Actually, there is some very serious stuff taking place – infighting in the Novorussian leadership is getting worse and worse but I need time to write up something more or less coherent. So that is for later today or tomorrow.
In the meantime, here are a few short ones:
The BBC is the best!
I saw the following to on the BBC’s website yesterday:
“This was ferocious work, involving more precise firepower than the rebels could possibly muster. It’s possible Russian helicopters were involved“. This is priceless. Apparently, nobody in the UK (or in the Ukraine) ever bothered to explain to this civilian that all it takes is a recon group with an artillery spotter and a single MLRS strike to achieve exactly what he saw. Also, apparently nobody explained to that presstitute that this combo is exactly how the NAF managed to beat the crap of the JRF. But the best part is the “possible Russian helicopter”, especially the typical modern use of the word “possible” which in modern zombified parlance is always understood as equivalent to “probable”. I wish that somebody would tell the BBC that a Russian helicopter attack would do far *less* damage than a MLRS strike, but that is not the point. The point is that if the presstitute accepts that a helicopter strike is possible, why not a Russian bomber strike or even cruise missile strike? Why not accept that the Russians, who apparently have a Romulan-style “cloaking device” on their *19* maneuver battalions in Novorussia (official figure from Kiev!), also could use space-based death ray powered by a “dilithium crystals converter”. This is just as “possible” as the use of Russian attack helicopters, even though neither are probable.
I also notice the doubleplusgoodthinking use of “Luhansk” rather then the crimethink “Lugansk”. How totally lame…
The BBC is still the best!
And then I also saw this one:
Yup! They did write it: Obama will send in “3,000 troops, to help fight the virus”. Yes, I know what they meant by that, but look what Josetxo sent me this morning (-: apparently, he reads my mind :-)
This is just so typical. It is like when the Americans finally figured out that the Chinese were doing big business in Africa. Instead of trying to complete with them, they created AFRICOM. So yes, these guys really only see nails everywhere.
Okay, now I need to dwell on the bad news out of Novorussia. Hopefully I will get another post up later today.
Cheers,
The Saker
PS: if I remember correctly, when Star Trek was created the Klingons were suppose to represent the Chinese while the Romulans were Russians. If so, then it is only fitting to suspect Russia of having developed a “cloaking device” for her armed forces.
Still, to much credit to the hapless clown Barrack Banananas.
Harry Belafonte was right, these are shameless, Teleprompter reading housen*ggers and insults to black folks, albeit a homosexual one married to a drag queen. His white masters should have all the credit for this, Obozo is just a token face..
Mikhas.
Four interesting news items here of the non-propaganda variety:
First, a German fraud investigation company, Wifka, has offered $30 million for information on who shot down the plane, who gave the order, how it was actually done and what happened to those involved.
http://en.itar-tass.com/world/749992
Secondly, “Russian reserves right to respond immediately if Kiev, Brussels fail to comply with the agreement on postponing the enactment of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU”
http://en.itar-tass.com/russia/749989
And finally, both of these items, if true, put paid rather conclusively to the comment someone made (I’m sorry, I forget whom) about the Russian need for German engineering expertise. Far, far more significantly, however, they have the potential to resolve some of the worst problems facing us in the future: the need for water, the need for safe, clean energy, and the need for proper storage of spent nuclear fuel. Mr. Nora is too busy right now to take a look and this stuff is waaaaay beyond my ken, but I tend to think neither of these would be announced if there weren’t some solid work done substantiating the claims made. (The water one looks more prospectus/promise-y but the breeder reactor stuff, if that is true — Just. Plain. WOW. !!!)

Saker: Talking about propaganda. Many times when I visited some website kind of “inadvertently” appear at the sid of the screen the next legend: “3000 Russian soldiers are in the frontiers with Finland/Sweden ready to attack” I do not care to open that message but of course contributes to the hysteria of “some” Scandinavian countries and Russia. By the way the right wing government in Sweden lost the elections and that means that Carl Bildt is gone (at least for a while) my guess is that he will get a high position with the NATO, who knows. Not sure that the new government will do much better (concerning Russia) they (supposedly) left wing have blocked the “Vänster” Party which is really opposed to NAZTO or any kind of intervention so I do not think they will be much better than the right wing government that lost elections.
The Right Sektor continue to terrorize Poroshenko deputy here in this video from Kiev.
Given Nato escalation in Syria & Ukraine, we will soon know the real truth … on the colossal question often in the back of minds here, whether Henry Kissinger’s strangely frequent contact and ‘good friend’, Vladimir Putin, was and is a sell-out who is about to betray Assad in Syria, East Ukraine (Donbass-Novorossiya), and also Iran …
The current status quo, a tragic ‘muddle-through middle’ with tens of thousands dead and continuing to die in both Novorossiya and Syria, will not be viable much longer … so in fact we do have need, as Putin’s parliamentary ally Evgeny Fedorov says, of ‘The Coming Purge’ in Moscow, where an allegedly non-NWO Putin would decapitate his 5th column traitors, so he can secure Donbass & protect Assad as well …
If Putin does not successfully defend Assad, or if he lets Novorossiya continue to hemorrhage in failed-state mode, then we are in truly deep shite on this entire planet.
At the moment the death and chaos in Ukraine / Novorossiya, is entirely consistent with (tho not proving) the ‘Putin is NWO’ theory. Whether Putin abandons or preserves Assad, as Obama gets ready to bomb Syrian positions, may be the more immediate ‘proof point’ where we clearly see the true colours of Putin.
Thanks, Saker, for the laugh. I needed that.

PART 1
Nah- Klingons (heavy drinking and quick to brawl) are obviously the Russians, while the Romulans- direct relatives of the ‘inscrutable’ Vulcans, are clearly the Chinese. Trivia fact: in Season Two of the original Star Trek, the Romulans appeared using Klingon vessels. Why? Because the original Romulan ship design from the earlier season had been designed and built by a non-union independent contractor, and Jewish controlled Hollywood Unions refused to allow the studio to use the non-Union model in subsequent Seasons.
The BBC prides itself on having senior management entirely dominated by Jews, out of all proportion to the percentage of Jews in the general British population. Many people know the BBC as the JBC.
But the reality of the BBC goes far beyond this issue. The BBC is actually the propaganda arm of what is commonly known as MI5/MI6- and was created to be such in the early part of the 20th Century before the British Intelligence services even carried these monikers.
During the infamous Miners Strike that pitted Arthur Scargill against Margaret Thatcher (and ultimately led to the creation of ‘New Labour’ that gave the world the Demon Tony Blair- the monster at the forefront of the troubles in Gaza, Syria, Nigeria, Iraq and Ukraine) the BBC ran a relentless campaign of lies and spin to destroy the last powerful private sector working-class union in the UK.
In the most sickening case, the BBC released a major news report showing miners attacking mounted police- a report that was immediately proved to be utterly FAKE- because the BBC had actually edited the timeline to reverse events on the video. In reality (and reported the next day across the media outlets of Britain) the police had launched an unprovoked attack against the miners.
But the propaganda experts at the BBC know it doesn’t matter if they are even exposed the very next day. Their target audience is the legion of dribblers who trust every word dripping from the lying lips of the zionist filth that front their news output. The BBC doesn’t seek to influence independent thinkers or the informed- it leaves that job to other zionist propaganda outlets, like the ‘proper’ newspapers (Times, Guardian, Telegraph and Independent).
Edward Bernays (the Jewish propaganda guru that Nazi Goebbels worshipped as a god) said that you should tailor your propaganda to specific groups, rather than try a “one size fits all” approach. But shill outlets never tell you that this is how effective propaganda techniques work.
Part 2:
Most of you visit here, for instance, because you like the message. What too many of you fail to realise is this very fact makes you super prone to tailored propaganda. Your barriers are down when someone is telling you something you approve of.
For instance, it is now a completely obvious fact that Putin made an unforgivable mistake by listening to the traitors in his midst, and not sending in the peacekeepers into East Ukraine on day one. Yet you will notice certain ‘personalities’ still selling the line that Putin is a genius for ending up in the current situation.
Novorussia is on the verge of a massive new attack by rested and resupplied neo-Nazi forces from Kiev- newly supplied with NATO weapon systems and NATO mercenaries. Horrific new sanctions are waiting to strike Russia when Russia does anything in response. Obama is planning to immediately enter Syria and destroy the Assad regime the moment Russia formally enters East Ukraine.
Had Putin gone into East Ukraine on Day One, there would have been no war- no widespread death and destruction. The initial burst of sanctions would be fizzling out by now, and their could have been no escalating program of sanctions. Ukraine would have now PEACEFULLY divided into new nations, and Novorussia would have had true independence.
Instead, Putin listened to the traitors. Now Russia can certainly thrash around with its military might, but by doing so it meets the needs of Demons like Blair, and risks aiding the start of WW3.
And the BBC? Well its zionist scum understand full well how successfully Putin has been led into this trap. So they can happily travel across Ukraine, causing as much basic mischief as they desire. They know if they successfully rouse the ‘Bear’, Novorussia is saved, but Russia then sinks even faster in an even more deadly quagmire.
Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t- that’s the situation the monsters of the West always seek to create for their ‘enemies’. And this requires persuading their enemies NOT to act decisively in the first place.
And, the BBC fellow obsesses about the destruction of materiel but utters not a word about the destruction rained down on Luhansk civilians and their homes and hospitals and daily-life infrastructure. Who dun that? BBC not interested. Maybe he never actually entered the city?
Around a 1000 troops to fight ISIS in Iraq and 3000 troops to fight a virus in Africa. Or should that be around 1000 troops to support their ISIS pawns in Iraq in their attacks on Syria and Iran and 3000 troops in Africa to help their manufactured Ebola virus spread where they want it spread?
вот так
ha ha! I have to put up with the BBC I livein UK, actually they make some good TV but the news is horrendous, I de-apped some time ago and never watch their TV ‘news’ but seriously it is a MASSIVE problem here, not just BBC, the Guardian can usually be relied upon but they have been terrible, lazy, unquestioning reportage of the whole situation in Ukraine, I have actually complained a couple of times and posted links of good articles, or shall we say, more objective sources. It’s a tough nail to crack but we have to accept that BBC are in the pockets of the Torys for now and the whole US/NATO scaremongering is working a treat .. very few people have a clue what the truth is, they dont even understand the whole Nuland, US coup scenario .. its just those ‘bad’ Russians=cold war 2.0
Hi Saker
I have to confess that the intricacies of Russian internal politics are largely a mystery too me.
I did wonder when I read the story today about the house arrest of Vladimir Yevtushenkov, whether this was any part of the move against the 5th column and if so how it fits into it.
Thanks
Klingons were the Germans, who had not been completely castrated yet in the 1960’s.
@Nora 17 September, 2014 16:28:
Someone may have already responded, but I’m pretty sure it was the Saker himself who said that Russia needed German engineering expertise.
The stories you posted demonstrate that the Russians are technically skilled, which they are and always have been. Rather, the comment earlier was about the lack of Russian skill in production quality, at least that’s how I read it. The Germans and especially the Japanese are extremely skilled in process engineering, attaining incredibly low failure rates in automated production lines and in maintaining consistency in finished product.
This is an area the Russians, and previously the Soviets, were notoriously bad in. Getting the level of quality control from an industrial process seen in the West is something which has largely eluded the Russians’ skill set. They’ve gotten better, but they still are more creative than consistent.
Further to Nora, 17 September, 2014 16:28
Russia and China, to the extent that they can create a not NWO controlled zone, have the potential to trump the suppression of many important, beneficent technical, energy and medical breakthroughs that implemented would threaten the cash flow and other aspects (say created scarcity) of the ways and means of the ‘Powers That Should Not Be’. (James Corbett uses this latter description a lot)
And also, these two countries could take the lead in creating an umbrella for those who develop new wonders that are outside the Empire’s control.
Imagine….
@Anonymous PART 1 and 2
The argument that if Putin had acted as peacekeeping enforcer at the beginning of the attack on Novorussia all would be well now, or things would be much better, is based upon conjecture, guessing. It is merely an opinion that cannot be proven or disproved.
To put this guessing about what might have been into the form of a series of accusative assertions, as though one were dealing with obvious facts, is an inflammatory and dishonest form of second guessing.
The attempt by the global Empire/Hegemonic-Wannabees to weaken and subjugate Russia predates by far events in Ukraine, and would continue in any case, outside of Earth colliding with planet xyz, or Yellowstone volcano suddenly doing its thing, or some other dramatic planetary or cosmic event.
The situation is complex. For example, there are many nuclear power plants in the Ukraine and region, hundreds of nuclear power plants in Europe, Russia and North America, and each of these requires continuing functionality. Each is a potential catastrophe. Fukushima, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island are prominent examples of extreme dysfunction.
Putin has many things to consider, ranging from clear to nearly opaque, and with a nod to lurking significant-it-turns-out unknown unknowns.
Just like behdadings happen to occur precisely when they are most convenient for the designs of US foreign policy, the Ebola virus in Africa just happens to pop up precisely where most of the African offshore oil is. Thus the usefulness of US troops multiplies wherever they go.
http://philosophyofmetrics.com/2014/09/16/ebola-and-west-africas-offshore-oil/
$30mn bounty set to identify who shot down MH17 in Ukraine
Have no idea what to make of it. Yes the US has paid bounties.. BUT.. did they actually pay them? How do we know? They get new id’s and stuff so they are never found again. And money for nothing to the US and reps are free.. Kind of like some of the hijackers who lived on US military bases.. Poof!
Any radical reform that Putin envisages is more easily implemented behind broad public support and social cohesion. The pitiless war against Novorussia and the shrill lunatic-like denunciation of Russia by the Empire’s organs and vassals and flunkies have strengthened Russian solidarity.
The Russian Quislings, and western and indigenous social-cancer operators within Russia, seem weakened and exposed.
Putin has taken Russia from the social disintegration and chaos of the Yeltsin years, and in the face of boundless “International Community’ pathology, to a vastly improved situation.
Well, I am pretty sure that anti-semitism is a much more compelling threat than ebola. If you live in the US or certain Euroland nations, you know that anything deemed remotely insensitive or offensive to a particular tribe will be branded anti-semitic and even a criminal offence. I read on RT for instance that Bumbling Joe (Biden) was singled out for discipline by the anti-defamation league for using the word “shylock.” I await news of his forthcoming profuse grovelling apology. We are living in very demoralising times, whereby the few with influence have taken complete control over political, social, and legal institutions for their own selfish and idiosyncratic whims. I am 100 percent certain that this comment will be regarded as anti-semitic, because the truth hurts.
I have said before and will say again that BBC and all british english media are british spy agencies and thus enemies spies therefore all british journalists of spy type must ba caught and killed there and then.
BBC = Brit Bollix Corporation
Sadly though, much of the British MSM seems to be going in the same direction nowadays. Even The Guardian’s coverage of Ukraine/Russia has been, by and large, a disgrace. At least they still have Seamus Milne and John Pilger… for now.
I just want to ask all the Putin-bashers here a few questions.
If Putin is really in so thick with the NWO, then:
1.) Why do they want to overthrow/assassinate him so bad?
2.) Why does their media represent him as the Antichrist?
3.) Why do they keep trying to encircle Russia with NATO, and ring it with ABMs and bases?
As far as the accusation that he ‘sold out’ Novorossiya and Syria is concerned, I’ll believe it when it happens. Despite everything Washington has yet thrown at them, they’re still here. Yes, times are tough. But up till now at least, Russia has always backed them up when they needed it. Maybe not the way YOU would want, but as Saker has pointed out on several occasions, that may simply be because Putin has more knowledge of these situations than we do. I am not insisting that he’s infallible, or that he can’t possibly lose. I am just saying that, so far, he has completely frustrated Washington’s ambitions in these two theaters. So I believe that, for now, he deserves a certain presumption. One thing I am not at this time prepared to do, is to question his loyalty to Russia and its national interests.
It’s strange that I would have to play the role of the ‘putinbot’ at a forum like this, but so be it.
This republication of an item by Chomsky goes a long ways in explaining “Why Americans Know So Much About Sports But So Little About World Affairs,” http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article39688.htm
It takes a lot of effort to stay informed. Most fundamentally, one must WANT to be informed. One MUST also be capable of facing and acknowledging truths/facts they aren’t comfortable with that usually are a result of prior indoctrination.
The Romulans had to be based on the Romans. Some of the terms they use such as “praetor” are taken from Rome. The klingons always seemed to me based on the Mongols but I suppose the Chinese are a possibility.
Anonymous 17:04,
I think you’re raising some very important points, especially as regards propaganda specifically designed to reach one group or another. Because yes, that is something to which each of is always extremely vulnerable.
But you know, there’s a really simple solution. It’s a good habit to develop and it gets easier every time you do it — treat everything you hear and read with *precisely the same* degree of skepticism.
Yeah, you like some stuff better but so what? That doesn’t mean it’s true, it could just as easily mean that someone knows quite well how to play on your prejudices. Otoh, why not merely, what, enter the data and then either wait for events to confirm it, or else dig around — on both sides of the issue, mind you — for genuine, verifiable facts as opposed to endless repetitions of the same stale allegations. That way, you’re far less likely to get played.

Excellent point! And I hope this will be as true of the manufacturing and pharmaceutical sector as (we hope) of the financial sector. I am reminded of a film, really fascinating, “Who Killed the Electric Car.” Very good technology for a working electric car existed a couple of decades ago. But these prototypes, out on the road and doing well, were sought out and literally crushed by their maker. Anyone who tried to keep one was liable for legal action. One physicist interviewed described how the patents for a breakthrough battery were bought up by I think GE (could be wrong about that) and buried forever—taken away from the real world so that it could never be put into production. A salutary example of threatening breakthroughs that were “disappeared”–not that different from people who are “disappeared” for threatening the status quo of ideas.
BTW this film is really very entertaining, handled like a class murder mystery. There are many links to it, and here is one:

As the certain anniversary is approaching Sept 18, the above essay by Wolfgang Strauss is worth reading:
Excerpt:
…. Long before the last Tsar left the throne, the old Russian Empire was in decline, the revolution was coming, the apocalypses of February and October 1917 could not have been prevented. They were determined as if by a world court. Only a legend, Solzhenitsyn says, and this chapter in his book, a noir-thriller, illuminates 18 September 1911 – a day that heralded the approach of the Great Terror in that it dimmed the last opportunity to prevent it.
They had tried to assassinate Petr Stolypin eight times. Various terrorist groups had attempted to murder Stolypin and his family, but they had never succeeded in killing the man who had set governmental direction in the decade before the war nor in tarnishing his reputation and charisma. The “Russian Bismarck,” as he was called, had, as an unassuming Christian and self-confident first servant of the Russian Empire, led his country into the modern age by introducing agrarian reforms and representative self-government that made individual enterprising farmers out of the backward villagers. The eighth attempt, however, on 18 September 1911 in the Kiev Opera, succeeded in ending the life of the great reformer who had served his country as minister president and minister of the internal affairs. Ninety years later Solzhenitsyn was to write:
“The first Russian premier minister, who had honorably set the task of establishing equal rights for Jews and had even opposed the Tsar in attempting to realize it, was killed at the hands of a Jew. Was it an irony of history?” (p. 431)…

What you all are saying is very true, years ago when Ray McGovern was cia on the Russian watch he told his superiors if Russia and China ever get close together than you kiss it good bye. Their comment was they are fighting against one another it will never happen. RM pointed in the story even through they were fighting one another the never stop talking to one another.
China learned from what not to do when Japan rose to the top manufacturing but in the long run have only few companies that create new idea at the edge.
China sent brightest students around the world for their education with many coming to Amerika. Then China has become the manufacturing center of the world with that high speed trains, planes thanks to boeing deal on parts for the dream (nightmare) liner, servers that Russia just purchased with both counties working on the software. All of this is tech transfers with the young people with skills and training they received in the West. I think along Pepe and others the great transfer of the above will be the end of the Amerikan empire.
China does have its problems both with joining forces with Russia and the BRIC it will be a bump ride for them but their going up, the bumpy ride for the West is the slide down the path of the unknown and it will not be fun for us on Main Street.
On an even lighter note
(from your western partners):
“On April 17, 1940 the commander of the French Levant Army, General Maxime Weygand, assured the defense minister in writing: ‘The preparations for the bombing of the Caucasian oil fields have progressed so far that one can calculate the time in which to conduct this operation is possible . Prudence requires that this operation does not commence before the end of June or beginning of July [1940]. ‘”

I am constantly amazed at the incredibly depth of understanding and keen insight that the commentators in the comment section here provide. From the very get go on day one.
What Anonymous said about Putin making a tactical error by not “solving” the Eastern Ukraine problem at the very beginning hits the nail on the head.
While I greatly admire President Putin, he too is human (a bit too trusting of the West). He made the tactical mistake of not responding immediately to the referendum in Eastern Ukraine like he did with Crimea. Of course, Russia would have been put through the ringer for taking back South Eastern Ukraine, but we would not be where we are today which is a very dangerous situation both in Eastern Ukraine and Syria.
The other comment by jo5pac about China really nails it too. As a native Chinese, if I didn’t know that things are going to end with WW3, I probably would have returned to my native China with my 20+ years of engineering knowledge, know-how and experience gardnered from the United States plus my extensive geopolitical understanding, but instead I have sought greener pastures in Argentina and far away from the hell that is coming.
Speaking of Star Trekian races…
I always thought the Romulans were Chinese and the Clingons were Ottoman/Vikings.
And Cardassian were Serbs or sometimes Israelis while the Bajorans were Bosniaks or sometimes Palestinians.
While Ferengi were greedy Jews and Vulcans were Torah Jews.
Then there was that Nordic orgy planet populated by Swedes. I spent a lot of time thinking about that planet in my youth. Afterwards too.
Of course you are a Troglyte while the Anglo-Zionists are Sky people.
Oh and the Borg collective is obviously Google while The Borg Queen is what Ray Kurzweil wishes he could be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Star Trek was the ultimate tool for brainwashing my generation. It’s only now that I’ve begun unravelling the deeper pro Empire and techno Utopian agenda.
Welllll, this may be your non-BBC propaganda of the day. From Wikipedia, on the Scottish Referendum:
“It has been argued that while Scotland is currently guarded by a fleet of British warships and submarines, the departure of Trident can leave Scotland open to a naval invasion, for example by a country with a history of “military adventurism” such as Russia [109] , which at present sails its submarines into Scottish waters on a regular basis. A hypothetical invasion has been mentioned in a leaked recording by two Russian ambassadors. [110] The Russian media has shown significant interest in the Referendum [111], while a government TV station aired an interview with a Scottish man of Russian origin who allegedly became a member in a pro-independence military resistance named similar to those in Eastern Ukraine. [112]”
The BBC is so relentlessly filthy, biased, mendacious and hypocritical as to almost be beyond belief. Yet, at the same time, they still arrogantly pose as ‘truth-seekers’ and honest journalists without an agenda. Like all other organs of power in the West they are deep into worship of the Holy West, the USA and Israel above the rest. The coverage of the Scottish referendum has been, naturally, repulsively biased, the Scots becoming the latest ‘unpersons’ to be vilified and slandered. Hatred is a dangerous drug, a soma that the Right sups deep from over and over again. The Western MSM resorts to fear and hate-mongering routinely, whenever elite power is threatened. RT, with its debates, its relative intelligence and absence of comprehensive hypocrisy, seems, in comparison to the Western MSM, as to almost be an Olympian discourse. All this pertains to that odious ‘liberal’ voice, ‘The Guardian’ as well.

“The argument that if Putin had acted as peacekeeping enforcer at the beginning of the attack on Novorussia all would be well now, or things would be much better, is based upon conjecture, guessing. It is merely an opinion that cannot be proven or disproved.”
Actually it cannot be disproved, but it can be strongly argued against with, as Marie Harf would say, ‘a preponderance of evidence’. Look at Z. Brezinski the old Pole and New World Order operative par excellence, who advocated that the Ukrainians be equipped with anti-tank weapons ideal for defending cities in bloody urban combat (nevermind ole’ Z. Big underestimating the Russian Bear and thinking it would be stupid enough to take the bait and fight house to house for Kharkov or Dnetropetrovsk, when the Novorossiya army won’t even try to take Mariupol).
Of course Putin cannot stop NATO from pouring arms into the Ukies hands anymore than he can prevent ISIS, er the ‘Free Syrian Army’, from laying hands on all the anti-tank weaponry Croatia, France, the UK and now the US can crank out. But he can deny the NWO/NATO forces big prominent Russian formations to attack in Eastern Ukraine with these weapons and force the Ukies to go on the offensive if they aim to use NATO-supplied arms, in which case the technological advantages of a weapon like the Javelin are negated by the simple but devastating firepower of the GRAD paired with the Novorossiya Army’s network of informers who can provide reasonably accurate coordinates for Ukie units on the highways in real time/act as forward spotters.
In other words, had Putin ‘rapidly sent in the peacekeepers’…
Thanks Katherine for that mention of “Who Killed the Electric Car”! I didn’t know about this fascinating story about the recent EV-1.
BTW, here is the YouTube link to the first of eight parts:
youtube.com/watch?v=bTHsTCBxDM8
There is another movie by the same or similar title about this very subject but about the electric trams of Los Angeles many years ago. They removed it and replace it with . . . gasoiline cars and freeways that are no longer free!
Anyone know about the title of that film or YouTube link?
had Putin ‘sent in the peacekeepers right away’ in late April or early May after the Odessa massacre,
1) Putin and the Russian Army would have been the occupier, not aiding the insurgency against the occupiers from western Ukraine and the NATO puppets
2) the Russian people would not be as united around his leadership as they are now and might even be protesting what they would see as an unnecessary war, an unforced error by the Kremlin elites rather than by NATO. This is critical to defeating ‘the 5th column’ forces in Russia by making them expose their true colors and Western sources of financing under pressure to topple Putin during a protracted stand off with NATO.
3) There would not be an army of Novorossiya hardened in battle and capable of repulsing Ukie assaults with a minimum of Russian support — ammo, logistics, medevac and satellite/aerial surveillance rather than direct intervention with heavy use of troops and airpower
4) The Ukie army would not have been bled by thousands of combat deaths and thousands more wounded troops (20,000+ KIA&WIA&MIA/deserters). Regardless of whether Kiev has managed to cover up these deaths with the help of a complicit Western media, Ukraine’s army is much less effective than it was in May or June due to these losses and even with the latest NATO hardware it continues to have severe manpower problems. These troop shortages are being made apparent by the LNR’s successful attack on Shatsyia and the Donetsk airport which were not possible when the Ukies had lots of reinforcements to send and now have very little to none. The so-called ‘volunteer battalions’ by substituting enthusiasm and political fanaticism for skill and training that could only be achieved over time contributed to Kiev’s humiliating defeats since ‘Aidar’ and ‘Donbas’ proved to be amateurs in urban combat getting routed by numerically inferior forces.
Anonymous 18.42, an ascerbic observer, a Jew if I recollect correctly, hit the ‘antisemitism’ nail on the head. He said that, whereas ‘antisemites’ once were people who hated Jews, these days an ‘antisemite’ is anybody who the Jews hate.

None of the above is to say that Putin can do no wrong or that the influence of the 5th column forces around him is not strong. Or in some cases it’s better to refer to them as a pro-oligarch faction, allegedly centered on ‘Marmot’ Surkov, desperate to return to a business as usual pre-Feb 2014 that neither the crazed neocons in Washington hearing the petrodollar clock ticking down and with it their dreams of global hegemony; nor Novorossiya’s warriors…nor the Ukie Nazi battalions can accept! There was no peace, there never has been, and there won’t until the Ukie regime is toppled or completely exhausted together with the nation it has exploited.
This is why I could not fathom our friend Gleb Bazov’s panicked reaction to the ceasefire. Didn’t he understand that more fighting was inevitable? That for Novorossiya to succeed it not only needed lightning strikes to take advantage of the Ukies low morale and disorganization after the defeats of August, but also greater manpower and the resumption of essential services in Lugansk and Donetsk in order to cement Novorossiya’s political legitimacy in the eyes of its people? Does Gleb think that the NAF can carry on the war effort indefinitely without making some efforts with Russia to turn the gas and electricity back on in these areas? Does he disagree with Strelkov, Col. Cassad and others that what Novorossiya has lacked to date has been any coherent political leadership even as she has struggled to unify the military chain of command? Do Gleb or the rest think it’s a coincidence the Ukies, having lost on the battlefield and barely able to hold their positions north of Lugansk in Shastye, are sabotaging and destroying the power infrastructure as they retreat? Of course this is about the Kiev junta this winter sneering at how awful life under the hellish, Moskal-spawned rebels is in Lugansk and Donetsk while Ukraine only has enough gas siphoned off to keep the heat and lights on in the capitol this winter and not for the people of Zaporozhe, Ternipol or Ivano-Frankisk!
@American Kulak who said . . .
<2) the Russian people would not be as united around his leadership as they are now and might even be protesting what they would see as an unnecessary war, an unforced error by the Kremlin elites rather than by NATO. This is critical to defeating ‘the 5th column’ forces in Russia by making them expose their true colors and Western sources of financing under pressure to topple Putin during a protracted stand off with NATO.>
You are assuming that Russian forces would not have taken over Southeastern Ukraine like Georgia in 2008 with ligthtening speed and assume it into Russia like Crimea.
Now, we have over 3,000 Eastern Ukrainians killed for what? And the situation is still unresolved in Eastern Ukraine with USNATO chomping at the bits to train, arm and direct the civil war in Eastern Ukraine. I know it’s easy to play Monday morning quarterback, but that’s the grim reality.
Bottom line is that the civil war in Eastern Ukraine will continue after this brief ceasefire pause. And the people of Eastern Ukraine are in no better conditions than before this genocidal war began.
@AK: Nicely done. You’ve fleshed out the situation.
@David Chu: But the circumstances with Crimea and Georgia and Novorussia are all very different situations, and the ceasefire that is not a ceasefire has for example given the victims of the aggression a bit of a chance to prepare for winter.
Winter will soon be a player, and with a known repertoire of tactics, but when and where and how much is anybody’s guess.
There’s also the question of what proceeds from animosities percolating between various Eastern Ukraine factions? And many other unknowns: The Scots conjuring Braveheart may be a sign of the winds of significant political change coming to Europe more generally.

Well stated. Thanks, mate.
I can understand how easy it is to ridicule Obama’s statement about sending US troops to Western Africa to combat ebola. We should acknowledge that the US army does have some very impressive mobile medical facilities. This is one area that the United States can do something positive. Those mobile medical units can bring in the equivalent of a modern hospital that is completely lacking in a country like Liberia.
I realize that the US will likely abuse that contribution for its own narrow imperial interests but we should still be support it in this case.
On this subject, I just saw that Cuba is now contributing more doctors and health workers to western Africa than any other nation to treat the ebola outbreak. Now that is an international competition that we should all support.

If I had a little more money in my retirement fund I would join you;)
If Scotland get free from the Anglo-Zionist perhaps, here in Europe, we would also get free from the american shepherd dog inside EU, barking at every turn that we, europeans sheeps, are getting away from the empire.
Sending troops to Africa, imho, is more like to secure the goldmines of those countries.
We are to believe that the Novorussians lack the precision to hit a slow moving land target almost at point blank while at the same time having the capability to bring down a jetliner cruising in the sky at 10000m! How ludicrous can they get?
@joe6pac:
Actually, it may be possible.
There are two minimum monthly incomes necessary to live in Argentina.
For temporary residency, one needs to demonstrate $8000 pesos per month minimum (which is ~$1000 USD @8.4 exchange rate).
To live here, $1000 USD per month would be sufficient for 1-2 person family in the Northern Patagonia region which includes house rental (but not in Buenos Aires):

on a more serious note, I’ve read about Pyatt throwing bullshit about supposed German Leopard tanks and NATO troops in Ukraine. Why that? A cheap way of showing “strength” for Ukie media, an even cheaper way to try and scare Russia and/or Novorussia?
Putin did not intervene in Ukraine because Russia, along with the countries of Shanghai Cooperation Organization does not support “separatism”.
“The member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization shall accept the Concept of Cooperation Between Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Combating Terrorism, Separatism, and Extremism, which is fundamental for the development of a joint strategy and system of measures for combating terrorism, separatism, and extremism as they are defined by the Shanghai Convention on Combating Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism of 15 June 2001, within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”.
Crimea was not a case of “separatism”.
