You probably did not hear about it, at least in Zone A, but Syrian President Bashar Hafez al-Assad has just won the Syrian Presidential election with over 95% of the vote and a participation of 78% (you can read about it on the webpage of the Syrian information agency SANA here: http://sana.sy/en/).
This is a HUGE defeat for both the USA and, even more so, Israel.
See some photographs of the street celebrations in Syria (see below). God knows this country suffered a true martyrdom and this election is really a watershed for the entire region. I congratulate all our Syrian friends and readers with that superb victory for the Resistance!

This election was such an expression of Joy and Accomplishment, Sacrifice and Loss and a Fealty to the boys and men who fought and died, many suffering horrific deaths of barbarity.
Assad represents the unity of the Syrian society. He doesn’t have all the people, but he has tribal Arabs, some Kurds, Sunnis, Shia, Armenian Catholics, Orthodox and even some Jews. They fought and died for Syria.
Hopefully, the Russians can devise the strategy and tactics to finish this war. Syrians by the millions are desperate to return home. But the US is desperate to keep the economy of Syria crippled, stealing the national oil output and burning the crops, both crimes of enormous impact and seriousness.
In the short term, jubilation for and with the Syrian people. They announced loud and clear their trust and love for Bashar Assad and the Assad family.

As Damascas was in ruins, only the city centre left, I could not believe my eyes when I see him out in the open with his companions at prayers, whilst mortars exploding nr by as he ducked only his head and continued prayers. This Brave president must of refused Irans refuge and safety, he never abandoned his people and prepared himself for Marydom….. how many presidents would chose the same?
Also a becon of light for humanity, the only muselum I know who spent Christian Christmas day with the nuns at there church for Christmas Dinner.

What is a day of celebration, hope and happiness for the Syrian people is a black day for the so called Democracies in the West. Hence the complete silence with regard to the re-election of President Bashar Al Assad. They can only dream of getting first of all so many people to vote and then getting 95% of the votes.

The video that choked me up was of a massive traffic jam with everybody celebrating. In the middle, a girl of perhaps six years dancing on the roof of her mother’s car and waving the national flag. Brought tears of joy to my eyes.
One of the foundations of this celebration is the famous Russian ‘jihad’ in Syria that quickly eliminated 70,000+ ISIS fanatics.
