UPDATE: According to the April 25 press briefing by the Russian military:
– only 22 US, French, British missiles hit their targets;
– 46 missiles were intercepted by Syrian air defense systems covering the capital of Syria and Duvali, Dumayr, Blai, and Mazzeh nearby airfields;
– a part of the missiles failed to reach their targets by different, apparently technical, reasons.
On April 25, the chief of the Russian General Staff’s main operations directorate Colonel-General Sergey Rudskoy held a press briefing debunking the Pentagon’s version of the April 14 missile strike on Syria.
During the press briefing, the colonel-general showed wreckage of the intercepted missiles and said that one unexploded Tomahawk cruise missile and one high accuracy air-launched missile launched by the US-led bloc had been delivered to Russia.
He added that according to the updated data only 22 missile hits on targets in Syria can be confirmed.
Earlier the Pentagon said that the US, the UK and France had launched 105 missiles and all of them had hit their targets in Syria.
The Russian military says that 71 missiles were intercepted by the Syrian Air Defense Forces.
The information is rather incomplete still on the zionazi missile attack. Using the above Southfront report and this one from RT, one can get perhaps a clearer picture.
105 hits in Syria? Not likely, says Russia & shows fragments of missiles downed in US-led strikes

“On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry held a media briefing to present its analysis of the missile attack on three sites in Syria by the US, UK and France on the night of April 13. It said evidence on the ground, including missile fragments, holes made by the warheads and damage to the targets, could positively confirm only 25 successful hits, calling the US claim of 105 missiles reaching their targets dubious.
The prime target for the night attack was said to be a research center northeast of Damascus,… The center was targeted by 76 missiles, according to the Pentagon report on the operation. The Russian Defense Ministry said it could confirm only 13 hits
Of the remaining 63 missiles, 46 are presumed intercepted by the Syrian air defense, the report said. The number is based on data collected from the weapon systems and the fragments collected in the five areas, where the interception took place. Rudskoy added that some of the missiles appear to have failed to reach their target due to a technical malfunction rather than interception, something which posed a threat to nearby residential areas. Two projectiles, a Tomahawk sea-launched cruise missile and a precision air-launched missile of a model not named by the ministry, were found in relatively undamaged condition and transported to Russia for further study, he said.
Rudskoy said the results of the attack on two other sites – military depots located near the city of Homs – were similar. One was reported as having been hit by 22 missiles, of which Russia could confirm only seven, with most of the damage done to auxiliary buildings rather than the depot targeted. The other was targeted by seven and hit by two missiles, the report said. The Syrian air defenses intercepted 20 missiles in the area, the general said, adding that most of the advanced weapons fired by the ad hoc coalition were nullified by Soviet air defense systems designed some four decades ago.
The Russian military has repeatedly said it was baffled as to why the US and its allies would target a site near Damascus, which they supposedly believed to be full of chemical weapons. If that were true, the release of the toxin from the damaged compound could have claimed tens of thousands of civilian lives, Rudskoy pointed out.”
This report has useful information on how the S-300 SAM system works.
Top 3 Facts About Russia’s S-300 System Amid Possible Upcoming Deal With Syria

Ok. let’s see : There were 105 missiles ( Tomahawks and others) launched. 71 were intercepted and 22 were “hits” and 2 were duds dropped along the way so that makes 10 missing.
So in honor of the 10 missing “Tomahawks” I offer this politically corrected nursery rhyme.

the Anglo-Zionist forces, in a cunning plan to provide the good guys with misleading information about their weapons systems, designed their missiles to be intercepted or fail.
Two possible theories on why so many US missile simply don’t reach their targets.
1) The Russians are using some sort of EW that neither the Russians nor NATO want to talk much about. Some sort of “GPS Spoofing” has been previously talked about as a way of getting GPS guided missiles to go someplace other than where intended.
2) The weapons manufacturers in the US are essentially traitors to their country. No, I’m not saying they’ve sold out to Russia. But what does sometimes appear to be the case is that they are much more focused on profits, stock options and bonuses than in providing weapons needed for the defense of one’s country. Does a company spend more on QC, or just book that money as a profit? Personally, I call a person who gets rich providing shoddy weapons to his country’s military a traitor.
It doesn’t have to be either / or. It could be a case of the combination of both.
Thanks for your insights. Back in the seventies, I believe it was Popular Mechanics magazine that bravely ran a revealing article by David Hackworth called “Our great Vietnam goof”. In it the author, a military man, chronicled the expensive weapons systems our soldiers were given to fight with that again and again, failed, or just didn’t perform as advertised. I fear that in 2018 we have more of the same, only now the weapons costs are even more absurd. If the story is true about the Syrians handing the downed missiles over to the Russians, particularly that “precision air launched missile”, I can imagine the Russians remembering a few things going back many years. One of these was a continued astonishment over how little money, relatively speaking, the Americans would sell their country out for. There is a dangerous attitude that has developed in the US over the decades. I suspect part of it is due to the mind-set of the Nazi scientists brought into America after the war (study Operation Paperclip)–they were great believers in technology, and during the war the Nazis did develop some amazing weapons, but these things did not bring them victory. Beware, America. Pride goes before destruction. As far as World War Two goes, I believe that the entire world lost that terrible conflict…. by design,It caused a mortal wound to the spirit and soul of humanity that there has been no recovery from.
The Russians did not use their S-300 and S-400 missile systems in Syria, as there was no need. It would have been foolish to use expensive missiles against, basically, old Tomahawk cruise missile technology. They left the job to the Syrians. Commentators stated that Syria used old Soviet missiles systems against the cruise missiles. That is not entirely correct. Syria also has the Pantsir AA missile system. Each launcher has 12 missiles + two 30 mm cannon. Their use was shown on the Internet. They were specifically designed against cruise missiles and combat aircraft flying at low level and mid level. After the US led attack, Russia began delivering more weapons to Syria. I presume this also included additional shipments of the Pantsir.
