By Aram Mirzaei for the Saker blog
On May 6, the Syrian Army finally kicked off the long awaited Idlib offensive to expel the US-backed Jihadists from the Idlib demilitarized zone. Having postponed the offensive for months due to Ankara’s reluctance to allow the Syrian Army to reclaim the area, Moscow and Damascus finally lost their patience after the latest Jihadist missile attack on Hmaimeem airport last week and decided to punish these terrorists once and for all. This is the first offensive that the Syrian Army and its allies are launching this year, and despite some claims that the Syrian Army offensive will target the entire Idlib Governorate, the operation will rather be limited to the so called demilitarized zone that stretches from the Al-Ghaab Plain to the Abu Dhuhour Crossing. The offensive is primarily lead by the Syrian Army in coordination with allied militias, with the Russian Air Force covering the skies, however Iranian forces will also be present to offer logistical support. Since launching the offensive, the Syrian Army has quickly managed to steamroll the terrorists in northwestern Hama, moving to capture the imperative town of Kafr Naboudeh, as they are marching towards the Al-Ghaab plain. To the west, Syrian Forces are moving to attack the remaining Jihadist-held towns in northeastern Latakia, especially targeting the imperative town of Kabbani. The Syrian Army will be successful if they can neutralize the Jihadist threat to the government held towns in the Hama and Idlib provinces, thus denying the terrorists to launch raids on these towns.
What remains to be seen now is how Ankara will react as they are deeply entrenched with the Jihadist forces across this area, having previously set up 12 “observation posts” stretching between Latakia and Aleppo provinces. It is also interesting to speculate what this offensive will mean for Ankara and its proxies, if the Syrian Army is successful. As the Jihadists lose more ground, Ankara loses influence over northwestern Syria while the SDF consolidates its hold over the land east of the Euphrates. One theory as to why Ankara has agreed to this territory could be that Moscow and Damascus have temporarily agreed to allow Ankara to launch an offensive on the SDF held territory to the east, as a way to replace the territorial losses sustained on the Idlib front. Indeed Damascus has vowed to retake every inch of Syria, but given the amount of players involved in this war and given the numerous obstacles standing in Damascus’ way, it seems that a pragmatic approach is the best way to go here. It would be preferable if eastern Syria was occupied by Ankara and its proxies rather than by Washington and its proxies due to the fact that Ankara is more likely to cooperate and strike deals with Moscow and Damascus than the insane people over in Washington.
Washington intensifies animosity towards Tehran
Another week, another threat. Washington’s threats against Iran have become a weekly ritual now as idiots Pompeo and Bolton issued new threats towards as part of Washington’s “maximum pressure” campaign on Tehran. Tehran had earlier warned that if Iran cannot use the strait of Hormuz, then the IRGC would close it for everyone. This prompted Washington to ramp up its threats as they sent an aircraft carrier strike group to the region, in what was described as a “clear and unmistakable message to Iran” by Bolton. He added that the decision was “in response to a number of troubling and escalatory indications and warnings.” Really? In this situation Iran is the aggressive one who is escalating things? The Persian Gulf is Iran’s lifeline, and Washington is looking to cut that lifeline, situated some 10 000 kilometres away from America’s eastern coastlines, yet Iran is the one that must argue for why it is not seeking war with the most aggressive evil regime the world has ever seen. On top of that the White House fool Trump issued an executive order on Wednesday, imposing new sanctions on Iran’s metal and mining sectors, with Trump even taking to Twitter to threaten anyone doing business with Iran to have their assets illegally seized by Washington. At the same time, the White House fool added that he is “looking forward to someday meeting with the leaders of Iran in order to work out an agreement and, very importantly, taking steps to give Iran the future it deserves,”
What kind of a sick statement is this? Washington truly has no limit as to how low it can sink. Do they actually believe that Tehran will capitulate and agree to humiliation? I have a hard time believing even the idiots in Washington are this stupid. They can’t seriously believe that Tehran is going to be enticed to come back to the table with these threats and sanctions imposed. As a matter of fact things in Iran is looking really bad for the proponents of the JCPOA and further negotiations with Washington and its vassals as the conservative bloc, known as “hardliners” in the West were actually proven right in their arguments that it is completely pointless to negotiate anything with the West. President Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif have been facing a lot of scrutiny in Iran lately for their naïve belief that this deal would thaw relations with the West, and even Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has vocally criticized the deal in several speeches this year. As conservatives gain more ground in Iran, a fact I suspect Washington fully understands, Tehran is eyeing the only option remaining now: confrontation. It is either that or lying down and accepting death and defeat. The only conclusion I can draw from this mess is that Washington is actively looking for war. They want to provoke Tehran into a first strike so that they can start a larger regional war not only against Iran but also Tehran’s allies in Hezbollah and the Iraqi militias in a bid to destroy the entire resistance to the Zionist empire altogether.
This week also saw Iran informing the five remaining signatories to the JCPOA of its decision to suspend the implementation of some of its commitments under the multinational agreement, exactly one year after Washington unilaterally abandoned the agreement. I am amazed over the amount of self-restraint and patience exercised by Tehran since Washington’s exit from the deal last year, as Tehran has given the remaining signatories almost 12 months’ time to compensate for Washington’s withdrawal and guarantee the survival of the deal. Nevertheless, no measures to blunt the impact of economic sanctions re-imposed on Tehran have been taken by the remaining signatories. Not only is the Islamic Republic entitled to suspend the implementation of the deal, but it also has the right to withdraw from it altogether, what is the point of remaining in the deal when the main reason for entering it is now all but gone?
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has also given the remaining signatories 60 days to meet their commitments, and if they fail to address Tehran’s concerns, Tehran will suspend the implementation of two more commitments under the JCPOA. Unsurprisingly, the EU immediately rejected the ultimatum and expressed “great concern” about Iran’s decision. In a statement issued on May 9, top EU diplomats said “We reject any ultimatums and we will assess Iran’s compliance on the basis of Iran’s performance regarding its nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA and the NPT (Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons). In this respect, we recall the key role of IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) monitoring and verification of the implementation by Iran of its nuclear-related commitments.”
In the statement, the Europeans further expressed regret about the re-imposition of sanctions against Tehran and said they would stay fully committed to “the preservation and full implementation” of the JCPOA, which they described as “a key achievement of the global nuclear non-proliferation architecture, which is in the security interest of all.”
What a pathetic statement. When Washington withdrew from the deal, no one dared to even say a word, but when Tehran seeks to suspend some of its implementation after having been betrayed, the EU wants to “assess Iran’s compliance?” The EU has had a year to come up with a plan to continue the deal despite Washington’s withdrawal, but do not have the guts to stand up to Washington’s criminal behaviour of unilateral sanctions and threats. Instead all they have done is to talk nonsense and issue poor statements about their so called “commitments”. Washington has threatened to sanction anyone doing business with Iran, this includes its European vassals, why should Iran believe that the EU would dare to stand up to Washington and risk being slapped with sanctions themselves for the sake of Tehran? Ayatollah Khamenei previously warned that he does not trust the Europeans and has no faith in their promises, he is absolutely right as he fully understands that the EU has no will of its own and are a bunch of cowards who let Washington dictate their interests.
Tehran has nothing more to lose than it already has here, why remain in a deal that leaves Tehran without the deterrence of nuclear weapons and still be sanctioned? This situation is even worse than the one before the JCPOA deal. I usually don’t agree with the conservative bloc on foreign policy matters, but I see no other choice here for Tehran to guarantee its own survival in the face of Washington’s relentless aggression and criminal behaviour.
Russia and China expressed disappointment with the US pulling out of the agreement. They must be talking to Iran about it and doing something. But what?
The one PowerMove Iran can make is to issue an ultimatum to close the street of hormuz.
This way they not closing it at the moment, so not giving a reason for war.
But the ultimatum to close it, – in lets say 60days -, give enough pressure on the stock market and world econemy. This move will lead to negotiations. As it stands now , the USA is not paying a price.
The Iran must try to put american skin in the game and an ultimatum could do that.
I think an ultimatum with a fixed date may be a mistake. I would prefer a promise that, if Thanatopia imposes any further murderous (and illegal under International Law)sanctions then Iran will intercept and stop tankers. If the USA intervenes with force, then it will be on. That might start to mess with oil markets and prices, and tipping the debt-laden Thanatopian economy into recession won’t do the Sabbat Goy psychopath in the White House any good. But any way you look at it, Iran is being attacked by ultimate Evil, descending from the raw, theocratic, genocidal Evil of the Triple Axis of Death, Thanatopia, Sordid Barbaria and Talmudistan, down to the Sabbat Goy slave regimes of the EU, Canada, Austfailia etc, where hypocrisy and vicious duplicity so far outweigh plain blood-lust. But give the vermin who rule in Austfailia any opportunity to join their Thanatopian Masters in murder and destruction, and they’ll jump at it like the slavering running-dogs that they are.
I didn’t read that the ultimatum was to close the Hormuz Strait but to drop more of the promises made in the Iran Deal – closing the Hormuz is the final straw – I think with Bolton in charge there would be hot war – and that means thousands of lives…
Closing the Hormuz Strait is not a threat that can be played. It would be the tactical response to a strike by the US/Israel.
A Tactic is not a Strategy.
And a responding war act (closing the Strait) would be pro forma, expected. So it is a weak threat.
Demonstrating how its missiles could take out the US fleet in a simulation would be better threat. (like North Korea does its thing.)
Since Iran needs to do the unexpected, an asymmetrical strategy and tactics is needed.
What is now an economic war needs an economic strategy and tactical moves. Threatening the EU that the whole nuclear deal will be dropped by Iran is no good. They need the EU to be on their side economically. Teamed with Russia and China, the EU is ready to confront the US. Whether they will hold depends on their trust in Iran following the Iran nuke deal.
Iran can reach out through proxies (in Iraq especially) and really damage the US. This is where the rubber will meet the road if Iran is struck. They can humiliate CENTCOM if need be. It is unquestionably their best military strategy. The US has already reacted, near hysterically, to the surfacing of this option. All the carrier task force and B-52 nuclear threats are about Iraq as a battlefield where the US will take heavy casualties.
The US has seen the valor of the Iranian’s Iraq Shia militias (Popular Mobilization Forces–PMUs) which led the ground assault on the outer rings of defenses of Mosul. It was Shia that ripped through and destroyed the defenses of ISIS, not Iraq army nor US nor NATO. Without that success, Mosul would still be home of ISIS.
Those PMU militia also played a large role in SE Syria along the border. They are a proven, if not sophisticated fighting army. They would create hell for US ground forces in Iraq.
Iran needs willing superpower allies for economic support. And it needs the EU to circumvent the sanctions. They must be patient. And they should be “less loud”, playing this strategy.
Stopped reading when you said…’teamed with Russia and China, the EU is ready to confront the US’…
I thought Larchmont was in Westchester County, not disneyland…
On the Syrian front, it’s good to see some action in Idlib finally…Erdogan could only keep stalling for so long before The Boss finally dropped the hammer…the Jihadist missiles raining down on Hmeimim was the last straw…
You might want to keep reading, like what Lavrov spoke to about the system the EU is attempting to use to circumnavigate the sanctions.
You see, FB, you know little and bring little more than droppings.
China and EU are tightly bound in trade. There are a few in the EU who desperately want to keep Iran as a market. So, the three big players are all interested in containing US hegemony and some onset of military attack.
All beyond your knowledge and limits.
(By the way, LA has a district, Larchmont, also. Quite a short ride from Disneyland, you might discover.)
The joke, like the yoke, is on you.
Is that why Iran is dropping out of the JCPOA now…and saying it’s because of the EU’s failure to fulfill its commitments…?
Iran is not dropping out of the deal.
They are “suspending some commitments” they made.
Suspension is not dropping out. Nor is ‘some commitments’ the whole deal.
Read, learn, then you will not make such overreaching comments.
https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2019/05/08/595432/Iran-nuclear-commitments-JCPOA-Rouhani-US-withdrawal
FYI: Rouhani is the leader of the government, President.
“President Rouhani announced in a live speech on Wednesday that Iran was scaling back certain curbs to its nuclear program, announcing steps that would not violate its 2015 deal with the world powers.”
If you read the article carefully, you will see “economic” components of the JCPOA are not met by EU, proud sponsors and signatory to the deal (France, Britain, Germany).
What Iran wants right now is economic investment and trade with Russia, China and the EU signatories.
The iranian government is comprised of mentally colonized, pro west, western educated dupes and traitors. They have at times even HELPED the usa against China and her interests against the interests of the iranian people.
How fitting the words of the great Fanon is, when he in his “Black skin white mask” described, the relation between the colonized and the “motherland” as a child being punished by his mother and the more the mother punished the child, the harder the childe holds to the mother!
Rohani and his mininsters decieve and they lie to the iranian people in the open. They deny their own words, as if people can not remember. Their economical policies have destroyed the iranian economy, using the printing machine. Rohani and his pro western government has been a disaster for the iranian people and the sooner they are removed and hanged the better.
While in Iran I kept asking peolple whether or not they would like RATIONING to be introduced like it was during the war with Saddam, and every single person I asked said YES! As they said with rationing they at least will be guaranteed to have the main necesities of life.
What Iran needs to do is to cut all relations with the west including the eu. We no longer have any need for the west. What we need, we can get from the east!
I agree-the EU only represents the knife in the back, and cynically vicious duplicity, at the orders of Tel Aviv.
The EU is a slave entity controlled by its Zionazi overlords. They are Iran’s enemies following diktat from Tel Aviv communicated by CRIF etc. They are, moreover, cynically duplicitous hypocrites, pretending to aid Iran and stand up for International Law in the face of the Zionazi Exceptionalist Empire, but that is a particularly vicious pretense.
No that is exactly what the USA wants. An excuse to attack and any excuse will do.
The promise of “if attacked we close it” is much more effective. It draws the line clearly. If the USA starts intercepting Iran’s tankers (i.e. piracy) then that would be an unofficial declaration of war by the USA.
Make things clear but don’t go first!
There must be something behind the scenes that is scaring parts of the administration to death, and the only mechanism of communication to this frighting scenario, is to sanction the country’s whom they have no power over. The threat to arrest here, equals a sanction over there, the threat to appeal an arrest, equals a bomb over there.
They simply cant stomach losing power while no one is looking, they have to make a statement or two, or three, or even four.
But the ranks are thinning, the congress has declared a constitution crisis, the political scene is falling apart right before their eyes, and the democrats and parts of the administration have only so many options at their disposal, financial war being the second to last, and outright war being the last.
What is ‘behind the scenes’ about the USA’s social, economic, intellectual and spiritual collapse, the rise of China and the obdurate resistance of Russia, and the accelerating ecological Holocaust?
There is. It’s Venezuela and the failed coup. US needs more crude oil and it’s becoming desperate.
The fracking Ponzi scheme is about to collapse, so ‘Bye-bye Saudi America’. Up goes trade deficit, and the Government deficit is also bound to reach two or three trillion per year once the next recession hits. The whole rotten edifice is just needing a good shove, from fate or internal social violence, and down it will all go-probably taking us all with it.
Iran must stand. The allies must help.
Why couldn’t Russia and China issue a joint statement to the west, Great Satan, to the effect that no attack on Iran will be tolerated? Why not outright prevent the attack? Why would they wait for the country to be bombed back to the stoneage and then come to assist to defend and rebuild?
Would the Great Satan allow any nation to bomb Canada, Britain, Israhell, or any of it’s vassals? I know it more complicated, no good country should have to give it’s young men to war to constantly defend against these demons in DC, but how to stop this evil?
It is occurring almost in duplicate, of the 3 branches of gvt, the justice and the administration, are corralling the 3rd branch, the houses of congress, into a pen. These wild animals of congress are fighting fiercely and some uncontrollably and are difficult to reason with, they have become the study of human denial. Not only that, they themselves are controlled by many other interests, and as those interests lose financial control over their own affairs, the boiling point is reached and chaos ensues.
We are at that point in American politics, fools being deceived by fools, confidence men being conned by confidence men, they spend more time trying to figure out what is going on and what went wrong, that they have abandoned their responsibilites to the citizens.
We’ve had 35 school shooting since last fall, education has become a painful joke as today’s kids see the ones before them in a hopeless situation, and know this is really what awaits them. A greater proportion are seizing their parents fire arms and taking today’s future into their own hands right here, right now.
The system (or the problem) has no answers, so it ignores their problems, as if they had the time to address them with all the chaos surrounding their in ability to manage themselves.
Its real hell over here, the ones who can, are threatening to leave, the rest are just being fattened up for slaughter.
Russia and China will never intervene because they are stone cold pragmatists.
Whichever way you view it, unless there interest are directly threatened they would allow Iran to be weakened by the empire to a point where Iran will accept a position of junior partner from them and they have a chance to finally encompass Iran. Something that will never happen.
During Iran Iraq war, did any of these nations supported Iran even when it was obvious Saddam was the aggressive party? In fact, they all supported Saddam in one way or the other because they don’t want another emerging power competing with them in running the affairs of the world.
Call me conspiracy theorist but the fact remains these nations are still been led by materialists who assessed human relationship on the basis of cost and benefits (economic advantage). In the present world, they don’t owe Iran anything that could compel them to come to its aid.
That is the reality of our modern world, if you want to survive and be respected you must learn how to stand on your feet come what may.
On the bright side at least the fools errand embarked upon by westoxificated Iranians will finally be eliminated after their gamble has finally driven their nation to the brink of catastrophe.
You may be right, but if your nation was to so called “go down”, and you could exact a price from the perpetrators, wouldn’t at some point in time you play that/those card(s)? And if by playing that/ those card(s), you would inadvertently hurt Russia or China, would it then be in Russia’s or China”s interest to come to the aid of any said country?
Back in the 80’s the stakes were not so high economically, so to use that as a model today would not have as much relevance. Closing the straights is a big gamble for all country’s involved, no matter the outcome. Everyone keeps raising the stakes and calling the possible bluffs when reason could have ruled the day, that day is long gone, common sense is now questionable, the consequences still have yet to be payed.
What will they do? Interesting times indeed.
@I have a hard time believing even the idiots in Washington are this stupid.
I bet you have. They are insane. Mad furious. Collective senile dementia. Dements ‘resist’ and ‘refuse’ any attempt to care for them.
after sixty plus years of spreading mayham geopolitically who or what is behind so called ”us” power to do so as such?…there is no karma here in play …it always gets away stock free …to blunder some body else or region…surely why no one who cares about these sort of things haven’t asked this question?..surely something is amiss …who or what is the ”us” and who or what is the power behind this entity called ”us”…it is a definitely a hunger game, on…financially, technologically,,militarily, geopolitically, informationally, traditionally, commercially, economically some so far unknown entity or power has put these psychopaths in control and keep the hunger game on..everything changes every four or eight years but essentially all remain the same.,welcome to the jungle..havea good day geopolitically, if you can.
@Anon, the one who complained that: “some so far unknown entity or power has put these psychopaths in control”…
Not at all an unknown; that malignant power is well known throughout the ages. For the past 180 years it has been named Capitalism; known today, more specifically, as Anglo Zio Capitalism. The cure is Socialism; more widely, Social Consciousness.
“The love of money is the root of much evil”. — Old Testament
“You cannot serve both God and Mammon”. — New Testament
DNGM
“Capitalism; known today, more specifically, as Anglo Zio Capitalism. The cure is Socialism; more widely, Social Consciousness.”
And lots of rope. ;-D
Like you really don’t know who’s in control of the purse strings?? Ever here of Coutts Bank Of London? That’s the Queens private bank. Try putting your money on deposit there….lol! Ever here of the Bildeberg group? Ziocentral. One only need to look at the list of attendees. The entire planet’s destiny is controlled by about 3000 people. Less than.01% of the .01%ers. I learned that from Scholnick. Had it confirmed by a relitive who happens to work as a forensic actuary, for a private English Bank. He gets to travel the world counting the Empires scheckles………cause two sets of books won’t do. And he doesn’t do weekend trips. His entire family is moved abroad for years, private schools for the kids, free housing for all.
If I remember, Coutts requires one billion on deposit, just to get in. Pappi Bush was a major shareholder, go figure. And, again, it all come back to the scheck! That’s why each and every person who is ‘against’ empire needs to really get their spending habits under severe conroll. Ditch the material world of buying ‘things’ just to have ‘things’, ask yourself, ‘the neighbour has it, but do I really need it too?’ Leave the Jones’ to themselves, they require pity, not envey.
well that maybe the brits part, but these sort of bits and parts have been in the so called ‘alt’internet for some time now…we can go on for ever..it is the illuminati,it is the bildrberg,it is the neocons,it is the cabal,it is the zios,it is the muslims,it is the evangelists,it is the intel agencies, but the top dog is the ‘us’ and some other entity still unrecognised that holds it all together for continuous blood shedding.
Guess you missed the part about the names on the list………..it’s hidden in plain sight, one can defer to the ‘it’s a whole bunch of alphabit names’, blah blah. Bilderberg is international, all zionists…………..no rocket science needed. It’s only unrecognized if one fails to see the trees in front of the forrest.
Follow the mammon trail,
if you dare!
There’s a scheckle here,
there’s a scheckle there,
here there and everywhere,
…………….a scheckle!
well, it might be true if you only consider the ‘five eyes ” powers ,but the east or mideast is not actually controlled by these evils, they have their own psychopaths in the east like in n.korea where most of the population are basically slaves to the centre, and china has muslims in concentration camps.
the sum is greater than the parts,we haven’t even considered the esoteric part yet, what if all religions are part of the game of hunger?…and what about the AI and the part google ,Facebook and twitter play in bending the humanities mind?
maybe we are out of our depth here,if we consider we are completely lost, than maybe we will find a way out of this hunger game.
Anomalous, hasbara, garbage. North Koreans are NOT ‘slaves’ and there are NO ‘concentration camps’ in Xinjiang. Pure, mendacious, racist, disinformation.
And whom did The Red Pimpernel risked his life to save?
The 1%!
@.have a good day geopolitically, if you can.
I do, I have the Entity by the hand, keep your enemies close, and the spirit of darkness, Ahriman, closer, and life falls into place.
yes you might be right, like the late dr.bohm and j.k krishnamurthi agreed the crisis is in the consciousness ,if i heal myself i am not part of this sick society anymore.
You really need to stop handling your ‘Entity’.
great report – thanks Aram Mirzael
The EU ia a bunch of abject cowards and hypocrites, and Iran must cease listening to their bullshit!
They wasted no time in saying how much they “reject” the “ultimatums” issued by Tehran, yet this same group of cowards allowed the US to tear up the JCPOA without nary a word.
And when after Trump tore up the UNSC-sanctioned agreement, a response came from the EU – to my recollection – the words used were: “disappointment” and “regret”.
Why didnt they at the time, or since, say that they “reject” the unilateralism of Washington?
It seems such harsh words or reserved for use only against countries like Iran, who for 1 full year, has remained faithful to the agreement, despite being denied the benefits promised under it.
Iran has been more than patient, if in 60 days these cowards cant deliver, then Tehran must continue to withdraw from the agreement and take up “battle formation” as advised by the Supreme Leader.
The EU is willing allowing the US – acting on behalf of Israel- to drag the bloc into a military confrontation with Iran.
Iranians will never bow, it is the US that will lose in any confrontation with Iran.
Selah
The saddest thing about Iran is, that people in the west don´t hear the voices of the real iranian revolutionaries. If they did, they would know, that they are all in OPPOSITION to the iranian government. The Rohani government, the Khatami government, the bastard Rafsanjani government all deserted from the revolution and its ideas and decided to seek cooperation with the west, while the revolutionaries have always been shouting, that the revolutions strength has always come from its opposition to the same. The fact of the matter is, that the revolutionaries in Iran have been sidelined in every aspect of the political life being it cultural, education or TV. The iranian national television is an antirevolutionary FACTORY. You wouldnt believe to what length they go to destory the nations believe in the revoltuion! The universities are controlled by antirevolutionaries and produce the antirevolutionary elites, that are doing their best to destroy the country. While I was in Iran, I watched a debate between an iranian revolutionary and the head of the organ, that produces the university book, which are used in the countrys universities. The revolutionary guy kept saying, that these books were antirevolutionary and out right degeneret, that almost everything revolutionary was removed from them, that they praised writers copying western sexuality, while belitteling revolutionary writers….and so on. You should have seen his counterparts eyes, it is on tape as the saying goes, if eyes could kill! In the end the other guy having no argument just said, that well we just print them! And I said to my self, that the antirevolutionary print the books, the antirevolutionary teachers teach them in the universites and then they produce antirevolutionary graduates destroying the country for the glory of the west! What I havent told you so far is, that the head of the publishing organ for the iranian nation defending his antirevolutionary books was a CLERGYMAN! Believe me sometimes I thought, I was living on some other planet while in Iran, because what I heard and saw was out of this world!
The revolutionaries have lost control of the cultural life in Iran and as E. Michael Jones points out in his “Jewish revolutionary spirit” sooner or later a revolution will follow, which has already been tried! The fact of the matter is, that antirevolutionaries in Iran are getting stronger and stronger. They have gathered enough power for trump to say, he will destroy the iranian economy within two months and on the clock the infiltrators and traitors do his bidding destroying almost 40% of the value of the iranian currancy!
While over there I came to know a shopkeeper, who showed me a pack of toiletpaper and said, that last year he baught the paper for 2100 rials and was sold it as the factory had set the price for 3100 rials. He then showed me the pricetag and said, now they sell it to him for 2200 rials but the price for the consumer was suddenly 3800 rials! The manufacturers are creating artificial inflation, that only has one goal, which is destroying the economy, creating dissatisfaciton and anger within the population towards the revolution!
The fact of the matter is, that the iranian elite is delibrately mismanage the country, maybe for some money in a Swiss bankaccount to be had when the job is done or the promise of a future greencard, who knows, but that is the reality in Iran. Meanwhile the revolutionaries are standing on the sideline and play opposition, and their argument is, that people have chosen Rohani! If they keep playing opposition we will loose everything!
The curse of democracy, freedom and all that worthless jazz!
I too believe, we can stand againt the usa and hopefully we will be victorious. I am glad, they waited 40 years to do so, because we are more than ready for them now. But we need to create generations of revolutionaries after generations of revolutionaries to do so!
The EU invertebrates do PRECISELY what their Zionazi Masters order, but, being world-class poseurs and hypocrites, they always pretend otherwise-then they obey.
Aram, Syrian army needed some real R&R after continued intense war for so many ears. So, I am happy for them as they really needed that. It seems that Russian Special forces is in it as well. Iran is talking to Russia and Turkey about circumventing the sanctions. Turkey is said to be ready to surrender to US on the S-400 issue. I guess Turkish Lira keeps dropping.
“Tehran has nothing more to lose than it already has here, why remain in a deal that leaves Tehran without the deterrence of nuclear weapons and still be sanctioned?”
Iran isn’t pursuing nuclear weapons and has long ago correctly determined they are not necessary:
Ayatollah Khamenei’s Opinion on Nuclear Issue
http://english.khamenei.ir/Opinions/tnuclear
“We are not after nuclear weapons. And this is not because they are telling us not to pursue these things. Rather, we do not want these things for the sake of ourselves and our religion and because reason is telling us not to do so. Both shar’i and aqli [related to logic and reason] fatwas dictate that we do not pursue them. Our aqli fatwa is that we do not need a nuclear weapon either in the present time or in the future. A nuclear weapon is a source of trouble for a country like ours – I do not want to expand on this matter.”
Nuclear power and tech independence – yes. Nuclear weapons – no.
I’ll add that DPRK defeated the usa and it’s puppets in 1953 when she did not have nuclear weapons and they did. That DPRK might have few nukes now is not what is preventing zionazia staging Korean War Mk. II, it is the realization by zionazia that they cant win there.
Other than that last section quoted, this is an excellent article.
So the best way to defeat the Yanks is to let them kill millions of your own people and then what, you win? Yikes! That explains the lack of fear on the Russian side, totally. No offence intened btw.
“So the best way to defeat the Yanks is to let them kill millions of your own people and then what, you win?”
No, the best way is to prevent the war happening. Do you really think Iran could aquire a credible deterrent before israeloamerica attacked them, using the propaganda that “Iran has nukes”, like the sods did against Iraq? The few nukes Iran could build would not prevent a zionazi attack, they would hasten it. And should Iran use a nuke to defend themselves, what do you think the response would be?
1. Oh, Iran used a nuke, we better make a run for it and leave them alone.
2. Massive retaliation that turns Iran into a radiated wasteland devoid of vertebrate life.
Iran doesn’t need or desire nuclear weapons. It is the israelis and their gofers who want Iran to pursue these. Stop and think for a minute why.
The Zionazis possess nukes, mostly, reportedly, neutron bombs that kill living creatures but leave precious property undestroyed. They also have extensive bio-warfare and chemical weapons capacities. And, as the Yesha Council of Rabbis and Torah Sages, an influential Talmudist group associated with those Judaic Taliban, the illegal ‘settlers’ on the West Bank, declared in 2006, as Israel was bombing Lebanon ‘back to the Stone Age’, according to Judaic religious law, killing civilians is not just permissible, but is, in fact, a mitzvah, or ‘good deed’. And the Zionazis have long threatened to ‘..take the world down with us’, in a nuclear winter, the ‘Samson Option’, as punishment for a ‘Jew-hating world’ as one Zionazi worthy put it in 2002. The theocrats in Tehran are markedly less blood-thirsty.

The US and Iran Flex Their Muscles. The Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) One Year after US Withdrawal

The zionazi-gays are bluffing and Iran knows it. Iranian moves are measured and intended to get the eu to grow a spine.
Sad that EU still sucks the USA all day long. Despite lunatic-in chief Trump and Neo-Imperialist British freemasons slandering EU with every insult under the sun and threatening it with sanctions for everything from trading with Cuba, stopping them getting their own Gold back, to not letting anglo sell GMO crops. EU is like a wife with a drunk abusing husband who still stays with him.
Tehran, Moskva and Beijing, cites of ancient civilisation and trade. A new mode of society based on the best of pre-Marxist socialism, Silk Road capitalism, and religion. Compared to the mentally and physically ugly obese yankees and english hooligans with such values as genocide and peadofilia.
The door is open for EU but they refuse. If USA does do something like attack Venezuela or Palestine, EU better come to its senses fast.
The Iranians know that the driver for war is Israel and they accuse Mossad and the CIA of working together to drive the US into a war.
These secret services are accountable to nobody and Trump could easily be fooled into starting a war based on lies. The US has been guilty of this in the past.

Tomsk, the fervour with which Satan-yahoo seeks not just to destroy Iran in a New Purim, and slaughter as many millions as possible as mitzvot offered up to his psychopathic ‘God’ (himself, thinly disguised, of course)and destroy the careers, reputations and lives of any in the West who dare question or criticise Zionazi brutality, is intensely psychopathic. But the manner in which his life’s work makes Israel so justly and increasingly detested throughout the world, and makes it so vulnerable to destruction itself, in some sort of apocalypse, when living in peace and comity with the Palestinians and Israel’s neighbours is possible, is truly deranged.
I suspect an intense self-hatred, probably inculcated by his monstrous father, projected onto others, and expressed as a Masada Complex where the lunatic seeks self-destruction for himself and his people, is at work. Plus a type of perverted survivor guilt at not being a victim of the Nazi Judeocide, hence the compulsory imposition of the ‘Holocaust’ pseudo-religion, not only on the Israelis themselves, wretchedly combined with not just a refusal to learn the lessons of the genocide, but in fact a diabolical desire to inflict a similar fate on others as an act of raw vengeance. And the imposition of this pseudo-religion on the world, particularly the Western slave regimes, plus the truly vicious drive to make Zionazi race and xenophobic hatred of the Palestinians and Moslems in general, mandatory in the West, and any refusal to join in punishable by political and social death as an ‘antisemite’. It is a project of such exquisite wickedness that it boggles the mind.

No offence but what FB said is based on experience, it’s been over a year that US quit the deal and the EU have been all promise but no show.
Some will say it is due to being bullied by Washington but I would argue it is because the risk they felt is not worth it and let’s be honest what leverage do they have over their private sector to force them to invest in Iran compared to America market. This are western capitalist for crying out loud
Maybe some medium scale industries but won’t those ones want to enter America market later on? Then how to get fund across.
So for me I don’t see Europe offering much help but lip service, Iran should rather settle for Russia and China assistance for now but that too will also come with a cost, realpolitik.
The only other option is to increase the tension for Trump in the middle east towards election time but that too can be dangerous and please don’t trust the iraqi politicians, when push comes to shove they are unreliable except maybe those that belongs to PMU factions.
Whichever way one see it Iran is in for a long siege, but they will survive because it is a big and resourceful nation with a proud history. Surely couldn’t be as worse as that of Venezuela and Cuba.
Mr. Mirzaei is absolutely right. Many of us never trusted Trump on any aspect of JCPOA. Nor, did we ever believe that the EU would firmly oppose US changes. The EU is a gutless lot. Trump is a notorious blowhard. Iran has every reason to resume its nuclear program. They should have done so a year ago and never extended the time for EU delay. Iran has been a good friend to Syria and Komeini will continue as such. Russia and Syria should e unrelenting in retaliating against the SDF, Kurds, Turks, and Israelis. After all, Syrian territory is entitled to be inviolate against those who have no permission to be there. As a close ally, China should join them. Hezbollah is contributing mightily as an invitee. The others are all aggressors and should and can be driven out.

You made a good point about raising the cost so that those countries could come to Iran’s aid, but what would that cost be? Economic maybe because if the Strait got closed it will not spare Chinese economy too.
No doubt about getting their supplies of oil from Russia but such dependence is something a powerful nation like China would always wanted to avoid. But back to your point, they can’t eat there cake and have.
If they want a multipolar world less dominated by America they have to recognised that Iran is pivotal to such world emerging and would have to start seeing Iran’s security as there security vis visa. In the 80’s they were clouded by there judgement thinking the empire will accept them as partners, but the empire’s got no partner but minions.
I am not saying they should rush headlong militarily into war on the side of Iran, contrary to what most believe, Iran and its allies can hold there own against the US albeit with enormous casualties. But it would do if they can support Iran with there veto at the UNSC by blocking any anti Iran resolutions and supply Iran with necessary hardware with the awareness that the outcome of such war will have a great implication on Eurasia integration (BRI AND EAEU) and emergence of a new order.
And as Iran has effectively threatened Europe that they can no longer bear the cost of the over 3 millions Afghanistan refugees in their country (something used to deadly effect by Edorgan) and the cost of the drug war which they have been a shield for Europe.
Seems Iran have started targeting EU soft spot, which is a welcome development. Hit them where it hurt because it is the only language those barbarians in suit understand.

Russia was a bipolar power with veto in the UNSC and a numerous nuclear warheads but look at the pathetic condition it found itself in the late 80s and almost throughout the 90s until Vlad came to the rescue.
Pakistan is a nuclear armed state on the brink, the best way to defend your nation is not to let the Yankee killed millions of your citizens but it is also not to embark on nuclear weapons development. Why not try this recipe in order to defend your country; develop your conventional weapons to the hilt, put the Yankees strategic assets under missile range as ransom, develop your human and natural resources, diversify your economy, get into alliance with some real allies and get a good leader to pilot the affair of your state.
When you give the led a sense of honour they will defend their country to death, no need wasting hard earned and scarce resources on weapons of mass destruction. Besides if it is so easy to raid a nation which has no nuclear weapons, Iran would have been bombed back to stone age fourty years ago.
Much touted AEGIS air defence system can’t track a modern missile
One wonders how secure American naval and ground assets really are from a potential missile attack. Based on this recent combat test in early May, I would argue not very much at all… This military disadvantage could be the key to deterring the U.S. from starting a war. 🇮🇷 🇺🇸
