“What we begin today, in our opinion, is long needed and very important move for our country – a movement of young members of the army. In our country there are more than 5,000 patriotic organizations, those who love our history and want to learn it, those who believe that our country has a great future, those who believe in our youth, the students, the new generation”, said Shoygu.
According to him, the goal of the movement is that every young soldier firmly believes in his homeland, loves his homeland, knows its history, is proud of the feats of fathers and grandfathers, and to understand what is to be pursued, reports Sputnik.
Shoygu added that hundreds of centers to prepare cadets will be established throughout the country.
The Minister stressed that the cadets will participate in all kinds of Olympiads, contests and competitions.
The rally in which, in addition to participating cadets, participated representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defence, the Federation Council, State Duma of Russia, the Russian student movement and other social organizations (about 500 delegates from 85 regions), was held in the Congress and Exhibition Center “Patriot” in Moscow.

Russian Defense Ministry has decided to revive the practice of the Soviet era and start a movement of young soldiers “Junarmy”, in which pupils learn to assemble guns, pass military training, are taught military strategy and history, learn discipline, responsibility and moral values that develop the patriotic spirit and strengthen national unity.
Test project “Junarmy” started on Sunday, 22 May, in Jaroslavsk area, but the full scope of project will start on 1 September.”

A look at the Army that used to be Self-Defense forces, then Militiamen, and now looking more and more like a professional Army, with the green recruits, young and vibrant men and women, the battle tested veterans of the Somali Batallion commanded by Givi, the platoons fighting the Ukrops in Avdeevka.
The thoughts of artists and journalists, the hopes of the people of Donbass, calling them good people of Donbass would be redundant.
I remember an expression by Zhirinovsky, upon visiting Crimea, he uttered in disbelief:
“These people are more Russian than us!!”
What can be said about Donbass? It still is in grav danger, any day the Fascist Bulitzkrieg will be unleashed, any day thousands oof people will be dieing. Most of them will be those Nazis fed and raised by Murica and its NATO dogs, but even if a few of these young men and women die, that will be too many. These Men and Women, are the Cream of the Crop of Russia.
The film ends with the My 9th celbration in donetsk, and the parade of the Immortal Regiment, the new members of this Pantheon, the soldiers and volunteers of Donetsk that have perished.
Donbass still needs our support and any help that can be given.
The documentary is in Ruussian but the human emotions are universal. Over two hours but well worth the time.
‘Baltic countries have repeatedly criticized the German politician for his “courteous attitude” toward Russia. Most often, this criticism has sounded from Lithuania where anti-Russian sentiment is especially strong.
During his visit to the Baltic States, Steinmeier responded to these accusations, stressing that in his experience the problem can’t be solved if it is being ignored and downplayed. The West can consider sanctions and military decisions, but it won’t be able to achieve any progress if it does not consider the option of negotiations, the politician said.
“We can talk about the relief of the sanctions when the progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements is achieved,” Steinmeier told the magazine Der Spiegel earlier.
Recently, German officials announced the possibility of deploying its military forces to Lithuania as part of a NATO mission to deter an alleged Russian threat. A final decision on the deployment of German troops, however, has not yet been reached, German media reported.
According to N-TV, Steinmeier and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are showing restraint on this matter. On the one hand, Bundeswehr has already reached the limit of its capacity due to participation in the various operations abroad, and on the other hand, German authorities fear that the military build-up in the Baltic States would negatively affect negotiations with Moscow over Ukraine.
Since 2014, NATO has been building up its military presence in Europe, particularly in eastern European countries bordering Russia, using Moscow’s alleged interference in Ukraine as a pretext for the move.

I was just reading Steinmeier’s comments in a press release at http://www.osce.org for today’s opening of the conference. Again, his remarks sound remarkably close to those of Putin and Lavrov on the topic of intl terrorism.
I also noticed on his Twitter account (@GermanyDiplo) that he had to change planes during his visit to the Baltics. Technical difficulty apparently. Is that something a diplomat would normally post? Or did he want to publicise that? I admit I was a bit concerned for Herr Steinmeier at that time.
So what is going on here??? :-) I also find him impossible to read – whose side is he supporting anyway? US? Russia? Evidence to suggest both. I conclude that he is really only supporting Germany’s side… Which is WHAT exactly?? Do you suppose he and Merkel will open up about this anytime soon?
