the DPRK, which has long been premeditated by the U.S. to “put under its control” Pyongyang where the supreme headquarters of the Korean revolution are located and neutralize the use of nukes and strategic rockets.
Once the U.S. shows a sign of starting to carry out the foolhardy plot, we will launch the Korean-style pre-emptive retaliatory operation of justice to annihilate the masterminds of the thrice-cursed operation and all the criminals involved in it.
No matter how much specially they have been trained and prepared, the commandos group will be completely eliminated outside the blockade lines of the seas, underwater and air of the DPRK in which its sovereignty is exercised and on the line before the Military Demarcation Line before they reach the supreme headquarters.
We have a world’s best special operation force, not merely a “team” or platoon or company or battalion in its scale.
Once the pent-up indignation of the service personnel of the special operation force of the KPA, which regards it as the greatest mission of the army of the leader and the party and the first maxim of soldiers to devotedly defend the headquarters of the revolution, against the U.S. and other enemies erupts, the U.S. will be forced to suffer an imaginably terrible disaster for the “beheading operation.”
The world will clearly witness how the fate of Trump and war merchants crying out for “not ruling out a war” and daring attempt to hurt the supreme dignity of the DPRK and eliminate its supreme headquarters will end in miseries once the fully prepared heroic special operation force group of the KPA on standby launches its operation.
2. The provocative “preventive war” the U.S. has devised and plans to execute will be countered with a just all-out war of wiping out all the strongholds of the enemies including the U.S. mainland.
The “preventive war” allegedly under the preparations by the security think tank of Trump is an extremely provocative aggression war concept envisaging a sudden strike at the nuclear and rocket bases of the DPRK, which have the U.S. mainland within their striking range, and preventing possible danger of the U.S.
Inventors of the “preventive war” admitted themselves that their act is a brigandish military option that can cause an international uproar.
Yet, they set the northern half of the Republic, in which the sovereignty of the DPRK is exercised, as the theatre of the “preventive war” and claim it can be an “ideal option” unharmful to them as only Koreans will die there.
This is a silly idea bereft of elementary sense, cognition and discretion of those ignorant of how things change, who their rival is and where the trend goes.
War is by no means a game.
The U.S. should remembered, however, that once there observed a sign of action for “preventive war” from the U.S., the army of the DPRK will turn the U.S. mainland into the theatre of a nuclear war before the inviolable land of the DPRK turns into the one.
We do not hide that we already have in full readiness the diversified strategic nuclear strike means which have the U.S. mainland in our striking range.
3. The attempt at “preemptive attack” oft-repeated by the U.S. military warmongers will be mercilessly foiled by the Korean style preemptive attack which will be mounted earlier.
Preemptive strike is no longer the monopoly of the U.S.
The DPRK has its own style peculiar preemptive strike mode capable of holding back any military preemptive attack of the U.S. in advance as it has made preparations for a do-or-die confrontation with the U.S. imperialist aggressors for decades.
It is ridiculous to talk about preemptive strike at the nuclear and rocket bases of the DPRK.
The Korean-style earlier preemptive attack will burn up all the objects in the areas under the control of the first and third field armies of the puppet forces including Seoul the moment the U.S. reckless attempt at preemptive attack is spotted, and will lead to the all-out attack for neutralizing the launch bases of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces in the Pacific operational theatre together with the simultaneous strike at the depth of the whole of the southern half.
All the strike means to be involved in the Korean-style earlier preemptive strike are ready to open fire of justice by order which can be made any moment.
4. The U.S. “secret operation” targeting the creation of disorder inside the DPRK and a regime change in it will be foiled by its all-people resistance.
The “secret operation” touted by the U.S. policy-makers is a foolish scheme aimed at bringing down the social system of the DPRK, in combination with psychological warfare after creating disarrangement with such disorderly conducts as murder, arson, destruction with the use of rogue-like special commandoes to be infiltrated into the DPRK.
In order to realize this scheme, a large-size bomb-dropping drill for psychological warfare is being conducted in the U.S. mainland.
The “secret operation” is a type of special operation which the U.S. applied to countries in Mid-east like Iraq and Libya and several other countries in Africa and Europe.
The anti-U.S. resistance of all the people including three million Children’s Union members and five million youths will smash to pieces the “secret operation” which the U.S. dreams to conduct in the DPRK.
A saying goes that a war with full knowledge of oneself and one’s rival will emerge ever-victorious but a war without knowledge of oneself and one’s rival would always end in loss.
The U.S. has gone hysteric, being quite unaware of the army and people of the DPRK.
The DPRK is an invincible ideological power in which all the service personnel and people are united around their leader in single mind and a country of an impregnable fortress in which all the people are armed and the whole country has been fortified.
The U.S. policy-makers have no idea that the country on a declining slope is none other than the American empire where they reside. Herein lies their tragedy.
This means that the U.S. is bound to meet a miserable end as it goes helter-skelter without knowledge of itself and its rival.
Those who make their way to this land for their dirty dream can never be scot-free as the entire army and people tightly hold arms with strong hatred and hostility toward the U.S.
The officers and men of the Korean People’s Army and the members of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the Young Red Guards replete with the transparent spirit of devotedly safeguarding the leader and defending the country are waiting for the time of do-or-die battle while closely following the every move of the U.S. imperialist aggressors.
The U.S. should not forget even a moment that its mean and crafty attempt at an aggression war against the DPRK will further strengthen the intensity of the military counteraction of the Korean People’s Army.
Should the U.S. finally opt for a reckless military adventure, defying the stern warning of our revolutionary armed forces, the tragic end of the American empire will be hastened. -0-

So if “dummy” missiles are launched and waters near Guam are targeted you would not consider that an unacceptably aggressive action? Radar signals can’t determine if a missile is carrying a nuclear payload or full of popcorn. Also, you have no idea the exact range of the missile nor it’s targeting capability so it is best to shoot it down as soon as possible.
I really don’t know why people persist in defending NK and Kim. If the people do not rise up and get rid of their leader who is leading them down the path of destruction, then they will ultimately pay the price for that. Same exact thing applies to the American people. One day the consequences of what America has done will come back on its citizens who let it happen.
I am seeing commenters saying “brave little nation” and touting achievements of NK. If it is so great why are its citizens held captive and not allowed to visit other countries freely? The whole country is a prison. The whole country is slaves to the regime. If there is one regime in the world that needs to be toppled it is Kim’s. No one has ever cared to do it because the price is too high and the rewards (spoils of war) are too low. That is still true until you factor in the profit that can be made from the destruction of South Korea.
United States can go ahead and nuke the DPRK but it should be aware that Continental America will be nuked too.
Moreover, North Koreans living in Pyongyang have access to underground shelters designed for nuclear war and these people are very disciplined in this type of scenario…wondering if ordinary Americans still remember what to do in the event of a nuclear strike (perhaps the baby-boomers and the elderly but the rest are more preoccupied with their iPhones and other gadgets). Are major cities in the United States prepared for mass evacuations…certainly the answer is no.
The US may get away exterminating 15 million people in the Korean Peninsula but ask yourself: How many People will perish in the Continental United States ? A very conservative number would be at least 90 million Americans (West of the Rockies including Alaska and Texas will become a nuclear wasteland).
One out of three people in the US is obese, Americans are extremely addicted to prescribed medications, OTC medicines and synthetic vitamins; they cannot live without air conditioning, water or electricity in their homes and these people lack of basic survival skills…therefore, what are the survival chances for US citizens in the event of a nuclear war?
And have no doubts that the DPRK have already achieved a second strike capability… meaning the KPA will surely use their remaining nukes to finish the job on a country already paralyzed and shocked by the first wave of nuclear devastation.
Beware also that Russia and China are allies of North Korea and they will be just watching how the US performs on the first round of nukes before joining the war effort and launch their nuclear-armed ICBMs and SLBMs towards continental US.
(Edited, capitals for whole sentences violate the blog rules,MOD.)
“So if “dummy” missiles are launched and waters near Guam are targeted you would not consider that an unacceptably aggressive action?”
Uhhh, lest we forget, the US does exactly that to NK all the time. Seriously, practically every year they have their strategic nuclear-capable bombers drop dummy bombs on NK, often at the same time as their massive war games of a mock invasion of NK staged right at the borders of NK. These war games are so large they could very easily be staged as cover for an actual invasion. Note that this is not a mock threat to some island thousands of miles away from the North Korean homeland, it’s a threat to the place itself, so far, far more aggressive.
As usual, the US would be completely outraged if anyone ever did to them what they do to other people.
On a side note, why exactly does the US consider Guam part of its territory in the first place?
“If there is one regime in the world that needs to be toppled it is Kim’s.”
Deeply regret to inform you that this kind of “White Man’s Burden” meme is long past its sell-by date. You see, for most of the 20th century Western imperialism told the fairy-tale about its very sincere yearning for world peace, freedom, and what-have-you which would materialise instantly once the USSR was defeated and Eastern Europe axiomatically “liberated”.
Of course I understand that to Western supremacists a good lie deserves to be repeated but, sadly, that doesn’t really do the trick. And the DPRK never believed in that lie anyway.
Take my word for it: If the DPRK brings utter destruction to Mainland US, the popularity of “Kim’s regime” will be soaring instantly all over the planet. Why that is so is left as an exercise to the reader, but let it be known that we have a very strong precedent in the 911 attacks: they were greeted by spectacular joy and Schadenfreude almost everywhere — don’t let the Ziomedia convince you otherwise.
The statement was from the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs. URL in another post, below.
I find both Pepe’s and yours, and practically everybody else’s perspective on the US vis a vis Russia, China, the BRICS, north Korea, etc as deeply flawed. When a group of people play a game – chess, rugby, marbles, war – what observer thinks that one side is only and always designated the ‘attack team’, and the other perpetually the ‘defense team’. That the one will win by scoring and the other can only win by preventing a score?
The US/UK/Israel have an avowed, documented goal – one world, non-democratic aristocratic government, open to all but dominated by the US and institutions made in their image and likeness. It will mean the subjugation, sterilisation, etc and misery of most to the advantage of the very few. That is their game plan and their objective in victory. For many sovereign individuals and states, it is a deeply repugnant, even evil aspiration. Who thinks that against such a team the only role of its opposition is to stop that from happening by perpetual defense? To win against the US perpetual defense is not a route to victory as it only delays losing.
We must assume that to not lose to the US, Russia, China, Venuzuela etc know that they must destroy the very core of this US ideology. This is not one of several tactical options. It is the only way not to lose everything. That does not mean fighting them where they are strong – a war – but where they are dependent and where they are weak. The US is wholly dependent on the tithes extracted from the world in the form of dollar debt, using the levers of bombs and sanctions to enforced dollar denominated general trade and especially energy trade. China, with fresh and oily smooth mutually beneficial trade agreements with any and everyone is presenting a very attractive viable alternative to US win/lose trade deals. It is quite clearly a flanking maneuver that is deliberately aimed at the US. It is a strangle hold aimed specifically at the US debt machine. And Russia is not a militarily defensive nation any longer. I am certain that it, with its allies, is actively and deliberately provoking the US into as many conflicts as it can because the US’s great weakness is its self-belief and hubris, and that that for the ‘New American Century’ to succeed, the US “must prevent the rise of any rival”. It MUST take on all comers. North Korea is one of them.
In the run up to the two (three) world wars it was patently clear that war was afoot well in advance – 5-10 years at least. During that period we must understand that leaders and allies on both sides were discussing and preparing to shed their peoples blood and weighing the benefits of doing so. Precisely the same is happening now.
I do not believe for one second that the BRICS was set up as a serious challenge to US hegemony in the thinking that the US would shrug and say ‘Oh hello, newbies. Welcome to the club. Lets share’. From before the foundation of the BRICS, that group of leaders knew what they were doing, knew what the US response was going to be – war, sanctions, internal strife, and they did it anyway. And I have to assume that they expected to sacrifice their people, cities, freedoms at some point. Because they know that to not fight and lose, even after decades of defense, means death for their country and enslavement of their people to a foreign power in perpetuity.
I view every emerging conflict in this light. Not as you and Escobar do, as if all the aggression in the world is a belligerent US running at nations that only intend to defend. Ukraine, Syria, Venezuela, the S China Sea, N Korea, Iran, Russian bombers at the shores of Canada, etc etc are deliberate provocations. I believe the Russians distribute their intelligence on the US to keep, for example, Maduro well informed. ‘Victoria Nuland’s ‘F*** the EU’ tape release should let you know how well and what they are tracking. They are drawing the US out, making it increasingly thin on the ground, destroying its image and hold abroad, even among its vassals. We are watching Russia and China orchestrate what looks like US warmongering and illegal trade sanctions in all directions, but is in fact a brilliant, slow two prong attack on the US supply chain (dollar debt), enforcers (military) and morale. By this means there will be a point when the US can’t afford to continue.
And yes, those engaged in this great effort to save their nations expect to be bombed one way or another and loose much. And North Korea includes itself in this aim. However mad Un is, he is doing a great job for the rest of us.
Good points Pepe… especially beware the ‘false flag’.
Quoting Alexander Mercouris: http://theduran.com/20275-2/
“One of the difficulties in discussing North Korea is that knowledge of the so-called ‘hermit kingdom’ is so limited.
No Western leader has ever met with Kim Jong-un, and nor at the highest level have the Chinese and Russian leaderships.
There is scarcely any knowledge of the institutional frame-work within which he works.
We do not know who his top advisers are and how he consults them.
We do not know how well-informed he is about the world or even about North Korea itself.
We do not know how intelligent he is, or if there is any institution like a Politburo or a cabinet or a Security Council which he consults. We do not know what his exact relationship with his top civilian and military officials is…
Lastly, we remain supremely ignorant of North Korea’s actual military capabilities.
Though North Korea has conducted five nuclear tests no-one outside North Korea knows how many nuclear weapons it has, or whether it possesses the means to deliver those nuclear weapons it does have.”
…………
CIA Director William Casey: “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false”?
“Kim Jong-Un, demonized ad infinitum, is not a fool, and is not going to indulge in a ritual seppuku unilaterally attacking South Korea, Japan or US territory. Pyongyang’s nuclear arsenal represents the deterrent against regime change that Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi could not count on.”
And it works. The DPRK has successfully resisted the will of “Western Democracy” as only a few others have. The question at hand is two-fold:
a) Do Russia and China, tacitly, count on the resilience of the DPRK and go along with the sanctions so as to be seen as “playing nice” by their mortal enemies? An absolutely futile gesture, yes, but its futility should be obvious to Russia’s and China’s leaderships.
b) Is the DPRK supposed to be “impressed” by yet another Western screamfest including, as always, the braindead Western Left? With an adversary such as the DPRK Soros, The Donald, and NATO will have to gamble since the DPRK enjoys social cohesion, a strong will for national independence, and — nukes.
Thanks, all, for your insights. In all of these discussions I know there are many who are wondering exactly how much this long- planned war / holocaust is going to cost in terms of blood and money. I suspect there are at least two more things that could be added to North Korea’s List of Crimes, namely the North Korean governments’ apparent statement of support for the Palestinians, and the heroin growing operations there that (unlike the heroin fields in Afghanistan) are not being watched over by American soldiers. I have also heard some very high figures for the mineral wealth of North Korea (again, a similarity to Afghanistan) so let’s not be terribly surprised about all of the war drums being beaten so strongly they are about to explode. I am grateful that so many people are steadfastly against this war with North Korea, but I fear that the powers that be are going to push and push this bloody thing until it finally goes. *** Meanwhile on the home front, consider these tasty tidbits: 1st, from the Washington Post, August 9 (NO, I am NOT making this up) —“God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un” evangelical adviser says….referring to Texas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress. No doubt Kim’s ‘god’ (which may be himself) has given him authority to take out Mr. Trump? –in which case , we should have something like the Thunderdome, where just these two freaks go in, and one comes out. This could save all the rest of us the nuclear “exchange”, yes? 2nd: from The Daily Sheeple “Forget North Korea, america is already Quietly Nuking ITSELF” “While senior US officials led by Mr. Trump and media pundits sound the alarm over North Korea’s nuclear ambitions, America has been dealing with a series of nuclear leaks domestically that are already exposing the public to radioactive material”. This article mentioned the Hanford Site in Washington state. Too many problems are happening here at home, so, a massive distraction is needed.
… a small snippet from Statement of DPRK Government
http://www.rodong.rep.kp/en/index.php?strPageID=SF01_02_01&newsID=2017-08-08-0001
“However, the U.S. goes more frenzied and desperate instead of accepting the DPRK’s existence and learning to coexist with the latter. It is trying to drive the situation of the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war, running amuck to conduct missile drill against the DPRK and deploying massive strategic equipment to the peninsula.
It was against this backdrop that the U.S. manipulated UNSC to rig up the “sanctions resolution” more heinous than ever, placing a total ban even on normal trade activities and economic exchange, thereby disclosing before the whole world its evil intention to obliterate the ideology and system of the DPRK and exterminate its people.
On the other hand, the U.S. causes such a racket with no time to wipe their mouth, making impudent remarks that it is considering the so-called military option targeting the DPRK.”
It’s really worth reading in full… the descriptive phrases for the US are interesting.. but nowhere does it threaten to ‘bomb Guam’ as the MSM are now peddling.
Articles about UNSC sanctions on DRNK

My guess is that US has already decided to attack to NK, and only some clever moves of Russia and China can change that. I think that there´s two main reasons for it: mineral resources and Belt and Road Initiative, the silk road. Read this: http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2017/08/10/531278/Henry-Kissinger-West-US-Europe-Atlanticism-Russia-China-Daesh-NATO
“On China, Kissinger specifically highlighted Chinese President Xi Jinping’s “Belt and Road Initiative,” which he said “will in effect shift the world’s centre of gravity from the Atlantic to the Eurasian landmass.”
By fulfilling the initiative, Kissinger said, China would be reshaping the international order to make it “compatible with its historical experience, growing power, and strategic vision.”
He then asked how the US and Europe would have to respond to such a remolding of the world order.”
Old war horse, Kissinger is asking how the West should respond to remolding of the world order? Well, isn´t the war on Korean peninsula ideal for that purpose? And it´s good also for Trumps poll numbers. So, in this case, deep state and Trump have a common target. It´s also good for Israel, as it delays Eurasian project and, asymmetrically, also cuts Irans influence in ME. I fear that once again US is underestimating the costs and consequences of such operation, because there´s so much to gain for them.
That could very well be true. I’ve thought for a while that the attack threats on North Korea. The US provocations in the South China Sea. And the Indian-Chinese trouble in the Himalayas could all be traced back to US plots to destroy the rise of China. All three are seemingly happening out of nowhere at the same time. And all three harmful for China. Which is another reason for China to not let themselves be trapped into serving US interests. That would be a disaster for China (and by connection, for Russia as well).
I think you are right beyond doubt. I read but can’t find the article that ISIS/ Al qaeda or whatever brand name they use are moving thousands of fighters to Afghanistan which is bound to raise concern in Beijing.
However regarding brave little North Korea, I include below a couple of quotes from Adam Garrie of “The Duran”.
It is good to know that those of us who support North Korea’s right to peace are in an increasing majority and hopefully the US will realise there is no public support for yet another orgy of mass murder in somebody else’s country. It also suggests that the full on msm lie machine isn’t as effective any more.
“North Korea is winning the information war in spite of fewer resources than the US”
“An end of year 2013 poll by Gallup found that the United States is overwhelmingly considered the top threat to world peace by a majority of the world”.
. . .
“It is against the background that many in the world who would otherwise not have any strong opinions of North Korea one way or another are seeing North Korea as a country which uniquely refuses to kowtow to US threats and as a consequence are developing a kind of geo-political admiration for North Korea’s stance. The fact that North Korea hasn’t invaded anyone, quite unlike the United States, simply reinforces North Korea’s status as a victim of American aggression in the eyes of the world.
. . .
“But North Korea has achieved something else. In an age where America is more hated than Juche is universally loved (or even known), North Korea is the country which above all others stands up to America more consistently and more thoroughly than any other. This has won the admiration of people of all races and nations and those from across the political spectrum, including those who don’t necessarily wish to live in a Juche society.”
Pepe is right to warn of a false flag – such widely spread warnings help reduce the likelihood of one happening
Way back when, there was a movie about a tiny little country that posed no threat to the USA, but there had to be a war anyway. It was a laugh hit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKOftmWGGXk
This time, the Mouse That Roared is not very funny, though the situation is on its face ridiculous.
People often wonder why Obama engaged in the Iranian nuclear deal, because even fierce critics of the US agree that it is a good thing, so why would he do it? It’s because it was a face saving outcome out of a deadlock of lies and propaganda. The US lied itself into a trench, again, with Iran to the point where war seemed inevitable. The problem was, the US can’t possibly go to war with yet another country, especially a powerhouse like Iran. The US’s loss would be so dire, the weakness of the empire would be there for all to see.
The US is crumbling, they are rotten to the core and it is merely a facade that they are so “mighty”. Don’t get me wrong, they are still very, very powerful, but nowhere near as powerful as they present themselves as. They can’t attack Iran, North Korea or even Venezuela, as some analysts are suggesting. They are at the end of the road and do what every other empire did before collapsing, desperately try to save it by pumping more funds into the military, which will just accelerate the erosion process. They spend $600-$700 billion dollars on defence and that’s just what goes through the pentagon, if you count all the other stuff that doesn’t, it amounts to over $1 trillion. The result of this? Russia went into Syria with ~50 aircraft and turned the entire conflict from certain fall of Damascus to a complete 180 which sees Assad comfortably strolling through a Russian military base on a sight seeing tour without fear of assassination by the CIA or their proxies.
The US even used false flags to try and scare Russia away, they could’ve used false flags like they did in Yemen (Houthi rebels “fired a rocket” at a US navy vessel from the coast, which landed in the water, so the US vessel “fired back” and destroyed radar stations… right) to declare war on Damascus and bomb it to oblivion, they didn’t, because they couldn’t.
Not to mention the exponentially exploding influence of Iran in the region in places like Iraq, where the US has been present for 14 years. The US is Israels puppet, a powerful, influential Iran is in complete contrast to what Israel wants to happen and yet, it happened and it happened under the noses of the US empire, because they couldn’t do anything about it.
Trump is a pathetic, posturing manchild who has seen one too many John Wayne movies, which is why he thinks he will impress anyone with his ridiculous rhetoric, it will not work in the real world. So the US has, again, lied itself into a trench, let’s see how they weasel their way out of this one without losing face, I doubt they’ll be so successful this time around.
Your comment has been sent on to Saker for review … mod
4th reminder:
Newly elected Moon Jae in, president of South Korea has promised a conciliatory, “sunshine policy” towards North Korea. The warmongerers in Washington cannot allow any reconciliation.
Empire of chaos needs a war (or pre war situation) in order to justify their hegemonic military presence in S. Korea.
Serbian girl – yes you are quite right – the US manufactures crises at the behest of the corporations which run the country. All wars are Zionist banker wars. The US is allergic to peace.
Moon may have had good intentions but has been quickly told who really runs South Korea hence protests in South Korea about THAAD with placards reading “Moon Jae-in, Park Geun-hye… What’s the Difference?”
http://www.zoominkorea.org/seongju-residents-moon-jae-in-park-geun-hye-whats-the-difference/
Quite astonishing to realise that – According to the data released by the Department of Defense (DoD) and its Defense Manpower Data Centre,
there are over 28,000 US troops in 85 bases in South Korea, and have been there since 1957.
85 military bases in one small country and Kim is the threat?
Plus they have nuclear weapons there too. No mention of all this at the UNSC however. There never is.
https://journal-neo.org/2017/08/10/even-americans-are-now-demanding-the-closure-of-us-military-installations-across-the-globe/
Considering Heartland Theory and economic realities most probable is NK gets it . I recall Brit FM Grey’s story about being ordered to find a way to get WW1 started…well, same situation – NSR and perfected NK nukes and missiles would force Murka outa the Korean peninsula, Japan, and points East…possibly even in time a retreat from Alaska…
This cannot be permitted…
It’s a singularity!
Pepe’s probably going to see a war over the NK business.

An open letter to Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Li Keqiang, Primier of the People’s Republic of China.
Your Excellencies:
Not since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 has the threat of nuclear war been as immanent as it is now: Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and supreme leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, have directly threatened nuclear war against one-another’s countries, and they now both posses the weapons to carry out such threats. Neither shows any sign of a desire to reduce tensions between their two governments: on the contrary, each new threat swiftly brings a new counter-threat in response, a path which can only lead to nuclear war.
The time has come for your governments to intervene to prevent such a catastrophe. I respectfully suggest the following:
1) Immediate joint testing by the Russian Navy and Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy of systems capable of intercepting and destroying intercontinental ballistic missiles: such tests would simulate missile attacks on both the United States of America and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and would demonstrate the abilities of your navies to prevent such attacks, as well as to enforce a moratorium on ballistic missile testing.
2) Pending the success of your joint anti-missile tests, the announcement that it is your intention to enforce a moratorium on any further testing of ICBMs, and that you intend to propose a resolution to that effect to the United Nations Security Council.
3) Jointly patrolling the waters between Russia and China via the Tsushima Straits in order to enforce a moratorium on joint naval exercises in the waters between Russia, China, Japan, and Korea, and an announcement that you intend to propose a resolution to that effect to the United Nations Security Council.
It is imperative that your forces intervene to physically separate those of the United States, Republic of Korea, and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, before nuclear war breaks out between them: thanking you in advance for your prompt attention to and action on this matter, Matthew Owen, California Socialist League.
“Beware of an engineered false flag, to be blamed on Pyongyang; that would be the perfect pretext for war.”
Also beware of of an accident being used as a pretext.
N Korea’s Likely Response Stops US From Preemptive Strike – Russian Lawmaker
https://sputniknews.com/asia/201708101056350277-north-korea-us-strike/
“The deputy chairman said he believed that the possibility of a “hot war” in the region increased every day, since, apparently, Pyongyang was not going to stop its missile launches.
“The worst can happen if the next missile flies to the wrong place. North Korea’s technical capabilities are not perfect enough to guarantee ruling out accidents. And then the Americans, ignoring the consequences, will not wait any longer,” Klintsevich stressed.”
Remember the South Korean naval ship that hit an undersea rock and sank several years ago? The zio-gay media, along with israel’s usual quisling regime’s falsely stated a DPRK sub torpedoed the ship. These pathological liars never retracted that false accusation, as far as I know.
The zionazi propaganda machine and quisling regime’s would use any accident, and blow it way out of proportion to further their war propaganda.
This one of the reasons the Chinese and Russians are leaning on DPRK to lighten up on the missile testing.
Its budget season in DC.
Which means, the US military is waging its two most important annual battles.
1) Making sure that the massive American tax income is not spent doing things like preventing Americans from starving, nor on providing health care to Americans, nor otherwise wasting money on stuff that might actually help Americans, but instead gets spent on fraudulently priced weapons systems that don’t work and on fighting wars around the world that provide no benefit to Americans.
2) The inter-service battles where each service (Army, Navy, Airborne Baby Killers, etc) fight each other to make sure that they get a big slice of the money taken from American tax payers.
Thus, its no surprise that the scary reports that OMG, North Korea might have created these super-scary weapons that might threaten the US so that the only possible answer is to take American tax-payers and shake them upside down to get any remaining loose change out of their pockets.
I think we should settle the whole thing by getting Trump’s friends at the WWE (American Pro Fake Wrestling) to arrange a special ‘Cage Match’ between Trump and Kim.
Na, North Korea is just ‘too big, too strong’ to be attacked. Its as simple as that. Not going to happen.
Look, Iran, North Korea, China and Russia are effectively out of the Anglo-Zionist crosshairs.
Venezuela, maybe, a big maybe. Ukraine, again, the Empire has no effective force/s to go on any offensive. And if the people of the Donbass start suffering in a major way by way of hostilities from the Kiev junta, then Putin, through Shoigu will unleash Mr. Khadyrov’s men again and the Ukies will get routed yet again. Only this time the conflict will drag into western Ukraine itself.
You see, every POTUS needs a ‘wag your dog’ type conflict, where bombastic declarations and statement are made. Mostly all this brings about is 24/7 news cycles around the Anglo-Zionist west and perhaps the rest of the world constant tv and internet coverage of the Empires military muscle. Its just Hollywood, where the U.S gets to advertise their potential strength/s and how ‘bad-ass’ they are. In other words. Its a ‘horse and pony’ show. A bluff. Coverage on the cheap. And North Korea is oh…so predictable and bombastic in their own way. Its guaranteed they will ‘play’ along with this hatched charade.
Its a true and tired narrative played by the Empire for quite some time.
Lets remember that the Joint Chiefs of Staff/ Pentagon have already told ( and this is a big secret that has somehow gotten out) the elites who run the Empire that the U.S. is in no position to launch a medium, to large scale conflict until 2022 at the earliest.
The U.S. military are busy in the process of ‘re-tooling’ , if you will , of the armed forces. After Afghanistan, Iraq…the U.S. military showed signs of cracking under pressure. It also showed that air power is limited in deciding an outcome swiftly. The human and hardware of the empires military is simply exhausted. And don’t forget that the Pentagon is also busy re-writing its doctrines as the old ‘set-piece’ doctrines are no longer valid.
One only has to ‘absorb’ the initial ‘shock and awe’ and ‘de-capitation strikes’ that would be predictably unleashed by the U.S. military, and if that is survivable, then the U.S. stands to lose big time once wrestled to the ‘ground’
The North Koreans are masters of concealment, and they hardly have any targets available to be taken out. Everything is underground, or deep into mountains. Even their nuclear facilities and
launch sites are probably really just made out of cardboard, while the rest is below ground. North Korea has been getting ready for this precise war since 1953. And given the brutal way in which the north was carpet bombed to the stone age in the Korean War ( 95 % of Pyongyang destroyed outright), these people are ready. And they are hardcore and a very serious lot. If the U.S. does decide to attack NK, then NK will be the one who ends it , believe me.
In the 80’s , a NK sub had a technical difficulty right close off the shore of South Korea. Essentially, it got ‘beached’ and stuck. Well, three NK naval soldiers disembarked to try and make some kind of contact with their people hundreds of miles away. These three soldiers were spotted by the SK’s and a hot pursuit commenced. The NK’s led the SK’ detachments ( many platoons) and their U.S. military advisors on a on a chase for thirteen days, killing eleven of their pursuers and tow got killed, and one got away. Those tow who got killed fought to the death rather than be captured. That’s how ‘hardcore’ the NK’s are.
I firmly believe that the next conflict the U.S. will get involved in will be Yemen. But this will be limited to airstrikes and special forces, logistics and weaponry to the hired mercenaries that the Saudi’s employ in their war in Yemen. Mostly Sudanese citizens who go and die against the Houthi’s for a salary.
Pepe, write a piece about what I feel is going to be an announcement made at the White House probably, of a ‘final, everlasting’ ‘coming together as brothers’ and ‘burying the hatchet’ if you will between the worlds Jews ( represented by Jared Kushner) and the Arab/Sunni world ( represented by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman) . I can just see the White House lawn ceremony as the write this. Anyways, I firmly believe something big is being cooked up and a grand announcement will happen soon. Its also a fruit of the Trump in Saudi recently tour.
You see, its sort of a dynamic paradigm shift to essentially isolate Iran and break off the Arabs, and also hopefully ( in their eyes) of the 1.3 billion Sunni’s away from the Iran, Russia and China axis, and bring in the Arab abd Sunni’s towards the Anglo-Zionist west.
I mean think about it, if the Anglo-Zionist west wanted to sabotage the OROB Silk road initiative than what I have written will spell its death bell in broad sections of the OROB’s intended paths.
Jared Kushner ( Trump) is being fought tooth and nail on this ‘coming together’ by the old-school Jews, neo-cons, who want no such thing but attack, attack…… .
The Crown Prince bin Salman and Mr. Kushner are the younger , more pragmatic leaders who understand that the current strategy is doomed and are naturally reacting to what they perceive and the all immersive threat from the Shia crescent. Wahhabi’s consider the Shia as an abomination and valid for massacre and Israel and Jews in general ( Zionist, Talmudic, Liberal etc) see the Shia, and especially Iran, as their eternal enemies and so two gentlemen I mention are both playing the old Arab adage, ‘ An enemy of my enemy, is my friend’ .
Salem aleikum,
you mentioned this ‘great coming together’ (between the Jew and Arab world) before in another thread. Then I was somewhat skeptical.
The wicked reason: to isolate Iran further (and eventually also China and Russia).
Now look suddenly what’s at the stove: https://www.rt.com/usa/399393-kushner-palestinian-israeli-peace/
Kushner is put at work.
However, I think Turkey will be the ‘party pooper’ (although they are not Arabs).
So I guess you are right. Maybe we shouldn’t give the wrong people the wrong ideas, who might be reading here
Thank you for the article.
I am confused as to why NK has not launched it’s own English language news service.
All they have to do is stick to the known, acknowledged facts, i.e. every country which has willingly submitted to giving up their ‘trump’ cards, read Libya, Iraq, ended up getting broken up, and their leaders assassinated in extra-judicial murders.
The west is now very exposed by the now extreme degree of propagandization of the media agency.
The truth can go a long way towards balancing the scales, very, very cost effective.
NK does have an English site —
http://www.rodong.rep.kp/en/
Here’s there official statement regarding Guam:
U.S. Should Be Prudent under Present Acute Situation: Spokesman for KPA Strategic Force
Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) — A spokesman for the Strategic Force of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) released the following statement on August 8:
Recently, the U.S. test-fired ICBM Minuteman-3 at its Vandenberg Air Force Base in California State targeting the DPRK, the fourth one this year, openly staged an actual nuclear strike drill targeting the strategic objects of the DPRK by mobilizing its nuclear strategic bombers formation stationed at its Anderson Air Force Base on Guam in the Pacific. It is driving the regional situation to an extreme pitch by bringing various kinds of nuclear strategic hardware before the very eyes of the DPRK. The Strategic Force of the KPA has taken special note of such maneuvers.
Such military maneuvers of the U.S. may provoke a dangerous conflict under the present extremely acute situation prevailing on the Korean peninsula.
Typically, the nuclear strategic bombers from Guam frequent the sky above south Korea to openly stage actual war drills and muscle-flexing in a bid to strike the strategic bases of the DPRK. This grave situation requires the KPA to closely watch Guam, the outpost and beachhead for invading the DPRK, and necessarily take practical actions of significance to neutralize it.
In the morning of August 8 the air pirates of Guam again appeared in the sky above south Korea to stage a mad-cap drill simulating an actual war.
Supreme Commander of the revolutionary forces of the DPRK Kim Jong Un, estimating the nature of the military action taken by the U.S. forces in the Asia-Pacific region, once recommended examination of a powerful and effective action plan for containing the U.S. imperialists’ aggression hardware as the U.S. forces are resorting to inappropriate and reckless military actions in the sensitive area, while going on the rampage in the waters off the Korean peninsula and the Pacific waters.
The KPA Strategic Force is now carefully examining the operational plan for making an enveloping fire at the areas around Guam with medium-to-long-range strategic ballistic rocket Hwasong-12 in order to contain the U.S. major military bases on Guam including the Anderson Air Force Base in which the U.S. strategic bombers, which get on the nerves of the DPRK and threaten and blackmail it through their frequent visits to the sky above south Korea, are stationed and to send a serious warning signal to the U.S.
The plan is to be soon reported to the Supreme Command soon after going through full examination and completion and will be put into practice in a multi-concurrent and consecutive way any moment once Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the nuclear force of the DPRK, makes a decision.
The execution of this plan will offer an occasion for the Yankees to be the first to experience the might of the strategic weapons of the DPRK closest.
Explicitly speaking again, the strategic weapons which the DPRK manufactured at the cost of blood and sweat, risking everything, are not a bargaining thing for getting acknowledgement from others and for bartering for anything, but they serve as substantial military means for resolutely countering the U.S. political and economic pressure and military threat as what has been observed now.
Will only the U.S. have option called “preventive war” as is claimed by it?
It is a daydream for the U.S. to think that its mainland is an invulnerable Heavenly kingdom.
The U.S. should clearly face up to the fact that the ballistic rockets of the Strategic Force of the KPA are now on constant standby, facing the Pacific Ocean and pay deep attention to their azimuth angle for launch.
It should make a proper option so as not to regret today in the future.
It should immediately stop its reckless military provocation against the state of the DPRK so that the latter would not be forced to make an unavoidable military choice. -0-

Red Ryder,
Thank you sir for sharing the official statement.
I hope people are coming to realize how dangerous this situation is. This exceeds the danger of the Cuban missile crisis in many ways.
1) During the Cuban missile crisis we had more rational leadership on both sides. I honestly don’t take Trump and his advisers as completely rational actors methodically employing brinksmanship as a negotiating tactic. His presidency is a bit of a wreck so far. Kim and his regime, their whole lives this is all they have known that war will eventually come again. Their statement is brinksmanship in return. When both sides play their hand this far out, it often goes to the end to determine the winner/loser. What starts as a bluff turns into taking the hand all the way to the end.
2) There is more danger of nuclear war with a country which is a nuclear power but not a superpower. Somehow, the Neocons can convince themselves now that nuclear options are on the table which will not lead to Armageddon. Also, warplanners are cold and heartless. They could easily justify in their heads that taking American casualties from a nuclear attack now is better than taking larger casualties later.
3) China’s silence is deafening. They are not talking down the potential of a U.S. strike and stating that if U.S. takes what they see as excessive aggression and force towards NK that China will step in. One has to wonder what China would really do if the U.S. strikes NK. They are so far showing that they will sit on the sidelines but I do not believe that. I think the Deep State war planners know this but are not advising Trump of that. To the contrary, I think they are advising Trump the opposite, that China will not respond militarily knowing full well it is a lie.
4) During the Cuban missile crisis there were enough people with memories of WWII still fresh in their minds. That is not the case now. American’s are used to “war” without consequences and they take it lightly now.
The more I think this through and put my thoughts on screen in different posts, the more I come to the conclusion that this war is going to happen.
I like Pepe’s article and all the informed comments on the strategic topography of the matter.
A sentence, by Annonnymy leads me to the Spirit of the matter, leaving earth, water, air and fire to the more informed, who I would be hard pressed to further inform, even if I dropped everything and studied the Korean Peninsula intensively for a week:
Annonnymy ended a much appreciated comment thusly:
” I fear that once again US is underestimating the costs and consequences of such operation, because there´s so much to gain for them.”
Here you have the crux of the matter: FEAR!
The Empire is based on Mind Control, through fear.
If that dynamic, celebrated September 11, 2001 in an occult ritual demolishing LOVE (93, as I have previously broken down the ritual numerologically, on several occasions here……..pointing out that the chances of Flights 11 and 175 adding up to 186 and thereby averaging the same as FLIGHT 93….for all three INTENDED building strikes in the WTC complex in Manhattan….93 going down in Pennsylvania and never getting to WTC 7 was “The Big Fail”. of that Luciferian Stunt……..but I digress………..”do the math”..186 divided by two flights = 93…..three times……being “accidental” or “random”…….is EXACTLY ZERO.
If you are attuned to what makes these creeps tick, or would like to become so attuned, so as to better check, and then checkmate their disgusting “Order”, it is necessary to peer into the darkness of their spirits.
So yes, the financial aspects of 911 exist:
http://www.israelshamir.net/Contributors/Collateral_Damage_911.pdf
see Part II also posted by Shamir, A Russian Jew converted to Christian Orthodoxy. Fearless.More loving.
But their rituals and perversions tell you just how dark and depraved these SLAVES of fear are.
Spirit always trumps earth, water, air and fire.
And there IS a way to deal with their fear and not allow it to push them into pushing all of humanity into extinction.
LaoTzu or Machiavelli (or maybe both??…anyway….someone like that, said:
“Always offer a deadly adversary a means of escape, A Way Out.
Or they may risk everyone going up in flames together.
So, we gotta work on fools like Alex Jones doing the Fear thing for the Empire stupidly, on both North Korea and China.
If he could wise up, maybe The Donald could also.
“1) Beware of an engineered false flag, to be blamed on Pyongyang; that would be the perfect pretext for war.”
When Pepe Escobar is warning of this that is something to worry about.
Trump would love a war for his approval ratings, and the neo-cons will be offering love and status if he pulls one off. MSM might even suddenly like a strong CIC. Until massive SK body counts come in and perhaps a few nukes on Okinawa or Guam. There will be no “Seoul survivor” (pardon the bad Asia-hit pun) on the Korean peninsula.
America ruled by Israel. America threatens NK. NK points nukes at Israel. Peace.
Everybody needs to point everything at that govno hole.
Fact: War is coming to either NK, Iran, Russia, China, all of them or a combination of them!
Fact: Writings like this are growing tiresome because they excuse the seeming continued
subservience of Russia and China to their antagonists, i.e. approving the recent sanctions
against NK, etc.
Fact: NK and Iran are the only countries on Earth currently standing up for themselves in the face
of lies, threats and sanctions imposed upon them by these same antagonists.
Fact: China and Russia are now unmasked as weak and foolish by loading the gun aimed at their
collective heads and no analysis will prove otherwise.
Fact: China and Russia will seemingly tolerate any and all discourtesy and abuse which Pepe and
the Saker continue to rationalize with explanations pertaining to continued peace efforts –
which won’t work as everyday brings new affronts and offenses both politically and militarily!!
Fact: I don’t know Pepe, but the Saker is cool, he’s a great musician and I respect his intellect, as
well as his grasp of the subject matters he writes about, but nothing justifies supporting your
antagonists especially after they continually throw your interests under the bus.
Fact: Enough is enough, I don’t want war and China and Russia represent huge geographic
areas and roughly 1/7 of the Earth’s population. They could henceforth defy their
antagonists, throw out all NGO’s, seriously reduce diplomatic ties, dump the dollar, dump
swift, break select treaties, kick out antagonist-related business interests, set up camp in
Central and South America, Cuba, the Caribbean, etc.
Fact: Right now the antagonists are viewed poorly across the globe, with communist China and
ex-Soviet Russia viewed more favorably. Any more of this weak and subservient behavior,
coupled with the continued press onslaught against their combined interests, could reverse
this perception and again place those two countries in an unfavorable light. They must both
act in their own interests and in the interests of NK and Iran. Who have these four countries
attacked or threatened – NK issues threats in response to continued military harassment
(huge drills, bomber flyovers, etc.) by their antagonists, same with Iran.
On the ground US intel on North Korea is virtually non-existent – so these assessments amount to guesswork at best.<<
However…
CNN from March 10, 2016 "North Korea claims to have miniaturized nuclear warheads to fit on ballistic missiles, the state-run Korean Central News Agency reported.
The report comes after the country reported a successful test of what it said was a hydrogen bomb in February and as tensions on the peninsula remain high as joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises take place." There's more at http://edition.cnn.com/2016/03/08/asia/north-korea-nuclear-warheads/index.html but it seems that, as NK announced it over a year ago, no guesswork is required.
Following the very recent UNSC vote to impose ever harsher sanctions on North Korea supported by China and Russia the US now seems to think it has a green light to carry out a military attack on NK.
They actually believe this would “avoid escalation” which is another way of saying they don’t think China or Russia will intervene. That’s what they mean by “escalation”
Voting for these sanctions as China and Russia did was not an event in itself. It was the start of a process towards war against North Korea which they have made possible.
“Just hours after Trump made his famously heated vow to unleash “fire and fury” on North Korea if provocations by the Kim regime continued, the US Air Force issued a very clear statement in which it explicitly said that it was “ready to fight tonight”, launching an attack of B-1 bombers if so ordered:
The attack would consist of B-1 Lancer heavy bombers located on Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, a senior acting and retired military officials told NBC news.
“Of all the military options … [President Donald Trump] could consider, this would be one of the two or three that would at least have the possibility of not escalating the situation,” retired Admiral James Stavridis, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe and an NBC News analyst, said.”
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-10/pentagon-unveils-plan-pre-emptive-strike-north-korea-b-1-bombers
Well, it appears that the Donald is on a diplomatic course again, in a presidential way to avoid the outbreak of WW3. He has said “Things Will Happen To Them Like They Never Thought Possible”.
Well, that is a relief :-)
Dear Donald, McMaster and Mattis. If you happen to read here, I would humbly ask you to spare Kims taylor. Because it appears to me that he or she is working also for Hillary Clinton and Angela Merkel. Maybe his hairdresser too.
OBOR won’t work… BRICS won’t work… you can’t beat us at our own game! There is no alternative to US dollar… Fact is, America played the whole world. We are resetting the economy very soon, when the last rich persons dollar comes into the stock market, and noone can push the rally up anymore, the markets will crash. We will have every rich persons assets in the world, european, chinese, russian elites money is all in America, once we have it all, we reset the whole economy. We have created so much chaos, there is a money vacuum, people cannot put their money anywhere else except for America. There is no time for China to transition into any other system. They are too heavy, too many people, to much vested into manufacturing, they played their role in our world order. We will have some problems, but the rest of the world will be a lot worse when the crisis hits, everything will be reset, banks will not work, banking will have to change, and China does not have an alternative system to fulfill the liquidity needs of their country and their people. We have corrupted the Chinese and Russians and everyone, we are the great satan, your people do not want to live an alternative lifestyle, they want our lifestyle, they want to consume, and eat well, and waste everything, sorry its sad but true, the government will not convince people in Moscow and Beijing, that it is better to live under sanctions and have absolutely no money. China would be in an uproar if their economy fails. Their leaders are filthy rich, but they only fight for their money, they might be only ones with money not tied up in America. At the end of the day, Russian people and Chinese people live chained to the global economy. Communism does not exist, they are all capitalists even if it is some state owned variant, it does not change the fact that they all pertain to the current system. America will not let China and Russia create an alternative order, we will reset the economy, Russia and China will have to manage the chaos of what follows from there
Yeah, the US could do something like this, but there are two problems:
1. China at least still publicly owns a lot of its banks. It can basically keep them open and liquid by fiat. And if export markets dried up it would be hard, but with public banks priming the pump they could still shovel money into more massive infrastructure projects and keep the economy more or less afloat, old school Keynesian style. And ideologically they still understand how to do that; they did it in the last big recession and it worked. The US has no such resilience.
2. The US population is, basically, decadent. They haven’t revolted despite gradual loss of income because there’s still cheap Chinese goods at Wal-mart. If there’s no money AND no stuff, no iphones, no Nikes, no TVs, no cheap clothes, they will rise up and rip the ruling class a new one.
We have 3 aircraft carriers parked off North Korea, they will test they’re missiles and fire at Guam, We will use THAAD and shootdown the missiles. If Kim wants to escalate we will send in 400 airplanes to perform SEAD missions. We will annihilate all artillery, and we will glass North Korea. Maybe we lose Seoul and some other cities, but it does not factor into our calculations. We will completely destroy north korea and its people. If China says a word, we will do to them what we did to the Russians and consider an immediate economic reset. We threaten them with nukes, they threaten, nothing will be done, and we will hold them hostage to the economy. There is no time for their wonderful imaginary alternative world of BRICS and OBOR, we are resetting very soon and no infrastructure be ready when we reset. India is doing a good job of slowing them down even more. The reset will come soon, and the world will pass into a super rich, super poor, dichotomous societal structure. Worldwide there will be tyranny and oppression, slavery and war. America is ready for it, thats why we have the national guard and trump ready to declare martial law. Maybe Russia can manage too they have made steps to become police state. China has no chance, 1 billion hungry people will not be controlled so easily. Russia and China won’t fight us before the reset, they know whats coming and are only preparing themselves, we won’t let North Korea do anything to us, and then we will go after Iran and destroy them. Then we reset when we know nothing can be done and we have set complete fire to the world. We are an evil and cunning people, yes I am sorry, but we are first! Also we are way ahead of everyone going into the reset. While the peasants are picking up the pieces, America will be leagues ahead of everyone else. Trump played Putin so well, Putin is desperate for us to ease up on him, we will keep leading him to believe we will work with him and we will pull the rug from under their sorry feet. Trump and the generals are the people for this job. To finish up this circus. You think we would talk this over or just wait for China to build an alternative system? We do not spend 700 billion for nothing on our military. We hate taking casualties but its a good thing modern warfare came. We are the most technologically advanced nation on Earth, and our dominance will continue into the future. Our new world order will not be ready until we take over every last people of this dirt planet, Pax Americana reigns supreme! We are the exceptional nation! E pluribus Unum! Out of Many! Only one!! America!!
Is that satire?
What a difference a day makes.. There were just 24 hours ago and Alexander Mercouris – whose writings are usually very well informed though yes he does sometimes twist a sows ear into a silk course regarding China/ Russia but there he was yesterday saying the sanctions were a good move and even that they were a “victory for China”
Not so today. It’s no wonder that many of us out here wonder if the Russians and the Chinese really do understand what they are up against. I am not sure they do.
Because today with the sanctions approval being used by the US as support for war on North Korea,Mr Mercouris tone is quite different. –
“If the Chinese or anyone else imagined that the sanctions resolution recently passed by the UNSC
would calm tensions in the Korean peninsula they must by now be disabused of that illusion.”
No, Mr Mercouris very few people believed sanctions would bring capitulation.
Mr Mercouris goes on –
“Though there have been no tests of any weapons by North Korea . . .the rhetoric has become heated. Thus after days of unwise bragging by Trump about the vote, which he claims wrongly to have sponsored and which to their intense irritation he has thanked the Chinese and Russians for
we have Trumps “fire and fury” statement.”
And now a surgical strike seems a real possibility as predicted by many. The Chinese can hardly be surprised if the US attacks NK since they voted for crippling sanctions in the first place, an action which Trump interpreted as a green light.
It’s hard not see Russia and China as having been “played” and when you read the comments
by “America first”. above expressing views typically held held by the fanatical neocon US, you do have to wonder if the Chinese and the Russians really do understand what they are up against.
I doubt it because I don’t think they grasp the ruthless determination driving this Zionist empire as
shown by their endless attempts to engage with the US regime and as the guy above says, only to
have the rug pulled out from under them every single time.
Mercouris headlines his article “Angry China warns US on North Korea – back off and talk or risk disaster”
Maybe if they had been saying this months ago we wouldn’t be where we are now.
Doesn’t matter whether it is satire or “no threat, just promise.”
But should have ended, “America Worst!”.
Worst fear monger, worst SLAVE to fear.
That’s how you become “First” (Worst) in the category AF describes so well.
Run by satanists and tolerated by the worst cowards and morally deaf, blind and dumb idiots on earth.
“My Fellow Americans” as arch coward and piece of human trash Lyndon Baines Johnson began every speech.
And yet I Do love some of them.
Most likely it is not satire. Militant Pindo parasites do have this kind of attitudes towards the non-exceptional global majority — the like-minded colonial settler rabble in Palestine being the only other similarly indispensable folks.
What’s truly fascinating about the DPRK is that it’s also hard-core nationalist, but for all the right reasons. People fluent in Westish psychobabble of course don’t get it, and proud oppressor nation nationalists such as America First instantly start raging and fuming as fitting for exceptional and indispensable creatures.
Every beginning meets its end, Ancient Rome, Alexander the Great, … same with Pax Americana. if not in your lifetime it will come.
You already lost, Israel. Take your shills and find another rock to crawl under. Preferably, a flat one, easy to jump on.
The US MSN and neo-cons have gone “totally” insane over North Korea. They believe they have finally found a country with “some” nuclear weapons power that they can defeat. Whether they are correct is far from clear. But they intend North Korea as an “object lesson” for the World. They believe they can attack and destroy North Korea at minimal costs for their own people. They can have the deaths of millions of “Asians” but only a much smaller number of Americans will die in the war. Once its over they will unite the Peninsula under a stooge pro-US regime. Have missile bases and US combat troops stationed on the Chinese and Russian borders.
The World will be trembling with fear at seeing the US willing to actually commit those crimes. The US believes “rightly or wrongly” that fear will force obedience to the US. And they count on having “cowed” Russia and China over fear of war. To stand-by,let them work they plan. And with its success. The US can then turn their attention to finally dealing with those two states.
How long after claiming that North Korea by the fact of “daring” to possess nuclear weapons for defense. And then giving themselves the “right” to destroy North Korea for that possession. Will then turn to Russia and China and see those countries “daring” to claim a right to have nuclear weapons themselves. And say the “threat” of them having those weapons for the US can’t be “tolerated”. And decide they have to give them up or be destroyed. That day may very well be on the way. And the beginning of that path starts with Russia and China standing by while the US plays out their plans on North Korea. They will only have themselves to blame when its “their turn” to suffer.
There is an article on The Duran about South Korea calling for peace:
http://theduran.com/south-korea-calls-dialogue-not-war/
I’ll make a few points on South Korea’s position:
1.In calling for peace, they are saying that “North Korea” should give up their defensive nuclear weapons. So basically North Korea should be the one to surrender for peace. I don’t see that as a “doable” deal.
2. South Korea has double the population of North Korea.Has many times the economy of North Korea. Has by all accounts a large well equipped ant trained military force. And had all of that “before North Korea” developed nuclear weapons. And yet they allowed US troops to garrison their country ,because they said they “feared North Korea”. I’d say they have little credibility in talking about wanting peace.
3. If South Korea “really” is interested in peace and having normal relations with North Korea. Its pretty simple how they should start. They need to officially recognize North Korea as a state. And announce on their own that they have decided having joint US military war games in their country is a bad idea. And they are canceling them for the future. Everyone knows the war games are purely a provocation against North Korea. So it would show that they (South Korea) are serious in wanting to have normal relations with North Korea by canceling that provocation. The fact they don’t do those things tells me 1.they aren’t serious about peace. or 2.The President of South Korea is afraid the US will overthrow him if he tries that.Either of which shows their call to only be a smokescreen.
North Korea is for China what Ukraine was for Russia. Just like in Ukraine, the US would just love to overthrow North Korea and put its military bases next to the Chinese border.
@ passerby
I fully agree on your more global geopolitical perspective in its nutshell.
What shows how particularly dangerous those insane, extreme imperial provocations are, in this instance, is what is not even considered now in most western media:
1. China will not remain idle should an imperial war take place in Korea.
2. China will not let North Korea fall, least of all in the hands of the Empire.
3. China will not tolerate said Empire threaten it militarily at its very borders with what is now Korea.
What is at stake here, is very much the Empire being at war with both Russia and China.

“There’s only one way to deal with North Korea, as I’ve argued before; diplomacy. Tell that to Washington and Tokyo.”
*
American diplomacy does not exist.
What the Empire enjoys calling “diplomacy”, i.e. demonization, intimidation, bullying, blackmail, ultimatums, red lines, deadlines, threats of war and of annihilation, provocation, false flags, acts of war, etc. are not diplomacy. The Empire does not even have a clue what “diplomacy” means. How could it possibly know how diplomacy works?
The Empire needs war, wants war, constantly begs for war. Its key targets are Russia and China. It is now actively begging for war at those countries very borders… even inside them. The most imminent threat to the world right now is that of a total nuclear war in the making by the Empire; it so happens a Trump is considered a nobody without it.
Spot-on, Louis Robert.
Indeed, to be eligible for an appointment as a Pindo “diplomat”, your IQ and your manners mustn’t be above those of a die-hard alcoholic. A Russian diplomat is selected somewhat ‘differently’, so to speak.
I am not worried about NK starting a war at all. I do however worry about my Canadian govt morgaging my country to the hilt buying weapons and therefore loosing what soverenty we have left to the very same bankers pushing all this trouble.
All so we nato countries can actually start a war to take the untaped mining resorces of NK, and place our missles there aimed at 2 countries that can and will really fight back.
Canadas shinny new missle defence that we wont control or really own will be overtaken in the first salvo.
WE NATO are so full of ourselves after smashing a bunch of defenceless countries we actually believe we can do the same to like Russia and China. Further NK is going to fight back with everything they got, before they loose it. They remember what we did the first time. And then after their beat they will go to gorilla war.
Russia and China finally seeing the light will supply this gorrila war till nato is bust.
Lavrov:
There is a joint Russian-Chinese plan to defuse the North Korean crisis, according to which North Korea would freeze its missile tests, while the US and South Korea would stop large scale exercises.
“Russia together with China developed a plan which proposes ‘double freezing’: Kim Jong-un should freeze nuclear tests and stop launching any types of ballistic missiles, while US and South Korea should freeze large-scale drills which are used as a pretext for the North’s tests.”
This is a compromise that has been proposed a few times before. It’s a fair deal imho, but I’m not the one that’s calling the shots.
The compromise has always been denied by the USA.
Therefore I still think it is about something else than the missiles. It is about targeting China, and looting of trilllions of dollars of minerals in NK.
But, China has reacted also: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-11/china-promises-protect-north-korea-regime-change
In short: when the USA attacks NK first, China will defend it. When NK attacks USA first, China will stay neutral.
Can somebody cool Donald somewhat down before he cannot go back anymore? Because we are getting close to that point.
Maybe Melanie must give him a nice massage tonight.
Rob says:
“Therefore I still think it is about something else than the missiles. It is about targeting China, and looting of trilllions of dollars of minerals in NK.”
True, secondarily..
Primarily, as the 911 occult ritual tells you in stark terms, laid out above, it is about FEAR and continuing the Empire of Fear run by an occultocracy that even has clowns like Alex Jones in its thrall, while he pretends to be a “leader” of the Resistance to the Globalists hoping Trump’s support will rise based on “crushing communists”.
FEAR….the opposite of and that which makes Love impossible.
That Dark Spirit or its radiant opposite ruling the Earth is what this is ultimately about.
And the fears of Alex Jones (Sorry, Vitamin Man, your America of the 1950s is NOT some ideal to return to. Jeff Brown from Oklahoma (now China) IS right about that much. So were the Flower Children, before they descended into something worse, by CIA programming) and even our Dear Dennis about Anything Other than that ridiculous “Leave it to Beaver” Idiocy Consciousness (For example N Korea and China….which are quite “other”….but in many respects not as stupid….) are a major blind spot quite possibly leading to the greatest war disaster in human history.
Because of FEAR and lack of Real Love. its opposite.
Without continued Rule of Fear….the US Dollar is toast, very soon. That’s the fearful bind the Deep State has Trump and his “base” in.
@Bro 93
‘Without continued Rule of Fear….the US Dollar is toast, very soon. That’s the fearful bind the Deep State has Trump and his “base” in.’
I think you have an interesting point there. It’s all about the dollar. Unfortunately, the Russians and Chinese know that damn well.
@Zena
‘The name of the game is to get the US out of Korea altogether. I think that the Chinese and the North Koreans see all this as a “relatively” short term problem in that once the backed-by-nothing-except-military-power dollar loses it’s global reserve currency status – a process well underway and advancing continuously – running a global empire of bases becomes impossible. ‘
You may have a very interesting point here as well. Let me illustrate this.
The latest article of Pepe Escobar: https://sputniknews.com/columnists/201708111056391183-is-north-korea-showing-emperor-is-naked/
Excerpt 1:
‘As for the rhetorical war itself, a US intel source used to thinking outside the Beltway box points to the crucial variable, South Korea; “South Korea will not maintain its alliance with the US the day they believe that the US will attack North Korea to protect itself at the expense of the death of thirty million people in South Korea. South Korea is in secret talks with China for a major security treaty because of the US position that they will bomb North Korea in their own defense irrespective of the destruction of South Korea which the US would regard as most unfortunate.”
Excerpt 2:
‘What the Deep State Really Wants
Washington Needs to Show ‘US Not Seeking to Attack North Korea’ to De-Escalate Situation
For all the intractable problems affecting the Korean peninsula, independent analysts have also been considering how the Washington-Pyongyang drama is only a small part of a much larger Big Picture; the American subjugation of international relations based on their dependence of what is extracted from the rest of the world in the form of dollar debt.’
My point is, that it is not really about ‘missiles’. Pakistan has them too. Is that a stable, western nation? And then I’m not even mentioning Israel, who have them ‘secretely’. Ever heard of the Samson option? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samson_Option
No one is complaining about that. Yet.
Could it be, that NK, being the neighbour friend of China while sharing a border, is playing a cunning game to throw out the USA from SK?
Maybe that is a too far a thought, but it is tempting.
I do hope that tension will go down, we have to hope for the wonderful massage of Melanie
tonight.
Oh btw, is it just my perception that Pepe Escobar and Pail Craig Roberts are writing the skin of their fingers these times? That’s definitely not a good sign.
Today’s news which you highlight (China will defend NK if it is attacked ) is the news we need to shut this crisis down. I was so hoping we would hear this before the Rubicon was crossed and we entered Armageddon.
China has also said they won’t help if NK attacks first but NK has always said it won’t do that (why would they?)
You can’t predict anything about rogue state USA but surely it’s safe to say terror of what China could do and America’s well known fear of enemies who can fight back on an equal basis, should suffice to hold off a war.
What China is also doing is putting serious pressure on South Korea to consider it’s dangerous relationship with the US and reflect on whether it wants investment and trade or the risk of utter destruction. If it wanted to China could seriously damage South Korea’s economy. Is it gonna be THAAD, or food on the table in Seoul?
The name of the game is to get the US out of Korea altogether. I think that the Chinese and the North Koreans see all this as a “relatively” short term problem in that once the backed-by-nothing-except-military-power dollar loses it’s global reserve currency status – a process well underway and advancing continuously – running a global empire of bases becomes impossible.
This is the same question as faces Australia, another US puppet state. China is their biggest trading partner. Do they want that to continue or to obey the US and get involved in military confrontation with China? The answer would seem obvious.
The real problem for western countries like Australia and the EU and the US is that there is no democracy. The people have no say whatsoever in government policies. None.
All the political parties toe the Zionist line, there is no choice at the polls and the citizens are trapped in a kind of corporate fascism. What you have are one party states with factions competing for the top jobs but no choices for the people in terms of policies.
Added to that the populations of these countries are bombarded by lies and nonsense from their corporate controlled media which often just makes stuff up out of their own heads.
I am sure if the peoples of Europe, Australia and S.Korea were properly informed they would vote yes to friendship with China/Russia and no to war. Who wouldn’t?
This why the west is able to act so criminally because the people have no say and the wars are started by the 1% of the1% – or as one writer put it -“old European royal bloodlines and Jewish money power” .
Anyway . . . China’s unambiguous statement to protect NK from a US attack is very, very welcome and should keep the Americans in their box. Now we just need China and Russia to get them into substantive talks and nail them down hard on a peace deal.
Its reported that XI and Trump talked on North Korea. And that XI said there must be a peaceful solution to the nuclear issue. And urged restraint on Trump,in words and actions. So we’ll see what happens ,if Trump listened. I think XI should invite Trump to China. And show him the “red carpet” treatment. And also show him China’s modern cities and industry. I suspect Trump thinks of China as a backward country with lots of factories true. But not with the modern glittering scale of the new China. He might learn a lot from seeing that. And serve him some great cake with the Russian ice cream XI likes so much (two scoops).

Tee hee – will the pindos impose sanctions on the Ukraine now? This appeared at Zerohedge this morning:
NYT Shocking Report: US “Ally” Ukraine Is Source Of North Korean Missile Engines
The NYT reports that a Ukraine factory it is the most likely source of the engines that in July powered the two ICBM tests, which were the first to suggest that North Korea has the range, if not necessarily the accuracy or warhead technology, to threaten American cities with nuclear destruction.
