The Earth shifted today in Moscow. Two great civilizations embodied in two superpower nations grew closer than ever. Their leaders signed a new document enshrining their deepening relationship. The Double Helix evolves in demonstrable ways.
President Xi and President Putin signed the multipage document (which clearly indicates more than just a terminology change from the former relationship title to the new one.)
“The comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination”, is the new appellation.
The key is coordination.
http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/2019-06/05/c_138119451.htm
https://vz.ru/news/2019/6/5/981113.html
One of the bases for this coordination is the personal relationship of the two Presidents. Today, in the meeting with the world press for the formal signing of the document, and thirty other agreements of projects and commercial development, President Xi referred to his relationship with President Putin as “my best friend”.
“President Putin has established a close working relationship and deep personal friendship,” he said.

So, atop the strategic coordination is a relationship that is a signal to all the government officials and business men on both sides of the strategic partnership that things are personal, intimate, vital.
President Xi aimed at the Hegemon his most important words:
Chinese President XI Jinping said that the world’s “raise your head” protectionism and the policy of hegemony, Russia and China as permanent members of the UN security Council should make efforts to protect international security.
“Currently, the international situation is experiencing unprecedented over the centuries, profound changes. Peace and development remain the trends of the time, but raise your head protectionism, unilateralism, increasing power politics and hegemonism” – said XI Jinping on Wednesday after Russian-Chinese talks.
According to him, “we have a big hard way to achieve peace and development, we, as a leading world powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and Russia, along with the international community must show a sense of duty, determined to protect the international system (security) under the auspices of the UN, based on international law”.
XI Jinping spoke of the need to solve the problems occurring in “hot spots”, by political means, to safeguard the multilateral trading system.

The other item of high geopolitical importance is the draft agreement signed related to the national payment systems of both nations. Cross border payments for trade settlement can now be in national and other currencies. This allows commercial banks to make independent decisions to join payment systems in either nation.
The ruble and the yuan are the national currencies. And this agreement marginalizes payments in dollars to the sidelines. It sets an example for other bilateral trade these countries conduct that the ruble and yuan are viable alternatives for trade balance settlement.

President Putin focused some of his remarks at world problems, issues that are in the news and concerns of the world.
“Extensively talked about current issues on the international agenda. Confirmed that the positions of Russia and China on key international issues are close or, as diplomats say, are the same.”
https://tass.ru/politika/6512313
Putin continued, “Russia and China are working in favor of peaceful settlement of the crisis in Syria, in favor of stabilization of the situation in Venezuela, remained committed to the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran’s nuclear program.”
On the topics of alleged use of chemical weapons and nuclear weapons, the INF Treaty and unilateral sanctions against Iran, the two leaders agreed:
- Russia and China have called for the examination of cases of alleged use of chemical weapons on a depoliticized basis;
- Moscow and Beijing acted to restore the viability of the INF Treaty;
- Russia and China called on other countries to return all nuclear weapons outside their national territory;
- Russia and China urged Iran to continue to perform its obligations under the AGREEMENT. The two leaders called unacceptable unilateral sanctions of Washington against Tehran.
Space is a high concern of the two leaders. Russia and China will work towards a legally binding international Treaty guaranteeing the absence of any weapons in earth orbit, and will also make efforts to prevent an arms race in space.
Moscow and Beijing reaffirmed their intention to forbid to place in space weapons of any kind, with the aim to prevent security threats around the world.
They issued a joint statement on the subject of the militarization of Space.
“The parties confirm that the Conference on disarmament as the sole forum for multilateral negotiations on disarmament, plays a key role in the negotiations on the international agreement on the prevention of an arms race in outer space in all its aspects”, — stated in a joint statement, the leaders of Russia and China.
It is emphasized that any practical measures to prevent the militarization of outer space are unable to fully substitute international legal instruments on this issue.
It is noted that Russia and China propose to make such a legally binding instrument “on the basis of the Russian-Chinese draft Treaty on prevention of placement of weapons in outer space, the use of force or threat of force against outer space objects”.
Recall that in the United States compared with regular accusations against Moscow and Beijing, ostensibly seeking to militarize outer space, created the U.S. Space Forces, which in the future should become an independent military Department.

One of the more salient agreements signed in Moscow today was a one billion dollar investment fund for Research and Development Innovation. The fund will support projects aimed at development of new technology in key branches of Russian and Chinese economies with the focus on commercialization.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the China Investment Corporation (CIC) will set up Sino-Russian projects, support on-going projects, promote exchanges and cross-border implementation by Chinese and Russian companies.

There was a visit of the two Presidents to the Moscow Zoo where two gift giant pandas now grace a new pavilion. Female Dindin and male Jouy are now resident attractions for Russians and other tourists. They will be living in Russia for fifteen years, but their offspring will belong to China under the gifting agreement.

This is a three-day visit by President Xi that includes the very crucial annual international economic forum at St. Petersburg, (SPIEF).
More news will flow from his speech and the business transactions that will benefit Russia and China from that economic forum.

The inevitable is happening. Euro-Asia is becoming the chief economic power house of the world, something Anglo-American bankers have been dreading for more than a hundred years. With this meeting between Xi and Putin, the Russian-Chinese business relationship, or better said partnership, has been cemented even further.
Russia and China signed a number of bilateral agreements. The chief one is that trade will be conducted in domestic currencies, rubles and yuans. Russia and China have already been doing this for the past couple of years. This agreement did not discard the use of the dollar as such. However, in effect, it pretty much did so. For Washington this is a double headache. Both countries are slowly, but surely, abandoning the use of the dollar. Worse, this is an inspiration for other countries to do the same. Even worse, both Russia and China are preparing to introduce gold backed currencies, accumulating gold. Both are waiting for the appropriate moment to do so. We shall now see how Washington will respond to all of this.
Is it reasonable to speculate that Washington will have few choices in its response, and may not, actually, have a clue as to how to respond? Are t here any brains in DC that have a clue, and also the authority to frame a sensible response? Does DC actually have any pieces on this board, other than nukes?

2016 Trump had the beginnings of the answer when he campaigned on withdrawal from foreign conflicts and investment in infrastructure.
It would have been difficult to build and rebuild our transportation and utilities when energy costs were based on $60/bbl crude. After Bolton and Pompeo are done f$&@ing is into $200/bbl oil, it will be prohibitively expensive to do so.
The war industry benefits from war; we as citizens do not.
‘Citizens’ are fungible, but profits and money are forever. The overlords would welcome war, to cull the ‘useless eaters’, who are growing restive.

I have my doubts if Washington DC has a clue what it has to do. It is looking into gigantic domestic and foreign debts, which cannot be repayed. It is using dollars which are backed by nothing, except the US military. Countries are beginning to discard the dollar, trading in domestic currencies. Others will follow, and Washington will try to prevent this. If it cannot do it, then the dollar will cease to be the worlds reserve currency, and the dollars in use outside the US will return to the US, causing the dollar to crash. All Washington can offer now are threats and nothing else. Very dangerous. It could really do something very foolish. We shall see. However, no matter what it decides, there is one problem it cannot solve, and that are the debts, both foreign and domestic. What will eventually happen ? We shall see. Nothing pleasant I assure you.
What will happen is the cost of living in the U.S. shall continue its upward momentum and be born by the citizen. The citizens std of living will drop and that will all seem normal as they know of no other life.
A cell phone so you can call an uber ride and a couple cupcakes a day are enough to quell any uprisings.
Lone rangers rebels will strike out in various ways against whom ever for whatever reasons and life will continue as it has for quite some time. As was said b4 the golfing storm arrived, I dont think the bad stuff is going to hit for quite a while.
BF, My advice to Americans is that the best thing in life aren’t things. They’re values, principles and ethics.
The real estate sector of the FIRE economy makes up 12.2% of the US economy whereas manufacturing makes up 11.4% of the US economy.
It means that real estate agents and house flippers dependent upon asset inflation bubbles fueled by rising debt create more value than manufacturing.
And then how much manufacturing output is related to expensive crap like the f-35 or zumwalt class destroyers?

Hmm.. How much value is a house you can’t afford to own since your service job doesn’t pay enough? The FIRE Sector’s raping the USA and other advanced economies.
Why should the “Anglo-American bankers” dread the rise of Euro-Asia? They could just switch their HQs to Euro-Asia where the lucre is. After all, HSBC (reputedly the West’s largest bank) originated in Shangahi China.
I would like you to read the following article, where Alistair Crooke talks about the relationship between Russia, US and Israel in the middle east. The question is if will Russia back stab China by following the infamous Kissinger (Rockefeller) plan to separate Russia from China or if Russia will finally be a true friend and ally to China and find its real place in EuroAsia. As we speak China is developing lots of financial incentives in Russia to allure the oligarchy of Russia, which in my belief is the real boss of Russia. If the Russian oligarchy finally turns towards China, Putin (a rubber-stamp, lame-duck president really) will have no choice but follow. I hope it turns out the right way.

Matthiew
Putin “a lame duck president” ? Really ? Russia and China to fall for the old divide and conquer tactic ? Really ? Your comment needs to be revised.
How many times has the moral sewer upon a hill back stabbed Russia? So why would Russia be gullible and back stab China or Iran or Syria?
Israel has no legitimate claim to annexed land and Russia is a supporter of rule of law so why would Russia violate it’s principles for Greater Israel?
Generally, I like Alistair Crooke articles, but that one is garbage.
Matthiew, I strongly suspect that your thesis is simply hasbara disinformation. ‘Divide and Rule’, as ever.
You question whether “will Russia back stab China by following the infamous Kissinger (Rockefeller) plan to separate Russia from China or if Russia will finally be a true friend and ally to China and find its real place in EuroAsia” was answered by China and Russia simultaneously:
Xi: “we have a big hard way to achieve peace and development, we, as a leading world powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and Russia, along with the international community must show a sense of duty, determined to protect the international system (security) under the auspices of the UN, based on international law”.
The ‘lame-duck president’ Putin: “the positions of Russia and China on key international issues are close or, as diplomats say, are the same.”
“Russia and China are working in favor of peaceful settlement of the crisis in Syria, in favor of stabilization of the situation in Venezuela, remained committed to the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran’s nuclear program.”
No, I don’t think Russia will back-stab China. The present Russia+China combo v the US is stable and works just fine.
They not only protect each other’s back and underbelly but also prevent the US from over aggression by putting on the table of risks the prospect for the US of fighting an unwinnable 2-front war – simultaneously in the East of Asia and in the South-West of Asia plus Europe. So the present is what is called a strategic balance. The US is reduced to being a nuisance here and there, all the while engaging in minor but enormously costly wars.
The nullification of the INF treaty is a bluff for both China and Russia to overspend in an arms race. The US knows it will have problems with the countries in which it wants to place its intermediate range missiles. No country, especially in East Asia wants to become a nuclear target. Likewise in Europe and South Western Asia. India is a distant possibility even with tensions between her and China.
There is a second option which China could resort to as a last ditch measure in the remote possibility of Russia stabbing her in the back: rapidly building up her nuclear arsenal to 8000 warheads or more with mirved missiles. I believe China is able to do that within 5 years or less. Likely 3 years if not already done in secret.
If China ramped up her nuclear arsenal and missiles she would already had contemplated MAD warfare with the US. In that scenario, China would have calculated that with her hardy population of 1.4 billion she would win a MAD nuclear exchange with the US (population: 320 million), survive and mitigate a nuclear winter (if it comes about) with her advanced technology and recover faster.
But it is unlikely China would want to go in that direction in the present situation. For one thing, Russia would then want to come to an accommodation with the US in order to balance China.
It was this scenario of a massively nuclear armed China that spooked President Brezhnev of the former USSR to seek detente with the US. Not just Nixon’s rapprochement with China.
The present strategic balance with the US suits China just fine. Even the present trade war is just an irritant since China’s actual economic output is already 30% larger than the US and is no longer dependent on export to the US for economic growth. And the gap is growing bigger. By 2025, China’s economic output would be more than double that of the US. It’s technology would also be far more advanced.
But this scenario of a massively nuclear armed China with even more deliverable ballistic and hypersonic warheads than the US, is unlikely to have been contemplated by the US. The US still think that it could win a nuclear exchange with China based on the its estimate of the present size and technology of China’s nuclear arsenal.
What could make China change her direction, if even secretly so as to sustain the present strategic balance of Russia+China versus the US? The trip wire could well be if China perceives that a war with the US is likely over Taiwan.
In Taiwan, Trump had already crossed many of China’s red lines. That is why I think China could well have already massively increased her number of deliverable thermouclear warheads and the necessary delivery vehicles: Mirved Intercontinental ballistic and hypersonic missiles.
I am compelled to make two points: nukes require enriched fuel, U or Pu. China hasn’t produced enough of either for 8,000 warheads. Japan, with decades of receiving processed Pu from all western countries, still hasn’t accumulated enough to make more than 3000-4000. There is a very good reason as to why both the US and Soviets were able to produce so many. Point #2, It is not Russia that will stab China in the back but China is using current scenario to integrate Russia like an Anaconda does with its prey prior to swallowing. i.e, 100 Million Chinese in Manchura, 6 million Russia in Far East Siberia..u do the math
Good points. Thanks and noted. But I used the term “secretly”. China is on good terms with Iran for a long time and Iran has good uranium deposits. And enriched uranium is a trigger for thermonuclear warheads. And Japan is not China. The term “business at the speed of light” was use to describe China, not Japan even at her heights in the 1980s. And the term “China speed” was never preceded or reciprocated by “Japan speed”.
Thus I believe China now is in a position to massively ramp up her nuclear arsenal and delivery systems, if not already. But she is unlikely and unwilling to go that direction unless threatened over Taiwan. Or elsewhere with nuclear weapons.
As for the Russian Far East, I don’t think that China is now interested. China can accommodate even more population within her present landmass. Overall population density is less than Europe or Japan. And she can gradually bring more land into cultivation, even the deserts, as her technology improves.
So please rest assured. Not only has China not had a history of taking other peoples’ lands, she had already signed away the Russian Far East in perpetuity i.e. “forever” in President Xi’s own words.
So far only farmers invited in by the local Russian government went into the Russian Far East. It is too cold for the Chinese. And Manchuria is vast and have enough land. 140 million people living in 300,000 square miles. Japan is only 143,000 square miles with 130 million people. Population density less than half that of Japan and also have more cultivable land than Japan.
And Chinese population increase have slowed down. So Chinese Manchuria will not be over populated in the future. And the economic growth rate of North East China is over 5% i.e. far exceeding its population growth rate.
So I don’t think there will be any mass migration of Chinese into the Russian Far East. This s just a fear first started by the old fear-mongerer: former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
More likely, Russians will migrate to Chinese Manchuria in the near future where, as far as I know, they have been welcomed, especially the very beautiful Russian women by Chinese looking for wives (not enough Chinese women to go around now)!
BTW, Harbin in Manchuria was built by Russia. It’s architecture is still very Old Russia in outlook complete with onion domes. Russians would feel like in Russia there. Russians should go there and trade and perhaps settle there.
I would like to add up to the conversation and at the same time reply to some of the comments I have received. There was an important interview with Dmitry Peskov who is Mr.Putin’s spokesman on RT. Here are some excerpts from A. Korybko’s opinion:
“President Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov poured cold water all over Alt-Media’s wishful thinking fantasy about Russian-Chinese economic relations during a recent interview with RT’s Sophie Shevardnadze that’s sure to unsettle a lot of their international supporters.”
“No objective observer questions the importance of these two Great Powers’ excellent relations for maintaining stability in the emerging Multipolar World Order, but nor should they exaggerate the true state of their ties with one another either.”
” “The Baikal Water Bottling Scandal Says A Lot About Russian-Chinese Relations”
“Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov officially confirmed that that his country’s economic relations with China aren’t as perfect as Alt-Media presents them as being.”
Peskov said “China is not our partner number one yet. Still, the EU countries are number one for us and I cannot agree with those who say that Russia is turning eastward. No, I hope Russia will never turn eastward. ”
As taken from the above, the key takeaways are that:
* Russia isn’t directly participating in BRI but nevertheless seeks to integrate with it;
* This might explain why China isn’t investing as much in the Russian economy as Moscow expects it to;
* Accordingly, China hasn’t yet replaced the EU as Russia’s number one trading partner;
* Even if it eventually does, Russia refuses to turn eastward but will instead seek to balance East and West;
* And sensing Russia’s lack of geopolitical commitment, some Chinese are now abiding by American sanctions.”
Please stop promoting other sites – breaks moderation policy. Mod.
Matthiew,
You have based your conclusions on an interview with Peskov, where is it is clear that he is taking a very conciliatory approach, after his boss just gave the West the Middle Finger, on D-day no less, by announcing that he is upgrading his relationship with China and that all their bilateral trade will bypass the USD.
Just for your factual information:
On a country basis, China IS Russia ‘s top trading partner. It’s only when you add trade with Germany, Italy, and Netherlands that you get a higher number for the “EU”, but trade is always bilateral.
Trade with the EU countries dropped significantly after Crimea reunification. It is now picking up again. Obviously Russia is keen to keep it on that upward trajectory. ..hence Peskov’s soothing comments about balancing East and West.
Trade with China on the other hand is growing by 25% per year…
‘Matthiew’s job is to pour cold water, as he admits, on Chinese Russian co-operation, because the Real Evil Empire’s greatest fear is Eurasian solidarity against Western aggression. You see ‘Matthiew’s’ type in full flight this week, with the D-Day garbage that it was the decisive battle of the war, that liberated Europe and restored ‘freedom’ to the world, which must have come as news to the still colonised in India and what is now Pakistan, those dying in their millions in the Great Bengal Famine at that very time, all of Africa, various colonial outposts, and among the black Americans, still living under Jim Crow and ever threatened by lynching if they lifted their heads. Not to forget the remnants of the genocided Indigenous in the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. And with the two powers who did the most fighting and dying to destroy fascism and Japanese Imperialism, Russia and China deliberately snubbed and, often openly, insulted, while the representative of the German Nazi successor regime, Merkel, was made most welcome. Then, when Xi and Putin meet and amicably discuss matters, the local sub-fascists went postal in denouncing this ‘Axis’ of autocrats. The last raving rantings of a dying tyranny, that of the glorious West, by far the greatest genocidaires and destroyers in all history.
As soon as I hear ‘Andrew Korybko’ I stop reading…also why would you need to have the dork Korybko mediate the Peskov interview for you…?…Sophie’s program is in English…SMH
As for Alistair Crooke’s article, I read it as I do all his articles, and so I have no idea where you get these ‘conclusions’…which are the exact opposite of what he says…that there is not a snowball’s chance of driving a wedge between Russia and China…
Hasbara, as ever.
The ‘Rumours From The Dark Web’ team have reported that Russia, China, and Iran are already engaged in direct, albeit assymetrical, warfare with the US elite and City of London Black Bank elite who bank roll the deep state on both sides of the Atlantic
(please note that I mean the independent soverign state called ‘The City of London’ aka Square Mile, NOT London the capital of England in the above paragraph).
The Rumours team have mentioned that US/CIA/Deep State Opium transports have been hit both in Afghanistan and Turkey, and that a ship has been hit transporting Opium to the US base in Djabouti.
Most dramatically, Rumours state that the Chinese military have seized a cargo of Gold, Silver, and Rare Earths in Australia which was destined for the London vaults. This what the sudden fuss regarding the Chinese flotilla with 700 Marines and spec ops was all about.
This sort of action is not without precedent as De Gaulle ordered hundreds of troops supported by a Battleship (with guns raised and ready) into New York city in 1971 to seize French gold from the private Fed Reserve which they were arranging to be rehypothecated. Seriously look it up.
Therefore there may be some in what the Rumours team have said, and the plot thickens as thier Youtube channel has been pulled down and Google have delisted thier website (they have hastly gone to a plan B / back up channel for breaking news).
Interesting times we live in.
I see that you have left out a word or words, in your sentence, ‘Therefore there may be some….in what the Rumours team have said,…’. May I suggest that the appropriate words are ‘puerile disinformation bulldust’.
LOL, yes, quite possible, but I always find their ‘Rumours’ fun to read or listen to, and as they had over 10k subs on thier old chanel so did a few other people. To be fair to them, they do always say they they are just reporting rumours and provide no named sources.
What keeps me listening is the prospect of little bits truth amoung the strangeness, and they have scored a few minor hits in the past (but no more than similar ‘Ben Fulford’ and other space cadet type channels).
The disaperance of thier channel only adds to the mistery and fun.
I know the feeling Ian. Gold among the dross, and things are getting very weird. I am still working my way through the sadly defunct Rigorous Intuition site, because each posting opens strange vistas that one never imagined in one’s more lucid moments. As Hunter Thompson said, more or less, ‘When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro’. Even imaginative and professional disinformation can be revealing or even just entertaining. It’s the low-grade stuff, like the Austfailian fakestream media, that annoys and bores.
This is a historic achievement by two great powers. I am particularly impressed by this statement,“The ruble and the yuan are the national currencies. And this agreement marginalizes payments in dollars to the sidelines.”
I hope that both Russia and China forbid their currencies from being traded in the FOREX market. Here is a good read for everyone to learn about FOREX (see: https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/11/why-trade-forex.asp .)
FOREX traders such as investment banks and hedge funds manipulate the intrinsic value of the world currencies to garner a profit. We see this when currency valuations are distorted to service a political agenda on a global scale as well as enrichment for the wealthy mavens of high finance. Russia and China have set the standard with regard to what each other offers in contract settlement for which the money changers must be denied speculative interference that would undermine the payment agreement.
When the Austfailian dollar (aka the Pacific Peso) was floated in 1983, the neoliberal liars and the hapless dupes like Keating et al, claimed that the dollar would find its ‘true value’, thanks to ‘the magic of The Market’, and, thus properly valued, our trade and current account balances would reach equilibrium. In the years since, we have rarely had equilibrium, but, instead, wild fluctuations in the value of the dollar and the trade and current accounts, mostly to the deficit side, building up considerable, and unpayable, debt, all-around.
Trade in the dollar is now c.99% for speculation, ie gambling, much of it rigged in those various ways that the financier parasites have invented, particularly since computerisation. The Austailian dollar is now the fifth or so most traded currency, from the 16th or so largest economy. When the dollar crashed in the early years of the century, our Yankee masters gobbled up much of the stock market at bargain basement prices (80% of mining, for instance, is foreign owned), and at the times when it was vastly over-valued, our manufacturing industry was euthanised. As ever under neoliberal hyper-parasitism, where ‘The Market’ ie the money power of the wealthy consumes the society and commodifies EVERYTHING in life, the situation is a win-win for the parasites and loss-loss for the serfs. AND you get environmental carnage and the ecological Holocaust for just desserts. Oddly enough, most of these consequences were accurately predicted back in ’83 by the Marxian political economists still extant in the Universities, but their presence has been thoroughly purged since.
AUD is considerably weak against all major currencies (inc the asean country). WHY? Whats happening in aussie land? other than the joker (s)election rencently?! Is AUS going ouright and declare bankrupt?! I heard the housing market’s gone near bust and more and more ppl are starting to ‘protest on the streets’. Whats going on down there mate? Has the chinese left china town???! The day will come soon to retrieve the pandas
Retrieve the pandas before hungry bogans eat them.
Just in case your question was genuine, I can tell you that Australia has had uninterrupted growth for 33 years and enjoys near enough to the highest standard of living in the world.
There is significant under employment but not so serious unemployment.
It has an almost adequate social security system. The ethos of equity is strong in the culture.
The economy is and always has been commodities based. Mining and farming. Manufacturing is becoming less and less significant.
We are heading towards an oligarchy with jews now dominating the rich lists, unions subdued, privatisation of state assets has paused but largely happened already.
We have had huge asset inflation but a declining living standard since 2008 and the GFC when our reserve bank was obliged to follow the US FED into low interest rates and high credit creation in order to protect the (low) value of the dollar.
The recent election confirmed that the globalists have not yet won the battle to sew self destruction into our fabfic.
The recent election resulted in a victory for the globalists’ preferred parties, LBD. Surely you don’t think that Morriscum et al will deliver anything but more neoliberalism, money wealth transfer to the rich, more ecological destruction and more subservience to the USA and Israel, starting with a nassty Budget next year, in the tradition of Liberal regimes post-election. Papa says there’s a Depression coming, too.
So true Little Black Duck & Mulga Mumblebrain :)
mate, I am sadden and shock to see Aus been ‘turn into somebody’s b*tch’ that badly…
not even when we were/are under the queen we were that ‘damaged’
I was in Aus under the Howard era and things were ‘interesting’ but all for good laugh at the end of the day
but now the social engineering (pos from USSA 3 letter agency) is plain **** (your choice of word here)
I have just read an article on the china 6/4 again and again those 3 letter agency are so blatantly ‘active’ but the blood is on the ppl of the land… and the falsify fake meory yet to be corrected IN HISTORY
I am quite pessimitic that Aus will be ‘engineered’ when the useful idiots status is used up and toss to the higest bidder
and the young blood of Aussie who cant even tell their left hand from right hand (punt intended) and shown in case by the recent (s)elect another hitler-model prison master
I left there due to personal reason but now I dread to go back there… maybe except Tassie ranges (but I dont think there is a china town there w yum cha)
With china buying out and owning all/most of the ports in Aus – should the illegitimate n30n4z1s show up for the ‘fiery disagreement’
then there maybe ‘The last of Super Serious Laser+Fireworks Show on Earth’ in 4ntarctic4 (as with what the few good men allied failed 70 yrs ago)
May you live in interesting times
May your god be for you and not aginst you
god speed and take care there mates
?, Austfailia is moribund, intellectually, morally and spiritually, a process that began in 1973, and has been driven by no force for Evil more ferociously than by the Murdoch cancer, the greatest wickedness ever to afflict the country (and the UK and USA). The worst regime in our history, sub-fascist, ‘religiously’ hate-driven, incompetent almost beyond comprehension and determined to mine coal until the world fries, was returned, as I suspected after the Trump Cambridge Analytica effort, on a ‘social media’ campaign of vicious lying, just beginning to be revealed, post-mortem as it were. The usual winning combo of greed, stupidity, pig ignorance and hatred of others has triumphed yet again. Now we will reap the whirlwind, our just desserts.
P.S. EVERY opinion poll for three years, AND the exit polls were ALL wrong in predicting an easy Labor win. All polls, all methodologies, all wrong, and the predictions of the Labor vote were out by eight percent. As the pollsters are now saying, these are unprecedented anywhere in the world where the polls are long established and more or less honest. I smell a very big, fat, greasy, Pentacostal, rat, with some clever new election-rigging technology.
What is “intrinsic value”?
Mathias, since there are a lot of Aussies in this discussion, please allow me to try to answer more in depth than I could on my own, by tapping into a soon to be a lot more famous (IMHO) Australian academic I have been studying of late (just this year, never heard of him before that…):
“Money has NO intrinsic value.” is the negative short answer, but much of what it measures…(like your next meal) does have (perishable, temporary) intrinsic value. He explains:
“Something that people don’t seem to understand well is that money is not in itself (i.e. “intrinsic”, says…Bro 93) a valuable. Money is simply a measurement of stored debt. It is a call on society for past exchange. Money is the societal contract we enter into to exchange goods and services and, rather than barter, to be able to put down a marker that we can use to exchange for the things we want later. Money is the marker of us selling into the ledger and then taking back out of it.
Value comes from the things we exchange money for.
Many thousands of years ago, the creation of money came from the ability to store commodity goods and have a ledger value associated with your holdings. In the Bible and other associated documents, a talent is used as a measurement of stored grain:
Shekel (2 bekahs): 2/5 ounce / 11.34 grams — Exodus 30:23
Talent (60 minas): 75 pounds / 34.02 kg — Ezra 8:26
The farmer would need to keep the best seed as 30lbs/13.5kg of seed was used to seed and plant half an acre of land (0.2 hectares). Modern farming is more intensive, and uses nearly double the amount of seed grain.
Starting in the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages, communities created silos that were excavated into the floors of houses not only for the storage of grain in a single year but to save across one year to the next.Storages started to increase in size as towns and villages became larger. The resulting larger granaries served a communal and administrative purpose, and the farmers would be given a tally related to the weight of grain deposited.
The coinage that we see in common use in the ancient world, shekels and talents, originated as grain receipts. Farmers and other producers would store large amounts of grain following a harvest. In addition, farmers produced straw that could be used in the production of bricks. It led to the origin of trade and exchange. Ones who were better farmers continued to farm, whereas others who could now specialise in pottery, creating bricks, and other artisan trades would be able to exchange goods and services for part of the stored food. It is the origin of money. Value stems from the consumed goods that we have within society. Money is simply a call on that set of commodities which we all seek.
Money itself was and is not valuable, what can be obtained through the ledger that is money has value.”
THERE is intrinsic value to be found, Mathias………. NOT in the money, be it silver, gold, Dollars or Bitcoin.
Although, to parse it further silver in an industrial society DOES have intrinsic value in electronics use, as it used to have in photography….and gold is starting to have more such “intrinsic value”…but is still mostly valued as an extrinsic measuring stick….as out of vogue …but coming back into vogue….money.
https://craigwright.net/blog/economics/money-is-a-measuring-stick/
That is material intrinsic value. Then there is immaterial intrinsic value in the capacity of your mind and that of other humans to take (just one example out of millions of others) a black goo (petroleum) formerly a useless, dirty mess and turn THAT also into intrinsic value. Some would prefer that we not be human in that way, but be more “in harmony with nature” like animal species, either are…or soon enough…. are no more.
But I would argue we and our creativity are “natural” too.
Furthermore, as Mulga seems to argue (IMHO…not necessarily his….lol…don’t want to put words in anyone’s mouth….) , if that were done, and mining didn’t exist in Australia…..he and others now “down under” because of parents there or other predecessors….. probably wouldn’t exist either.
Very true and comprehensive answer
and more to that – if money is so important that it ties up and controls EVERYTHING
so much so your current and future happiness and well being and ego and dreams are ‘determine, built, and be valued by it’
why don’t they teach us the ‘value’ of money in school? and also the law that governs ‘money’?
Is that not the most important thing in the working adult life?
Ah you see … ‘money’ in the so-called progressive modern society (artificial and transient construct) is also a chain for slavery
and it absolutely needs Material Reductionist paradigm to ‘support and value’ it.
Say if you taught from young, you are NOT the ‘body being’ and you know distinctively you are a ‘soul being’, say in the ancient spirit focus world (or the new world coming)… and a soul cannot be chained by an artificial made-up BS they tell you its call ‘money’… how to you value ‘money’?
Got’cha Bankster ;) Ponder Deep
Anyway, I heard something from one of the TV show I watch yesterday,
the poor relative said to the rich man cousin,
‘Pass death, you will find out if you are really the boss and if what you said counts!’
Funny but so true :D
It’s a fine picture of Putin. It shows his humanity and humaneness, with a touch of the mischievous. A sort of anti-Bolton.
Panda diplomacy.
Watch the RT video… right at the end Putin is holding an adorable little girl. Her hug is so sweet. I wonder if she is his grand daughter?

it would be awesome if the world could look to China and Russia for the way forward – they are now the leading countries except in Hubris – which everyone living in Hubris still listens to attentively – as ever.
Those Pandas are the closest thing to big dogs – that is possible – so cute – I’m so relieved China adores their treasure – I wish America would adore their wild horses – and Africa their elephants – these animals need space – and humans have to make that space for them.
We are living in very interesting times. You can sense the course of history changing, and the West slowly but surely slipping out of relevance. Europe will need to decide quickly about where its future lies. Logically and sensibly it has to be with Russia and China. Together they can create trade stretching from Beijing to Paris.
Saudi has -?- been developing solid fuler missiles based or developed from Chinese missiles that were sold to them some years ago?????https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7109737/Saudi-Arabia-escalated-ballistic-missile-program-help-China.html
Intel is USA based….there seems to be some kind of reasoning in the article explaining the scenario and relationship with regard to USA and Iran….?

There is one danger I see going forward, not just for Russia and China, but the world. Those two countries along with every other is under the control of the international bankers: BIS, IMF, World Bank. To what degree this is true for Russia and China I’m not sure, but this banking system can pull the plug and make everything come crashing down. And it appears to me this is what they are doing in the west. But, because the entire world is under this banking system, everyone else will feel the pain too. The possible consequences are not pleasant to consider.
This is a key question. Are we seeing a change in world influence with the descent of USA and the rise of China (and Russia to a lesser extent)? Or are we seeing the powers behind the scenes consolidating world control behind the destruction of the Western populations and the rise of the Eastern populations?
China is run by the Chinese. Russia may be a different shtetl of fish.
Interesting times ahead of us, and Larchmonter’s report is, as usual, first rate. I see more and more of this two way support and interchanges, some of it eyes on. For the last three years in this little village we’ve been getting more and more Chinese tourists and visitors. Of note was last year and this year, as we gathered at the south end of Ulitsiya Lenina for the Victory Day Parade and cooled our heels for over three hours, it’s ‘touchy feely’ time, seems like 90% of the parade spectators walk past and through us. Many stop to talk to us about the period vehicles and uniforms and the last two years it’s been a pleasant surprise to talk to Chinese who speak fluent Russian and the moment they understand I speak fluent, after a fashion, English, many of these guests instantly switch to fluent English. How often is one going to meet ‘ordinary’ visitors who are fluent in two additional languages in addition to their native tongue? This shows the extent of education in China. As an aside, it is getting more and more common to meet Russians who speak fluent English, local Russians.
The advances in cooperation between Russia and China are of legendary importance, and I have few doubts that the denizens of Five Points and Langley are loosing sleep over this ‘sudden’ groundswell of friendship. EU will do nothing to assist, and everything to stop, this burgeoning and of world import cooperation between ‘the other two world powers’. Problem with EU is they are vassals, all of them, to Langley in that it seems that the spooks have enough information on every single politician of any import in EU to force them to either tow the line regardless of the damage it does to their country and economy or be dangling from a noose on a lamp post, said dangling compliments of the local citizenry when they find out exactly what these political hacks have done. Think pitchforks and torches at midnight.
For instance, Mutti Merkel will kiss whoever’s butt is polishing the chair in the Oval Office as they are dumping her in her coffin, as will her hand picked successor. Macron is the same predicament, as is the soon to be forgotten May of UK infamy and every single ‘leader’ and mid and upper level politician either in EU or aspiring for membership in EU/nato. Eventually the Germans will lead the charge to break up this oppressive hegemon hanging on their necks for seventy years, and it will be ‘German Big Business’ that does it, just watch and see when the first chink appears in the dike.
Only time will tell how well this cooperation works, but for anyone who cared to look it’s been going on for a while with ever increasing vigor. Now that the gloves are off and the threats and sanctions are flying against both Russia and China, albeit Russia bearing the brunt of these threats and sanctions since early ’14, methinks one will see this ‘cooperation’ continue at an ever increasing pace. The massive oil and gas pipelines to feed China’s ever more voracious appetite for energy has already partly gone in service and the main network will commence operations by year’s end, if memory serves the actual pipes are laid, it’s the infrastructure and physical plant needed at the borders for distribution that is in process.
As an aside, now you know why Germany and a couple others were so head over heels in favor of North Stream 2. Keep kicking Russia in the shins and see what happens to the life blood of European Business and households, Russian gas and oil, with Russia having a major, and larger than Europe, customer who pays rubles up front and doesn’t void their bladder in Russia’s breakfast porridge every morning.
All in all, it’s going to be an interesting, and that’s a vast understatement, few years as this cooperation gets sorted out and goes full steam ahead.

So glad Larchmonter included the photos of the pandas. They are very important tools of diplomacy, being gifted to allied states as a sign of friendship. The fact that China gifted the pandas for a stay in Russia is very symbolic. Interestingly, earlier this year, China repatriated the pandas from US (San Diego zoo).
Great writeup Larchmonter445, you should consider going pro!

Something for your consideration 445.

thank you, I loved reading the article.
there is a lot of show, but in that show, a stand out in significance, which thus far seems to be understated.
the policy (effectively) that these two of the world’s three (total) nuclear superpowers, one, the largest economy on the planet, and the other, the emerging (maybe temporarily… or not) military systems technology leader(!), agree to trade in respective national currencies… backed by gold.
combined with the emerging system of effectively circumventing trade, and in articular, energy trade, with the most-villified-ones-of-the-moment, aka Iran and Venezuela is, much more than restricting exports to the U.S. of rare minerals, is the wooden stake into the maniacal zombified obsessively destructive corpse of the empire.
of course the mainstream media won’t address it honestly… but word will come in… from Wall Street and the high end shill, in their global capital city (still) NYNY.
it won’t be presented as directly relating to this milestone, more likely blamed, yet again, like almost everything, on this or that tweet of the constitutionally selected leader; in truth, he’s about as connected to this s#|+ as the hay coming out of the donkey’s ass.
