Ukrainian refugees are showing their mettle by knifing and killing a man in Poland who stepped up to defend a young woman that was harassed by the refugees. Other stories are coming out of Europe of refugees refusing to live next to people that are not white and four of them just decided to grab a villa in France, belonging to a Russian, and they moved right in. This trend can only continue.
A further trend: All of the reliable commentators on the SMO indicate that it is soon over. We do not know the shape that it will take though. Martyanov speaks about a definite trend on accelerating demoralization of VSU and the pronounced trend on the collapse of the VSU defenses as we can see from lack of equipment, ammo and very high losses. Ritter in his last video, talks about days or weeks. Larry Johnson talks about a Ukraine headed for defeat.
Today the Russian delegation to the UN will take the latest documents on military biological activities of the United States on the territory of Ukraine to the Security Council.
Zelenski is not dominating the MSM headlines in the last number of days.
For this open thread, the moderation policy will be in full effect.
Judging from the last UN Security Council meeting, I do not have much confidence in this coming meeting being anything other than a repeat.
MSM downplaying Russia’s evidence as ‘claims’ and denigrating their research which should concern every human on this planet. Furthermore they will twisting it to imply Russia is the one threatening chemical/biological false flags.
With the USA and UK as Security Council members with veto power, the UNSC cannot do anything that Washington dislikes. Fortunately the veto effect works the other way too, as Russia (and if necessary China) can block resolutions they don’t approve of.
Maybe better King Log than King Stork.
It does put all the evidence in the public realm so those of us who want to view and verify it can. Aside from that it is like Spec Ops said. Propaganda coverup 101.

Use a VPN to bypass your ISP censorship
The OPERA VPN is a free solution in some cases, if you dont mind it is Chinese-owned, I think. If Linux user, download from snap or flatpak repos they have more reliable and updated versions.
In certain cases free TOR or Tails might be of help as well. It is advisable to use them with Brave. Based on chrome browser, but much more safer.
Mostly RT and other webs are not blocks, in facts. Your provider blocks you from the acces to these webs. Imho, Russia and China do the same censorship thing too.
Russia is at war, at war with NATO and Hohols are just a proxy. However, RT s behavior has really been rather odd. Very strange people must run RT, methinks.
That is because Uncle $hmuel owns the UN.
For those wondering why they are not getting to watch a thrilling reenactment of Operation Bagration, a few thoughts…
The current Russian strategy, from my observations, is to break the Ukrainian military. Not break the Ukraine.
While this course of action must, sadly, cost the lives of many Ukrainian soldiers; it spares the civilian population to the greatest extent possible. It will also dramatically reduce potential Russian casualties.
War is hell, but Russia is trying to keep the thermostat as low as practicable.
Agree. This trend was evident from the beginning of SMO. The reason for any delays eradicating the Azov extremists supported by NATO is what you mentioned. What amazes me as an outsider is the very strange transformation of the entire population of a once highly educated, civilized and if not mistaken prosperous Ukraine when it was part of the USSR, into the current Americanized army of thugs willing to die for nothing.
Societal change on that scale is not surprising at all. There are many examples. After financial enslavement and educational capture, roving paramilitary death squads accelerate the transformation. Guatemala, Colombia, Syria, Libya just a few examples.
…yes but none of them can be compared to Ukraine. Those countries were still from the old time having large tribes, clans etc. and not modern so to speak. Ukraine was a modern, highly industrial.
The million $$$$$$ question. What drugs are they giving these kids?
Ukraine could be prosperous, but it is not. It is much poorer than Russia, and it was richer than Russia when URSS falled. Probably because of untamed corruption. In PPP the gdp per capita of Ucraine is probably lower today than in the early ninities, 30% of working age ukraneans left for EU countries or Russia as economic migrants.
The trouble is that the instinct to defend one’s territory is very deep-seated and powerful. It doesn’t even take a very compelling speaker to appeal to those emotions; and what’s more, the appeal is by its very nature “wholesale” – every citizen feels the spirit of patriotism, and they all encourage one another.
The Ukrainians have had eight years of rhetoric and racist attacks on Russia – and before that 24 years of more gradual, unobtrusive nationalism. Now, when Russian forces break into Ukraine and start attacking installations and the UAF who can easily be depicted as brave defenders, it is only natural for a lot of Ukrainians to rally to the flag.
Hermann Goering explained how it works in language so simple and straightforward that it could not be bettered.
‘We got around to the subject of war again and I said that, contrary to his attitude, I did not think that the common people are very thankful for leaders who bring them war and destruction.
‘”Why, of course, the people don’t want war,” Goering shrugged. “Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don’t want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship.”
‘”There is one difference,” I pointed out. “In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars.”
‘”Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country”‘.
– Conversation with Hermann Goering in prison, reported by Gustave Gilbert
All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.
I tried examining that sentence with a magnifying glass looking for differences from the current situation in the west. No differences could be found.
Not the entire population. Most Ukrainians wanted to continue good relations with both Russia and the EU. Many preferred Russia over the EU. The US interference (when did it start?) reached eruption in the coup of 2014, and since then Ukrainians have been killing Ukrainians. And it’s mostly men who are doing this; half the population was female and less likely to be the “Americanized army of thugs”.
More interesting for me is the speed with which “the west” has been whipped into stupidity and self-harm by the Jewish media. Germany cuts off Russian fuel, the US conspires to murder, Japan takes in many, many Ukrainian refugees.
In 2021, Japan allowed 580 people to stay in the country on humanitarian grounds:

As a child of western culture -this popped up in my mind.
https://youtu.be/jOxHsuV83KA
I have wondered why, with the care Russia has taken to destroy military targets and avoid not only civilians but infrastructure like electricity, water, internet, why the number of alleged refugees flowing into other countries is supposedly 90% women and children. Do these women, who in most parts of Ukraine are probably not in danger, not mind at all leaving their men to fight and die “for Ukraine”, while they accept hospitality from people far away?
Women, qua our biological nature, are seeking social security and safety by someone who can protect them due to their vulnerability and responsibility for children.
If their men cant provide that, women will seek to other places or men who can.
This is cruel, but both parts are left without a choice. Men are being threatened to be shot if they dont fight in a stupid war, and women are left vulnerable with kids in wartime without a protector.
Spot on Tommy. Most female mammals are that way. When a male lion takes over a pride by defeating the reigning male lion…he kills the cubs. The females quickly go into estrous and mate with the new king lion. Women go for men with resources. It’s nature.
Of course the women mind. The limited choice they have is a difficult choice. Top priority is keeping the children safe. They’ll need an adult, so that’s the mother. A father would be nice too, but “Zelensky” says no.
Maybe these women can see that Putin keeps his word. Even so, with civilians out of the way Russia could destroy any building that could hide militants. Your “probably not in danger” is true only until it is not true.
“It will also dramatically reduce potential Russian casualties.”
Which is extremely important, considering the fact that this is just a warm up, the real game has not started yet, and Russia will need its best players from the very beginning of that game.
Personally I think that the Russian army is being cautious because they are awaiting another hammer to fall.
The Ukrainian army is not the main threat to Russia here.
Another aspect to consider is operating the war at a tempo that is permanently economically sustainable.
Operation Bagration started on June 22. Rivers and streams are in flood, sharply hurting any operational success
When Putin said demilitarisation and denazification were the goal he meant it.
We are truly honoured to witness a Statesman in action.
Just reading the Russian President’s speeches, especially in Russian, is a treat.
And then he does what he promised. Unbelievable, I know
Zelinsky was live broadcasting yesterday at a famous university in Paris.
He really has nothing else to do? His military is collapsing and the guy talk one hour with students from Paris.
https://youtu.be/kELUcipZPrs
What’s next? A tv reality show ”war was fantastic”, a circus, a movie, a book, zelinsky ‘on tour’ at Madison square garden?
Elenskii in Paris University speech? He will run for Governor of California as did Arnie.
California and Zelinsky deserve each other!!!
Why stop with California? Prediction: Dems and Reps will unite to ram through an amendment to allow foreign-born presidents. Zelensky 2024! “The New George Washington!” “He’ll save us like he saved Ukraine!”
The USA is a corporation since 1871. The CEO( house boy) can be any nationality.
Many thanks, James, for the laugh! It’s like Caitlin Johnston’s essay about the U.S. House of Representatives giving Biden $6.8 billion more than he asked for Ukraine while decoupling covid relief for Americans. What else can you do with constant insanity than sometimes make jokes?
Biden did declare that if a black person didn’t vote for him, then, “you ain’t black!” I imagine soon, Biden will tell us that if any American won’t sacrifice for the Nazis in Ukraine, then they aren’t American.
“He’ll save us like he saved Ukraine!”
A consummation devoutly to be desired.
You forgot another”Penis Piano Live Show”. That is one of Zelensky’s favorites.

Good point War is On. Very good point in fact. He’s got so high on his own invulnerability and importance his only interest seems to be to being on the media as much as he can be. Worrying stuff.
Zelensky and Juan Guido could jointly host dinner parties where the assembled worthies could discuss topics such as irrelevancy.
My guess is he and his family etc are now in England
Good guess Ivil.
Is Leadership Class of Europe and America using Ukraine and Covid to destroy their middle class? What other explanations are there?
It looks like that to me to. I would say the goal is primarily to destroy the continental European middle and lower class. Purpose of this being to once more raise the Fasicst Nazi monster in Europe for the purpose of war.
It’s existential for Empire, IMO they will burn down Europe in the hope of destroying Russia. If they can not win that battle it’s over for them. Even though it does look like it already is to late, the wheels was set in motion a long time ago and the breaks seems to be broken.
The ultimate goal is to facilitate the Anti Christ’s rule from Jerusalem as the next Ruling State of the world, after UK, and USA.
To achieve this , it is necessary to destroy American financial and military hegemony. Killing the Dollar is the first step. As US economy and Dollar plunges, it takes down with it a large part of the world. It seems a crazy prognosis at this juncture. Let us wait and watch.
No other group tries to create dirty wars other than one.
It certainly looks like that is the real plan. For those brainwashed into pro-war status: is a regime which has in effect declared war on you by medicofascism trustworthy when it demands you fight a war against the opposing power against which they have been running a cold war for nine years or so since it spoiled their plans to de-civilize Syria? The latest stuff on their using ethnic Russian insane asylum inmates for bioweapons testing takes away any doubt on who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. The Nazi continuity is undeniable.
You mean Zionism? Yes. That’s what they’re doing. Starving the people makes us more likely to embrace the corporate state. That’s the theory they are working with. See Weimar republic

There’s talk on the internet news sources that when Finland joins NATO, the Baltic Sea will then become a NATO sea. Will Russia permit that?
In that case Russia will have to take out the Globus surveillance facility on Norwegian Vardoe island to secure access to North Atlantic.
While I have the upmost respect for the Russian army, its navy not so much
The submarine force is impressive, but the soviet era surface fleet is of poor quality
The dominant force in the Baltic is probably Sweden, although it being an inland sea air power would likley be the deciding factor
The fact that it is 2022, and “who has the strongest navy in the baltic” has relevance like its 1022 is very telling of where humanity is. Inverted leadership that serves itself at cost to the people keeps us so stupid we allow it to continue, instead of killing the parasites, we just keep feeding them our children.
Sweden might have an excellent navy but they might not even leave their harbors with a hypersonic missile attack.
Kinshal and Zircon will be enough to take care of that
NATO member Turkey has already stated they won’t allow Sweden or Finland to join NATO. Only requires one member of the 30 NATO countries to veto membership.
Erdogan pays Putin back for keeping him alive and in power
Perhaps there is other reasons Turkey is opposed to Sweden and Finland joining NATO, or maybe it is holding out for a major bribe.
Thank you Turkey! I love Finland, but this idea of joining the USer militants is supremely stupid. Russia has shown no interest in attacking its partner, Finland.
Finland has 5,5 million inhabitants, Ukraine has 40 million.
Its not impossible but much easier to do the same thing with Finland as is being done with Ukraine, demilitarisation.
Wipe out all military installations and commands in Finland, let them feel the heat if they are not wise enough to stay reasonable to their neighbour.
UN is just another US controlled fake organisation. It has outlived its usefulness. Shameful. The original idea was good.
Can’t agree with that, yes the US has made the UN somewhat spineless to eliminate any potential threat to it’s hegemony. But the idea, the very title of the United Nations is powerful, and the idea of a just international law follows it’s charter. The Russians have been trying to get the Americans to follow it for years. Also there are many worthwhile programs under its umbrella that feed the hungry and help those in desperate situations all over the world. Nope our best hope imo is a powerful UN with a military alliance comprised of the majority of the nations on this Earth.
Sorry but the UN has been just a cesspool of corruption and inefficacy since ever, and lately has been a tool for ideological globalisation, far beyond its stated principles. Failed every test it has been subjected to, starting with the Korean war.
Leave it like Hitler left the league of nations.
The UN will fall and replaced with BRICS+++++
@Juan
It’s true the UN is corrupt and created as a tool to legitimize globalist action but it’s also an institution that can be leveraged against them. Russia has a security council seat and it would be stupid to waste the veto power it has.
The globalists want the UN because it gives legitimacy to their actions. But this can be turned against them by blocking them in the UN zone 2 can force them to operate outside of the UN and by doing so delegitimizing their actions.
Remember the unilateral invasions, occupations and devastations of countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, all without UN approval!
The enormous devastations, war crimes, human rights violations are well documented yet no action could be taken against America. In fact, the former American President George Bush threatened to invade Netherlands if any American was tried for war crimes.
The UN and other international institutions are useful for the super power nations to subjugate and exploit the poor and weaker nations.
Globalists have no army. If they cannot control powerful armies they have little power. The US and its dollar defended by it’s various national and international armies/alliances/mercenaries is essential to globalism. It is still anglos(USA AUS UK CAN) running the show. Perhaps not for that much longer. The fantasy of banks running anything without governments/armies and police is looking at one leg of a 3 legged stool.
Sorry, but the UN was broken during the Yugoslav civil wars and now it continues as an inept organisation pushing political agenda of the US , EU and NATO. There is nothing international about it and nothing to enforce the charter anymore. Before the UN had truly an international force, UN troops were stationed in Cyprus and later in Yugoslavia that was truly international. For some reason, NATO took over the ‘enforcing role? SInce when is NATO part of the UN Charter? Now it is.
It is dead just like the league of nations died.
Putin has said he would accept UN peace people on border line of contact before this happend.
No response.
The UN is beyond repair. It has too many design flaws. I think China, Russia, India, the emerging economies and the non-aligned countries should get together to found an alternative international organization somewhere in a small neutral country. There shouldn’t be any veto powers and countries’ voting rights should be weighted according to size, GDP, contributions, aid for development, environmental record, etc.
The big problem with UN aside from rampant corruption is its location i.e. the filthy NY. That gay/lesbian infested city isn’t the appropriate location for the UN. Besides when you’re saying our best hope is a joint military alliance, in the current circumstances this is exactly what NATO’s expansion is all about, then do you mean NATO is humanity’s last hope for salvation? I have a better solution, namely, the ideal solution would be first relocating the UN from NY to a more appropriate place that has better history and more dignity. Then, take away the US dollar privileged status away from the hands of the kids in Washington and their Zio handlers. Third, the world should help Mexico take back the three southern states of Texas, New Mexico and Nevada. Fourth, The eastern Parts of the US would go back to the native Indian tribes that lived there before the arrival of the newcomers by boat. Fifth, The northern states of Michigan, Main etc. can join Canada. Why Canada?, because Canada (without Trudeau of course) is a more responsible nation due to its historic links to the UK. Sixth, Biden must reimburse the blacks, Latinos, natives for all the crimes committed by the newcomers from Europe after the discovery of the Americas. Seventh, London must reimburse India and Ireland for all the crimes committed against them.
I still think it is useful, however the problems of the world is reflected in it.
The US is buying friends and votes, but when the money runs out the ‘friends’ are gone.
I think it would work much more as intended when we finally come around to a multi-polar world.
It’s more than just buying. We also threaten in a very mafia-like way. During the first General Assembly vote about Ukraine, it was very heavily anti-Russian, but non-binding, so not terribly important. Nevertheless, afterwards several delegates complained that their families had been threatened in a really pathetic manner. One, for example, said that he was told if he didn’t vote with the U.S. his child would be put out of his private school there in New York. The U.S. should be given a permanent time-out from any group activities!
A co-worker recently pointed out (with keen insight) that many great ideas like democracy, communism, the UN, etc., are always idyllic, and rarely (if ever) take into account basic human crappy behavior. We need to change they way think, and how / what we prioritize.
At my most optimistic, I would say we’re witnessing the beginning of a shift in a more positive direction; Iran, Syria, and Russia are (have been) showing us that it is possible to stand up to bullies, and China is showing that it is possible for nations and peoples to cooperate with each other, rather than dominate each other.
True, it’s only nascent at this stage; but the likelihood of a truly “better world” is increasing.
/fingers crossed

Clown world….
The Russian Consulate is located in Fullerton Street Woollahra (Sydney) … it’s a very nice tree lined street with stately homes and directly across from the consulate is a multi storey apartment complex… thus many people live in this street….. but the municipal council is proposing to change the street name to ‘Ukraine Street’…
Image having to change every legal document to change your address … not because you have moved but because some idiot wants to ‘help Ukraine’.
Well the downunder vassal has two “Life Coaches” in Brandon & Bojo to appease.
‘the municipal council is proposing to change the street name to ‘Ukraine Street’…’
Good move. Just in time for the Ukraine surrender to Russia. So the sovereign territory of the Russian embassy will be quite appropriately located. Maybe they should also rename Woollahra (Sydney) to Taiwan in time for that forthcoming takeover.
And then there’s the possibility that Ukraine ceases to exist altogether.
The phrase “Madness of crowds” is becoming all to applicable…
The vultures in Poland & Romania are salivating at the prospect of tearing a chunk off of the carcass already.
The Iranians changed the name of the street where the British embassy in Teheran is located to Bobby Sands avenue in tribute to the IRA hunger striker and MP in 1981, so two can play the game of trolling
It just highlighted the wide gap between those in political power and those having to live with their reality. Every single person living in that street even a Ukrainian descendent, all said it was stupid and futile. They complained they would have to change all their address details on all their documents to prove what.
The head of a Ukrainian org was their, only with her partner and van, while the media was interviewing and she said it would be uplifting for Ukraine’s morale.
The vice consul came out and just handed over a 3 paragraph response to which the reporter stated excitedly along the lines “so the Russian consulate supports the move” to which in typical Russian pragmatic fashion the vice consul said “just read”. It said no such thing, honestly I think all normal Australians watching it would have been cringing.
This is what we in the west are dealing with, the collective suicide and dumbing down of our society and economy. If the Russians would just start trolling and move the consulate to the next street and so on and so on, every street will be Ukraine St, then and only then could we be complete.
Lots of heavy lifting going on all along the LOC.
The most entrenched area in front of Donesk is being pounded by everything that shoots anything. Poor bastards.
The Ukrainians do seem to be able to move, no lack of fuel, in the Karakov area, right up to the Russian Border.
Surprisingly Ukraine still appears to have a command and control structure that still functions, to a degree that can, has and will continue to inflict human losses on the RF LDNR side. Not sure what to make of that as it is the ‘head’ that needs to be severed the most.
Cheers M
A spoiling attack of little operational value and even less evidence of existence, is not going to distract the Russian armed forces from neutralizing the Ukrainian army in the Donbass.
That command and control is US special forces
Yet Ukrainian forces in the Donbas are still getting deliveries of weapons:
“Ukroresources announces the arrival of American M777 howitzers in those units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that have not yet been driven out by the Russian army from the Donbass.”
https://t.me/s/voenkorKotenok
I don’t believe it, noam jojo. Russia can see those big guns from space.
While it is reasonable to conclude that the SMO is winding down, other events make it more likely that Phase II will begin soon. Those events are the US$40B approved for Lend-Lease type military spending, the Sweden-UK talks re mutual defence, and Finland’s overtures for NATO membership.
If the US plans are consistent with past actions, we can not only expect additional provocations that will be existential threats to Russia but, on a deeper level, that the decision makers in the US will not peacefully accept a multi-polar world.
The US domestic issues (rampant crime, homelessness, polarization by race and income, mistrust of government and media, etc.) will not draw the decision makers away from their global plans as those domestic issues have been weapons of the decision makers in pursuit of their global objective.
The war has really just begun.
It takes two to wind down a war
Zero chance.
SMO will turn into a full war because NATO is escalating. This is no longer in Russia’s hands to stop war and it never was
Choice win, surrender. No other choice for Russia.
It has become abundantly clear to me that whatever is guiding this “war” is not a normal conflict at all. Be it the strategic decisions a0round it or the media circus that is being performed by politicians. And while I don’t know of course I wonder if Andrei is realizing the same. Let us hope and pray it will cease soon but my estimates point toward a prolonged kind of situation like with what we saw in the Donbass.
It’s definitely not “a normal war”. I’m 71 years old, but I don’t remember anything like that. Switzerland gave up it’s neutrality. That didn’t even happen during WWII.
Unless people come to their senses very soon, this could be the mother of all wars.
Very much what I have claimed a few times. This is theater, where they sacrifice the little man (just another step in depopulation). What you see is the AskeNazi Kasar mafia at work.

“The UN is an American garbage”
Communist Party leader gives interview to Workers’ Cause team in the Donbass
Rafael Dantas and Eduardo Vasco from Lugansk
The press team of the Workers’ Cause Party in Russia arrived today (12) in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) in the Donbass. We visited the headquarters of the Communist Party of the LPR, a two-story building that faces buildings and houses completely destroyed by the attacks of the Ukrainian army in 2014. The very headquarters of the party, which has at the entrance a huge bust of Lenin and another of Stalin , suffered attacks and still has numerous bullet holes in the walls
We were greeted by the general secretary of the party, Igor Gumenyuk, accompanied by two members of the Komsomol, the Communist Youth. The leader of the Communists of Lugansk explained to us that his party was founded even when the LPR had not been created and was an Oblast of Ukraine. However, with the 2014 coup, it supported the country’s independence. The party has no parliamentary representation in the LPR.
The CPLPR maintains a close relationship with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and also with its Donetsk peers. Together, they have played a prominent role in organizing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the population of Donbass, which is not done by any international organization. “The UN is American garbage,” says Gumenyuk
What is your party’s role in this war?

How do you use Yandex? There are dozens of Russian articles I would be most interested to read but cannot find the process or software to translate to English. I followed one procedure, but it did not work (just like Microsoft, totally useless).
One of the icons at top right should be “Translate this page”. I have it set up so that it automatically translates each page into English as it opens. There is even a nice pop-up that asks politely, “Translate images?” It amazingly translates most text in pictures to English.
This is the main site I start from every day: https://cont.ws/@voenkorr/2284339
As Saker said a few weeks ago and Scott Ritter in his last interview it’s clear any initial ideas Russia had of a small limited operation is dead.
The US is now giving around 40 billion in military aid nearly the same as Russian defense budget.
Even if they win the Donbas they’ll keep on coming like zombies but with F16s and artillery that can hit deep into Russia
In a few weeks the fighting may be even in Russia itself as events in Kharkov show
This is turning into something else entirely and it appears the Russian leadership hasn’t yet woken up to that yet
With Ukrainian logistics in shambles even 10 times 40 billion will make no appreciable difference.
In fact, Western aid to the Ukraine is more valuable to Russia, it provides a valuable propaganda tool for driving a wedge between Western citizens and their governments.
At least in the United States, I can personally attest that this is occurring.
Also the F16 is an excellent aircraft…. at least it was in 1985.
The F16 was the last real excellent bit of engineering in aircraft from the USA. Actually could get the job done for a lot longer than its designed lifespan. Still not in the B-52 category LOL but solid design.
Please give Rand Paul a call asking him to keep a hold on this money. He needs to hear from as many people as possible! 202 224-4343
Remember, a lot of the $40 billion will disappear into people’s personal bank accounts or find its way back to the MIC. It’s a loop-d-loop game.
that 40 billion is basically 33 billion for ukraine rest for bills included to get senators to support.
Apparently spent ( direct spending) nearly a Trillion dollars plus in Afghanistan. The Accountant general and pentagon couldnt account for what happened to nearly 630 billion of it. Some of it if i recall 26 million for village schools which actually cost lest than 0.5 million to build. 15 thousand dollars as salaries for truck drivers etc.
That 33billion will not even amount to 3 billion of random equipment and hare brained schemes.
How US works is simple eg. $3500 to move a computer, and a couple of boxes of books, flies and stationery and to reset the IP address of one person from one cubicle to another (apparently employees are not authorised to do it themselves due to liability/insurance issues!!)
So dont go by those numbers.
Anyone have a link to Scott Ritter’s latest? He doesn’t seem to post these to his TG channel.
The overwhelming bulk of that spending is to US defense contractor like the one I work for. Whatever is produced is years away from delivery and will likely never even get there – if that was the intent in the first place, which it isn’t.
Has the Russian drawback from Kharkov drawn the Ukrainians out into the open field?
Did really Russians had the idea that it would be a ‘small limited operation’? When they declared clearly that the objectives are, besides the liberation of Donbass and securing Crimea of (aka, remaking the ‘Novorussia’ of Catherine and Potemkin), ‘demilitarization’ and ‘denazification’ of Ukraine (in other words the termination of ‘Ukraine’ as a pseudo-sovereign nation)?
Do Russians do anything without planning carefully all the moves? Bismarck said that Russians don’t do anything without a plan, even going to the toilet? Can one say that Russian intelligence (the most effective in the world) didn’t know what they were up against?
‘Russia is a colossus with clay feet’ was the self-deception of the West. That’s what Napoleon believed (and the Poles and the Swedes before him), that Germans believed in WW1, that Hitler believed. Be sure that Russians planned it for the last eight years (at least). They struck at the moment of their choice. The hallucination that a minor setback (if it really was that) at Kharkov can override and revert the self-inflicted blows to the Western economy that this ‘small limited operation’ brought about is just that, a hallucination.
Agreed. A few weeks into this SMO, we were told that Russia was running out of weapons and ammo, and had gone running to China begging for help.
With the USers so obviously interested in Ukraine in 2014, Russia could expect them to jump in. And Europe is easy enough to whip into idiocy. Remember the Skripal/Novichok fantasy in the UK?
Hi, can anyone kind enough to translate or at least explain what this guy is talking about. Specifically in 0:40-0:52, he mentions Isa and Imam Mahdi. Very intriguing why those two names comes out in military briefing.
https://t.me/intelslava/28122
This is going to be a log fight. I hope Russia will win in the end.
But, today there are reports that Russian-led forces attempted to establish at least three pontoon crossings near Bilohorivka and that this operation failed with many casualties on the Russian side.
So, I think it is wrong to say that the Ukrainian army is lost and incompetent as Andrei Martyanov always says. They are fighting very brave and they are motivated. This enemy must be respected.
Just as there is plenty of video evidence of the gradual destruction of the Ukrainian army, you must have links to a plethora of video evidence of this amazing Ukrainian victory. They would certainly shout about this from the rooftops…
…if it actually happened.
“There are reports.” That’s pretty weak sauce right there.
As to the photos that allege to show these losses:
(To mod, I posted this elsewhere too, but the same stories about these so called Russian losses keep popping up and the same arguments against them still apply).
Southfront has detailed pictures of these so called Russian losses on their site, (you’ll have to got here to yourself, links not allowed to them). These show these alleged 73 pieces of lost equipment. They too claim these to be Russian.
One thing appears obvious immediately. Contrary to their claims, most of these vehicles are not destroyed at all. In fact, the majority show little or no signs of damage. They appear to have been simply abandoned. Or maybe not even abandoned?
Secondly, not one of those 73 vehicles shows any sign of the tactical markings we always see on Russian and DPR/LPR vehicles (like the Z or V), even thought the pictures are clear and detailed enough to show them, if they were there in the first place. There are also some clear side views of (undamaged?) vehicles which again, lack all tactical signs.
Also, all of the equipment in evidence is of types that are also used by the Ukrainians. There are no vehicles I’ve been able to spot which are unique to the Russians. But, quite a few of the BMP’s in the photos appear to be BMP-1’s (most even). That makes it considerably less likely to be Russian vehicles.
Finally, look at what is absent. There isn’t a single air defense vehicle is sight (note, these are also useful in intercepting many types of incoming artillery/rockets/missiles). Russian battalions have a lot of those. So, I’m to believe that the Russians somehow failed to deployed these along with the rest of those vehicles? At a river crossing site of all places? Which, according to the narrative, had been hit by artillery and rockets before? Seriously? Or am I to believe that all of those air defense vehicles somehow escaped destruction? Either is possible, in theory, but not very believable.
If i were to see these photos without any commentary about what I was supposed to be seeing, then I would have to conclude that based on what the photos themselves show, these are Ukrainian losses, not Russian.
There is additional, although circumstantial, evidence that these are not Russian.
First, all photos are zoomed in, making it almost impossible to pinpoint the location (based on the course of the river and other terrain features). The exact location would go a long way to prove whose vehicles these are. It would make sense for the Ukrainians to show zoomed out photos to prove their allegations, and through their US friends, they would have no trouble getting those pictures. And yet, they seem to be deliberately making it hard to pinpoint the exact location of these losses. That doesn’t add up.
What makes even less sense, is that we are only hearing about this now, well after it has happened, as the photos appear to be made days after these losses are incurred. You can tell because there is no fire in evidence. There’s smoke in only one location in one photo, and it’s not coming from a vehicle wreck, but appears to come from a smoke generator. Some vehicles have clearly burned out, which takes time. There doesn’t seem to be anyone around either, so all rescue and recovery operations seem to have been concluded. So some time has passed between the strikes and when these pictures were taken, likely at least one day.
The lack of recovery operations is odd too. If these are Russian losses, inflicted by Ukrainian artillery, and most vehicles appear to be intact, why are they not being recovered? You would expect to see at least some activity of that kind.
But the big one is this, if the Russians had indeed lost over a battalion worth of armored vehicles, it would be the single greatest battle victory for the Ukrainians of the entire war. So why are we only hearing about it days later, when these photos suddenly pop up? Why didn’t we hear about it when it actually happened? Why would the Ukrainians have kept quiet about it? If they were hitting the Russians like this, they must have known what they were doing. They’re in desperate need of victories (just look at their efforts at Snake Island), so why didn’t they announce this one?
Especially considering the timing! If true, this has to have happened around the 9th of may. Just consider the impact of such a Russian defeat around that date. Why didn’t the Ukrainians, or the Americans, show the world then, with clear proof, of what had happened, just after it had? That would have been a massive propaganda victory. Yet neither of them did. Which is also a kind of proof.
Instead, all we have are some weak Ukrainian claims, well after the fact, combined with photos of dubious provenance, which don’t appear to show what it is claimed they show (Russian losses). It all reeks of improvisation.
All in all, I find it extremely unlikely that these are Russian losses, and highly likely to be Ukrainian ones.
Wow, Harry, I appreciate your investigations on this report. Good detective work. I find yr comments reassuring.
When I looked at the pictures this morning from Southfront I had an accute case of Congnitieve dissonance.
I could not believe that the Russians would try to cross several times over an area that was covered by artillery.
I also found strange that on one side across the river there were so many “destroyed”vehicles. They could have moved forward. Like they were waiting unless it was one hell of a barrage.
I agree with yr conclusions.
Regards…
Thanks, but i have to make clear, I don’t know for a fact what these photos show.
There also appears to be a video of this location which tells a different story. For one, as I already observed, most vehicles appear to be intact. The video corroborates it. Some of them are moving, others have people freely walking around unbothered. The camouflaged uniforms makes them very hard to see on the photos, but in the video you can see them moving about.
There’s also construction going on, one of the alleged ‘destroyed’ bridges, looks like it is still being assembled, so not destroyed at all. Two alleged ‘destroyed’ vehicles (BMK’s in the photos) appear to be using their amphibious capability to wade across.
I’ve looked closer at the photos to count the number of vehicles which appear to be clearly destroyed (burnt out, blown of turrets, that sort of thing). As far as I can tell, there are only twelve. One more (a BMP) looks like it has the deck plate covering the engine compartment partly removed. It’s next to several wrecked T72’s, which suggests it has suffered serious engine trouble.
At least half of the others don’t look damaged at all, and for the rest, you simply can’t tell for sure either way.
Another question is whether all of the vehicles you see belong to the same side. The reports suggest that the Ukrainians may also have used ground forces to try and contest the crossing, not just artillery. That may explain the presence of the BMP-1’s (several of which are clearly destroyed). Given the supposed location, some of the troops may be from the LPR. They use quite a bit of older equipment too. Including BMP-1’s (just to further obfuscate the picture!)
I’ve been peering more closely at these pictures, and one vehicle does appear to have a round O painted on its side (which is used by some of the newer arrivals on the front line), while a couple of others may have some kind of tactical sign painted on them too. It hard to tell from the angle what it is. To be honest, given that these are mostly overhead shots, for most vehicles it impossible to tell if they have a tactical sign or not painted on (it’s usually painted a the sides, front and/or back, not on top). That they are parked under trees and the bright contrast don’t help either.
One explanation I’ve read is that this shows a combination of losses (from both sides?) of the first crossings and subsequent combat (the twelve clear wrecks and maybe a handful more), combined with the operational (Russian/LPR) vehicles that made it across subsequently and are either moving about (which you can’t tell on the photos) or which have been parked under the trees for cover (which is the majority of vehicles).
That explanation seems plausible and in line with what we’re seeing. The RF took some losses (the blown up T72’s next to the crossing in particular) which the Ukrainians are now trying to amplify into massive losses through deceptive selection and interpretation of photos of the scene.
could be a repair depot in the process of being constructed near a front line, too.
Those have a mix of partially destroyed, working, and fully destroyed but useful for parts.
Would also have a mix of Russian and Ukrainian vehicles as both can be repaired and put into use
I hadn’t thought of that; a collection point of damaged and destroyed equipment from the wider area, and from both sides, would explain a lot of what we are seeing too.
One of the vehicles has been identified as a MT-LB based ambulance (soviet-era), which is said to be used by Ukraine, and not by Russia. It seems a bit out of place here.
I don’t know if we are looking at the same video, but go through it a few times. Look at the details: the direction of the tank guns, along the ridge, the pontoon bridging material is on the wrong side of the river (lets bring the extra pontoons across to the other side, and stash them there, well, because we can, and if the bridge gets damaged we can swim over to retrieve them), the egress of the bridge is straight up an incline at a ridiculously bad angle for an attacker. etc…
To me it looks like a substantial amount of Uke armor got cut off on the wrong side of a river and they tried to extract it, under very difficult and dubious conditions. Everything you see in the video makes sense with that interpretation. The way the Western media portrays it, implies the Russians would have had to attended the Gomer Pyle school of combat engineering to manage such a debacle. (lol)
Good job, Harry. Yes, I noticed right away that none of the supposedly “Russian” vehicles in the Southfront photos were destroyed. I am surprised Southfront even published them.
As for the $40 billion in U.S. arms, it is being held in Congress and may not even leave American shores until the end of the month. Will the weapons be used or even work properly? Highly doubtful. Will what’s left of Ukraine after the war end up paying for the equipment if it is destroyed? Highly unlikely.
The interesting thing about all the Western weapons is that, if they are performing as poorly as some accounts indicate, this could be disastrous for western defense contractors trying to peddle their wares across the world.
The $40 billion is not for weapons. It is to reimburse family members of American politicans who invested their money in Ukrainian ventures over the past two decades. Biolabs, military facilities, agricultural projects, etc. The Ukraine was a “forward base” to “open up” the Russian market; that it, to reduce Russia to a client state per the 1990s. That Europeans invested considerably more in this project and are NOT being reimbursed.
I agree. Ukies would have gone to town on this PR windfall. And splashed all over front page, primietime coverage for days on end. The fact that they didn’t is proof beyond doubt that this fictitious victory never happened.
Time for some clarification.
As I posted in my initial comment, there are ample considerations why what the pictures are showing are not 73 wrecked Russian combat vehicles. As a result, my first reaction was to go the other way, and think that these are Ukrainian losses.
However, 73 Ukrainian armored vehicle losses doesn’t make a whole lot of sense either, does it? Where and when would they have assembled such a force for a river crossing? If that many of their vehicles had been taken out in short order, we would have heard about it too. It would have been too big a victory to ignore for the Russian side too.
So now, I believe that what we are seeing are mostly intact (Russian) vehicles, or vehicles with only fairly light damage. The losses that are in evidence, may well be from both sides, including some abandoned Ukrainian ones. The BMP-1’s that are destroyed, I suspect were part of their counter-attack force, while the wrecked T72’s near the river are most likely Russian ones. (Most of the destroyed BMP-1’s and T72’s seem to be facing in opposite directions).
The initial Ukrainian counter attack by ground forces seems to have failed, after which they resorted to ‘pinpoint’ artillery (and drone?) attacks aimed at the bridge itself. It looks like they succeeded twice in taking out a bridge, only for the Russians to build a new one. Some of the Russian losses may be collateral damage from strikes at the bridges themselves.
Despite this, the Russians continued to bring troops across which, in the pictures, are parked under cover across the river.
Conclusion; I don’t think there are more than twenty knocked out vehicles in the photos, and it may well be less than that. I also also suspect we’re seeing losses from both sides here.
Woke math Harry; 7+3=73……does sound like both sides lost their share of equipment and personnel in the same area, so likely a bit of both as you surmise.
Cheers M
Thx Harry,
There is also pontoon destruction video posted by RUS MOD on May 8th that was overshadowed by snake island
https://t.me/mod_russia_en/1429
And as many have said, even if total UKR truth on this one – it’s one day/battle.
EVERY DAY UKR losses are equal or greater than the super hyped pontoon event(s)
For instance on same day –
✈️💥Operational-tactical and army aviation have hit 130 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
▫️Among them: 3 command posts, 123 areas of manpower and military equipment concentration, 2 artillery batteries at firing positions and 2 depots of missile and artillery weapons and ammunition near Bakhmut and Krasnopolie.
▫️The attacks have resulted in the elimination of more than 420 nationalists and up to 55 armoured and motor vehicles
video from 1 jet on 1 sortie on 1 day
https://t.me/milinfolive/82958
Do you think brOSINT will slow the video down and count vehicles visible in the lower panel when the missiles are fired? :)
Ever seen any maxar satellite images after ANY of the nightly artillery strikes sent west from Kherson?
Curious,eh?
@mario2 You are trying to put words into Martyanov’s mouth. In fact, he has said many times that the Ukies are fighting like they are motivated, and some of them are foolishly brave. That motivation comes as a rude shock, and we don’t know that motivation comes from the Nazi “corset” or NATO instructors. But either way, we think most of the Ukie corps fighting east of the Dneiper River, have about 10% commisars, ready to shoot anyone who wants to quit. The Ukie military must be respected,, and I’m sure they are, as a dangerous fighting force. But the sort of Nazi nationalism and as proxies for a foreign empire that they are fighting for, only an idiot could respect. They are on a fool’s errand that only benefits people outside Ukraine.
A significant contributor to the motivation of Ukrainian troops is pharmacological.
This story could be total BS
Not confirmed anywhere credible
“A Jewish Ukrainian soldier in the besieged Azovstal plant in Mariupol called on Israel on Wednesday night to intervene to save the garrison.
In a Facebook video posted by Jewish Kyiv-based entrepreneur and activist Ilgam Gasanov, Vitaliy Barabash said in Ukrainian, “It’s hard for me to speak, so my speech for me will be said by my brother, on behalf of all Ukrainian Jews who are together with me here.”
Barabash, also known as Benya, held a Ukrainian flag up to the camera as his friend read his statement, a Star of David tattoo clearly visible on Barabash’s hand.
Addressing “Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, the Knesset, the public of Israel,” and prominent Ukrainian Jews, Barabash’s statement announced that “in the rubble left from Azovstalí, there are Jews like me, like you.”
Sources close to the Ukrainian government told The Times of Israel that there are over 20 Jewish soldiers among the Ukrainian forces in Mariupol.”

I was wondering what the holdup was for that steel plant…
What’s left of that steel plant is not worth the life of a single Russian Private. Let the Nazis starve in their bunker.
Can’t speak? Maybe because he is Israeli and not Russian or Ukro Jewish? Twenty Jewish soldiers? With Azov?
Only if Israeli mercenaries or advisers.
Let them all burn in a hail of fire and lead.Let all Nato advisers there burn and I say that whilst I am from a Nato country. These people do not represent me but only the rotten flawed Establishment .
Interesting that Jewish soldiers are mixed in with the Azovs. But then again, 150,000 Jews supposedly served in the Wehrmacht during WWII.
Zionism is simply National Socialism for Jews. Another of their “For me but not for thee” attitude. “Nazis bad… for you.” That’s why Israel is an ethnostate with secure borders (or at least tries to have…), plenty of guns, “socialized” medicine, etc., while Jewish politicians demand the opposite in the USA.
More data for Russia to apply to its decision to run Israel out of Syria (incl Golan Heights). The tables are turning, Russia is on a huge mission of which it will not falter.
There was also the Native Guard (free Black men in New Orleans) which formed and arguably supported some Confederate goals in the Civil War. They were mostly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Reality does not conform to ideology.
Russia is getting attacked from the outside and inside by jews but at the same time fights to “denazify” the world. Oh the irony. Destined to fail.
Could be just a trick, given the ugly publicity surrounding Azov nazis. Next, their handlers will begin claiming it’s just innocent monks, fasting and praying, down there.
I guess living in that steel plant for the rest of your live is worse punishment than being in Russian captivity.

Please put a comment not just links. Scott Ritter’s Ukraine/Finland/nato show. Mod.
https://rumble.com/v144y0r-scott-ritter-ukraine-finland-and-nato-a-warning-to-the-people-of-finland.html
Rumble video link does not work for me. I’ve never been on Rumble before. Do I need to set up an account or something ? Scott Ritter has been doing a lot of videos in recent weeks, and the relevancy varies a great deal.
How Russia will deal with Finland’s abrogation of the neutrality treaty is a serious question.
The Mod is right. Every link should have a brief description of what’s in the link, and maybe a brief statement about why the content matters. For example, the Mod’s FIFY Scott Ritter’s Ukraine/Finland/nato show.
It’s already on Youtube, with subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgf2prUaKR4
In May, 1934, Poland signed a Non-Aggression Treaty with the USSR.
March 1939, England signs a treaty with Poland, guaranteeing the UK will
defend Poland against attack.
England states a strong Poland is essential for the security of Europe.
May 1939, Poland withdraws unilaterally from the 1934 Treaty, upon the 5yr renewal date.
September 1, 1939, Germany invades Poland, and WW2 begins.
In April, 1948, Finland signs a Peace Treaty with the USSR, both parties agreeing to non-aggression, including no alliances with other countries.
The Treaty stands for 74 years, with no violations. Neither party placed troops on its border.
In April, 2022, Finland withdraws unilaterally from the 1948 Treaty.
In May 2022, Finland applies to NATO for membership. Finland places troops on its border.
May 11, 2002, Johnson, PM of UK, signs a Declaration to defend Finland in the event of attack.
Johnson declares a strong Finland is essential for the security of Europe.
You have been warned.
Thanks for the historical timeline.
Russia would be justified in preemptive war on Finland. Perhaps another “special military operation”, designed to change out Finland’s political class, not to wipe out all of Finland. The SMO option may be the least costly in the long run. I’m glad I’m not making that decision. But if Russia fights Finland, it can be less careful about the lives of Finland’s soldiers than it is now being with the Ukie soldiers. Finland is a democracy, and even in a democracy with a lying news media, the citizens are free and responsible.
@grune:
“September 1, 1939, Germany invades Poland, and WW2 begins”.
Incorrect. WW2 began when UK declared war on Germany, soon followed by France’s declaration of war against Germany.
@cosimo:
“Even in a democracy with a lying news media, the citizens are free and responsible”.
No, they’re not. In fact, democracy is an imposture and a farce.
Freedom only exists in Lalaland.
I am very pessimistic. Russia seems to have real difficulties to break the ukrainian army’s backbone and even if they succed to break it within six months, it will have just prove how Russia is limited in its ability to fight a major war. If NATO enters the war, Russia will have to use nuclear weapons to compensate for its weakness and this exposure is increasing every day if you listen to US and Europe media.
Jean de peyrelongue: If Russian bear decides to fight there will be no need for Nukes. She will simply just turn off gas and oil and uranium tap to unfriendly countries, those who live in glass houses and just threw stones because they think they still can do so..
They are breaking it’s backbone.
It took the allies two and a half months of fighting in Normandy in 1944, gaining ground only very slowly, to break the German army facing them. Then, when they did break them, they broke out and in two and a half weeks, they liberated nearly all of France, Belgium and the southern parts of the Netherlands.
Contrary to events in Normandy in 1944, losses are now far more one sided. But it still takes time to grind down an opposing force to breaking point. And it’s a very uneven process. For quite a while it will appear to go frustratingly slowly, which will create the illusion that this is the pace at which it will continue to evolve. It won’t. There will be a breaking point, and then things will go very fast for a while.
Whether the Ukrainians will completely break and lose the war altogether, or if, like the Germans in 1944, they can manage recover to some degree further west and put up significant resistance again, remains to be seen. Even of they manage to do so, they will still lose a lot of ground first.
@Harry
Thank you for your excelent explanation. You saved me from repeating same things over and over again to MSM educated folks.
One more time: Russians are not slow, it is Western narative they could seize Kiev in 72 hours. There are losses on Russian side, so what? This is WAR, not video game.
NATO proxy army is destroyed as we speaking. When it collapses there will not be another proxy army willing to take its place.
Period.
Will NATO mobilise westerners to fight Russia? Well, they tried in 1999. to assemble ground forces in EU for attack on Serbia, as US was willing to provide air support only. No-one came. What are the chances they will gather enough volunteers against Russia?
Can you imagine PR disaster when POWs and limbless wounded Ukraine soldiers finnaly come home in western Ukraine? Good luck with mobilisation for counteroffensive then.
Have you read the reports coming out of the EU and European countries about their state of military readiness? Apparently France only has a week or two’s worth of ammunition at the rate its being used in Ukraine. Britain has too few front line troops to make a difference. The US is far away and its military not designed to fight this sort of war (not to mention an aircraft carrier sitting in the Mediterranean that would likely become an artificial reef). Half of Germany’s equipment isn’t combat ready. Granted, this may be some degree of disinformation but especially on the European side, defense spending has been very low for a long time and these militaries have been structured for a very different type of war. Not only that, but unless Russia invades other European nations (highly unlikely), they will have to mount an offensive against Russia. They may be able to defend Germany or France, but can they invade Russia?
I’m not saying that Russia will break the Ukrainian army or when, but given the contours of the conflict, we can expect that it will be like Hemingway’s description of bankruptcy, gradually and then all at once.
The US/NATO doesn’t really understand the Russian way of fighting, or waging war. This being a SMO, its done even differently. The “West” more likely learns from Hollywood. :)
Bankrupcy and war of attrition timelines are strikingly similar.
Every newscast here in the UK shows another tranche of refugees arriving into the country from Ukraine via Poland, mainly women and children with a few more elderly. We have a proud tradition of welcoming such people into our country, long may that continue. But how can we look these distraught strangers in the eye as we welcome them knowing that it is US State Dept policy aided and abetted by Downing Street and the EU which is sending their menfolk needlessly to slaughter?
The opportunity for negotiated peace is now gone, another $40b will soon line the pockets of our ruling elites and fifty thousand more young men face death, injury or (hopefully) capture in this attempt to maintain US hegemony. How sad our world has become.
You seem to be a nice person and bravo for that , but welcoming intolerant, uncaring and mercenary “refugees” ,especially Ukro supremacists into the UK will be your country’s downfall. You do remember God forced a whole generation of Hebrews to die off before they even came close to the Promised Land? Same with these rabid Ukros. There will not be peace unless this whole present generation is quarantined off from all of the rest of us .
@PeterB: “fifty thousand more young men face death, injury or (hopefully) capture”
(Even more hopefully) even more thousands of Ukronazi fighters look forward to being welcomed as “refugees” in the EU$A; judging from what happened after the defeat of NATZO’s ISIS proxies in Syria.
Anyone know the Finnish street?
Support for NATO was reported to be 40%, then 50 and now its up to 76%.
What gives?
The Finnish are worried about being invaded by Russia because Ukraine was and Finland has been in the past. It is not rocket science.
If the Finnish street is soooo pro joining NATO, then why don’t they hold a referendum ? (LOL)
The fact that the Finnish government is not holding a referendum, indicates that it is not confident that it would win it. The Finns are being betrayed by their Prime Minister who is an alumni of the WEF’s Young Leader of Tomorrow programme as is Boris Johnson.
The Finns have been convinced that they beat the Russians in the 1939 and ‘continuation war’. I have a hunch (I might be wrong) that “Viking Metal Bands” with their fake ‘Norse’ heroics (Azov style!) twisted their minds.
Anyone wondering why I keep harping on RT being a horrible representative of Russia. And just another 5th column outfit. Here is the caliber of comment RT lets infest their site:
“Most of you posting pro Russian / anti west comments are either paid bots or you come from a failed state. You really think that cutting Russian Gas will cause an inflation? Get a primary school education then post your brain damaged comments 😂. This website owned by this Armenian paid whore Simonyan is a cesspool, I recommend BBC news for some real info”.
Russia may believe that they get kudos from Westerners for “free speech” in allowing comments like that, but they are wrong. Westerners only think they are stupid for it. If we wanted to see anti-Russian crap like that we’d read the NATO press. We turn to RT to see “Russia’s viewpoint”,the same reason we come to this blog. Constructive criticism or a different outlook on an issue is one thing, and shouldn’t be an issue. But anti-Russian vile crap like that is totally unacceptable and those at RT permitting it should be purged from RT right now. They do too much damage to Russia’s reputation to be allowed to work at RT.
BBC and the ilks of US MNM have been cesspool for quite some time. Do you know there is a TNI (Trusted News Initiative) going on by BBC/WashingtonPost/etc. etc. Go ask Africans and Central Asians about western MNM, they will tell you their experience. Forget about PEW surveys, it is doctored garbage.
The comment section on RT is junk. I don’t even bother looking. A bit better on Telegram, but not much. Doesn’t even look like they try to filter out any junk.
No clean shirts in the hamper anymore.
It is much more productive to read RUS MFA or MOD or Ambassadors or UN reps.
Even reading or watching China MFA Q&A is more productive.
Did you see where Lavrov met with HAMAS in exile leadership IN Russia?
The level of diplomacy is stunning.

On 20 September 2016 Russian state media reported that Russian warships in the Mediterranean fired three Kalibr-NK missiles at western Aleppo, near Mount Simeon. The Russians claimed that the missile strike killed “30 Israeli and Western officers directing the terrorists’ attacks in Aleppo and Idlib”.[20]
RT in German and Spanish was markedly better than in English (my empression from before the censor axe fell).
The comments in the German section were stopped as they admitted being unable to fight the vulgarity flood
I also remember being struck that right after the start of the SMO no Opinion articles appeared in Russian RT. As if no one dared to stand for their own country in public.

What the US was using its bio-weapons labs in Ukraine for:
.
Infected money and experiments on mental patients: crimes of the West in Ukraine revealed
.
Igor Kirillov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the RF Armed Forces, made statements about the uncovered criminal activities of the West in Ukraine, which were stopped thanks to a special operation in Ukraine.
Briefly about the main thing:
– A special military operation of the RF Armed Forces made it possible to stop criminal experiments on civilians of Ukraine;
– Ukraine is a training ground for the West for the development of biological weapons components and testing of new samples of pharmaceuticals;
– The Russian Defense Ministry has information about the Pentagon’s experiments on Ukrainian citizens in a psychiatric hospital near Kharkov;
– The United States tried to hide its participation in biological experiments on patients in a mental hospital in Ukraine;
– Counterfeit money distributed in 2020 in the LPR was infected with a strain of tuberculosis resistant to anti-tuberculosis drugs;
– The collection of biomaterials from Ukrainians by epidemiologists of the Bundeswehr Institute confirms the military focus of research in Ukraine;
– The information available to the Russian Defense Ministry confirms the implementation of the US offensive military biological program in Ukraine;
– The leaders of the Democratic Party are the ideologists of the military-biological activities of the United States in Ukraine;
– Pfizer, Moderna, Merck and other pharmaceutical companies are involved in US military biological activities in Ukraine;
– Military biological projects on the territory of Ukraine, in addition to the United States, are being implemented by Germany and Poland;
– US specialists are testing new drugs bypassing international safety standards, reducing the cost of research;
– Ukrainian government agencies are involved in military biological activities in the country along with Pentagon contractors;
– At the end of April, ten more UAVs were found in the Kakhovka region, equipped with containers and equipment for spraying biorecipes.

5/11/22 US bio-weapons analysis-a must read
“Thus, the information obtained confirms that the United States is implementing an offensive military-biological programme in Ukraine to study the possibility of forming controlled epidemics in specific territories.
The special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces has crossed the US military-biological expansion in Ukraine and stopped criminal experiments on civilians.”
/briefing-analysis-of-documents-related-to-the-military-biological-activities-of-the-united-states-on-the-territory-of-ukraine-may-11-2022/
“implementing” (read: “not implemented”) and “study” (as in look/watch – not “act”) aren’t exactly words for criminal prosecution. Not trying to spoil the party but there is ample wiggle room for the US to deny (of course it would deny the obvious, but this is far short of actual actions, which would be the “obvious”).
Though it’s a very good bet to suspect the worst (as this fits the US’s behavior and history) without being able to demonstrate that there’s ACTS involved then it is little more than a “thought crime.” Don’t get me wrong, I DO wish there were a smoking gun; I just don’t believe that one has been found. This is little more than Russian efforts to build up a rap sheet, not too unlike propaganda in the US/West that tries to piece in all sorts of silly crap (not that this is silly) to create their mountain of “evidence.”
The ONLY “solution” is for the Russians to finalize their operation, successfully. The US/West will NEVER be prosecuted, no matter how much we would want that.
@Seer Your point is taken.
But for me these US bio-weapon laboratories funded by Pentagon and Democrats is just a brick in the puzzle:
You have NATO military advisors and trainers feeding Ukraine with Nazi ideology infiltrated in the Ukrainian military and public instituions.
You have NATO instigating racial discrimination of Russian language, investments and minority groups.
You have NATO instigated murders and killing of Russian speaking minority groups.
You have NATO instigated Ukrainian Army provoking a war against the Russian nation.
On top you have 30 bio-weapon laboratories in Ukraine managed by Pentagon making dangerous experiments.
So again, we (Russia) must look at the bigger picture rather than focusing on the isolated brick/fragment.
Using mental patients as guinea pigs for military research is an American specialty. Commonly, they do this in some compliant, “allied” country. In the 1950s, it was Canada.
https://www.mcgilltribune.com/mind-control-mcgill-mk-ultra/
Similar experiments seem to have been carried out in the US – again, on mental patients.

I’m sorry about the formatting in the above article–I don’t know what is going on with it.
“…definite trend on accelerating demoralization of VSU and the pronounced trend on the collapse of the VSU defenses”
A Ukrainian soldier told The New York Times two or three days ago about how it is to face heavy artillery fire. He said the Russians knew “exactly” where they were and had them like “in the palm of their hand.” They always have a lookout on guard and once he knows a projectile is coming at them, they have no more than three seconds to jump into their trench. Two or three weeks ago another soldier was also describing a similar situation, saying they were facing total destruction unless they also received longer range artillery to use.
It does not look like Putin reacted well at all to Finland’s bid to join NATO. He ‘apparently’ makes decisions all alone. He apparently does not think there is anyone around him whose judgment is remotely as good as his. It’s not that he is conceited. He just might be right. Patrushev? No, please. Glazyev? Come on. Peskov? Like a nice sounding board for him. Shoigu? No. Lavrov? Probably the one with the biggest influence, yet without being really influential at the judgment level. It’s all Putin. (It’s just what it looks like.)
2) Quite long ago, Finland told Putin that it was thinking about joining NATO. Quite long ago, it was known that Russia would place hypersonic and nuclear weapons close to Finland if it did that. Quite long ago. it was known – I knew – that this did not and would not deter Finland.
3) It’s quite clear that Russia itself will not really rely on this measure of moving those weapons close to Finland. It doesn’t solve the “threat” and leaves it dependent on what Finland might do in the future. So, this is not really the last countermeasure. He said that Russia couldn’t allow hypersonic weapons to ever be placed in Ukraine because they could reach Moscow in five minutes. Finland looks closer on the map to many areas of Russia as the neighbor it is. Why wouldn’t a similar logic be eventually applied to them?
We knew before like we know now that Putin doesn’t tell you he is going to punch you (he said you hit first if you know you are going to get hit). He may give you some indirect warnings and then “wham!” I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t absorb all of Ukraine, like he hinted might happen. Not to say or imply that he should have made clear to Finland what was made clear to the world regarding Ukraine, but, in view of the fact that it was known that Finland was not impressed by Russia’s warnings about new missiles close to Finland, I think he should have done something more or something else…What he is doing now does not work, unsurprisingly. He could have made the truth clearer, which is clear regarding Ukraine now, namely that whether joining NATO or not makes Finland safer is up to Russia in the end. So, without speaking of war, I think he still could have been more forceful, and he like needed to be since the present course obviously does not deter or change Finland’s (military) plans. And the survival of the human race may be at stake.
I just read that Turkey does not see anything positive in getting Sweden and Finland to join the NATO. Al Nato members must agree if the party to join is ready and can act positively to the strenght of the organisation.
Putin just had a telephone converstion with the Chancelor of Germany. Maybe thats the way to get the sting out of the situation. Brussels has actually nothing to say here although they make it sound that way.
Shoigu spoke with USA..advice..negotiation……information…confirmation of Russia situation….stop supporting might be next more directly in Ukrain…..stop your dangerous hysteria self deceptions and propaganda lies.confess? Admit ?…..or else???F.O.? Last chance or we disconnect lines chuck all americans out close embassies.????
“Maybe thats the way to get the sting out of the situation.”
I agree that might happen.
I wonder whether Russians have thought about the prospects of flushing the Nazis out of Ukraine into surrounding countries who will [at some point in time] have hypersonics aimed at Russia? I further wonder whether this isn’t the plan by the US/UK.
@tranquilocomp ‘apparently’ makes decisions all alone. He apparently does not think there is anyone around him whose judgment is remotely as good as his. It’s not that he is conceited. He just might be right.
That’s nonsense. You have zero reason for believing that, and you are wasting fresh air to say it. Let’s start with Sergei Shoigu (Сергей Шойгу) being best friends with VVP, spending long vacations together. Major people like Siluanov work in the background and they are not glory-seekers – unlike the West’s clown leaders whose job is to stay in the spotlight, not to make policy.
Take a step back and consider how flawless Russia’s actions have proven to be in hindsight. Yes, Putin is the greatest Russian leader in centuries, maybe in all its history, but one man can not do all the analyses and planning. Obviously the Kremlin has an abundance of bright honest people for that work, so it’s “the Kremlin”, not “Putin”. Always remember that the Lügenpresse’s second-biggest trick (with Total black-out = never happened! being the #1 trick): The MSM tries to collapse all analyses and to focus all the stray latent hatred onto one person. Khadaffi, Assad, Castro (!), VVP, always the same trick. But because it’s always the same trick, it’s also the same procedure for anyone to remove the blindfold.
We agree about him having collaborators and a buddy too.
“so it’s ‘the Kremlin’, not ‘Putin.'”
That’s where we disagree. We don’t know what would be of the Kremlin without Putin.
“Putin is the greatest Russian leader in centuries, maybe in all its history,”
He is experienced and good, but what makes him far better than other presidents today is that he is a better man, a more decent man, that is! That’s right. He has improved as is normal. If you watch videos of him from 2002, 2005, 2008, you see that he was nowhere near as ready as he is today. That’s why two-term limits are an awful idea. In year number 8 or 10, the president may be reaching his prime and he is taken out willy-nilly so that someone else can start from zero – and that’s “democracy”? That’s as if good presidents appeared periodically like flowers or oranges. It’s significant that Putin put in a two-term limit. It’s kind of sad but it reinforces the point I made: Putin is not confident that there will be a leader like him or better than him in the future. Rather, he fears the worst so he supported a two-term limit. He erred anyway in that, right? The two guys who have 8 or 12 years back to back could be the tyrants! By then, the rest could be no better too. Let me digress a little: When you find someone worthy of the position, and he has now gained all the experience, you want to keep him, right? I think he’ll pick his own successor – that’s the safest way. I mean, it will better than the mailman and others like the mailman picking the successor, or a group of lesser politicians picking him. What puts Biden one step from the presidency through one decision (Obama’s decision)? What puts Harris just one step away from such a position (Biden’s decision)? Better for a popular and proven leader to pick his own successor.
There is nothing Putin or Russia can do to deter Finland installing Nato infrastructure, because Finnish no longer get to decide anything related to this. Those who do are bribed anyway.
Since it’s a crazy idea to begin with, maybe you’re right that they would persist regardless of what their president is told (strongest chance too).
Something is clear now is that Russia doesn’t do threats.
Russia states it’s position, what is acceptable or inacceptable to her
Then it is up to the other party to act according to that data.
And then, Russia will analyze the other part actions and react as needed. That may include, depending on the other side moves, technico-militar moves
That has already been said when NATO rejected the Russian proposal (the “not an ultimatum” one).
There is no need to said it again, if some western country has reading problems it is up to that country to improve its regime abilities. It will s not up to Russia to act as an adviser for western politicians. Russia already spoke (trough Lavrov), now Russia will act in ord t to protect it’s safety, security, and best interests.
The president of Finland stated two reasons that made him decide Finland should join NATO: 1) Russia said no neighbor like Finland can join NATO, 2) The invasion of Ukraine.
We know how he thinks then. Number one cannot serve as a sufficient cause unless there is a personal dislike for Russia. For the answer could simply be that there was no such intention before and not any now (maybe say Russia imagines things or add some other criticism). Number two happened because Ukraine would not renounce joining NATO and because Ukraine would not keep the Minsk agreements. It is alleged that it planned to invade the Donbass, but this would not count if the Minsk agreements had been fulfilled.
So, if the joining of NATO caused a war for Ukraine, why does Finland want to join NATO? Again, we go back to number one – a strong dislike for Russia, perhaps even an inferiority complex (big country-small country, great nation-common nation, great weapons-no great weapons, etc.). I think this can be assuaged with the right tough talk (“…from neutral to enemy”), as it should be. Other members may understand as well. Biden is welcoming Sweden and Finland, and anyone who can join, apparently self-convinced of the NATO “free membership” (Gym type) principle. He needs to awaken to the question of national security interests of just the United States, and think whether his country should fight for Finland if Russia attacks it, especially because he must be relieved that it doesn’t have to fight for Ukraine and since he says WWIII must be avoided. Nobody can be ‘autistic’ here.
As we see, there is a lot of irrationality and the best way to deal with that is always straightforwardly (not too diplomatically); if you know them and how to speak to them – all the better.
Yes, I think the Finnish and Swedish rumblings are more about virtue signalng and posturing than a real threat. It is highly unlikely NATO will accept them.–only one objection is needed. In any case, Putin and Russia don’t care about all this nonsense–they’re very existence is threatened by Ukraine–“We have nowhere else to retreat”–and they won’t stop until the job is finished … period.
Good example of what Putin could have said to Finland’s president (I don’t think he did, he may be too diplomatic): “Russia’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyanskiy, said that if Sweden and Finland join the bloc, it would turn them from neutral into enemy countries overnight and their territories could become a ‘target’ for Russia.” -RT
I don’t think Putin spoke like that. The same words would of been perfect – the key words are “from neutral into enemy” and “target.” It’s better than something like “if you do that, we’ll have a military-technical response, placing the latest weapons close to Finland.” Maybe nothing dissuades crazy provokers, but the first message has a far greater chance of dissuading Finland’s adversarial government. Also, if you give a softer message than the actual policy you may follow later, it’s worse even.
A lot of pessimism today in the comments. It’s unwarranted, personally I see the Russian operation succeeding little by little. The goal here is not to gain ground but to force a collapse of the UAF via manpower losses.
The more Zelensky and the AFU send forces to fight in the East the more targets the Russians have and opportunity to destroy AFU equipment/personnel. Unfortunately for Ukraine at large the goal for the Russian military I do not believe is to hold gained territory at all costs but rather to destroy/cause the surrender of as many AFU personnel as possible.
Russia cannot force the flow of weapons to stop from the West but they can destroy enough personnel from the AFU, that the remains of the AFU then rebel against the Kiev regime and force a coup and sign an unconditional type surrender to the Russians in exchange for a new status quo with new Ukrainian borders.
The number of weapons for this conflict from the west is virtually unlimited, the number of people willing to die on the western side is highly limited so far to mostly AFU personnel, that’s the variable the Russians are working on slowly and surely. The AFU has not broken yet which I admit is surprising but there is a limit to the stress it can endure, by keeping the action in the East, Russia is fighting on better ground than fighting in the West, in the East the Russian border is near and supply lines are easier to maintain as well as LPR/DPR troops with good fighting experience on their side.
In short Russia is using Zelensky’s and the Wests propaganda/media war of not giving up a single inch of Ukrainian territory and the myth that Ukraine can militarily defeat Russia to Russias advantage by having the Ukrainians send more and more troops to the East where Russia has more advantages.
If the AFU/Zelensky was not operating on propaganda wins they would actually withdraw from the East and bait the Russians to follow and thereby stretch their supply lines as supply and organization seem to be the weak point of the Russian forces, the majority of Russian losses happened with the Kiev push. This whole propaganda war that Ukraine is winning is proving disastrous on the ground for their actual strategic military manpower losses.
‘The number of weapons for this conflict from the west is virtually unlimited, the number of people willing to die on the western side is highly limited so far to mostly AFU personnel, that’s the variable the Russians are working on slowly and surely.’
I’d disagree slightly with the suggestion that the Russians are working on any single variable. The depletion and demoralization of combat capable forces is certainly a key factor. But so is the destruction of those “virtually unlimited” armaments from the west, and/or at least preventing them from reaching the combat capable forces in active operational areas. From what I’m able to distill from the admittedly confused and incomplete reports that are available, I’d “guestimate” that the latter focus is being at least as heavily emphasized at present by Russia’s centers as the former.
Somebody more knowledgeable than I please correct me if I’m wrong about that.
Maybe call it War, and get on with it. The longer it goes the losses accumulate over time, military and civilian. Russia is not dealing with rational people, why drag it out, why leave a building full of NATO jar heads calling the shots. Like they piss on every dead Russian…..SF have vids of Allied service personnel having their heads bound with blue tape, disgusting and degrading for the soldiers, likely not their worst fate ……as for the Rats in the hole. Nothing to gain by taking them alive, will not change a thing. Get it over with, flood the place with gasoline and toss in a match.
Cheers M
On the long run it will become more and more difficult for the RF to achieve their goals maybe even impossible , from putting the AFU in a cauldron, mentioned at the beginning , n Donbas the RF is are far war away. i don’t see any option for the RF to encircle Kharkow, as i understood Kharkow will be part of he land corridor , so how they will take Kharkow?
The door for the AFU to west ukraine is still wide open. i mean we are hearing always, AFU is running out of fuel, ammunition, vehicles etc. but why it is still possible for the AFU to hold their ground at Donezk ? We dont see mass surrenders, or really heavy losses ,we don’t know if the losses reported by the RF MOD on AFU side are true maybe it’s 70% propaganda and 30 % truth.
not to forget there are still 100 to 150K AFU forces in Donbas defending a small frontline comparing to the far more longer frontline the RF have to keep and defend.
not to forget russian intel is fighting against the whole NATO intel, they improve their tactics and communication day by day.
I dont know maybe we are all a little blinded by the allegedly success stories of the RF MOD
You’ve seen the videos of the Russian teams that have to collect abandoned UKR bodies by the truckload? They are not gloating. They are depressed.
After ‘ghost of kiev’ its pretty challenging to say both sides are equally lying,
BUT here we are😂
I find a lot positive in what’s going on between NATO and Russia. How many countries have complained that they’re about out of weapons to send, that they’ve drawn their own stockpiles way down? It’s as if Russia had said, “Would everyone please bring their weapons and put them in a pile here where we can blow them up?”
Very few of the weapons sent have made any difference in Ukraine, but it’s certainly made a difference back home in the NATO cupboards. Yes, of course they can order more, but it doesn’t happen overnight–and it costs lots of money.
On Ukie refugees in Finland
A large number (1500) are being settled in Imatra
This is 5km from the Russian border, and there is a sizeable Russian population living there
I wonder whether this is chance (there is housing available) or malicious politics
Either way I see no good coming from this
what is wrong with Moon of Alabama?
anyone else having problems connecting?
Yes, it appears down
Yep can’t connect so far today
Works fine for me (Firefox browser in USA)
Here (France) all works fine.
Challenges to Russia emerging. Not only the Baltic Sea perhaps becoming under NATO influence but I would put this also with Greece becoming literally a huge US/NATO military base at the strategic opening of the Black Sea. Turkey is not happy with the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and cites Greece’s behavior in the alliance towards Turkey. Here is hoping Erdogan sticks to his guns on this one. I group all of this together and as it stands it could make any new US/NATO offensive in the Ukraine difficult for Russia as influence in both seas is attempted
Latvia declares the Baltic Sea a NATO territory

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, in a commentary to the Financial Times about the plans of Finland and Sweden to join the North Atlantic Alliance, said that the Baltic Sea “is becoming a NATO sea.”
Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia issued a statement promising to ratify the applications of Finland and Sweden “as soon as possible”. This will strengthen the own security of these countries and the potential to repel any attack, the heads of the foreign ministries of these republics stressed, TASS reports .

Turkey is following the process around the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and so far cannot look at it positively, said President Tayyip Erdogan.
“We are following the process. But we are not in positive, positive opinions on this matter. Because before that there was a mistake in connection with Greece. You are aware of Greece’s behavior in the alliance towards Turkey.
https://vz.ru/news/2022/5/13/1158285.html
I see this in the opposite way. These look like near desperation moves by NATO, partly because in a functional alliance all of these details would be worked out behind closed doors and then announced in their final (or near final) form with broad support. These moves suggest that there isn’t strong leadership or even strategic thinking. In Finland NATO now has to protect a much larger border; who does this and how? There’s PR value but how much actual strategic value?
Much is made about Russian statements regarding returning NATO to 1997 borders with an assumption that this will be done via military means. I disagree with that assumption. NATO is a relatively brittle organization that’s highly dependent on support from the US. In my opinion, a medium term effect of the Ukraine conflict is to show that the US will give you money and guns but otherwise let you die. In-fighting within NATO is a real danger to it, like Greece and Turkey. And any significant economic downturn in the US is likely to produce an inward facing government unwilling to keep pumping money into NATO allies (the opposite reaction and world war is also possible, but the US military is brittle and over-extended too). Many of the Eastern European NATO members are facing a severe depletion of their equipment stocks via Ukraine. They’re promised modernization but what’s the real timeline for that?
And those NATO members nearest Russia are also hearing more western NATO members talk about how NATO needs to focus attention on the Indo-Pacific region. No realistic projection could have NATO as it stands be able to rearm itself, increase its presence to counter Russia in Europe *and* have the immediate means to operate with a larger presence in East Asia on a timeline of less then a decade.
Lex,
Agreed this is roughly Moscows’ (and Pekings’) Grand Strategy – thats partly why the Demilitarization of Ukraine can move at a glacial pace. My guess is Moscow recognizes it will take at least until the depth of winter for NATO subjects to start getting restless.
Its also likely that come Feb., the serfs in the US will be getting their pitchforks and torches out. The US might break first. US society is kinda like Spain in 1934 – divided and angry
I responded to you but it did not come out as a reply. Look at the NATO or other NATOS being formed. “As it stands” is your key, the plan goes beyond the boundaries of NATO into a much larger organization, it is morphing. Thanks for your reply.
There’s weapons systems and then there are troops. Demographics has the US/West pretty much pointed toward a decline in potential troop increases. Meanwhile, if things get really heated up, Russia will likely see China “assist,” in which case the show is over for the US/West.

Nothing much will come out of UN. By now it should be clear that any outrage in last 70 plus years has been mainly the outcome of media manipulation.
with the bans on russian media and rampant censoring on Youtube, Twitter, and blocking of many websites by google and other search engines as well as unannounced bans by ISPs
its become clear that the global south needs to have independent means of video sharing, and internet sharing and other means of mass communication . China has made huge progress on this front , Telegram is one such great app.
But more needs to be done. we se that in almost every type of internet based media global south us 70% of the market even without china in it. Infact except for reddit every other US media has India as its number one market.
Thus there is sufficient market and sufficient tech capability to create new products in the global south without the need to have American or european customers.
Chinese, Arab money, Russian expertise and Indian tech and management can make it happen.
Thus theres a market
Of course the zombified/hypnotised people in the NATO countries will not have a clue about the Russian victory. They will be told that Russia has suffered a catastrophic defeat and totally swallow it.Not that it really matters. As one very reliable commentator often says “it is what it is”.
I bet Zelensky is looking forward to retiring and luxuriate in his ill-gotten wealth and status gained for his part in the evil attempt at destroying Russia. If allowed to by his handlers! Fortunately, most of the worlds population is aware of what a charlatan he is.
zelenskij wont survive this.
…and neither will most of his accomplices.
The SMO is not winding down.
The intensity of RF action is maintained at a high level primarily through artillery and missile attacks. Hybrid warfare (political / economic) is just beginning.
From my comfy armchair it seems obvious that once the surrounded AFU in eastern Ukraine has surrendered and / or been completely destroyed, Russia will focus on Odessa, which could be a replay of Mariupol if Ukraine does not capitulate (which it won’t, as it is on remote control from Lagley, VA). After that I think the RF will carefully sweep west to complete demilitarization and denazification.
I fully expect Ukraine to continue destroying itself in a war of foregone conclusion. As citizens rise up – indicated by various sources that is beginning – the SBU will clamp down even harder. You can’t hide the deaths of >30,000 soldiers and complete economic collapse no matter how much you censor or how much propaganda you put out.
If I had to predict an “end” it would be Zelensky running the Ukrainian government in exile from a luxurious apartment in London (while sitting on billions in offshore accounts pilfered from economic aid) while what remains of Ukraine (less the eastern portion and whatever Poland tries to lop off for itself) collapses upon itself like a black hole, becoming a haven for international criminals (even moreso than it already was) and US backed terrorist proxies aimed at Russia.
Which will of course not be the end of anything but rather just the beginning of the next phase of operations.
Some here and certainly Mr. Z. have not checked their history!
See Iraq’s Mr. Hussein’s fabulous handshake with Rumsfeld only to be hung in a pit a few years later.
Mr. Hussein did do US duty with a 8-year war with Iran, then got the WMD treatment.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/3/38/Shakinghands_high.ogv/Shakinghands_high.ogv.240p.vp9.webm
Mr. Z. sure has more media coverage than Mr. Hussein, zooming all over the place – insurance?
US midterms in Nov. – if the Dems succeed, domestic problems hit hard and forget Mr. Z., if they collapse blame Mr. Z. , and GOP hit by domestic problems blame Ukraine. Bad deal either way.
My prediction is that Mr. Z will be ‘president’ of Ukraine in Zone A salons and video meetings, without needing to step foot in the Ukraine, not even in Lvov.
Similar to the ‘president’ of Venezuela.
Zone A oligarchs can play the game ‘Risk’, and pretend to be running the world even as they fade into irrelevance. Mr. Z will be a game piece, like the flat iron token in Monopoly.
I guess they want keep Odessa for last. Hopefully the Ukrainian forces will not put up resistance by that time. It is a nice and historical city. Would be a shame if it gets destroyed by have fighting.
Better let the Ukranian army get bleed out in Donbas and destroying every resupplies in a controlled manner when it arrives there.
Zelensky is not dominating the headlines simply because they can no longer justify his further resistance.
It is unjustified both from military-technical and moral view. Zelensky is literally wasting the lives of his countrymen.
and it’s not far fetched those countrymen will ultimately put the Kadafi treartment on him and his staff…
New report from Telegram with video:
Advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Viktor Andrusiv announced plans for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch artillery and missile strikes on Belgorod.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin/48466
We’ve been hearing for weeks now about how Russia would target the Ukrainian leadership decision making centers in Kiev if they targeted Russia. So far since then there have been about a dozen attacks on Russian soil. The latest killed a child and injured 6 other people. Well here we are with this official saying they want to target Russia. It’s past time to start ” walking the walk” and stop just “talking the talk”. If they had done that weeks ago that child would probably be alive today. If there are government officials unwilling for whatever reason to protect their citizens. It’s time for them to move over and let those that will protect their citizens take their place. And that goes for those however high in power they may be.Pretty soon (it should have already happened) citizens in those border regions are going to start asking hard questions about the lack of protection they have been getting.
Caution is needed here I think. That’s an odd statement to make by the Ukranian Minister especially when UAF are in serious trouble now and are suffering heavier losses every day. It could be a ploy to get Russia to hit the decision making centres as a mechanism by which to incur further hatred of Russia by the West and hey presto, NATO will find an excuse to enter the conflict. I trust the RF’s President and his military advisors but the FSB is outstanding in their intelligence work. Russia, if it deems it to be necessary, will attack decision making centres as and when it is appropriate to do so. I think for now, they are right to concentrate their focus on the SMO. It would be too easy to get distracted. I also see that the EU countries are becoming somewhat more divided by this oil issue and large oil companies in some countries are signing contracts for payment in rubles from Gazprom. Listening to Rand Paul Republican Senator at the Senate today, there is growing political dissent in the USA too about further billions of USD$ being sent to the Ukraine. Rand Paul has put a block on this money going anywhere and is demanding a detailed and full audit of all the money that has been sent to Ukraine prior to this. It’s a start. He spoke a lot of sense today.
cold heads buddy, cool heads!

So what’s next on the hype parade? WW3, WW3, WW3? Who knows. The only thing for sure is that a majority of people in the west will lurch obediently to the next and ignore the reality of the past failures. Sigh.
We hear very little about losses to the Russian and LNDR forces during the SMO. But here is a post from Colonel Cassad on losses of the DPR* during the current struggle. I’m going to guess that proportionately actual Russian force losses are much lower, though might be in actual numbers higher. While Ukrainian losses must be 6-10 times higher so far:
Official losses of the DPR from May 6 to May 12
Military:
Killed – 78
Wounded 495
Civilian:
Killed – 11
Wounded – 65
From January to May 2022, official losses are:
Military:
Killed – 1713
Wounded – 7070
Civilian:
Killed – 570
Wounded 1696
https://t.me/boris_rozhin/48470
*Note: The DPR total losses include from January before the SMO started. But from when the Ukrainians started increasing their aggression on the DPR from the first of the year.
They lost close to 1000 per year in Minsk 2 situation.
So, for all the combat they have taken on (huge part of Mariupol, Kherson and then their own part of the Donbass) they have reasonable numbers. What is up dramatically is Civilian. Shows the deliberate war crimes targeting of Donbass Russian Speakers.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has already interrogated 4,000 military men, incl. over 200 officers.
Investigators seized a number of documents, including medical books and other materials, which made it possible to form a database with the identification data of more than 450 Azov Nazis.
Russia should recognise Northern Cyprus and make a good deal with Turkey. At least Russia could mention such a possibility.
Even if Russia does that, Turkey will still (eventually) stab Russia in the back. There’s a long history of Turkey-Russian wars, and Turkey always ends up on the short end. Russia recognizing Northern Cyprus would probably delay more Turkey anti-Russian moves for 6 months.
A notable article published today (5/13/22) by the propaganda organ known as Ukraine Crisis Media Center:
“The Beast from the Void. Putin’s fascism: How it came about and what it wants” (https://uacrisis.org/en/putins-fascism)
Note the image at the top, reminiscent of amateur 20th-century war propaganda.
Note also the dehumanization of the people of Russia:
“A lion’s share of Russian soldiers that are now dying in Ukraine are those that were born and raised during Putin’s reign of the last twenty years. Today, in the days of military euphoria, the absence of a natural clinical reflex (signalling human life and human lives in a way) to the tragic events taking place is completely absent among Russians. However, it is likely that the ‘patient’ was already unresponsive and unlikely to be ‘alive’. The collective conscience of the Russian people often showed the world their inability to construct a modern, humane and law-based society. To the contrary, the Russians expressed the will to participate in a country of all-out violence, as it has always been the case historically.”
Racism here is blatant. The author, Larysa Yakubova, PhD, is a faculty member at Doetsk Christian University. One would think that she would not stoop so low.
Who is sponsoring publications such as these? There is a long list on UCMS’s about page:
USAID, NATO, UNICEF, Embassies of the US, Finland, Sweden … even Switzerland! (https://uacrisis.org/en/pro-nas:)
On the same page, it states:
“At UCMC, we take our reputation very seriously. We maintain high professional and ethical standards in all of our activities …”
There is a bit of irony here.
Now, replace the word Russians with Jews. Worrying isn’t it?
I just checked the European sheeple today. Absolutely nothing zero 0 learned in the last 2 years:
Back to my cappucino, my life and my next tourist travel to Benidorm, Russia bad, Putin dictator, Ukraine wealthy refugees good, gold silver bad, green flat-screen crypto good.
As I already predicted it: If people havent woke up today since 9/11 2001, they will never wake up.
RF and its allies can’t have their smartphones in the field at all. They are locked up back at base.
But its Tiktok war for zoomer generation. Not possible without smartphones and internet.
It is a plan, you have to look at NATO expansion beyond the ‘hood’. Yes it has started but will take time to mature. Indo Pacific could be in reach or not we don’t know the scope yet.
Turkey the quintessential fence sitter and guardian of Black Sea access needs to make a firm commitment to Russia/China etc.
As for the fight to control the seas the Caspian should be included. Russia has been hitting the Ukraine from the Caspian but needs to do away with many limitations of the Volga–Don Canal.
The tasks Russian and now Chinese firms face in reconditioning the 70-year-old Volga–Don Canal are enormous. This reconditioning will take a long time but thankfully can be utilized as work progresses not just in its final realization.
“a decision has been made to address the canal’s limitations—a
decision likely driven by security considerations as much as economic ones—it appears that China will become a major player in this effort. Such cooperation will enable Russia to use the canal not only to promote a role for itself in China’s east-west trade but also for military and security purposes. In the latter case, even though the project will not be completed for a minimum of eight years, any improvement in the canal will ultimately aid Russia in prosecuting its severe pressure campaign against Ukraine (see EDM, May 31, 2018, November 27, 2018, April 13, 2021).”

Indo-Pacific, more countries are involved I don’t have the time to reference them now. Like I said depends on scope and we don’t know the depth yet.
Beijing has warned of “firm countermeasures” after Canberra and Tokyo “inflamed regional tensions” by forming a “NATO in the Pacific”.
Japan and Australia this week signed a Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) to strengthen defence and security ties. The pact was a “shared trust between two great democracies committed to the rule of law, human rights, free trade and a free and open Indo-Pacific,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.

Appreciate the reply. I agree that there more than a few layers here and it goes beyond just NATO. It’s certainly possible that the west’s plans are successful too. I think the big problem the west has is that it plans using best case scenarios because it expects no effective opposition. The US is leveraging nations like Finland to do stupid stuff in the context of war fever. It will realize short term gains for sure, but it is not very good at stringing short term gains together.
The OAS appears to be falling apart in near open revolt against the US. Will that be permanent? Probably not. But it matters because the US has a short attention span and is getting into a situation where it has brush fires everywhere at the same time. I’m interested in the after analysis of the ASEAN meeting, it could be telling.
When I attempt a historical perspective on the US right now it’s hard to see anything but late imperial, stretched way too thin, long successful on reputation and threats alone, beginning to experience internal divisions and lacking much in the way of clear purpose or unity of strategic behavior because the driving force is the people with power/money wanting primarily to keep it. As an American I worry a lot because I know full well our “leadership” class is full of incompetent psychopaths who will keep doubling down and seeking refuge in a mythical ideology of good vs evil. I don’t trust them and can see really irrational behavior if they think the bets are going bad.
I’m to the point of hesitating to offer predictions even to myself. Too many wild variables. Too many unpredictable second order effects. It’s a historical inflection point for sure. Fascinating and dangerous.
“Ukrainian refugees are showing their mettle by knifing and killing a man in Poland who stepped up to defend a young woman that was harassed by the refugees. ”
Like the flood of “refugees” from NATZO’s war on Syria: many of them were NATZO’s ISIS terrorists fleeing from resistance by the Syrian army and its allies (Russian, Iran and Hezb). I would not be surprised if many of the West’s “Ukrainian refugees” were able bodied young men with military training in NATZO weapons and a bad attitude.
Why are there any male able bodied refugees from Ukraine in Poland or anywhere else when they’re dragging young men from gas lines in Ukraine for forced conscription and sending them to the front lines after a weeks training? Unless they benefit from a ‘religious exemption’ from war.
It’s more a “money exemption”. They either snuck over the border,or even more likely bribed their way over the border. From what I’ve read before,Ukrainian “patriots” have been charging around a thousand to five thousand dollars a piece for men crossing the border.
I read the price is 5000 € to bribe yourself over the polish border. Gangsters ?
I have seen a caravan of uki vehicles pull in a gas station 2 miles from the ukie border. Well after the declaration of the ban on 18-60 MAM citizens leaving the country.

🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡The Russian army broke through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Izyum and took a well-fortified settlement. For a long time, the battles for this village went on for several weeks.
Around Dolgenkiy, the enemy concentrated large forces with armored vehicles and artillery.
The Russian army unleashed a huge number of cannon artillery shells and MLRS on the fortified area of the enemy, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses here. In the forests, Russian special forces carved out a lot of guard posts.
Our troops continue the offensive from the Kharkiv region to the Donbass.
Moon of Alabama appears to be down
After the 2014 coup Putin beat the cookie monster/neocohens to the punch and took Crimea. Once again he has beaten them to the punch and taken over Donbass now. There is a very interesting map of khazaria which the neocohens appear to be aspiring to in Solzhenitsyns “200 years together”.
Yup…he appears to have a plan of some sort…😉
In Canada, propaganda represents the news. There is no way for the viewer to determine the validity of information presented. There is no way for a discerning listener to challenge the bias, inference, fact, and judgement which is claimed to be authentic and objective.
As Howard Zinn wrote “Democracy depends on citizens being informed, and since our media, especially television, reports mostly what the people in power do” as they repeat what the people in power want you to know. The public is badly informed, bias is relentless, the narrative of NATO and the Ukrainian produced information are repeated and expressed most directly. For example, the government political, economic, religious, military, ethnic or social class point of view predominates the news. The society is brainwashed, and absolute ignorance prevails on any topic of Russia.
On a recent campaign trail, the NDP (supposed socialist) Leader Jagmeet Singh was attacked and called a traitor by a hostile crowd. There are several reasons why this could have happened. It could have been racism from the right-wing -Nazi elements in Canadian society to hate Jagmeet as he is an Indo Canadian. It could have been Singh’s betrayal of socialist principles and partnership with Trudeau’s rabid support for NATO militarism.
Or it could have been Singh’s critic for Foreign Affairs, Heather McPherson (anti coal, anti-oil) who hails from Alberta a predominantly Ukrainian voting block in Edmonton, the same area that Trudeau’s Ukrainian lobbyist Chrystia Freeland the granddaughter of a Nazi Michael Chomiak calls home.
If in fact this attack was racist which it seems to be, why is Sigh supporting the most racist elements in our society and by extension the racist elements in Ukraine. The crowd also had disillusioned New Democrats who oppose Singh’s recent agreement with Trudeau on future cooperation ad voting strategy and his support for pro Ukrainian Nazis.
The CBC news is always preempted with emotive language, a warning of graphic video which appeals to emotions or oversimplification that attempt to sway the viewer to support a point of view, so he/she can feel anger, fear, patriotism, love or hate. We are fed one or two clips produced in Ukraine, usually portraying Russian soldiers as rapists, war criminals, boozers, or deserters.
The newsreader never tells us the SOURCE of the video clip which miraculously appear out of context and in places where the Russians have been and left, so the Ukrainian soldiers buried in mass are resurrected as civilians. In one clip we are told that a Russian soldier was buried with the civilians and the innuendo is that Russians lack compassion unlike the Ukrainian Nazis who desecrate the monuments to the millions of Ukrainian and other Soviet soldiers who liberated Europe from Nazism. In another clip from a safe place in Copenhagen, a woman is interviewed who was supposedly strip-searched at a Russian check point but did not have her backpack searched. Another video shows four Russian soldiers breaking into a building attacking two elderly men, they then leave and come back and shoot them and then go to the office to have a drink to celebrate. How fuc—g stupid do you think we are?
We are never told how this information was gathered. The information is simplified to create an image in the uneducated masses of Canada that have been brought up on Russophobia so that even a Russian person will fear telling someone that they are Russian.
Yesterday, I purchased some paint, from a clerk who is of Russian background and in the past like the other day I practice my poor university Russian with her, and she was hesitant to respond. She said she fears to say that she was Russian. I tell her be proud of being Russian and if someone criticizes you tell them that your forefathers saved Europe from the Mongol invasion, Ottoman and English invasion, Catholic crusades, Teutonic knights, Swedes, Poles, Europe under Napoleon, the Nazis under Hitler, and now they are saving us against the evil that they did not finish in 1945.
The so-called experts that CBC uses are Russian haters like William “Bill” Browder who has been a figure of some prominence on the world scene for the past decade. A few months back, Der Spiegel published a major exposé on him and the case of Sergei Magnitsky but the mainstream media completely ignored this report and so aside from Germany few people are aware of Browder’s background and the Magnitsky issue which resulted in sanctions on Russia.” https://www.unz.com/article/bill-browder-a-billionaire-accused-of-being-a-fraud-and-liar/
The REPUTATION – of the expert like Browder is ignored, the information is never from a respected historian, the experts are mostly unknown or connected to some NATO or government agency. The real experts are sanctioned and never interviewed.
The most blatant propaganda uses women and children, which affect objectivity. (sex, age, sexual or political affiliation or orientation, religion, ethnic group or religious group) is used to solicit sympathy. The subject is compared to something pleasant or unpleasant, and the words used sway the viewer to think positively or negatively about the subject.
They ignore the Ukrainian history of Nazism, homophobia, racism and defend the Azov battalion with sympathetic photograph of soldiers in the steel plant tunnels as the victims rather than individuals whose policies denied the Russian people in Ukraine to speak their own language, killed police officer in the Maidan, and burned people in buildings in Odessa and killed some 14,000 people in the Donbass.
What sells in the Canadian media is lies by omission. For example, 80% of all the fighting in W.W.II was on the Russian Front, yet school textbooks devotes about 10% of space to this event. The Media is even worse they never, never provide a Russian perspective nor do they draw any conclusions from the facts from Vietnam, Cambodia, South America, Africa, Yugoslavia, and the Middle East of why Russia does not trust NATO locating in their backyard.
FACTS or events that are verifiable and are known to be true are ignored, and made-up events replace evidence. An anti-Kremlin journalist that dies in Russia, the death is automatically linked to the Kremlin while the death of 15 Aljazeera journalists who died in the last 20 years in targeted assassinations, like the Middle East refugees, are unworthy of consideration or protection.
The journalists who expose lies and tell the truth languish in exile or in a UK jail. This is never reported, and if facts should contradict the dominant narrative they are quickly removed, and any evidence that is presented and found to be false is never updated.
Thank you. Stay strong!
That’s why I stopped listening to MSM decades ago. Thanks for the confirming they haven’t changed.
Or it could have been Jagmeet Singh’s lapdog compliance with Trudeau in his complete betrayal of the Canadian Trucker’s petition for relief from covid madness. Most Canadians were finished with Jagmeet after his disgusting performance in Parliament when the truckers were in Ottawa with a very mild petition request as he joined Trudeau to support unleashing completely unlawful force on the truckers.
Yes, it very well could have been, but Jugmeet has betrayed all the working men and women of Canada. Trudeau and Freeland and if Ottawa-area MP Pierre Poilievre becomes leader of the Conservatives, any shred of democracy that we think we have will end like the dodo bird. Oh yes, they will tell you and me that they want to know what we think, but as soon as we do that they will silence us.
A foretelling of the future from a pro-Russian Ukrainian site. Be sure to check out the picture in the link. I think that gives us a look at what is in store for some of the current Kiev nazis:

Truths from the front:
Anything can be said about top management. But a soldier, an officer, and the institution of the Russian Army itself is holy.
Any sober-minded patriot, liberal, waxer, anti-waxer, rightist, leftist, anyone, should understand this very clearly and clearly.
Otherwise he is a fool or an enemy. But a fool always, if not tactically, then strategically, acts in the interests of the enemy. Not only Russia, but all progressive Mankind.
https://t.me/OpenUkraine/16754
And after Russian troops have found girls murdered by Ukrainian nazis in liberated areas:
There is such a legend from the history of the Great Patriotic War. Allegedly, having learned about the Nazi atrocities against Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, Stalin ordered that no one from the 332nd regiment, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Rüderer, be taken prisoner. It was the soldiers and officers of this regiment who tortured and executed Zoya.
Was Stalin’s order or not, it is not known for certain. But the fact that the Soviet soldiers really did not take prisoners from the 332nd regiment is a real fact. The Soviet army twice almost completely destroyed the regiment. It was reformed, but in the end, in the 44th, it ceased to exist.
Here is what they wrote in the front newspaper:
“A few months ago, the 332nd Infantry Regiment, whose soldiers and officers brutally tortured Zoya, was marked on the sector of our front. Upon learning that they were facing the regiment of the executioner Rüderer, who had executed Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, the soldiers swore not to leave alive any of the warriors of this In the battles near the village of Verdino, the German regiment of the executioners of our Zoya was finally defeated.Hundreds of Nazi corpses remained in the ruined bunkers and trenches.
When the captured non-commissioned officer of the regiment was asked what he knew about the execution of the young partisan, he, trembling with fear, stammered:
– It wasn’t me, it was Rüderer, Rüderer…
Another soldier captured the other day during interrogation stated that in the 332nd regiment from those who were near Moscow, participated in the execution of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, only a few people survived … ”
So. It is important to know the unit number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The name of the tortured girl. And then everything is clear.

On the seatback at the river:
I am reading (watching) Voenkor Kotenok, Yura Podolyak about the events near Belogorovka.
Until we find out the name of this “military genius” who laid the BTG near the river and he does not publicly answer for this, then there will be no reforms in the army.
The offensive in the Donbass is being hampered, not only due to the lack of effective intelligence from UAVs, but also due to such generals. How can one not remember Comrade Stalin, who, despite the difficult war days, was not afraid to make tough personnel decisions. If this is not done, then no mobilization will save us – another idiot in an astrakhan hat will burn our armored personnel carriers near some village.
Hey Bob
I think your last paragraph really nails the weakness in the Russian military – surveillance drones. They simply don’t seem to have enough and enough experience using them.
This needs to need addressed urgently for when the main event against Nato forces starts
For your information, these Russian generals are crushing the Ukrainian troops. Truth from the front for slow uncles!

Bob you wrote, “The offensive in the Donbass is being hampered, not only due to the lack of effective intelligence from UAVs, but also due to such generals.”
I would ask, how does UAV intelligence stack up against dual-use Starlink thermal imaging?
Dual-use Starlink is considered a ‘must use’ by Ukraine. Excellent site. https://www.lawfareblog.com/what-does-starlinks-participation-ukrainian-defense-reveal-about-us-space-policy
excerpt…
Dual useWhile USAID posits that the terminals are necessary to “safeguard” public internet access, Starlink has reportedly enabled members of the Ukrainian Aerorozvidka to carry out sophisticated intelligence collection and fire support operations against Russian positions. One Ukrainian military official even told the Times of London that he “must” use Starlink in order to acquire Russian targets with thermal imaging.
Recent signal jamming and cyberattacks have battered Ukrainian digital network infrastructure and caused severe outages. Reports attribute these attacks, which are consistent with prior Russia-sponsored cyber operations, to Russian actors.
In an effort to secure redundant communications capabilities, Ukrainian Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Federov appealed to Elon Musk for Starlink-enabled internet. In response, Musk’s company SpaceX activated Starlink service in Ukraine and sent additional network terminals. And while USAID posits that the terminals are necessary to “safeguard” public internet access, Starlink has reportedly enabled members of the Ukrainian Aerorozvidka to carry out sophisticated intelligence collection and fire support operations against Russian positions. One Ukrainian military official even told the Times of London that he “must” use Starlink in order to acquire Russian targets with thermal imaging.
Musk corresponds with the Ukrainian government against the backdrop of a complex legal landscape. This post explores several tenets of international humanitarian law as it might govern Russian targeting of Starlink infrastructure. It then assesses how and why Musk’s actions threaten to draw the U.S. in as a party to the conflict. Finally, it proposes modifications to domestic policy that could help avoid such an outcome now and in the future.
Dual-use objects, or objects that serve both a military and a civilian use, provide unique challenges to military commanders. Dual-use objects may be targets of attack only during those times when they are used for a military purpose, and when such a strike would also not be disproportionate. As system elements become more attenuated from the military actions they enable, and increasingly commingled with nonmilitary purposes, proportionality and military necessity calculus tends to disfavor attack. However, each case-by-case determination depends on the information reasonably available to military commanders and the temporality element regarding a particular object’s use.
Ukrainian access to the full spectrum of US signit is critical. If this was open war with NATO, then Russia would target that equipment and bring its full EW capability to the conflict. In the current context, Russia has its hands tied. I understand people’s emotional desire to see the playing field leveled, but I’d prefer not be nuked so must admire Russian restraint.
A lot of energy (not here specifically) devoted to the speed / pace of the SMO.
As we watch the West de-industrializing itself, debasing its currencies, sinking deeper into debt, as we see the countries of the ‘united’ West turning on each other, in small ways and large, and Western leadership increasingly exposed before their own populations, one has to wonder if the Russian leadership is instructing the military to proceed as slowly as can be justified from a military perspective, to keep feeding the West what it needs to destroy itself.
quoting ”one has to wonder if the Russian leadership is instructing the military to proceed as slowly as can be justified from a military perspective, to keep feeding the West what it needs to destroy itself.”

And the Military fatigue thing, from an actor pretending to play soldier? LAME! Snort a few more lines, and take a bath, penis/piano man. Lol.
You can’t make this stuff up…
Haaretz (an Israeli newspaper) had an interview with the deputy commander of the Azov battalion. In the interview they asked him directly, “Can you say that the fighters of the battalion do not have actual swastikas tattooed on their bodies?” And he responds, “There are no swastikas.” However, the photo at the top of the article shows an Azov member in some kind of procession with a black sun tattoo clearly visible on his elbow. I guess technically it isn’t a swastika, but is there really a difference?
No one in the comments section seems to have noticed, but I’m guessing as soon as someone says something, they will change the photo. I thought I would post it here before that happens.

@Janice thanks for that. More and more I find that MSM is useful in some ways, especially the older articles. Even the New York Times had admitted the neo-NaziAzov connection (if we go far enough back in time). For example, an article from 2019 states:
“On his flak jacket was a symbol commonly used by the Azov Battalion, a Ukrainian neo-Nazi paramilitary organization.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/15/world/asia/christchurch-mass-shooting-extremism.html?searchResultPosition=8
Another article, from 2015, goes into more detail:
“Right Sector, for example, formed during last year’s street protests in Kiev from a half-dozen fringe Ukrainian nationalist groups like White Hammer and the Trident of Stepan Bandera. Another, the Azov group, is openly neo-Nazi, using the “Wolf’s Hook” symbol associated with the SS. Without addressing the issue of the Nazi symbol, the Chechen said he got along well with the nationalists because, like him, they love their homeland and hate the Russians.”
“To try to bolster the abilities of the Ukrainian regular forces and reduce Kiev’s reliance on these quasilegal paramilitaries, the United States Army is training the Ukrainian national guard. The Americans are specifically prohibited from giving instruction to members of the Azov group.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/08/world/europe/islamic-battalions-stocked-with-chechens-aid-ukraine-in-war-with-rebels.html?searchResultPosition=9
Now, just a few years later, the Azov fighters are heroes — how things change, eh? Such is life in The Empire of Lies.
@Janice on second look I know exactly what you mean. There is clearly a resemblance between the tattoo in the photo and the image shown here:

Good sleuthing on your part!
The funny thing is, I wasn’t even trying to sleuth. I was really just interested in how a Jewish run newspaper would interview an overt Nazi leader, but it was so in my face I couldn’t help but notice.
I expect media to be biased, but the coverage around the the war in Ukraine is totally over the top. I have now seen a Jewish news outlet covering for Nazis. I have seen articles that argue the Russians are a bunch of incompetent morons that can’t even beat a weak country like Ukraine and then go on to argue that everyone better join NATO or the Russians might annihilate them all. And whenever there is a war crime, the media’s response is to say, “Of course Russia did it. Why would Ukraine kill their own people?” Meanwhile, Ukraine has been engaged in a civil war for almost a decade which by definition means they have been killing their own people.
Well, maybe they well know it was a hollow-hoax, so nothing really/at all solid against them swasticke guys.
Who is twisting Finlands’ arm to commit national suicide? Are they really that stupid? Apparently, yes. Do the people of Finland really agree to this insanity, or are the polls being manipulated? The morally bankrupt, inbreeders who rule the west don’t care what the little people think, as THEY know what’s best, even if it includes W.W. 3.

File this under the resilience of the Russian spirit:
Yesterday, in the liberated Mariupol, about 8,000 employees of the plant named after. Ilyich came to the first meeting.
The main purpose of the meeting, accomplished:
heads of workshops and teams found out which of the employees remained in the city and who is alive.
People stayed in the city, people want to restore the plant, people want to work and are waiting for the pipes of the plant to smoke under the jurisdiction of the DPR.

We shouldn’t get our hopes up that Turkey and/or other NATO states will block Finland and Sweden joining. Blocking Ukraine didn’t stop the country from being de facto NATOized (which is already the case with the Nordics, who are NINO [neutral in name only]). Their joining NATO merely regularizes the de facto situation, relieving Russia of the need to restrict its military dispositions out of respect for their “neutrality”.
As for what Russia does in response, that remains to be seen. They will almost certainly regard Finland’s renunciation of the commitment to neutrality in perpetuity that ended its state of war with Russia as a renewed declaration of war — what else can they do? The only question is how public Russia will be about it. Putin is renowned for patience and keeping his cards close; he’ll probably wait for the just the right moment to respond, ratcheting up towards the military-technical response that’s already been promised. But that will probably have to wait until Ukraine is properly subdued, which could take months or more.
I think that Finland will come after Russia mops up in Syria (unfinished business- Donbass was an emergency that interrupted that work in Syria). Hoping that Russia will purge Israel out of Syria (wich, of course, includes Golan Heights), force it to stop bombing Syria.
“A subsidiary of the Russian Inter RAO will suspend electricity supplies to Finland from 01:00 on May 14. And this is just the beginning.” From Voenkor’s telegram
Thank you, dear Staff!
I think that quickly Russia is coming to see that no country on their border can be permitted to be really independent. The Soviet’s in 1945 understood that. Fresh from the horrors of WW2,with the smell of gunpowder still almost in the air. They understood that and created the Warsaw Pact as a buffer. Lazy after years of peace the Russians forgot the lessons from that genocidal war. And allowed those buffers to be stripped away. It’s time for Russia to correct that mistake. And never let it be forgotten again. If those states want to be Russia’s enemies they need to be shown what that entails. Wanting and supporting a Multi-Polar world doesn’t mean Russia should sit by and permit another giant power to form an organization of states pledged to destroy Russia. Her own security should always come before any other considerations. Russia over the centuries has suffered too much from attacks from/through those states to ever totally trust them again.
@ Uncle Bob
Good point, Uncle Bob.
“If you don’t learn from history, you’re condemned to repeat it,” goes the proverb.
The sclerotic leadership of the Soviet Union sat down on their nuclear power, and did not work at securing the future. The future has now arrived in the form of a proxy war, with Ukraine of all countries, as the spear point and beach head to destroy Russia. Time for Putin to go all the way. There is no other way.
The security of Russia demands it, and along with it, goes the redress of a new global security system in which the US/NATO are not the world police anymore. We hope Russia is prepared for a war that demands serious changes to the current global security structure. Otherwise, all the blood spilled in Ukraine, will be in vain.
Lone Wolf
The western Europe states must cease and desist threatening Russia’s military, social, economic, political and cultural security. Otherwise, they all face an SMO.
Do not put it all on Russia`s shoulder.
We can all do a little something in our pathetic little lives yes? A little of that creativity…a bit of mischief, a sense of adventure – ad astera!

“I think that quickly Russia is coming to see that no country on their border can be permitted to be really independent”.
Not quite, IMHO. “Independent” would be fine, if the country’s government were motivted by the true interests of that country and its people.
What is not acceptable – obviously – is for a country bordering on Russia to be run by people in the pay of washington, one of whose main goals is the destruction of Russia as a nation so that they can freely plunder its abundant resources.
And another of whose main goals was the destruction of Ukraine as a nation so that they could freely plunder its abundant resources and threaten Russia next door.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is driving another 5,000 soldiers into the SEVERODONETSK POTEL! This will be the MAIN battle of May-June. Reports by Yuriy Podolyak (19 videos)

Against this background, there was a conflict between the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Valery Zaluzhny insists on the withdrawal of troops from the city so that our group does not get surrounded, but Bankova has his own vision of the situation.
Western intelligence agencies estimate that Russia has deployed 105 battalion tactical groups in Ukraine, all of them in the Donbass and on the southern flank. At the beginning of the week there were 90 BTG.
There is an offensive of the RF Armed Forces in the direction of the settlement. Bogorodichnoye and Krasnopolye to the west of the city of Svyatogorsk. At the front near Yasinovataya, Kamenka and Novoselovka-2 are being stormed by the forces of the NM of the DPR and the RF Armed Forces. Severodonetsk is being stormed from three sides.

There has been some discussion about the huge material losses suffered by “Russia” when trying to to cross the Seversky Donets River and establish a bridgehead in Belogorovka. It now seems that not all the losses were Russian. Here is a good analysis.
Note, that “Дурацкого брода” in the Russian title refers to The Defence of Duffer’s Drift, a 1904 book on tactics by Ernest Dunlop Swinton.

Pepe Escobar has a new piece up about Bioweapons on Strategic Culture, which is getting a ddos attack
unfortunately Indias largest ISP has been blocking Strategic-culture.,org for last two weeks.
any alternative way to view it?
The way I’ve been able to read Strategic Culture is getting the article’s URL on their Telegram site then pasting it into https://archive.ph/ to look for a mirror post; it sometimes takes a few hours to appear.
“ZelenskyY is not dominating the MSM headlines in the last number of days.”
Amerika is bored of the Burisma war, and our gutless federal legislature decided to spend $44 BILLION for outdated and ineffective weaponry from NATO to be donated to the Ukies. All while they gave US farmers a piddling 500 million and illegal immigrants pallets of baby food while US shelves are empty.
I’m sorry that Ukraine citizens and Russian soldiers have to die simply because President Rectal Probe needs to distract Americans from what they see with their own eyes every day, but there it is.
Not so fast! US House majority whip is saying that the US is at war with Russia:

Can the genie be put back in the bottle? Biden says that Putin must go. And now we’re told that the US is at war with Russia. I think that the Rubicon has been crossed. Russia, unleash the hounds!
If Putin ”must go” as Assad was supposed to go lol
It is good to see them come to their senses and pay in Rubles. There is also this outrage of the frozen funds of Russia which the RAF allow to be ignored and remain unanswered. Unless this money is returned, Russia confiscates all western patents.
France, helping Ukraine … she herself was left without weapons
According to the Italian edition of InsideOver, the armed forces of France, which are considered the largest military force in Europe, were not ready to defend their own country.
This conclusion was reached by a parliamentary commission established by French President Emmanuel Macron after the start of a military special operation in Ukraine. According to reports, in the event of a standoff, the French army would use up its remaining ammunition in three days.
Now France lacks aircraft, ships, guns and ammunition. Tanks are equipped with standard ammunition less than half. A similar situation is observed in the Navy. In addition, the lack of ammunition has negatively affected law enforcement agencies, which are forced to minimize visits to shooting ranges.
To more or less replenish the arsenal, the country will need at least three years and catastrophic financial injections (about 6-7 billion euros), which they do not have.
🤷♂️But how easy it was to issue “aid” to Ukraine. The French authorities with the battle cry “Let’s help the Ragul!” did an enchanting somersault, managing to bite their own asses. A worthy start to a new term, Macron👍

Russia cuts supplies to Finland…payment issues….?
!!!!!!!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10814175/Russia-CUTS-electricity-Finland.html
Just 5% of Finnish energy comes from natural gas. 70% of it coming from Russia. So Russian gas has only 3,5% weight. Oil has weight of 19%, less than 80% from Russia. The total share of fossile oil+gas+coal in Finland is just 30% when it’s globally 84,2%. Unlike Germany Finns keep on not just using nuclear energy but actually increasing its use. The most important source of energy is actually wood, with 30%.
Finland on average has brought some 10% of electricity direct from Russia (some 900 MW average). New nuclear plant (Areva) will produce 1600 MW electricity.
Does Finland buy uranium from Russia for its nuclear power plants? A certain percentage of the uranium the U.S. uses is from Russia.
Also why does Finland import electricity from Russia if is mostly uses nuclear and wood?
Russia mines less uranium than Australia (#2), Canada(#4),Namibia(#3), Kazakhstan(#1), Uzbekistan(#5), and Niger(#6).
Kazakhstan mines over 3 times as much uranium as #2 miner, Australia.

Faulty question. You might as well ask why does the US import cheese from France if people mostly eat donuts and fried chicken?
Two of Finland’s five nuclear reactors are of Russian origin.
