Not all Poles are Russo-phobic.
Don’t get me wrong; you seem to be a decent human being.
But, frankly: No-fu**ing-body cares batshit about poland. Or ukratine. Or some micronesian island. Or what they think or want or don’t want.
That’s the problem: If one hears from those countries it’s usually due to the “yorkshire demands ovcharka attention” phenomenon or due to brutal cruelty. Or due to feisty crimes or betrayal.
@Anonymous 15:10
Yeah, sure. And if I tell you that you can buy the san francisco bay bridge for just 2 mio$ you’re gonna start setting money aside, right.
Do you have any idea what an S-300 costs? Do you know that an “old” S-300 system is still FAR superior to anything the uza has? Do you know that Russia still has many S-300 systems in operation?
And you honestly believe that they’ll destroy a couple of those?
You know what? For you I make a really special friendship price for that bridge. Just 1.5 mio us$. But you must be fast or else someone else will buy it!
I have always wondered why Polish apples can be more expensive per kilo in Warsaw shops than imported bananas or tomatoes. After all they do all grow on trees.
Poland got special permission for Ukrainians to come without visas and pick apples each season. I guess a lot of them are now either at war or refugees in Russia (or both). No Ukrainian labour, no apples.
Paul II,
Huh? I may be able to find a lot of humor in things but I’ve never been called an optimist! :~) And I hardly think very many people here would call me the Blog Pollyanna either, so that really doesn’t wash. But I do tend to stick to real facts rather than imaginary worries.
My only serious response to your current set of worries is that Putin’s popularity rating now is 87%. Really, don’t try so hard to find things to worry about; the real stuff is bad enough! ;~)
@Anonymous 15:11
Regarding those S-300s I’m not sure what they mean, just I hope they know what they’re doing. See this article:
http://translate.yandex.net/tr-url/ru-en.ru/russian.rt.com/article/45056
So now Egypt is quickly becoming Russia’s ally. My suspicion is that now Israel can’t afford major attack on Syria as it has another Russia’s ally on its southern border.
To reiterate: I’m not sure, I’m just speculating. Giving or selling S-300 system to potentially unstable country brings political cost and significant risk that it might end up in wrong hands (USofA or Israel if they decide to attack Syria anyway).

Q: How would Putin have the Psheks happily gobble up tea with polonium?
A: He dresses up as a Roman Catholic Cardinal, goes live on TV waving the flag of Gownopolska and says: “Dear Psheks, here I have a huge supply of tea with polonium in reverence of your proud, devout Poland. Come and drink it, my children!“
A couple of things that may be important that seems to have flown beneath the radar so to speak.
Not sure how this may play out but the link that @buack posted at 18:19 seems to put a few pieces to a rather large puzzle in place. Below are a few observations thus far that really seem to look like that “ancient silk road” is being re-developed.
Egypt is working with Russia on the Suez Canal development project and the Sauds have taken the place in funding Egypt in place of the US following the Military coup that ousted the Brotherhood.
Yesterday Egypt refused entry to Soros Human Rights Watch and this was covered by a wide range of outlets, primarily those that were advocating on behalf of the destruction of Palestine and are also supportive of the Kiev Junta’s genocidal actions against the East and Russia.
In addition to the above Erdogan has won a “landslide” election for president in Turkey and that has not been warmly embraced by the same above cabal of MSM and Independent outlets. Especially since he plans to consolidate more power into his new office. Over the past several months it appears as if Turkey has aligned itself on the side of both Russia and Palestine. Keep in mind that while Turkey is a member of NATO, it has not allied itself with Israel form the most part and has been distancing itself dramatically.
(Oddly enough here in Canada, Harper and his (hijacked) party have also consolidated power to the PMO with little to no resistance by the Opposition. In all fairness, since the Harper Regime (fraudulently) acquired majority status they have doubled down on these efforts unimpeded. Any groups that have voiced concern have been put on the PMO’s “hit list” and fall victim to the neocons “either your with us or against us” ideological mantra. It has always been our opinion that Harper was put in power via a bloodless coup d’etat.)
It seems like there may be a lot more at play than meets the eye. Power consolidation is only good as it benefits the ruling party, but also benefits the next in line, especially if they “hold” a majority position.
Keeping in mind that the Sauds have been rather busy in developing more favourable relations with China, could they have ultimately decided it is in their best interest to align closer with the Eurasian players and sever ties with the Atlantic players? They are a participant within the “golden triangle” that has been using gold for quite some time for a lot of trade/etc. outside the sphere of the USD and with Iran as a key player and Constantinople can make or break any empire.
Have the neocons really burned so many bridges that they have instigated the others, including perceived allies, to adopt the ” the enemy of my enemy is my friend” behind the scenes?
Any thoughts?
The US bought an S-300 a few years ago. They know what goes into ’em.

About history of relationship between Russians and Jews(including Zionists), there is no better book that I know off but the one by Alexandr I. Solzhenitsyn – 200 Years Together. (in 2 volums)
The book starts at around 1772 and ends about 1972, when the ban on large scale emigration of Jews from USSR was lifted. Author cites several hundred books, articles and other publications on over 60 pages at the end of the book. And over 75% of cited authors are Jewish, many of them from Israel. Thus author can not be labeled antisemitic, antizionist, biased, etc etc, although many many will try to stick this labels.
Now comes the most interesting fact about this book. It is not available in Ivrit (Hebrew) or English. I read it in Serbian, and I do know that it is translated into German and few other European languages. That Israel, which usually translates just about anything that has to do with Jewish history, censored this book and was successful to pressure English publishers too, indicates, at least to me, that this book is a significant contribution to Jewish as well as Russian/Ukrainian history. In fact , one can get a rare glimpse of the evolution of revolutions in 1917 as well as Stalin years, through the eyes of the participating Jews.
I will not attempt to review book here, nor even argue its main points and assign the blame for what happened, because of space/time constraint. Suffice to say, that anyone interested in Russian Jewish relationships can not go wrong by starting with this book, especially Vol II ( years 1917-1972) which can be read independently of Vol I ( years 1772-1917).

“Any thoughts?”
The Central/Eastern European ‘academics’ and apologists for benevolent EU/NATO/Atlanticist hegemony are freaking out about President Orban of Hungary’s recent speech attacking the hypocrisies of ‘Western democracies’ and suggesting that China, Turkey, India and other rising nations offer a more viable model for the future. This is said to be ‘authoritarianism’ but I’m almost certain Orban’s speech was mistranslated on purpose, as is usually the case when the Empire needs to demonize a political figure stepping out of line. It seems Orban played the game for a long time, and was sincerely anti-Communist and pro-Western during the 1980s and 90s. But like Vaclav Klaus he grew disillusioned with the reign of Brussels bureaucrats and the EU’s true undemocratic, ‘technocrat’ nature as an embryonic one world government.
While I’m not a fan of Jobbik based on what little I hear about them in Western MSM (which could be lies for all I know — every anti-EU Greek Patriot of the Left or Right gets demonized as either Golden Dawn or Communist), the Magyars are waking up and realizing the Russians are their brothers also descended from the great Eurasian steppe. The so-called Hungary experts like this contributor ‘The American Interest’ magazine can only fume at Hungary deliberately tying its energy future to Russia:

They also cite Hillary Clinton claiming there are violations of religious freedom by the Hungarian government, but as usual provide zero evidence for these claims. Perhaps some Scientologists got deported from Hungary? Good.
Decided to do some digging for clues/etc. since there has been some talk about the S-300 deal to Syria that seems to have been nixed and the following nugget appeared. If this article holds some level of truth, maybe Egypt can expect a new shipment of goods. PM indicated to Putin: ‘We’ll destroy your missiles if you deliver them to Assad’
After Netanyahu made clear he would not allow the S-300 anti-aircraft weapons to go into service, the Russian president reportedly suggested Israel buy them instead
By Times of Israel staff May 31, 2013, 5:51 pm
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted during his recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that Israel would destroy Syrian S-300 missiles before they became fully operational, Maariv cited Middle Eastern diplomats saying Friday. The reported threat underlined how firmly Israel has sought to pressure Russia to cancel the deal, apparently with some success.
According to the report, during the meeting between the heads of state earlier this month in the Black Sea city of Sochi, Netanyahu called on Putin to cancel Russia’s transfer of the sophisticated anti-aircraft system to Syrian President Bashar Assad, and indicated that, should the delivery go ahead, Israel would strike the missiles before they became operational.
The report came the same day that American and German officials warned Russia not to send Assad the S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, and as Russian media indicated that Moscow was delaying delivery.
Officials present at the Netanyahu-Putin meeting “were shocked by the audacity Netanyahu displayed before a leader of a global power,” the Israeli paper reported.
Putin reportedly guaranteed that Assad wouldn’t transfer the S-300s to a third party, such as Hezbollah, and that should Israel strike such an arms convoy, Russia didn’t believe Syria would retaliate. Despite this, Netanyahu reportedly made clear that Israel was concerned over the deal in and of itself.
The Russian president was said to respond to Netanyahu saying that the deal had to go through, but hinted that Israel could prevent the transfer if it, or another entity, bought the missiles instead or “offered an alternative,” according to Maariv.
Israeli media had earlier reported that Netanyahu warned Putin of a descent into war should Russia make the delivery. Netanyahu said that if acquired by Assad, the S-300 “is likely to draw us into a response, and could send the region deteriorating into war,” Channel 2 reported two weeks ago, in the immediate aftermath of the meeting.
Russia has not yet delivered advanced S-300 missiles to Syria, despite rather vague Syrian indications to the contrary, two Russian media outlets reported on Friday.
The Russian business daily Vedomosti said that it was unclear whether or not the air-defense systems would be delivered this year, while the daily Kommersant reported that the S-300 missiles would only be delivered in the second quarter of 2014. According to Kommersant, the systems would need another six months of testing and training before they become operational.
The Lebanese newspaper al-Diyar reported Friday that Israel had succeeded in thwarting the missile deal by threatening to start an all-out war should Russia deliver the S-300s to the embattled Bashar Assad regime.
The report also claimed that Putin offered to compensate Assad with the delivery of other “effective and powerful weapons,” including modern aircraft and helicopters, to use against the Syrian rebels. According to al-Diyar, Putin also passed a message to Assad saying that the entry of Hezbollah into the Syrian conflict was not helpful. Hezbollah has a reported 5,000-7,000 gunmen now fighting with Assad’s forces.
(cont’d…)
(…cont’d)
Israeli sources said Thursday that Syria has only paid for one-third of the S-300 contract. They added that, even if the deal is eventually honored, it would take months for the S-300 batteries to be operational.
“It is not clear to me that the Russians are interested in transferring the weapons. Right now, it’s more of a threat,” said Ehud Ya’ari, Channel 2′s veteran, well-connected commentator.
In remarks erroneously attributed to Assad on Thursday, the Syrian president was said to have boasted in a TV interview that his country had received a first S-300 shipment from Russia, and to have asserted that “the rest of the load will arrive soon.” Israeli officials immediately said he was lying and bluffing.
What Assad actually said in the interview, on Hezbollah’s al-Manar television broadcast Thursday night, was that Russia had fulfilled some of its weapons contracts recently, but he was vague on whether this included the advanced air-defense systems. He said all contracts would be honored, and that Netanyahu’s visit to Russia two weeks ago, to plead that the S-300 deliveries not go ahead, would have no effect.
Russia’s declared intention to deliver the sophisticated systems, which can intercept fighter jets and cruise missiles, has created a tense standoff between Israel, Syria, and Russia, with Israel threatening to do “whatever it takes” to prevent the weapons being deployed, and Syria responding that it would retaliate in kind for any Israeli strike.
Aside from the unique strategic capacities that the S-300 air-defense missiles would afford Syria, putting planes taking off from central Israel and its main international airport within the missiles’ range, Jerusalem also fears that the system could fall into the hands of terror groups like Hezbollah.

Funny how “democracy” is robo-like automatically cherished and deeply rooted as a religion-ersatz in about those 80 or so % of the world that has been tainted by the zio masters.
Yet in almost all “democracies” referenda are avoided by all means and democracy *has* to be implemented in the form of “Here you’ve 2 or 5 or 15 parties whose representatives you can pick from – 1 or some days every so many years during which those ‘elected’ representatives of a *party* who during election magically turned into representatives of *you, the people* will do everything they fucking please and most of it without you knowing or having any access”.
I wont’t go deeper into it here and now but we should start to do some heavy re-thinking, investigating, and understanding “democracy”.

Mr. Pragma,
Funny thing about the word “democracy”. I was taught in school that we were not designed to be, nor have we ever been, a democracy. What we are supposed to have is representative governmentl. Show me anything in the Constitution that is truly democratic! The Founding Fathers were scared witless of democracy; they believed it would lead to demagoguery (appeals to the baser instincts of the masses — of whom they were terrified) and tyranny, in that order. The Bill of Rights had to be added not so much to give people some kind of rights, but to get the thing ratified by a sufficient number of states — but the rest of the document basically was how to divvy up power among, let us be blunt, the elites.
The word “democracy” has metastasized everywhere in the past twenty years or so and in its current usage is simply an Orwellian term for Us = DoublePlusGoodYouWantIt. Every time I hear it, I gag, frankly, bc it means we’re up to something nefarious.
Obama says trans-Atlantic trade agreement may be shelved if EU doesn’t hit Russia hard by Sunday(!).
My God, Obama is insane.
Only a few months ago, Obama was threatening to take legal action against European Union countries for floating proposals to build a Europe-centric communications system designed to bypass NSA surveillance.
The U.S. was arguing that such a move would violate international trade law because this would disadvantage US communications companies. And now he is threatening sanctions against America’s biggest trading partner.
This man is a lunatic.
There’s something very weird about Obama. He really isn’t a “people” person and there’s nothing genuine about him; he tends to hang back when there’s a disagreement, not stick his neck out and come down on one side or the other. But then, when people he considers, what, either inferior (the EU) or supposedly on his side (Progressives), do something he doesn’t like, he’ll get all pissy or issue directives. Either that or he’s all drugged out (licit or illicit). But the bottom line is, he really doesn’t give a damn. I didn’t think we could have a worse Prez than Dubya, But. We. Do.
@Mr. Pragma,
First of all, you provide some very valuable insight about many things which are rather informative which is appreciated. BUT, if you noticed the comment related to the Syria/Russia article stated “If this article holds some level of truth, maybe Egypt can expect a new shipment of goods.” maybe you should consider it as such. Have been following Israeli media to determine how the spin factor is being played to “their” own audience for several months regarding Ukraine and many years about other “issues” and oddly enough, they are not pushing the same propaganda as the western MSM is. As a matter of fact, either they are neutral or pro-Russian to a great degree.
Now why would that be?
In any event, you should know that one should “know your enemy” which requires one to analyze their strengths and weaknesses.
The neocons are being used, abused and duped onto a trap and they are so blinded by ideology and greed that they cannot see the forest through the trees.
Sorry if this observation is not worthy of your consideration but it may possibly be worth something to others.
Mr. Schnepf is not Polish. He only happens to work for the comprador organization called “Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.
His father was Maksymilian Schnepf. In 1945, Maksymilian Schnepf was seconded from NKVD to “Polish” Military Intelligence in the rank of colonel. Col. Schnepf is alleged to have participated in so called Augustow round-up (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August%C3%B3w_roundup), a Soviet post-WWII war crime in occupied Poland. Schnepf senior was forced out of power structures in March 1968, to become an activist in Association for Jewish Culture in Poland.
His wife is a publicist working for the regime state TV station. His daughter is Zuzanna Schnepf (http://www.ushmm.org/research/competitive-academic-programs/fellows-and-scholars/all-fellows-and-scholars/zuzanna-schnepf-kolacz-2009), working to rewrite the history of WWII to put blame for Holocaust squarely on Polish shoulders.
It is true that there is a serious pesticide problem with the apples. Beyond this, all this brouhaha with Poland and Ukraine is just a massive simulacrum. As burack described, it is subject to massive disinformation and propaganda from all sides in and outside Poland.
Anonymous 14:47
“know your enemy” is certainly a sound principle. Whether reading izrahell newspapers is useful to that effect may be doubted.
There are many cases known where izrahell media have written or said one thing in their hebrew edition and another quite different thing in their english or international edition. mossad – and generally izrahell politics and agencies – are based on relying on deception, lies, and propaganda.
Why would it be that izrahell is neutral to positive towards Russia?
Because a very major part of them come from there. Because even more have ancestors from that region, back to the khazari. Because Putin knows the satanic game very well, is certainly no less smart than izrahell liars and crooks. Because he has his own (good) reasons to not pro-actively bash on izrahell, because he, no less than you, has understood that knowing the players on the field is necessary, because there are many quite powerful and rich “dual citizens” in Russia (and shall not take their money out of Russia nor their head (maybe because surprise decapitations work better when the target still has a head)).
And many other reasons.
One thing, however, should *not* construed, namely that Putin supports izrahell. Not actively hunting it down (for the time being) is by no means the same as liking (or relying on) them.
Finally, even *if* that S-300 story were true – which I strongly doubt – so what? Would that mean that Russia turns her back on Syria? No. I may mean a lot of things. One example might be that having S-400 on one or (potentially) more *Russian* bases in Syria would do the job perfectly well yet officially Russia wouldn’t have sold S-x00 to Syria …
And btw. with all warm feelings for Syria (honestly): Syria has a quite good army and most of them are loyal to their country. Russia *did* protect their friend Syria from a mighty and overwhelming danger (nato almost attacking Syria) but it’s not Russias duty to fight everyones fights. Syria has all it needs to deal with those terrorists and btw. S-300 are not the factor that makes Syria win or lose against the terrorists.
Finally, what if Russia told izrahell “OK, no S-300 for Syria BUT even your god satan will not be able to save your ass if you ever again dare to attack Syria!”
@Mr. Pragma,
Indeed, we are inagreement on that summary. That is the point that was intended as it also states that Russia would continie providing Syria with “delivery of other “effective and powerful weapons,” including modern aircraft and helicopters”.
The other connection was a potential connecting the dots between the Suez development project between Egypt and Russia. This is where those S300’s may be headed, since so many wanted to jump on the bandwagon that “Putin” has turned his back on Syria which is not the case.
Thanks for your clarification and expanded summary as this is a “long” play by some sides as opposed to the “short” play by the neocon side. Just an odd theory possibly but it would seem as if certain politicos will soon be sacrificed in order to not crash the whole system…
(Not meaning anyone specifically here) it seems there is some kind of “subliminal” misunderstanding tainting manys views on Russia.
Russia was the core of the USSR but it is *not* the USSR. Russia is Russia.
And – unlike USSR – Russia is not into creating alliances *against* anyone. Russia is thinking and acting in terms of her own well-being.
That well-being, like any nations well-being, rests in part on friendly alliances and, if needed, alliances can, if the necessity arises (like right now) sometimes temporarily turn against some party.
The widely quietly assumed (old cold war) habit of building alliances *against* some party is certainly not what drives todays Russia. The alliances Russia establishes today, BRICS and SCO being prominent ones, have been created, targeted at, and are based on a normal, healthy, *constructive* path; They are about economic partnerships, good relations, etc.
Putin has even said it quite frankly (and has been smeared for it): “I’m the president of Russia. My concern is the well-being of the Russian citizens and they are the ones whose opinion is important – not any views of outside politicians or media”.
And that’s what he has done, that’s how he has acted. Russians are *very much* better off today than in 2000. One part (of many parts) of Russias development, quite naturally, has been military; today Russia is – adequately considering Russias global position – in a position to be forced by nobody, to bow to nobody, to stand, if needed at the side of her friends, and, importantly, to be and act as a truly souvereign state (unlike many western countries who are but thinly veiled vassals of uza).
So, that whole idea of wheeling and dealing and selling out one partner for another one is rather weztern and cold war ideology driven and what the world has got used to due to uza dirty games.
Russia can have multiple partners and getting closer to one partner is by no means indicating that another one is sold out.
The last weeks should have made it clear to everyone: Russia is strong enough to fight back hard if needed and to comfortably and self-confidently stand her ground.
Being at that, let me mention that uz-americans would be well advised to be less self centric. Frankly, the importance of obama, mc cain, clinton, etc. is way, way lower than uz-americans think. It’s just amazing how egomaniacally uz-americans, very similar to the Chinese some centuries ago who closely inspected the feces of their emperor, talk about and consider important the brain farts of their so obviously incompetent and brutally increasingly irrelevant leaders.
