The regional and international scene looks like a kaleidoscope of colours in a fantasy painting. However, this is what is currently happening in between two phases and two regional regimes. After the major two powers reached an agreement and the American-Iranian plus the Russian-Saudi talks about the new regional Middle Eastern order took place, the latest development is the secret Syrian-American dialogue. Whilst it is true that it is a low-level dialogue, it has gone past the Iraqi mediators and security communications to become a political discussion that was initiated by American Foreign Affairs diplomats. It is based on the American recognition of the status-quo in Syria that; there will be no alternative for President Bashar al Assad and for having a dialogue with him, that it is not about internal political affairs, but about co-ordinating efforts to fight terrorism, resolving Kurdish issues, fighters who are not classified as terrorists etc.
Whilst Foreign Secretary, John Kerry, continues to blab about excluding President Assad from the political solution in Syria, his superiors have had detailed discussions with their Syrian counterparts.
Americans have agreed to widen their air strikes against terror organisations to include Al Nusra Front and its allies in addition to ISIS. This is considered as a political victory for Syria which had invariably faced the danger of America re-arming al Nusra Front and describing it as “moderate opposition”. With this, 80 per cent of anti-government forces become targeted in accordance to the American–Syrian agreement. This can be considered as the cornerstone for the new anti-terror coalition as suggested by Russia. As for the other fighters, the local ones, as well as those associated with the Western/GCC foreign intelligence, discussions are underway to make decisions about them. This includes merging some elements of the FSA with the Syrian Army and/or with the National Defence Forces.
Ironically, Washington is now closer to Damascus that it is to Ankara which has not yet severed its strong ties with terror organisations, and which continues to take advantage of the war on terror to hit the PKK, all the while its Syrian branch is an ally to both the Syrians and Americans. Turkish President Erdogan will soon have two choices; he will either have to join the anti-terror coalition by action, not just by words, or, he will lose his political cover to confront the PKK and face his destiny domestically.
The American announcement of securing air defence to “moderate opposition” is in reality aimed against Al Nusra, ISIS and Turkey and not against the Syrians. The wording of the declaration however, and which included the Syrian army in the list of targets, is simply for political consumption.
This analysis finds congruence with the ambiguous American endorsement of creating a “safety zone” in northern Syria. Was it really achieved and does it have any meaningful significance on the ground other than turning it into a compound which sorts out what to do with fighters who do not belong either to ISIS, al Nusra or any of its partners? Either way, any step in such a direction will not happen without consultation with the Syrians.
In the meanwhile, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mouallem received a formal invitation from his Omani counterpart Youssef bin Alawi to visit Muscat for bilateral discussions, leading up to a meeting between Mouallem and his Saudi counterpart, Adel Al-Jubeir. A trilateral meeting may also eventuate during this same visit.
The Omani initiative falls within the escalating sequence of events in pursuit of a resolution, the highlights of which have been clarified in the Russian – American – Saudi meeting in Doha the day before yesterday. It does not contradict, as a matter of fact it complements, the amended Iranian initiative that is being discussed by the Iranian – Russian – Syrian trio in Tehran, the launching of which may signal the end of war on Syria.
The new phase will have a bold agenda: fighting terrorism and exterminating fundamentalism, containing the Muslim Brotherhood, regional security, reducing geo-political and sectarian conflict, reaching resolutions on hot topics and, regional and international co-operation for reconstruction.
In brief, failure to isolate Iran and breaking Syria, Hezbollah and Houthis, together with the Bahraini struggle, has led to the acquiescence to a new regional, political structure that recognises Russian influence and regional interests as well as recognising Iran as a major regional power, not forgetting the Syrian Army and Hezbollah as they have been the major partner in combatting terrorist organisations and securing regional safety.
In Yemen, after the military breakthrough in Aden, Saudi Arabia and the UAE may declare victory and enter negotiations to reach a political resolution which in reality will mean a settlement between Riyadh and Houthis who will be recognised as a fundamental power in the Yemeni Republic. Whilst the Syrian and Yemeni files are being dealt with, the Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman, who is considered to be a major obstacle for reconciliation, may find that he has to resign. This will open the door for a resolution that is analogous to the Kuwaiti model.
The Deputy Crown Prince, Saudi Minister of Defence, Mohomed bin Salman, was quick to visit his Jordanian ally to tell him “game over!” War Rooms conducting the fight in southern Syria will be shut down and arrangements will be made to separate its military from political wings with the fighters that belong to Al Nusra front left without any protection.
Amman, which did not make any clear statements regarding the Iranian nuclear deal and what followed it in terms of repercussions, has received the green light to move forward with making settlements. The Jordanian government has got logistic, security and trade offers for Damascus. In return, Amman wishes to reach reconciliation and the ability to resolve the issue of Syrian refugees in Jordan. Syrian refugees are also a problem for Lebanon. It is worthy to note here that different Lebanese stakeholders, with the exception of Hezbollah, are excluded from the discussions and settlements.
Throughout all of these developments, it was interesting to see that Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, found the time and enough concern to meet with the Hamas Chief of the Politbureau, Khaled Meshaal, to write two letters, the first of which was addressed to the regional and international leaders, stating that Moscow is committed to the Palestinian cause which has been shelved since the beginning of the Arab Spring and, the second letter was addressed to Hamas, urging it to reconsider its position vis-à-vis the recent developments in the region, especially in Egypt.
I’ll believe the US doesn’t bomb Assad and the Syrian people when I see it.
The rest of the report here is good news.
Certainly, the Russians are weaving something crucial in the ME. Putin and Lavrov are geniuses and great diplomatic thinkers.
Now they are trying to do the hardest thing—make Peace and stop the Hegemon.
We who pray need to pray that these efforts come to fruition.
God bless Putin and Lavrov.
Developments in the Middle East aren’t all about Lavrov & Putin. http://blogs.rediff.com/mkbhadrakumar/2015/08/06/us-secures-gcc-backing-for-iran-deal/
Something has indeed shifted in Washington and I’m wondering if we shouldn’t be thankful for Netanyahu.
His over-the-top behavior and rhetoric made plain Israel’s insanity, thereby isolating it. With that, the intractable problems of the Middle East suddenly became tractable after all.
Israel will be left on its own, they are not as high playing card as it used to be. Russians will take the opportunity, because they are at least exactly as selfish and scrupulous as other governments in terms of national interests (except the European states of course, they are just blind and stupid vassals). So if USA is playing its game on Turkey and Iran, Russia will start talks with Saudis, they have common interests regarding the oil price. And they are able to please Israelis simultaneously.
I mean it would be silly from Moscow to rely only on the fresh relations with Peking, they will not last very long.
China will be soon sealed off by American “allies” and Russia is not exactly the huge market China needs (poor 120 mil. of population). So China will turn on Russia with demands on land and resources. And that is the very dream of Washington.
In the meanwhile Kurdistan will play its role by destroying Turkey (simultaneously hoping for finishing ISIL) and connecting Iran to Medittarean. That will provide EU with non-russian gas and without transit through non-reliable broken and corrupt Ukraine and being blackmailed by arrogant and rising Turkey.
Get your pop-corn and watch the big game´s final soon: Russia vs. China, with India+Japan ready to interven on either side should one of them be loosing easily.
The whole China is going to grab Siberia after being shut out of Africa thing is has been kicking around for a while. I think Brezinski authored this scheme. This fails to realize that China is always happy to pay cash for what it wants. That’s why it’s doing so well in Africa. It’s never been an expansionist imperialist power, just a victim of imperialism. I think that in the last year China and Russia have decided that they are in this together. I don’t anticipate a Chinese invasion of Russia.
Yes, let those other nations destroy each, while Europe sits back and bides its time.
Then we will see the birth of a European Reich that Hitler dreamt of!
Divide and conquer is what European (especially the Anglos) imperialists have always specialized, playing one country after another.
Europeans, like the British, are very good at pushing propaganda memes to incite and foment conflicts between nations–aren’t they, “Master”? ;-)
Europeans like to posture as “puppets” of America, but is that really true?
The United States was founded by European colonizers, after all. And Israel is a European colonial settler state. Some things to consider….

Do you not have Wikipedia? Russia is 145+ million people. And then add another 30+ for the other members of the Eurasian Union. And depending on how Ukraine ends up a possible 45 million more people. You really must be lonely here.Being one of the only Russophobes here must be tough for you.
the master, the use of the racist, contemptuous ‘Peking’ says it all about your ‘contribution’. Then it plumbs lower depths.
Actually, they are about Putin and Lavrov.
One needs to keep in mind the chronology of it all.
Begin with Syria, for instance: how it all began – and who is the peacemaker? Not the US/NATO, not the GCC. These guys are turning to Russia now because they see that following the US is leading to their countries’ destruction. And in any case, the US itself is not too blind to see that it’s evil but totally idiotic plots are falling apart…
Recall Putin’s letter to the last meeting of the Arab League: they ignored his call to search for solutions other than bombings, but now they see he was right: even poor little Yemen has resisted their “solution”. Saudi Arabia is having to borrow (through bond issues) because of the fall in oil prices, and though dirt rich, it cannot finance terrorism all over the place without feeling the pinch.
The Iran deal: Obama made it sound Russia had “helped the US” during the negotiations, but check the history and you’ll find Putin at the very source. There must be a reason why Obama openly “praised” Putin: probably a prearranged signal to Putin? – “Now! Let’s do it!”
Russia’s last year’s effort at bring the Syrian parties together were sabotaged by the US and associate hawks, like several other Putin’s initiatives, but other avenues are searched for and found: recall that strange talk with Muallem at the Kremlin:
“Do you agree to a coalition?” – “But these are all fighting us!” – “Never mind that, just say yes…” It was just a “mise en scene”… And it was followed by a Putin-to-Obama call. Also a mise en scene of a previously agreed plan. Probably to place the US hawks before the fait accompli. Never mind the idiotic reporting by the State Department.
And this is what is working out today. And it will work out, provided the madmen there can be short-circuited – and this is what we should pray for, as Red Ryder recommends.
Erdogan is a crook and a cheat, but the players know this well – especially the Russians and the Iranians. Therefore, no matter what he says, he cannot destroy Syria on his own: he’ll do what the US tells him to do. He’s already made positive noises about joint anti-Daesh actions with Iran…
As for the French and the Brits, their double-dealing will also short-circuited, and they’ll have to follow the US lead, so long as Obama is able to resist his hawks and stay the course, which is by no means certain. He’s now taking advantage of the distraction afforded by that messy circus of the presidential nominations, but who knows what he can and cannot do?
Therefore, our knees, and pray for both Putin and Obama: the first, so his complicated web work may succeed, the second, so that he may find the courage to resist the monsters around him, and accept to be advised by Putin…
That’ll require a true miracle…
OT: So the Swedish zio-quislings have finally found that elusive Russia sub that has been plaguing them for many months now.
Hundred Year Old Russian Submarine Found Near Sweden
Sweden might have finally found a mysterious Russian submarine lurking around in its territorial waters.
The Tsarist-era Som-class submarine has remained underwater for almost a hundred years; it sank in 1916 during World War I.
The submarine was found 1.5 nautical miles off the coast of Sweden. Somewhat ironically, this comes nine months after Sweden accused Russia of sending submarines into its territorial waters.
Rusting, covered with barnacles and with a skeleton crew, one can understand the “Swedish” zio-quisling fear… ;D
Maybe it is the “Flying Russian”,a Slavic remake of the Flying Dutchman Legend.A ship under a spell doomed to sail the seas,in this case Swedish waters, for eternity.
I can’t resist posting this…
It’s the skeleton crew part that terrifies them:

This is Cantonese — years back there was an English version on youtube but it was taken down for copyright. Maybe the gay implications of Skeletor and ‘He Man’ show was too much for someone. Anyway — it still cracks me up.
But then, farce is supposed to funny at times, no?
Hi Blue,,,”…gay implications of Skeletor…”: ?? I watched it…very funny to see this in Cantonese….but I get that sentence of yours…

Maybe this is one of the more subtle aspects of American culture (and psyche) from the 80s?
Did you know Mattel was, who did this ‘Masters of the Universe’ (where have we heard that before? well, actually ‘Masters of Mankind’) business, toy line, etc. (who incidentally also manufactured the handgrip for the M16 during the Vietnam war, ans was widely though to make the weapon — catch phrase when they jammed was ‘It’s Mattel — it’s swell!, the company’s slogan). But it was just the handgrip.
But Chomsky and ‘Masters of Mankind’ —
http://www.haymarketbooks.org/pb/Masters-of-Mankind
Masters of Mankind Essays and Lectures, 1969-2013 Globalization & Imperialism
— that brings us back to situation at hand from the kids’ TV and Toys (not to slight GI Joe, of course).
We can look at dialecticism, and Jungian archetypes, etc., and ‘The Power of Greyskull’ (or Skull and Bones), or other Manichean and schizoid US psyche and policy, and failure to reserve American early childhood trauma and alienation, but it still sorts out as craziness and the US forever pursuing impossible total domination and owning the world, like an addict looks for the perfect drug and perfect high.
In the psyche all this gets mixed and symbolism and emotion rules (as humans revert to their primate roots). It becomes dreamlike — or nightmarish — subconscious — ‘Through the Looking Glass’ with Humpty Dumpties and Red Queens — the break to the other side of ‘The Wall’ — the dark side, where delusion overlies reality and good clean fun becomes Thanatos.
Connect the dots…
yes, that anime video was pretty good…unfortunately I still don’t ‘get it’….I guess its about he man gays and subliminal education of our youth. by…..zio’s ?
Anyway, I was wondering why the term ‘manichean’ is used…what’s wrong with Mani ? 3rd Century heretic ?

2. A dualistic philosophy dividing the world between good and evil principles or regarding matter as intrinsically evil and mind as intrinsically good.
CF, Bush, with us or with the terrorists, US always good and those who oppose US is evil, etc. Black or white thinking
—————————————–
Its not subliminal education of youth, but schizoid culture and lack of resolution of either ambiguity or shades of gray. For instance, gay vs straight, as if only the two poles existed, and forcing people into rigid roles. In actuality there is a spectrum with most people in the middle somewhere, although inclined more or less strongly toward heterosexuality.
He Man is emblematic of this division, and the indications of being gay are everywhere, and yet repressed. The very name ‘He Man’, and all the other overt references to thisman, thatman, man at arms, etc., is so exaggerated as to be almost reversed. As well as the clothes, the plot, the two part sword (raised phallic symbol), and so forth.

Manly
adj.
a word used to describe something or someone that displays unusually man-like traits. Can be used in a non-homosexual sense.
Also note http://www.buzzfeed.com/adambvary/masters-of-the-universe-a-tragic-gay-love-story#.vbl5kPZJq
There comes a point where the ‘gay role’, often resulting from alienation, thwarting of the will to power and sense of autonomy, the develop of self identity, and infantilization of children — and then even adults — by a tyrannical society, actually overshadows biological sex ambiguity, and one ‘becomes gay’ as an expression of rebellion and search for the inner self (which has both masculine and feminine aspects). Sex is also overly confused with power and violence (note the sexual content of war, and the torture of captives).
It does get complicated in humans, with various roles and symbols involved. Cats are different — I’ve seen all sorts of sex and age ‘inappropriate’ behavior from them and yet they have no trouble producing lots of kittens. They are not hung up on it. What we can find with human sexuality, however, are signs of all sorts role transference, projection, and deep cultural disturbances, and questionable belief systems. One might even say that He Man is gay, in a split personality with a secret identity, because he personifies the lack of resolution in American culture of the individual in relation to society and to himself — it’s part of American ‘malignant egophrenia’, cognitive dissonance, and zombification.
Salam Dearest Blue,
The dualistic philosophy is a Christian thingy, where Good and Evil are in constant fight. Everything is seen on a two pole, tug of war scenario. There is no Lucifer in Old Testament (bad translation) and no fallen Angels in Judaism. Same applies to Islam, as God doesn’t have a enemy. Thus, no tug of war.
Quran tells us to look at things on a circle and not on a two pole straight line, tug of war basis. It tells us to put Day and Night on the opposite side of the circle, let us say on 3 o’clock and 9 0’clock position, or on a 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock position. One will see, how Day merges into Night and, how Night merges into Day. The varying shades.
The same can be done for everything, such as ET (Jinn) and Human (Inns). One will see varying shades of Intelligent Beings. Or a Man and a Woman, and one can see the varying shades too. Very macho looking men and women, as well as very girly looking men and women and different shades of…
And, Nature is imperfect and so is everything Created. Only God is Perfect, therefore they are men and women created as trans gender. Nothing wrong with this imperfection, as we all have some kind of imperfection within us. Therefore, in Iran there are free operations for changing gender and free physiological treatments after the operation. There are many Caitlyn Jenner a.k.a. Bruce Jenner in Iran.
In Islam, the Humans are better Creation than Angels. The Angels have intelligence but no desire. The animals have little intelligence but full of desire. The Humans have both the intelligence and desire. When a Human controls his/her desire and uses his/her intelligence, than he/she is better than Angels. If a Human lets his/her desire overcome himself/herself, overcome his/her intelligence, than he/she is worse than animals.
Another word, which is mistranslated in the Old Testament is, Zina. The meaning of Zina is sex between a Man and a Woman; between two men and between two women, unless a Man and a Woman are married to each other, where in this union the rights of innocent third parties, i.e. the children are fully protected.
Whatever happens within the 4 walls, then it is no one business, and only God’s business. However, whatever happens in open, becomes the society business. Thus, even though we are created with imperfections, and allowed to cure our imperfections, at the same time we are required to control our desire to become better than Angels.
Best regards,
Mohamed

Series of 6, originally on BBC. The first episode you have to sign in to access — Oh heavens to Murgetroid — they show a naked breast! — but not hte others.
Both of these have some good material, although yes, they are from the English zoologist establishment and male position so one can’t take it all without question. The evolutionary viewpoints, and data, give food for thought and some explanation and perspective for some important human behavior.
Assuming you have am Islamic creationist viewpoint you’ll have to do some translation, integration, and synthesis, but should find it interesting and informative.
Salam Blue,
I am a Shia Muslim. According to my belief we are into 60,000 generations of Adam and Eve. Let us say that each generation lasted 50,000 years, therefore mankind is very, very old. The Quran tells us that everything created came out of the water, including those who walk on 2 feet, or 4 feet or crawl on their bellies.
So, I am a true believer of evolution, and it doesn’t make me any lesser, if I am descended from monkeys. I will say, Hallelujah or rather Allelujah (Allah). Arabic is a very higher language, and some words in Arabic have about 42 meanings in English. One of meaning of Arabic word, “ruh” is spirit. There are many meanings in English but with translations we are restricted with only one meaning.
One of the meaning of “ruh” is knowledge, so when God blew His Ruh into Adam, it could mean that our Adam and Eve were high up in the chain of evolution with some knowledge.
You should listen to Roger Penrose about his latest theory of Big Bang. According to him, it is not just one Big Bang with a Chance, but series of Big Bang, each one Very Specialized and before dying out it triggers another Very Specialized Big Bang. But then he says that none of the religion believe this because to him, Islam is like Christianity and Mohammad got all the stories wrong.
Roger Penrose is also on BBC too, on Hard Talk.
I guess, he has not read the Quran! BTW, nothing wrong with naked breasts, as long as they are not saggy.
Best regards,
Mohamed
There are so many variations and interpretations of the religions it’s hard to know what any person’s take on it is. Some Muslims are very ‘fundamentalist’ regarding creation, while others take it as allegory — and that applies to other areas, and other religions too, of course.
Penrose (and Chalmers, Hameroff, and those guys) are very interesting and I’ve heard and read many things from them. I have my thoughts on consciousness and ontology too, and have written a few things, but it’s all very tentative since as a species we are not well equipped to deal with these issues and don’t know very much yet.
One aspect of my current thinking is that the distinction between physical and none-physical (‘spiritual’) throws us off track: we can’t define either one too well, or show they are actually qualitatively different, but that dualism is the dominant idea in western / Biblical religions. The West seems to like analysis (splitting apart) much more than synthesis, resolution, integration, or transformation, and it’s logic is based on the excluded middle. It’s quite limiting, and that shows in the ally vs enemy thinking in politics. I like the model you expressed about positions on a circle *which can be extended to position within a sphere, or a globe, or higher dimensional figures.

Ironically, the old Russian sub found was American made and sank in an accidental collision with a Swedish merchant ship. Here is a couple of links to this “dreaded menace” to Sweden:
“Som” = “Catfish” (early “Fulton”)
“Holland” type submarines (SOM) (1904 – 1907)
If memory serves, the Fulton was a joint Holland (John) and USN design that the USN eventually rejected and Holland sold her to the Russians at the beginning of their 1904-5 war with Japan, when the Russians were seeking to buy any ships they could. The Russians also built their own versions of this primitive sub. By WW1 these were considered obsolete, but the Russians, having a severe shortage of subs (all naval types, actually) continued to use them.
Salvaging this old sub and restoring it as a museum display would be great, if feasible, not many ships still survive from this era. I don’t think any of the original Holland boats still exist.
And this is how the swedes are planning to stop the “russian” submarines:

wonderfully written analysis thank you. any sparks or whiffs of optimism would be best pounced on here.
“It was not too long ago that Gazprom, the state-controlled energy conglomerate, was one of the Kremlin’s most potent geopolitical weapons. But those days now seem like a distant memory: Gazprom is a financial shadow of its former self.
The speed of Gazprom’s decline is breathtaking. At its peak in May 2008, the company’s market capitalization reached $367.27 billion, making it one of world’s most valuable companies, according to a survey compiled by the Financial Times. Gazprom’s deputy chair, Alexander Medvedev, repeatedly predicted at the time that within a decade the Russian energy giant could be worth $1 trillion.
That prediction now seem foolhardy. Since 2008, Gazprom’s value has plummeted. As of August 3, it had a market capitalization of $51.12 billion. A little over four years ago, in April 2011, the figure stood at $194.5 billion. No company among the planet’s Top 5,000 has suffered a bigger collapse in market capitalization, according to Bloomberg Business News.
Indicators suggest Gazprom is nowhere near hitting bottom, and lingering uncertainty raises questions about its survivability. During the first two quarters of 2015, Gazprom’s natural gas production fell by 12.9 percent. In addition, Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development predicts that annual production will fall to 414 billion cubic meters (bcm), the lowest level in Gazprom’s history, and well below the company’s 2015 target of 485 bcm. Last year, production declined by 9 percent to 444 bcm, which, at the time, was the lowest on record. Industry experts forecast that production will remain low over the next few years.”

Neither will work for long – natural resources are too valuable.

Dearest Brother Sake,
Oman like USA, my beloved country. A heaven on earth. God bless His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos, Allah to protect him. His Majesty, the ultimate peace maker.

Let’s hope Kerry’s bike accident was for him an occasion to remember his mortality, and be mindfull that he;ll soon meet his Maker and have to answer for his role in the wars of his country – and perhaps incline him to do all he can to help his colleague Lavrov in saving the world from annihilation….And may Allah protect the good Sultan Qaboos, and continue to bless his enterprises in the cause of peace.
And as for you, may your predictions prosper…
Not sure how accurate this poll is, but it argues that public support in the Donbass has been rising for joining Russia, and that about 2% now support the Minskian approach of a special region within the Ukraine:

The deal is not yet a deal.
The Iran government’s negotiated “Nuclear” deal “Treaty” with the United States government still has to pass a vote in Congress. That vote is not a sure thing. Zionist Senator Schumer (all the American ‘Senators’ are zionists, or the servants of zionists), has announced his opposition to the deal negotiated by the Holographic administration of (CIA agent) “acting president – pun intended, Hollywood Obomber, and his loving friend, Kerry.
It is possible – – – The Zionist Congress in Washington DC might follow the lead of their -flesh and blood- president, their actual president, their Commander in Chief, Netenyahoo, and reject the “Treaty.”
If the American zionist Congress rejects the treaty, what happens next?
If Congress rejects the “Treaty,” we are advised to pay close attention to who benefits from the rejection, keep our eyes open, see who does what to whom, and LEARN.
If Congress accepts the treaty, same point.
Just be prepared!
For the Vision!
For the Democratic Republics!
IMAGINE
Saw a few reports on Obama’s looming humiliation, with nary a mention of ‘Jew’, ‘Israel’, or ‘Zionist’. And Uncle Obama comes up with the lunatic proposition that the Congress is ‘aligning with Iranian hardliners’ , when they are, in fact, following orders from their Jewish financers. This will be a pivotal moment. The USA will become an openly controlled puppet of its Jewish Fifth Column and the Israeli fascist Right, or those forces will have fatally overreached. Unfortunately their reaction to a debacle and collapse in their power is likely to be typically deranged, in the tradition of Moshe Dayan’s ‘Mad Dog’ strategy.
General Soleimani, Quds Force commander, in Moscow for talks with Kremlin:
I see this as the formalization of a proxy army (Quds and Hezbollah) for Russian general staff to use to fight ISIS, Turkey, NATO (if necessary).
Russia is determined to fight a war on the ground in Syria and to defend the air over Syria. However, it does not want to send troops (except specialists).
This requires a coordination similar to Donbass. The Iranian force will become that proxy army. This is Iran’s price for Russian and Chinese support in the nuclear deal.
I have no reason to believe that General Soleimani went to Moscow for any other purpose. He must sign on and agree to allow Shoigu and the General Staff to command the strategy and tactics as well as provide logistics and Intel (real time) and to use Russian EW (electronic warfare) to achieve success (protecting Assad and defeating ISIS-AQ-Turks).
Also, there will be “agreements” to coordinate with Kurds in their work against Turkey and ISIS.
This is also preamble work to qualify Iran for entry as full member into SCO. If Iran is going to be useful in the fight against terror, then Syria is the ideal and most crucial test of their cooperation.
Iran’s S 300 missile defense, soon to come from Russia, will depend on Soleimani complying with Putin’s wishes.
@ Larchmonter445,
Q; Iran’s S 300 missile defense, soon to come from Russia, will depend on Soleimani complying with Putin’s wishes.
R; Those S 300 missile defense systems are like real 300s, they’re going nowhere.
Once those systems are really there, on the ground in Syria and fully operational, I will believe it’s true.
Hello Larchmonter445, very interesting comment indeed. There were a few articles lately though that there are troups in Russia willing to go to Syria and fight if the Russian Government decides to do so. There has to be some guarantee that the US forces will not attack the Syrian troups on the ground and thereby risking to be attacked by them. Which of course will lead to escalation between Syria and US. So if there are Russian troups on the ground in Syria to protect the lines bordering the so called IS it would definitely inhibit the US or the Turks to do some stupid thing.
Do you have a link re the visit of General Soleimanis visit?
Also thank you for the saker for publishing this article and for the translation! These news are breathtaking.
Also above by @ anonymous
Also brilliant comment. I agree with everything you said.
.”…. and pray for both Putin and Obama: the first, so his complicated web work may succeed, the second, so that he may find the courage to resist the monsters around him, and accept to be advised by Putin…”
At the end of the day Turkey will be one of the biggest losers of it all. Instead of continuing on the path of negotiation with the Kurds they might now even have to face a (this time genuine) civil war. And all the people who were arguing in the past that Russia and Iran will stop their support for Syria and let go of their ally have been proven wrong.
Thank you Nahed Hatter and translators Ghassan Kadi and Intibah Kadi.
A very interesting article – I hope the US Neocons and Erdogan don’t stop the peace/reconciliation process.

Dear Saker,
Please, please, *please* – if it doesn’t infringe any copyright laws – put this article from Theirry Myassan above the line. It explains *everything* that’s currently happening in the M.E. Yes, it was a neo-con proxy plot – the main agitator was ex-Prime Minister (Chirac gov) Alain Juppe who bribed Erdo with EU membership if he supported the bombing of Libya and pivoted away from the nascent, Iran-led M.E. trading bloc (a movement similar to the EU and which I personally knew nothing about.) This is what’s behind the destabilizing of Syria.
I already posted the link on the CRIF French thread, but consider it too important to be overlooked, so am re-posting here:

I found this article on the origins of Israel, Zionism and the impact on Jewish-Arab relations in the Middle East.
Written thirty years ago (1975) , it offers both a political and psychological analysis of what the author calls Israeli psychosis. Basically, how their paranoia was manufactured by the British (Richard Crossman), CIA (with Nelson Rockefeller playing a major role in stamping out Jewish socialism, all the better to have manageable slave class) and the ‘divide and conquer’ tactics of arming both Jews and Arab terror gangs to keep them in a state of perpetual frozen conflict.
What is especially illuminating is the way the Israeli leaders actively embraced the tactics of the Nazis in keeping the colony under control.
It explains so much about the situation today.

Eimar, thanks much for that link.
A lot of the commentary from that time has been lost, but I remember that Israel’s pathologies were the subject of hot discussions at that time.
They were never cured, or even treated, and are (I believe) are now finally proving lethal.
eimar, I read the entire article and I thank you sincerely for posting it here, as it sheds a great deal of light on something I have been thinking about a great deal lately: Namely Christopher Bollyn’s 911 Original Articles (completed) and Solving 911 (the book, barely begun), with its almost exclusive concentration on an Israeli/Zionist hypothesis versus Webster Tarpley’s 911 Synthetic Terror Made in the USA,. read many months ago, which includes The 46 Drills of 911, many of which were “flipped live” that morning, without the cogs in the machine suspecting what they were a part of.
This sets up a sort of mental dissonance that begs resolution, because both are quite different, but obviously both very well researched, and almost equally convincing approaches. Nancy’s Campaigner article from 1975 tunes the dissonance arising from having considered both, into a sort of coda.
How on earth do you pull off such a vast false flag terror atrocity, with such a huge number of participants, without a breakdown in secrecy, loyalty, etc ? Part of the answer is drills, where the pieces are set in motion, with no real consciousness of the larger whole they are a part of, per Tarpley. However Tarpley, whose, hypotheses are perhaps more over-arching, puts at most 2% of his emphasis on Israelis, and the exposure of zionists such Wolfowitz, Perle, as suspects is much more for their role in PNAC or the Department of Defense or other agencies, than from their allegiance to Israel, which he mentions but does not dwell on remotely to the degree that Bollyn does.
Each cites their particular expertise, and then applies it to their hypotheses and research, and after considering both, a real dissonance arises. What Nancy’s article answers is the mass psychology issue that seems to me to be at the root of resolving the dissonance: namely MASS PSYCHOSIS AS IDENTITY created by the oligarchic elites by their gang/counter gang divide and conquer tactics of psychological enslavement, over very, very long periods of time. Then you can see how the whole casts of zionist characters Bollyn examines in great detail, each motivated by their own sick world view, could easily play their part and never break ranks, never even care to examine the architectural level above the part they played. You are not dealing with short-term recruitment or brainwashing there which could never be deep enough to hold, you are dealing with generation after generation of psychosis and incredibly deep “programming” by which some of the oppressed Jews in Nazi occupied Europe, in a psychotic “survival” reaction and attraction to power, actually become the same thing that their oppressors are, ie Nazis, psychologically, psychopaths. Gives newer, deeper meaning to the term “zionazi” which initially struck me as somewhat superficially true. Now, reflecting on Nancy’s analysis, and Bettleheim’s, one grasps that it is a deeply factual term, as Saker defines it on this blog
I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if Nancy were jewish, by the way, and I say that to her credit, if she is. That is because those that comprehend the psycho ward (not the slave labor extermination camps, but the social and political aftermath, like Bettleheim himself, would be the most insightful and strong, with stronger antidotes against the psychosis than any non-Jew might achieve if they never had to endure that psycho-wringer up close and personal. So despite the horror show so many are trapped in, escape and freedom are possible! Because I know Jews who have the most detailed knowledge of the disease as well as full immunological resistance to it.
I can buy Bollyn’s assertion that the WTC towers destruction was first planned (to bind US military power to Israel, even more tightly) in the 70’s, shortly after their construction, with so many mental slaves of the zionist psychosis more than willing to plug in and assist.
But I can also buy Tarpley’s assertion, which I don’t think Bollyn would dispute, that the purpose of 911 goes way beyond zionism in the service of the world oligarchy, including nominally jewish bankers that supported the rise of fascism and nazism itself for profit, and enslavement of the minds of as many people as possible, first and foremost as OLIGARCHS, apparently always as pro-zionists (such an effective mental straight-jacket could never be disavowed by a truly committed oligarch), but not necessarily as “jewish”, in order to control Germans, jews, and especially since 9/11 hundreds of millions of Americans emotionally hypnotized by an extremely elaborate stunt, and as much of the rest of the world as they can manage, to boot..Clearly the goal is to make us just as zombified morally as the zionists both Nancy and Mr Bollyn examine, 30 years apart.
I’d like to also thank a regular visitor here for emailing me this link that somewhat powerfully makes this last point, so I can stop here:

Long, but worth it. A very effective diagnosis of those at the very highest peak of oligarchism, higher I believe than anything in the psycho states these psychotics create. Not all-comprehensive, but very detailed from one major point of view.
Much was known to me before, but not before in such minute detail. If there is anything false in it, I don’t know it to be false, yet.
So glad you found it helpful E and M&S.
It was all news to me as it was thirty years ago.
But it really does explain so much – not just about Israel itself, but how the process of assault on the Marxist diagnosis of ‘Das Capital’ has been sustained through oligarchical financing of sectarianism on multiple vectors – both between and within ‘tribes.’
If we’re speaking of the Nancy Spannaus article, August 1975 to August 2105 = 40 years ago! The years do fly… :-)
Umm… they don’t fly that fast! I meant 2015!
I am no doubt weaker on the socialist/ Marx doctrine than you, eimar. But I will reread with more concentration on that aspect on Nancy’s article, which began to be less and less emphasized (“socialism”) in later issues of Campaigner. Rockefeller hung around another decade or so, but was de-empahsized in favor of a concentration on the British (imperial brains behind American “dumb giant on a a British leash” brawn.
I thought I got my hands on most issues, but that one escaped me. BTW, I know Nancy a little bit, I should add. In the 90’s she was a guest of mine for a couple of days. This article you posted was the first time I ever saw her maiden name, possibly identifying herself as jewish (?). Spannaus is the Greek surname of her husband, Ed.
Salam eimar,
Sorry, I disagree!
It is saying that we are not responsible for our actions. We are back to original sin.
Best regards,
Mohamed
eimar, I think that the pathopsychology of the Zionist derives from three main sources. First and foremost, Judaic religious belief and practise that makes xenophobia and eternal enmity towards the Other the very essence of the group. Not practised with equal fervour by all the various schools of Judaism, but most certainly by the orthodox, ultra-orthodox and the various fundamentalists, and inherited by various secular chauvinists. Second, fear and hatred of the goyim that, understandably, flows from the Nazi Judeocide, although as the decent and compassionate Jewish survivors who denounced the latest Gaza Massacre by saying ‘Never again means never again for anybody’, show, different groups have derived radically different lessons from that horror. And third, the typical European settler colonists’ hatred and contempt for the indigenous who refuse to disappear from the Chosen People’s God-ordained lebensraum. A toxic brew, made worse by Israel’s total impunity to International Law through the Jewish Lobby’s control of US politics.
Dear Mohamed
I do not believe in original sin ,- once we reach the age of reason, we are indeed responsible for our action.
But understanding – or trying to – the ‘why’ of social behaviour (for no man – or woman – is an Island) is not an endorsement of the ‘what.’
Ps if you can, could you please re-post the link to the article on Islamic socialism you mentioned in a previous post? Can’t find it, and it sounded really interesting.
Best regards.
