Better watch out, Vlad. When Western propaganda throws an “-ism” at you, the gloves have come off. Think Marxism, Leninism, Maoism, communism, socialism, extremism and “Islamic” terrorism, for starters. After all, behind the Great Western Firewall, they are all the same thing, right?
A recent cover and main article in the Economist, pictured above, reminded me of just how hyperbolic and ideological is the West’s propaganda against Russian President Vladimir Putin. While maybe good polemical fodder as a cartoon on the editorial page, the fact that this demonic caricature merits front cover status, indicates just how programmed and institutionalized Western mainstream media is. Westerners love to insult the Anti-West press for being “party organs” and “government mouthpieces”. But, why travel so far? They only need to stay home with their national New York Times, Radio France and BBC, to really appreciate Bernaysian psyops being passed off as serious journalism (as in Edward Bernays). I don’t call it living behind the Great Western Firewall for nothing.
I have a friend whose email signature is “Blame it on Putin”. For a while, he changed it to “Blame it on China”. But that didn’t last long and he recently changed it back. As we have seen with the most depressing predictability, President Putin, specifically, and Russia in general are the voodoo pin dolls of Western racism and demonization of another people (Slavs) and other religions (Orthodox Christianity, as well as widespread Islam and Buddhism in Siberia). http://chinarising.puntopress.com/2015/10/01/slavs-and-the-yellow-peril-are-niggers-brutes-and-beasts-in-the-eyes-of-western-empire-the-saker-44-days-radio-sinoland-2015-10-1/
What is so remarkable is how unhinged and psychopathic the West’s racist propaganda is against Putin & Co., compared to the attacks on China’s President Xi Jinping (XJP) and the Chinese people. It transgresses irrational fear, to the point of being sick, black humor. Yet, about the most polemical front cover against XJP was Time magazine in April, 2016, seen below. But, making China’s leader look like a Mao Zedong-Blade Runner replicant is tame and almost quaint, compared to the Orwellian “Emmanuel Goldstein” tsunami being launched nonstop against Putin.
Pretty tame stuff, this, compared to the racist feeding frenzy that Western propaganda is ginning up against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Slavic countrymen.
True, Russia has the longest border with the European Union, and there is tremendous historical Western precedence to keep Germany from forming any kind of economic or geopolitical alliance with Russia. As well, the West’s Ukrainian color revolution turned out to be a total genocidal failure, with Russia reintegrating Crimea and Donbass, biding its time for a hopeful remarriage in the years to come. Needless to say, the revenge factor, and if there is anything that Western tyranny loves more, it’s to avenge its long list of failed chaos and extermination around the world.
But, Russia is officially a capitalist country. Its current constitution was largely written by American fifth columnists. The Russian Central Bank is widely presumed to be under the thumb of the West’s oil banking families. In spite of widespread ignorance around the world, on these two counts, China can definitely list itself in the opposing column. http://chinarising.puntopress.com/2016/10/18/so-called-communist-china-an-exclusive-article-for-the-all-china-review-16-10-17/ . Given America’s post-1917, deranged, hysterical fear of, and untold billions spent to crush any communist expression around the world, you would think that red China and Xi would be Public Enemy Number One. But no, it’s Putin and the Russians.
One factor might be Western perceptions of Russia’s and China’s military strength. Russians have shown off their powerful, well-run army, navy and air force in Syria and the Black Sea. The West is probably in a bit of an historic rut, when looking at China’s rapidly modernizing People’s Liberation Army (PLA), like back to the Korean War, when the just liberated New China had no air force, no navy and no nuclear missiles, yet still kicked the pants off Uncle Sam, using mostly World War I vintage arms. But then again, nobody in the West will ever admit that they lost the Korean War, in the first place. http://chinarising.puntopress.com/2016/09/04/from-may-9th-in-moscow-to-september-3rd-in-beijing-the-anti-west-order-comes-full-circle-reprint/. I can tell you that here in China, just like 1950-1953, XJP and the PLA do not fear American military power, not one iota. Respect it, yes. Fear it, never. President Xi has put the PLA on combat ready war footing and he means it. http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/966932.shtml
But there is a new gadfly in America’s imperial ointment, one who may push President Xi and the Chinese people up the racist hate-o-meter, to Slavic levels, and that menace is the Philippines’ new president, Rodrigo Duterte. http://chinarising.puntopress.com/2016/09/17/puppet-japan-saves-uncle-sams-face-in-south-china-sea-after-philippines-principled-stand-vs-imperialism-jeff-j-brown-on-press-tv/ . This plainspoken, no bullshit world leader is Uncle Sam’s worst nightmare. He is calling American empire what it is: genocidal, dictatorial and rapacious. Not once, but day after day, meeting after meeting, press conference after press conference.
At September 8-9, 2016’s ASEAN summit in Laos, Duterte showed a colonial era photo and talked about the genocide that the US committed, as it brutally conquered the Philippines, 1899-1913, killing an estimated 1.25 million people, about 25% of the nation’s population. Western media censored it like the plague and even semi-friendly outlets like the South China Morning Post were aghast that he actually associated the West with genocide. Heaven forbid! This, in spite of the fact the easily 80-90% of the history’s genocides and exterminations were and are being perpetrated by Eurangloland, including of course Israel. Behind the Great Western Firewall, genocide is exclusively reserved for powerless, dark skinned people and unrepentant socialists, like Serbia’s framed and destroyed Slobodan Milosevic.
Speaking truth to imperial power, Duterte gives a blunt lesson on Western genocide, during the recent ASEAN summit in Laos. How dare you tell it like it is! (Image by Baidu.com)
Duterte is a semi-official socialist-populist. His cabinet is inclusive and consultative, with former imprisoned and exiled political opposition leaders, including communists and Muslims. He clearly can’t stand America’s grotesque, imperial arrogance and tyranny, in a country that has been a pliant doormat for US mayhem and exploitation in Asia, going back to the turn of the 19th-20th century. When Duterte’s hometown of Davao was hit with a very suspicious, false flag smelling public market bombing, on September 2, 2016, he suggested that the automatic-to-blame Abu Sayyef Group, a Muslim independence outfit on his island of Mindanao, is controlled by US Special Forces based there, which is of course true. But, world leaders aren’t supposed to speak truth to power, especially “little brown brothers”, as Filipino Foreign Minister Perfecto Yasay has described America’s attitude to his long suffering and abused nation. http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2016/09/17/1624575/dfa-chief-philippines-no-little-brown-brother-us
After signing with XJP more than three times as many development deals ($15 billion), as the US has totally invested to date in the Philippines ($4.7 billion), Duterte declared to the world that the “US has lost” and that his country was realigning with Baba Beijing. His official government/trade delegation had an unprecedented 300 members and another 150 business people paid their own way to join the Asian lovefest. The two sides set up bilateral committees to discuss and negotiate their South China Sea claims, which is anathema to Uncle Sam, who always insists on being the rabid Rottweiler in the middle. Next stop was US prostitute Japan, where he further declared that the Philippines would be free of all foreign military (meaning US marines and special forces), something that has not happened since 1521, when Spain began colonizing and raping the archipelago.
This is all very powerful, history changing geopolitics. Almost every other world leader who has talked and acted like this, has either been overthrown and/or murdered by the West, sooner than later. Clearly, from the perspective of the West, Duterte’s visionary, regional reset is closely tied to President Xi and China. It is for this reason that XJP may be getting the Slavic-Putin treatment on an accelerated schedule, in a desperate attempt to trash China’s deep, historical leadership and trust role in Asia.
The old story about people being able to see that the emperor is not wearing any clothes, is very apropos to Duterte. He is shouting out to the world that Western empire is a colossal failure and humiliation for his impoverished, exploited citizens, and by extension, equally so for every other member of humanity outside Eurangloland. http://chinarising.puntopress.com/2016/07/16/communist-china-vs-capitalist-philippines-vs-imperial-france-china-rising-radio-sinoland-160716/. Once one person pierces the veil, it emboldens others to finally have the courage to pile on.
For Uncle Sam, it’s already happening. Malaysian Prime Minster Najib Razak is visiting XJP and Co. in Beijing, October 31-November 6, 2016, an unusually long state visit by a world leader. Najib has declared that Malaysia is committed to strengthening friendship with China and pushing ties to “new highs”. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-malaysia-china-idUSKCN12R0ZU. As more and more countries embrace China’s history founding One Belt One Road plan, in which the whole world is and will benefit into the 22nd century, including Eurangloland, expect ever more desperate, racist demonization and dehumanization of Xi Jinping and the Chinese people, along the lines of Putin and the Russians. Maybe the CIA-MI6 can dig up that old 19th century chestnut, “The Yellow Peril”, and give it a modern day makeover. Stay tuned to the New York Times, Radio France and the BBC, as the propaganda psyops campaign takes shape.
As more and more world leaders are emboldened to speak out against Western tyranny, thanks to Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte’s courage to make a public stand, President Xi Jinping can expect his face to morph into Putin’s, who is demonically pictured above on a January, 2014 Newsweek cover.

“True, Russia has the longest border with the European Union…”
What a strange thing to say! Given that Ukraine and Belarus aren’t members of the EU, Russia’s border with the EU is about 250 km in length – that being the combined borders with Latvia and Estonia.
Moreover, what other country even has a border with the EU? Switzerland, which is surrounded by it… Turkey’s short borders with Bulgaria and Greece…
Your are right, Tom. What I meant was “Europe” as we know it. I corrected this in the crosslinked version. Thanks for the sharp eye! Jeff in Shenzhen.
Euhh … Russia is part of Europe actually and so is itself part of Europe’s border.
You’re forgetting another 232 km border between Kaliningrad Oblast and Poland, are you not?
Yes, also Finland, and Ukraine is even an EU (CIA/MI6 = Nazi) colony.
There is also the Norway-Russia border, and the Finland -Russia border. As well as Kaliningrad’s border with Poland and Lithuania. Taken all together it probably is the longest or almost so.
Norway and Finland share border with Russia in the artic region
You can get a horrifying crash course in the US conquest of the Philippines by searching the Web for “US cartoons Filipinos”. It’s well worth zooming in on some of them to read the captions. Here’s one of the non-stomach-churning ones:
http://japanfocus.org/data/brewerprop2.jpg
A good insider examination of this period (when the cartoons were made):
https://archive.org/details/triumphantpluto00pettrich
Triumphant Plutocracy by Richard F Pettigrew. He was the first Congressman from South Dakota. In this book, he does not pull any punches.
The U.S. was carrying parasites from the beginning. England continually mounted economic attacks. Remember, the Bank of England only came into being in 1694, so the founding fathers had little time to fully understand private debt spreading. And yes, BOE was brought into being behind attacks mounted from Amsterdamn, then under control by our (((friends))). This is the beginning of AngloZionism still plaguing the world. Zionism, before it had a name, attached itself to sea powers in Holland and England, using debt means as part of its method. While in Holland its means were primarily stock market capital, and their schemes ended up hosting the population of that time. See Tulip mania as a manifestation of that period.
Lincoln was both good and bad. His bad was to allow concentration of power in Washington and disable state federalism as a bulwark against concentration. The careful balancing act the founders created was partly undone.
By 1870, the U.S. was already turning toward Plutocracy, and hence the attacks on Philippines.
By 1913 finance had consummated its takeover with Woodrow Wilson’s progressive era. Federalism as a method is now completely destroyed at this point in history. And yes, the story of this takeover has our (((friends))) as a main actor.
There was still plenty to do in the U.S. prior to Spanish American War. For example, Pettigrew wanted to put dams along Mississippi river to prevent flooding. But NO, finance and oligarchy wanted to turn outward toward war. You can feel Pettigrew’s frustration and disgust.
Here is an audio version of the book,

Basically the West has nothing left in its arsenal except demonization and outright falsification. VVP & XJP are cautious only because they understand that currently those in charge of governing the United Satates are working, not with an IQ, but with a QI, that is Questionable Intelligence. Therefore handling mentally unstable armed children must be conducted cautiously. It would be more proper and precise to refer to those in charge as genocidal sociopathic, amoral degenerates, but only those who diligently study history would understand that the definition is not an exaggeration but apropos. Unfortunately the truth is so overwhelming that the psycological overload would fry the normal thought process.
Yes, psychotic monkeys with a hand grenade.
Don’t think XJP and the Chinese will be demonised like Putin. As would-be President Hillary Clinton once asked the Australian PM: “How do you put pressure on your banker”? How indeed.
A now more pertinent question: How do you demonise your biggest customer? No one can afford to demonise his customer/benefactor/investor, especially his biggest and soon to be biggest by far. The Chinese economy is already 15-20% bigger than the US economy in actual output terms (PPP). And this may be conservative as China usually understates its GDP in order not to provoke the insecurity of the US regarding its status as Numero Uno in everything. In 5 years’ time, the Chinese economy is likely to be twice as big as the US economy in PPP terms.
Not only this. While the average growth rate of the Chinese economy is 6.7%, the growth of its consumer market for goods and services is much higher – nearer 8% per year or more. The Chinese consumer market has taken off and heading towards explosive growth of 10% or more within the next few years, especially once China went past the phase of rebalancing its economy. This means an explosive growth in the imports of consumer goods and services into China i.e. by the trillions USD. The US elites are heading to China. The growth of their wealth in the US economy is limited and risky. In the Chinese economy? They can’t see the limit yet. And Zuckerberg’s Chinese wife set a new standard for elitism.
That begs the initial question: How do you demonise your biggest customer and soon to be by far your biggest customer? Answer: No you don’t stupid.
Wouldn’t that be the other way around. Its the US that is one of China’s biggest customers (maybe the biggest). They sell much more to the US than they import from the US.
I looked up the balance of trade figures some time ago and China is pulling 20 to 30 billion per month from the US. That is 20 to 30 billion US trade deficit per month with China.
I would guess the big US importers are also political sponsors which would help keep up the outflow of money from US to China. A weak point of the empire is greed of the few. China plays this well.
What do the Chinese do with the outflow of money, “dollar bills”, received in payment for goods? The choices are quite limited. Mainly it comes down to exchanging those dollar bills for dollar denominated bonds. U.S. Treasury Bills. In spite of the recent Chinese sell off of T-bills, the Chinese continue to hold very large quantities of them.
What China actually buys with our US dollars is gold. I believe the plan is to peg the Yuan to a gold standard to decimate what’s left of the petrodollar. There’s a sweet irony in turning our own money against us so we can finance the demise of our aborted empire..
Yeah, the USD can still buy quite a lot of things globally. However, I don’t think China or anyone in their right mind wants to see the demise of the US or its aborted empire. Its just its policies that are destabilising the world. Putin is demonised because he is seen as an existential threat to the West. China was careful to project its military power as being reasonable for its defence – something the West understands..so far. On the other hand, Putin showed that he can blow up the West at the push of his nuclear buttons.
China was careful to project its military power as being reasonable for its defence – something the West understands..so far.
Wrong. There’s major tension brewing in the South China Sea for exactly the opposite reason. The US and its allies don’t think China is being reasonable in extending its military reach into those seas.
I’m not sure that China is being unreasonable by moving to establishing a military presence in the South China Sea, or even by claiming the region as its own. Maybe, maybe not. But I’m certain that China’s doing this to protect itself against overweening American military might. China’s trying to establish a buffer zone against us. But irregardless, this move is being invalidated and challenged by the US.
The US, as world hegemon, is presently impinging the traditional security zones of Russia and China. This is reckless policy by Washington DC. It is pushing the Russians and Chinese toward a strategic alliance of necessity.
“I looked up the balance of trade figures some time ago and China is pulling 20 to 30 billion per month from the US.”
Could it be anything to do with their slave labout at $3;hour.
Please block ip…please…please…
USD 3 per hour buys a lot more in China than the US. Cost of living in China is low in comparison.
Hi Simon. Mirror just state his usually view of China. Nothing surprising.
Yeah, obviously those who poo poohed USD 3 per hour in China did not do the maths. That was why I posted earlier that the US should research and manufacture its planes and ships, in fact all its weapons, in China. China can do it at 20% of the cost in the USA. IPR and protection of military secrets of course can be arranged. In fact the US can also hire well-trained decommissioned Chinese troops (300,000 available) at a fraction of the cost in the US. Just injecting some humour in this rather humourless blog.
@Simon Chowe
“Yeah, obviously those who poo poohed USD 3 per hour in China did not do the maths.”
Good grief, i’m villified for suggesting a US slave is the same as a Chines one e.g.

“The comparison between a so-called US slave and a real Chinese slave is sick! It is dismissive of the atrocious conditions of the hand to mouth Chinese factory worker.”
and now you effectively say the $15USD min wage is equal to a $3 income in China.
That’s fine – but it no longer matters where the stuff is made as Foxconn just fired 60,000 manual workers in China to be replaced by robots.
You’ve missed the point, both sets of slaves are no longer needed
Yeah, I think you are right. However, I lump US with the rest of the ‘West’ when refering to China as the biggest and soon to be by far the biggest customer. Thanks for the clarification.
How do you demonise your biggest customer? This premise is not entirely correct. Trade is not really an arm up americas back. After all, the US has fire-bombed the emerging markets as well as many traders back home with rate hikes even though these are against the US’s own short term interests. To explain this example, US dollar rate hikes take are nothing other than a deliberate nuclear bomb in world currency markets specifically to re-inforce the dollar and inflict damage, Even if it hurts back home it helps sustain dollar hegemony more so. Likewise, the US has clearly colluded with Saudi in the oil markets to attempt to crush Russia, as it did before in the 1980’s, even though it destroyed its domestic shale/fracking industries.
In short, if it benefited Washington / Israel hegemony they would rip up China trade tomorrow.
The real reason is that China’s 3 trillion reserves in US denominated paper is too much for the US to absorb without causing hyperinflation back home and end the dollar. That is why the US leaves China alone.

Clinton’s Presidency ‘to Resort to Outright Destabilization’ in Asia Pacific
https://sputniknews.com/politics/201610291046853817-clinton-election-pivot-asia-destabilization/
Will Clinton toughen US policy toward Beijing if elected?
“Most definitely!” Mathew Maavak, a doctoral researcher in Risk Foresight at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and regular contributor to CCTV, stressed in an interview with Sputnik.
“The Asia Pacific remains a high growth region with the notable exception of Japan and Singapore whose economies are actually contracting,” he remarked.
“Curiously, Asia Pacific nations allied to the US are contracting faster than non-aligned states. South Korea’s economy is slowing down while Taiwan’s economic survival will depend on China,” Maavak pointed out.
“The ‘Pivot to Asia’ should be understood within this backdrop. One by one, Asia Pacific nations are seeing no economic value in being allied to the United States, and they are opting out of the US geo-economic and geopolitical orbits. The Philippines — once penciled as a military anchor of the US pivot — has peremptorily aligned itself with China despite the lingering maritime disputes between them,” the researcher explained.”
The US will very likely end up destabilising itself. Just wait and see.
The EU think tank ECFR admits failures of Western policy against Russia. This explains why NATO wages a hysterical propaganda war against Russia.
“the world has not taken the West’s side.
…
Going after Russia, the world’s 9th largest economy, may represent the kind of overreach in economic coercion that the Iraq war demonstrated in the military arena. Expect some acceleration of efforts by an “alliance of the threatened” to develop circumvention options (bank and payment systems, reserve currencies) to insulate themselves from the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. This will have implications for the Middle East and far beyond.
…
7 Asian countries are competing to woo Putin. As tensions increase in Asia, many countries in the region are trying to strengthen their strategic relationships with external powers – and despite its actions in Ukraine, even Western allies in Asia have continued to woo Putin’s Russia. For example, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has opened up to Russia because he is seeking a territorial settlement over the four islands that both Tokyo and Beijing claim, and wants to keep Russia from joining China’s side. Similarly, South Korea is engaging to get Moscow’s cooperation with North Korea. By comparison, Europeans do not have in Asia the leverage that would allow them to enlist Asian countries’ full cooperation on issues such as Crimea and Ukraine.
8 Asia hates western intervention even more than self-determination.Given that many Asian countries worry about their own secessionist regions, you would think that they would oppose Russia’s annexation of Crimea. But the Ukraine crisis illustrates how they worry even more about Western intervention.”

‘Give it a rest’: Social media mocks Senator claiming Russia may be behind new Clinton FBI probe
https://www.rt.com/usa/364674-clinton-fbi-russia-probe/
“In a CNN interview, US Democratic Senator Tim Ryan alleged Russia may be behind the new leak, causing the probe.
“So the question is: Where did these come from? How did they get to the FBI? Is Russia involved in this? We don’t have a clue where this stuff is coming from,” Ryan said.
A Greater Country @agreatercountry
This wins brain-dead of the day. Dem Congressman thinks Russia helping FBI on Weiner email scandal.”
Yesterday people I work with and I joked about comey being an agent of Putin when the story broke. There is nothing lower than the zionazi tool. Ryan’s oft used bum belongs entirely to aipac.
This war against Russia is an israeli/zionazi war on Russia.
Given what the Anglo-Zionist paranoiacs of the Evil Empire of the West believe, they might as well just submit right away to Putin and the Duma. Clearly, the US, they believe, is already de facto Russian territory. Just a teeny step will make it de jure as well.
But I am not sure Russia wants that failed state, any more than it now wants the former, The Ukraine.
your response reminded me of a remark by SIGMUND FREUD about his lecture visit to the USA decades ago — when he reported to his friends in europe:
“i came to america meeting a generation of neurotic paranoids…people everywhere rushing to and fro grabbing at anything they could lay their hands on….
“i left america seeing a generation of Violent Lunatics:
“america is gigantic, yes; but an accident and a mistake, nonetheless..
”a gigantic mistake”.
“is it not strange that we in europe have allowed ourselves to become so materially dependent on a country that is nothing more than people who are wealthy savages?”
“As more and more countries embrace China’s history founding One Belt One Road plan /…/ expect ever more desperate, racist demonization and dehumanization of Xi Jinping and the Chinese people, along the lines of Putin and the Russians”
Exactly. The clinical insanity, imbecility, and depravity of all things West — deliberately exacerbated by neoliberalism — has made Euroangloland rotten ripe by destroying the latter’s industrial and fiscal basis, leaving a totally parasitic Western fabric of society dependent on other peoples’ natural resources and labour output for its mere survival. In this light, Russia, China, and their growing number of allies definitely pose a mortal threat to the world’s Exceptional and Indispensable parasites. Corporate presstitutes had better take notice; their despicable careers are at risk as Western imperialism disintegrates.
Its interesting that that Newsweek Magazine cover was from January 2014. The Ukrainian coup wasn’t until late “February” 2014.And the Crimean re-union until March 2014. People in the West are told that it was those events of “Russian Aggression” which was why Western relations with Russia went sour. But now we clearly can see the West’s attack and demonization of Russia (as the Russians have said all along) had nothing to do with Ukraine. But had been plotted long before.
Already in 2009 the EU think tank ISS announced the current war against Russia:
“Towards the AMS, a capability to support hard power politics, both for Clausewitzian influence and possible direct military confrontation.
…
Hard power politics – Clausewitzian influence over alienated state regimes. Some alien-
ated regimes will still exist in 2020 – the key uncertainty here being the Kremlin. If so, we will need to retain a capability to meet their deliberate challenges to our vision of the world. This will require hard military power, but also an increased focus on asymmetrical forms of destruction, notably in the cybersphere. This is of major concern to the East-
ern members of the EU, and if the ESDP is unable to provide this then they will turn to NATO or directly to the US.”
http://www.iss.europa.eu/uploads/media/What_ambitions_for_European_defence_in_2020.pdf
Also in 2009 German military circles debated NATO’s continued eastward expansion and the break-up of Ukraine:
“As a former advisor in the Amt für Studien und Übungen (Bureau for Research and Training) of the German Bundeswehr writes, the question of expanding the western war alliance to the territory of the Ukraine is still on the table. If this step is taken, “probably only the western Ukraine” will join NATO. The “eastern Ukraine” would “in this case, become independent or a de facto nation like Abkhazia.” The author, a lieutenant colonel of the reserves, presented his ideas in a military magazine, embedding them in a retrospective on the entire past twenty years of NATO’s eastward expansion. According to the author, a “cordon sanitaire” separating this war alliance from Russia, conceded by the allies of World War II to the Soviet Union, has, for the most part, been absorbed into NATO, essentially crossing every “red line” drawn by Moscow.”

Our first objective is to prevent the re-emergence of a new rival, either on the territory of the former Soviet Union or elsewhere, that poses a threat on the order of that posed formerly by the Soviet Union. This is a dominant consideration underlying the new regional defense strategy and requires that we endeavor to prevent any hostile power from dominating a region whose resources would, under consolidated control, be sufficient to generate global power.

The Jews are the ones leading the demonisation campaign against Putin and Russia in the “Western” media. They hate Russia much more than China because Russia is (mostly) a European-descended Christian country which refuses to be brought under total Jewish control. They view European-descended peoples of Christian heritage as their biggest enemy. Also Putin’s crackdown on the Jewish oligarchs theft of Russia’s resources directly affected them, whereas China is less relevant for them. The Economist, which is shown in this article, is owned by the Rothschild family. Mikhail Khodorkovsky was their agent in Russia, as shown when he was arrested and all of his shares in the Yukos oil company were transferred to Jacob Rothschild under a “previously unknown arrangement”. In order to buy shares in these Russian state-owned companies during the 1990s you had to be a Russian citizen. Rothschild and other Jewish billionaires in the West got around this by using Russian Jews as front-men. These front-men then split the profits between themselves and their foreign Jewish financial backers. This was how the Jewish oligarchs were able to take over so much of Russia’s economy during the 90s. They had access to massive amounts of foreign money which nobody else in Russia had.
Sometimes the front-men got greedy and turned against their foreign financiers. This happened with Oleg Deripaska and his backers – the Monaco-resident, British citizens – the Reuben brothers. They are the Wealthiest “British” family. They made their money through the Russian aluminium industry and international property speculation. They sued him after he cut them off from the profits of the aluminium company he owned. In a British court, they admitted that they were the real owners of the company and that they financed Deripaska’s takeover in exchange for being given a share of the profits. This was kept secret at the time and was illegal under Russian law. The British court ruled in their favour. The other agents acting as the Reuben brothers enforcers were the the Chernoy brothers. They are “Russian” brothers who are now Israeli citizens and live in Tel-Aviv. They are heavily linked to mafia groups in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. They were involved in massive criminal activity including organising the murder of business rivals as well as a local police chief who was investigating them for a previous murder. They hired thugs to do their dirty work at local boxing clubs. They also sued Deripaska after he turned on them and handed over evidence of their criminal activity to Russian authorities.
This is the real story of how the “Russian” Jewish oligarchs took control over Russia’s economy. In reality they were just front-men for “Western” Jewish billionaires who illegally provided the financing allowing them to take over Russia’s state-owned companies. This is how the international Jewish finance network operates. You’ll notice that many of these people change country and nationality like other people change their clothes. The only loyalty Jews have is to their fellow Jews from all over the world. Judaism is essentially a global organised criminal network which steals money from the “goyim” while collecting it all together into their central power structure headquartered in Israel.
“While the Zionists try to make the rest of the World believe that the national consciousness of the Jew finds its satisfaction in the creation of a Palestinian state, the Jews again slyly dupe the dumb Goyim. It doesn’t even enter their heads to build up a Jewish state in Palestine for the purpose of living there; all they want is a central organisation for their international world swindle, endowed with its own sovereign rights and removed from the intervention of other states: a haven for convicted scoundrels and a university for budding crooks.
It is a sign of their rising confidence and sense of security that at a time when one section is still playing the German, French-man, or Englishman, the other with open effrontery comes out as the Jewish race.”
You don’t have to agree with everything he said or did, but Adolf Hitler was right about the Jewish problem. What they did and are doing to Russia in the 90s and 2000s are the same things they did to Germany in the 1920s and 30s.
I disagree with the conclusions in much of your post (certainly the last paragraph). But I “do” agree with your writings on what happened in Russia. Its your attempts to tar Jews as people that I have problems with. It’s far too close to the anti-Jewish propaganda the nazis excelled at that I dislike. The World is not a “black and white” World, its very gray. And there are good and bad among all peoples.Singling out a whole people as all criminals is just wrong on all levels.
I understand why you say that. I used to feel the same way. I’m not saying that every single person of Jewish ancestry is evil. Everyone has free will in their lives and the ability to choose between right and wrong. There are good and bad people in every ethnic group. The problem with Jews ultimately is their religion. It teaches that they are “God’s Chosen People” and that everyone else on Earth are sub-humans who only exist to serve them. This is the reason you see so many Jews engaged in financially exploitative behaviour – because they believe that all of the “gentiles” wealth really belongs to them and that “gentiles” only exist to serve them and be their slaves. The Chief Rabbi of Israel literally said this during a sermon in 2010: http://www.timesofisrael.com/5-of-ovadia-yosefs-most-controversial-quotations/
That Rabbi had the largest funeral in Israel’s history when he died with over a quarter of the country’s entire population attending it and leaders all across the political spectrum honouring him as the greatest expert on Judaism in modern history.
This also explains why Israel (and the Jewish Bolshevik leaders) have treated others so cruelly. Their entire religion and culture is based on hatred for all other people. Every Jewish religious holiday celebrates the genocide of another people. This is true for Purim (the Persians), Passover (the Egyptians), and Hanukah (the Greeks). Judaism is the oldest and most extreme racially-supremacist ideology in the world. The racial theories of National Socialism in many ways were like a watered-down version of Judaism’s teachings, as Germans felt they had to adopt a strong racial identity in order to compete with Jews during the corrupt (and Jewish-dominated) Weimar Republic. This is why Israel’s actions today are very similar to Germany’s during WW2.
Anyone who doubts what I’m saying, I suggest to look up for yourself what Judaism teaches about non-Jews and you’ll soon start to understand why they act the way they do in every country they go to. A small town in Guatemala became the latest in 2014 to expel it’s Jewish population after constant accusations they were causing “ill will” among the local native population.
http://www.timesofisrael.com/is-a-small-guatemalan-town-expelling-its-jews/
The hatred against Russia is racial and genetic.
Here is a link to Stratfor. Read it carefully and not that the actors are NeoCon’s, the descendants of Jews from former Pale of Settlement, and Poland:
STRATFOR Chief Reveals Zio-Anglo-American Plot For World Domination

The immigration cutoff in the U.S around 1926 was because this immigrant group tried to Bolsheveize the U.S. Former East European Jewish lineal descendants became today’s American neocons.
So, why is it racial? The former Khazar’s lost their steepe lands to the Russ – who were Vikings. The Russ came in ships that had wheels, and said ships could be pulled across short swaths of land, and jump from river to river. This is why many Russians are blonde/blue eyed – it is their Viking ancestors.
Haibaru donkey tribes in middle east ran the caravan routes. These Semitic peoples were not of the main city states. Shunning and ejection from city states was the main method of punishment in those days, so these defective types, including psychopaths, would take up with the traveling Haibaru (hebrews).
These people also inter-bred with Neanderthals after fourth ice age water filled in black sea, hence the large genetic component, upwards of 30% dna admixture. Both Khazars in the Caucasus regions, and Semites have this admixture through two different patterns about 1000 years apart. This is one reason why Judaism was accepted amongst Khazars, as there was a genetic and racial commonality with Haibarus.
Both Semite religions carry duplicitous concepts at their core, like Kol -Niedre and Taqiyya.

So, while there may be many good- hearted and moral people within Talmudic Judaism, and Islam – the religions themselves are “bad wetware” or put another way, bad programming for humanity.
You’re absolutely right about Judaism/talmudism, besides, they were also the ones behind the trans-Atlantic slave trade/exploitation, banking their loot, and becoming the Bank of Amsterdamn, BOE, BIS, and so forth.
But you obviously still fall for the BIGGEST Jewish lie/false flag of all, the Hitler Project . . . http://whale.to/c/inside_the_gestapo.html . . . They (and psychopaths also) typically present themselves as the exact opposite of what they are, in order to fool people. Germany was taken over, occupied by the US/UK/France (i.e. Jews) in 1918, think about it, there’s no way German patriots could’ve organized in the first place, only a monstrous AngloZionist fraud could, with massive support from the occupiers (OSS/MI6). It’s like saying ISIS is right, or Bin Laden did 9/11, or the ‘moon landings’ & Santa Claus are real. (it’s the biggest lie, but it’s the biggest taboo also)
I did a post on the Jews and gentiles a while ago that should help explain some of the questions raised. I was concerned with the anti-semitism in one of the articles. But unfortunately, it was not allowed to be posted (maybe it was since, but I did not have time to check).
Thanks Uncle Bob. Who are two of the most vocal critics of US policy to Russia? Professor Steven Cohen and Dr. Jill Stein. Green Party presidential candidate. The problem is that Judaism has, like Islam, been hijacked by a sect of powerful crazies.
Many prominent Jews in the US, Albert Einstein among them decried Zionist fascists taking over control of the narrative. Unfortunately, most Jews I know have fallen for the propaganda, as have most Westerners. To that extent, the Rothschilds, Goldman Sachses, Haim Sabans, and the Jewish oligarchs bear a big responsibility.
It is ironic that some of the most vocal opponents of capitalism and the bankers have been the Rosa Luxemborgs, Emma Goldmanns, etc.
There is a history of mutual antagonism in the USA between Jews and Christians.
“No Dogs or Jews allowed” was a sign seen. Likewise, among themselves, Jews disparage “Goyim”.
Gilad Atzmon is right. Identity politics especially of the Jewish variety can be very toxic.
We are all one human family, and need to learn to get along, or there won’t be a planet left to live on.
@They view European-descended peoples of Christian heritage as their biggest enemy.
This is the sufficient reason why the anti-Russian campaigns are so vicious, so full of venom. It is an ancestral hatred, a religious duty, cultivated for centuries. It goes well beyond the hatred of the ‘dispossessed’ Rotschilds+oligarchs. It is a religious war against Russia which is the heir of the worst enemies of the Jews: Christianity and the Roman Empire (Christianized). That went on long, long before any ‘nazi’ propaganda.
IMHO, the problem is not religion, but Russia’s old way of expansionism. People has long memories. Taking back of Crimea reignited that fear. Invasion, expansion does not pay, even after 100s year.
You would feel much better if you stop so avidly swallowing the BS of ‘Russian expansionism’. Stop reading the insanities genre ‘Economist’ or all the crap peddled by the Western MSM. You will be able to see things more clearly.
I do not read economist. I read normal people’s comments and history. I also read the bios of Russian Tsars. as a Chinese, we know how we lost Siberia. When I was a teen ager, the youngest boy forced into black dragon river by Russian troops died in his 80s. We know how Russia expands and cleanse the land to make them 90% Russian.
Some times, facts are very inconvenient. Religion may be play a part, but people remembers the war they fought, the land they lost, the people they lost fighting those unprovoked war.
No reason to white washing the past and blame everyone else for consequences.
The boy was 6 year old, and survived, many others died.
As the boy survived, so the Russians and Chinese mended their relations, like they did many times in the past. Anyhow, Siberia never belonged to China. Russians were conquering the Mongol Khanates in a movement of repelling the former invaders.
J is essentially correct to my mind. Russia under the Tsars was a bully. So was the USSR. Militarily, Russia was quite weak as exposed by the Japanese in the war of 1904-5. Russia was able to expand eastward at a time when the nations there were weak and China under the Qing in the 19th Century was in decline. However it remains to be seen whether a shrinking population of 143 million Russians spread wafer-thin over 6.6 million square miles of land can bring enough economic development to it. If not, be prepared for the break-up of the Russian Federation.
Simon, you are unaware of the facts.
The vast majority of the RF is indigenous Russian land, occupied by Russians. Non-Russian people are simply too few — and their native land too small in scope — to effect any Soviet style break-up of the RF.
As for the Russo-Japanese War, it was tightly contested. For the most part it was stalemated on land, and the Russians inflicted more casualties on the Japanese than vice verse. Japan was just as exhausted as Russia at the end of hostilities. Russia lost the war because it didn’t take adequate measures beforehand to concentrate its military power in Asia, and because of the revolution.
Keep in mind that merely 36 years later, the Japanese attacked the US and UK in the Pacific, winning many titanic victories before ultimately losing WW2. It’s hardly remarkable that Japan — because of unusual circumstances — bested Russia in war in 1904-05.
P.S. — you are not really Chinese, are you? The tone of your posts makes you sound much like the West Ukrainians (and their diaspora relatives) who post on Russia issues up and down the Internet.
GW, as I replied to Uncle Bob1 in Pepe’s recent article, economics and geography triumph over blood ties and cultural similiarities, even religious similiarities. I gave several important historical and recent examples. If Putin failed to develop the RF, there will rapidly come a time when those who remain ed in the Urals and east of the Urals may say “To hell with the Muscovites! We want out and we want to chart our own future”! To even develop 6.6 million square miles of the RF with a shrinking population of not-too-hardworking 143 million is already a very long shot! Much less being involved with war after war (Ukraine, Syria). The Russian women may have already silently asked: “Why should we so painfully bear sons, bring them up to be the joy of our lives, only for them to be returned to us as cargo 200”?
Yeah, both the Japanese and the Russians may have been exhausted (depending on who is more exhausted and ability to quickly resupply), but Russian casualties on land were higher than the Japanese. If the war continued, the Japanese would have pushed the Russians right out of the Russian Far East (Outer Manchuria for Chinese like J) and acquired the whole of Sakhalin). But the West (Anglo-Zionist to you but with a kernel of truth) which financed the Japanese in the war, pulled the plug on them and forced them to settle for less than the whole cake.
And me? My ancestors are Chinese. I was educated in the West and met Jesus Christ through moderate Calvinistic Christianity. The real bible believing, God-fearing Christians in the West impressed me with their love, humilty and faith. I am used to Western non-Christian racism but have yet to get used to Russian hubris, as you can detect from my posts in Pepe’s article.
but Russian casualties on land were higher than the Japanese. If the war continued, the Japanese would have pushed the Russians right out of the Russian Far East (Outer Manchuria for Chinese like J) and acquired the whole of Sakhalin).
I am very well read on the subject of the Russo-Japanese War. My assertions are based on hard data derived from reading. I get the feeling that your perceptions on this subject are based on assumptions. Am I wrong? Please advise if so.
According to Rotem Kowner, who wrote the A to Z of the Russo-Japanese War, Japan’s total KIA and WIA were much higher than Russia’s. See page 502 of the book.
https://books.google.com/books?isbn=081087007X
Most other sources cite casualty ratios similar to Kowner. Your claim would be correct only if POWs are considered.
Be aware also that the war on land concluded as a stalemate. After the Battle of Mukden — a heavy but indecisive Japanese victory — both armies were deadlocked in northern Manchuria. At that point, for the first time in the war, the Russians had finally achieved a significant numerical advantage, concentrating nearly half a million troops against Japan’s 350,000.
Also, at the war’s end, for the first time Japan was relying on third rate, poorly trained reserve troops. Japan’s finest soldiers had been lost earlier in the war. That’s why, in the war’s closing months, the Russians were actually taking large numbers of Japanese prisoners for the first time.
If Japan could have taken Vladivostok and the Amur region, then it would have done so. But the Japanese were fully exhausted by a year and a half of heavy fighting. Japan needed peace just as badly as Russia did.
I apologize for assuming that you were an Ukie.
As for the Japanese in WW2? They were already booged down for 5 ruinous and exhausting years in the quagmire in China before they attacked Pearl Harbour in December 1941. At least one of their hands was tied (2 million troops and complement air corps were tied down in a protracted war in China). They were down to a few weeks’ of fuel supplies due to the American oil embargo before their war machine grinds to a halt. They were forced to strike Pearl harbour (to prevent the US Navy from intervening with their strike south to oil and resource rich South East Asia and Burma) and fight the USA with one hand.
Their being bogged down in China by the stubborn Chinese also mean that they cannot strike north into Russia. That helped Stalin to believe intelligence reports that the Japanese won’t strike Russia from the East and that he can pull Zukov and his experienced battle-hardened (by earlier fights with the Japanese in Mongolia Khalkhin Gol) armoured corps for the defence of Moscow and the Mucovites. In short, because the the Japanese were bogged down in China, both the Japanese and Germans were forced to fight unwinnable two-front wars.
And to make my point more cogent, even our wives may think of running away of we consistently fail to bring home the bread and butter as is our responsibilty. If Putin fails to develop RF’s economy but continue to bring home the sons of Russian mothers as cargo 200 from wars in Chechnya, Ukraine and now Syria (yes there were Russian ground froces casualties in Syria), then Putin would have failed Russia no matter what the propaganda says…and the areas of the Urals and east of the Urals may want to ‘run away’.
The Russo-Japanese war resumed in 1939 with less than a Japanese victory at Khalkhin Gol and ended effectively in 1945!
Yeah, but Japan being tied down in a quagmire in China and facing a potential US oil embargo, was in no position to really fight Russia in strength.
Siberia belong to Qing of china. So was Mongolia. Mongolia is still part of China on KMT’ map. Mao let Mongolia independent because of Stalin, not because Mongolia was physically independent at the time.
By the way, Baikal has been in Chinese historic books for more than 2000 years, Russian has no business in Siberia or Mongolian heart land. Mongolian in China for over 800 year with their own language intact. 70 years as Russian colony, she lost here own writing language. What a nice job russian did.
It is well know Russian turn to china two years ago after Crimea. And Russian love to brag about how brutal they can be treading others. It was still in comments here not long ago. Not something civilized people do…
To have “lost” Siberia ,you would have had to “have” it in the first place. And China never had Siberia. The Mongolian/Turkic (and others) are not ethnically related to the Chinese.Even during the Chinese Empire they never controlled Siberia. Even the far Eastern territories across the Amur were Chinese in name only.Very few Chinese were settled there.Officially it was only available to the Manchu to settle there, and few did.The Mongols for over a thousand years fought the Chinese over “Mongolia” and neighboring territories. They were only under “Chinese” control when China was ruled by Mongol or Manchu dynasties.Today instead of wanting to “conquer” Siberia. China has problems with some of her own minorities wanting to break away from China.Even when the Mongols were at their heights of power few settled in Siberia. Instead they were interested in moving South to a better climate with richer regions. Hence their conquest of China.Even in the 1600’s when China wasn’t “powerless” they signed treaties with Russia that acknowledged Siberia as “Russian”.They knew it wasn’t Chines, even then. There may be a few “ultra-nationalist Chinese (I assume such as yourself) that seek to “take over” Siberia. But the Chinese leadership know that won’t happen. And know they gain far more with a strong friendly Russia as their ally than as an enemy. And the Russian leadership realizes the same about China.
Where have I heard it before, the land was empty, no one wanted it, so it was not invasion, they just walked over and picked it up.
You may have heard that from the Chinese talking about Mongolia or Manchuria. Its said by every Empire when they expand into outer territories. So don’t go “holier than thou” on me. Your people did the exact same thing. There is no use trying to deny it.
Sure we were and still are. Chinese empires had special way of secure peace by making head of northern (or other region) tribes thier son in laws. War were fought as last resort to defend borders. Chinese people would not stand a war mongering government for long.
I guess that would depend on your thinking of “for long”. I suggest you read any number of history books on that area and period. One of the best and most detailed that covers it is “Empire of the steppes:A history of Central Asia” by by René Grousset, Naomi Walford (Translator). Which was written before WWII.So had no Cold War bias.
https://books.google.com/books/about/The_Empire_of_the_Steppes.html?id=CHzGvqRbV_IC
Uncle Bob 1. The Chinese did not invade Mongolia and Manchuria. They invaded China, ruled over China and willing integrated themselves into Chinese civilisation. Outer Mongolia became independent because of Stalin’s manoevering. Mao gave it up because China’s needs Soviet weaponry for the Korean War. So China had fully paid the USSR for its help in the Korean War from which Russia also benefitted from the expulsion of US forces back to South Korea.
Please don’t insult my intelligence with foolish comments like that. You must think you are talking to a Westerner that never read Chinese history before. It is true that the Mongols and Manchus invaded and took over China at various times. But China also invaded those areas at other times. The attacks of one against the other was never a “one way street”.
But China did not invade the Mongols and the Manchus to take over their lands. Punitive expeditions maybe for their cross border raids ala Vietnam 1979, but not to conquer or take over their lands. The Qing did commit genocide against Dzunkars because of their rebellion though, but not to conquer their lands. The land they lived in was already considered part of China. Please check our ‘Chinese’ history.
Those lands “may” have been considered a part of China by the Chinese. But were not considered that way by the inhabitants of those lands. They were conquered by the Chinese and included in China. The real “Chinese” lands were plainly mapped centuries ago.The additions, just as in other countries ,were gained by conquest. I would suggest you study more history than Chinese nationalist propaganda.I don’t condemn China for doing what all other great nations have done in the past. But neither do I try to hide the fact they did.History is history, and should not be “twisted” to serve a nationalist agenda.
No,I don’t read ‘Chinese nationalist propaganda’. My sources were varied and I try to glean the facts fromthe spin. China did not conquer other nation’s land but lived within what she considered her own. If other people dispute like in the South China Sea or Xinjiang or Tibet, there are historical records like treaties to fall back on. So it’s no use to justify the unjustness of what our own country had committed by attributing the same to others.
Uncle Bob 1. The Mongols ala Genghis Khan began as small tribes which settled in Outer Mongolia in around 750 AD or thereabouts. Please check your history.
That was only a small period in the history of China’s interaction with what the Chinese considered as “Barbarian tribes”.Their wars stretched from the beginnings of China’s history as a united state.Expand your mind from only nationalist readings to unbiased writing to understand true history. Before you become no more than those you always condemn.
My sources includes also western. And I am no means a nationalist. Just trying to be fair to all.
If Siberia is China, why build the Great Wall?
The Mongols took China, not the other way around.
And as the Mongols also took Russia, the Russians have every right to Siberia, if they can hold it.
Great wall was built over 2200 years ago. Mongols left Russia long before Russia “found” the “empty” Siberia. And Mongolia ruled china less than 100 year more than 800 year ago, they became Chinese in the process.
Well I am sure you can convince Chinese with your version of history.
In fact, I am reading recently, Iranians are very fond of Russian version of history too. In fact, every one of Russian neighbors loves the special Russian edition of history from what I am reading.
What about the Vladisvostok region ? Many chinese poeple think this region historically belonged to China, and feel like it should come back to China.
Siberia belong to Qing of china
Only Siberia’s southernmost regions were claimed by the Qing dynasty. Here’s a map.
http://www.allempires.com/article/index.php?q=The_Qing_Empire
I am not well read on Chinese history, but I do know a lot about Russian history. It’s a fact that the vast majority of Russian Siberia was uninhabited territory before being annexed by the tsars in the 1500s.
Russia’s expansion into Siberia was little different than the US’s expansion into the American West in the 1800s.
J, I agree with you. But it is also time to move on. I am a Christian and my God says “vengeance is mine, I will repay” (Romans 12:19). I would urge all Chinese to leave behind the past and move on, only don’t repeat the mistakes of the past.
Simon, I was attracted to this blog at time of Crimea. I was more than move on at the time and followed quite some russians as well.
My attitude changed when I started reading how much Putin and patriotic Russians love their Tsars and log for Tsar time. They also talk about how nice the Tsars treated the occupied people giving the leader title of grand duke. How many wars they win in 300 years: 31.5 out of 34. How they worried about relationship with china, and china would back stab them while in fact russian has been taking advantage of qing’s decline and back stabbing china for over 200 years.and talk about war break out between china and Russia, and Russian can occupy china which imho a easy to make Russia disappear in yhe face of earth.
Most of these talks you can stil l find on archive of this blog.
So now, IMHO, until the day russian face it’s past in a factual manner, Chinese should have their eyes open.
Denial of past means repeat of same in future!
J,
There are no friends in geopolitics, only interests. While your friction points are valid, we are dealing with a much greater evil these days. Once we defeat the Empire, we can worry about the Little Satans
Earthrise, That I agree. I just have no patient with whiners. Face the past, face the consequences, and stop blaming others.
J, you need to remember that we Chinese have the principles of ‘Tao’ to guide them. So their policies are not always based on self-interests as the West and even Russia want to teach the rest of the world. Policies solely based on self-interests, even national self-interests, are recipes for disasters.
J, if China want to back-stab Putin and get back its outer Manchuria and ‘Siberia’ now is the time to cut Russia down to size. But China won’t do that, not because it can’t but because of its moral grounding on which its traditional foreign policies are based. China and the US are not in any existential crisis despite all the noises – which are really to smoke-screen the real cooperation going on, the nuances of which failed many observers which is exactly the purpose.
Exactly, had China not able to let go of losses, and ponding chest on every gain, we’d be a nation of bipolar.
We value cooperation not confrontation.
The war only fought to defend not to invade。
China does not wish to confront any one, nor china is scared by anyone.
Cheers J,
I just don’t think the Han have any ‘racial’ claim to the vast North, which was always Mongolian. Now if we are talking geopolitics, this is a different issue. Moscow cannot imagine keeping this area long-term; the population pressure in China will require a release valve. Looking at each civilisation’s sphere of influence I think Eastern Siberia will be Chinese one day. The Ruskies will want to hold onto some strategic depth east of the Urals, and will fight to hold the Pacific coast as long as possible for trade and access. But they took this land due to an historical anomaly, one that is closing fast. Siberia one day will have to be shared.
But to argue that the Chinese have any more historical ‘right’ than the Russians is false, both can tell their own internally-consistent story. In the end the only story that matter is what you can take and hold. This is not only a story about military power, but about the histori-cultural meme that deals with all the injustices suffered. Otherwise the long moral arc of history will catch up with you one day (think Versailles).
There is no gain without justice.
Earthrise, very good well balanced points. But I can understand the Chinese views. They see their rights not only because of the accession of the Mongols and Manchus to the Chinese state and their absorption into the same, but also that the states which occupied Siberia and Outer Manchuria as tributary states. They pay tributes to the Chinese Emperor. The Chinese see that this gives them more rights than the Russians who invaded and conquered those states. One can argue though that those rights were extiguished by the Treaty of Nerchinsk in 1689. Even if not, they were certainy surrendered when Xi confirmed that China has given up those lands ‘forever’.
But from my view, it is unlikely that the Russians can fully digest the 6.6 million square miles of land with a shrinking population of 143 million, with the depopulation accelerated by the never-ending wars. They will need to allow massive immigration like what the USA is even now doing. But then the US is a very liberal and free society. Not Russia now. I was hoping the influence of Russian Orthodoxy will make Russian society more liberal and free. But not after Putin’s recent strictures on freedom of religion. Maybe later, Russia can remake itself to attract more immigrants.
Friend, there is no BS of Russian expansionism. Just facts as pointed out by J. I hope not all Russians are in denial about this.
There is no ‘denial’, but going over it. What is objectionable is the insistence on evoking past disagreements (besides magnifying them beyond the factual reality) at a time when the Sino-Russian relations are at their best, just in order to envenom them unnecessarily (in actual fact fanning the Western wishes of sabotaging the rapprochement).
The only saving grace is that Putin smart enough to be nice to china at the time of his need. Otherwise, there is much similarity between Russian view of its history and Japanese right ringer view of WWII. they both distort the past, and has no remorse.
You seems will never get it. West does not need to fan anything if Russian continuing to white wash the past, and blame others for your deed.
If you are in denial or not is not something thing you tell us, the rest world will make their own judgement by your behavior. So far I do not like what I see up close.
Russian friends, in J’s comments are some of the reasons why the west demonised Putin and Russia. I love Russians and know that Almighty God’s mercy will help them to change. This applies to all the nations. I hope one of my grandsons will marry a beautiful Russian blue-eyed blond when he grows up, so that I will have descendents with Russia blood.
Yeah J, we should move on. Sticking ‘it’ in too much will backfire.
There are a lot of facts in J’s comments. The Chinese have been around in civilised form for a long long time. They look at their relationships with those regions like ‘Siberia’ over a far longer period than Russia. You can’t simply dismiss their views off-hand because those historical facts can come back and bite. But Prez Xi had already told Putin that those lands like Outer Manchuria were let go ‘forever’. So its time to move on.
But it will be interesting to see whether Russia, with a shrinking not-too-hardworking population of 143 million, can digest the 6.6 million square miles of land that it invaded, robbed, steal, kill and genocided for itself or whether it will break up trying/not trying. Just look at the maps of the nations, especially Europe. Those boundaries do not stay still. So it is too soon for hubris!
So, in the end,you seem to relish the idea that Russia will be sometimes in the future ‘cut to size’ as punishment for its ‘invasion, robbery, genocide, killings… (can you find more wrongdoings? oh, yes, hubris!). So much for a “Christian” approach towards Christian brothers!
WizOz. No I don’t relish any country cut down to size. The Chinese experienced being cut down to size and would not wish it on anyone. But hubris is an existential danger to anyone. I want Russia to prosper. I enjoy Russian music and culture. But in the presence of so much hubris, I want to do a small part to help Russians from inflicting an own goal on itself. That’s why I pointed out Russia’s weakness from my prospectives. The hubristic USSR had Satan 1 Mirvs when it disintegrate. Would Satan 2 save the RF if it commits the same mistakes? I doubt it. Take what I’ve posted as from a concerned friend and a Christian brother.
That is how life is and it has nothing to do with religon. Why do you think there is universal good in peace, and respect? Why do you think russias feel the world seems gang up on them? If you done bad dead, the consequences will come, it may not be yesterday, or today, no one has to cut you in size, you are doing good job trying to cover your ends already. No need to shame Simon for stating the obvious. But only Russian deny the past. The denial in Japan only in right wingers, but in Russia, it is universal.
I really carious on what Russian teching their kids in history lessons…I have met no one able to face the past without glorification. One can not be helped if you can not face the fact. Why do you even need help since you are so right and might, and everyone else is wrong?
WizOz, J’s objection is that Russia did not squarey face the past and is still, as I put it, full of hubris. Chinese like J living in China still feel the pain of the massacre e.g. the killing of all by pushing them into the Amur river in 1903 or thereabouts. Russian hubris over their gains is like Abe’s militarists vsiting the Yasukuni Shrine. So a bit of sensivity is called for. I can be more objective because my ancestors left China long ago.

From the Guardian: “By 2000, the shift in Russia’s business environment resulted in the (Reuben) brothers selling all their Russian assets.”
What shift in Russia’s “business environment” happened around the year 2000? Could this have anything to do with the demonisation of Vladimir Putin in the Jewish-dominated “Western” media? The Jews accuse him of being a corrupt mafia boss. As always, they project their own qualities onto their opponents. The real reason they hate him is precisely because he isn’t a corrupt politician like Boris Yeltsin, Hillary Clinton etc. and he shut down the Jewish-run “Russian” mafia. To add insult to injury he’s now also opposing their endless genocidal wars in the Middle East to create “Greater Israel” from the Nile to the Euphrates. Doesn’t he know they are God’s “Chosen” People and are destined to rule over all of us inferior “goyim”? Who does this upstart think he is?
Frankly, I think it has a lot to do with good old fashioned jealousy. Xi is a very ordinary appearing man, obviously clever and working well for China, but in himself bland.
Along with all the other issues America and UK have about Russia as a country [and have had for hundreds of years never forget] here comes the man who takes away their victory just as they were confident it was going to last forever and Russia and her wealth was theirs for the taking; but more, he is charming, good looking, makes people laugh, gets people to like him [I’ve never seen a leader in formal situations with other world leaders so much back slapped, shoulder rubbed, hugged, patted and generally touched with affection as does V.V.]. He is obviously clever, has a lovely speaking voice, looks great in his well cut suits, does judo, rides horses – I mean, he outdoes them in every respect, not only as leader but as a man.
And this almost always draws simply out and out jealousy from men who feel inadequate against him. All they can do is try to “demonise” literally. It’s no accident that the pictures they make up tend to make him “look” horrific.
Jealousy again.
Hard-hitting, highly perceptive comment — thanks, Isabella.
Just got one additional point to make in this regard: Western so-called “popular culture” is totally addicted to the core fascist obsessions of militarism, supernatural invincibility, cruelty, and utter contempt of life itself. So it’s quite understandable that whenever humble, yet very able, people prove — in no uncertain terms — the West’s deluded self-worship to be utter amoral mental garbage that the West’s propagandistic sector has a problem. One can easily imagine how every single little Western Zionazi, not least the presstitutes, would forever be eulogising Putin were he a (equally successful) Fascist Monster in the service of The Tribe: A Nobel Peace Prize and a limitless, non-stop flattery about his private life and manliness.
In short: Fascists, at least of the zio-faggot persuasion, don’t approve of adversaries gifted with strength, intelligence, courage, and manliness. Successful ones even less.
Thank you Nussimen – I agree with your _if the shoe was on the other foot – perspective too.
There’s no doubt about it Xi is doing a grand job in China, the average labour rate is $3/hour. I’m sure they all just love him.
And here is a proud Western Leftist piece highlighting that very same inferiority complex:
“Defeat for West backed forces in Syria is welcome, but Putin’s crude apeing of the Western ‘war on terror’ in general is part of the problem“.
One really is tempted to ask oneself what is the most characteristic trait of this entire nonsensical psycho-babble: Its stunning, rank stupidity as far as knowledge and judgement are concerned, or its sheer impertinence accompanied by supreme immorality.
The above quote was taken from here
And how proud would you be (or rather, could you be) on $3/hour?
There are hundreds of millions of Chinese who don’t give a damn about Syria (or Leftist/Rightist/Middle…ist) as they go about their daily struggle to – survive.
You can’t expect too much from this kind of rag.
The West, has never gotten over the fact that they did not manage to destroy Russia in 1917 (to 1940), then again in 1942-45, then again in 1989 (The Yeltsin years).
They are both irritated and afraid. And President Putin has told them: “No more wars on Russian soil, partners.”
They have two choices now, as always, starting with the Redcoats, on through the Indians and even to the Black Slaves… tough it out, or surrender.
They are ‘toughing it out.”
“Toughing it out” is from Kipling’s ‘The Man Who Would be King’. And that takes us right back to the Ur-cause of it all – The Great Game. The Anglo obsession with global hegemony.
Everything old is new again or, to put it less barbarically, ‘ c’est plus ca change, plus le meme chose.’
There is no joy in murdering someone who you are not certain is even afraid of death. In fact, China, is ever ‘inscrutable’ to the Anglo-Zionist mind.
Russians, on the other hand, are very killable and the Anglo-Zionist mind, and its receptors, derive great pleasure in killing them. They have been doing it since 1917. Their pleasure receptors now have a ‘taste’ for Russian blood. As long as that blood seems available, Chinese blood flies below their olfactory radar.
I work with a couple of Philippino women in a medical environment and what they say about the new president is that he seriously cleaned up his mayorial city – he was the mayor of a big very corrupted city – the whole of the Philippines is very corrupted – and that is well known to all Philippinos abroad –
The road to Beijing runs through Moscow. The empire intends to eliminate both Russia and China but needs to do it one by one. The current strategy is to encourage a break between Russia and China by shutting China out of the global resource market, especially in Africa, and dangling Siberia in front of them as the only alternative for resources. Russia and China then destroy each other, and the empire wins.
Of course, when the empire attacked Russia through the Donbass, China saw what was happaning and knew they would be next so they aligned with Russia, delivering the empire the greatest strategic setback of all time. Together they have a huge population/industrial/resource base, and most importantly, control the strategic heartland of the Eurasian continent.
Look at any map showing the bases of the Empire and its clear that the strategy has been to contain the Heartland by controlling the sea lanes. When China builds its silk road, the sea lanes become irrelevant and the true pivot of power shifts from the coast to the centre of the heartland. The empire maintains a toehold here, at enormous expense, in Afghanistan, but that is, as always, a losing proposition.
The only option available to the empire now is to cause another schism between Russia and China. To do this they need to keep the door to China open, and that is why the propaganda against China is relatively mild. Still, the empire really does not have much to offer the Chinese. As an ancient civilization, they know how to control their near abroad. Look what just happened in the Philippines. Huge defeat for the empire. Huge.
The pivot to Asia and the demonization of Russia and TPP/TIPP were supposed to address this by isolating China and Russia from their natural trading partners and putting America at the centre of trade, but this seems to have failed. Again, the empire had nothing substantial to offer other than the enrichment of local oligarchies (as usual), and the unrest you see in Europe is a rejection of this model.
It should be noted that the silk road not only makes the sealanes and navy irrelevant, it also shifts America to the periphery. It becomes an island way across the ocean.
Obama has failed, and the empire is over. But it might choose to go down in flames and take us all with it.
The ‘Silk Road’ existed from time immemorial, so to speak. Archeologists would not be able to explain otherwise the extraordinary similitudes between the Eneolithic Chinese cultures of painted ceramics (Yang Shao) and the Eneolithic cultures of painted ceramics of Cucuteni-Tripolye in Eastern Europe (Romania and Ukraine). The underlying unity of Eurasia reasserted itself after all temporary interruptions. The whole space of Eurasia can be trodden on foot!
I agree with most of what you said, my one problem is the idea that the empire is trying to lure china away from russia. If they were really doing that, they would not have installed the thaad system in south korea. I don’t think imperial think tanks have woken up to the reality of the russia china alliance.
Japan is still pretty much of an American lap dog, but just now on a prime time Sunday evening popular TV show featuring popular idols in Japan, they mentioned in passing that the hackers who revealed Hillary Clinton’s e-mails were probably American UFO theorists looking for proof of a cover-up. Every day I see signs that Japan is preparing its people for a discreet move away from the American sphere. They no longer pass on the anti-Russian hysteria. A few weeks ago a morning news program declared there was heavy media bias in America against Trump and admitted he was saying a lot of things that made sense. There was prime-time honest reporting about the war in Syria a few weeks ago. It is just a bit here and there, but it marks a big change from the past. I have been living in Japan for more than 30 years.
Previously, an anti-American media faction existed here but was relegated to the wee hours of the morning, with carefully documented reporting several months after the fact. (It was they, presenting a documentary on building demolition in 2002, who without mentioning the World Trade Center made it clear that, in fact, that was what the world had witnessed.)
Gojira (Godzilla) 2016 is required viewing for every Japanese.
America played its hand too strong. Japan is back in the Pacific.
Ummm, no Japan is not and perhaps never will ‘back’ in the Pacific, save as a NATO pawn.
In the movie Godzilla (2014), Japan after the MUTO attack was said to be under NATO control, not Japanese SDF. The Hollywood colonization of Japan is complete; they’ve borged the Godzilla franchise and removed from it all indigenous meaning right down to ad placement. You could have swapped out Japan for the Philippines and the movie would have been little different; just pretend the U.S. built a nuclear plant in the Philippines.
They even found a ‘plausible’ reason to cut Akira Takarada’s cameo. Sounds reasonable if you don’t look for the propaganda in art.

Japan could emerge as an independent cultural-commerical-financial power with global reach, and from there establish a middle-power Pacific military presence, but only if it ditched the American yoke. The lack of significant strategic natural resources means Japan could never be a conventional military power while its geographically small size rules out being a nuclear power.
Japan Inc.’s ascendance in the 1980’s (1986-1991) was quickly brought short in the concurrent and infamous asset price bubble collapse of 1992 and they’ve never recovered. There may be parallels with China’s 2015 stock market crash thought engineered by Western financiers; unlike Japan, Chinese banking was then-independent of Western/U.S. financial gangsterisms such as the IMF and could survive.

Russia and China don’t seem to mind genuinely independent neighbors and even supportive of them where such independence serves their interests (witness apparent Russian forgiveness of Turkey over the SU-24 shootdown), but the U.S. seems to have a policy against independent ‘allies’ and definitely holds and follows through on grudges.
In my humble opinion, Russia is rightly seen as the greater threat to our empire. We *might* be able to defeat China but Russia will kick our ass. Heck, when the pentagon is able to formulate actual thoughts, it’s usually along the lines of “maybe it’s a bad idea to attack Russia.” Our own simulations of a war with Russia don’t show us winning. Of course, our thinking doesn’t seem to take into account the human cost of such a war let alone the fact that, if such a war happens, we’ll be fighting both China and Russia and have about zero chances of “winning” … so we’ll just push the button.
I’m much more afraid of the sociopaths in Washington than Russia or China.
… Well, Russia is the ultimate prize, not China, and its not wise to fight fight a war on two fronts.
China would be seen more as a means to the end of subjugating Russia; polarizing China permanently against the West serves no purpose.
So, dissing on XJP harder than China’s anticipated-to-be-malleable alliance with Russia warrants, makes no sense in the short or long term.
Refighting Cold War I, it was China’s opening to the West in 1972 that began the end of a united Eurasian Communist block. However, its was the Soviet Union’s perceived rejection of Chinese input (Mao thought he was peer to Stalin and inheritor of communist world leadership after the former’s passing) that resulted in the Sino-Soviet split.

Its possible that the current Russian and Chinese leaderships are a little more polished and mature than the past and not dependent solely on two personalities. A Eurasian breakup won’t be easily accomplished. In the meantime, China will be routinely reminded the West does not approve of its friendship with Russia till it become critical for China to choose.
The reason that Putin is being demonised is, in my opinion, because Ptuin is PUTTING ORDER IN… Putin wants to restore to mankind better life on Earth if you will – where the Western World led by the USA for the moment is and has been destroying life, that is peoples and lands, for hundreds of years.. EU even longer – and then here come someone who puts his foot down and says “NO MORE”…
The pressing question that nobody has the honesty to ask is this: How the hell does America get off demonizing *any* nation or its leadership?
Americans have no moral legitimacy vilifying anybody–except themselves.
The United States of America is an empire that never fails to run its mouth, pimping itself as the Land of the Free, Beacon of Liberty, Leader of the Free World, and Force for Good, etc.
–even as it routinely wages wars of aggression, sponsors and supports jihadist terrorism, stages regime change ops, and economically exploits the world through its virulent brand of market capitalism and Dollar Imperialism.
The death toll of people that America has killed must number in the tens of millions of people by now … and counting.
In short, America is the *true* Evil Empire–as it has always been since 1776.
If there is any nation and government that deserves to be demonized it is the United States of America…. And that will be true regardless of which US sociopath is in the White House–Clinton or Trump.
