Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced plans for a second humanitarian convoy to be sent to eastern Ukraine, urging foreign actors and agencies to participate in continuing efforts at relieving the crisis.
Failure to do so would constitute a violation of international law, he warned.
“The second aid convoy must travel this week… We hope for less interference and more cooperation from Ukrainian authorities this time”…
One has to admire the professionalism of the Russian Federation leaders and in particular Mr. Lavrov and Mr. Putin.
What the West calls an “invasion” or breach of national territorial integrity is plain BS: Let’s take note again of the 1986 ICJ ruling:
“Russia [said Saturday] its humanitarian assistance mission to turbulent eastern Ukraine had complied with the International Court of Justice ruling that allowed for the delivery of humanitarian aid to people disregarding their political convictions.
The Red Cross stated it is ready to accompany the second humanitarian Ais Convoy.

having set a precedent on the first aid delivery, let’s see if the Fogh rASSmussen will keep putting foot in mouth. Why does he continue to speak for NATO. His term expired on July 31,2014.
Anyone notice how the western media ignores any statements and or confirmation by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).?

In the Can’t Make This Stuff Up category but, despite Ukie’s failure to pay up the $5.3 bln owed for gas this is very honourable of Gazprom and strategically wise:
“We consider this payment as erroneous and are currently sorting out this issue,” the Naftogaz press office said, adding the company would shortly provide detailed information.
Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said on Thursday that the Russian energy giant had paid an additional $10.54 million for Europe-bound gas transit via Ukraine in July. Gazprom made advance payments to Naftogaz in 2012-2013 to ensure natural gas transit via Ukraine until mid-2014, including a partial payment for July.
(emphasis mine) = = = = =
Ukies can’t claim the transit 2014-2015 fees for gas to EU have not been paid. But given the statement this payment was “erroneous” who knows what disinfo these guys will put out.
re: 2nd aid convoy. I just listened to the whole Lavrov press conference ( what an indefatigable man–he rocks) and he did not mention a second convoy at all. He said that on the contrary he was not going to speculate on this but that Russia was going to be as transparent about any future aid efforts as they had been with the first convoy and that they were willing to work with any government including the Ukrainians or UN humanitarian organizations as were interested in relief of the humanitarian crisis.
Then he abruptly got up and left the news conference putting an end to it. So how did RT come up with this 2nd convoy canard if that is even true?
Re: 2nd convoy hype: Lavrov is a diplomat and with a major conference in Minsk tomorrow he is not going to give the main scream media any material to create distraction and hysteria…he said nothing about a 2nd convoy..not those words..he said aid needed to continue. He is way too crafty and too experienced a diplomat to fall into that trap. It is true that RT did post that but Lavrov did not say that in his press conference and I am at a loss as to why it was reported with the provocative formulation of “2nd convoy”.
Lavrov at 6:40 starts to talk of his ministry’s note to the Ukraine ministry about a 2nd convoy, and by 7:53 he’s spelled it out as going by the same route to the same destination – and it must happen this week.
Said this on another post…Lavrov=Russian catnip to gravitas-starved Americans. The guy is impressive. Miss watching him tie Charlie Rose into gordian-knots.
at 7 minutes into the press conference Lavrov specifically states that they are planning on another convoy and mentions it as a second convoy that he hopes to send this week by means of the same route and using the same customs clearing facilities.

“Back, and not empty-handed. Now he has a special mission. He will coordinate the counter-offensive of the LPR and the DPR militia forces as a military advisor. At this time there is an ongoing joint special operation of the militia forces,” – said a source in Novorossia.
The horrible Strelkov as a target for the Ukrainian punitive troops. The most interesting things is that, among all military leaders of Novorossia, Strelkov was the most hated by the junta. It is not surprising that in the hacked mail of the chief editor of Censor.Net the harassment of Strelkov was set among the highest priority tasks for the junta.
