I have been so busy lately that I can keep writing sarcastic essays… I do need all my sarcasm to survive in the “environment” I am working on, doing extra hours nonstop, same as in any of the other two, or three mini-jobs I have. I am working seven days a week, 16 hours a day, in order to get as much money as possible and avoid having to choose between dying of hunger or dying of freezing… I suppose I will die of exhaustion; the good thing is I will be so tired I will hardly notice anything(1).
Because I am a recognized Putin-lover, Russian propaganda apologist, Ukraine hater, anti-democrat, racist, chauvinist, misogynist, fascist right winger(2). I am suffering a constant bulling. On the last months especially about all related to the “Russian-Agression-War” in the Ukraine, as they like to name it. A constant bombardment of comments, defamation, blame, offenses, and not-so-veiled insults, against me, from which I cannot reply or defend myself, because if I try to do, you see, this is a clear proof (for them) that I am everything they named me.
They justify this harassment by pointing out that, they just try to help me, correct me, bring me to the good way, rescue me from my wrong ways of thinking. Off course, they are in possession of the One-and-Only-Truth. And they use the MSM as if it were the Foundation of all their assumptions(3). News, analysis and essays of “renowned” western military analysts and organizations, retired generals giving their master speeches on TV debates or interviews(4).
On the other side they try to show me (apparently in good faith) how bad the things are for the Putinist Ruskies with videos of russian destroyed vehicles, russian casualties, russian brutalities… they are so ignorant that (they have no idea really) what they are trying to show me, it is just fake, or edited, or old and unrelated to the facts, or simply the opposite of what they think it is happening. They are not able to differentiate the combatants, or the equipment. Nor are they able to research, compare or look for other sources (All this requires time and effort) to confirm the news or clear the apparent disparities. Sometimes I just saw the same pics or videos days before, with more context, unedited, and as I said, they tell a different story.
Oh man! They are quite good believers of their “religion” and are just trying to convert me to their mindset and beliefs(5) which I see with utter disgust and contempt. Convert or be bullied non stop.
I am afraid of what tomorrow might bring, the bulling is going to be off the scale. Because I have read today that the russian army is going to retreat to the left bank of the Dniepr, abandoning the right bank (including the city of Xerson) in order to consolidate defense lines and create reserves for future offensive operations(6)… what a thread for the News, what a bonanza for Psyops, what a gold mine for Propaganda and Misinformation. I see rough days ahead.
I fear that tomorrow the crows are going to be awaiting to pick at my eyes, while saying “we told you so… bad, bad, bad boy”. But I will not falter. I will stand straight. I will keep using my gray muscle, observe and wait(7) because this SMO is a war in all but name, a small war inside a Big War. And I think they are all for a surprise sooner or later.

- I do have the great luck of living and working in Germany, where the burghers accept without a glimpse the 6 times increase in their bills of gas, 3 times increase in their bills of electricity and a rampant inflation of (officially) about 10%. I can only say that my cart at the supermarket with the usual things cost me now at least 50% more than last year… 10% inflation, yeah sure.
- I couldn’t keep my mouth shut given the occasion in the past, specially when trying to point the inconsistencies of what they say, the dissonance of their ideologies, or simply inform people that you considered nice, friends or family… No more nice people for me, no more friends and I am not sure anymore I do have some family. I am just a f*cking pro-russian-orc for them all. If I die tomorrow, I better die in my grave, because nobody will bury me.
- The degree of ignorance and intoxication is astounding. They believe everything they see or hear or read in the MSM. They swallow the narrative in full. Nobody questions anything no matter the discrepancies. The people in general are ideologically possessed, completely irrational, unable to have a normal discussion or simply accept that you have another opinion. Data and facts don’t matter anymore so long they contradict their learned (or imposed) narrative. A scientifical and rational approach to some questions is impossible under the circumstances, and considered witchery… trying to start one only produces at the minimum: hate and irate looks, at the maximum: violence and rage accompanied with foam in the mouth, to the point that sometimes I fear for my personal integrity. I am sure there should be rational people somewhere… but I haven’t been lucky so far.
- What can I say, MSM feeds that only can be compared with cow manure, Institutes and think tanks with experts that wouldn’t be able to win a not-so-serious debate with a retarded village idiot; retired generals that should be better being taken care off on a nursing home for elderly persons, or military analyst that never served in any army, nor studied anything serious (I wonder why are they called military or analysts, that is some kind of oxymoron) and whose only informational sources are open ones of dubious reputation, third hand invented or regurgitated propaganda from psyops specialists from the deepest deeps of the “Deep State”
- Yes, they are just zealots, fanatics of pseudo-religions be there Climatechangers, COVIDers, Greenpeacers, or believers in “Elf-Land-Ukraine” the paradise on Earth.
I have good news for you if you are interested in becoming a member, a believer. It is very easy, you have to start by switching off your brain, leaving it somewhere, and then forgetting where you left it. You wouldn’t need to think anymore, they will do it for you. Unfortunately, brain usage is a SIN in all those pseudo-religions, and severely punished if you are one of them.

Well, I do think Funny Man you might well find many kindred spirits here. I have a feeling of amazement, that which marked synchronicity brings, that I left my bed tired of tossing and turning, worrying about why I felt irritability at so much on the IT, a snappy feeling unlike the person I know as me, and here I find you expressing all my thoughts. So – thank you for that :-)
It’s been an interesting, if uncomfortable, experience. Such an experiment, watching so many people from a few nations, reacting to the various insanities. it’s amazed me how so many who knew nothing of biology, microbiology, scientific method, suddenly became “”experts””, yet accepted the utterly ludicrous claims of contagion and pandemic, and proceeded to castigate and vilify anyone who dared to say “” I say, this isnt quite right”. Now it’s a war in a nation most couldnt find on a map with both hands, suddenly all armchair warriors, quick to “”know”” exactly what Russia should be doing and crowing in delight at their own ignorance, unaware that that is exactly what they are doing.
So we see that probably 95% of the mass of people are what I have come to think of as “”other referencers””, that is that their first and most common response to any situation is to check what everyone else thinks/says/does so they can follow suit.
I have been reminded of a paper I read a couple of decades back – I cant find it anywhere now – of something the Japanese knew back in 1944/45. As Japan was facing defeat, and becoming desperate for men, they wanted to take the PoW camp guards, but were afraid of thousands of PoWs running loose.

For what you are referring to Tedder, there have been a few studies – a great one out of Renslaur {sp??} showing that it only takes 10% of a population to take an idea / idealogy on board – I mean really take it to heart – to have effective change on society.
They graphed a few instances which trickled along for decades under the 10% getting nowhere. Then the acceptance went above 10% and the widespread acceptance of the ideology and the change in the society went exponential and more.
But it would, in theory anyway, only take one of the Dominant 5% to start off holding a meeting in a phone box, as we used to say. it grows from there.
I read about the Japanese guards too. It was in a Colin Wilson book. I am not sure which but it may have been “The Outsider”. He might have been arguing there that this 5% of self-possessed and self-actualising individuals or goats among the sheep, were examples of his Outsider. It is clearly getting worse and worse – I had to stop watching the TV news a few years ago, for the benefit of my mental health (screaming at an inanimate object is usually considered a sign of mental illness). Now I keep away from “official” news altogether – it makes me a happier man, and better informed paradoxically. At least as far as any significant news is concerned – I will seek out the truth myself using a variety of sources. Yes, that can bring you to strange places, and you need to remain critical and vigilant. But it is possible to keep yourself informed – not so through the MSM.

I live in Germany, I can confirm that this is true. At the beginning of the war there was on one side more enthusiasm, on the other some dissent, both are gone now but dissent has become treason. It’s frightening and dusgusting!

Your story is similar to mine! It is impossible here in Canada to express an opinion other than the lies that the media offer us every day. I cannot argue with friends, nor with family members. I made the mistake of being frank at the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, and I feel that now there is a division between me and them that doesn’t make me feel comfortable in their company anymore. I have great admiration for President Putin, for his ideas and for the moral courage he has in carrying them out, and I wish Russian soldiers a great victory in Ukraine.

Luckily I have a few people IRL on side. They are Russian, Chinese and Iranian friends mostly, and luckily my life partner. Other close friends are open minded but just don’t have time to know more and the stream of lies is extreme and the Russophobia so embedded in culture for years now, they don’t know how to see it in themselves. But for the rest what you describe is relatable.
I have been an activist involved in many effective campaigns for a number of years, so I’m already on the radar. My FB has been blocked without explanation. I’m m not on twitter… but I know I would have been deplatformed long ago, my partners Flicker account with thousands and thousands of fotos and millions of views was deleted during the lockdowns.I know my Whatsapp is being monitored, I get suspicious phishing related to ‘private’ messages on Whatsapp trying to monitor my activity on telegram. When I tried to join VK all of a sudden I got a call from an unknown Italian number, and then they just hung up. Too many ‘ coincidences’ to be only paranoia.
If I wasn’t recovering tight now from getting sick, I would definitely be organizing. It’s really hard not to, but I am forced to put health first. So in the meantime I just do a lot of deep reading and research.
What you say is true in Canada also. The zombies are captured by the avalanche of lies fed to them since they were born. There is no truth here anymore. But there is a sizable minority here who see through the bulls**t. Will they prevail? Sadly, I don’t see it happening. Mit dem Ende des sogenannten Sozialismus sah das Kapital keine Veranlassung mehr den Sozialstaat aufrecht zu erhalten. Das Ergebnis sehen wir jetzt.

I was lucky enough to go on vacation in the then Soviet Union. I have only met friendlier people in Asia so far.

I have cultivated a tight circle of friends with whom I speak and correspond. These people, few in number, see the big picture which helps them understand what Russia is trying to accomplish in that territory called the Ukraine. I have one cousin and her husband in this circle. The rest of my family and all of my associates and acquaintances are outside the circle. They fall into two groups: those who could not careless about what is transpiring in the Ukraine, and those who hate President Putin, Russia and now, regrettably, me. The former group will not know what is happening until the missiles come raining down or until the economy collapses and brings with it hardship. The latter are so void in their souls that they have invited in a thrall of ideological hate. They are incorrigible!!! I soldier on, knowing full well that my voice does not have even the power of a minnow fart in a Louisiana backwater. For the moment, at least, the power to resist the Collective West lies with the Russians. May they prevail for their sake as well as for ours; for here in Mordor, we have no voice!!!

The last 8~9 months has been, for me, a very difficult time. The ability to speak my mind is under constant attack. Many people state they are in favour of “freedom of speech” as long as your speech matches the “official” narrative. Differing viewpoints are absolutely not acceptable. I now ask anyone that appears to want to “discuss” the Ukraine-Russia subject to tell me their opinion in one sentence. Most of the time I explain that my opinion is diametrically opposed to the opinion they have just proffered. I tell them if we can have a reasonable, civilized talk I will explain my opinion and give them the same opportunity to support their opinion.
So far, nobody has agreed to this proposal. I will not talk further when it is obvious to me that continuing to talk will only result in an extremely emotional argument without any success in providing an alternate viewpoint. I have avoided many unpleasant arguments by using this simple introduction. Makes my life far less stressful.
I too, live in Canada. I have to agree the vast majority of people I come into contact with are completely brainwashed and marinating in the MSM bullsh*t. Hoping for a change in attitude, not holding my breath.

I am also one of the “lucky” ones from Germany and have to admit how extremely brainwashed most people have become now, especially those, that never took any interest in any social or political issues. Unfortunately the more intellectual ones of leftist flavor are often even more extreme in their unconditional government loyal attitudes, which started to escalate with the Corona crisis.
First time in my life I now hear of colleagues that refuse to do their work because it would support a company producing military products, i.e. military boots – of course this company is a russian one.

Funnyman, you are not alone. I’ve always resented people who tell me what I should think. Maybe that is residue from growing up Catholic. I face the same issues as you in trying to discuss the war against Russia. Otherwise educated and “smart” people believe everything they read and hear from MSM. Putin is evil incarnate, the poor Ukies are fighting to save their “democracy” and sovereignty, etc. It really disgusts me.
I want to understand the truth of what’s going on in the world and no one except myself can do that – of course with help from sites like the Saker. Indeed, the truth shall set us free.

Do not get into an argument! That will not be fruitful.
A few months ago an activist in Canada disrupted a gathering. The only thing he said was, “this is a proxy war”. Really nothing more need be said. It implies that neither Russia nor Ukraine but the US wanted this conflict. One can also refer to the culpability of the EU with its EU Association Agreement and its willful negligence of the Minsk Accords or the expansion of NATO.
I recently talked to a lady in the train about the trains not running on time and I mentioned that it could get worse if there is a shortage of electricity, and she mentioned the Ukraine conflict. I said, one must also consider the culpability of the US, and she said “oh, I didn’t think about that”, perhaps remembering the Irak war of 2003 and maybe Vietnam. But another lady glanced at me fiercely.
One can also frame it as a question. “Is it not so that there is considerable culpability of the West?” Well I don’t know, but if Silvio Berlusconi holds that view … And of course if you are a journalist you may need to toe the line.
