Dear friends,
I am noticing with some dismay that some (many?) of you are still firmly the mental clutches of the “conspiracy theories” logical fallacy. The reactions to Koenig’s articles about Ebola and HIV are typical of that kind of logical derailment. So it is hight time that I state a few basic assumptions of this blog.
1) A “conspiracy theory” is, a priori, a good thing. Why? Because the world is chock full of conspiracies. What is a conspiracy? It is a secret plan of a group of people. Does any of you really believe that with 16+ “intelligence” agencies in the USA there are not thousands of conspiracies hatched every day by tens of thousand of professional people just here, in the USA? Don’t you know that corporations conspire too? What do you think antitrust laws are all about? Do you know that the criminal code is also full of conspiracy crimes? So here is the deal: if you want to understand what happens behind the smokescreen thrown before you by the corporate media and government official you HAVE TO spend most of your time looking into conspiracy theories. Put simply – if you reject conspiracy theories you are blind. Period.
2) I don’t give a damn about my “credibility” or the “credibility” of my blog. I don’t deal in “credibility”. “Credibility” is an “argument of authority” which assumes that something coming from “A” is credible because it comes from “A”. This is not what I want for this blog. In the Saker community I want everybody to be critical of everybody and everything and to only judge an arguments in its own merits (or lack thereof). If tomorrow Poroshenko or Joe Biden write a good piece I would not hesitate to publish it. Not because I endorse it (I only endorse what I write!), but to foster an intelligent discussion. In other words, “credibility” is something attached to an argument, not a person.
3) In order to reject a hypothesis we have to first look into it. Unless we develop an 1984-like automatic rejection without analysis capability, there is no way for your to evaluate a thesis without being exposed to it. A hypothesis is just that – a “maybe” or “what if”. If it passes a preliminary stage of acceptance, and if it becomes formalized, it becomes a theory. Then, that theory can be tested, in particular in its ability to predict. Only then can it be proven false. In the case of Ebola and HIV all I hear is side “A” claiming that it was created by the US government while side “B” says that this is not so. In the meantime, NOBODY is offering any kind of halfway intelligent discussion of the hypothesis. Instead the hypothesis is dismissed prima facie as a “conspiracy theory”. Those who do that apparently fail to realize that if, as this hypothesis states, the US government had something to do with the creation of HIV or Ebola then by definition this was a conspiracy and, again, by definition only a conspiracy theory could help prove that.
What is wrong with you guys?! Has basic logic just become extinct?!
4) Last but not least – this blog is about *freedom of thought*, something sorely needed in our single-thought and completely monolithic society. I feel that freedom implies the freedom to make up you own mind and therefore to be exposed to something which is wrong or untrue. All of the media and 95% of the blogosphere is busy trying to establish “credibility” like a dog peeing in the four corners of a room to establish its territory. I say let them aspire to “credibility” if they so chose – I aspire for *freedom*. I want this blog to be a place where people can present odd, “heretical”, rejected, crimethink and otherwise persecuted ideas. Let them come here, present them, and if you disagree with them – tear them apart with facts and logic, be ruthless, don’t leave them a place to hide from your merciless analysis. But don’t rejected them without that, without this “trial by comments” in which all of us are jurors.
It just so happens that I remember some very well informed people telling me in the late 1980s early 1990s that HIV had all the signs of having been engineered. Is there a reason to reject such a hypothesis prima facie? Not if you know anything about the history of biowarfare research, especially by the US government. That I know for sure. But I personally have no opinion about HIV and no opinion about Ebola. Frankly, I don’t have the time to form an opinion about them (oh yes, I don’t consider having an opinion a “right” of some kind. Having an opinion is the result of a painstaking and long process of analysis at the end of which you sometimes, not always, end up with an opinion). To be very honest, I don’t particularly care. But I care that others care and that is why, I posted these articles by Koenig because I know for a fact that others (which shall remained unnamed) have chickened out from posting them, probably for reasons of “credibility”.
I don’t care much about this specific topic, but I do care, immensely, about the intellectual freedom of this blog. And I will never, ever, let considerations of “credibility” stand in the way of this blog’s intellectual freedom. There are plenty of really, truly, totally “credible” and “respectable” blogs out there. Somebody got to be free and non-respectable and I very deliberately chose to be part of that “fringe lunatic conspiracy theorist” with “zero credibility” which does not let the society’s doxa tell me what I should, or should not, post.
:-P
The Saker
Agreed, Saker.
However, there’s more to it. You say you “don’t have the time to form an opinion” on Ebola. And that highlights the biggest actual problem of the overabundance of conspiracy theories: They are cheap to produce, as it’s cheap to make “wild claims”, not bothering to provide evidence. And the cheaper they are, the harder they are for the reader to assessto. That’s my problem with Koenig’s Ebola part of the article.
For me, Koenig provided a conspiracy theory which I will not bother to investigate, just as he didn’t bother to provide any evidence.
In fact, “cheap conspiracy theories”, ie those that don’t come with a modicum of evidence will waste a lot of time of those who think “every conspiracy theory was created equal” and deserves to be investigated.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Re: HIV. In 1977 – 79 I was a student working in one of only two P3 recombinant DNA labs in the US. The technology to alter and weaponize HIV did not exist at that time. However, my anthropology professor who did field work in Africa (a CIA asset) told me that his young African research assistants were dying of an unknown disease. After many years of observation and analysis, I have concluded that HIV was harvested from a natural outbreak in Africa and maliciously introduced to test populations in Haiti and the NYC gay community.
Re: Ebola – see google patents! The isolate was logged at the CDC in 2007. The patent application labels the strain as an invention.
Regarding “conspiracy theories”:
When I discuss some news item with someone who gets their “newstainment” from the MSM I usually get accused of promoting some “conspiracy theory” since I am generally introducing information they have never heard before. For instance, that Flight MH17 may have been shot down by an aircraft rather than a ground based missile, or that the two destroyed Malaysian airliners may be “payback” for Malaysia hosting an International War Crimes Tribunal that indicted the Bush regime and the Israeli government for criminal aggression against their neighbours, use of banned weapons like cluster bombs and depleted uranium, indefinitely seizing and detaining citizens of other countries without charge or trial, and torture, among numerous other war crimes.
I usually start my rebuttal by saying something like: (to use 9/11 as an example) “So you believe the official version that 19 Arab Terrorists and a person in Afghanistan were responsible for hijacking four airliners on the same morning and crashing them into various buildings, but that there was no conspiracy?” Usually they say “Yes”.
I then say: “Well, it there was no conspiracy, you apparently believe these 19 individuals just happened to board four aircraft at the same time without having ever met or talked to each other, and somehow all decided to pull out box cutters and take control of the four aircraft at the same time again by chance, and without co-ordination, were self financed, took the necessary flight training to pilot the aircraft on their own, and had nothing to do with Osama Bin Laden or Al Quada. Correct?”
Of course they say, “No, they were working together and secretly financed and trained by Al Quada.”
OK, I say, that makes 9/11 a conspiracy. So you also believe in a conspiracy theory, just a much more improbable one, where all the other pieces that had to fall into place for 9/11 to happen were pure co-incidence. Like the US Air Force picking that morning to do a airliner hijacking simulation in the north-east US that introduced confusion and delays into the response; sending most of the US Airforce fighters off to Alaska and northern Canada on a “training exercise” against a non-existent Russian bomber attack, and deciding to fly the only two remaining fighter aircraft in the Washington area to another base 150 miles away. To only begin to scratch the surface, and without even considering items like Tower 7, which was not hit by an aircraft, yet mysteriously collapsed, conveniently destroying all the records of the ongoing Federal investigations into various large corporations like Enron engaged in price fixing and tax evasion. And after George Bush’s brother’s “security” company, which had been hired a few weeks earlier to replace the previous security company, removed all the bomb sniffing dogs from Tower 7 (and Towers 1 & 2).
I am reminded of a comment once made by a judge that “When coincidence is piled on coincidence piled on coincidence, at some point it ceases to be a coincidence.”
“”Credibility” is something attached to an argument, not a person.”
“All of the media and 95% of the blogosphere is busy trying to establish “credibility” like a dog peeing in the four corners of a room to establish its territory. I say let them aspire to “credibility” if they so chose – I aspire for *freedom*.”
Words like these justify my hope in people.
My problem was not that it was a “conspiracy theory”. My problem was in how it was presented.
I said it before, and I’ll repeat it here: if Africans don’t trust the immunization shots, why don’t they insist on having their own scientists participate in overseeing the program? And if they don’t have any scientists who are qualified in that area, why the heck not??? It should be made a national security priority.
Just like the only way to escape the IMF is for a country to be self-sufficient in money, the only way to escape Western scientific consensus is for a country to have its own deep well of scientific talent.
Also, it would be have been really nice if the author were to respond to some of the more intelligent critiques in the comments, to provide some impression that he’s willing to engage and try to convince people who may be on the fence. As it is, this reminds me of nothing so much as mainstream media journalists, who reprint dubious statements that they heard somewhere else, and don’t defend them because they don’t have to.
“I have personal friends who like to think of themselves as smart (they are indeed amongst the top ten percentile) who believes in the 9/11 official narrative despite much debate.”
There is a music discussion board I have been reading and posting to for over a decade. Many of the regular posters are published music critics. From time to time, the board has been mentioned and recommended in major publications. There are a lot of intelligent people there, many of whom have advanced degrees. There is also an associated general discussion board. I almost completely stopped trying to discuss politics years ago, after coming to the conclusion that 9/11 was a false flag attack. The environment there is much too conformist for a decent discussion of such things. And yes, they still use “conspiracy theory” as a pejorative, and thinking they are actually saying something, as if the a priori dismissal of conspiracy theories is somehow rational.
I used to test in around the 98th percentile on the SAT (for what it’s worth), and I would guess a lot of people who post to that board are in the same category. But a lot of them are gullible as hell, and many of them are the type to dismiss what someone has to say if it is said with grammatical errors, misspellings, etc., rather than recognizing they might have something to learn from someone who doesn’t have all the mechanics of language down.
Nasrudin sometimes took people for trips in his boat. One day a fussy pedagogue hired him to ferry him across a very wide river. As soon as they were afloat, the scholar asked whether it was going to be rough. “Don’t ask me nothing about it,” said Nasrudin. “Have you never studied grammar?” “No,” said the Mulla. “In that case, half your life has been wasted.” The Mulla said nothing. Soon a terrible storm blew up. The Mulla’s crazy cockleshell was filling with water. He leaned over towards his companion. “Have you ever learnt to swim?” “No,” said the pedant. “In that case, schoolmaster, ALL your life is lost, for we are sinking.”

Dear Saker –
These theories are not at all out of order nor should you stop posting them. In late 1980s Jon Rappaport heavily researched HIV and AIDS and his findings showed big Pharma deeply involved. His book was not widely known but can be ordered on his website – sorry don’t have the link handy – just Yandex search and his site will come up.
He’s also been reporting on the ebola “outbreak” and how similar it is to the highly embarrassing, for WHO, bird flu pandemic a few years back. Since they got the world in a panic then only to have the thing die out with blood tests in US coming back showing not only did the patients have no bird flu but they had no flu at all – nothing wrong with them but normal body reactions to GMO, poor diet, stressed lifestyle, etc.
Last thing is that every conspiracy is also a “civil RICO” case by definition so if anyone effected would start filing lawsuits, we might get some answers and you don’t need an attorney to try a civil RICO case – all the instructions are online. I keep waiting for someone who can show standing to file a suit… Any takers in Sakerville???
Thanks,
S
There are indeed lots of conspiracies in the world. I think we would be surprised to find that the Zionists pushed François Hollande over Martine Aubry, for example.
I also believe that the World Trade Centre was blown up by Israeli agents for the Bush administration to create the conditions for perpetual war.
But, there were epidemics and lots of deaths from the dawn of civilization, and some diseases just disappeared without a trace, so no, the Americans didn’t bioengineer HIV. The Americans can’t bioengineer corn for god’s sake, do you think they can do a sophisticated virus like HIV!
STEVE: Thank you for mentioning the secrecy of the TPIP trade deal. Ordinary mortals can know nothing about it, except what leaks. The really surprising thing is that EU MPs have to make an appt to see the proposed document. They see it in a closed room with no cameras or other reproduction equipment allowed– not even a pencil and paper. The time allowed to look at this huge document is limited. Unreal, huh?
Off topic. Very interesting interview with V Putin.

Extensive interview.
John F. Kennedy believed in conspiracy theories. He believed that a military takeover of the U.S. govt. was very possible, and he wanted the movie “Seven Days in May” to be made as soon as possible to warn the public. He even made the White House available to the filmmaker so they could shoot the riot scenes. Needless to say, the war hawks in the Pentagon got their Vietnam War once JFK was out of their way.
Very nicely put, Saker. Thanks for another great article.
How tired I get, of people who stand on ‘argument by authority’. It’s virtually a guarantee that their position is unsupportable.
“There is a principle, which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance – that principle is contempt prior to investigation.”
— Herbert Spencer, 1820-1903
I have a collection of ‘about conspiracy in general’ links here: http://everist.org/archives/links/__About_conspiracies_in_general.txt
There was an excellent article I recall once reading, by a psychologist, on the psychology of denial of ‘conspiracy theories’. It ran along the lines that many people cannot bear to contemplate anything that implies the government lies and does evil things, because if they admitted such things they’d also have to admit that they personally were fooled, and effectively cooperated with evil. They simply can’t face that, can’t even let it get above subconscious awareness. So they flatly block any line of thought that may lead in that direction.
Such people also form a kind of ‘parent-child’ emotional bond with the idea of benevolent government. This too blocks them from looking into anything that may suggest government isn’t the benevolent caring parent figure they want it to be.
Sadly, that was before I started taking notes and I’ve never been able to find the article again. Anyone?

Saker, I see you brother I see you. There was a saying in the original Black Panther Party that governed all commentary, “No investigation no right to speak.” This seems common sense but for too many “rational” persons this is an alien concept.
The term ‘conspiracy theory’ is one thrown about by people who are too lazy to take the time to research the available information, investigate the facts that arise from research and conduct their own analysis.
In summary, they are words used when one cannot think for themselves.
If you’re thinking of using the term – ask yourself the simple question: have I obtained and analyzed the available data thoroughly? If not – start thinking for yourself instead of relying on what others want you to believe.
Firstly I’m interested in the truth not sensation. Today free speech seems to be the recipe for sensation, not for a search for the truth. I’ve even the impression that finding the truth becomes harder nowadays.
Secondly I get the impression that you suffer from confirmation bias. Your ideological framework is clear and what you post fits that framework; mainly the US is bad and conspiracy theories of whatever kind fit that obsession need to be published while I haven’t read a word of criticism on Russia yet.
Thirdly conspiracies theories are played and remain behind the curtains (you’re right that there are many, something I doubt not) and few ever see the light. But many so said conspiracies can be proven to be rightout stupid or false afterwards (though the conspiracist will never admit it).
I have a question for the Saker that’s bothering me alot. Strelkov was recently interviewed. The gist was that he claims full credit for starting the war in eastern Ukraine. My first thought was: given the huge propaganda pressure of western MSM, is this man insane? Incredibly egotistical? or both? Why would someone say this, knowing what the backlash will be? Second thought: who benefits? Is is possible he is a CIA plant? (On the lines of conspiracy theories). What does the Saker think about Strelkov’s recent interview?
re: “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.”
Looking at Western news, it is the crap the governments throw out that is full of BS. And the academics and journalists have to go where they are forced or paid. Pharmaceutical ads make modern US TV. When Big Pharma gets convicted of heinous crimes, they pay a fine and the TV ignores it and we go back to business as usual.
The idea that Ebola is the Anglo-Zionist Empire up to no good by sending in troops, advisors, and vaccine specialists to Africa is not exactly a wild idea. All they have to do is reclassify a small number of the deaths that already occur there. And you have to be blind not to notice that the American government is building a medical police state to go along with its normal one.
This is really excellent:

Scientific study reveals conspiracy theorists the most sane of all
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/11/22/scientific-study-reveals-conspiracy-theorists-sane
The article and its surce links don’t actually discuss sanity. Nor do they define it.Nor do they claim it for either group. The major study was done by examining 2174 comments on news articles about 9/11 only, dividing them pro and contra, then deciding thatthe mainstream supporrters were more hostile.ans more doged in sticking to their guns.
The main study said “In this study we found that conspiracist comments were much more likely to argue against the official account than in favour of their own interpretation. Conversely, conventionalist (anti-conspiracist) comments were more likely to argue in favour of their own interpretation than against the conspiracy theories. This result agrees with our theory that belief in conspiracy theories can be more accurately characterised as a disbelief in official or received explanations – that the content of the conspiracy theory doesn’t matter as much as the fact that it opposes whatever the official explanation is. The focus is not on promoting an alternative explanation, but in debunking the official story.”
The part I bolded is the rub. It is all vey well to disbelieve the official explanation. Be honest and say you don’t believe the thievin’ cheatin’ lyin’ gubbmint. That is a clear and legitimate position to hold. To say planes can’t make a b;uilding fall (they DID), must have bee ecplosives (how many? where placed? how come nobody noticed the larg amounts needed? why bother with planes as well?) oh there there no planes (flight cancelled; it was holograms/laser lights/ projected video); no passport could have survive so clean (They said same about MH17 too) why no wing shape holes in Pentagon (what is this, RoadRunner cartoons??) the one in PA was shot dowsn (how did they fake the passngers telling their families they’re going to take down the hijackers?).. .. Say you don’t believe the bastards = you are a sensible person. “Prove” it by denying physics and chemistry = you’re ignorant (and a nutter for basing an important belief on wilful ignorance). .

Regarding HIV, we are talking about a ‘virus’ that has NEVER been isolated. There are no real world images of HIV, only computer models which are theoretical impressions of what it ‘should’ look like. Peter Duesberg is the authority (the original researcher) with regards to HIV, please see the book ‘Oncogenes, Aneuploidy, and AIDS: A Scientific Life & Times of Peter H. Duesberg’.
In that case you need to urgently go and edit Wikipedia, which actually has a microscope image of an HIV virus right at the top. They claim, with their usual huge number of sources, that it was isolated in 1983.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV
Your Dr Duesberg only came into HIV about three years later. He is the chief HIV denialist in the world. He claims two DIFFERENT causes for AIDS (unusual in itself for any disease)
* in the West it is from long term recreational drug use and later from antiretroviral drugs (never mind a huge % of AIDS sufferers never used any drugs)
* In Africa it is caused by malnutrition, tainted drinking water etc and isn’t even really AIDS.
The HIV virus just “goes along for the ride” and doesn’t do any harm,he reckons.
Subsequently he became adviser to South African President Mbeki who on Duesberg’s advice refused to provide antiretrovirals to AIDS patients, leading to the early deaths of hundreds of thousands of them.
===================
You also say “HIV is a hoax, most of the diseases under the blanket of HIV/AIDS are the result of vaccine programs designed as forms of population control combined with systemic malnourishment, and/or chemical poisoning. Covert sterilization programs also run under the auspices of the WHO and various health NGO’s.”…
* many HIV positive patients in poor countries have not been in vaccination programs
* it is indeed strange population control measure to create a virus that started out killing mostly homosexuals (although it now gets anybody).
* many/most HIV patients in better of countries don’t have malnutrition or poisoning….whatever they have is the same as their neighbours who do NOT get HIV/AIDS
* the sexual/birth transmission of HIV is absolutely proven
* the only predictor for getting AIDS is having HIV beforehand.
If you have some need to believe WHO are running various sterilisation or other harmful programs, hunt around, you are SURE to find REAL ONES, because there are some. Then you can do some good drawing attention to them. Please get away from the theories of someone who is himself responsible for thousands of African deaths.

I think the question of how it came to be isn’t as relevant as how to effectively protect oneself from it without frying your brain without the medical abomination of modern vaccines.
From my understanding a deficiency of selenium is what allows viruses such as ebola and HIV to take root.
No conspiracy here and no magical thinking. The links you gave are very old interviews (1990’s), but the subject knows his stuff. He’s not a self-taught New Age healer; he’s a serious scientist who works with real viruses. It dosn’t mention Ebola, (and that is a different family to HIV), but what he says makes a lot of sense for HIV.
So I dug up some more recent material on this and sure enough, they’ve discovered supplememnting with selenium DOES keep HIV under enough control that the patient can get back to work Not a cure, but stops development. Turns out selenium is needed by the CD4 T cells, one of the major infection fighting cells in the body. It orks for other diseases, too, in areas where the so;ils are low in it.

Your first point is excellent, and I’ve lost count of the times that I have seen seemingly intelligent people refuse to acknowledge that their denunciation of ‘conspiracy theories’ thereby denies the existence of conspiracies themselves, a really silly proposition, particularly with the history of real, revealed, conspiracies throughout history being so vast. ‘Conspiracy theory’ like ‘political correctness’, ‘moral equivalence’, ‘antisemitism’, and, a local favourite of the Murdoch morons ‘post-modernism’, are just cant used to end debate and camouflage one’s real ideological position.
Joy it is well-known that the USA sent expeditions into Africa for years, searching for interesting zoonoses to be studied at Fort Detrick. I’d bet that this is where they found HIV. These, after all, are the people who conducted huge bacteriological and nuclear contamination experiments on their own people and foreigners, and who gave sanctuary to the Japanese germ warfare monster Shiro Ishii, of Unit 731 infamy, in return for his ‘science’ obtained by methods such as vivisection, ie live dissection, of humans, including children. And they were certainly guilty of germ warfare in Korea, despite their typically hysterical denials.

Becoming and staying ‘credible’ means becoming and staying ‘politically correct’, which in turn means streamlined
Well Saker just said he doesn’t care about being “credible”, But he does care about others being so. Just these past 2 weeks he’s rejected looking at several sites on the grounds of not credible enough.
Unlike Saker, many people feel they SHOULD have an opinion. So they grab the nearest one floating by. This is where I opoose the conspiracy type sites. And especially writers like the one this discussion started about (Peter Koenig), people who’ve developed a “name” who are “into conspiracies” but are sly about it. He starts with a fair analysis of known current events, then segues into opinions which are out on the edge, but no backed up with any facts or sources at all. Slick marketing trick, once the mark has agreed on six points, he’ll finds it harder to disagree on the seventh. People end up with an automatic opinion with no factual backing, which they will then cling to fiercely. They just got brainwashed,.Out of laziness. Several people attacked me for calling the story BS but nobody had facts…he’d not given them any.
Then post after post people start linking other sites also devoid of facts. GGGrrrrr. Your theory of no opinion = open mind doesn’t always hold, I’m afraid.
Well said.
When asked if I’m a conspiracy theorist I answer “Not at all. I believe everything happens at random and accidentally.”
Unfortunately it is very simple to assign agency to your usual suspects, whomever they may be, and very hard to prove it.
It’s also hard to keep from extrapolating beyond what the facts you come up with imply.
For example, I would have a hard time believing that Building 7, at least, was NOT wired for demolition considering what it contained. It would be like a politician’s office without a paper shredder. It would be ABC security at that level. Like “burn after reading.”
So what?
I nudged a few people, in vain, to follow up with Mario Puzo something he dropped into one of his novels to the effect that Clinton had a police state plan sitting on the shelf ready to go, waiting for a catastrophe to create the right conditions for its imposition. Puzo is connected in various directions and might well have done some heavy drinking with a friend with access to such information, say through the Fibby.

agriculture, for example. Ukraine has big, effective agricultural production. But agricultural goods from Europe are cheaper, because they get very big state subsidies from the EU — between 40 and 50 percent in some cases. The Ukrainian state simply cannot give such money to farmers, and they will go bankrupt.
Yeah, the wonderful “free trade” which every country in the world sabotages with subsidies. Then they’d have extra costs getting “up to EU standards,” mostly paperwork on every farm and likely compulsory or hard to avoid chemical use.
Half the land near Donestk would be wrecked by being fracked. They would have to change the laws to let foreigners BUY LAND, so fo course they WILL — big factory farms, less work for the locals. The excellent black soil from the fracked areas would be stripped off and sold — about $900 million worth a year is shipped out illegally already. The people are literally fighting for their land.

Take a severe drug addict who has had no sexual contact with an ‘AIDS’ diagnosed person, test them for HIV and often the tests will come back positive, how is that?
CHECK
* drug addicts may often share needles (a common way to get HIV and hepatitis)
* they may have casual relationship with someone whose HIV status is not known or not communicated
* they may not remember any of this
* the contact could have been anytime in past 5 or 10 years
In other words there is no way to be sure they’ve had no mingling of fluids.

I am reminded of a comment once made by a judge that “When coincidence is piled on coincidence piled on coincidence, at some point it ceases to be a coincidence.”
In the same vein, my favourite quote from all the James Bond books

The second time it is just coincidence.
The third time something goes wrong – it is enemy action.
ok Saker, you set the rules so here goes.
The Controversey of Zion is a book by renowned journalist and correspondent from the period between WW1 and 1950, Douglas Reed.
In it he explores the role of the Talmudic cult in world affairs. As a conspiracy theory it is without peer, and Reed lays out what seems to me to be more than adequate evidence to take it into the realm of fact, and well beyond theory.
Reading it brings into focus much of the otherwise blurred interactions between the major players and illuminates some of the darker corners of the international stage.
The revealed picture is deeply disturbing. In short humanity is being gamed by a samll, sick and clearly narcissistic bunch of psychopaths.
This is not a shot at Jews, they are as much and probably more so victims as anyone else.

How do we investigate ebola, AIDS, bird flu, swine flu etc? If I want to study viruses and bacteria, I don’t have the required knowledge and no lab would let me in. I can’t even make sense of published papers without learning new words and concepts and if I don’t know Statistics I am lost.
What I can do is to study the net and find out what others, with more time and more knowledge know. Early media sources are also important. It takes time before every media outlet falls in line. The Saker and I resided in different countries, but I also remember what was said about AIDS in the 80s. Experts said the virus didn’t look natural. When I got on the net, I learned more. The US AIDS epidemic started among gay volunteers in a test program. One of the head AIDS researchers worked with biological weapons in the 70s.
Another way to find out more is to study what governments and companies have already done. Experiments have been carried out in the US and the third world. A vaccination campaign started at least one epidemic of measles in Europe. A WHO sterilization campaign was started in the 50s-60s targeting fertile women younger than 49 and it was not the last. Swine flu was an obvious hoax and most likely an engineered virus, I think I can safely say that in retrospect. An experiment in the UK some fifty years ago resulted in a small island still being infected with anthrax.
With a record like that, we have reasons to be alarmed. Can we trust our leaders with anything? The economy? Our retirement benefits? World peace? Our health? I think not. Thus, it is understandable we ask questions. Everything we read on the net is not necessarily true, but some of it can be sourced. The US has an ebola patent, that seems to be a fact. For genocidal or commercial reasons, we don’t know, but surely it is odd?
If you are British, do you remember a TV-series about bird flu 15-20 years ago? Some say we are always told in advance what the elite is going to do. I remembered that when we had the first bird flu cases in China. I also remember the exceptional safety measures taken when ebola patients were brought to Germany years ago. Nowadays ebola patients are treated so carelessly they infect others in Spanish and US hospitals.
Don’t worry about bird flu in Europe, it is not identical with bird flu in China. Humans are not in danger, but chicken farmers are, of course. Migrating birds pass the continent every autumn and some of them are infected.
The following is OT, but I want to share. After manually having chopped wood in the early 90s, I sat down to rest and smoke while watching the autumn leaves. An impressive flock of northern migratory birds arrived in my vicinity and I felt I was being watched. Perhaps they had never seen a human before. One of them parked on my back and investigated me, without being bothered by the smoke. The bird walked around and was not afraid at all. The encounter lasted only a minute or so, but I will always remember it.
@Kat Kan:
“Your theory of no opinion = open mind doesn’t always hold, I’m afraid.”
What you stated is correct, but it’s not what i wrote. I did not state ‘no opinion = open mind’.
Specifically to avoid this conclusion i wrote: ‘Because only if you not already have an opinion, it’s possible to keep an open mind and be as objective as possible.’ See the ‘it’s possible to keep’ part.

‘post-modernism’
Propaganda depends on slogans the construction/content of which vary with the logical facility of the perceived audience and the needs/perceptions of the propagandist.
Post modernism is a lullaby since that which is modern is at this moment; that which is post modern is after this moment, ergo in some future.
Life however is lived in the moment or changing presents if you prefer, and hence as living experience the future never comes.
Notions of the future are often used as a salve to the deprecations of the present moment – a form of displacement strategy – a lullaby.
Dear Saker,
You state that this blog is a place for “freedom of Thought”. I am closely drawn to all the analyses here and enjoy tremendously the level of debate and, most of all, the ability of the members to pierce through the propaganda of both sides of the Atlantic.
Hence my problem: I lived in communism most of my life, and now I, like you, live in North America. Having seen and felt the methods of suppression of dissent in communism makes me to be VERY fearful of writing of expressing my opinions in any forum online, knowing fairly well that, when time comes (and in my opinion, these times are coming) we, the ones with “different opinions” will be rounded up and neutralized.
I struggled all my life to live a normal life. Most of all I am a non-conformist and have a real antipathy for abuses of authority…
How can I balance my fears of “the authorities” with the need to express my thoughts freely?
Respectfully
Vitikin
Just to let you know.
For me the problem with the Ebola piece is NOT that it smells of a conspiration. It is the total lack of supporting data.
When I read a gruesome accusation such as this one, I check the base data. If there is none this is not freedom of thought. This is slander.
Now I know that Peter Koenig is willing to write on a topic outside his area of expertise without doing the research needed to support what he writes. I have placed him on my “do not read” list.
Thank you, Saker, for addressing the whole “conspiracy theory” red herring.
I did not consider most alternative explanations of historical events until I personally became the victim of a conspiracy, in graduate school.
A well-known neocon tried to both get me kicked out of grad school, and unsuccessfully tried to take away a $20,000 fellowship I won, due to my anti-Bush, anti-war views.
The thing is, to this day I still do not have absolute, conclusive proof. It’s all circumstantial, for example:
the organization that awarded me the coveted fellowship (2 awarded per year per USA) sent me email and a phone call awarding the fellowship.
I kind of new something was going on, intuitively, so I made an extra call to confirm the fellowship. (Other weird stuff that seems to go on when one is the victim of a conspiracy were going on).
Anyway, I then got an email claiming that the email I got about winning was a mistake. Clever, eh?
Unfortunately for them, I had personally talked to the main awards guy, who was very excited about my award, and what I might contribute. And this was recorded.
So my fellowship remained in force.
To this day, the organization in question has never publicized my award. They just left out the entire year in their public web site.
Yet I have the banking records and personal email to provide I got it, and I actually attended conferences with them, where the a-hole president of said organization never made eye-contact with me.
If they would go out of their way to destroy a mere grad student, imagine what they do to investigative journalists or presidents who get out of line.
KatKan is very good at quoting out of context
I made the comment regarding Rand , going on recollect… which would suggest to anyone else but KatKan I could possibly be recalling incorrectly
KatKan’s contention wrt the term ‘conspiracy theory’ being around since the 1800’s is interesting but sort of nonsensical because the media was not as insidious and able to infiltrate as greatly as it is today. Therefore the term would have had no where near the influence it has today.
Bottom line regarding KatKan’s ad hominem usage this is Saker’s blog and he can put here what he sees fit, if you don’t agree exercise your freedom to choose and go somewhere else

A vaccination campaign started at least one epidemic of measles in Europe. A WHO sterilization campaign was started in the 50s-60s targeting fertile women younger than 49 and it was not the last.
I’m glad you brought this up. There were also 1 or 2 polio epidemics from bad batches of live vaccine (chimpanzees can catch polio from people, did you know that? but the vaccine works for them, too). Many thousands got HIV from contaminated transfusions, maybe 100,000 from mixed blood products, — some 2 years after the danger was known. But HIV existed before; nobody counted it until Americans started to get sick (same as Ebola was invisible until the missionaries came down with it).
These are not a concentrated, planned, conspired genocide. These are random assorted companies making mistakes, from stupidity, cutting corners, carelessness (= not caring, not giving a damn)not valuing foreign lives as really human, and ordinary greed. In other words, no conspiracies with common goals of evilness or world domination. Just a congruence of ill effects from largely like-minded bastards.
Ditto the forced sterilisations, often the work of one or two doctors, not any official policy. All these little things don’t add up to “reducing population” in any meaningful way. For that they can start and arm endless civil wars, with the accompanying famines and killing fields. Of all the “secret laboratory” work we know of, anthrax was the only really dangerous; the others unsuitable for population thinning and totally useless as battlefield weapons.
So yes, you can find a lot of bad cases to point to. And if you look close, they were caused by ignorance, heartlessness, arrogance, greed. Not world domination.

“
Engdahl NOV23 on Orban
The controllers are worried that this could turn into a repeat of 1956, of sorts.
That was detailed in a book “Uprising” by David Irving, still available to read on his site.”
Reliance on historical analogy or “experts” or experts previous declarations is generally a form of obfuscation.
Even Suslov learned something from the experience, but Andropov and associates learnt more.
As to their opponents, since they are still engaging in similar practices and have done consistently it is debateable whether they learnt as much.
As the saying goes – all men use muscles to think; some their brains and some their penises.
As to Mr. Irving his work like that of others has limitations not wholly attributable to time but also to context, overview and sources.
However as a catalyst to rumination like all datastreams it has some merit.
Many of the useful sources are still in archives with restricted access.
Ebola conspiracy:
Patented: fair enough you have to study it but why?
Classified as a biological weapon: OK your enemy might get their hands on it.
Immunisations/Treatments: Russians have two, US versions under development.
Military hospitals in Africa: Away from the “homeland” in case anything goes wrong, plenty of patsy’s who will be injected with anything for $$$.
Ebola fear porn. Plenty of that. A tell.
“EBOLA IS REAL” posters and noticeboards in the background of footage from Africa. A suspicious population needs to be convinced to take the immunisation. A big tell.
Budget to fight Ebola: Emergency budget approval of billions (160 I think) in excess of the cap. Not going towards medicine but for 5,000 (non medical) troops on the ground and infrastructure. The biggest Tell so far.
So the conspiracy thesis holds some water but starting to look like it.
HIV (those who say it’s not real). The virus is used by genetic engineers to splice new genetic code into living cells

Term “Conspiracy theory” was developed for purpose to discredit critics of “status quo.” Rulers want to be out of control, but also want to maintain status of good, credible, moral etc. and they also like to keep public in ilusions about status quo to promote themselfs as figters for freedom and democracy.
But there is tons of materials which giving solid foundation that contradicts those 2 platforms: False flag operations, MK ultra, spreading viruses of fever or Moscogee experiment, Operation: Northwoods, Gladio, Paperclip, Condor, Keelhaul, Odessa, Iran contra.
Then we see that government supress justice and truth: Smedley Butler, Assange, Snowden and many more whistleblowers being opressed.
Conspiracy is a legitimate concept in law: the collusion of two or more people pursuing illegal means to effect some illegal or immoral end. People go to jail for committing conspiratorial acts. Conspiracies are a matter of public record, and some are of real political significance. The Watergate break-in was a conspiracy, as was the Watergate cover-up, which led to Nixon’s downfall. Iran-contra was a conspiracy of immense scope, much of it still uncovered. The savings and loan scandal was described by the Justice Department as “a thousand conspiracies of fraud, theft, and bribery,” the greatest financial crime in history.- Michael Parenti: Dirty truths.

All of us here who have been watching closely the appalling propaganda put out by the MSM
outlets, with coverage on the Ukraine,MH17 and the Donbass killings, have no difficulty accepting that there is massive collusion between government and proprietors and employees,of MSM.
To others not watching, or more recently tuned in…It may seem that ‘their government’
would never collude in such a vile manner,to ethnically cleanse a people from an area they wish
to use or exploit.
We are witnessing a conspiracy !!…..To believers of MSM, we here are conspiracy theorists.
——————————-
When many nations( G7,G20) all enact the same kind of legislation,we can be certain there is
a reason which later we can fit in to a broader picture,as we say…connect the dots….
In recent years, legislation has been enacted, ostensibly,to prevent ‘criminals’ using their assets
to defend themselves, e.g. sell an asset in order to hire a good quality defence attorney.
Confiscate bank accounts, sieze anything of real value without a conviction being neccesary!.
Then civil asset forfeiture laws,
Anyone carrying or self-storing cash is deemed ‘suspicious’,can and have had their property, e.g. gold, silver, deeds to property ..etc siezed and must prove their innocence and prove legal title.
There where hundreds of safety deposit boxes raided in London,in one depository(sorry no link, google it, 2012/2013 ?)all but about six got their property back….but still …possesion used to be 9 points of the law…how many people keep receipts now ?.
This is the opposite of innocent until proven guilty, this is very useful in the US,the police get a cut!….
We are witnessing a conspiracy !!…..
If your fiat money is not in a place it can be ‘Bailed-In’, or taxed ,”In the national interest”,we must be criminals,by definition…opposing the state, is now an act of terrorism!,all these nations are using the same playbook!,,just as the ‘regime change’ playbook has been used successfully for centuries.
…connect the dots….
Our democracy is a fiction!..a 100 years ago,millions fought in the trenches…they did not have a vote…..
check out ‘Universal Suffrage’,and see who had the vote & when!.
Ask yourself the question… why is foreign policy never on the ballot??,are we too stupid? or just
badly educated with regard to the most important aspects of our lives.
For my part I am better informed learning hrough internet sources, than ever at school!.A good sense of smell usually weeds out the shills and trolls…
learning never ends..until we do!, as a commenter upthread said about the stigma of ‘I do not know’…. there is an alternative …
“I have no opinion”…..
this usually ends a topic, unless you are dealing with a person intent on converting you to their point of view……
Tony Blair was all against the ‘Royal Prerogative’..(the right of the sovereign to wage war),until he gained power, then he could not use it enough ,just like ‘barry the bomber’,or ‘john mcInsane’.
Anyone not seeing their lockstep actions and hearing total unity of statements,is truly blind, deaf
and DUMB.

Tacu, huge majority of Serbs are very pro – Russian. Unconditionally.
Through all our history we felt strong connection with Russia, ethnically, culturally and religiously. Russia also helped us many times in the past. Often in most desperate moments when our forefathers faced near annihilation.
We never forgot that help…
As you know, Serbs were one of the first victims of the Empire during the nineties. Once again we were attacked by the vastly over helming forces. Completely alone, surrounded from all sides, we fought against biggest military coalition in the history of the mankind. We could not win, but we still resisted for 10 years and we were not defeated militarily. But after Kosovo war Empire used all dirty tricks in the book and gradually removed patriots from political power and installed western puppets in all important positions. West has a complete control of all MSM in Serbia, politics, economy… e.c.t. We are exposed to an enormous western propaganda. They did all they could to weaken our connections with Russia and create feeling that we have no other option then to follow western demands. And still, they have a very limited success in changing our hearts and minds.
West can count on the tiny layer of well-paid and / or blackmailed puppets in Serbia, few percent of the young who still believe in Hollywood… , bigger number of Serbs who does not like western politics but who are afraid and tired of hardships and wars and just want to be left alone and to live their life.
If Russia would become just a little bit more active in Serbia – buy a TV station, newspaper. Give the people more objective news of what is really happening in the world, organize some NGO’s, provide a platform to patriotic Serb intellectuals who are currently marginalized, Serbs would very quickly take much more pro – Russian official position. Serb would vote V. Putin for president of Serbia if they could…

thank you, Saker. you are spot on, of course. calling opponents of the government paranoid conspiracy theorists is an old tactic. i read it in a magazine from 1935. they used it then, too. it is so effective that even the most well-educated members of society refuse to think.
i might also say that part of the problem is the US worldview. Americans fundamentally believe the world is rational and reasonable and fair. It is hard for many of us to shake that belief. We TRUST that the ruling class tries at all times to embody these ideals. Of course, in truth they try to NEVER embody these ideals – but the public has generally not caught on to this yet. The depth of their corruption and ill will toward us simply eludes most Americans. Anything that calls this credulity into question is considered crazy by many unsuspecting people.

I will take this opportunity to praise the commenters who took the time to question the unsupported statements about plague scenarios that Mr. Koenig has made. Too many good people are risking their lives in fighting these diseases for his analysis to be correct.
Anonymous @ Nov 23, 16:46 has an excellent response to the article. Another comment referenced the anthrax scare – that’s one puzzler I do think needs further careful analysis – there are all sorts of theories out there, and of course, we must look at the evidence when addressing them. Most who disagreed with the article were doing that.
I think back to WW! and the Spanish flu epidemics around the world, which incubated in chaotic times such as these – we can certainly blame the onset of such plagues as we have at present on the warhungry madness that has inflicted western policy. The conditions are ripe for it.
But Mr. Koenig goes further to posit a deliberate poisoning regime connected to mass quarantine scenarios that is beyond Machiavellian. If anything the US government has to my mind been flagrantly off the charts in preventing sensible quarantine measures of short duration that are scientifically based.
I wouldn’t put it past the elite to want to control populations; I just don’t think even they have that power, though nature does. (After all, who’s going to clean their toilets and grow their organic veggies? A subrace of mindless peons? No, sorry, they need us all. )
I understand your statement that all conspiracy theories are going to be on the table here. It is indeed your blog, and you have a right to your priorities.
Thanks again, sensible commenters. I really appreciate your efforts.
Virtually all opinion I encounter, from every corner of the globe, makes the assumption that the major players are normal people, deluded, misinformed, etc. I don’t see that at all. My observation is that the major players, seen and unseen (but detectable by their effects) are essentially ALL psychopaths. Really, starting from this assumption and informed by a growing literature, everything begins to make sense. The social and economic structures of the “modern” world, particularly the anonymity and transitory human contacts, so enable intelligent psychopaths that our age should rightly be called “The Triumph Of The Psychopaths. To a first approximation there is only this one problem, and to remain blind to it will mean the extinction of our species.
@teranam13 – The question for me is not whether they manufactured ebola, as we cannot know this. I believe it is not beneath them, but the important issue is whether or not they would use it for nefarious purposes. I mentioned in a comment the efforts of the feds and the banksters to destroy the Natural Solutions Foundation, as they apparently do not want us to have access to natural ebola treatments, such as nanosilver, while ebola poses a potential theat. Perhaps the origin of the disease cannot be proved, but we can prove – and should not turn away from questioning – attempts by the feds to manipulate the situation. Blocking natural treatments, whisking away suspected ebola patients to secret locations, buying up all Hazmat suits so they are not available for purchase by others (as they reportedly are doing), stifling true information in the media and so much more paints a picture of federal involvement inside the crisis. This involvement is questionable. It appears to be all wrong.
It is not just that they have long been repressing natural therapies- but that they chose to shut down ongoing natural therapies for ebola patients that have been proved to be effective by the Department of Defense. Why? Timing is everything. We cannot overlook this.
@ Edward Qubain – Many Russian Jews live in the US. I have a Russian friend who knows people – who has real friends – who were in fact warned by the Israeli consulate to stay home from work on 9/11. I know you will say that is just hearsay, but I believe it to be true. My friend was not trying to prove a conspiracy theory in telling me this, she was just recounting a true story told to her by friends who did not go to work at the WTC on 9/11 – because they had been warned. You have no way to know such a thing is a conpsiracy theory.
People seem to be very quick to dismiss so much as utter nonsense. It makes them feel more rational, but we should hold questions in our minds regarding all these things.

Yes, but who will build the robots? And how, please, is the one percent of one percent going to manage without the infrastructure that past working people have provided? You see, they are living on borrowed time and other people’s labor and it cannot be sustained. There has to be cohesion of some sort between all sectors of society, and we all point out here that in the west that cohesion is fragmenting. I agree it is fragmenting. I agree we are being bossed about by greedy psychopaths. It’s not sustainable! So, even if some crazy people want to rule the world, the world is too complex for this to happen and the world is a sleeping giant (oh how they trusted the west but they do so no longer!)
Now, here is simply the danger in some ‘conspiracy theories’ – they pose too much power to the psychopaths, and they instill irrational fears. Here is one example that happened today. A woman in Ferguson – I don’t know black or white, it doesn’t matter to me. This woman was so afraid of the protesters that never having owned a gun, she bought one. Driving home with her boyfriend she was fiddling with the gun, and he, afraid of being shot accidentally by her, ducked and then slammed the car into the one in front – and she accidentally shot herself and was killed.
You see, she was frightened unnecessarily and that caused her death. I don’t want that to happen to anyone, and that’s what exaggerated stories like forced quarantine and poisoned vaccinations will cause to happen. We need to know what is driving these powerful people and to take measures against our own fears. There are terrible things happening to real people, and those are the events we need to react against.
Anyway, I know I’m expressing myself poorly; it’s late and in Ferguson emotions are very high. I tend to think we just don’t know what happened with respect to Michael Brown’s death, and I hope something will be learned with respect to the plague of gun ownership that has been unleashed on a gullible public. I want people to think for themselves, not in kneejerk reaction to what they hear or see in the media. And really not to act on their fears and cause themselves unnecessary harm.
And even the psychopaths, let’s remember they too are human. They are the most to be pitied because they are in danger of losing their immortal souls.
Larchmont ! i never knew you were Sicilian. I guess the reason the mob went to that place is because of the beautiful weather…In Ancient Greece it was a Mystery Site…temple on the cliffs that the boats passing could see.
St. Paul was there too wasn’t he ?
But in the Grail legends, it was the home of Klingsor … Lucifer … already a criminal lair….
Hi Anon who said this

How do we investigate ebola, AIDS, bird flu, swine flu etc? If I want to study viruses and bacteria, I don’t have the required knowledge and no lab would let me in. I can’t even make sense of published papers without learning new words and concepts and if I don’t know Statistics I am lost.”
Anon…go to Solari.com and look on the right side of the page and you will see a couple of videos about vaccines…very informative…

Catherine Austin Fitts. Now I would like to believe what you believe…stupidity not world dominance…but CAF is an authority…her bio is “Dunwalke and the Aristocracy of Stock Profit…you see her credentials…
She is very sure about the world dominance theory…also see “Secret Space Program” for a really bizarre take of world dominance. And this is a person who was in the right place at the right time, and knew all the people…its pretty bizarre, but it like what this whole thread is about…not believing things…

Regarding the drug users testing positive for HIV, most of those tested positive never injected (I know of two them myself), they were topical meth users, they smoked and ingested orally.”
Angelo, I’m out of the topic a bit…are you saying that these drug users contracted HIV although they had never used needles? So what do you think gave them the HIV ?

CIA in-house analysts, stung by lapses in predicting the Soviet and Yugoslav collapses, apparently had begun leaning toward a view that ethnic nationalism could split China with the right spark.
