I have received a lot of outraged comments for my statement that Orthodox Judaism is at its core just a type of “anti-Christianity”. My critiques informed me of the fact that since Judaism was older than Christianity, it could hardly have been an anti-Christianity. Here are some samples of these comments:
Well, the first cannot possibly be true as Judaism existed well over thousand years prior, and ever since was an introverted worldview. (If you don’t know much about it, no need to put such sort of labels. Everybody has a right to preach his own religion, not just the Orthodox Christians).
Surely you’re aware that Judaism is MUCH older than Christianity, Saker? However some of them may feel towards the goyim, I think there’s a good bit more to their religion than mere anti-Christian animosity.WTF!? and with that the fools and naive can point and chant “anti-semite” – and could you blame them? Well yes you could, but still. That one sentence pollutes any nuance, any thoughtful analysis, any factual argument saker makes. Shame saker is turning out to be a religious zealot – or at least an anti-jewish one.
Sigh…
As is so often the case, modern propaganda works by a mix of ignorance and learned assumptions. You could say that this is a case of “unknown unknowns” to paraphrase Rumsfeld. This is case, all the self-righteous outrage above is based on a very simple fallacy: the assumption that what we call “Judaism” today is the religion of the Jews before, or until, the times of Christ. This assumption is completely wrong.
What we call “Judaism” today is basically the continuation of one of the many Jewish sects which existed at the time of Christ: the famous sect of the Pharisees. Specifically, it is the continuation of that part of the sect of the Pharisees which did not accept Christ (others did, Saint Paul was a Pharsisee and so what is immensely famous teacher, Saint Gamaliel the Elder). Besides being intellectually very sophisticated, one of the unique features of the Pharisees was that they met in “assemblies” to read the Scripture and worship. The word “assembly” in Greek (which was the lingua franca of the time) is συναγωγή “sinagoge” – or “synagogue” in modern English. When the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Legions of the Roman Emperor Titus in 70AD the Pharisees were the only ones that had a ready structure which could be used in the absence of the Temple, the synagogue.
Please keep in mind that as such there were no “rabbis”, at least not as an institution, before 70AD. There were priests and teachers and some teachers were addressed as ‘rabbi’, but ‘rabbinical Judaism’ (which what modern ‘Judaism’ really is did not exist at that time).
The other crucial feature of the Pharisees was that they (correctly) believed that not all of the teachings of God had been written down and that Oral Tradition was as important as the written one. Other Jewish sects, just like modern day Protestant denominations, insisted that sola scriptura.
There is no overstating the catastrophic importance of destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. Not only did it take away the place of worship around which the lives of all the Jews of the entire Middle-East centered at the time, but it also destroyed the building in which the Messiah had been predicted to come to preach and it happened at the time predicted by the Prophet Daniel. For those Jews who did not accept Christ, this was very, very bad news indeed. Something needed to be done urgently, and indeed it was. Here are the main axes this “response” took:
1) Under the pretext of correction and standardization the various Holy Books which we today think of as the “Old Testament” were expunged from the most evident passages which were referring to Christ. The Book of Psalms was especially butchered. A “new old Testament” of sorts was created by a group of scholars called the Masoretes who produced a fraud, a re-worked collection of texts we nowadays call the Masoretic Text of the Bible purged from all the key references to Christ (the *real* original text of the books of what we call today the Old Testament has not been preserved in Hebrew, but it exists in translations made from Hebrew into the Greek in the late 2nd century BC by 72 scholars working for Ptolemy Philadelphius, hence the translation is called the Septuaginta or simply LXX).
2) A new class of teachers tasked with the “correct” interpretation of the written and oral traditions emerged, the rabbis. Their main task was the “explain” what had happened in 70AD and what that mean for the Jewish people.
3) A “new old Oral Tradition” was created and this time it was put in paper. This is what eventually became known as the Talmud (of which there are two, but nevermind that), the anti-Christian book par excellence.
4) Exactly in accordance with the words of Christ and the Apostles Paul and John the Evangelist, Devil-worship and black magic also soon were integrated into the “new old” corpus of traditions and this is the basis of what today is called the Kabbalah.
5) Finally, and logically, the focus of worship turned from a worship of God to self-worship. In this recent addition, it is the entire Jewish people which are the innocent and suffering Messiah and the so-called “Holocaust” is that mystical sacrifice from which the salvation of the world will come. In this latest school of thought, the Jews are collectively called to “fix/repair” the world, to do the work of the Messiah.
Okay, now before there is the usual tsunami of outraged comments spiced up with the usual accusations of anti-Semitism and the rest of the inevitable nonsense, let me tell you immediately that I have no intention at all to prove any of the above. I simply have no time for that. If you are interested, you can easily find all this information online, from books written by anti-Judaic scholars like Michael Hoffman to books written by authoritative Jewish scholars like Jacob Neusner. The latter will, of course, not at all put the same interpretation to these events as I do, but he will not disagree with the basic facts and chronology.
The point for me is this: you can take any good book or course on the history of what is called “Judaism” today and check for yourself that all the facts above are true. I particularly recommend “The Way of Torah: An Introduction to Judaism” by Jacob Neusner which, if I am not mistaken, exists in the form of audio lectures from the Teaching Company’s “Great Courses” series. From an non-Judaic perspective I recommend the books “Judaism’s strange god” and, especially, the huge “Judaism Discovered” (over 1000 pages!) by Michael Hoffman. You can get them from an online bookstore or even in the form of a (possibly unauthorized and therefore free) PDF download. But even a short trip to your local library should give you enough confirmation that I am not making things up.
If you take the time to study the roots and evolution of what we called “Judaism”, and which could be called something like “rabbinical/Phariseic Talmudism”, you will come to the inevitable conclusion that modern “Judaism” is not the religion of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but the religion of Maimonides, Karo and Luria. This religion has *nothing* in common with the religion of the Jewish people before Christ, just as modern Jews, especially the Ashkenazim, have no genetic connection to the Jewish people of 2000 years ago. We are dealing with a fraud whose main effort is to prove that it is the real thing, just as the Papacy is trying to prove that it is “the” original Church of Christ while in reality neither one of them have their roots in the times of Christ.
Depending on your personal beliefs there are only two religions today which can claim to be the real, true, continuation of the faith of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: Orthodox Christianity (simply because it is the original form of Christianity which itself is the accomplishment of the ancient faith of the Jewish people) or Karaism (simply because it the closest non-Christian denomination to trace its roots to pre-Talmudic “Judaism” at least in the version of the Sect of the Sadducees).
I rather not have a long discussion about this fascinating, but complex, topic. I just wanted to explain why I wrote the modern Judaism is basically a form of anti-Christianity and try to clam down those who suffered a heart-attack or stroke from the indignation at hearing such a self-evidently ignorant and bigoted thought :-)
Now let’s get back to the modern world and its numerous problems.
Cheers and kind regards,
The Saker
Well lets take a look at this article, who is in control of Banderstaan?
http://iamthewitness.com/Ukraine.html
Sir, the issue you are raising is highly charged and books cannot but be influenced by this. If you, yourself, and your readers wish to acquire a somewhat objective view on this matter, I recommend the work of scientists, not of people who are already adherents of a particular religion – and you also belong to this category.
Karen Armstrong’s work comes to mind. I do recommend you read her book “The Story of God”.

How about some analysis of the Moldovan election. How both sides (eu vs eeu) are saying their side one. What this could mean since inspite not all peoples getting the oportunity to vote (pridnisteria, some modovons in moscow, and the banned pro eeu party) pro eeu showed a strong showing. Future for gaugazia pridnistiria.
there’s some great research history in the form of oral lectures many many hours posted on u-tube & on his site for free by a researcher named jordan maxwell.
he has so much research, it breaks down into many sub- & sub- sub-topics.
he is about 70 now, and has literally spent his entire adult life since late 1950’s studying old documentation & writings right in their own on-site libraries.
no one would think to look there!
BTW, I note there’s another Exodus movie out, this one done in the horrible CG genre that is so rave now.
Now why is that put out right in/over The Season–are the 2 supposed to be related or something?
If Kabbalah is devil worship then how come nobody knows about this?
Why are there so many Kabbalah centres in USA and London??
one of the most suprising thing is the enemy between muslims and jews which did not exist for thousand of years untill the end of 19th century. in fact there was no reason to because jews were in high positions in muslims kingdoms and considered not very different.
If you closley see then you will discover that jews are what muslims would have been if the muslims had bene in less number.
muslims traiditon is that of a jew.
both do circumcision
both have sabath
both pray with heads covered and moving to and fr
both are fantatic and their gods are jealous.
both observe halal
both use the same artisan class that hte jews did.
to talk of christian judiaism is a fraud created in last 50 years-in fact the chrisitans and jews never got along. only the non chrisitan protestants english pirates for whom religion is stolen money did get along with jews that too lately.
==========================================================================================
I understand that the jews threw their lot with criminal and muscular protestant bullying with england by siding with war criminal cromwell(do’t you see how all war crimnals of english aprasite race are heroes of english thieves) who brought the jews back to england after the jews had been evicted first time ever in europe by the english in 1191AD by another war criminal so called richard the lion –.
ofocurse the jews knew that the english were responsibel for spread of anti jews feeling in the whole of europe starting from 1192 Ad when those starving masses of england spread to continet on way to crusade so that the ,u mpen propletariat of europe(which was england and still is) could help themselves with looting of other nations-they tried to loot constanipole a christian bastian.
but the jews needed someone for protection and as then it was then that england lives off-as it does now pn protecion racket-you bring stolen wealth to england and we will support and protect you from your law of your land.”
Israel is the center of attraction not the center of action. that is what most call the british empire from 1650 AD to today. and what role Israel plays is in fact distraction

Once more Mr. Saker, thanks for your careful informational essay.
As a History Professor, I am quite aware of how little the American people know about the world, its peoples, and its history (not to mention our own history). Shockingly, those who are responsible for teaching the Humanities are almost (and more criminally), as ignorant.
They memorized numbers of pathetic textbooks, passed some tests, smiled a great deal, kissed ass (steered their students away from any live appreciation of history and their rights and duties as free peoples). Did I mention kissing ass?
There are a few exceptions. Historians Howard Zinn, Benjamin Keen, and Mike Parenti, come to mind.
Frankly, if one does not support the right of the Palestinians to (at least half of what used to be their land), I do not want to hear any more self-serving whining about the ‘holocaust,’ even if I can name some of my family who disappeared in the gas chambers during World war II.
The question is – just how the hell do Jews justify the stealing of someone else’s land? If they were stealing German land, they might have an argument; but Palestinians? Give me a break.
‘Thou must not use one’s religion as an excuse to do evil.’ Is that in the Bible, or the Talmud, somewhere?

@George Papadopoulos:If you, yourself, and your readers wish to acquire a somewhat objective view on this matter, I recommend the work of scientists, not of people who are already adherents of a particular religion
Interesting idea. It assumes the following:
a) science and religion are mutually exclusive.
b) you have a better understanding of a religion which you do not believe in then when you do.
c) science has a better record of objectivity then religion
And then you end up recommending the writings of a former Roman Catholic nun.
Let’s now flip that around. Here is my thesis:
“If you, yourself, and your readers wish to acquire a somewhat objective view on science, I recommend the work of theologians, not of people who are already scientists”.
And then I would recommend the book of somebody who flunked out of high school.

Saker, you rock. Some day lets have a discourse on the sack of Constantinople and its cultural and political ramifications
The point of my previous comment was to suggest that Christianity – not just “Orthodox Christianity” – was more anti-Jew than Judaism was “anti-Christianity”. Regardless of Saker’s explanation, I’d say that still holds true, or at worst, that both modern Judaism and modern Christianity are “anti-each other”. Certainly historically there has been much more persecution of Jews under the various Christian denominations than the reverse.
There can be no doubt that Roman Christianity was from the beginning anti-Jew and remains anti-Semitic to this day. Read some of the comments of prominent Catholics in Baigent and Leigh’s “The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception” and there can be no doubt of that. And of course, Protestantism was heavily anti-Semitic. And given that modern American fundamentalists are only supporting Israel because Israel is prophesized to be destroyed before the “End Times” doesn’t exactly make them friends of Jews, regardless of how Israel is using them to bolster its political position in the US.
ALL the monotheistic religions are claptrap and always have been.
did the apostles of jesus kill the high priest and leaders of the pharisees or did the jews crusify jesus and its followers now be honest

“If Kabbalah is devil worship then how come nobody knows about this? Why are there so many Kabbalah centres in USA and London??”
that tells you where is the centre of devil and satan in this world.
Saker, your point #1 is an oversimplification.
There are three families of surviving scriptures. The Septuagint, The Masoretic and the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Dead Sea Scrolls are pre-rabbinical but agree many times with the Masoretes from the 9th century over the Septuagint.
It is factual that there was a reaction against Christianity (and Gnosticism) and it is evident in the Scriptures referring to the Godhead Deity
I refer you to the work of orthodox rabbinical scholar Alan Segal “TWO POWERS IN HEAVEN.”
http://books.google.ca/books?id=LRzCB9xSRFsC&printsec=frontcover&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false
Furthermore, Israelites and early Judaism believed in Complex monotheism. This changed after the destruction of the temple, the Bar Kokhba revolt and with medieval rabbis like Maimonides. Complex Monotheism was rejected as idolatrous heresy in favor of Simple Monotheism. the primary driver was seeking further distance between Judaism and Christianity.
http://www.twopowersinheaven.com/
Dr. Michael S. Heiser is a Christian scholar who has studied this in detail.
Daniel Boyarin is another Jewish scholar historian just like Segal who has studied the history of ancient Judaism and how it has changed over time.
Your claim that only the Orthodox Christianity is the true heir of the disciples and apostles is impossible to prove or disprove.
There are things that the Orthodox have done right and others that they have ignored from the so called Old Testament which the early assembly observed. The Orthodox have also ignored things done in Acts like the living in community and selling their possessions so that no one will have lack of anything.
Thus, we can’t say that this or that is the true assembly because we are not living today by the standards of the early assembly.
Off the topic,

The unfortunate problem of dealing with religious questions is that they are matters of faith more than of fact. People will tend to hold to their beliefs regardless of the facts presented to them, and people of faith usually interpret facts in a way that promotes their faith.
The topic is endlessly fascinating but ultimately frustrating because it cannot be resolved by presentations of facts or history.
I find it unfortunate that for many people, other non-religious myths take on the same type of faith and become impervious to factual argument. Those who believe the USA is #1 and devoted to freedom and democracy can rarely be convinced that the opposite is true. Those who believe the US is the indispensable nation and therefore not subject to international law are unlikely to change their opinion either. I could go on, but you get the drift I’m sure.
That said, I think your perspective is useful to someone like myself, raised as an American Protestant, for understanding the culture and attitude of the Russian people. For that reason, I appreciate your sharing your views.
From the time I spent a year at Starr King, the Unitarian school for the ministry, over forty years ago, I have maintained an interest in the history of religions. I greatly appreciate your post as a sincere and informed contribution to understanding the role of organized religion in promoting anti-human and oppressive ideas.
The basic understanding I have developed is that organized religions of all sorts are creatures of The State and are corrupted by it. Consequently, accepting organized religions as arbiters of morality is a key part of the mass insanity we have been taught to call “civilization.” Spiritual seeking, on the other hand, has always been something real simmering under the oppression of State sponsored religions.
Morality is sourced from within and can not be “instructed” by authority. The anthropology of religious practice demonstrates that there is a general sense of felt morality, a sense of what is just, that has been remarkably stable through time and across the globe. While States have continued to use organized religion as a weapon to aggrandize themselves, increasing contact between ordinary individuals evincing basic decency is opening consensual reality to the fact that organized religion of all sorts is very dangerous, and needs to be rejected in favor of a spirituality that recognizes the equality of all people, the sacredness of all life, and the need to abandon fear and hate as a way to structure our relationships.
Than you again for your contribution to sanity.
Saker,
Your mockery of fallacious thinking and rhetorical syllogisms are hysterically funny as well as artfully true.
Thanks for the article and swift wit.

The Wend: I just read the news re South Stream on a German Channel
http://www.tagesschau.de/wirtschaft/south-stream-101.html
Apparently the problem is Bulgaria. They don’t want to build the pipeline on their end, so the Gazprom threw in the towel.
I don’t think the Bulgarians can maintain this position for a very long. Where are they going to get their gas from?
@Wend
Russia withdrawing from south stream is a monumental development. Unexpected to say the least. Does anyone have an in depth analysis of this? Did anyone predict this or am I the only one surprised? This changes the whole equation because it would appear the Americans just succeeded in forcing Europe and Russia to do business exclusively with Ukraine as the central conduit.
Without south stream, ukraine retains its value in pipeline politics, which in effect gives them a veto in Russo- Eu relations where pipelines are concerned. Not to mention the reverberations concerning Serbia and the rest of the region. This is huge and should be explored in depth.
To acquire more information on the subject and to collect more puzzles to your objective view I’ll recommend work of Laura Knight-Jadczyk. You can find some chapters of her book in regards of religion here: http://cassiopaea.org/category/volumes/who-wrote-the-bible/ To talk about a religion subject without the reference to the historical, astrological and geological records pointless. All our today’s knowledge has been manipulated by the same king of psychopaths we have today in the past. Research of Fomenko and Nosovsky is a best example of scam/illusion we are living in. http://chronologia.org/en/index.html
Judaism is like some ancient tribal cult that somehow survived into present times by getting the other religions with larger memberships to constantly be at war with each other.
I read the Satanic Bible as a joke when I was a kid and was surprised at how much the Satanism and Judaism have in common, besides both being written by jews.

Subject: To RT: How about a frank program on the Russian Central Bank?
Date: 1 December 2014 9:46:39 PM GMT+05:30
To: feedback@rttv.ru
Dear RT,
I am a retired professor of philosophy in India, a long-time viewer of your channel. I am an admirer of Putin, and see him as as the best hope for a new international order to replace the Empire of Chaos.
There is one critical step that needs to be taken very quickly, the nationalisation of the Russian Central Bank.
In a recent exchange of ideas, the Russian economist Mikhail Khazin pointed out that it is widely acknowledged in Russia that the Russian Central Bank is not operating in the national interest. It is today operating as an arm of the IMF. The Russian government needs to take it over. It would be good if your very skilful investigators could look into the facts here. What is the legal status of the Central Bank? If there is an agreement with the IMF, how difficult would it be for the government to abrogate it? What might come in the way?
Here is a wonderful book by a Russian scholar, Nilolay Starikov, Rouble Nationalization: The Way to Russia’s Freedom. Here is a link to the whole book, in English, in .pdf format. It might help greatly with your research. I would love to see the author on your channel. He is co-chairman of Russia’s Great Fatherland Party. Trust that would not be a problem.
The work of the great American scholar, Ellen Brown, available here, might also be very helpful for background research on the topic. Should you wish to contact her, please put in a word to Max Keiser, on whose show she has appeared many times. Or write to her at ellenhbrown@gmail.com.
On your news program just an hour ago, there was an authoritative young man talking complacently of Russia fighting the depreciation of the rouble by selling its reserves. It seemed like he was sleep-walking. I found it terrifying.
There are real alternatives, once Russia gets control over its Central Bank.
A timely piece came out a few days ago, Grandmaster Putin’s Golden Trap, by Dmitry Kalinichenko. Here it is in English. And here it is in Russian. The author thinks all will be well because devalued oil is being sold for overvalued dollars and then traded for devalued gold. That is quite wonderful, I suppose, but who knows how many years this can go on. So, unless this is matched by something else, it might just be more sleep-walking. What is to keep the rouble from tanking in the meantime? Russia does need to import quite a few things, and Russians and others will be desperate to get out of roubles. So then what?
Another timely piece to the rescue. This is, As the ‘Sanctions War’ Heats Up, Will Putin Play His Gold Card?, by John Butler. The gold card that Butler sees Putin playing is to back the rouble with gold. Butler spells out how simple this would be, and how far-reaching in its implications for Russia’s economic strength, and for bringing to a quick end the free ride that enables the US to destroy other countries at their own expense. Should you wish to contact Mr Butler, the details are given at the bottom of the page.
But for all this to be accomplished, of course, Russia would have to take back control over its own Central Bank.
So, please raise this issue with the seriousness it deserves on your admirable channel. My hope is that you will do such a good job of it that it will get a play in Russian, in Russia. inshallah.
Kind regards,
Syed Zaidi

gee Saker you must have a death wish!.
The Sadducees,Pharisees were of course most dominant.Jesus however was said to be a member of the Essenes,of dead sea scroll fame.
….. anyway…
Just to head the bloodhounds of at the pass, Paul, aka Saul of Tarsus,a tax gatherer, son of a tent maker,so it is said, was never an Apostle, there were 12 apostles, and he was never one of them.
But on the road he was ‘blinded by the light’… the road to fame & power?.
St Paul,.paulinized the church it is said…organized stuff, gospels were omitted like the gospel of Thomas, the gospel of Phillip and others who were present at the time.
As you said back to the present!..
When these topics have been raised before, I have stated that my preference is for empathy rather than religiousity.
Whether the example of the ‘good Samaritan’,or simple kindness, with the antipathy which always seem to accompany religious fervour, the world decends into barbarism.
Idealogues,sincere or not,devout or not,religious or secular….

For those on this blog not familiar with the bible,Noah begat Ham,Shem and Japheth…now Shem was to become Sem and his decendants, came to be known as semites.Ham’s people moved over to Egypt and north Africa.
That left Japheth…who begat Gomer
who begat Ashkenaz!…
No one liked Ashkenaz!,so he and his,had to keep moving..
up through modern day Syria, Turkey,Georgia,to the Empire of the ‘Khazars’,the ‘Ashkenazi’ were welcomed and spread through the Caucasus,to Kiev,Novgorod etc etc.
Later on Shem’s people had spread,
and through Arpachshad’s line they begat Abraham who begat Ishmael & Isacc,Ishmael became the father of the Arab world while Isacc begat Jacob, renamed ‘Isreal’.
And they lived in peace until the Ashkenazi returned, with a lot of help from their ‘friends’.
The origonal ‘Golden Rule’ seems simple enough for me, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.
good luck,

@The Wend,
Please, don’t worry about the South Stream. This is a setback for sure but definitely not the end of this project. The Zionists managed to subdue the Bulgarian government but I do believe this is to be continued.
Serbia and Bulgaria will never be left behind! No brothers and sisters will be thrown to the wolfs, saying that, it is important to remember that Serbia and Bulgaria should put up a much better fight and not expect Russia to do all the job. Seriously, I love Serbians to pieces and know for a fact, you guys can fight beautifully and should do so in this war against our common mortal enemies –Zionist- Nazis.
Stay strong and don’t despair.
Thanks, Saker, for your patient efforts to evoke reason rather than emotion.
@George Papadopoulos: One of the curiosities of the religion/science comparison is in the basis for authority.
Apparently in religion, it is the oldest idea, text or tradition, that is considered most authentic as the “revealed truth,” while in science the most authentic truth is the most recent idea, so long as it has been proven.
John
An interesting history lesson, Sake.
However, “…back to basics” is a little over stated — e.g., you fail to mention the link between Christianity and early Egyptian cosmology (and not to omit Indian systems) and the latter emergence of Islam based on alleged (and foretold) revelations etc. However, I suspect your ‘basics’ are not to core/raw revelation but rather alleged historical events.
Then we have items like “The Controversy of Zion” (Douglas Reed) which someone posted here a few weeks back outlining an interesting insight into the relationships between the various sub-tribes of Canaan of which the Israelite and Judaism were clearly part of.
“In all likelihood…” — this business is largely irrelevant for the future except to help decipher mental and emotional bias and its cultist effects on world affairs.
From Reed’s little tome on Zionism regarding this seeming never-ending search for the resolution of identity anxiety:
“By the time of that achievement of 458 BC, many centuries after any possible period when Moses may
have lived, much had happened in Canaan. The nomadic Habiru, supplanting the native Canaanites by penetration, intermarriage, settlement or conquest, had thrown off a tribe called the Ben Yisrael, or Children of Israel, which had split into a number of tribes, very loosely confederated and often at war with each other.
The main body of these tribes, the Israelites, held the north of Canaan. In the south, isolated and surrounded by native Canaanitish peoples, a tribe called Judah took shape. This was the tribe from which the racial creed and such words as “Judaism”, “Jewish” and “Jew” in the course of centuries emerged.
From the moment when it first appears as an entity this tribe of Judah has a strange look. It was always cut off, and never got on well with its neighbours. Its origins are mysterious. It seems from the beginning, with its ominous name, somehow to have been set apart, rather than to have been “chosen”. The Levitical
Scriptures include it among the tribes of Israel, and as the others mingled themselves with mankind this would leave it the last claimant to the rewards promised by Jehovah to “the chosen people”. However, even
this claim seems to be false, for the Jewish Encyclopaedia impartially says that Judah was “in all likelihood a non-
Israelitish tribe”. (pp. 10-11)

Just to head the bloodhounds of at the pass, Paul, aka Saul of Tarsus,a tax gatherer, son of a tent maker,so it is said, was never an Apostle, there were 12 apostles, and he was never one of them.”
Yahushua did follow the Qumram calendar for His Pesach and this acknowledged by Benedict (Ratzinger)
Even the theologian ex-pope Ratzinger admitted not too long ago during a homily that the day of crucifixion is Wednesday.
This harmonizes the two Passover Seders that seem to be in conflict between the Gospel of John and the three synoptic Gospels.

However, Yahushua was not an Essene given that He was a winebibber. Yochanan the Immerser, a nazarite, was probably an Essene but not Yahushua even though He sided with their calendar for His Pesach Seder (aka the last Supper).
Some thoughts:
It seems obvious that current Judaism is Pharisitic.
I wonder if the “money changers” mentioned in the New Testament migrated to Rome after the destruction of the temple?

Does anyone else think cancellation of South Stream will motivate assertiveness by Russia in Bidenistan?
Hoping beyond hope there’s a chance for Turkey, Bulgaria and Serbia to shift to the Eurasian Union
Thank you everybody who are trying to lift me up after this disasterous news about the South Stream.
Anonymous,
you said ” it is important to remember that Serbia and Bulgaria should put up a much better fight and not expect Russia to do all the job.”.
I am sorry, but Serbia was fighting ALONE against the whole Western world from 1991. to 1999. We are the nation of 1 milion refugees just from these wars. Nobody was helping us, not even Russia, who blatantly betrayed us during Yeltsin years.
I am sorry to say this, but it is true: Russia always prefered Bulgaria to Serbia, although Bulgarians backstabbed Russians in BOTH world wars!
And this is the thrid time that Bulgaria backstabs both Russia and Serbia.
I am disgusted beyond description with Bulgaria! What a miserable bunch of cowards !!!
I would remind everybody that Serbia is today THE ONLY country in Europe (besides Belarus)who voted for Russian resolution in UN against heroization of nazism. It is THE ONLY COUNTRY in Europe who did not vote for the resolution in UN condemning unification of Russia with Crimea.
How can anybody compare Bulgaria with Serbia ????!!!
Serbia DOES EVERYTHING in her power to be Russian ally. Bulgaria DOES NOTHING.
Even non-Slavic and non-Orthodox Hungary has been fighting hard under prime minister Orban to have the South Stream built.
Bulgaria – a bunch of cowards and traitors.
Disgusted,
The Wend.
I just love this blog!
The anon mention of true christianity including the release of all money totally made my day.
Wend, maybe today your peeps can start to lead?
Hoping beyond hope there’s a chance for Turkey, Bulgaria and Serbia to shift to the Eurasian Union.
Russia’s announcement seems like a brilliant move to me.
the shirt-lifters always whine about russia’s reliability as a supplier, look what reliable customers they are. May they come to their senses or may their economies starve to death
South Stream will be built.
Just the first leg will go through Turkey instead of under the Black Sea.
There is a lot of gas there. There is also the Caspian Sea gas, not Russia’s, but it has to go somewhere and Russia already buys and resells some. Iran (another new Russia friend) is involved here, and some of the “stans”. These are a lot cheaper to produce, too.
Gas is not just cooking and heating. Gas is extensively used to make electricity. It is a lot cleaner than coal, a lot easier to transport and cheaper. Also there more of it, and takes less labour, and less dangerous work, than extracting coal. Replacing coal with gas lets a country increase energy usage while going backwards on emissions, a win-win. But it also reduces oil usage, which doesn’t suit countries that only have oil.
South Stream was dreamed up to reduce Europe’s reliance on Ukraine;s good behaviour. But Russia was in the same bind. Right now, the prospect of being stuck with Ukraine as the ONLY route, will force them to fix the Ukraine problem.
Later, South Stream will be built. The Bulgarian section was 3/4 done when EU pressured them to stop it, passing on pressure from US.
It will be built but EU will never get any more full members, ever.

The idea that Obama’s proxy army in Ukraine is defending the country’s sovereignty is pure bunkum. What’s going on below the surface is the US is trying to stave off irreversible economic decline and an ever-shrinking share of global GDP through military force. What we’re seeing in Ukraine today, is a 21st century version of the Great Game implemented by political fantasists and Koolaid drinkers who think they can turn the clock back to the post WW2 heyday of the US Empire when the world was America’s oyster. Thankfully, that period is over.
Keep in mind, the glorious US military has spent the last 13 years fighting sheep herders in flip-flops in Afghanistan in a conflict that, at best, could be characterized as a stalemate. And now the White House wants to take on Russia?

South Stream died because EU’s law, applied retroactively, is a No-Go for Russia:
China, India, South Korea and Japan benefits. (2 Holy Grail deals with China for not 30 bcm but 60 bcm year to China via the East and West routes.
VickiNu’s favorite bomb (a royal F***K You Brussels) comes in very handy here..
[.]Russia says that the European Commission’s requirement to adapt these documents to the Third Energy Package contradicts the basic law principle that legislation cannot have retroactive force.
The Third Energy Package requires, in particular, that a half of the capacities of the pipeline built with Russian money must be reserved for independent suppliers, i.e. for cheap and free transit of Caspian gas to Europe independently from Russia.
Therefore, Russia does not recognize the legitimacy of applying the Third Energy Package to the South Stream gas pipeline project. If Moscow agrees to the EU’s proposal to consider exemptions for the South Stream gas pipeline as part of the Third Energy Package, this will mean that Russia will de facto recognize the legitimacy of using this ultra-liberal regulation.[.]

Russia does not make threats. She just acts.
An offshoot of the announcement made in Turkey today
Putin said Bulgaria was under pressure from the European Union, which gets a third of its gas volumes from Russia.
“If Bulgaria is deprived of the possibility of behaving like a sovereign state, let them demand the money for the lost profit from the European Commission,” he said.
Putin said Russia would reduce the gas price for Turkey by 6 percent, starting next year, and had agreed to supply Turkey with an additional 3 billion cubic metres. Last year, 13.7 bcm of gas were pumped to Turkey via the existing Blue Stream pipeline.
He said Russia was potentially ready to build a gas hub on the Turkish-Greek border to supply Europe with gas to compensate for the loss of South Stream.
History’s automotive and globalist institutions are two, Christianity and Judaism. The rest are resigned to crushing, irresistible Fate—to despair—to the goddess Fortuna who does not exist.
Judaism is not about God but the tribe—the ancient, superior race. This exclusivism does preserve Judaism but also describes its nullity as religion wherein optional God is but tribal war god. God chose the Hebrew people to host then propagate the incarnated Christ sent not to lead them on earth as Judaism optionally demands, but to offer repayment in perfect justice to the Father for the sins of all people. The Hebrews who affirmed Jesus started Catha-hol-ism, globalism, in immediate compliance with His command to teach all peoples how to save their souls. Those who rejected Him knew whom they freely willed to murder. He said He is God and worked far too many miracles for doubt. In 30AD, no one doubted the Resurrection. They started Judaism at the same time solely to destroy Christianity. It is not a religion but dedicated anti-religion. How many religious Jews does anybody know? Everything in Judaism is optional except rejection of Jesus, humanity’s divine redeemer.
So, someone decided to mess up with Jews?
They are undefinable, because they have many different DNA. Many different Races compose them.
They are the Untouchables, because they control the World’s Money Supply.
The only common thing they have, it is how they position their self between the God, and the rest of the World’s Population, based on theirs RELIGION.

Judaism: A religion based on vengeance.
Christianity: A religion based on forgiveness.
Who can honestly argue that the two are not opposites?
To quote Israel Shamir:
The very essence of Christ’s Gospel was the rejection of revenge. That was the great difference between the Church and the Synagogue, these two sisters born two thousand years ago. This difference is built in, it is the inherent most prominent feature of the gap between the two faiths: while Christians are called to pray for their enemies, Jews dream of vengeance.
http://shamir.mediamonitors.net/september202001.html
The original and true religion had been a priestly religion. However, after the 587 B.C. destruction of the Temple of Solomon, the exiled Hebrews developed a religious way of life centered on the synagogue (Greek: ‘meeting’ or ‘meeting house’). Synagogue services were conducted not by priests offering sacrifices but by members of the community who were personally learned in the Scriptures. These came to be called rabbim (Hebrew: ‘masters’), whose learning qualified a person to explain the Scriptures, to give sermons, to lead the prayers, to teach the young and to adjudicate disputes.
In the centuries after the 515 B.C. resumption of Temple sacrifices in Jerusalem, the ancient Levitical priesthood, influenced by pagan Greek ideas and practices, degenerated until it fell under the domination of the Sadducees (‘Zadokites’), who, denying the existence of spirits or of the afterlife, were virtual atheists. They also denied Scriptural status to any books outside the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible. Few in number, rich, cynical and offering no hope, they lost their prestige among the people.
As the duty of interpreting the Scriptures was relinquished by the priests, it was steadily assumed by the scribes and lawyers. Calling themselves the haberim (‘associates’) but known to their opponents as pherisim (‘exclusives,’ hence pharisees), the scribes and lawyers of Pharisæism grew in power. Finally, in the reign of Queen Alexandra (76 to 67 B.C.), their most illustrious members were admitted into the Sanhedrin, the ruling council itself of the Hebrew true religion.
Elias Levita, a contemporary of Fr. Luther, advanced the theory that the Canon of the Hebrew Bible had been completed and closed by ‘the men of the Great Synagogue,’ presided over by Ezrah. This theory encouraged the Protestants, the Judaised Christians, to adopt the Judaic Canon rather than the traditional Christian Canon of the Septuagint. Protestant bibles therefore do not contain the seven books ousted as ‘apocrypha’ by the ‘masters’ at their meeting in A.D. 90 at Jabneh (Yavne or Jamnia, not far west of Jerusalem). This meeting also prescribed certain anti-‘Nazarene’ prayers to be added to the standard synagogue service. “The excluding act which segregated the apocrypha was the work of Pharisæism triumphant.”—Max Margolis, Hebrew Scriptures in the Making (Philadelphia, 1922) p. 91.
With the final destruction of the Temple, Judaism ceased to be a priestly religion, remaining the instrument of the scholars of Pharisæism until the 19th century. Then, as Christian faith declined, Judaic liberalism arose discarding conscientious orthodoxy and the menorah with timeless contempt, like a serpent shedding a used up skin.

Summit of Failure: How Europe Lost Russia over Ukraine–
Four Thousand Deaths and an Eastern Ukraine Gripped by War.
Part 1
Part 2
A good read but with the omission of the U.S. role.
One year ago, negotiations over a Ukraine association agreement with the European Union collapsed. The result has been a standoff with Russia and war in the Donbass. It was an historical failure, and one that German Chancellor Angela Merkel contributed to.
Dear Saker and fellow members of the Saker community, this is a must-read:
http://www.syrianperspective.com/2014/11/syrper-exclusive-what-lavrov-is-telling-muallem-what-muallem-is-telling-putin-and-lavrov.html
@SolisMinerva Did anyone predict this or am I the only one surprised?
I am surprised, too. But after the two gigantic Russia-China gas deals, and now another deal with Turkey, some where wondering where Putin is gonna take all the gas from… Some where even speculating (don’t have a link handy) it would have to be subtracted from the volume currently flowing to Europe.
Whoever doubted Europe’s leaders’ stupidity, they just got their final piece of evidence.
More interesting though, newspaper analysts are still ignorant to the fact. Look at this piece of self-righteous dribble in the German quality paper Frankfurter Allgemeine:
A personal defeat for Putin: “Now Russia needs to learn that there is a strong European Commission and a strong will are in Europe to comply with constitutional procedures”
HOW STUPID IS THIS?
AngloAmericanZionists must be laughing their asses off. Putin will secretly smirk. But Europe(‘s newspapers) are still thinking “that’ll learn ’em”? They’ll wake up soon enough. At least Merkel and Steinmeier know what time it is – and the media will follow, because the economy, stupid!
In addition, exactly as the excellent SolisMinerva said: “Ukraine retains its value in pipeline politics”. That’s good for the Ukraine and it’s good for Russia.
The only downside, but that could not be helped, I guess, was that it also punishes potential allies in Europe, like Bulgaria, even Austria, that would have liked to participate, but had less balls then Frau Merkel – and that’s not quite a compliment. Otoh, maybe now EU members will come to understand that they lost the freedom to govern their countries for their own benefits. So this might actually be another nail in the EU coffin.

Re: Saker’s comments in this thread and, several months ago what he called his “rant” about “rabbinical Judaism”.
Someone told me that Saker was anti-Semitic and his blog should not be read because of what he said about Rabbinical Judaism.
I had read the rant and, for anyone with basic reading comprehension skills it was not difficult to determine what Saker was saying, and it had nothing to do with anti-Semitism, but with an aberrant form of Judaism.
So, the vituperative attack by the person afore-mentioned, was instrumental in my decision to pursue the matter by engaging in some serious research. I’ve been at it for several months, now, and I think I’m beginning to understand what Zionism truly is and how the whole picture fits together.
Someone in this thread already mentioned, “The Controversy of Zion” by Douglas Reed. It can be read online in PDF format. I’d like to thank whomever posted a link to it several weeks ago, because I’m currently reading it (300+ pages).
It’s finally pulling all the threads together for me. One of the things Reed explains is WHY Jesus had such animosity toward the Pharisees. Fascinating!
Read the book, and then come back and hold what you’ve found up against what Saker wrote.
Here’s the link: http://vho.org/aaargh/fran/livres/reeedcontrov.pdf
I hope I’m not misstating this, but there were two Judaisms, so to speak; that of Judah and of Israel. It’s about rabbinical absolutism and the written vs. the oral law.
There’s a crucial paragraph in the book: “The whole dispute between ancient Israel and Judah of the Levites raged around this false deity (Moloch) and his demands, and Israel turned its back on Judah on this very account; this is the root of the controversy of Zion, three thousand years ago and now.”
re: Kabbalah: There is Christian Kabbalah which has nothing to do with black magic. The Kabbalah centers in London and LA etc. are based on Lurianic Kabbalah which has elements of magic, superstition and subliminal Zionism–definitely cult like in organization and focus (on wealthy folks as does Scientology).
Maimonides is considered a rationalist and, yes, he did not like Christianity one bit preferring Islam as a brother religion but then he was living in Cairo and was Court doctor to the ruling Caliph.
The mystics in any path are the ones with heart and who court physical experience with the divine…The extremes of mumbo jumbo vs. dried out scholasticism can be avoided with a little discrimination of the head and wisdom of the heart. But to each his own–some serve mainly , some study mainly some pray/sing mainly.
And, yes, it is true that derogatory texts against Christ have been deleted in modern times from the Jerusalem Talmud so there was bad blood from the get-go between those two early sects of Judaism.
Islamic prophecies when interpreted correctly describe a victory of Rum (Russia) and the Muslim world over the Jewish superpower. Rum cannot be Rome given that the main power of Rum was Constantinople of which Moscow is now the head.

I cannot believe that this still needs to be said in the 21st century. To the extent that a religion becomes political, it loses credibility as a religion.
On that basis, Judaism has a credibility rank of absolute zero, the Roman Catholic church, 0.00001 and the Orthodox church, 0.00005
IMHO only Buddhism any has religious credibility in the 21 century. It does not pretend to be the word of God, and it works quite nicely without a God.
The elites have never found a way to exploit it and I sincerely hope they never do.
The Controversy of Zion–Douglas Reed examines the ‘chosen people’ mythology of a jealous and vengeful primitive tribal religion which infects today’s world with Jewish Tribal Racism. Douglas Reed examines the origin of the ancient question of an exclusive doctrine, “Is it good for the Jews?”
It is this exclusive chosen people narrative of racist domination that Jesus came to contest. Jesus brought a universal salvation irrespective of race or ethnicity. The teaching of Jesus challenges the racist exclusivity of Judaism in The Sermon On The Mount. The universal Teachings of Jesus were a direct challenge to the Pharisee’s control of the Jewish People.
The Jewish Elders contrived a doctrine of separation and exclusivity that inevitably led to conflict between Jews and Gentiles. Many Jews wished to assimilate in the surrounding peoples and cultures, but they were prevented by the Jewish Law of Separation. The Jews live among the Gentiles, yet they remain apart asserting the ancient racist doctrine of god’s chosen people mythology.
Enough of this….I will link to Alexandr Solzhenitsyn’s Two Hundred Years Together(Russo-Jewish History. The book has not been completely translated into English probably because of Jewish domination of media and publishing in the West. “Is it good for the Jews?” is apparently negative with respect to translating and publishing the work of the the great Russian historian Alexandr Solzhenitsyn.
The book explains why the Jewish population of Russia plunged from 1,250,000 in the USSR to 250,000 today. The Jews were the USSR apparatchiks and abandoned Russia in its hour of need asking the ancient question, “Is it good for the Jews?, rather than “Is it good for Russia?”
You may also like The Jewish Century by Yuri Slezkine and a review of the book by Kevin MacDonald <a href=”>Stalin’s Willing Executioners.</a> Yuri Slezkine presents a triumphant examination of the role of Jews in the USSR. Kevin MacDonald characterizes the Jews as a hostile elite in the USSR, as they set out to destroy the Russian culture, the Russian people, and Russian Orthodox Christianity.
As always, those who do objective research and writing on Judaism and Jewish history are accused of antisemitism, as the Jews seek to conceal their role as destroyers of people’s who are not god’s chosen few.
@Vineyarsaker,
Sir, my point was that objectivity is hard to come by when people adhere to one religion and oppose another. Being above religions, one gets a bird’s eye view, sort to speak. One realizes that all religions have their benefits and their flaws, and that there’s no such thing as a *right* religion. Both wisdom and folly can and have manifested themselves in all peoples, all times.
Regarding the topic of science vs. religion, not all science is objective of course, but there is such a thing out there. Such a scientist might not have a “better understanding” of religion, as you call it, but might have a more objective one, since he/she doesn’t ab initio aim to demean the “opposing side”.
Karen Armstrong is a *former* Roman Catholic nun, as you point out. She has been hailed for her work, and studies all religions on an equal basis. I still do recommend her work to anyone interested in religions.
Respectfully,
GP
Look at the amount of comments already on this post. Religion is truly a fascinating topic.
Hi Honk !
I’m really enjoying your comments…very great..thanks !

Maybe one could say Christianity was an “update” of the Judaism “program”, then the Muslim religion updated Christianity “program”. ;)
I know, that probably wont sit well with mono-godders who take their indoctrination seriously.
Myself, since all three repress necessary “Goddess worship” to some degree or another and all have proved detrimental to this world we are a part of, I moved on to something better.
вот так
“This is what eventually became known as the Talmud (of which there are two, but nevermind that), the anti-Christian book par excellence.”
Why is that perceived as anti-Semitic? It is a bizarre and absurd statement, and can only be explained by a huge bias on the part of s/he who makes it.
No one else but a Christian anti-Semite could possibly read the Talmud (either) and think it was all about them.
@ self-designated “history professor” Antonsen:
What kind of nonsensical Fraud are you selling here? Which “Palestinians” are you talking about, the Jordanian and Egyptian settlers from the time of Mufti of Jerusalem and his nazi friends?
Yes there indeed was a state called Palestine, here is it’s official flag from 1939 – take a close look:
http://eussner.blogspot.de/2014/11/palastina-flagge-von-1939.html
Now is that an arab symbol there maybe?
As a “historian” (LMAO!!!) you should know that the british colonists INVENTED Palestina in early 1900’s, based on the long extinct biblical folks of Phillistines. That fact is well documented in every history book and in the official archives.
Go sell your masonic jihad elsewhere.
Following your post, I read about Kabala. Based on the nature of quests/questions, and its references it looks like carrying an older tradition.
” Devil-worship and black magic also soon were integrated into the “new old” corpus of traditions and this is the basis of what today is called the Kabbalah “

To whoever this idiot is: first, Slavs and Germanic peoples are coming from the same source. Just take a good look at a few typical Russians vs. typical Germans or Swedes, it’s rather obvious – same genetics stemming from “Asen”/Aesir, which gave the name to Asia.
That said, it was never the Slavs that attacked the germanic tribes, but always the opposite – ever since Vatican seduced the germanic peoples into their perversion of Christianity. Before that, even the religion of the germanic and slavic people was the same – which can still be witnessed on the island of Rügen for example.
Jews and Slavs were always both victims of Vatican and Freemasons and hopefully the common resistance and the friendship will remain in the future.
And please, stop comparing all Jews to those few godless devil worshipers controlled from the british Empire that raped USSR and other communist countries – that folly was completely invented, financed and handled by the americans. Go read some serious history books instead of crappy nazi propaganda sites.
Saker – Eat Jewish shit you faggot slavic traitor…
Yeah…
because my Mel Gibson pre-60’s Catholic bottom line is that the dirtiest of dirty Jews—and specifically they, “the horror, you can’t do it any more”—will be heavily instrumental in rebuilding the earthly Church “crucified dead and buried” these fifty years.
I could explain but have been banned enough by that faggot slavic traitor.
I love his bloody religion.
Bravo, Saker! You have tackled the difficult and complex problem of “Who are the Jews?” with grace and accuracy. How do you put up with some of the idiots who write comments on your blog-truly you are a Christian! I highly recommend Douglas Reed’s “The Controversy of Zion” for excellent overview of Jewish history from 550 BC to the founding of Israel. Michael Hoffman disappointingly has a problem with Reed but I think Reed is excellent and absolutely necessary reading. I reviewed the book here: http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2011/11/remembering-douglas-reed/
There is almost no subject of greater importance than a true understanding of this history. People must be educated in order to protect themselves from the inevitable guilt and manipulation that have become today’s form of politics.

Has anyone mentioned that Zoroastrianism is older than Judaism (obviously: Cyrus the Great was Zoroastrian when he liberated Yahud and aided them in returning to Jerusalem — the last books of Old Testament are filled with praise of Cyrus and the Persian people, who were Zoroastrian).
Someone above mentioned Karen Armstrong — she has drawn the connections between the teachings of Zoroaster and the ethical foundations of Judaism and Christianity.
@ The Wend
Calm down. Bulgarian government does not represent the Bulgarian people. Just as those traitors in Belgrade do not represent us.
Shame is on us for they tricked our people. Let us clean our house first.
Someone mentioned Karen Armstrong — she has written of the Zoroastrian origins of ethical principles in Judaism and also Christianity.
Cyrus the Great was Zoroastrian. The last books of the Old Testament are filled with praise of Cyrus for liberating Yehud and supporting them financially & politically to return to Jerusalem.
Esther, of course, chose to remain in Persia, but not only remain, i.e. assimilate, but seek to dominate, by means of spying, sexual deviance, lying, collusion, mass murder.
Esther is the Queen of the Dualist Jews who seek to have full control of their own enclave, and also full control of other states in which they dwell.
Anything sound familiar?
Netanyahu made a very significant speech in Washington that he opened by declaring that “Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish people,” and closed by praising Esther.
Back to Zoroaster and Armstrong — Zoroaster’s “trinity” is an utterly simple rule of life:
Good thoughts
Good words
Good deeds.
re Armstrong –She described Aryan beliefs and practices. They were not highly visual but were committed to the absolute integrity of the spoken word: to lie was the ultimate sin; lying destroyed all human as well as spiritual relationships. “In the beginning was the word” — the word of god is holy, to the Aryans.
“And the word was made flesh.” — Jesus is the embodiment of not lying, i.e. Truth.
“By way of deception.” The way Israel operates.
Saker, I would like to make a slight but important correction to one part of your text. Below I quote that passage, with my correction in **bold**, and afterwards, I provide some comments.
“The *real* original text of the books of what we call today the Old Testament has not been preserved in Hebrew, but it exists in translations made from Hebrew into the Greek in the **early** 2nd century **BC (Before Christ!)** by 72 scholars working for Ptolemy Philadelphius, hence the translation is called the Septuaginta or simply LXX.“.
In other words, the translation of the Old Testament to Greek by the 70 scholars was not done by Christians but by Greek speaking Jews of the time, around 280 years before the Christ was born. (By the way, in the 3rd Century BC even in Palestine, many Jews had Greek as their main language and used that for worship too.) This eliminates in advance any possibility of Christian bias in the translation. Our Orthodox Church uses the same text by the 70 even to this day, which was later further translated to Slavonic etc (and it is recognised as divinely inspired («θεόπνευστο») by the Ecumenical Synods). In contrast, the Protestants did the mistake of assuming that the Masoretic text was older than the Translation of the 70. And thus the Protestant Old Testament is based on the “messed with” version of the Pharisees!
PS: Old scrolls with fragments of the original lost Hebrew texts of the Old Testament, also largely support the authenticity of the Translation of the 70 vs the Masoretic text of the Pharisees.

100% totally correct :-)
and I will add the missing “BC” to my text, thank you for spotting this oversight.
Kind regards,

The “acid test” of real Christianity is whether or not it contains (expresses) the true spirit of Jesus, as He lived and expressed it verbally: “I am gentle and lowly in spirit” and “A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you”. Now, which sect or denomination of self-proclaimed “Christianity” is persecuted and meets the other tests, including all forms of Orthodox Christianity?!
Mr Richard Steven Hack writes, “There can be no doubt that Roman Christianity was from the beginning anti-Jew and remains anti-Semitic to this day.”
This calumny, which is so often repeated by people ignorant of Catholicism, needs to be answered as often as it rears its head. The Catholic position is quite simple, and I suspect it resembles quite closely to the Orthodox position, namely: antisemitism is a sin. A man is not condemned because of his DNA. Our Lord Himself was a semite so it would be irrational and anti-Catholic to condemn someone because of his race. At the same time, the Catholic Church has always cautioned against Jewish perfidy insofar as it attempts to crush Christianity by means of evolution, propaganda and unjust laws – exactly like what we are seeing today (in spades). Dr E Michael Jones often has interesting things to say on this subject, some of which can be gleaned here:
