Just a simple curiosity: why so few discussion about Sweden and Finland potentially joining NATO? (I mean in the articles, not in the comments). It seems a crucial point to me.
Is it possible that this joining rush would have success?
Will the Turkey veto stand, or will it crumble in the end?
Are the Finnish committing suicide and are they seriously risking their sovereignty in the medium-long term?
Do they desire a completely militarised country?
And, in general: are Belarus, Moldova or others going to be involved against their will into this war?
I’m seriously worried that NATO is going to succeed in lacerating Europe, whether by exacerbating internal divisions and/or by involving more cannon-fodder countries (like Finland, apparently).
Europe is disappointing: a new EVROPA is needed.
Thank you.
These are questions I want answered. It would be good to see some commentary on the ramifications of Finland especially, seeing how close they are to St. Petersburg.
Gab, the combined population of Finland + Sweden will add about 20 Million to the current 800M.pop. in NATZO countries. Hardly significant.
A Russian spokesperson said it would make things easier for them: the Bear would no longer need to tread carefully for fear of stepping on innocent little creatures.
Well, Finland nowadays is a cushion-state. If you remove the cushion, you’ll face some problems, regardless of the population.
An increased number of potential war-fronts is never a desired outcome, even if you are way stronger. Especially if your enemy (NATO) can easily act directly in those fronts, if needed.
Not a good choice for Europe, nor for Russia, from my point of view.
Gab, Finland ordered 64 new F-35s (!). If that is a fair example of their military acuity then I think you are right to compare the state of Finland to a cushion in respect of Finland’s ability to “cause problems” to an invader. To be fair, Finland is among the very few states to have provided their entire population with underground shelters, very comfortable and well furnished including kiddies playgrounds, where people can hunker down safely
until the storm of war has passed over their heads.
This is no reflection on the Finnish people but a Finn has written to complain of their “mafia regime” and, looking at their “deal” with F-35s, I can believe him. Norway has bought the same crappy overpriced U$ junk and, again, this is no reflection on the Scandinavian people; buying crappy overpriced junk from Uncle $cam is an inevitable consequence of joining NATZO — a sort of “protection money”.
It matters only somewhat that Finnish bunkers are comfortable. The amount of storage space for food and water for 5 million people which the Finns claim these bunkers can support/need would be a logistical nightmare. Should this war turn nuclear then said Finns will be esconced in their bunkers for a long time. I have no idea the length radiation fallout would be, or how long they intend to wait before returning to the surface, to devastation. If it’s to be conventional bombing and carpet bombing at that they’ll still need shelter and then there’s the fear of bunker busting bombs. I’m a silly old woman have no idea really. Just think Finnish government and Europe have made a huge error.
Dear Pauline, you are not a silly old woman, just a thinking old woman such as myself. Your comment is rooted in common sense, and even though ordinary people often have some common sense, the people who rise to “leadership” in western Europe and the Five Eyes countries are so filled with hubris they have no sense.
Sooner or later any war must be brought down to the land. Then the offspring of Nordic and Middle Eastern parents will find themselves in the same situation as the offspring of Ukrainian Nazis from WW2 are today in the Donbass region. In any care, good luck to them (no luck will help them).
Were about to correct that number too.
Membership of NATO is a paper tiger as everything else of NATO. In an office it means a lot legally, but on the ground which Russia looks at, not much.
I anticipate it should not be a big deal for Russia to demilitarize Finland by taking out all Finland’s 64 new fine F-35 which would make US and Wall Street extremely happy, because this is what it is all about: Sucking and indebting the rich European sissies dry, letting them pay for US military industry MIC.
For sure Turkia(Turkey) smells some weird stuff in the air that US-led NATO is concocting big tactics to take advantage of Turkia as another cannon fodder against Russia, Iran and the rest of the Central Asians, in the future. Ankara is also unhappy its application to join the EU led nowhere despite repeated assurances by France and Germany. So Ankara questions how come Fins’ and Swedes’ applications for NATO should be accepted in short time while its own thrown into the dustbin.
Honestly, I don’t think that the west can fulfill Turkey’s demands. The west is not used to submitting to demands in the first place. No doubt they are outraged at the Turks who refuse to bow down like the Eurolemmings at the first sign of adversity.
The likelihood that Finland and Sweden will *actually* join NATO is quite small, in my opinion.
Agree!
I’m in Sweden. The socialdemocrats have run over their own constituency, deeply convinced that Nato membership is totally alien to them. They will react.
Media here are ferociously hateful of Russia of course, so any change will take some time. In my view the present government is seriously incompetent and run by DC. They have just three months before elections on September 11. By then the economic repercussions from sanctions and an obvious success for Russia in Ukraine may change the tide and force Sweden to back down.
I’m in Sweden too. But as far that I can see there will be no match for this stupid nations as Sweden and Finland to get into NATO. A few days with a lot of money to the turks from Biden will solv the problem. I hope I’m wrong but NATO is a must for this incompetent countrys. This will be for the first time for over 250 years that Sweden has been out of a war, finally it will come to Sweden. The war is soon over us. They have been asked for it. All politicans, I say all of the politicans in Sweden, are so stupid that they don’t see what’s coming. I have been saying for a long time now that Sweden is the 51 state of the United States of America.
LOL. You are both right in a way. I call it “5 Eyes +” so USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and then the plus part of Israel, all the European losers and other affiliated flunkies.
So Sweden and Finland want to be full losers not just half losers.
I don’t think West politicians are stupid. They are simply hand picked and planted by the power that is, be it CIA or MI6 or whatever. All the leaders of “democracies” all speak and act as one wherever you look.
Democracies are a scam. You see money can’t buy Monarchs but if Monarchs/Authoritarian leaderships are converted to democracies then money can buy all senators parliamentarians judges heads of states etc etc.
And that is why Russia and China and Iran are hated because they can’t be bought.
It does matter what your paid MSM media tell you everyday. What matters is when hundreds of missiles come reigning down on your head. That is your reality. Russia is not backing down from all of you and you don’t have the sense to see it.
Russia can deal with all of you and you are lucky that they are not as cruel and murderous as your boss USA. That is the only thing that bothers me.
Also in Sweden, and I have never met anyone in the flesh (and through work I meet a LOT of people) that support NATO membership. But everyone is now saying ‘I guess everyone else supports it and so it is great.’ Gaslighting by the media and political elite.. I have searched and can’t find any of the raw poll data that suggests the population is in favor.
Swedes (and Scandinavians in general) have many, many brilliant points, but cultural solidarity (should now be renamed to conformity) is a very sharp double edged sword. Simply tell the Scandinavian masses that everyone else supports the direction and opposition is neutered. Self-censorship. And it’s leading to an outcome that in a private vote or referendum would fail, but media and gov say everyone is so in favor of it we don’t need to test the people.
Sad. I liked neutrality, and Russia has been a good neighbor on those old terms. It’s not hard, this is kindergarten stuff in this age.. don’t take up arms, be respectful in trade deals and we have no beef.
Its socialist group think. Trained and educated through schools and media the last 50 years. Fifty years ago we had soul, real personalities and more competent people.
Its sad both Sweden and Finland betrayed their soul and qualities which show up even today. Just see this amazing Swedish musician Gunhild Carling https://youtu.be/AaSxhKf5pV0
Yes I am in Sweden too, and it is as you say. What strikes me also is the terrible shitty propaganda in these ‘newspapers ‘ like aftonbladet wich lay at every cash desk in supermarkets.
The Swe-landia actions are all for show, just as is all the farcical propagandizing and virtue signaling. In the end, Russia will prevail in the southeastern crescent and Ukraine will inevitably be reduced to a small, agrarian. very poor, and extremist western sector. Z!
Why this false narrative in the media; all media, about the veto of the NATO application? Hungary was the first to announce its veto, followed by Croatia.. Only in the last few days has Turkey joined the club, and yet now it’s all about them..
You’re right, I could have missed a point, but the general problem stands. Even if the NATO’s expansion plot doesn’t succeed in the short term, the way Swedish and Finnish governments are acting is pretty telling about what these countries would do in case problems get wider in the future.
Apparently the only Scandinavians left with some real pride are the extreme metal bands out there!
It is dedicated to the all-female Soviet 588th bomber regiment, who got the nickname ‘Night Witches’ from the sound their planes made after they killed their engines for maximum effect. This sound made Germans think of the broomsticks of witches, and they called them “Nachthexen”.
Well, Sabaton is just another commercial musical project using simplistic historical references in order to build appealing stories for their songs. They are not extreme in any sense. Amusing to someone but hey, let’s be honest: they have nothing to say, they didn’t forge a new musical genre, nor they are innovating anything musically.
A proper original recent musical tradition in Sweden would encompass bands like Dissection, Entombed, Marduk, Dismember, Craft, Shining, just to name a few that pop into my mind.
I miss the old Black/Death/Doom metal scene up there.
From Vikings to Wokeness in 20 years. Scandinavia, I don’t recognize you anymore.
Too true bro. Orban has more flesh in the fire, that I know of eddie and please forgive me for being ameri-Conned with my news but yeah, you’re way out in front of this thing.
I think the focus is on Turkey because the US believes it can change Turkey’s mind and get PR from it. Which they will then use to pressure Croatia, and Hungary. And the EU already had a vote to withdraw funding from Hungary as they are upset by the election. So the beatings will continue until morale, and votes, improve.
Many (some?) Croatians are beginning to slowly realize the War to Destroy Yugoslavia was ‘misguided’. Young Adult Croats tend to be embarrassed by the Old Fascist hatemongers. It’s by no stretch a healthy society, but at least their are faint glimmers of positive.
Actually, Sweden doesn’t matter. It is just being overtaken by the middle easterners and Africans. Other than that the Swedish are just timid. Finns, on the other hand are double crossers. They bombed Leningrad for 900 days, together with the Nazis. Russia haven’t forgotten that. Anyway, by what Putin said, Russia doesn’t care for the Finns, or Finland. They are not Ukrainians, or Russians living in the present Ukraine. If needed, Finland can be overtaken within 3 days. No one would worry about Helsinki, not like Russians care about Kiev. NATO would not even raise a finger to defend it with ground forces or any other forces. NATO doesn’t have the fire power…and the heart to fight.
Your false narrative does Russia no favors. The first Soviet-Finnish War began with the Soviet invasion of Finland on 30 November 1939, three months after the outbreak of World War II. The Soviet Union had just concluded a non-aggression pact with Nazi Germany a few months earlier. It had just invaded Poland/Ukraine a month prior. The Communists were the clear aggressors.
That said, the Finns are stupid for attempting to join NATO when it is now clear what such “support” has done for Ukraine.
Think of the international context. Poland invaded Russia in 1918 and seized parts of Ukraine and Belarus. The Soviets liberated these areas from. Polish occupiers in order to prevent the Nazi armies from advancing to the Russian border. Both Finland and Poland connived with the Nazis, leading to WW2. Now they are at it again.WW3?
Finland’s “leader” is WEF, so no, she doesn’t care about sovereignty & the people’s views don’t count. She is not holding a referendum because their preferences are irrelevant..
Same with Sweden — WEF “leader” loyal to Schwab & 1-world-gov.
Even if Turkey would accept them in, the procedure will take up to a year.
I guess that during that year, not much will change, since at least Sweden has been a “de facto” NATO member for many years, and until becoming a de jure member, things will plod along as before, and who knows how the world looks one year from now…
Apparently there is no longer a Europa, this puppet continent behaves more like a Jewropa or Zioropa. I would love to see those 1500 or so slimes visiting Davos and then introduce a certain well known Russian to them, with love. You know, Kalibr Biryuza.
I always felt Finland/Sweden (Denmark?) was more of a move to disrupt the new Polar Silk Road, complicate Russia/China accomplishments & future achievements than the EU. The Artic I think bothers the West as much as EU, a way to get a military foothold there as well. Anything to disrupt RussiaChina economic gains. Just my opinion.
Trubind, it’s not just you; I share your opinion that there’s something rotten in the state of Scandiwegia.
Hadn’t thought of the Arctic Silk Road to China though; but come to think of it… Global Warming opening up a North West Passage, and hence a North East one as well, and hence a new way to “pivot to the East” …and all that.
It is. They all have no say. All important matters are managed from their US Embassies.
Their State Institutions are infiltrated by Deep State and their populations are bought into group think and passivity with welfare checks.
All their refugee problems and the new corrupt wealthy neo-nazi escapers from Ukraine are managed and funded from US.
I don’t see Finland and Sweden joining NATO as a big deal for Russia as some are making it out to be
Finland has a long border with Russia, this is true. Some folks talk about the threats of NATO hypersonics placed closer to key cities (St. Petersburg, Murmansk) – but these are equally close to points in Norway and Estonia, which are already NATO members.
So let’s say the Finnish border with Russia is filled up with troops, missile silos, even dozens/hundreds of nuclear-armed missiles. Ok, bad stuff. What this calls for, for folks who worry about a massive, blitzkrieg-type decapitating strike on Moscow and other cities/areas/facilities to prevent a second strike, is a change/clarification in Russian doctrine, and an increase to strategic weapons inventory that can ensure second strike capability – and of such a magnitude that makes first strike planners very wary of even thinking about first strike. In short, back to MAD principles.
What’s very alarming to me is the Russian foreign minister saying that they are in a direct conflict with the west. They issued a challenge and Russia accepted is what he said. That’s very scary. Russia is not backing down and the US is not backing down.
The main point is that Finland and Sweden were already NATO countries “de facto”.
They participate in manoeuvres, exercises and are align with the rest of the West in everything. That’s why Russia didn’t care so much.
Also they are not fanatics to the level of ukro nazis so even being in NATO they will hardly attack Russia sacrificing themselves.
The main point is if NATO will install bases, I think Russia will not allow it and maybe nuclear war will start. Let’s see
Also there is some question regarding the artic ocean…
But again, Finland and Sweden were de factoNATO countries.
It will be more painful for them than for Russia, since being NATO will for sure spoil relation with third countries like China.
Also it’s interesting that all Europe will be NATO, so Russia will be force to follow those old words of Dovstoievsky and Center its attention and business in Asia
I confess that I had not been paying much attention to Finland until just recently, but it has long been painfully evident that Sweden is NATO-adjacent, and in fact went way out of its way in it’s attempts to deliver Assange to the Americans with it’s demonstrably false sexual assault accusations against the former.
Perhaps the only real question is – how will this affect a geopolitical war?
My guess is, it will escalate it. Therefore, giving the globalists what they want.
War equals debts demolished. Ergo why a Civil War on US soil is also what they want.
And, yeah, we cannot forget the implosion of the economy (think food) that will enable enormous pressure to “Do what we tell you to do!’ and many will cave.
Regarding Finland and Sweden I am confident that the NATO-fication has been going on for decades. The governments have only been waiting for an opportunity to run over the people. Now they can scare the population with the fake MSM BS about what is happening in Ukraine.
Both leaders are products of K Schwabs school for young global leaders so as I see it it all comes down to the New world Order and the Great Reset with more money to the elite.
How leaders can be so totally blind to global security and avoid seeing that the combined west and Natostan is going down the drain is a riddle.
Natostan is supposed to go down the drain; that’s the goal.
Much of this is backed and orchestrated by China, who would prefer to take over the world without the tedium and expense of their own shooting war.
I hope Russia does not forget that China still thinks the old Mongol Empire (which is to say, most of modern Russia) belongs to China. China may be your business partner, but never, ever trust it to watch your back.
BTW Canada’s deputy PM is also WEF, which explains who is really in charge (since Hairboy obviously is not).
The gocernments never went for referendum because not sure to win, this is their version of democracy. Militarly they are not match specially Sweden. Besides about 20 percent population in Sweden and increasing are non Swedes ethnically and they basically have nothing against Russia. Therefore the rush of this government into Nato without referendum.
I think Putin’s chat with Finland leader reassured him that Russia is ok with them joining NATO but that Helsinki will get the 1st Nuke if it allows NATO/US nukes to enter Finland or if they allow a permanent military base or more than X-,000 pairs of boots.
@ Gab + others
Please be aware that the normal process of decision making in democracies is a long process.
It starts with one person suggesting a motion.
The motion is then debated internally in the leading political party.
If the motion stands:
The motion is scanned for being against Constitutional laws, international laws, and Human rights laws etc.
If the motion still stands, a survey is launched to poll the sentiment of the population for the motion.
If the poll projects a majority among the population, the motion is send to parliament for debate and a vote.
If the motion receives majority vote in Parliament, the decision must be written into law.
And then the law must be published by the News media before entering into effect.
However, since 9/11, The western MSM has been presenting pure suggestion as a final decision to the public, without the suggestion having ever gone through the democratic process.
The risk of bypassing the democratic process is that the “perceived decision” may fall flat on its face when it gets caught up by the democratic process after it has been presented by the media as a final decision.
A final decision can still be challenged at the National Supreme Court, or international high courts, or popular uprising and strikes could erupt, or the voters could punish the political parties in favor of the motion, in order to reverse the law.
The purpose of trying to bypass the democratic process is to use it as propaganda, to either hype a consensus for an unpopular new law and to hype a threat against opponents, like Sanctions, Gun bans, Censorship, etc.
But as we have seen time and again, in both the US and EU, many of these hyped up suggestions and threats never becomes reality, or backfires against its own population, thus creating growing resentment in the population against the Political class.
Regarding Finland and Sweden.
Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia have all signed into National laws not to have nuclear weapons in times of peace. At present No Nations has declared war against Russia, so unless Finland or Sweden wants war with Russia there will never be Atomic weapons in Finland or Sweden.
Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland have all signed into National laws not to have foreign (US) troops or bases on their territories in times of peace. So unless NATO declares war with Russia there will only be foreign troops in Finland and Sweden by invitation for military exercises, after which they foreign troops must leave when the exercise has ended.
Even though the Swedish and Finish Prime minister has signed a request to join NATO (bypassing the full democratic process), the next problem is that all current NATO Nations must accept their membership.
Already Turkey is opposing the membership of Sweden and Finland, even Croatia have suggested to veto.
Hungary also could veto their member ship, and we don’t even know whether the other Nordic Nations will accept their membership. The mere presence of US of UK vessels carrying nuclear weapons into the Baltic Sea makes them a clear target for Russia, and thus the risk of spreading nuclear radiation to neighboring nations. Too many balls are still up in the air for Sweden and Finland to become members of NATO.
.
NATO is only a defense pact.
It means that a NATO member has to be attacked or has received declaration of war by a Non NATO member, before all the other NATO members are force to participate in the defense of the NATO member.
War between 2 NATO members does not scramble NATO into Action.
But NATO can be activated by a UN mandate, if a Nation commits genocide or war crimes.
My hunch is that NATO will come up with a public statement claiming NATO membership for Sweden and Finland, but in reality not a credible threat to Russia.
President Putin doesn’t seem especially worried about their membership of NATO.
But of cause he has to protest and threat with retaliation, because by joining NATO both Sweden and Finland are breaking their international signed treaties of Neutrality.
Breaking former international treaties, ending the UN, WHO, IMF, WTO, and creating new military and trade alliances, that is the creation of the New World Order.
The trick is to get through this transformation without escalating the breakups into a World War, as happened the last times the world order was transformed during WWI and WWII.
The fact is that NATO has become too big to ever reach a unanimous decision.
All it takes is for one NATO member to veto, and NATO will do nothing but spew propaganda and threats.
The best security any Nation can have is to have friendly relations with all its neighbors.
So Finland and Sweden, the Nordic population loves you, and we could be you Nuclear weapons free allies without provoking our Baltic Neighbor Russia.
That would give us all a larger common voice to be heard in matters of National security and foreign policy.
I wonder if people really believe that Europe has a future? Russia gave a very great door to escape a looming disaster – two treaties. Too easy. Would Europe realize that the US is, under Mr Biden, being driven – as is divinely ordained(?) – to overcome its traditional approach of “pull back at the last minute” and go into a battle with Russia it does not believe they will fight and in any case US folk do not want another war, and then take sensible action?
Is there evidence of a ‘hanging mentality’ among Europeans for Elensky and his crowd of hard-bitten ‘bullet at the back of his head’ crew? Yes, so why did they not recognize the opportunity to escape – bribes to the higher political class (many forms).
I saw several comments last half year from the Russian side that SWE/FIN joining NATO would not be a huge deal as they were pretty integrated in military terms already. However it’s not great.
It details the extent of military cooperation between U.S., NATO, and Ukraine. These remarks especially caught my attention:
“The Ukrainian government demonstrated its commitment to the U.S.-led defeat of international terrorism when it deployed a chemical and biological decontamination unit to Kuwait during the first phase of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.” (p. 5)
Much more of interest is stated in this article. For example, it is clear that NATO and Ukraine have jointly carried out “peacekeeping” (i.e., military) operations in many areas of the world:
“Ukraine has been a long and active supporter of peacekeeping operations, with its service personnel having performed peacekeeping missions in Eastern Slovenia, Macedonia, Angola, Abkhazia, Guatemala, Tajikistan, and Lebanon. Ukraine has played an important role in NATO-led peacekeeping in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Kosovo. . . . Indicating the new government’s support for the provision of niche capabilities, Ukrainian transport aircraft have provided airlift for cargo and peacekeepers in Afghanistan. Former President Leonid Kuchma further signaled Ukraine’s military commitment to defeat terrorism and promote peace and stability when he authorized the deployment of 1,600 Ukrainian peace-keeping troops to the Polish-controlled sector of Iraq. Ukraine also is engaged in cooperation with NATO in the fight against terrorism…” (p. 5)
“Under George Soros’s leadership, the Open Society Foundations support individuals and organizations across the globe fighting for freedom of expression. . .”
“Ukraine demands cultural sanctions against Russia
. . . For the sake of Ukraine, and to uphold and preserve the principles of peace and order, we are calling for the international cultural community to:
. . . 4. Ban Russians from competing in international competitions (e.g., the Eurovision ban), and from participation in international exhibitions, forums, and other cultural events, including:
a) contemporary art exhibitions and fairs, such as the Venice Biennale, Art Basel, Documenta, etc.
b) the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, and other high profile film festivals.
c) the Salzburg Festival, Avignon Festival, Arena di Verona Festival, and other musical and theater festivals.
d) international book fairs, including the Frankfurt Book Fair, London Book Fair, etc.
5. Stop covering Russian culture in the media.
Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Informational Policy of Ukraine
Galyna Grygorenko, Head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Artistic Education”
….And be sure to stock up on duct tape and plastic sheeting…..
I worked in a big box Hardware store the day that hysteria broke. We on the morning shift hadn‘t heard the laughable news, but we DID notice a sudden abundance of normies quietly buying gobs of duct tape and plastic sheeting.
So….we quickly set up the areas closest to the cash registers with the most expensive duct tape (like >$10/roll) and most expensive plastic sheeting on wood pallets with a scribbled sign. The normies bought like mad.
All books by Dostoevski, Pushkin, …..all Russian books should e burned in public as they are WMDs. (sarc)
Whatever, its quite obvious that a small high level Cabal Elite in West are upset, feeling small, threatened and filled with dark green envy and anger. How dare you Russia ?
There is a difference between UN peacekeeping operations (like in Eastern Slavonia, not Slovenia), eg. in Croatia 1992-95, in which there were also Russian and Indian soldiers, and NATO or NATO-led operations, like Afghanistan, which are not UN sanctioned and are not peacekeeping.
Point well taken. On the one hand, ‘peacekeeping’ is a euphemism — just like ‘anti-terrorism’ and so forth. The article I cited is full of misleading terms. On the other hand, there are indeed genuine peacekeeping operations (just as there are indeed authentic statesmen) — it’s unfortunate the term is so widely misused.
Much of the ongoing battle for America’s soul is about healing the souls of these Americans and rousing them from the stupefying glut of commodity and spectacle. It is about making sure that they—and we—refuse to accept torture as the act of “heroes” and babies deformed by depleted uranium as the “price of freedom.” Caught up in the great self-referential hologram of imperial America, force-fed goods and hubris like fattened steers, working people like World Championship Wrestling and Confederate flags and flat-screen televisions and the idea of an American empire.
The Biden Administration has gone all out to demonize the Trump people. More evidence of election chicanery keeps coming out the latest being the 2000 Mules Documentary. The result is bottom of the basement support for Biden and the current administration in general.
I think that the American public is confused about the Ukraine situation which is not surprising with all of the propaganda. Maybe if more people realized that the higher prices they are paying is being aggravated by US policies towards Russia then they might oppose them. The problem is that both the Democratic and Republican leadership support these insane policies and there is no effective anti-war movement in the west to counter the pro war narrative.
It looks like it is going to take some kind of a collapse to get people to wake up.
Well Bill, I think you are absolutely right in all those things. My wish, were I allowed one, is that you were my neighbor here in Plumas Forest. You are absolutely spot on.
My take is that nobody talks about it because nobody can do much about it. It is always possible that the governments have been bought off in some way, and that is why they want to join NATO. Otherwise I would imagine they want membership in NATO because they buy into the Western depiction of Russia. Whether or not one approves of Russia’s foreign policy, Russia does have a good history of consistency. The rule is very simple. To avoid being invaded by Russia, don’t provoke Russia.
Because in liberal democracies you can vote on whether you want “team blue” or “team red” or perhaps even “team green”, but substantive issues are not supposed to be decided by plebs, but only by the liberal intelligentsia.
Finland’s decision was made by a criminal “president” along with the criminal deep state (run by the USA and Israel, of course) and made “legitimate” by a 700 or so person “poll” run by a foreign company under the WEF.
Any talk of referendums means you’re a “putinist” (a term never defined, of course, in true Orwellian fashion).
@Mika
Exactly its literally that simple. The US, every country in the EU, Israel, Canada and Australia are controlled by the same international crime syndicate. They are trying to cling on to their hegemonic control of the world but it is over. Russia has smashed their one world order with the SMO in Ukraine. It is as clear as the blue sky that we now have entered a tripolar world order which now includes Russia, China and the declining US empire. They are desperate, you can tell by their illogical and ineffective tactics. The EU nations will be the biggest losers in the shifting tectonic plates of global power but only momentarily. They will regain their sovereignty once the EU is disbanded. Eventually European nations will have no choice other than to ask Russia for forgiveness if they want their economies to recover. The future of the world is the silk road initiative whether people want to admit it or not. In order for western Europe to be part of the silk road they must put the past behind once and for all and treat Russia with both respect and benevolence much like Russia tried to do with their past enemy Germany.
Well. Nobody didn’t ask anything do we want to give up our own currency. It was decided as this NATO thing was. Same applies to EU membership. There was referendum but people was brainwashed months and sort of “information”==propaganda leaflet was sent to every home to make sure that everybody votes correctly. In Finland, generally open discussion has been always very problematic thing. There can be truth, and only one truth. Everything else is rocking the boat.
When snowmelt brings flooding to river, floating islands of debris present fishermen along the banks with certain sights of distressed land animals being devoured by birds. Fishermen may have hopes for these animals, but they have no power to change their fates. Like River, History flows, and most people most of the time have no agency to rescue distressed animals, and even when they can, they probably ought to leave natural process alone…as outcomes cannot be predicted, and may be bad. Like don’t start stuff you don’t understand…personally I do not rescue rattlesnakes or badgers – they bite.
Red Army beats nazi army, just as birds devour the snakes and blizzards on floating islands in spring flood.
Hope does not enter into the matter. But of course, we all hope anyway for the best…remember “Frenchy” in Casablanca? Fat cop ask “What are your sympathies?” Frenchie say> “I am for France!”
I am for America! But like Frenchie’s declaration, it’s ambiguous…and ultimately without meaning.
AZE has already lost. What we witness is denouement. Of course the process will take a long time. I note that America and the Empire cannot coexist…and that it seems like Red Army is going to fix the problem. Seen that way “west” benefits by losing to Red Army.
the Buffalo, NY shooter Payton Gendron had photographs of the azov battalion black sun symbol in his manifesto and of himself wearing the emblem. It hasn’t gone unnoticed among Black and Brown people here. I haven’t noticed any mention of it here or other sites telling the truth about Ukraine. May not be of significance here, but to people such as myself it is telling, the US is supporting not only Russophobic hatred in Ukraine but also the racism exhibited by these people in the azov battalion and their supporters.
for those not following, the young man drove 200 miles to a Black neighborhood in Buffalo, entering a supermarket and shooting 13 people, 11 of whom were Black. all 10 deaths were Black people.
I am proud to say very few Brown and Black americans are supporting the administrations war against Russia and the Russian people, who have never done us any harm. no Ukranian flags in the ‘hood.
Being racist or discriminatory nowadays in the West is legal if the target is Russian or the unvaccinated. It’s also telling that one reason the UK vaccination rate isn’t as high as it may have been is because we have a significant number of Blacks and Browns among us. The average whitey is a thick as a box of rocks unfortunately and most of them failed the basic IQ test first time around. The Blacks have far more discernment in such matters for obvious reasons.
@Oso you have raised some good points. My impression is that a wise mistrust of NATO is more widespread in Africa. To mention but one example:
*S.Africa’s Ramaphosa blames NATO for Russia’s war in Ukraine* (March 2022)
“The war could have been avoided if NATO had heeded the warnings from amongst its own leaders and officials over the years that its eastward expansion would lead to greater, not less, instability in the region,” Ramaphosa said in response to questions in parliament. . . . Ramaphosa’s African National Congress party, which has governed South Africa since white minority rule ended in 1994, had strong ties to the former Soviet Union, which trained and supported anti-apartheid activists during the Cold War.”
Mr Gendron’s pictures shows only a Sonnenrad, without references to Azov battalion.
It’s highly probable that it was for Mr Gendron only a nazi reference, because that is the most famous.
Nonetheless, the Sonnenrad is an ancient Pagan symbol which goes way beyond its associations with recent ideologies. Ancient civilizations used it, in different forms, throughout Europe, for example. Eastern traditions used it, too.
The Sonnenrad of my ancestors (north of Italy) had 7 or, more often, 5 legs. I would wear a Sonnenrad with pleasure, I don’t care if people and have prejudices because of the “evil nazis”. Removed some. No attacks on other commenters. Mod.
Gab, Re misuse of the Sunwheel symbol by Azov nasties, same applies to the Swastika, ancient firewheel (rotate it against flint stone to strike sparks). It is good to find someone who does not blame ancient symbol because it has been misused by modern nasties.
reverse swastika was used as emblem by Icelandic Steamship line. captian of the Gullfoss was arrested in New York in the ”40s as they thought he was a Nazi. He was not. he was neutral.
His gun had 14 written on it the 14 words of david eden lane . Usa white supremacist. Personally not many domestic terrorist stuff happens in usa without the fbi setting up funds recources and driving low iq guys to the job. Without their help there wouldnt be the budget the fbi demands to stop such actions. Plenty of family stories angry at fbi for setting up mentally ill folk to become the next headlines
Gab, it’s you who’s “projecting” if you’re going to pretend that this murdering piece of garbage wasn’t trying to tie-in to the international nazi movement. Ignorance is in the eye of the beholder – and his intent is very clear.
ZioLensky continues to amass millions of dollars, has Israeli citizenship, along with British citizenship. “Ukraine will be the new Israel.”
In episode #419 of the Sunday Wire, host Patrick Henningsen speaks with special guest, author and jazz & world music artist of note, Gilad Atzmon, to discuss the incredible drama at the Azovstal Industrial Plant in Mariupol, where Ukraine’s Zelensky regime and its western media counterparts attempted to erect a modern mythology and grand narrative around the Azov Battalion holdouts hiding underneath the city’s final battle zone. Gilad also discusses the construction of Zelensky’s public image in the West, his Jewish identity and relationship to Israel. Combined together, many of these facets reveal the inconvenient truth about the West’s Ukraine project, and how far western democracies have drifted from their Athenian morals, ethics and principles. See Gilad’s work at: http://www.gilad.co.uk
In a conventional war, without nuclear warheads. With its hypersonic missiles that bypass the anti-aircraft defense and hit the target, would Russia defeat NATO?
What would stop the war party in Washington from escalating the Ukraine conflict next year and beyond ? The war party seems he’ll bent on big time escalation. How to stop ?
if Washington sanctions China – then yes it stops the escalation big time. Because Chins would stop exporting stuff to US.
WTFUD,
If stopping the escalation requires yuge casualties among Americans, then unlikely to happen. The War Party is clever about finding foreign cannon fodder.
Exile, America has no problem with yuge casualties among Americans as long as it can point blame at “other.” Just look at deathjab mandates, including for our military. The deaths & disabilities of the jabbed & boosted are not due to deathjabs. They’re due to “antivaxxers.”
We, the healthy purebloods, who saw through the ruse & refused, are the blamed & hated here! They call for our deaths.
Not until Americans & Europeans begin dying in numbers shall we see an end to their illegal wars. A comatose western public only become involved when their own are dying . . . in numbers.
There is no end to war. Plato.
Germany prior to WW1 and right up to defeat in WW2 had plausible reasons for war. Burgeoning populations and poor soil meant staring hunger in the face. They wanted Ukraine ( still do, do zombies ever repent?) but birth control and abortion ( vile sins) and war losses meant that driver was eliminated. Japan ditto.
Eliminating problems by eliminating people . It’s in their bones now.
The EU is morally insane , at its inception , it was a lunge for power. Vengeful hateful unrepentant ambition , Not grace . Not peace. They wanted to supplant the USA in the world. Failed. Deserved to fail. Killed all their Jews and now up to their nostrils in Africans and Arabs. Who simply wanted to eat. And Japan is a demoralized subject plantation, they just arent sorry .
They resemble North American Indian reservations, in reverse. Japanese men get no respect. Say what you will , respect was what the Jap soldier earned in WW2. Whose traditions of old are astonishing, deserve respect , are not understood by them or us to our loss.
When the horse came to the plains, the old ways were cast off and the new “prosperity” was actually a trap.
The status of Indian women got worse. Now, a warrior could have 4 wives . Which cost horses. So , War, and the indispensable woman who KEPT YOU ALIVE was now ( then) chattel. The illusion of soveignity . Instead of wisdom. False prosperity. I dont think sniggering Oligarchs are smart enough to play this. Its human nature.
Peace between nations, between men and women , is hard
It is my impression that with horse came also epidemic and massive die-off of indigenous peoples, certainly Lewis and Clark say that as they descended Columbia they passed village after village populated by bones and fleas…which suggests to me that with the horse and die-off it made good sense, in fact inescapable burden, to have many wives. Far from a easy affair for the fellas… Navajo used to favor a fella with wealth marrying sisters, as they got along with one-another. We can imagine wives that do not get along being, er, “difficult”. I understand that the waves of epidemic preceded the white diaspora by sometimes 100 years or more, as did the appearance of non-native species, and disappearance of native ones, such as the American Honey Bee…. But I may be misinformed. In some societies, as we see in Christian and Hebrew Bible, widows were taken as wives by surviving brothers…sensible social conservative method of saving family genetics in hard times, and in times of rapid change. Think of Book of Ruth, as example.
I believe they already are dying in significant numbers. Far more men in the US of fighting age have been killed already by the vaxx than were killed in Vietnam over the entire 30 years it lasted.
Reading Malone and others about how the injections are ravaging the US military I got a strong picture of how this war being waged by the US government against its own people is generating a military casualty rate perhaps greater than any previous war.
===============================================================
“We do believe that the howitzers … are having an impact, particularly in Kharkiv. Now is that the only reason? I don’t think we would go that far to say that, but we do believe that the systems they’re getting — not just the U.S. systems but the systems from other countries — are absolutely helping them regain some momentum and to take back some territory,” the official said.
I watched a recent discussion with Scott Ritter. He didn’t say funneling weapons could change the balance of power. He said it would cause the war to drag on longer and cause more deaths. He said Russia would still win but it will just take longer because of the West pouring in weapons.
Don’t ever tell me again that the Scandinavians are nice fluffy peace loving hippies. They pretend to be neutral till fascism raises its ugly head in Europe then they revert to type. When the people of the USSR were fighting the Nazis “neutral” Sweden was supplying Germany with iron and steel for their armaments industry. Finland invited the Nazi army into their territory. When the Germans left, thousands of Finns joined them and formed a Waffen SS division to help the huns make war on the Soviet people.
With backstabbing neighbours like the Finns who needs enemies? I for one wouldn’t want to live next to them. Feckin Euro-lemmings trying to pose an existential threat to the Russian Federation and it’s global allies
I read that Peskov’s wife has an American passport and that a son lives in London and his daughter in Paris. If this is true, it is strange. The West has been at war with Russia for a long time, and this gives the West leverage, just as it does with corporations and oligarchs and their assets in the West. Or Russia’s dollar assets.
As Brzezinski said, “Are they your elite, or ours?”
Its a general problem, infiltration of a fifth column, the hidden hand.
Iranian ex-PM Rouhani and ex-FM Zarif has Israeli and US passports, thus triple citizenship. Zarif’s children also live and are educated in US and UK universities.
Russia’s international oligarchs are now vagabonds, open for asset stripping by West, but there is still a fifth column to deal with inside Russia.
As you know, five Euro-Atlantic mega-corporations – WarnerMedia, News Corp, The Walt Disney Company, Paramount Global and Comcast Corporation – basically control the media space of the West. However, the main American media covering the civil war in Ukraine and the course of the special operation of the Russian Federation is The New York Times, which, as it were, stands apart from the media empires under the guise of a “family business”.
The newspaper has always been closely associated with the American ruling circles and the CIA, its task in the field of foreign policy is to convey, under the guise of “high-quality journalism”, primarily to educated Americans, the “general line” of the state. If we compare the old declassified cereush references, analytical notes and publications of The New York Times of the same time, for example, about the USSR, then it is easy to notice the similarity of their content.
The New York Times changes vector
Throughout the last weeks of the Russian special operation, The New York Times has been a diligent mouthpiece for the hybrid war against Russia, occasionally criticizing only the Zelensky regime. The New York Times set the “narrative” for coverage of the confrontation between the United States and Russia, raised morale and justified billions of American aid. But on May 11, the picture changed somewhat when the article “Despite setbacks, Russians hold most of eastern Ukraine” appeared on the front page. The material admits that behind the numerous defeats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the fact that Russia is “achieving success on the ground” is being obscured. The New York Times emphasizes that this is not about holding Russia’s positions under the onslaught of Ukraine, as the Americans think, but about advancing the Russian Federation and gaining positions.
The publication admits the idea, completely seditious for the West, that hostilities were not launched by Russia in 2022, but have been going on in Ukraine for eight years. And the LNR and DNR are called “Russian-speaking” provinces.
Further, the article lists the successes of the Russian Federation in terms of publication: a land corridor to Crimea, a blockade of the Black Sea and undermining the economic potential of Ukraine.
In the same issue, Tom Stevens, special correspondent of the publication in Ukraine, published a note “America and its allies want to bleed Russia. They shouldn’t do it” (America and Its Allies Want to Bleed Russia. They Really Shouldn’t). The post output is as follows:
“But the longer the war goes on, the more damage is done to Ukraine and the greater the risk of escalation. A decisive military outcome in eastern Ukraine may not be achievable. Yet a less dramatic outcome from this festering impasse is hardly better. Dragging out the war indefinitely, as in Syria, is too dangerous, given the fact that countries with nuclear weapons are taking part in it.”
Stevens’ note received an instant response from Biden’s opponents. Thus, the conservative publication The Federalist supported the conclusions of the journalist:
“What strategic benefit will the US get if Russia bleeds to death in Ukraine? The risks of such a policy are enormous – up to a nuclear war between the largest nuclear powers. If the Biden administration has any overarching goal, it has not bothered to tell the American people about it. Instead, we are heading towards war as if every decision we make is just a reaction to Russian aggression.”
Tasks completed
What is the reason for the change in tone of The New York Times? With the fact that, firstly, the plan to draw the Russian Federation into an armed conflict to contain its potential has already been fulfilled – Zelensky obediently fights to the last Ukrainian, and secondly, the economic interests of the beneficiaries of the armed conflict are fully realized.
The fact is that the anti-Russian policy of the United States is being pushed through by two lobbying groups – the private military-industrial complex and the oil and gas giants. They use the vector of the new Cold War to pursue their business interests.
Thus, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and other similar companies will receive fabulous profits from deliveries to a rapidly expanding market. And this is not only “aid” to Ukraine and Russia’s neighbors, but also supplies to the armed forces of the United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Britain, France, Poland, which decided to increase military budgets. In addition, these corporations expect to squeeze the Russian Federation out of the global arms market.
Despite the fact that Western stock indices are declining, Lockheed Martin shares have grown by a quarter, while Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, General Dynamics – by 12-13%. By the way, military-industrial complex companies spent a record $120 million on lobbying in 2021. Therefore, when another Ukrainian mother or wife mourns her son or husband, the American oligarchs and well-groomed managers of these corporations should be blamed for this.
Commodity giants Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Cheniere Energy, Shell and others are no less in a hurry, as they will benefit from the redistribution of the European gas market. In 2021, these giants hired a host of lobbyists in the interests of Ukraine, who launched a large-scale campaign to prevent Nord Stream 2, coming, according to statistics, to the second place in the US in the “lobbying market”. Naturally, after the start of the military special operation of the Russian Federation, all the power of these corporations was directed to the escalation of the conflict and to the policy of Europe’s rejection of Russian energy resources.
These two economic and political forces do not care about the consequences of their actions, about the fact that as a result of the confrontation between the West and Russia, a global economic and food crisis is coming. They only care about their profits.
When their goals were basically realized – the arms race and lend-lease were launched, and the policy of reducing gas and oil supplies from Russia became a reality – interest in the further escalation of the “Ukrainian crisis” disappeared. Now, through the mouths of journalists from The New York Times, they started talking about the danger of nuclear war.
This situation once again shows the depravity and perniciousness of the influence of the economy on politics, the imperialist and hegemonic nature of the American state. And most importantly, the forces that are pushing the world so decisively towards a third world war do not really control the situation, they are overwhelmed only by momentary benefits and do not think about the consequences.
There are also deeper motives for the behavior of these “hawks of war.” All these companies are largely entangled in the largest American banks and constitute the financial capital system. Banks benefit from the growth of these corporations, but at the same time benefit from the aggravation of the crisis in the economies of the West. Under the conditions of the new Cold War and protectionism, the globalist, post-industrial, information economy of the West is collapsing, the bloated consumer and service sectors are rapidly shrinking, companies are going bankrupt, assets are becoming cheaper, the population is getting poorer. The layering of the “economy of meanings”, “innovators and visionaries” is blown away by the cold wind of the crisis. At the same time, the role and strength of industrial corporations and banks is only growing. Therefore, the worse it is, the better.
Therefore, one should not be surprised that the United States is ready to plunge the whole of Europe into chaos, just to annoy Russia. They will ruin their own economy, only for the most powerful corporations and clans to increase their income. The old logic of “what’s good for General Motors is good for America” turns out to be just the opposite in effect.
I think Ritter’s about face requires some analysis: how does this war ever end? I’m not sure.
If they take Odessa and cut Ukraine off from ports, they will have a lot of leverage – certainly a lot more than just holding two little Donbass republics. Cutting off Ukraine’s income would mean EU/US must support them with billions indefinitely and that will get old real quick.
The newly liberated lands can provide a good deal of defenses and soldiers, as with Donbass.
They could do a simple armistice rather than a peace treaty. Zelensky may not have any real ability to negotiate much of any agreement ( and probably never did).
EU nations are calling for negotiation while Britain wants to fight to the last Ukrainian. Enthusiasm for success on the battlefield ( Burrell) seems to be evaporating. Ritter has a point about seeing all these new howitzers but I wouldn’t think their number just goes on forever. Maybe the EU runs out of them, maybe they get wrecked in the field. And I think bringing in foreigners to fight is getting less likely as the idea is losing its appeal daily.
Ukraine isn’t Vietnam nor Afghanistan. Sustaining a long guerrilla conflict would be different and somebody has to keep paying for it, while EU/US keep flirting with economic collapse. I’m simply amazed at the tireless arrogance of the British in ignoring the needs of their own people for heat and food.
US had 999 of the M777 howitzers, now 909. Barrel is made out of titanium, at the Watervliet Arsenal in New York. Assembled at BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness, England. QC in Hattiesburg, Mississipi. So US has just sent 10% of their stock to Ukraine. Could probably send another, um, 300 units, at say 100 units a year for 3 years, without grinding U.S. Defense substantially? even without rebuilds. (unless we’re going to war with China…)
So Austin’s “couple of years” becomes more clear.
How much does a Russian airstrike missile cost? Looks like the U.S. will run out of M777 howitzers long before Russia+China runs out of missiles? Or not?
Since the US obviously doesn’t care about Ukrainian civilians (any more than it cares about Afghani, or Libyan, or Yemeni, or Syrian civilians), it is going to be a lot cheaper to cut losses and negotiate a peace with Russia, rather than get into a ****-measuring contest as to whose economy crashes first.
You’re missing the point – the US is already bankrupt and has been for decades. The politicians just keep printing more money and handing it to their sponsors: the military, energy, financial, and health (insurance+pharma) complexes.
The people of the United States will say when the Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine is over.
And they will do it by changing their attitude towards Russia, in general, and Putin, in particular..
Today, the vast majority of voters in the US emphatically want to defeat an enemy they know as Putin.
The enthusiastic support for the Ukranians from virtually all 535 elected persons in Washington is an accurate reflection of the attitude embedded in the US population.
Until the majority of the US population, personally, encounter a pain coming from the Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine, the SMO will continue.
…. Until the majority of the US population, personally, encounter a pain coming from the Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine, the SMO will continue…….
And how does that pain happen ? Through economic collapse or ?
Interesting article titled Canada and the Banderites
Canada and the Banderites
by Thierry Meyssan
In previous articles, Thierry Meyssan has shown how the Banderites, collaborators of the worst Nazi exactions in Ukraine and Poland, came to power in Kiev, in the young independent Ukraine. He shows here that, for eighty years, Banderite immigrants have been embedded in the Canadian Liberal Party to the point of occupying the number two position in Justin Trudeau’s current government.
A number of these fascists set up home in England after the war. The UK is a rotten corpse and sanctuary for these types of vermin. Vermin always attracts vermin.
Correct!! but after the Galizien SS were sent to Britian many were sent on to Canada, thats why there is a strong Nazi infestation in Canada, there is quite a large Ukrainian community in the towns in my area,i would think scratch the surface i expect there are some real horror stories if these people looked at their family histories.
Chrystia Freeland/Chomiak has been keeping a very low profile because of the looming destruction of Ukraine. She’ll need a truckload if depends if/when high ranking Canadian military personnel are extracted from Azovstal.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy seemed to have received information about preparations for his assassination by radical nationalists of the Azov battalion as a sign of retribution for the surrender of his brothers at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.
According to Banderites, Zelensky deliberately brought the situation to a catastrophe in order to get rid of the Azov national formation, which is the most dangerous for his government. Among other things, nationalists believe that Zelensky is already secretly preparing to surrender the country and flee to the West. At present, he is negotiating the introduction of a Polish “peacekeeping” contingent into a number of western regions.
Under a plausible pretext, all available stocks of wheat and other grain crops are being exported from the country. And this indicates that the independence of a significant part of the country will soon be actually lost. At the same time, Zelensky’s office understands that in the coming days, the Ukrainian army will lose its combat readiness and the predominant part of Ukraine will come under the control of the Russian Federation. Where will their military-civilian administrations be formed in these territories.

Translated from Russian from a certain Telegram channel. Cannot guarantee the info, but there could some truth in it…:)
I doubt that this is true because Elensky is completely irrelevant he is a puppet the only people who see him as a leader are TV pundits and Hollywood actors because they think they could be like “him” just with enough PR.
Other then them nobody takes that muppet seriously enough to waste time killing him.
It is true that this time next year he will be either in London or playing piano with his penis with Fallon,Kimmel or Colbert but nobody who matters in Ukraine or anywhere else will care.
Does your comment mean that he’s not responsible for anything because he is “a puppet”? Would it also be a ‘waste of time’ for anyone to put him on trial for crimes or for corruption? Are you on his side?
I am not on his side but i just don’t care about a clown like him the list of people that are in Kiev that need to be put on trial is long and takes a lot off time going down that list before you reach Muppet Elensky.
You’re saying that he’s less responsible than many other people in Ukraine. It’s a problem of the “puppets” theory. The “puppet master” says the “puppet” actually made the decisions. The “puppet” says “everybody” knows he is just a puppet. The list of those more responsible than the mere puppet becomes very long (if the puppet should be blamed at all). It’s good for the “puppet.” The guy who alleges that the “devil” made him do it is also a puppet!
Russia already saved Zelensky’s neck a few weeks back, they leaked an assassination attempt. Why? To negotiate of course. Negotiate with these guys?
Banderites already threatened to “hang him from a tree’ if he honored election MinskII promises.
Z is in an extremely dangerous position, never mind the Zoom psyops. BoJo orders now no negotiate.

The forecast for the development of the Russian economy from the Ministry of Economic Development strikes not with its pessimism, but with the lack of a concept and development of a new paradigm of economic development.
The scenario for the Russian economy is discouraging: a 7.8% fall in GDP in 2022, a continued fall of 0.7% in 2023, and growth in 2024 and 2025 of only 3.2% and 2.6%, which by 2025 will not make it possible to compensate for the failure of 2022. In fact, a return economy to the levels of 2008 by 2024. The collapse of investments by 20% in 2022, their freezing at the bottom in 2023 (+0.3% by 2022), the growth of unemployment from 4.8% current to 6.7% in 2022 and stabilization at this level in 2023.
Forecasts and development scenarios of the Ministry of Economic Development are submitted to the government and sent to the regions for the formation of budgets and state economic policy. What follows from the MED forecast?
According to the plans, there will be no launch of the investment cycle, there will be no mobilization development, there will be no New Economic Policy (NEP). Otherwise, they would not have assumed an increase in unemployment where it cannot be, by definition, and would not have put minus 20% of investments in two years by 2021. As part of a mobilization spurt, there is always a shortage of personnel, because. points of growth and development multiply exponentially, and the investment cycle is a natural process of survival and transformation.
The forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development is consistent with the recent forecast from the Central Bank. Passive position, conservation of the current state (expectation of natural adaptation of the economy to external challenges), adjustment to current realities and situational maneuvers to extinguish the sources of “economic fire”, and not to prevent the risk of “fire” itself.
In other words, the Central Bank and the economic bloc are still operating within the framework of the old paradigm, where the imperative of faith in the free hand of the market (a typical liberal concept), inflation targeting at any cost, the formation of a “financial safety cushion” through the distribution of accumulated income into reserves (mainly unfriendly countries) operates .
The latter seems to have been sorted out, moreover, by the hands of “Western partners”, when, having created a zone of toxicity of reserve currencies, the United States and Europe are forcibly squeezing the Russian government out of these assets. Although, judging by half of the distribution of gold reserves in toxic assets, ours were in illusions to the last. But it is good that they have now realized that the doctrinal setting of oversaturation of reserves at the cost of limiting current development is a dead end. Reserves still cannot be used in critical situations, and therefore there is no point in accumulating them.
Inflation targeting under the past paradigm of medium-term price stability in the current circumstances is a senseless and harmful initiative. It is absolutely normal and natural in the conditions of economic restructuring to fix high inflation as a natural reaction of the economy to eliminate inefficiency, adjust the economy to new price proportions and search for alternative macro-financial balances. In other words, on a trajectory of fragmented and impulsive development, increased inflation is a sign of a healthy economy that is establishing new equilibrium factors.
The worst thing is faith in the free hand of the market in the conditions of perestroika. Just like an echo from the 90s. The country is facing fundamental challenges that modern Russia has not yet known, we are at a civilizational break in the phase of tectonic transformation of the world economic and geopolitical space.
Three months have passed since the NWO, the economy is partially paralyzed by the rupture of trade, financial and logistical ties with the outside world. Where the hell is NEP 2022 from the government? Three months is enough time to understand what reality we are in. In the current conditions, it is absolutely necessary to strengthen the role of the state, at least at an early stage, at the starting point. But so far we are seeing situational maneuvers to plug holes in the ship’s hull, while it is necessary to act ahead of schedule.
There is a feeling that the Ministry of Economic Development and the Central Bank are not fully aware of what they predict. What kind of unemployment can we talk about in the face of the scale of the challenges facing the country? What kind of investment collapse in 2022 and investment paralysis in 2023 can we talk about when the country is on the verge of virtually unlimited investment projects?
The economic bloc and the Central Bank are still stuck in 2021, when we are already in a new reality. It’s time to wake up, otherwise, given the concentration and scale of economic and geopolitical challenges, the country will not be able to withstand the burden of accumulated problems and accumulated imbalances. An attempt to revive past patterns of response to crisis processes is not relevant in the context of the new “post-reality” that took shape after February 24th.
Objectively speaking, there is more than enough space in the country for development on the trajectory of liberation from the oppression of transnational corporations. According to my recent calculations, in Russia, foreign companies (the share of non-residents is over 50%) formed about 16% of revenue, 18% of gross value added, about 20-21% of net profit and provided employment for 13% of those employed in the economy for a group of companies whose revenue exceeds 20 billion rubles Almost 90% of these companies are from the list of unfriendly countries.
Many of them leave under the pressure of stupidity and political circumstances. It’s not bad. Previously, there was a problem of struggle for the sales market, which were captured by TNCs through the institution of lobbying. Now all this riffraff is gone. Now huge niches have been vacated in the country, which can and should be occupied by national companies.
Why am I so critical of government economic decisions?
First, lack of time. Their forecast suggests that they decided to sit out for a couple of years until everything resolves itself. This does not happen, nothing is absorbed in the economy without critical consequences. We don’t have two years, not one year, not even one month. It was necessary to act already yesterday. There are a lot of unresolved problems.
Secondly, private business alone will not be able to solve a complex of infrastructural, organizational, technological and financial problems. We need a tough and strong-willed hand of the state, which will create a base for start-up growth, which in the future will be intercepted by private business. It’s time to tie up with these liberal games in the free market. The backbone of sustainable long-term development is formed only through a vertically integrated economy and centralized planning. It’s been in the UK, it’s been in the US and it’s happening in China. Fairy tales about the free hand of the market for fools.
Thirdly, remember that development is impossible without innovations and technologies, and they, in turn, are impossible without science. From 2014 to 2021, investment in research and development (both private and public) declined absolutely dramatically – by 21% in real terms. From 2% in GVA in 2014, the share has decreased to 1.46% by 2021. Yes, there is an island of stability in the form of IT and related industries – this is wonderful, but industrialization cannot be done without technology. China understood this in 2003 and actively invested in science. It’s time for us to understand.
One can try to replace critical imports from West to East. But this is an intermediate task. Import substitution and localization of production chains are impossible without compensating for the technological gap, and this requires science and technology. This is a matter of survival and development of the country. Primary task.
I will soon prepare a set of tasks and directions that are relevant for implementation in Russia.
Glazyev’s precise critique of the Russian Central Bank applies exactly to the FED, City of London, ECB. This is what terrifies Yellin, Lagarde, BoJo.
And Glazyev knows full well.
After the Bail-out Fiasco of 2008 with Bush and Obama stealing tax and Germany doing double duty, look at EUropeans! Russia has also this very EUropean problem, with 1 HUGE difference : China. China is thus TARGET #1 because it dealt with the Banks.
We have FDR’s Glass-Steagall 1934 Bank Separation Law, repealed in 1999 by Clinton under the Lewinsky scandal.
Thank you very, very much for this, it substanciates my fears, but what I don’t understand is why the Russian leadership does not see this (Glazyev’s positions are well known, and if even I understand the truth of his point surely the Russian leadeship understands much better), or if they see it why do they not act on it?
I’m a westerner and I see all these systemic problems in my own country (de-industrialisation, financiarisation, decrease in investment for fundamental scientific research, cuts in education, creeping heathcare privatisation, mass propaganda…). I’ve made my peace with it because I understand that our leadership is terminaly corrupted and actively works against the general interest – and this cannot change, because of the motives and moral principles of those in power.
The question that baffles me is why does Russia not embark on Glazyev’s path, China has spectacularly demonstated how effective it is as a direction for further economic development and prosperity?
Why do not we embark?
The invisible grip of Adam Smith Free-Trade, Hayek Austrian school monetarism is a mesmerism hard to dispel.
Deal with it!
Unspoken axioms, unseen irrefutable truths – Lies of the Empire, suddenly light up leaving the Cave of Shadows – Plato’s Allegory.
What happened when our protagonist returned to the cave to proclaim – it is shadows on the wall ye bet on!
The chained former fellows stoned him!
Today we say the chained were woke – sounds harmless, right?
Fair enough, thank you very much for your answer, that’s helpful.
Quibble about how current finance has completely ditched the cycles of destruction considered inherent in the Austrian school, so not entirely pure doctrinarian outlook, but that’s inconsequential to your answer.
Surprised that that leadership is indeed doctrinarian. Everything in the SMO is not doctrinarian.
What your answer tells me is that it’s going much much worse for all of us before it gets better.
The words of many in Russia have been sweet regarding technology and import substitution for the past ten years, but the actions have been sorely lacking. And still are. Just listen to industrialists and manufacturers discuss how things have gone in the last few months. All kinds of key products are not made in Russia, and it will not be that simple to try to get them from China or some indirect source somewhere.
A lot of problems will not even start for six to twelve months, which is when the lack of spare parts or components will actually create serious disruptions and shutdowns.
Furthermore, the reason for the West’s arrogance has been that the Russian elite are addicted to the West and that Russia’s economy is also addicted. This was guaranteed by all the pro-Westerners in high places. Expelling a few obvious traitors who want to destroy Russia is not remotely enough. It is the other 99% of traitors who remain that are the problem. And don’t fall for the patriots who say one thing and do the other. Fedorov is a big rah-rah guy, but he voted for Nabiulina.
According to NYT the U.S. intelligence estimates as of 19 April are between 5,500 to 11,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed. Taking average the figure 8,000 could mean that until this week UAF has lost 14,000 killed. This is based on U.S intelligence.
Actually this figure could be very near the truth. If there are 3 times more wounded the total loss of UAF has been 55,000.
Biden’s DHS Disinformation chief Jankovicz resigned! https://www.revolver.news/
UPDATE: It’s official… Nina Jankowicz resigns from the DHS and the Disinfo Board…
Too much that Revolver exposed her working for UK Integrity Initiative, paid with US tax-dollars, trained in Kiev.
Curious it coincides with the Azov unconditional surrender?
I think Sweden and Finland aim to win the 2023 and 2024 Eurovision festivals in a row. despicable puppet corrupt states. But what a score for NATO. Two of the most reluctant and pacifist social democracies in the world will be soon turned into Nordinazis and voiceless slaves. And a lot of blonde Scandinavian too as those hundred thousands teenage prostitutes of Ukraine. A lot of wealth to pump out for the City’s vampires too. And the artic battlefield wide open now.
The legend of “Azov” ended ingloriously (partial translation)
.
The surrender of the selected Nazis of the Azov Regiment (banned in Russia) began to be captured at the Azovstal plant. During the first day, according to the journalists working there, more than two hundred people came out with their hands up. Half of them are wounded.
At the same time, the commander of the Azov National Regiment, banned in Russia, Denis Prokopenko, already without “armor” (weapons), without “armor”, without chevrons and insignia, some pathetic, on the “pure” Lviv (Czech-Polish-Gypsy – Hungarian-Ukrainian) move, which half of Ukrainians do not understand, pushed a confusing, nervous and vague speech about his “doubts”, “responsibility”, “critical thinking”, “plan B” and a bunch of other things, and at the end he said: “ In order to save lives, the entire Mariupol garrison fulfills the approved decision of the high military command and hopes for the support of the Ukrainian people…”
What kind of decision this was, in the evening Zelensky explained to the Ukrainians just as vaguely: “It’s not an easy day. But this day, like all the others, is aimed at protecting our country and our people. Thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian military – the Armed Forces of Ukraine, intelligence, as well as the negotiating group, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN, we hope that we will be able to save the lives of our guys. I want to emphasize that Ukraine needs Ukrainian heroes alive. This is our principle. I think that every adequate person will understand these words.
The words “surrender” never came out. But everyone understood. In Ukraine, there was a howl and gnashing of teeth. “Zrada!” And the “Azovites” immediately happily went out with their hands up. It turned out that the “heroes” no longer want to die for Ukraine. On the air of “Vremya Pokazhet” with Artem Sheinin, I said that “Azov” is pulled out like a pike on a lure – to the point of complete exhaustion, and then they simply pull it out by the gills into the boat.

Hang on to your hats everyone…Europe always talks a big talk. Remember French President Mitterrand about the Balkans…”THIS IS THE HOUR OF EUROPE! We don’t meddle in Amerika’s affairs and we trust that they will not meddle in the affairs of Europe.”
We see how that turned out. UN/EU blue helmets were basically drag queens at intersections. Soon the US was needed for ammunition and moral $upport. Hopefully Turkey sticks to their guns…is not Hungary also opposed?
I hope the Republicans campaign on a pledge to keep us out of the “Burisma War:” “We will not send your sons and daughters to die in a third world shithole simply to protect Joe and Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings with the Ukronazi regime.” 48 states anyone? (Forget NY and CAL)
Sweden was compromised a long time ago. They had a really good socialist society where everything functioned with efficiency. But the neoliberal system imposed on them has led to a deterioration in public services and important social safety net. They were known to be independent thinkers but then they were pressured to attack assange. Now sweden which held neutrality during world war 2 is being compelled to join nato. Sad state of affairs.
I am disturbed.What I am seeing is this…
A Russian effort stalled – why? Is it because they don’t have the people and weapons to move forward? No. They have both. Is it because they are playing along with the globalists? Yes? Perhaps take a look at this video of an author’s visit to Santa Barbara, CA – it may be enlightening, especially in the final quarter hour.
I am tired of small minds. Expand your horizons and maybe, you’ll survive what’s coming.
Sorry for being blunt but, the wimpish and deluded likely will not make it.
Voenkor Kitten Z
Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine at 21.00 on May 18, 2022, especially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Mariupol.
The surrender of the remnants of the Mariupol grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at Azovstal continues. According to official data, on the morning of May 18, 2022, a little less than 1,000 people surrendered.
The surrender process continues. The wounded are taken to Novoazovsk. Prisoners in Yelenovka, as well as in the pre-trial detention center of Taganrog and Rostov. The head of the DPR said that the war criminals are waiting for the trial.
2.
Zaporozhye.
After a failed attempt to advance in the region of Malinovka and Gulyaipole, the enemy switched to defensive actions. The RF Armed Forces are also strengthening defensive positions.
The front on the Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Malinovka-Velikaya Novoselovka line is stable and positional.
3.
Carbon.
Heavy fighting continues in the area of Ugledar and Novomikhailovka. There is no significant progress in this direction.
4.
Marinka.
Positional battles continue in the village. There are no significant advances in the front line in the village.
5.
Avdiivka.
Heavy fighting continues in the Novoselka-2 and Novobakhmutovskoe areas, as well as in the Troitsky and New York areas.
6.
LPR.
Fighting continued on the outskirts of Severdonetsk. Troops from Popasna have advanced towards Artemovsk and are fighting in the Pilipchatino area. The village of Druzhba was liberated.
To the north of Popasnaya, the troops are bypassing the Gorskoe-Zolotoe fortified area through Kamyshevakha and are fighting for Vrubovka, control over which is critical for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since its loss will lead to the cutting of the Soledar-Lysichansk highway, as well as worsen the position of troops in Zolote and Gorsky.
7.
Raisin.
Troops continue to press in the area of Dolgenkiy, Kurulka and Svetlogorsk. The enemy threw here part of the reserves that the area accumulated near Soledar. Fighting continued near Bolshaya Kamyshevakha.
In the Slavic direction, the enemy blew up the bridges near Krasny Liman, the group defending it was in a semi-encirclement.
8.
Kharkov.
Positional battles continued south of Cossack Lopan, near the village of Liptsy, near Rubizhne. The enemy’s attempts to cross the Seversky Donets and create a powerful bridgehead there did not bring him much success, the RF Armed Forces have enough forces here to stop attempts to threaten the flank of the Izyum group.
On the whole, the front is positional in nature, although the enemy tries to periodically attack in the hope of pushing the RF Armed Forces to the borders of the region. The Russian Armed Forces, in turn, are unlikely to resume a large offensive near Kharkov before the completion of the operation in the Donbass, although individual strikes to improve positions are quite possible.
9.
Nikolaev.
In general, no changes, purely positional battles in the Nikolaev and Nikopol directions. Both sides have strengthened their groupings, but they are not moving on to active offensive operations.
10.
Odessa.
The enemy is carrying out various anti-amphibious measures, and is also trying to probe the possibility of repeating the attack on Zmeiny Island under pressure from Western military advisers demanding to unblock the sea route to Ukraine.
The BDK of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation completed repairs in Novorossiysk (2 of them were damaged in an explosion at the BDK Saratov in Berdyansk) and are ready, among other things, for landing operations.
I actually prefer that the most credible sources I look to do not agree in all things: Larry Johnson, Ray McGovern, Douglas MacGregor, Scott Ritter, Nightvision, Jacques Baud, Bernard, Jacob Dreizen, Brian Berletic, Andrei Raevsky, & Andrei Martyanov each stand to see or emphasize something that the others may not.
The Duran in their persuasive way were expressing concerns at least consistent with Scott’s. That Russia under Putin has been cautious to a fault. One relevant, credible case where this may be justified is in not securing Russian-speaking Ukraine after the coup. This would not have given the UkroNATO 8 years to dig in, infest the cities, etc. In hindsight, given that the West goes full retard anyway, it might have been preferable to act then, even if Russia were not ready to extend the battle beyond Donbass.
But Russia under Putin is also known for waiting, choosing the moment, and then doing something unexpected, often with considerable economy of means or resources. Syria. Thus the judo tropes.
Gonzalo Lira said something interesting the other day: the Russians are keeping it boring, when the US in particular craves drama.
It occurs to me that rather than speeding things up, Russia may actually be slowing things down.
Russia now clearly acknowledges that NATO is engaged in a total war against Russia. Very unlikely that RF strategic planners are not now taking this into account.
Though of course there are many things the neocon crazies and their EU handmaidens could try, I notice that the Poland / Romania / Moldova / Transnistria chatter has cooled after Putin said they would experience sensations in their nether parts they had never before felt.
But why slow things down?
Not sure to what degree Russian strategists imagined that they’d have 83% public approval, the ruble as an instrument of EU torture, falling inflation, falling interest rates, and the most superb asset of enemies whose incompetence and emotional stability are revealing themselves every day.
Do not interrupt your enemy when they are making mistakes. And while EU / NATO / West is being revealed to the world for what it is–and remember, this is not just a question of Russian and Western audiences–the multipolar world is watching and learning.
Gulf States, Algeria, India, Iran, Latin America, Africa, ASEAN, and of course China supportive, and even Turkey has been less of a headache than expected.
Russian history or war has long involved General Winter, but right now we are preparing for the arrival of General Summer. In the West: inflation but also scarcity–something most have never experienced. Baby formula, food, fertilizer, diesel…A a considerable proportion of the China supply chain.
The West is being gutted–largely in the self-inflicted sense. Ukrainian refugees & the Zelensky spoiled teen routine are already wearing thin. At least half of the Western population was alienated before this started, and 40 billion USD tranches, & Hunter Biden trials, & WHO / WEF chicanery are adding fuel to the fire.
If as Smoothie says, there are vast decision trees of contingencies–on one small branch almost out of sight until now, was the possibility that Russia would find itself in a moment where it could break the West down–financially, economically, politically, diplomatically.
To settle the Ukraine question and go back to a Cold War risks giving the West a chance to analyze Russia with respect rather than blind contempt, and perhaps the next round of leaders will not be quite so incompetent.
Perhaps, to the extent that circumstances prove propitious, they may be prepared to crank the pain dial for years. Perhaps for ‘threatening’ or ‘belligerent’ countries — only physical gold for Russian products, and perhaps bans and third-party agreements not to sell strategic materials to these countries at all: titanium, uranium, nickel, aluminum, copper, neon & noble gases, food, fertilizer….
“It occurs to me that rather than speeding things up, Russia may actually be slowing things down.”
Long an idea with me, that Russia has an other speed than the west. Lenin once spoke of the ‘American speed’, Russia has to adopt with it’s revolution …
Yea, slow down to Russian speed, in human things. And keep with the essentials,
“To settle the Ukraine question and go back to a Cold War risks giving the West a chance to analyze Russia with respect rather than blind contempt, and perhaps the next round of leaders will not be quite so incompetent.”
Interesting, thanks. Seems very much along the lines of what I was trying to express here. With the Euro now under 60, the food issue turning to a slow boil, the rate of inflation falling in Russia & rising in the West, the crazy talk cooling from the Poles for now & Turkey making things difficult for Sweden & Finland–pretty sure Erdogan would be happy to see EU taken down a peg–time seems to be on Russia’s side, at least until autumn, and that’s a long time.
The main thing here’s the destiny of EU. If it broke (economic broke) , it would have devastating effect to European Nato. Also the NATO is just militia defending dollar hegemony. Losing dollar hegemony is the end of NATO. With same blow goes down Bretton Woods, WTO, IMF, World Bank, Bilderberg, etc.
When it comes to Finland we should always remember the ridiculous tradition of Finland to always ally with loser of the future. It’s almost a military farce, popular topic in many Finnish dramas. Joining Nato didn’t surprise me at all. More clever Swedes going to NATO, now that really surprised me.
As a Finn and son of Finnish war veteran I actually could see this sad move in long trend from 1992 (F-18 Hornet decision and going process to EU) to 2014 (partnership pact with Nato). But as I said – the destiny of Finland is with sunken ship of EU and especially if dollar hegemony collapse. In that scenario nobody even thought that there are/were nations like Sweden and Finland.
Europe is continent of sunset. As quite many Europeans are writing: Europe will not be conquerred by Russian tanks but by baby strollers of Muslim and African women. The March of Folly has been going on for more than 30 years. And it’s now even a new religion (multiculturalism). People in Europe just don’t care no more. There is no more dignity, no traditions, no faith, no church, no nuclear family. New generation of young people are according IQ studies more stupid than previous one. Results are going down fast by 3-4 points per decade. Interestingly this process started also some 30-40 years ago. We are talking about thing called Cultural Decline. Europe is done what ever decision they are making. Decline of culture is immense process and actually no one can stop it.
@Pavi: “In Finland, generally open discussion has been always very problematic thing. There can be truth, and only one truth. Everything else is rocking the boat.”
That’s 100% true. And has been the biggest difference between Finland and Sweden for long time. Sweden’s decision to join NATO was far more bigger surprise than that of Finland. Finnish decision not surprise at all. I think Sweden is in western cultural decline process perhaps leading country in Europe. Finns are just fucking sheep. But Finland also has one of the lowest fertility rates in Europe giving speed to their own demise. Demographics playes huge role in cultural decline process. Losing faith is the crucial thing causing that process. Those who don’t have faith they breed less. Every new generation is now 35% smaller than previous one. Atheists globally have lowest fertility rate.
“But Finland also has one of the lowest fertility rates in Europe giving speed to their own demise.”
And no wonder, considering it’s the country with the most hatred between women and men in the world, as well as generally being a very lonely, closed, clique-based as well as drugged-up (with alcohol, medications and increasingly narcotics) society.
Being obedient lil Scandinavians, them Funns religiously follow the total baloney ‘Healthy Eating’ advice of Murica, that assembled by 20 experts, 19 of whom are with BIG: Pharma, Food, Agric. And mainly based on the FAILED 1953 Framingham, MA cholesterol study.. This taught to gullible young Med. students from ill informed/controlled Profs.. in their 6 hours of nutrition in 6 years med school. So? Cholesterol is the PRECURSOR to the sex and stress hormones etc etc .
Chomsky and Sanders are fake. Sanders always keeps quiet when he is needed most. He did not object to the truth commission. Chomsky said that trump the Orange slimeball is the man to bring peace between Ukraine and Russia. As if….
Freudian slip from US ex-President Bush the invader of Iraq and Afghanistan. When trying to condemn President Putin over Ukraine (surprise, surprise right) he ends up condemning himself:
“The decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq”
“I mean, of Ukraine… I’m 75.”
Age is not an excuse for him all the top US leaders now are older, lol.
as much as most of you on this site dont like jews, you must admit, freud was one insightful guy … truth is embedded in our subconscious and escapes now and again even when we try desperately to suppress it
European Union was never really “exciting”. It was as boring as Soviet late stage Breznevian Dementia. And you don’t have to be rocket scientist to see what will happen to it.
The blind eye of average European technocrat to understand how fast whole continent had been marginalized by countries like China and India and later overrun by new cultural enclaves from middle east, Central Asia and Africa is really amazing. It looks like those fools are still thinking the world is dominated by them and Yankees. Just like that their bullshit is essential.
When it comes to USA it’s pretty obvious that their true mission is now to try to make all world people just one big stupid fat mass of rubbish tv bullshit watching brainless peasants. What a great western culture we really have now.
“When it comes to USA it’s pretty obvious that their true mission is now to try to make all world people just one big stupid fat mass of rubbish tv bullshit watching brainless peasants.”
And preferably gene modified by pfizer and pumped full of fluoride, aluminium, statins, (anti)depressants, synthetic hormones and graphene too.
“‘In contrast, Russian elections are rigged,’ he said.’Political opponents are imprisoned or otherwise eliminated from participating in the electoral process. The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean of Ukraine.'” -msn.com
That invasion of Iraq sure was unjustified and brutal. They were supposed to be developing nuclear weapons, the “mushroom cloud” threat. What made it even more brutal was Bush’s comedy sketch prepared for the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, after it was known that there was no such nuclear program. He dressed himself as a farmer and was looking for the Iraqi nuclear weapons all over his “house,” checking under the bed! It was supposed to be funny. The media people laughed. (It must have been among the most brutal spectacles ever.)
Biden is hardly lying – he’d pass a polygraph test on Ukraine vs. Russia. Director Burns of the CIA would pass it too. As the name indicates, that’s deep. I guess Biden heard the term and it went straight over his head. If anything, he thought it was an insult. You may fairly disagree. I have no proof. I say don’t think Putin or most people know that “Empire” well. Far from it. It’s like the term “Babylon” in the Apocalypse book (N.T.). Even the writer of that book doesn’t fully know. Somewhere in its first chapter an indignation appears, even the “great indignation”, and it doesn’t let up one bit until the last twenty-second chapter (therein lies its holiness for me). Putin was specific on who the Empire of Lies is, but the wickedness is like the Biblical wickedness, a real mystery: “…on her forehead: Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of the Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth.”
By the way, this quoted text (Rev 17:5) is from the 1901 American Standard Version which is like the only one in the English world that includes the word “Jehovah” instead of “the Lord”, thereby making it the most exact translation. I believe the only other one that does this is Robert Young’s literal translation. And the most complete and best interpretation work of the Revelation is that of the great Isaac Newton, but he is ignored, “shoemaker to your shoes” type reaction mixed with “I can know it also”, but it’s easy to explain why you don’t ignore him: His Google mind gave him ‘total’ knowledge of the human history the book covers – ‘ding-dong’, comparisons end right there; and his famous “light” gave him the ability to interpret like no one else…you feel like giving standing ovations while reading it and you feel smarter (both the religious and the irreligious should read it just to see how he interprets).
I bet the biggest catches in Azovstal have been ordered not to surrender until Friday, the day governments use to dump embarrassing information so as to minimize the negative effects of bad publicity. The hope is that by the next news cycle starting Monday something else will eclipse it or at least the shock won’t be as great after the weekend is past and people start paying attention again.
West are living the dream, “You have to be asleep to believe it” (G. Carlin). Media and propaganda brainwashing is all they have.
When it comes to the physical world on the ground they are lost.
Bill Gates buying up large farmland areas in US to make biofuel for energy when the world is swimming in abiotic oil and gas reserves replacing themselves. Pure financial abstractions on an office desk.
The problem is that the Ukraine war/operation is a failure of diplomacy. We need to move away from thinking of blocks and influences and realize that we need to work together instead.
After the war, the situation will be similar to that in Europe after the 2nd World War. Lots of hatred. Ukraine may have claims on Russian territory. Or Russia on Ukrainian. This is unsustainable and will lead to another war if not resolved.
The only realistic solution is to integrate both Russia and Ukraine into a new organisation. Perhaps EU2, associated with the EU, with a long term perspective of joining the current EU. No trade border between Russia and Ukraine, free flow of goods and people. Border checks may be necessary for a while, but no visas etc. Perhaps Turkey could also join, as well as some other EU hopefuls, maybe Georgia, maybe even Kazakhstan and other former USSR republics. Free trade with EU, the introduction of rule of law into EU2, reducing corruption, perhaps even requirement of some elections. A slow movement toward having the same set of rules as the EU. No trade barriers with the EU, the possibility of work in the EU for many citizens from EU2, easy flow of people.
This would achieve the primary goal of no more war. War is destructive, costly and solves little (if anything at all), apart from enriching the third countries supplying the weapons to the war zone. We need peace and cooperation, there are big global challenges ahead.
Otherwise, if Ukraine exists after the war, the next war is just a matter of time. If it does not exist, the insurgencies in Ukraine will be dramatic, and there will be many well-armed terrorists who will consider it is fine to take revenge on Russia (for attack) and the EU (for betrayal) with any means available.
Of course, joining EU2 would be a dramatic step for Russia. Yet, long term benefits would be immense for both Russia, the EU and the world. That would happen even if Russia would never decide to join the EU. I would say that Ukraine, Turkey and other nations would likely ultimately join, even if the process would take decades.
The alternative is the constant threat of war in Europe, leading to the spending of a huge amount of money on the military, basically transferring wealth from the EU to the US, employing lots of people in the army – losing their talent that could be better used elsewhere and, ultimately, destabilisation of EU due to refugees and high cost of energy, huge economic crisis and a general decline in the continent.
Judging by the latest reports from the Ukrainian front and from the Ukrainian rear, the disintegration of the Ukrainian army has begun.
The Kiev regime, along with its Western advisers, has fallen into its own trap. The ABC of military art required the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw slowly and with battles from the Donbass – from line to line, with the task of inflicting the maximum possible losses on the advancing Russian troops and, as far as possible, maintaining the combat capability of its troops deployed in the left-bank regions, accumulating reserves. At the same point, it was expedient to deploy the equipment received from the West.
But the Ukrainians did not do all this – on the contrary, Kiev threw more and more reserves into the Donbass meat grinder, which were methodically destroyed by Russian artillery, aviation and missile strikes.
Initially, the unfavorable configuration of the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas is getting worse. Kiev continues to persist and does not withdraw troops even from Severodonetsk to Slavyansk, which would allow not only to save the troops, but also to reduce the front line, increasing the density of combat formations. Continued in the video.
—————————————————-
Ukrainian Army has failed at following the ABC of the Art of War, which required it to methodically withdraw while fighting an attrition battle with the Russians, keeping their reserve units on the left-bank combat capable. On the contrary, they have thrown their reserves into desperate battles as cannon fodder, following orders from the US/NATO/Israel advisors.
“…..Ukrainian Army has failed at following the ABC of the Art of War, which required it to methodically withdraw while fighting an attrition battle with the Russians…..”
Lone – a very good point, BUT… who is in command of the Kiev Military and what are their goals ? Those NATO commanders might have very different goals. hmmm
Macho man Azovstsy “commander Kalina” came out hands raised yesterday, was taken to Rostov on a direct flight. FSB is now working him out, hopefully they will squeeze his balls a little bit until he starts singing like there is no tomorrow. A good summary of the directions the SMO offensive is heading right now, plus plenty of videos.
“KALINA” in CAPTIVITY! The commander of the regiment “Azov” in Mariupol – came out with his hands raised! Reports from Ukraine – morning of May 19 (18 videos)
Svyatoslav Palamar with the call sign “Kalina” left Azovstal yesterday at about 21.00. They write that he was sent to Rostov on a direct flight.
By coincidence, he came to the platoon of the “Luger” – these are the guys who in the vostochny district sat for 17 days in a high-rise building in full encirclement and they were supplied by a cable thrown between houses with the help of a drone. We are waiting for the press conference. A vile dwarf who sang “Batko is our Bandera” also came out with him.
And the second great news in the morning – three of our prisoners from Azovstal went out together with the surrendered VSUshniki.
About 1,000 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were surrounded in the area of Krasny Liman after the explosion of the dam by the same Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia is transferring additional reserves to the Severodonetsk direction in order to encircle the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The liberation of Popasna allowed the grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the LPR NM and the Wagner PMC to develop an offensive in several directions at once, which we are witnessing right now.
The first direction: the village of Druzhba was taken, there are battles for Tripolie. ️
The second direction: the village of Novozvanivka has been taken, there are battles for Troitskoye.
The third direction: there are battles for Kamyshevakha, the purpose of which is to take the route to Vrubovka with the further establishment of control over this settlement. Such a development of events will create a cauldron for the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gorsky and Zolote. That is why at the beginning of this week the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area was further strengthened along two lines: Nyrkovo – Vrubovka – Ustinovka (the battalion of 14 ombr removed from the Izyum direction). Novoivanovka — Vrubovka — Kamyshevakha (previously retreated from Popasna unit 24 ombr).
Fourth direction: A small village was taken to the west of Popasna Rozivka (not to be confused with the settlement of the same name in the former Zaporozhye region). To the north of it was a large stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is clearly visible from the satellite. Currently, the offensive on Pilipchatino is only being prepared. Difficulties will arise further along the route to Artemovsk, since along the section of the Pilipchatino – Pokrovskoye highway, there are powerful engineering fortifications of the enemy. (Rybar)
Ukrainian sources report the death of the first foreign mercenary pilot. It is known that he was a citizen of one of the Baltic countries, and piloted a Su-25 attack aircraft. The command of the “rebel forces” considered him as one of the most experienced (perhaps not without reason), able to set an example for young pilots. However, he, like most other Ukrainian pilots, made only one combat flight – the first and the last. He failed to reach the line of attack – he was shot down on approach.

By the way, anybody knows/read/heard if Prokopenko, Azov commander, is in Mariupol or not? Kalina, deputy commander, was taken in custody, but I have not heard anything about Prokopenko…
In the Intel Slava can now be see tanks and armory donated by Poland, obviously somewhere on a main road in UA. The Intel Slava comments is they are going be to destroyed on the front. Odd strategy, I presume. In the meantime they, even not brand new, can destroy a few russian young guys in uniforms. Where is closed airspace over benderistan according to Mr. Saker? Plus Russian Air and even Space Force working on that armory in a nice convoy on the road like on a plate? Believe russian Stavka strategy and the rest are ukro propagandists as Mr. Martyanov loves to say?
However, I am no Kijev propagandist. Also I have enough of 350 000 or so, plus unknown amount not registered, national guests in my country, often rather arrogant ones, even ladies being aggressive. Also spread of fatal diseases unknown in Czechia for decades, as ukies have been failed state with national health system out of order.
The impression I get from Putin’s body language is that he never wanted the war. His initial expectations were that he could intimidate Kyiv into a deal: probably a willingness to let the Donbass go independent, along with the Ukraine not joining NATO. That was plan ‘A’. When that didn’t happen, it was plan ‘B’, invade the place in the expectation that the resistance would fall apart. When that didn’t happen, there weren’t enough troops on the ground for an all out victory. This produced plan ‘C’, take the Donbass along with some adjacent territory.
The go slow approach is probably necessary because will cause the ordinary Russian to support the war. Wars get progressively more bitter as they go along.
Both people and countries tend to be slackers. For that reason the elaborate sanctions directed against Russia—announced with such pretentiousness—may not hold up because there will be individual cheating. If they do hold up, the most likely outcome will be to terminate Western Europe as an important political entity. The area doesn’t have all that many people relative to the rest of the world. Take away the economic health and it will be unimportant.
The Sun today has CCTV footage from the big strike on Odessa two or three days ago, Lira mentioned it in vid. First flash from incoming, lots of ‘fire crackers’ start cooking off, then a bright blinding flash when all the fireworks go off at once….followed by more minor flashes as secondary fireworks storage areas go ‘pop’.
Can’t link from this device, but a spectacle to behold.

There are two taboos in west now: don’t talk about Mariupol and don’t think about rise of electricity and energy prices. You can dream only when you sleep. But the real world runs. In 2040 world biggest economies are China and India. Western people have to accept that reality – we are not something special as we have been brainwashed to think.
Recent energy news from Finland. No electricity coming from Russia since last Saturday. Gas not coming tomorrow and after that.
The electricity price from latest 28 days 190% higher than year ago (21 April – 18 May 2021). The price of last 7 days 251% higher than average price of May 2021.
Remarkable thing is that local media dictatorship has muted these shocking rising prices. News headlines full of NATO Bullshit.
……Remarkable thing is that local media dictatorship has muted these shocking rising prices. News headlines full of NATO Bullshit…..
the net result will be the citizens will develop their own reporting system – word of mouth as well as samizdat. They’ll end up being very critical of anything coming from official channels.
“…a small pharmaceutical company we have covered called Bavarian Nordic introduced a therapeutic for MonkeyPox and a deal for high volume production the same day as the MonkeyPox outbreak. Bavarian Nordic key executives Jens Kuhn and Sina Bavari have been tied to Ft. Detrick lab leaks and lab leaks from the old Soviet Union Biopreparat labs.” – George Webb
The question now becomes, what deceptive snare will the American tyranny now devise to justify its attempt to take over Russia? In recent times it has favored false-flag events and imaginary threats as *casus belli.* Since the Biden freak show has control of the entire western world’s propaganda tools, Russia will be unable to explain the truth in order to defend itself. America is world history’s master liar.

“With a $40 billion plan, the US is setting itself up for an expensive failure in Ukraine” https://www.rt.com/news/555674-american-military-aid-trap/
================================================================
He uses the word ‘failure’ at least 10 times in this article. For example:
“By supporting a Ukrainian military that has been thoroughly infiltrated by the odious ideology of neo-Nazism, the US is setting itself up for failure by once again aligning itself with a cause which, in the long run, is not worthy of the sacrifice being asked of those called upon to defend it.”
He also emphasizes the possibility that U.S. weapons may be captured:
“Similarly, between 2005 and 2021, the Afghan military received more than $18 billion worth of weapons from the US ‘arsenal of democracy’; but when the Afghan government collapsed in August 2021, more than $7 billion worth of advanced US military equipment fell into the hands of the Taliban.”
Zelensky’s regime is getting used to the new format of war, and he is starting to like it. The advantages are obvious – for military programs, you can pull money from the West that it does not give for social needs. At the same time, failure to fulfill one’s own obligations to the Ukrainians can also be attributed to the war. And finally, there is the possibility of establishing a personal dictatorship, repressing all those who are dissatisfied. And this is the practical side. But you can still be on everyone’s lips and bathe in the rays of glory. But all this is possible if the war is waged far away – somewhere out there, in the Donbass. But if it reappears under the walls of Kyiv, it will instantly lose all its advantages. @WarDonbass
The false face of neutrality from Finland and Sweden means the Russians will no longer have to give them the benefit of doubt publicly.
Sweden has repeatedly been anti Russian and a willing participant in in Anglo American shenanigans. Anti Russian submarine hysteria, anti Russian fake news propaganda, Assange stitch up.
The Sweden Democrats are a neo Nazi organisation and now the largest party. Article is from 2014. https://foreignpolicy.com/2014/09/16/how-a-former-neo-nazi-party-became-swedens-third-largest/
When it comes to Finnish parties the True Finns (Perussuomalaiset) it has become since 2017 more and more instead of being ordinary populist party very warmongeing fierce racist Russia hater party. Just year ago all they focused was “Muslims doing this, Muslims doing that”. Now they are eagerly spreading all kind of Russia and Russians hating nonsense fueled by Ukro war propaganda. In many ways they are worse than pro Mussolini IKL party in 1930’s. True Finns has soul of lynchers.
At the beginning of the NWO, our plane was shot down by crests.
The crew ejected safely, but landed behind enemy lines, and in addition they were also decently scattered from each other.
There are enemies all around, there is no connection, the SPDH will definitely not fly here, but crests, on the contrary, are already rushing from all sides. Therefore, the guys ran around, looked for each other a little and drove each in his own way.
The only navigation aid the navigator had was an old compass. He followed him and went.
He left the chase through the snow and forests, hid from patrols, forced the rivers that had just opened from the ice and went forward. To the north. To their own.
Walked for a long time.
I am sure that the story of this heroic navigator will be reflected in the script of the film or in the book, because there is something for him to tell and something to show. But now I wanted to tell not about this heroic navigator.
And about the Ukrainians.
When the military pilot, after crossing the next river, became completely crappy, he went into the Ukrainian village and knocked on the hut from the edge.
And everywhere he was fed, dried, given a roof and assisted.
No one denied him blood. No one handed him over to Khokhols, no one poisoned or offended him. Not by word, not by deed. Not a single Ukrainian.
And again he went forward.
On the third day in another village, he also knocked on the door, and the hostess opened it for him. She saw a dirty, wet, frozen armed military aircraft in a Russian uniform and NAZ IR, and taking him in an armful, she dragged him into the hut without asking any questions.
I immediately got through to my husband, who was receiving humanitarian aid from Russian servicemen in a neighboring village. Well, there is already a matter of technology.
Having asked the peasant to hand over the phone to the nearest Russian military officer, the military pilot described the state of affairs in two sentences, and fifteen minutes later our soldiers rushed to the village for the military aircraft.
It seems to me that in the life of a navigator it was the longest 15 minutes in his life.
During these three days, he traveled nearly a hundred kilometers along the deep rear of the enemy.
Son of the steppes. Pretty boy.

By the way, anybody knows/read/heard if Prokopenko, Azov commander, is in Mariupol or not? Kalina, deputy commander, was taken in custody, but I have not heard anything about Prokopenko…
———————————————————————————-
Good question.
Here is the beginning of an answer.
————————————————-
Azov leaders Biletsky, Radish and Volyn prepared for the worst
On the evening of May 18, Svyatoslav Palamar (Kalina), the Russian military deputy commander of Azov, left the territory of Azovstal and surrendered. In recent weeks, this character has become the “voice” of the Nazis who settled in the factory. He released videos on the Internet with desperate calls for help. Help to those blocked in the dungeons of Azovstal did not come, it was also not possible to agree on export to a third country. And I didn’t want to die. I had to give up.
Sources report that Kalina, like a number of his “brothers-in-law”, has already been placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Rostov-on-Don, popularly known as “Bogatyanovsky Central”. This is a famous institution with a rich history – it was built in 1768, under Catherine. Whoever was sitting there. The Germans shot anti-fascists in the courtyard during the occupation. And in the house opposite, they say, once there was the same famous pub on Bogatyanovskaya from the song, in which “the company of the blatnaya gathered.” There is no doubt that Kalina will spend unforgettable hours in this institution.
During the SVO, Palamar became the most recognizable Nazi of Azov (recognized in Russia as extremist, banned). But media fame often doesn’t mean the real “weight” of a person in an organization.
Of course, Kalina knows a lot, so he was transported to Rostov, so that Russian investigators could thoroughly work with him there. But the larger prey is, of course, its commander Denis Prokopenko with the call sign “Radishes”.
During his recent “broadcast” on the network, Prokopenko looked so clean and fresh that rumors even spread that he, along with another Nazi, Volyn, somehow managed to leave the dungeons of the metallurgical plant. “Prokopenko has been in Kiev for a long time, filming the video in the entrance,” says ex-MP Ilya Kiva. But, apparently, this is not the case, since his wife Catherine recently in an audience with the Pope begged the pontiff to facilitate the extradition of Radish to a third country. I doubt that Prokopenko is capable of suicide, so we are waiting for his release.
According to the commander of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, over the past few days, more than 1,800 people have left Azovstal and surrendered. The total number of militants in the dungeons of Azovstal at the time of the beginning of their surrender, according to Khodakovsky, was about two and a half thousand.
And what about the leaders of Azov – the founding fathers of the battalion, its curators, sponsors? How do they react to the shame and death of their beloved offspring?
They pretend that nothing special is happening and everything was intended that way. The founder and ex-commander of the neo-Nazi battalion, Andriy Biletsky, reports that the Azov team “carried out the order” and for 82 days “pulled back the superior forces of the enemy,” allowing the Ukrainian army to regroup. And now ,for the sake of saving lives,” the Mariupol garrison allegedly “fulfills the decision of the high military command.”
Also, the “white leader” (Biletsky’s amateur titut) asks to refrain from commenting and assessing what is happening, so as not to harm the “rescue operation” of the Azov people. Where Biletsky himself is now is not reliably known. But definitely not on the front lines. His hasty flight from Kiev was reported the day after the start of the special operation of the Russian Federation.
According to the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vitaly Zakharchenko, Biletsky and his family left their Kiev apartment at 5 am on February 24. Probably, he is now in Lviv. A touching touch to the portrait: according to Ukrainian channels, Biletsky in March refused to lead the operation to free the Azov Nazis blocked in Mariupol, which Zelensky offered him to do.
In the social networks of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and ex-adviser to the curator of “Azov” Arsen Avakov – Anton Gerashchenko about the surrender of the Azov people in captivity, you will not find anything. Gerashchenko considers more important the news about the creation of a “combat embroidery”, in which Kiev intends to dress its military. He devoted an entire post to this today.
Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov himself, who had been in charge of Azov since its inception, advised Prokopenko and others remaining under Azovstal to surrender. “Azov” fulfilled its task in Mariupol… Live, Denis,” Avakov wrote on the social network.

A very good publication in Russian, added it to my Russian sources.
Here is another article, same publication, along the lines of the one you posted, which also answers some questions posed in the same article. In this one they explain Putin’s strategy as basically a war of attrition, and for a better name the article calls it “Operation Exhaustion.”
——————————————————————————
Putin has changed his strategy with Ukraine: Operation Exhaustion
“….Of course, all these economic games cannot be considered an alternative to the successful course of a military special operation. But here, the Kremlin seems to be pursuing the same strategy. Priority is given not to the speed of completing tasks, but to the very fact of their implementation.
A relevant example: Putin refused to storm Azovstal because it was unnecessary. And the tactics of exhausting the enemy really turned out to be winning.
Of course, faced with Moscow’s new strategy, Kiev and the collective West are not sitting idly by either. In response to the Kremlin’s actions, the “partners” are adjusting, reshaping, and refining their own strategy of attrition. Which of these strategies will be more effective, sustainable and more backed by reserves will determine the final outcome of the current crisis…”
——————————————————————
“KYIV, Ukraine—Ukraine’s military intelligence chief said the country would keep fighting until it evicts Russian forces from all of its territory—including Crimea and other areas effectively seized by Moscow in 2014”
This has been published in many Western places already. It is very significant. If wrong, the sources will lose credibility and it’s from “intelligence” sources. If you are an “intelligence” service, you want to keep a high reputation. right? Both in your eyes and in the eyes of the others. This will become known as something that was either true or untrue:
A.Deplorable Not 20 million, but only 15,5 million. What a very “big” population !!!!!!!!!!
Don’t forget about Hungary…:)
Hungary’s government prefer supporting own financial and other interests, from this point of view Scandinavia do not play any role.
Here is an article discussing this topic: https://www.globalresearch.ca/finland-sweden-suicide-pact-us-nato-agenda-counter-russia/5780579
Turkey’s “demands” are a polite way of saying “HELL NO.”
Seriously Mary, one must love it, right?
Turkey loves to strut and preen before thrusting its hind quarters in the air. Nobody remember Furkan Dogan?
Hungary is probably under extreme pressure to comply with Uncle $am’s dictates, but Hungary’s is the only likely veto.
Turkey should unleash the immigrants on Europe it is holding back. :) : )
That will get EOLs and EUs attention fast.
NO – you will have to accept 52, Australia (where I am) is the 51st state – always has been since 1941.
LOL. You are both right in a way. I call it “5 Eyes +” so USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and then the plus part of Israel, all the European losers and other affiliated flunkies.
So Sweden and Finland want to be full losers not just half losers.
@Gerdt Malm
Nicely put. Only the mercy and forgiveness of the Slav’s soul can save the Europeans nations.
Croatia just said no till this and that sorterd. As long as the Funns have bought the F35, Murikan salesmen are happy.
Only Croatia’s president said no — and the president has no say in the matter.
Why to these countries want such an expensive piece of junk that can barely fly, let alone fight? They must have been ‘bought’!
@ Gab
“… Apparently the only Scandinavians left with some real pride are the extreme metal bands out there! …”
That’s right!
Experience the “Night Witches” by the Swedish power metal band Sabaton:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xET1aTbiHno
It is dedicated to the all-female Soviet 588th bomber regiment, who got the nickname ‘Night Witches’ from the sound their planes made after they killed their engines for maximum effect. This sound made Germans think of the broomsticks of witches, and they called them “Nachthexen”.
Don’t miss the history:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKd2_GGtNRw
30 of them died.
Compared to the 100,000 male pilots who died in the gpw.
Female contribution as always has been massively overstated.
I’m a bit surprised Croatia intends to veto, I always took it to be a mini-Ukraine that hates Serbia.
Times are slowly ever so slowly changing;
You know, Kalibr Biryuza.
they are following delusional pathways been ducked into the hysteria and subsumed by US psychopathia
now very vulnerable to being swept up to increased risk levels that are fragile….the opposite of what they should be doing
Both Turkey and Croatia will veto it – so this is a stillborn proposition.
Erdogan must have promised Putin noway I will let these two meatballs in scandinavia join NATO. It will final nail in the coffin for Europe.
Finland has already been subsumed into the Eurozone. It is now a colony of the ECB, not a country, with no more sovereign independence than Alabama.
Sweden trapped within the EU ultimately has to go with the international policies decided by the EU commissioners.
An article of interest published by U.S. Army War College shortly after the Orange Revolution:
“Ukraine After the Orange Revolution: Can It Complete Military Transformation and Join the U.S.-Led War on Terrorism?” by Deborah Sanders Dr.
October 2006
https://press.armywarcollege.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1708&context=monographs
Ukraine in Afghanistan — who would have guessed?
Most of Europe is in Aganistan and not just Ukraine.
Have a go and read what certain man was saying about this country 27 years ago…….. Your surprise will pass like the morning dew in summer……

. . . For the sake of Ukraine, and to uphold and preserve the principles of peace and order, we are calling for the international cultural community to:

You see? Mr. Soros and Ukraine are all about “freedom of expression”!
@Hey,Hey,Hey: “5. Stop covering Russian culture in the media.”
There goes my Russian Salad. Shall we order a Freedom Salad?
Only if you order Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast on the side.

You have been duly warned.
Gut busting hilarious
@Denzel73
I have to say that was a bad ass, in a good way, comment. I mean, like wow.
Much of the ongoing battle for America’s soul is about healing the souls of these Americans and rousing them from the stupefying glut of commodity and spectacle. It is about making sure that they—and we—refuse to accept torture as the act of “heroes” and babies deformed by depleted uranium as the “price of freedom.” Caught up in the great self-referential hologram of imperial America, force-fed goods and hubris like fattened steers, working people like World Championship Wrestling and Confederate flags and flat-screen televisions and the idea of an American empire.
https://fivegunswest.blogspot.com/2022/05/pressure-wash-your-tonsils.html
There is some Republican anti-war opposition, and it may be heating up. The Democrat side is all-in, though, including the Squad types.
Why does no one question the democratic nature of Finnish and Swedish membership of NATO? Why is there not even talk of a referendum on the subject?
Norway never had one either. I have always voted for parties against NATO, now there’s none.
@Mika
What Mika said. Absolutely.
Because this step follows decades of intelligence cooperation with the Americans and Nato.
I hope the West loses, badly.
I wish the US Hato will stop destroying my whole world, any day is good now please dear Lord.
I guess Russia will probably end up being forced to continue a war Russia never wanted and did NOT start. But they will Finish it, ha ha

“The war could have been avoided if NATO had heeded the warnings from amongst its own leaders and officials over the years that its eastward expansion would lead to greater, not less, instability in the region,” Ramaphosa said in response to questions in parliament. . . . Ramaphosa’s African National Congress party, which has governed South Africa since white minority rule ended in 1994, had strong ties to the former Soviet Union, which trained and supported anti-apartheid activists during the Cold War.”

thank you for this link.
Throwing a question out –
What would stop the war party in Washington from escalating the Ukraine conflict next year and beyond ? The war party seems he’ll bent on big time escalation. How to stop ?
China will stop with supply chain disruption. Can’t continue without diesel.
Mary,
if Washington sanctions China – then yes it stops the escalation big time. Because Chins would stop exporting stuff to US.
WTFUD,
If stopping the escalation requires yuge casualties among Americans, then unlikely to happen. The War Party is clever about finding foreign cannon fodder.
Great answers to my question thank you
Exile, America has no problem with yuge casualties among Americans as long as it can point blame at “other.” Just look at deathjab mandates, including for our military. The deaths & disabilities of the jabbed & boosted are not due to deathjabs. They’re due to “antivaxxers.”
We, the healthy purebloods, who saw through the ruse & refused, are the blamed & hated here! They call for our deaths.
War is the only thing America knows.
It will stop when the rest of the world stops it.
America doesn’t fight wars in the Homeland, just uses needlerape here at home.
It will require the rest of the world to stop America, and fast.
Please.
America is a sinking ship of fools.
I know .
I live here, in jail.
The Ukie military would have long surrendere.. d the controlling Azovs having being slowly castrated.. 16,000 surremdered 2 days ago in E Ukr.
“16,000 surrendered 2 days ago in E Ukr”
Based on what sources?
Any foreign fish caught in the past two days from Azovstal sharks and lemmings yet?
No dispute, Friend. But remark>
“Howitzers Proving Very Effective Against Russians, DOD Official Says”
https://www.defense.gov/News/News-Stories/Article/Article/3032926/howitzers-proving-very-effective-against-russians-dod-official-says/
Ukraine Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov told Austin that 74 of the 90 M777 artillery cannons that the U.S. supplied Ukraine are forward in the fight.
M777 costs around $0.7M @.
Scott Ritter has expressed concern that billions of dollars of arms funneled into the region could change the balance of power.
One pathological liar and one US ex-marine just read the Julian Assange Act don’t mean jack.
The gist of their report seems to be this:
===============================================================
“We do believe that the howitzers … are having an impact, particularly in Kharkiv. Now is that the only reason? I don’t think we would go that far to say that, but we do believe that the systems they’re getting — not just the U.S. systems but the systems from other countries — are absolutely helping them regain some momentum and to take back some territory,” the official said.
https://www.defense.gov/News/News-Stories/Article/Article/3032926/howitzers-proving-very-effective-against-russians-dod-official-says/
===============================================================
There is very little substance here. Kharkiv is not crucial at the moment. The “some territory” is too vague to be taken seriously.
I watched a recent discussion with Scott Ritter. He didn’t say funneling weapons could change the balance of power. He said it would cause the war to drag on longer and cause more deaths. He said Russia would still win but it will just take longer because of the West pouring in weapons.
https://youtu.be/eBnGdCCIRFc
Is the US changing its strategy on Ukraine?

Lend-lease baby.
We zig you pay, we zag you lose.
Time now.
What did You say? Russia dont play dat game? – well, you are ukraine. You pay.
NOW!
A pound of flesh if you will…
US had 999 of the M777 howitzers, now 909.
@imagine
You’re missing the point – the US is already bankrupt and has been for decades. The politicians just keep printing more money and handing it to their sponsors: the military, energy, financial, and health (insurance+pharma) complexes.
“how does this war ever end?”
That’s the change that has to happen.
…. Until the majority of the US population, personally, encounter a pain coming from the Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine, the SMO will continue…….
And how does that pain happen ? Through economic collapse or ?
What makes you think the American people elected most of those idiots in D.C? As Stalin said, your vote doesn’t matter; who counts the vote matters.
Azovstal will be demolished, and the metallurgical plant named after Ilyich will be restored – Pushilin.
Interesting article titled Canada and the Banderites
Canada and the Banderites
by Thierry Meyssan
In previous articles, Thierry Meyssan has shown how the Banderites, collaborators of the worst Nazi exactions in Ukraine and Poland, came to power in Kiev, in the young independent Ukraine. He shows here that, for eighty years, Banderite immigrants have been embedded in the Canadian Liberal Party to the point of occupying the number two position in Justin Trudeau’s current government.
https://www.voltairenet.org/article216785.html
A number of these fascists set up home in England after the war. The UK is a rotten corpse and sanctuary for these types of vermin. Vermin always attracts vermin.
Correct!! but after the Galizien SS were sent to Britian many were sent on to Canada, thats why there is a strong Nazi infestation in Canada, there is quite a large Ukrainian community in the towns in my area,i would think scratch the surface i expect there are some real horror stories if these people looked at their family histories.
I have another one. Dirt always praises itself :-D.
Chrystia Freeland/Chomiak has been keeping a very low profile because of the looming destruction of Ukraine. She’ll need a truckload if depends if/when high ranking Canadian military personnel are extracted from Azovstal.
A conspiracy is brewing in the Ukrainian “elites”
————————————
Translated from Russian from a certain Telegram channel. Cannot guarantee the info, but there could some truth in it…:)
“…nationalists believe that Zelensky is already secretly preparing to surrender the country and flee to the West.”
It takes no genius to figure that one. The “flee to the West” is what matters to him.
When the day arrives to say to his main aide, “everybody has become a traitor here”, they both leave (flee). It’s part of the dance so to speak.
He knows, I presume, full well what happened to Iraq CIA asset Hussein and Qaddafi, after shaking hands :

From Glazyev for thinking people:
I will soon prepare a set of tasks and directions that are relevant for implementation in Russia.
https://t.me/glazieview/1738
Russia lists 43,000 non-recoverable losses for the UAF – a horrendous carnage.
UAF do not even try to recover the lost.
Since Russia is bombing Ukrainian forces a lot with heavy artillery and planes, the number of casualties must be very high.
Biden’s DHS Disinformation chief Jankovicz resigned!

Are all the trees in the forest falling?

Mariupol: Back to school
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfpJLae7pZM

@voenkorKotenok
And keep with the essentials,
like Otava yo does

“To settle the Ukraine question and go back to a Cold War risks giving the West a chance to analyze Russia with respect rather than blind contempt, and perhaps the next round of leaders will not be quite so incompetent.”
Great example of slowed – historical – thinking.
Would you be good enough to supply the source? It’s a devastating comment.

Bush’s latest gaffe:
Both Putin, Lavrov and Zakharova are always precise in their language and wording, “the Empire of lies and hypocrisy”.
The need to distract from this debacle is why many of us are expecting a particularly nasty false flag any time now.
The DPR Military isn‘t going to release the names of NATO officers it has captured until these Officers are screened for war crimes.

After the war…
According to “Military Chronicle,”
The period of disintegration of the Ukrainian army has begun… (2022)
https://voenhronika.ru/publ/vojna_na_ukraine/period_raspada_ukrainskoj_armii_nachalsja_2022/60-1-0-12136

A good summary of the directions the SMO offensive is heading right now, plus plenty of videos.
https://voenhronika.ru/publ/vojna_na_ukraine/kalina_v_plenu_komandir_polka_azova_v_mariupole_vyshel_s_podnjatymi_rukami_svodki_s_ukrainy_utro_19_maja_18_video/60-1-0-12147

A document I came accross today, about torture used in Ukraine. It is confirmed that both the red cross and the UN are aware about what happened there (see after 29:00) :

It looks like Mr. Ritter is back to his old self:
================================================================
“With a $40 billion plan, the US is setting itself up for an expensive failure in Ukraine”
https://www.rt.com/news/555674-american-military-aid-trap/
================================================================
Good point.
not $ 7 billions …but $ 85 billions….lost…so this is a reason for why DS sent to 404 country already $50billions since Feb.2022….
The last seems correct to me:
The military and even police in Sweden have a (large) ‘subculture’ that are simply fascists. This is traditional.
From Col. Cassad:
More about Ukrainians.
Pretty boy.
So there are Ukrainians, and there are Ukrainians.
Don’t confuse them.

By the way, anybody knows/read/heard if Prokopenko, Azov commander, is in Mariupol or not? Kalina, deputy commander, was taken in custody, but I have not heard anything about Prokopenko…
———————————————————————————-
Good question.
Here is the beginning of an answer.

Thanks SteveK9.
