The Washington Post is frothing at the mouth calling for America to subjugate Russia and China … under the Big Lie of “defending democracy” (har, har, har).
America is increasingly unhinged, as it desperately tries to maintain its Full Spectrum Domination of the planet.
Once again we see the difference between US profligacy and Russian economy where military spending is concerned.
“The SU-25 still does the job it was intended to do? Well, let’s upgrade it, not spend $ billions on a “New, Beaut!” replacement.”
Existing airframe, known weaknesses / strengths, known areas that may benefit from Improvement.
Cost-effective “evolutionary” development, instead of cost-ineffective “revolutionary”, “Let’s re-invent the wheel” development mindset.
The US “may” spend so much more on the MIC, but after all the kickbacks, bribes, “lobbyist” spending, and certainly theft, do the REALLY get a better end-product? Personally I’d prefer not to find out just how good Russian military kit is, the “hard way”.
I note the cost for upgrading the initial nine aircraft “must not exceed 3.3 billion Roubles” – and since this is almost exactly 50 Million USD, we’re looking at about 5.5 million (USD) per aircraft.
Consider that EACH F-35 currently costs $145 million (though the cost “may” drop to a bargain $100 million per-unit by 2019 . . . !), the Russian Airforces could “afford” to refit 30 SU25’s to SM3 spec. for the cost of just the “one” F-35. No doubt as the refit progresses and opportunities for efficiency emerge, the target of 40 airframes will be reached for not a great deal more than the “sticker price” of just the ONE F-35, and that’s the lightweight Air Force variant too.
A mere 20 days into the seizure of power by the corruption-implicated “interim” President Michel Temer, overwhelming evidence has emerged proving that to be true: Already, two of the interim ministers in Temer’s all-white-male cabinet, including his anti-corruption minister, have been forced to resign after the emergence of secret recordings showing them plotting to obstruct that investigation (an investigation in which they, along with one-third of his cabinet, are personally implicated).
Well, let’s just say it this way. A bunch of crooked as hell, rich, right wing, US backed leaders of a coup that just happen to be all white males. Fixed it for you.
That bird sure is an ugly duckling…but I would give up the rest of my life if someone gave me the keys to one fully decked out whi!e the EU comission were in session or the state of the union address underway…
Obama plays Poker!
Putin plays Chess!
Xi plays Go!
The great question
Is Obama bluffing ?
If not, better to migrate far from any military base, whatever your country is

All white male cabinet? WTF?
Are we now all white male-ist? Because it’ s just OK?
Just listen to yourself.

Question: How does the Grach compare to the Warthog in ground support?
Ask Pierre Spey!
He’d likely approve of the SU25. It’d be interesting to know how he rates it when compared against his design.

Not ugly at all.

Thanks for the good laugh!
