Russia was never a party to the Minsk agreements, it was a “guarantor” as was the OSCE. So 2 points on that 1. the only actual signing parties to it, Ukraine and DNR/LPR had the true responsibility of upholding the agreements. Kiev failed its obligation. 2. OSCE also being a ‘guarantor’ of the agreements, did literally nothing in their role as guarantor, never lifted a single finger in calling out the daily atrocities and murders that were happening right under their nose, as they were of course instructed by their CIA puppet masters to turn a blind eye to the genocide happening, and used a variety of excuses to never examine the Ukrop strikes, assassinations, etc occurring daily, always publishing them as ambiguous “such and such attack happened, from unknown source”. So the blame lays on the OSCE as well for the collapse of the Minsk II agreements.
It is clear that 404 will be demilitarized the easy way or the hard way. The hardship for LDNR and the Ukraine is far from over. Surely the west will run out of sanctions.
Maybe they will run out of sanctions, but not threats, lies or propaganda which both Washington and its media puppets are now raging on about. In fact, look for them to double down endlessly on the military provocations they have planned–more bases in Poland and the Baltics, more missile launchers, more nuclear warheads. These are not sane people. They don’t merely want the upper hand, they want to annihilate their chosen enemies…and steal their stuff, like gas, oil, timber and minerals. As long as there is a Russia, the Americans will rage about “freedom and democracy” while they go around stomping them both out around the globe. Putin’s challenge of preventing an intense cold war from now becoming a hot one only now begins. All success to him. If the West literally portrays him as the Devil (which they do–just read today’s press), he must be the man that Destiny has chosen for the job.
but whilst they threaten and bully via the press they do nothing in the real world. They are trying to keep their populations ‘in line’ with big talk whilst, to me anyway, they appear utterly shell shocked and dumbfounded. They simply can’t keep up. As Dmitry said, today was the day the BS stopped and what is the Empire without its hollywood press BS? It is nothing, empty, meaningless, calcified and collapsing. Americas cognitive dissonance has finally collided with reality (as would always be the case) and they are currently lost and clueless, thus falling back to ‘default’ position of ranting russophobic tosh and making inconsequential threats.
I was so pleased at the press conference when he brought up Zakharchenko – who signed the original Minsk agreements and how he was assassinated by the SBU.
Again, Russia/VVP acknowledging the murder of the Russian ethnic population in Ukraine and their murders haven’t been forgotten and those responsible will be brought to justice.
It is so important that Russia acknowledges these war crimes – it is a sign that Zone B doesn’t tolerate Zone A’s war crimes any longer and justice will prevail.
Russia’s official policy re: Minsk II was stated by Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya at a UN Security Council meeting, “which precisely outlined why the recognition of the baby twins does not bury the Minsk agreements.
The baby twins actually declared their independence in May 2014. In 2015 they signed the Minsk agreements as one of the interested parties. Theoretically they could even be back within Ukraine if Kiev would ever decide to respect the agreements, which will never happen because the US has vetoed it since 2015. Moreover, the people of Donbass do not want to be subjected to a regime harboring neo-Nazis.
As Nebenzya outlined, “I would like to remind you that at the time of the conclusion of the Minsk agreements, the LPR and DPR had already declared independence. The fact that Russia today recognized it does not change the composition of the parties to the Minsk agreements, since Russia is not one (…) Another thing is that the Minsk agreements have long been openly sabotaged by Ukraine under the auspices of our Western colleagues. Now we see that many colleagues want to sign that the Minsk agreements are dead. But this is not the case (…) We are still open to diplomacy, but we do not intend to allow a new bloody massacre in the Donbass…””
Hello, I do not ofter post here. I have a serious point to express here.
Minsk agreements are dead, even though they have been backed by a UNSC resolution.
JCPOA is also dead, but Iran has no right to consider it dead and to protect its national interests. Only UNSC top powers have this right.
Putin, loud and clear:
Borders will be the same as defined in the constitutions of the twin republics when they seceded from Ukraine.
Lone Wolf
Putin buried Minsk 2. He also said he (we) authored the Minsk 2 Agreements. So he knows when they are dead.
The borders are what the Republics say they are.
The Russian military will fight along with the Republics if necessary.
He indicated that the Ukraine should be de-militarized.
The Ukies’ desire for nukes will not happen because it would be an existential strategic threat.
He charged a specific SBU officer with the assassination of Zakharchenko who signed the Minsk 2 Agreement.
Clear indication that Russia is not going to allow Ukraine to exist unless it is neutral and incapable of making war.
Minsk 2 was a choke bone in Kiev’s throat.
Putin now has Ukraine in a choke hold. Pressure on its “caratoid artery: will disable it.

Putin did no say that, and Minsk II are not dead, yet.

Double standards anyone ?
