Well, here is the promised open thread. In homage to the heroes in Novorossia who are fighting the Nazi death squads every day, here is a music video about prevailing against terrible odds and a famous monologue from the movie “Brat 2”:
Вот скажи мне американец, в чём сила! Разве в деньгах? Вот и брат говорит, что в деньгах. У тебя много денег, и чего? Я вот думаю, что сила в правде: у кого правда, тот и сильней! Вот ты обманул кого-то, денег нажил, и чего — ты сильней стал? Нет, не стал, потому что правды за тобой нету! А тот, кого обманул, за ним правда! Значит, он сильней!
See you all on Saturday and God bless,

@ MJ,
Q: D-Day & WWII – Familiar Myths About the Good War by Mark Weber
R: Unfortunately many keep using the word ‘Nazi’ without realizing in doing so, the help in keeping the ‘good [US/Allied forces]’ versus the ‘bad {Mostly Germany] myth very much alive.
For every single German Wehrmacht death, an average of 7,8 Russian soldiers had to die.
Russia bled Germany to death. That’s not what I’ve been taught, that’s what I learned over the years.
European dreams of building gas pipelines from Iran (to diversify away from Russia) have just died a horribly cruel death.
With the establishment of new, hardcore Islamist state encompassing western Iraq and eastern Syria, all viable routes for such pipelines have simply disappeared.
It’s only a matter of time until Europeans crawl into Kremlin and kiss Putin’s ring, begging for energy.
Empire’s calculations keep turning into miscalculations faster and faster these days.
Here is an impressive graphic of the clusterfnck in Iraq:
http://thinkprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/EDITED_conflicts_graph-12.jpg
Obama didn’t get us into this — but he’s lied his head off since he started campaigning so I’m not caring too much if he gets the blame now. I just do wish Dubya, Cheney and Rumsfeld could end up locked up for it also.
Peace Party,
It’s not the issues, it’s what people then do that matters. Decentralized activism creates Occupy, which accomplished what, exactly? And withdrawing consent is nothing but words until people get organized enough to do something that makes our oligarchs and pols WANT to do what we want them to. You’ve got some good ideas, but they’re only ideas until you get others to agree…
and then set goals, think strategy and then take well-defined action to meet them.
I do think they’re good ideas — but let’s see what those to the right of us have to say, bc ain’t nothin’ gonna happen if we don’t work together. And you’re going to hate the next part, but the organization, to be successful, is going to have to have a definite leadership structure. Read Michael McDonnell 17:06 and American Kulak, chew on it a bit, and then start asking *them* some questions. Anyone else who joins in also — this is do-able, but it’s going to take a LOT of work.
We’ve ALL got to talk this through! :~)
American Kulak,
I never said *organizing* was ineffective, just protests ! ;~) Otoh, I’m grass-roots-y enough to say let’s us just talk stuff through here, ourselves, and see where we get. Again, there’ll have to be give-and-take — ideological purity may have to take a few hits if we’re going to leash the oligarchs, de-fang the pols and start creating Jobs For People. Did you see Paul Craig Roberts on that the other day? words fail
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/06/06/phantom-jobs-created-wrong-places/
And I LUV your last idea!!!!!!! giggle Not sure about this but you might be old enough to remember and/or newly-liberalized — he he — enough to get a kick out of it; we certainly laughed:

I used Google Translate. SitRep with photos and videos.
But there is a poignant photo of a dead girl child. In the arms of a man, perhaps her father.
She was six years old, dead from a howitzer shell on June 8.
Here’s the link to that jpeg.

It is to be remembered. It will break your heart.
Just one lifeless child, there are many others. On a sunny day, a fair-skinned, blond little girl. Could be one of my daughters, one of yours, but she existed one minute and then life was snatched from this young innocent martyr.
Keep her family in your prayers.
Daniel Rich,
Yes. And also survive — maybe even thrive (wouldn’t that be nice?)
Also, another recommendation for Paul Craig Roberts, who kind of blew my mind when he said that D-Day (which of course I knew didn’t win the war bc Russia already had), was to keep Russia from advancing further west. (Not that they necessarily would have, but I kind of agree that’s the kind of thinking France, the UK and US would have had.)

Dear Saker,
A question for the Novorossiya military expert types: A curious contradiction about chemical weapons in Kramatrosk occured on the Twitter site of Gleb Basov (arguably the top English language Twitter spokesman for Novorossiya). On June 11, Basov posted a link to a translated statement of Strelkov, in which Strelkov said it had been confirmed there were chemical weapons cannisters that had been delived by the Kiev government to the Kramatorsk airport. Then on June 12, Basov posted another link to a Strelkov interview, in which Strelkov maintained he had never said there were chemical weapons at Kramatorsk, that only a few people had permission to publish his reports, and that he cannot imagine how that misinformation got out. He did say that strange containers had been unloaded at, I believe, a nearby train station, but that it was not confirmed that these were chemical weapons. That should be good news!
Whether it was a translation error, or Gleb got ahold of a false report I do not know. Perhaps it was a report from someone else, but seemed to be from Strelkov. It would be nice to have this straightened out.
If you’re not familiar with Gleb Basov’s twitter site, you can find it by Googling “gleb basov”.
Thanks again, Saker, for providing this open information site!!
“ According to a June 10 report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW):
“The ISIS is …. no longer merely a terrorist organization. It is a conventional military force that holds terrain and claims to govern some of it. The Mosul campaign was well planned and required years to set conditions…..The operations allowed it to cut off media from the city, limit the Iraqi Security Forces’ activities there, and gain freedom of movement within it….. (The) ISIS laid the groundwork for the seizure of Mosul, its areas of control on the morning of June 10, 2014 EDT, its assessments of its own attacks, and its aspirations to govern a state in Iraq and Syria.”
The report suggests that the ISIS is not a ragtag amalgam of rabid fanatics, but a highly-motivated and disciplined modern militia with clearly outlined political and territorial objectives. If this is the case, then it is likely that they will not march on Baghdad after all, but will tighten their grip on the predominantly Sunni areas establishing a state within a state. And this is precisely why the Obama administration may choose to stay out of the conflagration altogether, because the goals of the ISIS coincide with a similar US plan to create a “soft partition” that dates back to 2006.
The plan was first proposed by Leslie Gelb, the former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, and then-senator Joe Biden. According to the New York Times the “so-called soft-partition plan ….calls for dividing Iraq into three semi-autonomous regions…There would be a loose Kurdistan, a loose Shiastan and a loose Sunnistan, all under a big, if weak, Iraq umbrella.”
And this is why the US will probably not deploy combat troops to engage the Sunni fighters in Mosul. It’s because the Obama administration’s strategic goals and those of the terrorists are nearly identical. Which should surprise no one”.
What is more is that the so called Gelb-Biden plan is exactly the Oded Yinon plan for the Greater Israel (1982). Remarcable continuity:
“Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other, is guaranteed as a candidate for Israel’s targets. Its dissolution is even more important for us than that of Syria. Iraq is stronger than Syria. In the short run it is Iraqi power which constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. An Iraqi-Iranian war will tear Iraq apart and cause its downfall at home even before it is able to organize a struggle on a wide front against us. Every kind of inter-Arab confrontation will assist us in the short run and will shorten the way to the more important aim of breaking up Iraq into denominations as in Syria and in Lebanon. In Iraq, a division into provinces along ethnic/religious lines as in Syria during Ottoman times is possible. So, three (or more) states will exist around the three major cities: Basra, Baghdad and Mosul, and Shi’ite areas in the south will separate from the Sunni and Kurdish north. It is possible that the present Iranian-Iraqi confrontation will deepen this polarization”.
Probably we’ll see the revival of the Mosul-Haifa pipeline (the Mediterranean pipeline).
Hmmmm. Interesting piece in RT about the location, height and identity of 13 aircraft mysteriously disappearing from radar over Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic for about 15 minutes on two separate occasions. (Didn’t something similar happen over LA maybe a month ago?)
http://rt.com/news/165636-aircraft-disappear-radfars-austria/
Q: Why do I hope it’s Russia instead of us?
R: Because they’re more trustable and likely to have better intentions?
To paraphrase Daniel Rich,
Unfortunately many keep using the word “Nazi” to keep the good US/UK versus the bad Germany myth very much alive.
Why? Firstly the current Russian mentality desperately needs protection against the truth that the satanised Bolshevik violators of the Russian people murdered far more Russian soldiers than the Germans killed in battle.
Secondly the guilt-terrified Talmudist mentality desperately needs protection against the truth that the multiple Bolshevik genocides were the work of Goy-hating beasts—that WW2 was “Jewish.” It wasn’t, it was satanic. And, now, that the “Banderist” Nasties are actually a Goy-hating false flag harnessing ardent memories of resistance to the genocidists. This is why both Moscow and Uncle Samuel both palaver on deafeningly about Ukrainian NastyNazis.
And since most bloggers here and at MoA are terrified by unmentionable fear of Jewish guilt, all we hears of the anti-Reds is that they are Nazis.
It is awfully interesting to observe the almost innocent blindness on both sides of the conflict.
Ukraine Army will use chemical weapons against citizens of Novorossiya in 2 to 3 days. This use will be coordinated with false flag terror attacks in central and west Ukraine with high civilian casualties.
Chemical attacks and terror attacks will be blamed on Novorossiya Army units. Jeffrey Pyatt knows of this plan. Unless someone very high in the command structure of USA stops this operation the operation will take place.
I started wondering if frequent commenter Mohamed and his Shi’a kinfolk are ok. I would imagine the ones in Karbala and other Shi’a shrine centers are well aware of ISIS threats:
https://twitter.com/billmon1/status/477252429646680065
…and who wants a general Shi’a-Sunni bloodbath round 2.0 in Iraq.
As for the comment about Strelkov and CW, I’m not ready to say this was another incident of Kiev info forces faking a Strelkov dispatch to sow confusion. Seems it may have been a genuine error in translation or misunderstanding, since Mr. Bazov has been doing yeoman’s service burning the midnight oil while still working his day job as an attorney in Canada.
One thing is clear: we are seeing, particularly if LNR forces can force the surrender of the last Kiev garrison at Lugansk Airport, the massing of forces for a big clash. Kiev is getting more desperate to ethnically cleanse Slovyiansk and then try to ‘solve’ the Donetsk/Lugansk problems through some sort of combination of siege and bribery to the oligarchs. The regime realizes with the Ukrainian National Guard mutinies and the looming gas cutoff they cannot afford to maintain the forces they have in the field. Plus U.S./NATO assistance will become increasingly obvious and the absence ‘footprints’ will be revealed, including if Polish pilots get shot down on strike missions trying to blunt the pending Bagration anniversary offensive.
American Kulak
bad news: looks like Kiev forces are breaking through closer to Donetsk. They will at least be within artillery range of it soon to try to besiege it like they did to Slovyiansk.
https://twitter.com/BradCabana/status/477281430230167553
good news: Donetsk is a city of a million people. If the porous borders in Lugansk can provide the weapons, Donetsk alone can add 40-50k men to the NAF forces.
Furthermore if Ukrainian forces besiege Donetsk they will be bogged down, both in terms of their activities being obvious to the world in creating a humanitarian catastrophe, and more Ukrainian reinforcements will have to be sent to the region to fight in case of any urban combat — creating an even bigger ‘haul’ should Moscow decide to unleash a pincer movement right up to the Dnieper.
The tempo of the attack in Mariupol, on the negative side, suggests Kiev still fears reinforcement of NAF with arms via the Black Sea from Crimea.
American Kulak
Putin apparently talks with Poroshenko, but the murder is ongoing.

“Europeans taking the fight to the Muzzies.”
Use of the term “muzzies” exposes the user as an Israeli/Ami redneck jailhouse bitch of the most simpleminded sort. Think of the toothless fairies into butt rape depicted in the film “Deliverance”. That’s the mentality. :D

Strelkov said there is info being attributed to him spread around that he had nothing to do with. The explanation is simple: the zionazis have been playing psyops games by posting reports on the internet attributed to Strelkov, and others, which are fabricated rubbish. The site rusvesna.su is a good place to find actual Strelkov reports, not twitter.
One should pay attention to the fact the zionazis were unloading some strange stuff, under special circumstances, that wasn’t normal munitions. That’s what Strelkov was saying.
With the zionazi, and their quislings, one isn’t dealing with a human element. It’s probably a stretch to consider these are even life forms any more. The bum bandits have already used chemical weaponry, they’ve already used phosphorus munitions. Expect the worst from these zionazis and prepare for it.

“For every single German Wehrmacht death, an average of 7,8 Russian soldiers had to die.”
That’s actually not true. See:
BY THE NUMBERS: WORLD-WIDE DEATHS:
http://www.nationalww2museum.org/learn/education/for-students/ww2-history/ww2-by-the-numbers/world-wide-deaths.html
The rate is closer to 2 to 1 of Soviet troops vs German troop casualties. What isn’t shown in the table is that most Soviet POW in Germany were simply killed or let to die in POW camps run as brutally as the nazi concentration camps. Not many Soviet POW survived the war, Allied POW in Japanese hands were treated as royalty in comparison to the way the Germans treated Soviet POWs.
The main loses to the Germans by the Soviet military was in 1941, where vast numbers surrendered to arsefucks only be killed or slowly starved to death afterwards. After that, they mostly gave as good as they got, and in the last year of the war, the Soviets gave considerably better than they got.
The problem is that western “history” of the war on the eastern front is mostly repetition German wartime propaganda. It served the postwar zionazi/nazistan meme of the Soviets being the ultimate postwar evil of the cold war. And many of the fascist oligarchs running the NWO are really no different than the German nazis, the bum bandits created the nazis afterall much like they created any of their other proxies, and supported them during the 1930’s (Hitler and his nazis served the same purpose as Diem, Noreiga, or Saddam Hussein or any other of the many expendable quislings the fascist oligarchy sets up to run their colonies.
There is a US/ KSA origen in the ISIS army (for now one cannot speak about terrorists, rebels or insurgents anymore), but I doubt very much they are still under their control.
Would this be an opportunity for a quick airstrike to take out all Kievs heavy equipment?
Russia will eventually come out the winner, but the novorossians have to suffer so much this way.
Now we look mainly at the civilians killed and maimed, the destruction of the houses, the war crimes.
The other problem is economical: they too will have to pay the higher gas price, they will not be able to export anything anymore, and Kiev will make sure that as much pain from IMF austerity as possible goes to the east.
The population (not just Donetsk en Lugansk) must by now understand that the aim of the junta is nothing less than ethnic cleansing; the West bank/ Gaza model.
This would mean NATO bases and US oil companies at the Russian border eventually after all, so imho defeat of the independent republics is a red line which cannot be crossed.
here is a short which I think is very close to reality of now and the near future in Ukr.
“There’s a dual message there, both implicit: one, the west tried to crush Russia and failed. Two, PoroChocco’s vaunted “pragmatism” might extend to putting Ukraine back in Russia’s orbit if the west doesn’t step up.“
Good Judgment Comes From Experience. Experience Comes From Bad Judgment.
I was interested in a comment which laomel added to Anonymous’s ZeroHedge article above.
He pulls an argument out of the global warming box to challenge NATO’s dreams of a nuclear first-strike. Attacking Russia with nuclear weapons would destroy the planet:
“Russia has a doomsday option available as well. Nuke the ever living shit out of Sibera Yedoma permafrost, releasing all that locked up carbon, and that’s the end of humanity. Nuclear weapons utterly destroy permafrost layers, and that destruction is not limited to the impact zone so there’s something like 500 gigatons of carbon that’s been flash frozen and would be instantly released, and another 900 gigatons of vegetation that would rot and release. That basically turns the Earth into a hellhole which no longer supports human life ever again.
“Who needs to worry about nuking other countries and all the tech and strategy involved, when you can use your own backyard to hold the world hostage? Yellowstone? Sure, that shit can blow too. But at worst you’re looking at a few years of cold weather, less sun, and a world without the US. Russia holds the trump card here.”
Even the dogs in Ukraine have freedom of speech. Here’s one giving his views of Poroschenko.
Is there anyone from the EU here? If yes, what would you guys say about writing to some EU politicians who are quite active and use media to communicate with the people on a regular bases (such as Mary Honeyball? Here’s her website: http://thehoneyballbuzz.com/2014/06/13/diversity-and-inclusiveness-in-the-media/). Is there any point reaching out to them at all?
Also, I like this piece (if you haven’t seen it yet):
http://veragraziadei.wordpress.com/2014/06/10/western-media-and-war-crimes-anyone-here-not-been-raped-and-speaks-english/
On another note, I have a friend from Ukraine and I just went to her FB profile. She posts so much about the situation and she blames everything on Putin/Russia. No word on the US/EU involvement. There’re lots of comments from other ukraineans there too and they’re all the same: they hate Russia and hate to be dependent on the “dictator” because they want their democratic regime. In this kind of situations I always start questioning myself and my beliefs although I have a pretty good understanding and training in geopolitics/economics/and all that stuff. I can’t get it whether it’s me who’s delusional about all this situation or those people who don’t see that it’s all about US/NATO/NWO imperialism.
Regarding aircraft disappearing from radar, there was mention of this happening on May 4 over Ukraine

Interesting turn of events.
” Speaking by instant messaging from Lebanon, a Hezbollah commander, who does not have permission to speak to journalists and asked not to be named, said that for the time being his group would continue to focus on protecting the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad and the Lebanese border from insurgent groups, but that he expected many of the hundreds of Iraqi fighters currently aligned with the regime in Syria to return home to face this new Sunni threat.”
DIVIDE and CONQUER?
Is it a ruse to divide up resources, pro Assad fighting
units?
“It would appear the occupation of Mosul was made easier by the fact a reported 30,000 soldiers fled, leaving behind tanks and firearms as just 800 fighters approached.”
Just like that?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2655977/ISIS-militants-march-Baghdad-trademark-bullet-head-gets-way-control-north.html#ixzz34RwKNEsW
“Despite vastly outnumbering the jihadists, government troops have melted away in the face of the insurgents, allowing them to capture two helicopters, 15 tanks, weapons and several armoured cars that used belonging to the American military. They also seized £350million-worth of dinars by robbing a bank in Mosul.
According to bitter Iraqi footsoldiers, their commanders slipped away in the night rather than mount a defence of the city.

The outrage you are trying to convey is not made more moving by the “fair-skinned, blond” touch.
It is more than a superfluous detail. It turns all the attention to the fact that you consider it important for the purpose of gauging the moral implications. As in: Killing a child is a very bad thing. But killing a fair-skinned blond child is particularly heinous.

Perhaps it caught your attention but I find your remark quite pedantic. The original poster made it quite clear that he was distraught over the loss of an innocent, any innocent. If the father had cried out, “What have they done to my fair-haired little princess” would you have found fault?
Why not instead notice and act on what Larchmonter445 said, “Keep her family in your prayers.”

The Jewish Plan for the Middle East and Beyond
by Gilad Atzmon / June 13th, 2014
Surely, what’s happening now in Iraq and Syria must serve as a final wakeup call that we have been led into a horrific situation in the Middle East by a powerful Lobby driven by the interests of one tribe and one tribe alone.
Back in 1982, Oded Yinon an Israeli journalist formerly attached to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, published a document titled ‘A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties.’ This Israeli commentator suggested that for Israel to maintain its regional superiority, it must fragment its surrounding Arab states into smaller units. The document, later labelled as ‘Yinon Plan’, implied that Arabs and Muslims killing each other in endless sectarian wars was, in effect, Israel’s insurance policy.

Viva Atzmon for clearly defining this latest Iraq horror routinely shrouded by criminal media in Hate establishment code.
.
When I deciphered ISIS/ISIL days ago, I recognised it as a US/UK/Satanist stunt because the touted achievement is return of The Caliphate. This, for 1,400, years produced nothing but desert and by 1800 was deep into terminal crisis because Islam could not match Europe’s industrially supplied military. Sharia Law is code for the power of unrestrained bloody tyranny. Otherwise it is a modern absurdity that we’d never heard of until 9/11.
Sadly, very bright and informed people don’t see that the post-Islamic societies are really modern. Their middle classes can now maintain weapons systems; mullas cannot chop technician’s hands off any longer. Some Mozzies still wear funny clothes merely to preserve their inherited identities as well as try to protect their young from the pornographers who so poison the post-Christian whites.
Also, you know the Iraq atrocity is US/UK/Israeli—I prefer “Talmudist”—when we’re told neighbour hates neighbour because, uniquely, the ancient superior race alone, the one with the divinely cursed blood, inflicts the silent commandment “Hate thy neighbour” which most Jews reject. This factor also reveals that “Kurd” = Israeli. Media conjures Kurdistan, parts of Syria/Turkey/Iraq as a country containing oceans of oil. But Kurdistan does not otherwise exist.
Colonel Cassad has his Livejournal site back operating again. The reason the zionazis froze it was because of his facilitating humanitarian support to Novorossiya. This is part of an organised zionazi campaign to prevent people helping out the victims of their nazi mercs. See:

The zionazi bum bandits are trying to shut down any support for Novorossiya, by any means available.
Apologies if this has already been referenced. In the rapid advance of the ISIS forces in Iraq, many of the messages have been in conflict, understandable as we know from trying to work out what is happening in Ukraine.
I got some basic understanding as to why the advance is so rapid from the following interview:

The occidental observer is one of the zionazi’s less overt propaganda dispensaries supporting white supremacy. They and the pravi sektor queens are a very good “Brokeback Mountain” team.
I don’t know — or care — about the gay part, but the racial stuff is just ignorant, unmitigated nonsense. And the “history” is frankly laughable. I’d rather it be some Zionazi conspiracy site than to think of anyone genuinely being that stupid as to really believe that nonsense!
