Thank you for the concise report. Excellence in training on advanced equipment that is state of the art but practical and affordable has to be the formula for success.
Intangibles like will and character just add to the mix–leadership, too.
An immediate question is, whether the US and their allies have a better or worse training of this same type. These simulators were originally being installed for Russia by a German firm (Russians completed the installation), so one would assume the West already has such systems. Any known facts? Anyone?
Yes, of course, I fully agree with you. And am only curious whether this training itself is on the same level in Russia and in the West. I.e.: is there anything special about the Russian one – what distinguishes the Russian version so much as to deserve a special posting of this video here?
The biggest asset that Russia has in it s confrontation with the Empire is Vladimir Putin. Unfortunately that is also its biggest liability. Russia cannot afford to have all its eggs in the Putin basket. No matter how superb a leader he is. And he is the best the world has seen post second world war.
Who else is there? Are Shoigu and Lavrov up to the task?
We’ve seen what happened in Brazil after Lula, Venezuela after Chavez and Argentina after Nestor Kirchner (To be fair Cristina has been very good).
Lets hope Putin runs again in 2018 and stays as long as he can! Unfortunately no Guinness around, but Dos Equis will do. Here’s one to Putin’s health!

Simulators are not magical devices. They simply are useful because they allow cheaper training.
But what matters is the training itself, the ideas and behaviours being taught and learnt.

Russian missile strike kills 17 Syrian marines.. Must be the first major friendly fire accident after almost 10,000 strikes. Sad..
