The warfare around the quenelle gesture is reaching a new new heights in France were representatives of the plutocratic elites are now seriously considering the following options:
a) banning the latest show of Dieudonne
b) closing down his theatre in Paris
c) jailing Dieudonne
d) making the quenelle gesture a criminal offence
and, I kid you not,
e) create a special cell with representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Economy to bankrupt Dieudonne (this is not the official reason, but that is clearly the aim).
In the meantime, more and more people are breaking free from their zombified state and join the many thousands of people who are openly defying the state by going on record making the quenelle gesture. What is particularly distressing for the doubleplusgoodthinking French elites is that the “quenelle movement” achieved something which the elites claimed as an objective and which now turn into a true nightmare for them: it unites Whites, Blacks, Arabs, immigrants, natives, Papists, Muslims, agnostics, young, old, male, female – you name it, they have it. This is truly a mass grass-roots phenomenon which knows, quite literally, no barriers. Can I just give you one example? Alain Soral made is latest Internet video in a Tshirt sent to him by the French Prime Minister’s personal protection service! Yes, even there :-)
Anyway, here are a few videos “from the trenches” which really do not need translation:
First, Bertrand Delanoé, lapsed Freemason, lapsed Papist, current homosexual, high-raking apparatchik of the French Socialist Party and current Mayor of the City of Paris: (make sure to listen to the part where Bertrand goes hysterical)
Then some proud quenelle making youth:
No doubt, there is much more to come, much much more, in the near future.
I will keep you posted :-)
Reporting from the frontlines of the “quenelle wars”,
(Cheers!)

Well, they put Flaubert on trial for Madame Bovary and Bridget Bardot was fined for make a racist remark. What a country.
Sorry for being a bit off topic. Or is Putin preparing a super quenelle for the Saudis?
Is this real info? Couldn’t find any confirmation on Russian media:
Putin threatening Saudi Arabia
Quote:« We don’t need more time to identify the criminal authors of those terror attacks and Russia will soon respond. Our response will be such that it will change the map of the Middle East ! »
@Anonymous:Or is Putin preparing a super quenelle for the Saudis? Is this real info? Couldn’t find any confirmation on Russian media
Me neither. And the Parti Anti Sioniste does not quote a source. Also, if the Russians had evidence that the Saudis did it, I think that they would try to use that to their advantage behind the scenes rather than to make that kind of “roaring threats” (Notre réponse sera telle qu’elle changera la carte du Moyen-Orient!) so I think that this is crap.
But I will keep an eye open on the Russian news sources just in case.
Cheers!

Hi Saker! A virtual Quenelle salute to you my friend.
I was just curious if the word Quenelle meant anything or is derived from something in French?
@ Lysander
The quenelle is a food preparation area of the city of Lyon. A soft, long thing a bit obscene, sticky.
But it is, in common language, a way of saying “hey! Take it in your face.” A way of saying “you wanted to f*** me but it is I who f*** you”
The lyrics of the song that the young people sing throughout France are for François Hollande and say “François do you feel it that slides into your a** … the quenelle… the quenelle …”
Sorry for my bad english s ript but I’m french…

You were certainly correct in your prediction that the quenelle was no mere flash in the pan but a formidable groundswell in French culture. It’s really taking off, isn’t it? The plutocratic authorities are clearly no match for this. Control freak “elites” cannot cope with mockery, and the more heavy handed their crackdowns on it, the stronger the mockery becomes. My father always said to never trust anyone who has no sense of humor, as they’re wound too tight.
You’re probably already familiar with Thierry Meyssan’s site, but in case other readers aren’t, here’s a good article:
http://www.voltairenet.org/article181663.html
I’m so glad you ran that first article when you did. Right afterwards I began to see more reports as the hysteria of the humorless mustered its troops to battle the troublesome quenelle. Had it not been for your article I wouldn’t have had a clue about what they were getting so worked up over. Thank you !
I’ll be watching this all with interest. The French have such a rich tradition of witty insolence and sarcasm. The “elites” seem determined to suppress freedom of expression, but the quenelle will have the last laugh. Voltaire himself would be proud.
It really would help if these video’s had english subtitles.
@Lysander: a virtual quenelle salute back you you, my friend. As for where the word comes from, I explained it all here:

@Sky:The French have such a rich tradition of witty insolence and sarcasm.
Yes, and that makes the ugly and hysterical reactions of the French plutocrats look even so much worse…
@anonymous:It really would help if these video’s had english subtitles.
You are right, but I simply do not have enough hours in one day to do that kind of stuff myself. But if I see it, I will post it here.
Cheers,
The Saker
@ Lysander
Wikipedia says, the word “quenelle” is a derivative of the german word “Knoedel”.

I’d rather prefer not to comment on the different forms of the two…
Thanks for featuring and explaining this La Quenelle movement, Saker.
I am puzzled, though, by the raised index finger gesture. Could you enlighten me?
@James
The finger pointing up means that stupidity is going to go so high above that there is nothing after except the sun.
This is a very common gesture among Dieudonné …
The obvious outcome of every attempt to silence Dieudo is that the Zionazis can´t get around this without becoming a laughing stock and expose themselves for what they are, much as Ape Foxman & AIPAC has done, silencing critics and hysterically calling for yet more wars for the Jews. Im just waiting for them to stick the “Hitler” du jour label on both him and Soral.
Bertrand Delanoé on the other hand seems to be the person who would enjoy the direct physical aspect of the Quenelle in it´s full size…
Mikhas.
The quenelle is a nice symbol.
I would love to see some resistance building in the EU.
But what’s next? We had the occupy movement, but that fizzled out.
The French official reaction is completely over the top, but usually these phenomena get only neglect and some sarcasm.
Legislation project to criminalize the quenelle gesture:
By Meyer Habib, French-Israeli elected at the National Assembly and representing the French living abroad.
Project was announced on Israeli television, probably to demonstrate who is governing the French government.
If you want to know what the French people think about it, or just have some fun, just read through the comments on his Facebook page:

Saker and all those celebrating the Orthodox Christmas, may I wish you and yours a very happy festive time.
@Fern: thanks! and may you and all those who celebrate this day today also have a joy-filled and peaceful Nativity!

Hi Saker,
Here’s wishing you and yours a blessed and joyous Christmas. And many more to come.
@Sky
The “elites” seem determined to suppress freedom of expression, but the quenelle will have the last laugh. Voltaire himself would be proud.
Sorry to crack your bubble, but Voltaire would have been in the anti-quenelle camp. There’s probably not a worse fraud than Voltaire. He can be considered the BHL (Bernard-Henry Lévy) of the 18th century.
If you understand french, you should listen to the conferences on Voltaire from Marion Sigaut that can be viewed from the E&R site.

Hi,
here an excellent assessment of the Quenelle in English from Gilad Atzmon
http://joelecorbeau.com/2014/01/08/gilad-atzmon-auteur-et-jazzman-juif-soutient-dieudonne/
As eagerly anticipated (by me at least), here´s Atzmons take on The Quenelle:

Mikhas.
@james
I am puzzled, though, by the raised index finger gesture. Could you enlighten me?
This is another Dieudonné gesture he made in several of his shows (in J’ai fais l’con notably). It is used like a quenelle, to show that you or someone did something that is so at the top that above that, there’s only the sun (au dessus c’est le soleil).
He uses it often in a sarcastic way.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3knsYh2rOs
In that clip (the context’s missing so it’s not funny per se) he says: Lies, lies, is life only a lie. squeek, squeek, above there’s only the sun.
Here a clip that was mounted by a fan, which distills it in a compact way. It’s an attack against Bernard Henri Lévy* the fakest fake philosopher in existance. There Dieudonnés gesture shows that there’s nothing above BHL in fakery, lying and fraud. ABove there’s only the sun.
* Dieudo in one of his shows describes him as: “BHL stands in old Hebrew for an ancient mythical creatures, a creature sculpted out of its own poop.”
I think I forgot the link to the second video

De retour from a little holiday just had the time to have a glance at the news. Spotted immediately the hasbartchik babling about “love” for Dieudonne (2 Jan), Russian “paranoia” which sent “young women dancing in a church to gulag”, etc. The little hasbaratchik pretended to be French (cum British) so he could see live where real paranoia is (and why), in the land of CRIF and LICRA.
Is it not ironic, then, that Le chant des partisans is in fact a Russian melody and was composed by Anna Smirnova-Marly (nee Anna Yourievna Betoulinskaya) scion of a noble Russian family related to Lermontov, Stolypin, Berdyaev? Nikto, nikakaia sila, nas ne pokorit, ne otgonit.
Vive l’amitie franco-russe!

@Le chant des partisans,
A little completion: Le chant … was proposed, after WWII, as the new national anthem for France! There is no lost time!

I lectured on health issues in Paris last week to a mixed audience (age, ethnicity) of some 3-4 hundred. Showed slides of families from different nations, and for the French one had found (c/o the Daily Mail) a pic of Hollande, Royale, Trierweiler and Gayet within a few feet of each other at some official function. There was a collective gasp – that image had not been shown in France – I asked the audience how one should respond to such a hero of the fifth republic and followed this with une quenelle. The response was a howl of animal rage which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up … I wasn’t around when Charles X was deposed, but I was there in ’68 (Athens too), and it felt very similar.
@Potemlin village: wow! what a fantastic story! I wish I had been there. Say, could you either post a link to the photo in question or email it to me at vineyardsaker@gmail.com?
Thanks a lot et a+
The Saker
I suppose he means this picture
http://french.china.org.cn/foreign/txt/2014-01/17/content_31224669.htm
At one moment I even thought that the Lady with black hairs in the background was Anne Hidalgo, which would be Hollande’s girl between Royale and Rottweiler, but she only looks a little bit like her.
I’ve seen it, but I do not read the normal press, I’m on E&R where it was featured.
Dearest Saker,
Please, write more brilliant essays on the French Resistance. It has been too long. You have the best writings on the subject.
A big Fan,
