A (well anonymized) anonymous reader sent me a very interesting link today. It is an opinion piece by Strobe Talbott for Reuters entitled “In 2015, Vladimir Putin may witness his empire’s death knell” in which Talbott predicts that:
The year ahead could see the outbreak of the third Chechen war, which, in turn, could be the death knell of the Russian Federation in its current borders. (…) For the past five years, the situation has been more or less quiescent, though neighboring republics have been rocked by violence. The lull in Chechnya, however, ended in early December with a series of bloody incidents in the Chechen capital of Grozny. The group behind the resurgence of unrest is advocating a “Caucasus Caliphate,” with ties to al Qaeda and, more recently, Islamic State. There is at least an indirect tie between outside support for Islamic radicalism in the Caucasus and Putin’s sponsorship of Russian secessionism in eastern Ukraine. By proclaiming ethnicity and religion as the basis for Russian statehood and aggression against its neighbors, Putin is inadvertently stoking the forces of secessionism in those parts of Russia that are historically and culturally Islamic.
Needless to say, Talbott, himself a former Deputy Secretary of State under Bill Clinton, member of both the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral, married to Brooke Shearer, also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a senior aide to Hillary Clinton with links to banks Commission, is the archetypal US “deep-stater”. He is also considered a “Russia specialist” which, in Foggy Bottom parlance means a rabid russophobe. A person like Talbott is very much “plugging in” the US deep state and if he says that next year there will be an insurgency in Chechnia, we can be darn sure that the US will try to create one.
Of course, this does not at all mean that they will succeed.
In fact, I am quite sure that there is zero chance of overthrowing Kadyrov, nevermind of Chechnia breaking away from Russia. If only because there is overwhelming evidence that the Chechen people want nothing to do with Wahabi terrorists and that they in fact form a very strong power base for Putin. Not only that, but Russia truly has formidable military capabilities in and around Chechnia. They keep a low profile and do not get involved in law enforcement or counter-insurgency operations, but only because the Chechens handle these tasks superbly. But make no mistake, Russia can flush at least 100’000 highly trained, motivated and superbly equipped men into Chechnia drawn from the 58th Army of course, but also from various special forces, Internal Ministry and State Security troops.
The weak link in the Russian Caucasus in Dagestan and the border with nearby Georgia from which attacks could come. Could the US at the very least rekindle the Wahabi insurgency (possibly supported by Nazi units from the Ukraine)? Yes, of course. But their chances to succeed in anything more than one or several truly ugly terrorist attacks are very, very slim.
I think that Talbott probably understands that, but he just cannot help by daydream out loud being, as he no doubt is, aware that if Russia prevails in her defense against the AngloZionist Empire this will mean the end for the latter.
The US deep state is simply saturated with russophobia, phobia in both the sense of “hate” and “fear”, and so it should. Just like all the other western invaders of Russia in the past, the AngloZionist Empire has completely cornered the Russian Bear which now has to fight for its very survival. Neither side will back down and only one will prevail. And my money is not on the US, neither is Talbott’s, at least now deep down. He must realize that the writing is on the wall. Hence the hate and the fear.
The Saker
It is amazing, quite amazing, the sheer depth of hatred of Russia in the western world. The problem is not restricted to deep-state elites but extends to the man on the street. My observation and conclusion is that about 75% of the populations of UK and Germany hate Russia and Russians; some 50%of French do so; in Canada and Australians, no doubt owing to the lower political IQ levels in these countries, the percentage approaches 85%; and, paradoxically, in the US the percentage is lower at perhaps 65%All this is very subjective and intuitive, based on personal conversations with peoples in these countries and an analysis of posts on sites such as Yahoo (where the scum seem to reside). Regardless of the accuracy of the above numbers, hatred of Russia in the West is a centuries old phenomena and it keeps spiking from time in a very ugly way. Russia and its leaders need to keep this in mind as they wade through the jungle of international affairs.
Indeed one need look no farther than Hollywood to see the extent of Anti-Russia hatred. “The Equalizer” with Denzel Washington, “Jack Ryan, Shadow Recruit” with Chris Pine (A search for the actor shows he criticized Russia’s “Anti-Gay” laws) “The November Man” with Pierce Brosnan. And that’s just in one year and the list is hardly exhaustive. In Hollywood, Russians can only be gangsters, evil spies, or poor helpless prostitutes waiting for an American to save them from wicked Russian men.
Truly, I don’t think they ever hated Arabs and Muslims that much. But then again they are hardly a threat to full spectrum dominance (Iran and Hezbollah excepted) whereas Russia clearly is.
In fact, even during the cold war it wasn’t so bad. Even some of the old James Bond movies, while still anti-Russian, at least had some anti-cold war themes.
Gone are the days of the Man from Uncle!
losers have to talk loud and bang pots.

putin, the leader of the free world and the christian world.
honest, humane others welcome.
I completely agree with what is being said above.
These statements by the high priests of imperialism are not accidental. They fully reveal the plans, fantasies and fears of the AZ Empire.
Will the anti Russia coalition do its ugly bidding in chechnya and the surrounding republics? 100% certain that they will try. But my guess is that they will have even less success than they did against Novorussia.
The Russian bear is indeed backed into a corner by those who have been plundering the planet for centuries now, but there power is waning. Their actions are becoming ever more desperate, ever riskier and ever more depraved.
I would also add one more thing. Unlike previous wars in which Russia had to fight the west all alone, she now has a powerful and very intelligent ally on her side.
Russia also has a leader far more intelligent and subtle than someone like Stalin, or Tsar Alexander. Xi Jinping is also a very shrewd and capable leader who loves his country and understands the global situation as well as Putin does. He is also a tough but fair leader who sees Western so called liberalism for what it is. He has taken a very tough stance against Western assaults on China, from virtually forbidding Western leaders to meet the Dalai Lama, defeated the so called umbrella revolution in Hong Kong, forbidden Western propaganda publications to enter China, has and will be backing Russia, imposed heavy fines on Western corporations abusing their pricing in China, and has superbly coordinated with Russian diplomacy all across the planet (there are several experts who have noted this)
Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brezhyinski are becoming increasingly worried about this development. I invite anyone to read their latest comments on the Ukraine crisis and more broadly. Kissinger has flat out stated that the Ukraine crisis is the fault of the west and that sanctions are a mistaken policy for the US to pursue. Brezhyinski for his part is expressing serious doubts as to whether the US are any longer the master of Eurasia. He has also twitted a few days back that the US and China have to come into an understanding apropos their relation to Russia. What this means is that our old friend Zbigniew is worried that the triangular relationship that for so long allowed the US to be the preeminent global power, is in a serious risk of turning completely against it.
Russia isn’t cornered : the UK tho is , shrunk to may hbpc size and almost had that cut in half by scots independence referendum
Talbott and US Ambassador Morningstar were pushing the cleaving off Dagestan from Russia during the Kosovo war. Those of us who follow pipeline geopolitics saw Kosovo and Dagestan as part of the Caspian oil play by the US political elite to extract over 200 billion barrels of light sweet crude from the Caspian Sea.
It turned out that the USGS oil estimates were a gross overestimate. Western oil companies are now delayed as the oil is high in hydrogen sulfide which requires the new hydrogen embrittled pipeline to be replaced with a high nickel alloy which is 10x as expensive.
So far Putin has beaten the US at every oil/gas geopolitical game and I expect this to continue.
FYI: Article with a brief rundown on the alphabet soup of US agencies working on bringing down Russia thru Ukraine:

Excellent psychological analysis. Fear produces hate. The fear is of falling; in this case, the Anglo-Zionist plan.
The larger question is what causes the fear? Fear is caused by violence, almost always from childhood by parents, teachers and care-takers.
Then there is cultural violence. Russia has experienced much violence from the West. But does she realize what financial violence is? Does she realize that usury is vile violence?
No, she does not, at least its vile-ness, or she would never tolerate for a minute the policies of her Central Bank.
Upon seeing for myself the first part of Putin’s recent press conference, I now think that the Saker was correct in his feeling and intuition that Putin is right on foreign and domestic policy but wrong on economic support of the fifth column; if I am not misreading the Saker.
Fedorov and his followers in the People’s Liberation Movement may indeed be crossing some kind of convention but I believe they are correct in the long run, although strategically it is not the time to rock the boat.
However, that time is coming when Putin has to put his queen into play where her life will be on the line. The queen is Mother Russia herself. When that happens, may love be with us all, for our fate hangs in the balance.

All peoples and Nations have the right to peace, freedom, and prosperity. The imperialist powers, led by the Oligarch controllers, Anglo/America/Zionist Landthieves, deny these rights.
What don’t we know? The Russians are putting up one hell of a fight. They are holding open the doors of freedom for the rest of the planet’s inhabitants.
We, citizens within the Belly of the Beast, must do our best to awaken the American people to restore their Republic, their economy, and their Honor.
Russians, and Americans, are brothers and sisters, and in the new year should find ways to join forces and defeat the Oligarchs.
Best Christmas Greetings, or whatever one chooses to celebrate, to all supporters of the Vinyard of the Saker, including, or course, to The Saker and his family.

Operation Merlin. about a CIA operation that provided flawed nuclear weapon blueprints to Iran in 2000.
As Risen’s book State of War has documented, Operation Merlin was ill-conceived and dangerous. In the name of countering nuclear proliferation, the CIA risked promoting it.
Tell the Justice Department to end the prosecution.
The legal pursuit of Sterling smacks of selective prosecution. When it suits their purposes, top officials often leak information that is “classified.” As the New York Times reported days ago: “The government hates leaks of classified information. Except when it doesn’t.”
By informing the staff of the Senate oversight committee about this reckless CIA operation, Jeffrey Sterling acted responsibly and commendably. He went through channels to be a whistleblower, despite the great likelihood that doing so would antagonize top CIA officials.
sign the petition in support of Sterling: “Blowing the Whistle on Government Recklessness Is a Public Service, Not a Crime.”

Hi Saker, Probably you know me as sometime I send my comment. I am an Indian(India). I totally agree with you. This Strobe Talbott was in India too during Clinton time. We know him. They are all Pimp. That’s all I say. Russia would great with Putin and Company and many years to come.
Also I would like to say to you please don’t get disappointed by Putin as he doesn’t spell out everything. As you say the Russian Act. Glaziev & Khazin are fine but Putin is super-intelligent we call him Chanakya. The Central Bank thing is also not bad at the moment. First Putin and Co would defeat the West in their own game and certainly move in the direction which he has envisioned. You can see some billionare are also coming back. Some of them might realize of being stooge of West and become nothing. Also I don’t think Medvedev would do against the Russia. Things are changing fast. The Central Bank thing would also something very interesting in favour of Russia. We have to watch. In fact Puting is very-very smart. I think he thinks 100 steps ahead of others because he has Truth with him and hence devine power. I hope you understand me what I am saying of course being an Indian it has to be Metaphysics.
We pray for him and Truth and for Russia.
Let me know with your 2 cents what you think

If they do try that ,that should be the signal for Russia to end the terrorism in the region.Send in enough troops to eliminate terrorism in Dagestan for good. And destroy the camp in Georgia as a sign that no more will be tolerated. That is a mission I’d let Kadyrov handle personally. As for Ukraine, the junta in 2015 needs to be totally eliminated as well. And their support of terrorism is a perfect excuse for that. And now we come to the US.Weakness is seen as a moment to prey by them.Just as the US feels they can “foster maidans in Russia”.The tables should be turned. The US is a racial powder keg.The constant police violence is fanning the embers closer to it.But a match lit by the Duma authorizing a “US democracy act”,to support and fund groups seeking racial equality, equality for the poor, and an end to vote rigging and police violence.Would send chills down the plutocrats spine. And howls of outrage from the US government.Russia really doesn’t have to do much.Fund articles exposing the problems.Public statements of sympathy every time a minority person is murdered by the police (every few days lately). And the more that is done, the closer the flames come to the keg. They’ll have more to worry about than attacking Russia.Even in Haiti and in Fulton people were holding pictures of Putin and asking for Russian aid.The Empire has to worry when their own slaves realize there is someone to cry out to.As I said, just the exposing of those problems will humiliate and scare them.

“..if he says that next year there will be an insurgency in Chechnia, we can be darn sure that the US will try to create one….”
They already tried. That tiny incursion 2 weeks ago was very odd timing, and very amateurish. A probe to see how soon and how thoroughly the authorities would react.
Eamzan Kadyrov’s comment that he’d like to quit and come to Donbass to fight was not just thumbing his nose at the Ukrainian SBU for wanting to charge him…it was a declaration that he still is a fighter, not a soft desk-jockey.
But his comment about burning the houses and exiling the families of any terrorists was a direct threat and warning — watch where your sons go and what they do. (I’m not sure if the actual burnings were just someone taking it as a hint or whether they were meant to ….)
The US comment trolls were horrified. “You can’t control an adult” etc. Well, USA is the only country in the world where kids move out of home (or get kicked out) on their 18th birthday. Many places they live at home until they marry, or even after that, especially if they’re subsistence farmers or unemployed. So certainly the parents have knowledge and control. Even neighbours will be watching out, for fear the reprisal team gets the housed number wrong.
Meanwhile MSM is starting to sow the fear already. http://www.bbc.com/news/30476381 BBC am I surprised?

This is truly disgusting; these depraved monsters agitating for the death of even more thousands of innocents merit being taken out for being psychopaths and for their crimes against humanity committed over the last 20 years. How is it that these homicidal cretins are still breathing?

Ruble Takedown Exposes Cracks in Putin’s Defense
by MIKE WHITNEY
“Like we said, Putin might be a great chess player, but in his battle with the US, he’s getting his clock cleaned. So far, he’s been no match for the maniacal focus and relentless savagery of the Washington powerbrokers. Yes, he’s formed critical alliances across Asia and the world. He’s also created competing institutions (like the BRICS bank) that could break the imperial grip on global finance. And, he’s also expounded a vision of a new world in which “one center of power” does not dictate the rules to everyone else. That’s all great, but he’s losing the war, and that’s what counts. Washington doesn’t care about peoples’ dreams or aspirations. What they care about is ruling the world with an iron fist, which is precisely what they intend to do for the next century or so unless someone stops them. Putin’s actions, however admirable, have not yet changed that basic dynamic. In fact, this latest debacle (authored by the RCB) is a severe setback for the country and could impact Russia’s ability to defend itself against US-NATO aggression.
So what does Putin need to do to reverse the current trend?
The first order of business should be a fundamental change in approach followed by a quick switch from defense to offense. There should be no doubt by now, that Washington is going for the jugular. The attack on the ruble provides clear evidence that the US will not be satisfied until Russia has been decimated and reduced to “a permanent state of colonial dependency.” (Chomsky) The United States has launched a full-blown economic war on Russia and yet the Kremlin is still acting like Washington’s punching bag. You can’t win a war like that. You have to take the initiative; take chances, be bold, think outside the box.”
I have to completely disagree with Mike Whitney whose arguments oscillate between the moralistic and wishful thinking. Some people say that Russia is accepting to being Washington’s punching bag. This is completely false on multiple levels.
a) The West in its entirety is extremely powerful. Once Europe fully capitulated to USA demands that they impose full sectoral sanctions on Russia the whole thing got very difficult for Russia. Between them, North America, the EU and Japan make up an absolutely mass percentage of the world GDP and also fully control the money markets. They also have extensive capacity of causing some serious trouble for Russia as they have already done with Ukraine. This is not Georgia and Estonia attacking Russia, it is the world’s richest countries in their entirety. What would Russia do? Launch the nuclear missiles? Take over all of Ukraine? Imagine the human and economic cost of such an operation. Imagine the subsequent difficulties and potential traps of such an undertaking. Imagine also how such an operation would be presented in the mainstream media. We must also acknowledge that around half of Ukraine sees Russia as the great Satan. For the above reasons, Russia should avoid the temptation of smashing Banderastan to pieces and let implode upon itself.
But let us also see what Russia has actually done.
a) Taken Crimea.
b) Saved Novorussia and bled the Nazis dry in the Donbass.
c) Exposed the US and EU of their utter contempt and disregard for Ukraine. As stupid as the Banderites may be, the terrible truth over their beloved allies will inevitably dawn on them. Some of them are already realising this.
d) Made huge and long term deals with China. It is not just the two gigantic energy deals that will tie the two giants together for decades. But we are talking dozens of deals in a great variety of sectors. I am absolutely certain that more will follow. The correctness of Putin’s strategy has become even more evident with the Chinese Prime Minister declaring his willingness to support Russia financially if need be. You can’t get a better ally than that. The Chinese have also pledged serious financial support for Russia’s former colonies in central Asia. They have done the same with Serbia.
e) Putin has become the de facto leader of the BRICS nations. Despite the fact that Russia is the least populous of the four major developing countries, and the fact that the Chinese are the serious financial muscle behind it, it is the president of Russia that is the leading figure and recognizable the world over.
f) By not creating even further carnage in Ukraine, Putin allows the political parties in western Europe to be more persuasive of their support for Russia. Virtually all the genuinely left wing and genuinely right wing parties in Europe are pro Russian now. This is in marked contract to the past when only the Communist Parties supported Russia. Back in Cold War days not even the Trotskyist or Maoist or Eurocommunist parties supported the USSR. The fact that none of these parties is now in power should not discourage us at the moment. They are all more or less gaining in support and it is not inconceivable that some of them will soon either be in power, or be extremely influential. The enemies of Russia in the CIA and MI6 are absolutely terrified over this development. The fact that their European poodles are under siege from both the left and the right drives them literally crazy.
g) Even though the US and its corrupt poodles have turned against Russia, the rest of the planet has not done so. In fact most countries on the planet see Russia as the country that can lead the oppressed countries out of their predicament and against their enemies.
h) A war such as this one can never be won by blitzkrieg tactics. This may very well last for years if not decades. Long term preparation and strategic thinking will be needed so that Russia and the brave nations that will follow her will be able to break the back of the AZ EMPIRE, which is still, and let’s not fool ourselves over this, the preeminent force on the planet.
For the above and many more reasons, a certain tactical retreat on some fronts is not only inevitable but also desirable.
“In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn’t such a great idea after all.” –Strobe Talbot,President Clinton’s Deputy Secretary of State, as quoted in Time, July 20th, l992.

Then again it’s good to know the enemy
The EU is not battle ready not are their populations,it still must be ‘sold’ to them.
The events of the last 13 years both geopolitically and with the internet explosion has the imperialists in a bind.
The populace are more accurately and better informed,no longer reliant on dubious news sources of ‘proprietors’ and their pressured editors.
The more informed realize that the enormous leverage GIVEN to the US in 1944,gave them hegemony over the entire world.
The BRICS et al,(not US’partners’) clearly understand the ‘Achilles heel’ of the IMF/US/World Bank domination and have side stepped it.
Just like South Stream, the IMF claims “all will be well”,4 years after delaying reform.
And just like South Stream,Russia and the BRICS have said “F*ck you!”,we will play something different.
There is a great need on this blog for V.V.P to do something but when you are the leader of a great nation, recovering from rape and pillage,it is necessary to place all the pieces properly.
Let us remember that Joseph Stalin
sacrificed 4.5 million men keeping the Wermacht from Moscow in 1941 he never had all the pieces in position, and his people died for it!
Iosif Vissarionovich Dugashvili was a georgian, perhaps Russian lives were cheap to him,but I am sure Vladimir Vladimirovich does not think that way.

Strobe Talbott. Yes, I remember this a-hole’s name well from the news in the 1990s during the breakup of Yugoslavia. This guy has his arms bloody all the way to his armpits.
His article reeks of omissions – specifically with regard to the early Chechen wars and the US involvement in them, as well as their current involvement with all sorts of nut-cases in the middle east and the Caucasus.
I think for this guy, the following phrase would suit best: burry the dead because they stink. This guy may be physically alive, but in there there is probably nothing except the stench of death.
Russia should prepare for all kinds of nastiness. The Empire is powerful indeed. And they have many more ways to cause pain than just rectal feeding.
Thats the bad news. The good news is that from a strategic point of view the Empire cannot win this fight. The rest is just imperial sadism that loses its power year by year.

p2. “The current turmoil in Ukraine and the military conflicts in Georgia and the Caucasus are a direct result of the anti-Russian policy of the US administration, claims the former head of Russia’s Federal Security Service. Nikolai Patrushev who headed the FSB from 1999 until 2008 said in an interview with the Russian government daily Rossiiskaya Gazeta that intelligence analysts established a current anti-Russian program being executed by American special services dates back to the 1970s, and is based on Zbigniew Brzezinski’s “strategy of weak spots”, the policy of turning the opponent’s potential problems into full scale crises. “The CIA decided that the most vulnerable spot in our country was its economy…. The hostile policy exercised by the US against the Soviet Union continued into modern times, but this time the target was the Russian Federation as the only country in the world that possessed enough nuclear weapons to effectively oppose the United States. “American strategists saw the solution of this situation in the final destruction of the state administration in our country with the subsequent breakup of its territory,” Patrushev revealed. The new plan was put into life through US support of Chechen separatism, but it was thwarted because of Vladimir Putin’s policy, the official said….. The new stage of the Russia-US standoff happened during the 2008 war in Georgia…. Patrushev said that the current events in Ukraine, including the coup that brought to power the current Kiev administration, were also the result of US special services. “The coup d’état in Kiev was done with open support from the US, using a classic scheme tried and tested in Latin America, Africa and the Mideast.” (US dusted off old USSR-break-up strategy for use in Ukraine – former FSB chief, October 16, 2014)
The U.S. support of Chechen groups that are conducting terrorist operations against Russia is largely a repetition of the strategy employed previously to support the Afghan Mujahideen (Operation Cyclone) and shows the willingness of Western governments to indirectly or directly support terrorist groups to achieve their ‘shared’ objectives. This clearly exposes the hypocrisy behind the so-called ‘war on terror’ that is now being abused to facilitate globally expanding militarism.
Oh, Talbot, and others like him, only are interested in finding the scapegoat for all their frustrations. Because if the biggest problem with the US, and its associated, rule out Russia would really lucky.
In the latest edition of Fort Apache, political gathering of Pablo Iglesias to Hispan TV,there was interesting statements that make us see that the dangers to US really points from within. Russia, simply, is like that neighbor who to things began to go well and on which another neighbor, embittered by their own slump, download unjustifiably his anger only by that ancient sport of the human species of envy.
These interesting statements are:
-60% Of the US population does not vote.
-The Latinos vote in greater numbers than the Anglo-Saxons.
-Within these most youngs (“dreamers”) English speakers, who have worked and work hard and move to vote.
-Absence of political migration (as it was in the beginning) and instead economic migration with no possibilities of return, and therefore has an interest and desire to influence policy decisions.
-Great division in the Republican Party with respect to the migrant population.
Hostile Republican-policies that make them see their only survival space in the Democratic field.
-Impossibility to deport 5 million people.
-Basic contradiction between allowing capital to flow massively across borders and people on drips.

Hi Saker, I guess by ‘well anonymized” you mean that even with your software the email didn’t come up…that means maybe that this ‘article’ was sent to you by the State department.
I agree totally, and I don’t even think the bear is really seriously in danger of its life, by being in a corner at this moment. Isn’t it typical of human beings to corner a bear and want to kill it ? How disgusting.
Anyway, I’m on your side.
Stavros, that’s interesting about Kissinger and that Polish counterpart of his…twins, in a way, although I have heard that Kissinger has been sidelined in favor of ugly…can’t quite remember the reason given, except that I don’t think Kissinger has ever been Russophobic.
In Putin’s autobiography,(an interview with him shortly after starting his first term as President) he talks about picking Kissinger up at the airport one time and having a nice chat with him in the car, on the way to the hotel. Kissinger is smarter than the others I guess. More modern in his thinking and less crazy.
Ii don’t know what else Kissinger has done because he was kind of before my time and hasn’t written an outrageous book about the Grand Chess Game. Yuck.
Ugly is definitely a tool of Ahriman. That’s the Persian name for Satan.
Kissinger, while not one of the batshit crazy Russophobes, is considered as a master of Realpolitik. He was tough but measured during the Cold War. He was an Imperialist thug alright (Vietnam, wanted to attack India in 1971, etc) but he is at least intelligent.
What Kissinger is most famous for, is for convincing Nixon to visit Mao’s China and ultimately cause China to behave in a manner beneficial to the US and harmful for the USSR.
Keep in mind that back then, cosying up to a major Communist state, and one that was in fact more dogmatic in her Communism than the USSR was a step that was beyond controversial.
This was very much a stroke of genius by Kissinger (from the US hegemonic view at least)
It is in fact this old suspicion between Russia and China that the Americans are counting on right now. But this is an extremely mistaken analysis on their part for several reasons.
Hi Love Government.
“Excellent psychological analysis. Fear produces hate. The fear is of falling; in this case, the Anglo-Zionist plan.”
Fear and Hate….two different emotions. Two different demons. Satan is connected with Fear. Lucifer is connected with Hate.
See the Life of Joan of Arc, by Joan Edmunds. Excellent book about the Hate factor in the west of Europe in the 15th century…
The brits, as usual trying to expand into France and what that would have meant for our times.
The trial of Joan of Arc was so similar to the lies that are prolific in the Untied States now.
But even after her fiery death, the impulse that she brought into the world worked on.
Now it has raised its ugly head again.
Sanjay, what a beautiful comment you gave Saker. I know you addressed Saker in asking for response, but my response to you is
Love you too !!

No, it is not just about old style nostalgia.
Last week state TV admitted, that meanwhile 71% of germans NO LONGER BELIEVE in the NATO lies as re-iterated day after day on all TV channels.
Also the alternative media get more and more attention from ex mainstream consumers.
There are pro-Russia pro-Peace demonstrations all over germany and Austria since April, but MSM claim they are run by some “insane conspiracy theorists and extreme right Nazis”. If you are against NATO — >> You are a Nazi. If pro-NATO —>> You are a democratic human rights activist. The biased distorted “reporting” about Ukraine vs. Russia made this clearer than ever before since 1945. Maybe not yet to everybody, but with exponential growth. All major (formerly famous) newspapers had to either disable their comments sections, or needed to hire an entire army of ProNATO trolls and censors. So the good news is: You are definitely wrong with your 75% estimate. In fact (I also have contacts to France and Spain) Russia has more admirers, friends and unpaid supporters in germany, than anywhere else in the God-damn EU.

I agree with you that Russia has far more mainstream zombies in Western Germany, than here in the East. But even there it has a lot of support.
The problem is: MSM never reports about our protests, and if yes, then only in the typical manner full of untrue lies.
And folks are busy enough trying to pay the daily bills! If you think germany is a paradise, think again.
I don’t know what else I need to tell you in order to convince you.
I agree with you, despite the little knowledge I have of internal German politics.
In fact, Edward Lucas (a well known rabidly Russophobic journalist – spy) regularly complains that attitudes in Germany are either too pro-Russian or mainly too neautrslist.
It is for this reason that the NATO-CIA axis has invested massively in promoting anti Russia propaganda in Germany as well as in other euroland countries that are in fact traditionally either neutralist or even somewhat pro Russian (like Greece, Cyprus and Serbia)
I can readily tell you that there has been a massive anti Russia propaganda campaign in Cyprus as well. This has been done through various means. There is at least one newspaper in Cyprus that is completely under the thumb of the CIA. They started publishing anti Russia propaganda regularly lately, but at the same time knew that they had to be careful since there is a very strong pro Russian current (mainly the AKEL left wing party which is very popular in the country, and one of the two right wing parties, the smaller of the two) Lately they have pulled back substantially, since the anti Russia BS they were spewing all the time caused complains from some readers etc. As for Greece, my impression is that at this point in time, there is zero chance of any type of anti Russia propaganda to gain any kind of traction. The economic crisis has really woken up the Greeks. The main pro American party in Greece (the supposedly social Democratic PASOK) that has ruled Greece for most of the post-Junta period has basically vanished from Greek political life. It used to receive well upwards of 40% in elections, now down to around 5% or so.
What I can also tell you about Cyprus, is that unfortunately our current government is fully under the thumb of the US and Israel. They have created an elaborate myth about Cyprus allegedly possessing vast quantities of offshore natural gas and the government has already signed several trilateral agreements with Israel and Egypt (no awards for guessing who has gotten the better deal) for the potential cooperation on energy matters.
Exactly as I predicted all along, it seems that there are no natural gas reserves of any significance and the whole thing was largely an elaborate hoax designed for four purposes that I can think of:
a) To create the impression that Russia and Cyprus are somehow rivals in the grand scheme of the energy markets (I am laughing hard while typing this)
b) So that our current treasonous government would not have to admit that harming Russian economic interests on the island was beyond idiotic and self defeating since there would arise a grand new opportunity for the island ‘s economy through the extraction of hydrocarbons.
c) So that Cyprus would more readily (and under worse terms) accept agreements with Israel for Israeli access to the Cypriot market and access to territorial waters.
d) To rile Turkey.
It was announced just yesterday that one of the supposedly most promising fields is basically void of any hydrocarbon reserves just as I expected.
So, to sum up. Propaganda is the very least that the AZs are willing to do in order to undermine Russia. They have played half of Ukraine’s population for total and complete fools, urged to sever their extensive ties with Russia for supposedly pursuing a European path (sic) and to top it all off, used them as a battering ram and cannon fodder against Russia as well as against their countrymen in the Donbass. In Cyprus, they promised vast riches (I can’t stop laughing at this) forced the government (a treasonous government I have to repeat) accept the “haircut” of bank deposits (which was a disaster for Russians and Cypriots alike) from the EU and IMF, The treasonous Cypriot government has basically beaten the hand that fed it. What the AZs are doing is sheer devilry and wickedness.

“the source said the US and Britain are looking at the new Al-Qaeda force as an instrument to attain their goals and do not intend to support them to ascend to power, “because if Salafi elements in Syria ascend to power, they will create many problems for the US, the Western states and Turkey in future”.
“Thus, the US, Britain and Turkey are looking at the Al-Qaeda as a tactical instrument,” he said, and warned of the regional and global repercussions of the US and Turkish aid to the Al-Qaeda and Salafi groups.
“Unfortunately, these group of countries have just focused on the short-term benefits that the Salafis and the Al-Qaeda can provide for them and ignore the perils of this support in the long run,” he said.
“At present, the western countries, specially Britain which hosts and controls the Jihadi Salafi groups throughout the world are paving the ground for these extremists to leave their homes – mostly in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as those who live in Europe and the US – for Waziristan,” the source added.

On the day Chechen terrorists took hostage of 500 civilians in
A Moscow theater, The headline of BBC was not about that but about sharp shooter terrorist being supposedly caught in Washington> In fact theirs Chechnya news was fifth in item(including head line) . These days at last the british media even say about Chechnya terrorist as terrorist otherwise 2 years ago they were always calling them freedom fighters(which they are -but that is another story). In fact the British media and england as a country had been actively supporting and giving material help to Chechnya terrorists aided by CIA and British spy and British media as well).
If you look at the report of British media then you realize the British involvement in terrorism by the Chechnya terrorists. When three multistory flats were wiped pout by terrorist in central Moscow a few years ago there was a glee in british reporting and a criticism of later security arrangemnt by Russian forces in Moscow. of course the British media would have been horrified and barking like a dog(which they are) if the Russians had decided to destroy Chechnya civilians as the Americans did in Afghanistan. Then you realize the humbug of British propaganda against terrorism-it is selective and meant to facilitate British infiltration in other countries, In fact the afganistan govt(after fall of Taliban) was opposed to british troops (after all Americans fought -what have British got to do with that ?)presence in Afghanistan-but arm twisting by british through American help ensures that British troops are there in Afghanistan they are foreign infiltrators and thus should be eliminated(they have less legal reason to be in Afghanistan than the soviets who had been primarily invited by the govt, of the day). the British involvement in international terrorism is not confined to against Russian interest only.

This will be just as with the “heroic Afghan Mujahideen” who began as “freedom fighters”, but who were then downgraded to “Islamic Fundamentalists”, then to “al-Qaeda terrorists” and now “ISIS Über-villans”.
No, those jihadists are simply anglo mercenary armies which get all money .support, arms from Anglos controlled west for last 3 years in Syria , Lebanon and Iraq.
Because Maliki did not grant immunity to terrorist anglo – american troops in Iraq they destabilised Iraq through their mercenary army called ISIS. Now they pretend otherwise.
Key members of ISIS it now emerges were trained by british and US CIA and Special Forces command at a secret camp in Jordan in 2012, according to informed Jordanian officials. The US, british ,Turkish and Jordanian intelligence were running a training base for the Syrian rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi in the country’s northern desert region, conveniently near the borders to both Syria and Iraq. Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the two Gulf monarchies most involved in funding the war against Syria’s Assad, financed the Jordan ISIS training.

Hi Anonymous blarring Mike Whiteneys trumpet.
Mike Whiteney writes a good piece from his desk in Oregon. But making an article on what Putin should have done and should do now is infantile.
I prefer this blog where Saker discusses many different pojnts and never pretends to “know better”…he questions Putin, but not in a arrogant way, just voices the options…
IN 2008 Russia and china had the opportunity to destroy IMF and world bank and the american -british system of looting the world ;but foolishly these two countries ,on prompting from parasite england, recommended IMF and world bank to lead new economic system! How stupid of these countries and that is why they never go up in world because of their stupidity.
therefore china and russia msut prepare for war which is coming there way-but thse stupiud countries are allowingf anglosaxon to win in libya andnow in syria on oen ptetext or another. russia and china msut arm all those who oppose anglosaxon evil empoire and must tsupport inssurrerection in england and usa then have those countries bombed.

Why did we think US would leave Afghanistan?? LOL
Much easier to keep an eye on Russia and China from the Eurasian landmass – all the more rapidly they can meddle in other nation’s business when the need arises. They can’t be guaranteed that a stable Afghan gov’t. can be trusted to do its bidding.
Plus what are they gonna do with those hundreds of bases? The airfields? The Afghans have an Air Force now? Shepherds and goat herders would live in those bases I bet, plus they can race their goats on the runway.
The only way the US leaves is if China Russia Pakistan get together and blast them out, at great cost to themselves.
Talbott is jockeying for position in the Hilary cabinet.
Also, a series of hot wars near and in Russian turf distracts from Israel’s war crimes.
Like the US, the crimes of war are so blatant, they need distractions or we’ll see Obama and Netanyahu in orange jumpsuits.

“Regardless of the accuracy of the above numbers”
If the numbers are to be disregarded why the length of exposition –
” It is amazing, quite amazing, the sheer depth of hatred of Russia in the western world. “
If
“All this is very subjective and intuitive” why cite numbers?
On the numbers what is the source/s and size of your datastream, the total populations of the states which you cite ergo the denomenators upoin which your per-centages are based, your collection techniques, your data validation techniques, your testing criteria, and your testing techniques?
“It is amazing, quite amazing, the sheer depth of hatred of Russia in the western world.”
The piece was written by Mr. Talbott whom in 1994 was Clinton’s advisor and “expert” on Russia.
In 1994 he and the administration were chastised by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for their “failure” in Russia, Harvard University lost their no bid contract as leading contractor for USAID and related “aid funded” programmes in Russia led by Mr. Sachs, and for a fleeting moment it was recognised that some of those who are now in leading positions in Russia had duped the US.
Included in the dupers was a certain Boris Nikolayevich Yelsin and some of his associates.
The good cop/bade cop games of Yeltsin/Zhirinovsky and Yeltsin/Zhuganov were productive.
Although the “facts” were mangled and continue to be mangled, this recognition is being resurrected –
http://www.nybooks.com/articles/archives/2014/dec/18/how-he-and-his-cronies-stole-russia/?insrc=whc
– Strobe Talbott and companions being put once more in the frame – similar narrative to how the US “lost” Vietnam.
Normal service was resumed after the 1994 Senate Foreign Relations Committee with changes in personnel and the opponents doubled their efforts leading to greater losses such as the 1998 Russian default.
Some of the opponents think that “history” is repeating itself and feel disorientated – hence the vehemance of the anger.
It might take a little longer but the cake lady’s wish will likely come true, but not in the way she probably imagined.
Saker, my idea about Vladimir Putin is, out of what ressources ever, he seems to be able, to do the political math in Mao’s way, discerning the contradictions, that are antagonistic from those, that are non-antagonistic.
Only thus, in my eyes, a leader is able, to do the timing, serving his people.
@It is amazing, quite amazing, the sheer depth of hatred of Russia in the western world
It wouldn’t be so amazing if we factor in the fact that the haters of Russia are, with no exception, Jews or shabbos goim. The hatred of Christianity was transferred to the people who still keep the hated Faith.
Some musings, gleaned from the net (from the horse’s mouth):
“Was it the age-old chain of abuses, the anguish of the Babylonian captivity, the humiliation of the ghetto, or the misery of the Pale of Settlement that had produced and forged that unquenchable thirst that was scorching the soul of the Bolshevik Lev Mekler?” (Yuri Slezkine, The Jewish Century, Princeton University Press, 2004, p. 197).
Most likely yes, all of the above. The Jews hated the gentiles. But they hated Russia a notch more because that was the face of the gentiles they knew. At the beginning of the 20-th century 60% of all the European Jews lived in Russia. And since most of them lived in Russia they hated Russia the most. Marxism is an apocalyptic religion. It expect the paradise on earth only after a cataclysmic event such as terror. Thus violence would usher in the new era. The accumulated hatred found a rationalization and an outlet.
“The gulf that severed Western Europe from Russia during the later half of the 19th century was dug and kept open chiefly by Jewish resentment of Russian persecution of the Jews. Yet the resentment sprang also from Jewish detestation of the Russian Holy Synod and the Russian Orthodox Church as survivals of medieval Christianity and as promoters of a crusade for the possession of ‘Tsarigrad’ (Constantinople) and of the Holy Places.” (Henry Wickham Steed, Through Thirty Years, Volume II, Doubleday, Page & Company, 1925, p. 391).
It is tempting to perceive the EU, and Germany in particular, as being coerced by the US into maintaining a hostile attitude to Russia against its own interests. One might even suspect that die arme Angela is even being blackmailed by those nasty Americans into acting against the best interests of her people.
An alternative view is provided by James Petras. In his recent article The Rise of German Imperialism and the Phony “Russian Threat” he portrays German foreign policy since the end of WW2 as being essentially a continuation, by other means, of the Nazi program of conquering all of Europe plus Russia. Some relevant extracts from this article:
Year by year, through ‘aid’ and low interest loans, the EU facilitated German capitalist’s market penetration and financial expansion, through out south and central Europe. Germany set the agenda for Western Europe, gaining economic dominance while benefiting from US subversion and encirclement of Eastern Europe, Russia and the Baltic and Balkan states.
German power expanded exponentially, with the annexation of the “other Germany”, the restoration of capitalism in Eastern Europe and the ascendancy of client regimes eager and willing to submit to a German dominated European Union and a US directed NATO military command.
While NATO expanded and enhanced the US military presence up to Russia’s borders, Germany became the continent’s pre-eminent economic power.
While President Bush and Clinton were heralding a “new world order”, based on unipolar military supremacy, Germany advanced its new imperial order by exercising its political and economic levers. Each of the two power centers, Germany and the US, shared the common quest of rapidly incorporating the new capitalist regimes into their regional organizations –the European Union (EU) and NATO– and extending their reach globally.
US-German military and economic dominance in Europe was premised on retaining Russia as a weak quasi vassal state, and on the continued economic growth of their economies beyond the initial pillage of the ex-communist economies.
Continued in Part 2.
Part 2:
German and the US empire-builders steamroll over dissenting voices in Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia, as well as Moldova and Bulgaria … But Germany’s, all out economic warfare against Russia takes precedent over the interests of its vassal states: its theirs to sacrifice for the ‘Greater Good’ of the emerging German economic empire and the US–NATO military encirclement of Russia. The extremely crude dictates of German imperial interests articulated through the EU, and the willingness of Balkan and Baltic regimes to sacrifice fundamental economic interests, are the best indicators of the emerging German empire in Europe.
The emergent of extremist, visceral anti-Russian regimes in Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania served as the forward shield for NATO advancement and German economic encroachment. Hitler’s ‘dream’ of realizing the conquest of the East via unilateral military conquest has now under Prime Minister Merkel taken the form of conquest by stealth in Northern and Central Europe, by economic blackmail in the Balkans, and by violent putsches in the Ukraine and Georgia.
The ‘Russian Threat’, the ideology driving the US and German offensive throughout Europe and the Caucuses, is a replay of the same doctrine which Hitler used to secure support from domestic industrial bankers, conservatives and right wing overseas collaborators among extremists in Ukraine, Hungary, Rumania and Bulgaria.
The US and Germany see the Ukraine conquest as of extreme value in itself but also as the key to launching an all-out offensive to strangle Russia’s economy via sanctions and dumping oil and to militarily threaten Russia. The strategic goal is to reduce the Russian population to poverty and to re-activate the quasi-moribund opposition to overthrow the Putin government and return Russia to permanent vassalage.
Wild-eyed fanatics they are not. But as rabid proponents of a permanent war to end Russia’s presence in Europe and to undermine China’s emergence as a world power, they are willing to go to the brink of a nuclear war.
The “Russian Threat” has become the war cry for cringing vassals – the phony justification for imposing frightful sacrifices to serve their imperial ‘padrones’ in Berlin and Washington – fearing the rebellion of the ‘sacrificed’ population. No doubt, under siege, Russia will be forced to make sacrifices. The oligarchs will flee westward; the liberals will crawl under their beds. But just as the Soviets turned the tide of war in Stalingrad, the Russian people, past the first two years of a bootstrap operation will survive, thrive and become once again a beacon of hope to all people looking to get from under the tyranny of US-NATO militarism and German-EU economic dictates.
James Petras’s article, The Rise of German Imperialism and the Phony “Russian Threat”, is an antidote to the mistaken view that Germany is basically an unwilling ally of the Anglo-Zionists in their war on Russia. Germany is as committed to the subjugation (if not destruction) of Russia as they are.
I disagree with this theory on multiple levels.
While it is true that several circles within the German elite are fiercely anti Russian, the truth is that Germany, until the past few months at least had a quite neutral stance towards Russia. Back in 2008, Germany and France basically vetoed the acceptance of Ukraine and Georgia into NATO. Mind you, they still oppose it. Several European countries were unwilling to introduce any serious sanctions against Russia (Germany, France, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Austria, Greece and Cyprus) German business were extremely vocal against any possible sanctions for months, something that annoyed the Americans immensely. Finally they were told to shut up. In fact right after the Crimea reunification, the chairman of Siemens was attending a business summit in Moscow where he praised Putin and voiced his opposition to any possible sanctions. The same can be said for several other European countries, leaders and businessmen.
We must note here that the EU was about to discuss the possibility of sectoral sanctions on July the 18th. Guess what happened a few hours before!!! Even so, the EU leaders of at least nine countries were still reluctant to impose any meaningful sanctions, despite the immense propaganda blitz after the MH17 false flag operation. For those who remember, the decision for finally imposing sectoral sanctions on Russia was taken only after a barely reported telemeeting between Obama, Merkel, Cameron, Holland and Renzi. Let your imagination work for a little bit as to what Obama might have told them.
If you want my opinion, the MH17 downing, was only partially aimed at demonizing Russia. For me its main purpose was to let the Europeans know how seriously the Americans were demanding the imposition of sanctions against Russia.
Now I am not saying that either Germany or France or Italy can be trusted by Russia, but this crisis was definitely not by their design. As for Merkel, I don’t think that she is a complete stooge, but is now very close to becoming one.
Having said that, it is true that in recent months, the Europeans, including the Germans have turned very hostile towards Russia. And this is a definitive indictment for the entire EU structure. The EU must simply be flushed down the toilet and swiftly end up where it deserves.
I will disagree with your theory on one more and very crucial point regarding Germany. A massive and completely ludicrous myth has been cultivated over Germany in recent years. The myth that Germany is somehow the undisputed master of Europe. This is total and complete nonsense. The master of Europe is very obviously the US. Germany is nowhere near enough powerful to dominate Europe, either in economic terms or demographic terms. This is mostly media hype because the Germans always make for good villains. This mythology has also gotten to the heads of the Germans themselves who are far less intelligent now than they were in the past.
Just a few facts about Germany, a country that many now are convinced is almost a superpower.
a) They are less than a sixth of the EU population.
b) Their economy is maybe a bit over 20% of the European one. A quite sizeable chunk but hardly dominant. France and the UK are not that far behind. To put it in another way, if you add up Spain and Italy, you get Germany’s GDP. What is noteworthy about Germany is that it is one of the very few rich world countries that still relies on a dominant manufacturing sector. The other two countries in this category are Germany’s little brother, Austria, as well as Germany’s former wartime ally, Japan. This is extremely crucial for anyone wishing to understand the world system. It is not accidental that the countries that were defeated in WWII have still not fully made the so called transition into a “service based economy” The reason is quite simple, the defeated powers (Germany, Japan and Italy) were largely stripped of imperial possessions after world War 2, but were at least given access to the world market by the victorious Americans. This simply means that these countries can’t make the easy money that countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, France the UK and above all the USA do. They have to rely on producing industrial and consumer goods for the world market. Can you name a German oil giant? Such thing does not exist. Does Germany have influence over the Gulf States like the UK, France and the US? Nope. Is frankfurt a financial centre such as new York, London or even Paris? Again no. People are confusing a successful export economy for imperial power.
c) Even within the European Union, Germany’s influence is greatly exaggerated by the press. They have been asking of France, Italy and Spain to reduce their fiscal deficits for years now. They are being ignored all the time. The ECB president, Mario Draghi, is now considering to completely ignore the Germans, Dutch and Finns and go ahead with the controversial policy of QE.
d) The eurozone economic crisis has also served to demonize Germany in most of Europe. To be honest, it is not their fault. But still, there is a very common perception in the European south that Germany is largely to blame.
e) Germany’s economy has not performed nearly as good as is almost universally believed. Growth has been extremely sluggish if one considers the average rate of the past few years. What makes Germany look quite good however is that the rest of Europe has fared abysmally in the same period. The German economy has performed broadly in line with Japan while the US has performed a little bit better from the rich world countries. Everyone else has performed absolutely horrendously in Europe.
So my point is that while I would not deny that Germany is a very crucial country, we should not fall for the sensationalist hype of the mass media. Germany remains an American poodle. A privileged poodle for sure, but still a poodle. This is not to say that Germany is absolved from guilt in the Ukraine tragedy, far from it, but an empire they are not.
There was a time when we Americans were programmed to live in fear of China — recall “The Yellow Peril”, the complement to “The Red Menace”. We also used to live in fear of “Red China”. Nixon ended that — Nixon and Kissinger.
Maybe the demonization of Russia is due to [Halford Mackinder](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halford_Mackinder)’s “Heartland” theory and the [“Great Game”](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Game).
Halford believed that Britain could dominate the world by dominating the “Heartland” — Russia. Today, the U.S. Empire lusts for the mineral wealth of Siberia. To obtain it, the U.S. must attack, conquer and dismember Russia. The vilification of Russia that is currently underway is intended to whip Americans into a maniacal war frenzy and stampede us into supporting the destruction of Russia.

Thanks for the information about Talbott and his ties to the C.F.R. and the Trilateralists.
Is it fair to say that Talbott is to the neo-libs what Kagan is to the neo-cons?
A few days ago, at reddit, I cited Talbott’s misanthropic prophecy, and mentioned the neo-con support group for Chechen terror. Now I’ve posted your commentary as well — with proper attribution, of course. I hope that’s acceptable.

Russia should prepare a foreign legion of hard core strong regiments who can go behind enemy lines and sort out murdock, abott and all war crminals like tony blair to justice. british have their own mercenaries – they are called ISIS and taliban. Why not Russia create an army of those who want to fight/kill on behalf of humanity , those war criminals who are at a large and whom Hague will not touch deliberately .
4th June, 2007.
President Putin is wrong when he says that russia should or will target the missile on europe if america goes with anti missile defence plan in Europe.
Russia with massive nukes must target england because this cold war -like the one before- is being started by england for the benefit of english race only-.it is race war between the english parasite race versus the rest of the world-the sooner the rest of the world realizes that better it is for the world.
look how Germany wes vilified soon after fall of soviet union-look how russia is being vilified immediately after Putin made russia strong.
in fact it was not America but england which asked for ABM against Russia. BBc spy journalists were harassing presidential candidate Gore not to go ahead with Florida recount on ground” ally like britian want to conclude AMB deployment in Yorkshire as soon as possible so there should be no delay in govt. formation.in other word accept fraudulent win of bush for sake of england ! “
-such is the evil propaganda of British spies inside america. .
poland is nothing but a proxy for the british bastards.
It is no use targeting Poland -target the main villain which is england and the english nation which must be stopped now.
Paul Craig Roberts weighs in on all the card being in Russia’s hands now

It is incorrect to suppose that Westerners hate Russians in any meaningful way. How could they? They know precisely squat about Russia. They simply hate whoever they are told to hate. That’s the essence of Western democracy.
That’s why the Talbot quote you provide is scary. The West is being prepared for war. What we are seeing is not some crackpot off-the-cuff scheme from the Nobel Piss Prize winner. We’re seeing the working out of a longstanding plan for global empire. Russia and China stand in the way. Russia and China must be destroyed as sovereign ethnic nation states, just as Europe, at the direction of its own elites, is committing self-genocide.
When the Anglo-Zionist pawns in Kiev, with the backing of all Western elites, talk about nuking Russians, they really mean it.

Putin just spent a day in Dagestan and had a long talk with the president (who he appointed) and forgave him an $800 million loan so could “pay State debts”
with it. As there is always some kind of unrest there, that must have been discussed.
Putin appointed Ramazan Abdulatipov early last year, and the parliament voted to accept him rather than hold an election. The country is modern enough to be able to do an internet survey of satisfaction with the government, while honour killings still occur regularly in the villages. Maybe they should offer to burn insurgents’ houses, here, too.
And stupid Russia approved unSc redolution to legitimise american occupation of afganistan !
Why does Rusdia not declare usa and england as terrorist states that they really are, and then wage wars on anglos eith support from rest of alliances ?
But for thay Russia has to take initiative rather thsn sit on her backside as she did after may 2013.syrian crisis.
First off Mr. Saker, the new reCAPTCHA is not an improvement. No indication comment accept for author approval.
My 3rd try:
Russia bashing is the flavor of the year. Dishonesty abounds. Imho, AZ media bashing of Mr. Putin is a distraction. Look over there and not here on our quadrillion of derivatives that will collapse. How about those Oil derivatives?
What media bashers fail to mention is that Russia is insulated. Do the math, observe the spread between the production costs in rubble but export priced in dollars; the benefits accruing to Russia.
FWMD is the term Warren Buffet used to describe the overhang of derivative instruments in the financial system.
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts may just be right.
Paul Craig Roberts – Russia To Unleash Ultimate Black Swan Against The West
Interview with KWN
Dr. Roberts: “I was listening to the news today and there were all these self-righteous people just happy as all get out that they had finally stomped Russia into the ground and ‘Russia is now finished,’ and Russia was broken and ‘would soon be an American vassal state where it belongs.’ And I was listening to this rot and got to thinking, ‘How can people be so utterly stupid?’ But they are, and they are just as stupid in Washington.
And in the meantime, as part of this process, Eric, we may see Russia unleash black swans that bring down the Western house of cards….
“Suppose the Russian government says, ‘Well, since the attack on the ruble is political and you guys are attacking the ruble and causing us so much trouble, we are just not going to pay off the next traunch of our debt that comes due early in 2015.’
Well, the European banking system would collapse because those banks are terribly undercapitalized. Some of them have loans to Russia that almost absorb the entire capital base. So the Russians don’t even have to default. They can just say, ‘We’re not going to pay this year. We will do it later. We’ll do it when the ruble stabilizes.’ (Laughter).

What AZ bashers fail to mention is that both Russia and (next in cue), China have are tidy shiny piles of insurance policies. Additionally AZ both USSA and UK are in serious hurt from their imposed sanctions on Russia.

Will be very interesting to see the Russia’s counter mover to the sanctions on Crimea and the assault by speculators on the rubble.
It appears to me that the Empire has sought to evoke military aggression from Russia for the past year, without any success at all.
Lately it seems that the Empire has sought to drop Russia economically, so far without much success.
Paul Craig Roberts suggests in a recent interview that Russia is in a position to “release black swans,” and that Putin holds all the cards at this point.
So the Empire wants Russia to make the first overt move, either military or economic, so it can be blamed for the ensuing crisis.
Man, this place is crazy…
John
I would not say that Putin holds all the cards, but he has definitely saved his ammo while the west I think have fired their best shots.
Russia can cause her enemies some very serious trouble if and when she chooses. It will be risky, but it may prove unavoidable.
Another factor here is that in my view Putin will not attempt any serious moves without consulting the Chinese first.
But in any case,Russia has several aces up her sleeve. They can selectively default on their loans, especially if the Ukies default on their loans to Russia first. So the EU will probably have to pay Ukraine so that Ukraine can pay Russia. Which is fun! If Russian corporations (the Russian state owes the west virtually nothing) give the finger to the west, then expect a panic of grand proportions in western financial markets. Russia can also sell advanced weaponry to Iran or Syria or to any number of countries that fear an American attack. Russia can also play the dirty game of supporting terrorists against her enemies.
Russia can also encourage emerging world markets of abandoning the dollar during the next financial implosion which cannot be too far away. This is in fact quite a distinct possibility, especially if China and the Arabs go along with it. Under such a scenario, many more will inevitably follow.
But the one thing that will instill sheer terror in the hearts of the Empire, is if Russia and China enhance their cooperation on all levels.
I have always found in this confrontation something evil: their Russophobia, their vindictivenes, their stubburness in cheating, their cowardly accusation. In Catholicism, when someone has these negative traits we would recommend an exorcism: the power of Christ to destroy the false reality created by the evil one. While the Latin exorcism can be done only by priests, in any other language can be done by Christians. How about exorcizing UK, US, and Canada?
Many Russians still harbor ambitions/delusions to become part of the West as an equal partner, or even to partake of the West’s rape of the planet.
They want to be Westerners.
But now that Russia is on the receiving end of what the Western “civilized” world has been inflicting on non-Western world for centuries since at least 1492, Russia is getting a much needed wake-up call.
They need to face the reality of Western values:
Aggression, colonialism, exploitation, and White supremacy–all disguised behind the greatests of lies about championing human freedom and liberty.
That’s what Western Civilization represents.
The West is malignant to the core.
They are a plague on the planet.
And it’s long overdue that it be treated as such.
I completely agree with everything you say there except one thing. The white supremacist part.
Part of the west’s ideology nowadays, is multiculturalism and the like. In fact interracial relationships are presented as somehow superior to indoracial ones. I am not against interracial relationships of course, but if you have not noticed, the ruling ideology today presents them as well as some ethnic minorities as somehow more noble or more fun than more traditional arrangements.
In fact, not even the Nazis were white supremacists. They have killed more white people than anyone I can think of. They were just self serving, as is the west today.
And in fact, if you look at things today, who is the west’s bette noir? It is Russia which is probably more “white” than any Western country.
Just imagine if the obscenities that are being written daily about Russia were being said about an African or an Asian country. The PC brigade and all the “good liberals” would be up in arms. But against Russia, everything is acceptable.
UNTHINKABLE 1945 / 2015 … ?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unthinkable
Operation Unthinkable was a code-name of two related plans of a conflict between the Western Allies and the Soviet Union. Both were ordered by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1945 and developed by the British Armed Forces’ Joint Planning Staff at the end of World War II in Europe.
The first of the two assumed a surprise attack on the Soviet forces stationed in Germany in order to “impose the will of the Western Al…

Germany’s Steinmeier fears sanctions could destabilize Russia

That is the goal of Nazi-Natost
To isolate, destabilize and wipe Russia off the map
Dear Saker
CAPTCHA is too comlicated
After all the sanctions, the collapse of oil prices and of the ruble, after endless threats from the U.S., why the hell hasn’t Putin kicked out the American ambassador (who by the way specializes in toppling governments).
The complete lack of decisions, reactions by Putin are somewhat pitiful.
Oh… but he is “in love”… well, maybe thats a huge problem for Russia.
BTW,
You aren’t basing anything on Yahoo comments, are you? That would be fairly absurd.
As for your numbers, do you really think 50% of French hate Russia? Really? Ten years ago, Russia had reasonable relations with Germany, France, and Italy. All that changed is the media got more hostile and the Anglo-Americans drove out some politicians.
I wish that Putin would do some of the things PCR and others recommend but he doesn’t seem to have the strength to be able to pull the trigger.
This is a winner take all conflict and any hesitation to act is seen as weakness.
The Russian economy is being broken on the wheel of Western financial manipulation and Putin talks of waiting two years for some imagined turnaround.

Biker leader of the Night Wolves, Alexander ‘The Surgeon’ Zoldstanov got sanctioned………they brought some humanitarian aid a few days ago. He had more than 100 people to ring him with congratulations. It is starting to be a badge of honour to be sanctioned.
“… if Russia prevails in her defense against the AngloZionist Empire this will mean the end for the latter.”
That’s a notion where I think many are indeed wrong, since the Russian government doesn’t want to destroy or crush anybody. Putin wants to change the geopolitical configuration of the world so that there is no hegemony anymore, but this doesn’t mean that he wants to destroy the USA or the EU.
He wants them to accept that they can’t bully the world anymore, so the smart thing to do is to apply enough pressure on them to accept this while not completely cornering them.
So no, he wont bring down the worlds financial system, even though Russia and China could in a blink of an eye. Instead they apply pressure so that the IMF, World Bank and the current financial system will be changed.
An no, Russia will not support separatism in the US or send any kind of weapons or terrorist over there, because how would it help them achieve their vision of a multipolar world by instigating civil war and chaos in the US. Also, this would be highly immoral. I doubt that Putin would allow this after his experiences in Chechnya.
There are two mayor problems for Russia with causing any kind of chaos for the US:
1) A cornered US might do insane things.
2) The US Hegemony has so many military bases on this planet from where it controls most countries. If the US draws its military back in an uncontrolled fashion wars will break out all over the world, since many countries were forced into certain positions and will want to have revenge. Take the balkans for example. No one knows what would happen, if the US and EU were to completely pull out tomorrow, but probably we’d end up with a new war. The same will probably apply to many countries on many continents that had to accept some dictat that the US forced upon them after a conflict with a neighbor.
The world has to be reordered in a peacful, diplomatic and controlled way.
When we say that we want the ANGLO-AMERICAN EMPIRE destroyed we don’t mean that those countries should not exist, but rather their imperial function should be destroyed. The Empire on the other hand wants Russia destroyed as a country, even as a people.

Be patient the final word is coming……….and just simply trust Putin, he knows very well what does he doing to save not just Russia, but the all world from this tyrany
@It is tempting to perceive the EU, and Germany in particular, as being coerced by the US into maintaining a hostile attitude to Russia against its own interests…
An alternative view is provided by James Petras.
Another one offered by Thaddeus Hildebrand @ /www.nolanchart.com/jews-hate-russia#comments:
“In Germany and Austria-Hungary before WWI the Jews were the most ardent pan-Germanists. They hated Russia. Karl Marx was no exception. He even advocated a war against Russia. It became the policy of the German Marxists and socialists. Towards the end of the war the Germans smuggled Bolshevik revolutionaries including Lenin into Russia. When Russia became Marxist the German socialist masses had no further reason to hate Russia. Yet the hate persisted. So the German Marxism morphed into National Socialism. The new sect hated the old one, it hated Russia, it hated the Bolsheviks, and thus it had a new reason to attack Russia. Adolf Hitler was consumed by hatred of Russia. The Jews in America today play the same role as the Jews in Germany before WWI.

In Germany and Austria-Hungary before WWI the Jews were the most ardent pan-Germanists. They hated Russia with extreme virulence”. Etc…

“We think we are the heroes, setting out with brave hearts to confront the Dark Lord, and free the saintly Ukrainians from his wicked grasp.
This is all the most utter garbage. Since 1989, Moscow, the supposed aggressor, has – without fighting or losing a war – peacefully ceded control over roughly 180 million people, and roughly 700,000 square miles of valuable territory.
The EU (and its military wing, Nato) have in the same period gained control over more than 120 million of those people, and almost 400,000 of those square miles.”

Merry Christmas,

yes, the mail, cant quite believe it has this.well said Peter.
Peter Hitchens has never hidden his admiration for Putin and sympathy for Russia.
It was funny when he tried to explain to a British audience that Russia is not an idea, but a country.
It’s funny how many people in the west can’t get their heads around that fact.
I think that Russia has benefited and will benefit even more by ridding herself from countries like Poland and Romania. A bit like the Italians in both world wars it’s better to have them as enemies than as allies.
M. K. Badrakumar wrote about this same piece from a Indian perspective, calling Tabott “a seasoned ideologue with killer instinct”:
“In sum, Talbott visualizes Russia’s imminent dismemberment, and he is apparently delighted that he’d live to see it happening. His tone of triumphalism is unmistakable. This is a chilling prognosis by a former US deputy secretary of state in the Bill Clinton administration. What India needs to take note is that Talbott doesn’t bother to conceal that external forces would have a role in stoking violence in Chechnya and this “resurgence of unrest” will have links to the Islamic State.”
In Sweden, the “Russia-hate-o-Meter” surely has reached record levels. In addition to the ubiquitous old-school haters of russia, left-wing extremists and communists hate Putin and now these are joined by many nazis and the main stream.
On the other hand, quite a few people also seem to doubt the official narrative and to think that the russia-bashing is a bit exaggerated. The Swedish society seems to be split not just between the traditional left/right, but now also between belief/disbelief of the official “part line” in MSM.
